He couldn't help it. It being a gut feeling boiling up inside of him. Young Rensu had been quite worked up since he got to set sights on the gargantuan powers of Carva and the accompanying Saiyans present. This was not to count out his superiors, but there was something about each present warrior that set the boy off. As if he had to go and learn more than what he already did. He couldn't exactly describe it. It bothered him but not for an extended period. If anything, he pondered the feeling for a few minutes then ended up distracting himself without noticing. One could suppose ignorance was indeed bliss after all. It was for the youth.
He now stood quite idle, his thoughts clouding his focus. He wondered if he could become as powerful as his elders. And if he could, would there be anyone to aid in his growth? He grumbled as he questioned his wonders. Heavy Weights equipped. Carva
Thread PL: 113,377 Weighted PL: 28,344 RensuWhat a joke. Carva found himself wanting after the would-be battle, the intruder having seemed like he MAY have been a challenge at first glance. But of course, the very first attack that had come at Carva had been easily blocked, leaving the Elite to question his opponent's true power. Of course he'd used a nifty technique in front of Carva, but Carva once again found himself unimpressed.
Now, he stood atop the highest cliff that he could possibly find, his eyes cast downward over the Kingdom. In all his years, he hasn't seen such a beautiful sight. In the distance, a fire began to grow over the cities, now being rebuilt by the Brenchian slaves. He could take pride in the fact that he'd had a major part in this progress. The corner of his lip curled upward, his black hair swaying in the wind as his weighted white cape billowed outward from behind him. This was his home...they were his family now.
But something did bother the Elitest of the Elite...why hadn't he achieved his full potential? In some ways, it was a good thing. In some ways it meant that he could simply continue to progress continuously, becoming the legendary warrior that he believed himself destined to be. Still...it was troubling. His thoughts wandered back to Mitsuba on Earth...the child who'd surpassed him before his very eyes. In one of his darkest moments, he'd been beaten by a child and this brought forth a latent anger from within the warrior.
As he looked down into the rocks below him, he ended up noticing the strange child from the battle. The kid seemed to have a bit in common with Carva, the child looking to be in deep thought as well. Carva tilted his head, curiosity piqued. He'd lift himself off slowly and float downward, landing next to the child, speaking, his voice a deep baritone. "Greetings...did not notice ya there kid. Zeni for your thoughts?"
He'd dwarf the child, standing nearly seven feet tall and appearing to be built like a stone wall. He didn't look at the child as he awaited an answer...he didn't find the kid to be a threat. He was a burgeoning ally. Carva simply needed to get to know him better. PWC: 393 TWC: 393
"You claim to know the definition of "pain". Allow me to show you it's true meaning!"- Carva
The brow of the young'un cocked in curiosity as his ears pricked. He sensed someone by him. The level was familiar and about identical to Carva's. And, as one would expect, it was exactly him. The gargantuan Saiyajin joining the youth where he stood. Just as one would've thought, the elder warriot did indeed dwarf young Rensu considerably. His seven foot stature outdoing the young boy's five foot. Though Rensu didn't turn to look to Carva quite yet, he did notice the same flame growing off in the distance. Darn. To think, all of this was thanks to his lords and superiors fighting and conquering this planet. It was incredible. All it took was strategy and strength. And Rensu knew he could contribute to the strength factor and maybe some strategizing. Just not now. Soon. When he was way, way stronger.
Now he turned to face Carva. The youth lifting his chin up to meet the eyes of his elder. Ren's hands placed by his sides, hands open and fingers curling in and out periodically before simply hanging free. No emotion on his face currently. He wasn't happy or mad or anything right about now. Well, frustrated right now. He wanted to see someone get beat the hell up. He wanted to learn some new techniques. But unfortunately that wasn't going to happen. Not currently. Again, perhaps soon. Carva engaged him first. Mighty nice of him to save the youngster the hassle of starting the conversation. Blinking and wearing a somewhat stern expression that seemed uniform for Saiyan youth who were serious, Rensu found himself folding his arms over one another. Nodding, he spoke.
"Hello," He replied.
