Thimble would enter the café, his rain drenched turban forcing him into an uncomfortable slouch until he found a hat rack, hanging it up and running his hand through his damp hair, "Jeez..." He'd breathe out, rubbing his eyes, it was quite an uneventful day. He spent most of his time in the shoddy apartment he was stuck in, and the other time taking jogs and reading this dumb little book he had, it was called, what? Making millions from scratch, it was bull definitely, but he's learning something... At least, he's pretty sure thinks. He'd sit down on the bar, once breezy and puffy Gi, now wet, soggy, and overall uncomfortable. He'd call a waiter over, ordering a glass of water, it was free and well, he wasn't that hungry.
He'd open up the book, reading excepts, he was surprised he still owned the book, some of the excerpts were so stupidly vague that it made his brain hurt even processing them, he'd chuckle as he reads one out loud, "In order to establish a profit, you must know what it is to gain such." Seriously? Did the author not even proofread? Regardless, he set the book down, drinking from the glass of water, but he noticed strange glances from a table to the far right of himself, what, have they never seen an alien like himself before? He'd set his drink down, standing up, turning around and yelling at them, "Hey! What are you looking at huh? Is there something funny about me?" His rage seethed out, he's not quite sure but he's definitely become a bit more hostile over the years, even now he didn't care about the scene he created, just opting to look back to his table and sit down.
God, the nerve of some people huh? He'd continue reading his dumb book, scratching his head as he tried to wrap himself around an even stupider quote.
The door swung open, and Demalia walked into the cafe. It had been raining outside, but she always had an umbrella with her. That was the beauty of capsules: you could carry many different things easily. Demalia put her umbrella back in its capsule, getting in line for her to order. She had recently gotten back from a trip to Brench, and what an interesting trip it had been. She was going to use what she acquired to the fullest once she got settled back in. For now, she was just going to take it easy and relax. Space travel was rather tiring for her.
It didn’t take long before Demalia was ordering her Black Coffee. She didn’t intend on staying there for too long. Just long enough to relax and read the news before going on her way. Although things took an interesting turn when an alien raised a ruckus. He certainly was an interesting looking individual. His blue skin and turban made him stand out. Although she couldn’t blame him for getting annoyed at other people for staring at him. Her curiosity getting the better of her, the Tuffle hybrid walked over to the bar and sat next to the alien creature. Demalia leaned forward so that she could see the title of the book.
“I read a book like that once. They don’t help with earning money as much as you'd think they would. General advice is the best you can hope for in them. Some people aren’t capable of getting money the way they say you can get them on there. If those books were guides to making money, then poverty wouldn’t exist. The best way to earn money is to use the skills you’re good at to their fullest potential.”
He'd scoff once more at the party who gave the odd stares, maybe he was a bit angrier then usual but he couldn't tell. Although suddenly Thimble noticed a woman coming to him, she looked like she was interested in something about him, he was considering asking what she wanted but she opened her mouth first, Thimble would stay quiet though and let her speak.
He'd nod as soon as he finished, "Really? I kind of knew this was a rip-off but I thought I could learn some things from it, thanks for the advice." He'd shrug and put the book down, "Hey, you seem nice, could I get you something from the menu? I love the food in this place, they're probably the only place in all of Planet Plant that serves my kind of cuisine." He'd smile, "And don't worry I'll cover for it." He'd call a waiter over, ordering a appetizer and handing 7 Ƶeni over soon turning to them, "...So... What's your name?" He'd ask somewhat inquisitively. "Mine's Thimble."

"I'm not saying that the is no good advice at all in there. It's just buried underneath the less useful information. It usually isn't worth buying the book for. Checking out from a library maybe, but not an actual purchase."
Demalia simply nodded when Thimble asked if she wanted anything. She didn't plan on staying here long initially. Although he seemed nice enough and was offering her a free meal. So the least she could do was give him a bit of time.
"That's very kind of you. I'll take a club sandwich. I won't make you spend any more money then that. I'm still going to buy my own coffee. I'm Demalia. It's a pleasure to meet you Thimble."
