For the longest time, who knows how long, Carva had become comfortable in his own skin. For the longest time he'd hardened his body and steeled his resolve, as if molding himself to perfection. Yet, he'd been killed and when he did get a body? It wasn't his. The form felt weak. He tried to take a few steps and stumbled before face planting into the black dirt beneath his white boots.
"Oh dear..." The Rabbit Witch cringed, pulling a carrot from it's fur and raising it to it's mouth, munching on it. "...you're used to having that cumbersome tail, aren't you?"
The ground of Hell was hot as one would expect it to be. The dirt felt like tiny pieces of brimstone which burned Carva's skin as he laid there for a moment.
His purple fingers had sharpened black fingernails at their ends, those fingernails digging into the dirt, his right hand pounding the ground as he pushed himself to his feet. "No kiddin'...though I never saw my tail as bein' cumbersome. To me, it was a natural thing. Tch..." he hated this particular body for everything it was worth. Honestly he couldn't put his finger on it, but something about that purple alien just...irked him.
"You know, if you get used to that body it might not be such a bad idea to keep it. That is the body of a warrior of Legend, after all..." the Rabbit Witch started, munching on it's carrot. But due to intergalactic copyright laws he couldn't go into detail with Carva.
Carva found himself easily annoyed especially with knowing that Rubega had basically stolen HIS body. He sneered at Rabbit Witch. "Not on your bloody life, you stupid idiot. You should be ripped to shreds for not checking ID or somethin'..." grunted Carva as he clenched his fists. "...you're lucky I need you. Damned lucky."
"Right...so..." The Rabbit Witch non-chalantly circled Carva, it's blood red eyes moving up and down his body. He explained to Carva, as best he could. "...this particular breed of alien is a special one indeed, young warrior. You see it is the very reason I loaned you this body and not just any one. This particular warrior was able to steal-"
"-it's not stealing! The body belongs to me, fool!" He snapped at the demon, shaking with rage, purple aura wafting off of his body.
"Fine, fine...yes...it's "reclaiming" powers are amazing. But..." the Rabbit leaned in, eyes darting back and forth. "...the "Body Change" beam can be thwarted. Just make sure there are no Hell Frogs about, will you? I'd hate to see you trapped in one of those bodies..."
"Hrmf...can't I just use the technique again?"
"Not so...you have to verbally be able to say the magical words at the right time." The Rabbit Witch explained.
"And those are?" Carva asked, curiosity in his eyes.
These words were quite obvious, honestly. But the Rabbit Witch would still tell them to Carva, who obviously was ignorant to such thing. Rabbit sighed..."...simple. Wait for the perfect opportunity, and then focus...picture yourself as a soul once again. Then picture that soul leaving your current vessel as you shout..."CHANGE BODY NOW!" Then, you should be able to switch bodies with Rubega, unless of course he somehow tricks you...which I seriously doubt. He didn't seem like a bright fellow..."
Carva shook his head, hands moving up to the pointed horns jutting from either side of his skull. He wasn't sure whether to believe the Rabbit Witch or not, however he had no choice at this point. He steeled himself and nodded. "Right then. Let's get this show on the road so I can train...I have an Anubian to defeat...and an Android to reprogram with the meaning of fear. It's a long and arduous process, one which I do not care to explain right now."
The Rabbit Witch blinked, as if in shock. This happened around about the time he mentioned the word Anubian. <Did...did he just say...Anubian? He wants to train and defeat....an Anubian?! My god...that's a lofty goal...I...guess it's possible, but insane nonetheless.> the Rabbit Witch got serious. "Right...so I am about to lower the barrier to my town, and you can combat Rubega. Just remember what I have told you, Carva...do NOT transfer your soul into the wrong body. Be PRECISE."
Carva rolled the body's beady black eyes. "It's fine, really. I am a Saiya-jin Elite, you fool! How are you goin' to doubt me when you know that I know what I am doin'?! Just lower the damn barrier and let's get this over with!"
"Fine, fine...sheesh! Don't yell!"
"...screw you, you annoying rabbit! We wouldn't be in this mess if it weren't for your failure to do your job! Now...consider yourself blessed...and drop the barrier. I'm ready to do this!" Amazing. Simply amazing. Though he was in this foreign body, Carva was still showing the spirit of a Saiya-jin warrior. Maybe he didn't realize it...but he soon would. He'd soon realize that it was never the physical body, but the spirit that inhabited it.

He'd soon realize that it was never the physical body, but the spirit that inhabited it.
Later...About An Hour
The body of an Appule thudded against the ground as if thrown by a powerful pitcher. A set of white boots came into view, about fifty of those same creatures laying on the ground, destroyed...clouds rising from them and into the soul clouds above. Carva glowered across the desolate battle field to see...
...himself. This irked him. "DAMN you Rubega! What the hell makes you think you can just steal MY body?! That's MY property..." he roared at his doppelganger. "...give it back RIGHT NOW!"
Rubega had done it. After all those years of trying to take over his nephew's body simply by implanting himself in Carva's mind, he'd managed to do so. No matter what the means by which he'd done so, he was happy with result. Though, something was wrong...he'd yet to push this vessel into it's Super Saiya-jin form. Perhaps he could bluff Carva? No...his nephew was a genius of battle...he'd have to be smarter than that. He smirked..."Now nephew, did you honestly think that simply asking for...no...commanding me to give this body back would work? Nooooo....haha...you're gonna have to beg for it!"
"I said...NOW! I'll not beg you for a damned thing, that vessel belongs to me!" Carva roared and flew forward like a bat out of Hell, drawing his fist back.
Rubega's eyes would darken momentarily and he'd dodge the initial attack, responding with a knee of his own. He refused to let that damned kid get the upper hand, whether this body belonged to him or not!
Carva would place a hand on the chest of Rubega, firing of a swift ki blast to stun his Uncle. What came next...was surprising. Carva had absorbed the impact of the knee only to call out..."CHANGE BODY NOW!" And with a purple flash, the beam would hit Rubega. Two spirits would cross paths, in slow motion...ghost Carva giving Rubega the double finger and laughing.
Rubega now inhabited the purple alien, breathing through his teeth as he stared at his nephew...he then lifted off the ground and his eyes darted toward a pagoda atop a high mountain in hell. He'd give Carva a warning before jetting off. "Just you wait, you little prick! You're about to wish you'd let me have your body, because what I have to show you is going to have you pissing in your pants!"
What could he mean? To be continued...