Carva asked if he could spare some zeni for his thoughts. Well, that was nice of 'em. Tilting his head a little, Rensu spoke back. "I can't say there's much on my mind, Carva. I was just kinda thinkin' about how long it'd take to get stronger. I wanna help out the King and everyone else. Protect the Saiyans who are growing up and getting stronger like I am. Problem is, I don't know how to get stronger on my own. It's stupid...but darn. I need a teacher or something like one.." Rensu huffed as he halted his speech. "Sorry. That was a lot." Ren's cheeks seemed to tint before fading quickly. Adjusting his composure and silencing himself now. Waiting for his elders response.
"Hrmf..." Carva began, folding his large arms across his chest. "...it takes a long while to gain such power, Rensu. Take it from someone who has been in this universe for one score and a year. But you see, I have been training snice before you were born." He chuckled a bit. Carva was of legal drinking age, twenty one to be exact. He could still remember waking up that day, the cold. The sound of soldiers marching across the metal floors of his uncle's warship. He never disclosed this information, he didn't know the young Saiya-jin very well. But his eyes were thoughtful as the sun's flames reflected off of the dark pools.
Awkward silence. Finally the elder spoke again, a twenty one year old with the wisdom of a seasoned warrior. "You may already know this, but we are not the same. The power you saw from that fool and I was due partly in fact that I have that blood of an Earthling...a DROP mind you..." he made the point very clear, the Earthling in him was VERY miniscule. His appearance was ALL Saiya-Jin though. "...and those of my kind normally are able to drawn upon a hidden power. I knew of mine when I was eight."
He turned to look at the younger man. "I was born a low class, but when I was six I began training. Soon, I was being raised as an elite. Power takes time kid, and experience. I have been training for fifteen years." He let that fact hang in the air as he opened up about himself a bit, letting Rensu know. "You claim to know the definition of "pain". Allow me to show you it's true meaning!"- Carva
PL: 27,500 Weighted PL: 6,875 "Ah," Rensu hummed as Carva revealed his genetics. Mostly Saiyan, but mixed enough to harbor a strength exclusive to mutts. It was certainly unexpected and one wouldn't be able to tell just what Carva was by sight alone. Through vision solely, he looked like a pure Saiyan. Devoid of any other blood or genes. Interesting, indeed. The youth's arms had unfolded from his chest and dangled by his sides once more. His eyes still locked dead onto the eyes of the elder Saiyan. As Carva spoke, Rensu interpreted his words in his own ways. Dissecting each word and every phrase the male spoke of. He said that any true warrior could traverse the destructed road set before them and reach the end of their journey into glory. They simply needed to train. After all, he did say he himself trained for more than fifteen years. Longer than Rensu had been alive, even. A feat that he'd attain in the coming years, surely.
It seemed this was just what Ren wanted to hear.
The youngster turned heel and walked a few feet from his elder. Facing away, then turning once again to face Carva. A fine amount of distance between the two males. "Time and experience," He repeated. His legs shuffled outwards, his right foot forth and his left remaining back but fixed to be turned a tad. His hands snaking around one another until he positioned each fist to be locked where they need be. His right fist locked by his ribcage, whilst his left hand was extended outwards. Acting as a guide for his Ki blasts or if he needed to guard against oncoming attacks. He was a young boy and certainly smaller than his larger adversary, but the blood of a Saiyan thrived in his hull. Carva must have known what was to come next. Despite Rensu being fully aware of what Carva could do, and his base power in general, he felt not a smidgen of fear here. Although, Carva felt weaker here. He was about equal to Rensu! Granted, Rensu, himself, was being weighed down by magnificent training accessories. His torso pulled by the heavy torso armor he had equipped. Never the less, Rensu feared not. He felt like he could withstand anything thrown at him.
Taking a breath, Rensu spoke aloud, "Carva! Will you pass some experience down onto me, and make my journey a little easier? Please, I can handle anything you got!" The youth spoke valiantly. Truth and desire for growth burning in his eyes and heart. Had Carva the eyes of a seasoned veteran, he'd be able to pick up on the young man's drive.
His black hair swayed in the morning breeze, the sun as fire in his eyes. Granted, he was surprised the younger Saiya-Jin hadn't lost respect for him due to his lineage Carva was still a bit leary of the young warrior. This kid was almost as eager as Carva was when he'd begun training with...Tomina...yes. Tomina, hard as she was, had been good enough to pass her knowledge onto Carva. True, she hadn't taught him everything she knew yet but that was to come later.