Demalia extended her hand for him to shake, looking at the smiling alien with interest. She was dying to know what kind of being he was. Although that was something that was rude to ask right out of the gate. It was better to get to know someone at least a little bit before asking that question.
"It seems that you aren't from around here. I'm curious as to what brought you to Planet Plant in the middle of a rainstorm. And without an umbrella from the look of things. You didn't pack one with you?"
Thimble would smile, "It's a pleasure to meet you too Demalia." He'd reach out and shake her hand, although his hand felt coarse, it was still welcoming and comforting. He'd call a waiter over, ordering a club sandwich, handing over 10 Ƶeni, a modest price, but then again every planet's different, he'd chuckle on past memories of when he visited planet Imecka, one merchant attempted to sell him a "Lucky Sandwich" for 78 Ƶeni, he didn't even care for sandwiches. Thimble would look back at her after reminiscing and say. "How'd you guess I wasn't from here?" In a joking manner, it was pretty odd, not everyday a blue-skinned turban wearing alien goes into a café.
"No, I'm not from around here, you could say I came from planet Goburo, but I was only born there, I call myself a planet hopper, but I've only really been to four." He'd say, taking a strange breaded chunk of fish from the appetizer plate, taking a quick bite, swallowing and continuing, "I've only come to Planet Plant because last Planet was, rough, and no, dumbly enough, I did not pack an umbrella." He'd say, sighing, puffy Gi still soggy and wet. "...How about you? While I certainly don't mean to be rude I don't see you as the kind of person to stay in one place either."
“Likewise.”Demalia’s hand would feel smooth and cool to Thimble. She also had a surprisingly firm handshake for someone as delicate looking as she was. Demalia only stood at 4’7, more then a solid foot shorter than the Goburin hybrid. She didn’t appear to be as heavily built as him either. Demalia then withdrew her hand, a faint smile spreading on her lips.
“Well I can’t tell for certain, since I’m not wearing my glasses right now. I think your skin might be blue. And you do appear to be over 5 feet tall. I’m going to hazard a guess that you’re from offworld, even under these conditions.”
Demalia was exaggerating how much her eyesight was affected by her lack of glasses. She still had very good depth perception, although reading small print was a bit more tricky without her eye ware. Demalia’s coffee arrived first. She blew on it a couple of times, then turned her head to face Thimble again. She tilted her head slightly as he mentioned where he was from.
“Goburo… I must admit I don’t know much about that place, other than the fact that the dominant race there are the dominant ones there are the Goburians. Judging from your appearance and the fact that you were born there, I presume that makes you a Goburian. 4 planets is more then I’ve been to: I was born here and recently went to Brench to run a few errands. I don’t expect to leave Plant again for awhile though: I’ve got many things to attend to right here at home.”
Demalia’s coffee arrived while they were talking. It was still hot, so Demalia blew on it a couple of times. She turned back to Thimble to pass the time while she waited. She looked him up and down, noting that he had indeed gotten soaking wet. She had no idea what would possess him to walk in a rainstorm without a umbrella or a coat, but she didn’t want to be condescending towards him.
“You’re going to have to walk back in the rain. How far away is your place? You might catch a cold if you're going to have to traverse a fair distance through this weather.”
He'd look down at her with a glance of realization, "Oh, you need glasses?" he'd shrug and say, "Well you're right anyway, ocean blue, and a height that I wouldn't mind being a bit higher." He'd say with a chuckle.
Thimble would reach for another appetizer, taking a look at the piece of seafood before taking another bite and stretching his arm across his chest. "Yep, I'm an authentic Goburin." He'd say, unraveling his turban to show two long blue bunny ear like appendages stretching from the sides of his head, with a glorious silver tuft of hair in-between. "But only half, the other half is Imekian, and I'm quite proud of it, even if they aren't exactly the most reputable." He'd roll his eyes, listening to her a bit more after ending his sentence.
Thimble would finish off most of the appetizers, leaving some for Demalia if she so wished, shifting his hands, he'd begin touching his wet clothes, he loved his outfit but two things always went wrong, they'd get too rain soaked and become heavier then boulders, or rip too easy, and he'd have to do a quick patch job, this is his only nice pair left, he'd sigh audibly. Thimble elected to keep his turban off the rest of the time, mostly due to the fact it was still dripping wet. Thimble would look back up at her.
