29/06/18 We have an updated Beginner's Guide for New Members! Please browse through it to get a feel for our systems before diving in! It is here. 22/04/19 Brand new site skin, what what!!
A lot of time had passed ever since the Saiyan had arrived on Kaio-sama’s planet-- maybe about a month, something like that! Since that moment, the Saiyan had not only been faced with a fair and somewhat exciting challenge of fighting Yamcha but had also got to meet the Shinjin and meet ways again with his old friend, Tomoroko and a newer one, Galen! The latter one had been a right training partner and not only that, but they were also going to finish what they had started long ago-- the training in the Turtle School!
The brown-haired man was his first, one and only student in the Turtle martial arts and a great one at it-- he had already received some training from some cat guy, he didn’t know much about it, but apparently, he knew some stuff from the past practitioners of such refined art. Galen had also developed a variant of the famous technique; the Kamehameha Times Ten! It looked pretty cool, and it was even a little bit funny to the Saiyan now that he had also learned the Kaioken just how alike they were; both were red-colored after all! Cornatto was so eager to finish what they had started that Corn couldn’t wait to get on it with Galen!
All that Galen had left to do were the last teachings of the Turtle School before he’d finally be a master of the earthling arts and hopefully manage to hold out on his own back on Earth if he ever were to go back there. The swordsman was good with a sword but also needed to improve his performance with his fists, not to mention the fact that Corn liked to spar with him when they could!
On the other hand, though, it seemed like Cornatto was going to be more of a teacher than ever in the Afterlife. The man hadn’t exactly been up to teaching way too many students during his time on Earth-- neither in the Soy nor the Turtle styles, but apparently his old friend Tomo needed some help with it, and he’d have been more than glad to help her! He felt a little bit sorry when Kaio-sama decided not to lend his aid in her training in teaching her the Kaioken, but he guessed Corn didn’t have much of a place to suggest stuff like that despite he had tried with a few comments to convince him, but it had gone nowhere.
Either way though, he had promised Tomoroko that he would have helped her with her fighting style and everything else he could have managed. He still didn’t understand the situation frankly, but she had lost her powers fighting her son as a Super Saiyan Three, which he believed it must have been an excellent fight! Too bad Cornatto wasn’t around to witness it, he definitely would have wanted to watch such a fantastic battle between Super Saiyans!
He hoped he could at least make up with that in a fight with Tomoroko soon enough when she would have recovered her powers, at least Corn believed that she would have, he wanted to fight her at her best! That was also why he was set on teaching her; so that he could fight the woman at her best, both that, and he could have used a Saiyan training partner himself, honestly. Given their current situation and the imminent Tournament of Power, he needed to use every slightest second to train and make it fruitful, to do his best and prevent the universe to be erased.
Plus, it was going to be amazing! To fight people from another universe was going to be a blast for sure. Cornatto had been waiting for something like that for a while now, and it was finally going to be a thing! He couldn’t even wait for them to get started, but he still had a month to get ready and even stronger-- and with that, also to Super Saiyan Three! He was plenty sure that he could manage that quickly enough if he put enough effort into it, not to mention that the Kaioken technique was going to make him even stronger in battle.
The Kaioken was one of the things he immediately learned as soon as he got to Kaio-sama’s place and sparred with both Galen and Tomoroko with all of his Super Saiyan power and while they were pretty good teammates combined. They were still barely a challenge, but he didn’t mind either way; they were plenty strong, and he was happy enough that he had at least got to meet them again.
Of course, the stamina cost was still a problem, but he hoped both Tomoroko and Cornatto could get some good results from their training. In the end, the man had ended up asking a Kai to teleport him to the Sacred World of Kais, where he had learned that Tomo was most of the time at least. He didn’t know much if he was allowed or not, but hey, Tomo was there so he guessed it would have just been fine! The place looked pretty neat. It was huge and all and looked a lot like Earth if it weren’t for the sky, but that aside, he guessed it’d be about time to get training started.
So, he immediately sought out Tomoroko’s aura and departed the skies to reach her out, hoping that she’d be up for their training. Soon enough, the Earthling Saiyan flared a ghostly-white aura around his muscular form as he sped up throughout the skies and got close sufficient probably for Tomo to notice until the man himself could see Tomo.
