After a tiresome session of training, Hotato was about to go back into his ship to sleep when the idea came to him - "Where am I going? This is not my limit, I should be able to last more than this...". The thought roubled him, that was pratically a light exercise if compared with the Academy's rigorous training. The teenager once again gets the capsule to his artificial arena, but holds it in his palm for some time - "No...at my level this place won't cut it. I need a place where I can be rough, a place I can destroy, where I can use my power without limiting myself. I'm able to stay as a super saiyan for all this time! My energy control and stamina surely have improved, as a result, and that means I can train while in this form now. This is something I need to take advantage off". Hotato flies above the green forest, not stopping to ascend until he can see the the regions nearby - "A desert. Sounds promising...but it even a desert may have life living there, I more than most know that" - he kept going up, trying to unlock other options - "Hum...is the same thing for the sea or the mountains..." - he kept going, using his scouter zooming option to see far away than he normally can - "Still nothing, just some cities, more mountains and more deserts"
At this point the teenager got anxious and sped up his flight, going up like a missile. Stopping when he had almost clear vision of what seems to be half of the planet - "Now I can see many places but even the scouter's zoom can't reach that far down. And now I begin to think there's no safe place to train at full power in this planet. Just too much life. Better ask Koma if he kno-...brrr. Why is it so cold?" - turning back Hotato finds himself in space - "When did I left the planet?! And how am I breat-...this feeling...it's just like in that place" - the feeling of being in outer space triggers a memory of the half-saiyan, his body answering first by adapting to the harsh enviroment - "I had to learn how to survive in these conditions so I wouldn't use all the life support in that strange world. Another thing to thank Blizzer for helping. More importantly..." - reaching his full power in an instant looked so easy now, the golden fiery aura flaming around him - "...now I can really test this! Humm...but I still need a good practice target"
With his scouter, the teen scanned the moon for viability, and it was, but would need some time first to break and build some targets. Then, from nowhere, a meteor shower appeared from behind the large Earth satellite - "Hmm. Well that's...perfect! Hehe"
At breaking speed, Hotato reached the storm of space rocks and started his training. First, flying between them and then surpass all the rocks. The gravity here seemed to be greater than he ever have felt, but he was done with the task easily. The second trial was to go against them, and as he was already ahead, he just quickly turned around and waited. Starting slow at first but soon getting the rythim and speeding until he was as fast as he was to surpass the storm. He repeated this for quiet some time, while also never missing the Earth from sight, but as the planet looked like it wasn't moving, the hybrid noted that the meteorite's trajectory was going around it, so at least he wouldn't became lost in space. "Not...as easy as...I thoug- WOW!" - a little meteorite, smaller a fist, almost got him in the left shoulder - "That was close, also, I'm about to tire. Better start already"
With a few adjustments, Hotato took a fighting stance and began to lash out at the high-speed moving rocks. Small, big or gigantic, it didn't matter to him for with a slight adjustment he shifted the angle of the attack and as he improved his ability to manipulate energy, the power of each strike was also very easy to alter. One rock though, resisted the first punch it took - "Oh yeah?!" - and so, the teen sent another, followed by a knee attack that made the object crack and stop in it's track, being totally broken by Hotato's last punch - "Punch, punch, knee, punch. Got it! Fast, precise and strong. Much too simple but effective, this will be worth training"
But after new discovery, the saiyan felt terribly heavy and movements became slow and difficult to control. His limit. He had reached his limit and the effects of exhaustion and space exposure were starting to show...and the rocks started to hit...hard. "No...ot now..." - he grasped at his throat, looking for air but it was a worthless effort - "How did I...can't...think-...-aight...". And for an instant, everything was darkness...no sound...no sense of anything...just pure black.
"Nothing...this is...nothing...is this death...? That's how...dying...feels like...? Like...nothing?"
.
..
...I don't...want to die...I...DON'T WANT TO DIE!!!!!
With a sudden surge of power, Hotato pull himself back to consciouness - Gahck! - he is still without oxygen, but somehow his body recovered his stamina and was working just fine - "That...feeling. I've also felt this before...long ago, in that forsaken planet...so I still got that feeling, good to know. But that's it for today, better not risk dying again. I can train the new combo back on Earth"
Flying back towards Earth, Hotato was almost remembering that time he spent on the desert planet, alone for years. Remember when he had reached his mother's level. The second level...