"Well, it's only a bit of a jog away." He'd say shrugging, "I suppose it is a bit cold, but whatever, I've been through worse then a little drizzle of rain though." Thimble would say, looking at Demalia with a smile.

“Only to read very small print. I don’t need to take them out too much. They also do help me think clearly. I put them on often whenever I’m working away in my lab.”
Thimble indeed confirmed he was Goburian. Or at least, part Goburian anyway. He was also half Imekian, which Demalia knew even less about. Well, today was a good chance to learn more about them. Demalia took a sip of her coffee, debating something in her head. She closed her eyes thoughtfully, while also drinking a bit more of her coffee. As the warm liquid sharpened her senses, she made up her mind. Holding up one hand to block the view of others, she leaned closer to Thimble and shifted one of her ribbons aside slightly. There in plain view was a horn sticking out of the top of her head.
“You showed me what you were, so it’s only fair that I do the same. I’m half Tuffle, half demon. It’s something I don’t advertise to others generally though. It has a tendency to make them wary around me.”
Demalia put her ribbon back into place, leaning back so that she was sitting up straight again. She took another look at the Thimble, frowning as he mentioned that he had to go for a light jog in the rain. This wouldn’t do at all.
“You’ll get soaking wet and catch a cold for sure! Let me walk you back to your place when we’re done here. My umbrella is big enough for the both of us. It’s the least I could do, since you offered to buy me food.”
"Tuffle." He'd say, looking down at her, he knew who the tuffles were or he had a general idea, they were a race of scientists or people who relied on science, but the other part confused him, well, he did know what a demon was, but he didn't think there could be half demons, and even if there could be, they wouldn't walk around in cafés. "What do you mean by demon?" He'd say, raising an eyebrow, but attempting to not be over inquisitive. After all, people could ask the same about him, although it didn't mean he wasn't surprised at the sight of horns.
Thimble would tie the wrappings that originally was his turban around his waist, mostly to keep it somewhere, and would also adjust his shirt. He'd pipe up as soon as she began to talk again, listening to her, "Well, I mean if you're offering." He'd say, shrugging, he certainly wasn't one to pass up charity, "Sure, it's in an apartment building, I could give directions but it's pretty easy to see, just a few blocks and a few turns, don't feel obligated to walk me the whole way though, just to the entrance will be good." He'd say to Demalia, smiling as he stood up, pushing the chair back in and finishing off the appetizers.
“By Demon, I mean that’s what my father was. The species was literally called “Demons. Which makes me part Demon myself. There are some Demons left, scattered throughout the universe. They’re almost extinct as a race though.”
Demalia spoke quietly again to avoid attracting too much attention on this matter. It wasn’t something she made public for various reasons. The waiter came over with Demalia’s sandwich. She requested to box it so that she could take it with her. She took a sip of her coffee, simply nodding her head at Thimble.
“That sounds good. I won’t insist on coming inside your apartment. Unless if you want me to come in for some reason. I don’t want to intrude on you.”
Demalia finished off her coffee in a couple of gulps, much to the surprise of the watier. He handed over the box containing her sandwich, and Demalia picked it up quickly. She tipped the waiter before opening up the capsule containing her umbrella. She swapped it for the sandwich, and walked over to the door. She opened the umbrella, waiting for Thimble to walk over there and join her. Once he got there, she would walk hold her arm over her head so that her umbrella would cover the Goburin hybrid. She gestured to him to walk out the door with her.
“Lead the way Thimble. I don’t know what your place looks like.”
"Ah." He'd say in response to her explaining why she was half-demon, it still confused him but well, it made more sense then it did before.
He'd search through his pockets, taking his wallet out and leaving a small tip behind on the table, he'd look over to Demalia, "Yes, that'll be fine, and besides my apartment isn't much, there's a lamp and a bookshelf and that's all that's noteworthy." He'd say jokingly, adding a humorous tone to his words. Thimble would begin to check himself, making sure he didn't leave anything important behind, and walk to the front door where Demalia would be standing. "I could hold the umbrella if you wanted." He'd add, finding their height difference a tiny bit humorous.