The man halted once he got close enough and lowered to the ground with a click of his martial arts shoes that touched the ground. The Turtle Hermit lifted a hand up in greeting with a big smile on his face.
“Hey, Tomo! I figured we’d start training, how about it?”
Now more than ever the saiyaness had really taken to her training! She was back on Mayuri's planet, doing all sorts of exercised in the mountain region Mar had created for her. There was a look of frustration on the woman's face as she powered up, pushing herself further and further and spiking her power so much that it would briefly surpass her limits only to come crashing back down to it's Super Saiyan level.
"DAMN IT!" Tomoroko cursed out loudly as she tried again to push herself back into at least Super Saiyan 2 with very little success. It was frustrating, to be stuck with such a small amount of energy after having tasted the power of a Super Saiyan 3 for so long... then to be denied the Kaioken technique AGAIN from King Kai was just like rubbing salt in the wound! Even Natto hadn't taught her the technique! Without Natto and without her power, she really was left with nothing and it frustrated her to no end!
She had originally agreed to be Mayuri's guardian because she believed that by serving the Supreme Kais she would be on a fast track to getting her powers back, but no! It felt like she was going backwards!
"HAAAAAAA COME ON" She continued to growl, her golden aura flaring like a solar flare around a sun. Her power continued to spike and die, spike and die until finally it gave up completely and Tomoroko returned to her base form, panting heavily as she fell back onto her butt.
"Damn... I can feel it right there but I just can't get it..." She muttered in frustration, her hands flying up to her head and scratching it in an angry motion. That was when Cornatto's energy suddenly sprang to life on Mayuri's planet, causing the saiyaness to raise an eyebrow and look up from her position. She looked absolutely wrecked, having spent the last 24hrs training straight. She was dirty, bruised, sweating and frustrated.
She managed to push herself back up to her feet and it seemed like by the time she did that, Cornatto was suddenly standing in front of her with his carefree grin. She couldn't help but smile back as she placed her hands on her hips, her tail moving to wrap itself around her waist.
"Well it's about time, I honestly thought you'd never find your way here. I've already been at it for... uhm... well a while I'm not sure how long I've been here actually. Haha... but yeah! Let's train! I need to push passed this stupid block!" She exclaimed with a mixture of frustration and excitement. It was clear Tomo was already tired from all the solo training she had been doing, but it hadn't gotten her very far at all, so any help was welcome... even if she was vastly outmatched again.
Cornatto’s arrival on the planet had probably be sensed earlier by Tomoroko or any other entity on the planet, if there were any, he didn’t know what the place was. But it was still above the realms of the living from what he could tell; he couldn’t even sense anyone from the other side, which said most of it. Then again, he guessed that there was no reason for Tomo to be elsewhere since she was dead and for how long? He wondered why both Tomo and Natto never tried to escape before, it wasn’t like it took that much effort from what he had heard-- apparently people escaping left and right from the Afterlife, but whatever. Cornatto was currently enjoying himself in the realm of the dead and wasn’t probably going anywhere.
Tomoroko had already been training before the Earthling Saiyan arrived on the planet, for reasons to him not unknown but probably not something that Cornatto believed would have had such a significant impact on the Saiyan female for her to be that frustrated. He could sense her ki when he had first arrived, and while it was pretty big, she wasn’t nearly as powerful as she used to be before her death.
When Cornatto could finally see Tomo, his eyesight allowed him to see the woman in a torn manner; not only regarding attire but also physically and mentally. He had seen it before, that other Saiyans would push their limits but without success to become stronger than ever and yet it would never go anywhere because it was useless if one would just set their goal right to their final destination. Of course, Cornatto was also excited to reach the Super Saiyan Three transformation, but he was taking it gradually given how it could have made him turn out-- it was one of the most stamina draining alterations for a Saiyan, and he couldn’t certainly risk it.
Then it was also true that the long-haired Super Saiyan transformation was supposed to be more comfortable to achieve in the other world and he wished to see it happen as soon as possible. So he could perhaps understand Tomoroko a little, but their motivations and situations were widely different, but he was going to do his best to help her! Not to mention that training with another Saiyan was undoubtedly going to benefit him too.