His white cape billowed behind him as the and he turned to study the kid, tilting his head. "If you want me to train you, then it isn't so much about what I can do. No, it's quite the contrary. I know what I am capable of." The older warrior smirked, circling around his potential student. "No, I need to know what you can do. I need to know the extent of your power, Rensu. True I can see your potential. I am sure his majesty sees it, but as your potential sensei...I must know what you are capable of. Now..."
He turned away from the young Saiya-jin and walked away, his solid black armor gleaming in the morning sun. About ten paces away, he'd turn to face his pupil and steel himself..."...power up to your very limit, and show ME what YOU can do!"Pwc: 235 TWC: 917
"You claim to know the definition of "pain". Allow me to show you it's true meaning!"- Carva
Rensu took what he was told and cemented it in his memory. He wouldn't forget that, even if the other male found it meaningless. Rensu decided that the phrase simply meant that if you were going to test someone, ensure that you know what you are worth. Make the opposition discover their own innate power. Force them to unlock it and make the fight more destructive and awesome. The boy nodded in acknowledgement. Understanding what needed to be done. Besides, Carva already demanded him to power up to his max and give him a mighty fine show. Unfortunately, Ren seemed insistent that he kept his weights on. He had no other methods of bulking besides removing them. He'd simply need to pad himself up and give one hundred and five percent more effort than per usual. So be it. Standing upright, the boy charged himself up. His muscles tensing and blood gushing through his veins. His Ki like a flame and flowing like fire at a camp.
After a moment of powering himself up, the youth charged forth. Headfirst and clearing the space between he and Carva quickly. Rensu unleashing a barrage of punches and kicks. It was humorous from an outsiders perspective, but he was forced to engage in flight at the same time. His body lifted from the ground as he threw several punches and kicks. His aim directed for Carva's torso and abdomen. However...due to the power gap, it was more than likely that he would be denied any blows and rendered pathetically outmatched. Though, with that in mind, the young'un tensed his body. Hoping that through bracing himself, he could repel as much damage as he could from any retorts Carva may have responded with.
Carva meant what he'd told the young one when he told him to power up to his max and hit him with everything he had. Of course he did, he had to know where Rensu stood in terms of power. He narrowed his eyes as he watched the youngin' flourishing his aura, his muscles tensing as he did. His lips would curl upward into a smirk as he sensed the lower power of Rensu...could is be that this child would be moldable? He commended Rensu..."Good...very good. You must realize though that having power is one thing...but knowing how to use it is far more crucial. Now come at me, Rensu!"
The experienced soldier braced himself, his senses as sharp as a razor. He followed the child's movements not with his eyes, but mostly with those tendrils of ki which reached out into the ethereal to "feel" Rensu's movements. The truth was that Carva was a well trained killer, a destroyer of those who stood before him...but now? He was a teacher..
As Rensu drew closer to Carva, the older warrior would thrust his hands out to block his pupil's punches...watching the slight twitches in the muscles of the child, anticipating his moves. Upon finding one opening in the boy's defense, one large and viscious fist would jet toward Rensu's midsection and strike with the force of a rock. The lesson here was simple..."Yes...I hit you with my full force. But I ask of you, Rensu. Would you expect an enemy not to do the same?" His own hard jab would likely knock the breath out of Rensu, and Carva would stare coldly at his new pupil. He would state flatly. "Are you gonna cry now? If so, leave. I've no need to train crybabies."

The choked sound of the youth gasped out of his lips, his flight reverted to him standing on the ground with both feet. His mouth agape, jaw dropped as he clutched his stomach with both hands. The might behind Carva's fist was incredible, more than anything he had ever experienced before. He stumbled backward, some. His pupils trembling with pain. He was still listening to everything around him, though. Carva taunted him, explaining he had no time for weaklings. Silence fell over the youth as he regained his stamina. Standing back upright, his midsection now bruised. A spot of black where Carva had impacted him. He would take the attack and convert the pain into experience. No way he was going to lose a potential mentor. Not now.