"Anyways, it's a right turn, walk down the road, another right, left, then... well I'll just tell you the rest on our way there." He'd shrug, pushing the door out and holding it so Demalia could pass by, as they'd exit the café he'd begin to give Demalia directions, and starts to play with his Ki, snapping and leaving sparks of energy in the air as he continued to walk along the road.
Demalia simply listened to Thimble quietly as he talked about his appartment. It sounded that she was considerably better off then he was. Although his living situation didn’t sound too bad from the conditions he was describing. Certainly habitable at the very least. When he mentioned that he could take the umbrella, Demalia shook her head.
“It’s alright, you’re already soaking wet. I don’t want to make you have to hold this as well. Besides, I can hold this thing up here all night if I had to.”
Demalia decided not to mention just how easy it was for her to do something like this. Holding that umbrella above her head was like holding a toothpick. Her arm didn’t get tired at all, despite the fact that she was raising it far above herself. Lifting a car was not a problem for Demalia with the amount of strength she had now. This amount of power she had was not normal at all. She didn’t want to freak Thimble out with what she had: sometimes it even scared her. They walked through the rain in quiet for a bit before Demalia spoke up.
“It may not be any of my business, but why do you want to get rich quickly? Or at least fairly well off? Is there a particular goal or dream you're working towards?”
He'd smile as she declined his offer to hold up the Umbrella, somewhat because it was a kind gesture, but mostly because he just found it a bit funny. "Suit yourself." He'd say, giving a small chuckle as he'd walk along with them.
Of course, he knew that it wasn't too much for her, in fact he was attempting to hide the fact he knew, his genetics have made his eyes quite perceptive, and sometimes it could prove a bit surprising to other people when he could gather so much from simply from simply looking at a person, although mostly it was because he could sense her Ki, it was terrifying in comparison to his, a mountain next to a molehill, but, she didn't need to know that. Suddenly his head would peak up as he heard her talking to him, about the book he was reading.
"Oh, well." He'd be looking for words, trying to finish his sentence, "Well, I just want to get better off." He'd say, truthfully he didn't quite have a reason, maybe it was the power that came with such influence, maybe it was simply having it, he didn't know, but well, he didn't want to waste her time with questions like that. "Oh, my apartment is just over there." He'd point to a metal gate that had a pathway leading up to a medium sized building. "If you want I can just walk the rest of the way." He'd offer to her, looking indifferent.

As they walked towards his apartment, Demalia gave Thimble a curious glance. He simply just wanted more money? Then why was he going to all the trouble to look up information as to getting rich quickly?
"There's plenty of ways to sustain yourself without having to get rich quick, if it's just the necessities you lack. You only need to aim for getting rich if it's part of some goal or dream you want to fulfill. From what you're telling me though, you don't seem to have a particular goal that you're aiming for. Maybe I'm wrong and you do, but if you don't have a big goal, then things won't be as hard to deal with as you think they will be."
Even though Thimble offered to walk the rest of the way back to his apartment, Demalia insisted on accompanying him to the the front door. She didn't want to get wet, and it was best to see him reach his destination. Outside his door, Demalia bit the Gobruin hybrid farewell.
"I suppose this is where we part ways. Perhaps we will meet again sometime in the near future. Stay dry, Thimble."
Demalia lowered her arm, holding the umbrella just over her head as she walked back towards her own home. The day ended up being a rather pleasant one for her. She had a nice interaction with an alien for once. Maybe things were starting to look up for her.
He'd wave to Demalia as he walked in, today certainly wasn't the worst Tuesday he ever had, in fact he'd say it was a very good one, "Don't worry, I don't intend to get drenched in rain anytime in the near future." He'd say giving a small laugh to the Hybrid, "Have a good day Demalia, I hope we can meet again soon." He'd nod before closing the door, taking off his Turban and hanging it on a rack.
Not a shabby Tuesday at all.