Cornatto rubbed the back of his neck and cracked a playful grin as he giggled. He knew that he had taken a while to reach out to her, but he had indeed been busy with the whole recruiting business, not to mention the fact that he also had to look after his progress and training on King Kai’s planet. His growth there had been quite outstanding, and he still had a lot of latent potentials to bring out from both King Kai and also something he had decided to look into, but it was a little bit too soon for that.
He wanted to get stronger, very much stronger than he had ever been. Ever since he had witnessed Lagerus’ strength, he also wanted to reach that level, but it was going to be difficult if he didn’t push himself over the limit once more for him to go beyond and transform into something further than the regular Super Saiyan Three. It was true that it was a big thought for someone who hadn’t even hit his last transformation, but that was exactly what was driving him to get even better; to get stronger and keep making sure he wouldn’t lose and always break his limits. At the moment, Lagerus was the strongest being that he knew of and only soon he’d also find out what sort of people the Universe Four guys are-- he was so excited for this tournament! A competition with another Universe sounded incredibly fun to him, less the erasure thing but in a certain way, he wasn’t even worried about that because he was confident that his Universe would win. He couldn’t possibly know more than that at the moment, but he was sure that even a Saiyan could stand up to the gods!
“Hehe! Sorry, Tomo! I have been busy with the Tournament of Power… but hey! It’s time for us to get started, yeah? Training with another Saiyan will benefit both of us, I am sure!”
The man tapped his chin for a few moments as he looked at her up and down. “Well yeah, you sure look like ya' have been at this for a day! Are you sure you don’t want to take a breath or somethin’?” - the man asked curiously, but he already knew what her answer was going to be, so he simply just tightened his belt around his waist and proceeded to switch to his fighting stance with a faint smirk on his face. “Let’s see how far I can get you to break your limits…”
[Super Saiyan Full Power [x16] | Power Level: 5.801.568]
The Earthling Saiyan powered up in his Super Saiyan form, with a light hint of blonde in his hair, although they were decidedly brighter than a newly found Super Saiyan, sign that he had long since mastered his form and no longer wasted energy over nothing. He recalled that Tomo too could at least still access the mastered power of the legendary warrior, so that was already something, but she could not also transform into a Super Saiyan Two.
The man had spread his legs ever so slightly and bent them, with also his fist placed right in front of his face, half-clenched while the other arm was inclined at a ninety-degree angle next to his hip with his fist wholly closed.
“I hope you still remember this! Try to mimic me and this pose-- for this is the Soy fighting stance, if you want to get back on track, you’ll have to get used to drawing upon this stance when you fight!”
She knew she probably looked like crap at this point but she hardly cared about that... with the Tournament of Power fast approaching she could feel it in her gut that there would be more trouble. She was nowhere near strong enough to compete for the survival of the universe, but in the event that they won the universe they were protecting needed to be kept in check. She figured Mayuri was going to be at the tournament and so she needed to be here, making sure things grew quiet while all of this happened. For her to be successful, she needed her strength back. When Corn mentioned her being out here for a day she just chuckled and brushed her hand through her hair.
"Yeah that sounds about right. No big deal, I've gone on longer before." She stated nonchalantly, wasting no time and bracing herself into the all too familiar Soy School fighting stance. that alone was ingrained in her brain and impossible to forget, she still fought like a Soy School Master, she just... forgot what it felt like? Any time she used the Soy School the power of her family supported her... Natto's strength, Nasu's pride, Komatsu's love... everything together drove her beyond her limits. Without them? She had nothing fuelling her... nothing giving her the strength she needed to make these attacks count! Maybe Cornatto was right, training with another saiyan would do her a world of good, especially a saiyan she was familiar with. She already felt... calmer than she had been in a long time just by being with Cornatto, like a small spark of the alliance had found it's way to her again.
Though when he asked her for a break the saiyaness would just scoff, already in her stance, waiting for him to begin teaching her. Though the first thing he went on about was that very same stance. This caused Tomo to second guess herself and look down towards her feet before looking back towards Corn.