"Hn," Rensu hummed. Powering himself back up to fighting standard, his Ki rising off of him like it was mirroring the fire in his heart! Quickly, the boy dashed forward. His arms swinging back and forth with each long stride he took, returning to his instructor. However, rather than open up with a full on barrage of attacks, Rensu had thought of a newer strategy. Albeit, it was a tad immature and not failproof. It was something, though. As Rensu closed the distance, he immediately leaped up. Somersaulting into the air and spiraling during his descent. His body tucked in, before opening up. His left leg extended out. The goal was to smash his limb into Carva's head or torso. However, his fallback plan depended entirely on whether Carva blocked his attack. Had he done so, the youth would continue the spinning motion he had been in previously, only to land on the ground and rise back up with a fierce knee strike. He felt powerful, but in reality, the knowledge of him being outclassed thrived in the back of his head. He'd need to turn off his inhibition for this battle.
Words seemed to not exist right now. The boy was focused fully on proving his worth.
Carva grunted, and would have smiled a bit. But that little bit of human blood coarsing through his veins wasn't enough to grant that sort of sympathy toward anyone. Sympathy wasn't a part of Carva's vocabulary for the most part and it wasn't something that he'd shown much. It was a fleeting emotion, gone from his persona long ago. Though he would never say it though, he did see potential in Rensu.
He couldn't let him know that though. He simply drove his fist into the youngster's abdominal muscles, sending him stumbling backward a bit. He noticed the kid's eyes trembling with pain, but noted duely that he didn't cry...Carva smirked. "Good to see that you can take a hit. That's important in our line of work...the second thing you should realize about combat is that while you may find yourself causing your opponent pain..." he braced himself, sliding his strong leg out behind him to hold his weight, one fist down at his side and the other held before him open palmed. "...you too will experience pain, and more often than not..." his expression became stoic. "...that pain will be great. It will make a normal man want to just lay down and quit, but a true warrior? He will use that feeling. He will use it to drive himself to victory! Do you understand?!"
Before Carva even knew it, Rensu had advanced upon him. As far as speed was concerned, the kid had that...but how hard could he hit? He could still see the apprehension in the eyes of the younger Saiyan...that same look he'd had when he faced Tomina. His expression went blank for a moment and he felt the youngster's kneecap crack into his right jaw. Carva quickly reached up as his cheek showed a slight red mark, and he would catch Rensu around the waist on his revolution, throwing his weight backwards and using the kid's own momentum against him..."Rule three! Learn to recover quickly!"
He could honestly throw the smaller Saiya-jin around like a sack of potatoes. It was how Rensu countered that would save him as Carva attempted an Earth Wrestling move! Saiya-jin Suplex! Would he drop Rensu on his head, or would the kid find a way to counter?Pwc: 383 Twc: 1,607
"You claim to know the definition of "pain". Allow me to show you it's true meaning!"- Carva
A suplex! Agh, how was he going to escape this one? There had to be some kind of solution. Otherwise, he'd be vulnerable to some deathening head damage. Rensu was unable to reverse this. His size was a massive detriment to the possibility of escaping this Earthling attack. It simply wasn't happening. Fine...Rensu grunted in utter pain as he was lifted over Carva and onto the ground. His arms extended, however. Hoping to clutch the ground and lessen the impending damage. The moment Carva released the youth, however, he'd take to rolling away. Gaining some distance between he and his opponent and mentor. Standing up and huffing quiet heavily. His body being taxed and the need to work harder apparent.
He watched Rensu like a hawk, taking note of the visible pain now on the boy's person. His dark eyes would narrow into slits, and his lips would curl upwards. The kid wasn't willing to give up even though Carva could destroy him quite easily. Had he wanted to, the hybrid could have broken Rensu...but the kid was a possible new recruit. The Saiyan Galactic Kingdom needed his raw potential.
After a few more moments of contemplation, he straightened up and centered his ki, suppressing it. "Fine...I will train you. But be warned, I will not hold back in the process. As I have said, an enemy wouldn't hold back. You should treat every battle as a life or death situation, even amongst allies." Rensu would feel Carva's own ki slowly dropping in attempt to match his pupil's, and make this a bit more of a fair fight. "Prepare yourself, Rensu! The real training begins now!"Pwc: 159 Twc: 1,766

"Yes!" Rensu thought to himself. He was somewhat tired, but he could hold on for much longer. His internal cry of joy was due to what Carva had said. The male agreeing to take the youth under his wing and help him become a greater Saiyajin in the name of the Kingdom. Things were officially beginning to look up about this whole thing. He found himself a mentor on his very first try. And, he was lucky enough for his teacher to be a proud soldier and warrior under the King, himself. Alright! Carva may have had noticed Rensu crack a smile. It was the half type, many Saiyajins were known for making when they were pleased with some kind of news or occurrence. This one was exactly that. He had to prove he was worth Carva's time, now more than ever. If he had given up, then that word of confirmation would've been for naught.
Taking a breath, Rensu stood upright. His hands locked at his waist and his eyes locked onto the elder. He felt a shift in Carva's power, the older man seemed to be leveling himself off in order to fairly gauge that of his pupil. How nice of him. Rensu wouldn't say now, but he would've preferred the lingering challenge of fighting a giant over someone more akin to his strength. Not for matters of experience gain, but instead simply for the thrill. He was a Saiyajin after all! "Okay! The real fight begins now, I will not disappoint!" Rensu said, nodding once in acknowledgment of his sensei's warning. It was now time to show just how strong he was in a life or death situation. Being sturdy was one thing, but knowing how to fight effectively was an entirely new subject. Assuming a battle stance, it was now time to initiate this battle.
"Ora ora ora!" The boy shouted, thrusting his open palms forth. Numerous Ki blasts escaping his body and exiting towards the foe. It seemed that Rensu's aim was awful. As many of his projectiles missed Carva altogether, some going past the elder and some crashing dead before him. However, it served a purpose. As his aim was fully intentional. The summoned debris and dust would serve as a thick veil. Halting any forms of vision from being present. His volley of blasts continued for but a few seconds, three in total. Immediately after the barrage, however, the youth took to using his flight ability. Launching himself forward with ambition, skimming along the ground till he felt he was close enough. His following action to contort his body and aim a fierce kick for Carva's torso. A good way to begin the spar, Rensu felt. STAM: 3/3 Rensu opens up by creating a dust dcloud an daiming to kick Carva's chest!
An irritated, yet thoughtful scowl would appear on Carva's face at the boy's first technique. Truly, it wasn't a huge suprise that Rensu would use the environment to his advantage. He found himself wondering if maybe Rensu harboured some of that Earthling blood Carva did, but he knew different. He knew better, this kid was a full blooded Saiya-jin. Carva could tell he was by his mannerisms and such. He found it quite amusing that this pure blood showed him quite a bit of respect.
So Carva would duck and dodge in an attempt to avoid the ki blasts slamming into the ground behind him, not paying a lot of attention to the dust cloud gathering him. It was happening so fast, the Hellish Hybrid didn't recognize what Rensu had done until it was too late, his eyes going wide and burning with dust. "Shit! Good move..." he growled under his breath, trying to keep up with the young warrior's movements. He thought to himself. "...damn kid's got a good plan. I'd commend him on it if..."
"Oof!" His lowered power level made the kick hurt a bit more and Carva would stumble backwards slightly. He'd quickly recover and charge at the youngster though, drawing back his left fist. If he saw Rensu focus on it, he'd intentionally whiff with a left hook and swing his right fist out behind him as he pivoted on his feet, attempting a spinning back fist to Rensu's chin!Pwc: 246 Twc: 2,021 Melee dmg of 5%! 450, with suppressed PL!

The youth grunted as a swift fist came to clash into his cheek. The momentum behind the blow sending the young'un tumbling onto his rear. His skin bruising right there and the boy recovering quickly as he could. Rising to his feet and placing his fists by his side. Eyes narrowed with focus, he had to think of his next move. It'd need to be smart and tactical. He needed to be as on top of Carva as he could. Any weakness shown would result in a defeat. He'd take a breathe before charging back forth. Sprinting towards his foe and immediately hitting the ground, similar to how an Earthling baseball player would before popping back up with a fierce uppercut. The boy desiring to make this close ranged until he was knocked out or forced back.