'Did I just...' She wasn't in the Soy Stance at all... in fact she had subconsciously adopted the Vegetean Fighting stance she once used when she fought for the SAiyan Empire. Her eyes widened slightly and she cursed audibly. What the hell was going on with her?? The only other time she'd ever had lapses in her memory like this was when she crash landed on planet VEgeta when she was 16. The first day she met Natto...
"..." Was... her memory coming back? After so many years were those long forgotten memories finally making their way to the surface? Was that maybe why she couldn't remember how to use the Soy School at all? Why she had taken on the old stance. She shook her head and quickly adjusted herself to the proper Soy School stance, pushing the thoughts out of her mind for now... if this was the case then she would have to try and search her memories for the answers, maybe talk to Komatsu Sr again and see if he might know something she didn't.
"Sorry... yeah of course I remember it! Basic!" She said with a fake laugh, trying to hide the fact that she had screwed up so horribly by passing it off as a joke.
He was almost glad that he had died there for a second, it felt like they had gone back to the times of the Alliance for him to train with another Saiyan such as Tomoroko. Most of his training had been spent with Natto regarding the Soy School, but it was more or less the same thing given Tomo had been one of the founders of the school as well! He couldn’t help but wonder if she wasn’t just going to surprise him for a moment despite her inferior power, he was sure that someone who had managed to muster up all that strength in the past could somehow pull a few tricks out of her sleeves.
She didn’t have sleeves, but that was what he meant; although he couldn’t picture her ultimately defeating him in a one on one, their power gap was too large, but Corn wondered if he could just take her back to the level of the Super Saiyan Two. She wasn’t too far from it; she would have only needed to work hard and let her emotions drive her training. Given the fact that the superior transformation could even be achieved through training, but of course, the latter method was the hardest way to accomplish the stage more significant than a regular Super Saiyan who had learned to control their energy.
Tomoroko herself was apparently some Guardian. So, Universe Seven needed her to watch over the realm while the others would be out there, battling for their survival in the Tournament of Power. If it hadn’t been for the current situation-- with Natto lost and Tomoroko that had also lost control of her power, it’d have indeed been easier, though. But, he guessed they would have had to do with current circumstances and available warriors. It wasn’t like they could do anything else.
The woman immediately decided to step up to the game and begin their training. It made him happy that there was someone else who had been looking forward to this, personally, just like Tomo was relieved that she had found a little spark of the former generation within Cornatto, the latter also felt like that. Natto might not have been there, and it hurt him. Once the Earthling Saiyan wouldn’t have cared for a Saiyan life when he had first begun his journey within a world that as a kid, he wasn’t even aware that extended that much. But after he had met Natto and the Alliance, it shaped his individual into a different person, and as far as he progressed within his power, it felt almost like Natto had passed onto him and the others he had led, the willpower to save the life of all Saiyans.
No matter how evil one Saiyan may have caused, he always spared them. Cornatto simply spared anyone out of kindness, but perhaps a little space in his heart had opened up for the others of his race.
In the end, he had concluded that what Nasu did was primarily reserved for the Saiyan people not to suffer anymore. Although their ways weren’t exactly ones that the man approved of-- he couldn’t certainly blame him to be like Lettis at all, not any longer.
Perhaps, that was the purpose of the final technique of the Soy School. The Spirit of the Saiyans.
The Earthling Saiyan nodded his head, given the fact that she had decided not to rest first, although it looked like she might have used some rest. When he had first issued her to mimic him, a reasonably simple instruction, she did so pretty nonchalantly, and it would have been excellent if she hadn’t assumed an entirely different stance. The Turtle Hermit himself couldn’t muster up the necessary words to call her out on it at. First, that was why he had just limited himself to staring-- that pose, he hadn’t ever learned anything close to the Vegetean Fighting Style, but he had fought people that used it.
He did obviously see through it; she was using the same style that certain people such as the Saiyan General and that Android used. But why was that? Cornatto hadn’t even told her to just switch to a fighting stance; he had told her to mimic him.
“Uhh…”
Cornatto was aware that the Soy School was born out of a variation of said school, but the Soy School eventually got further off the roots of the Vegetean Style and instead became its own thing. But that stance was utterly wrong. It was almost hilarious for Cornatto to see her do that but he didn’t entirely take it too much as a joke as they were supposed to be training at the moment.
The Turtle Hermit blinked, and before he could say anything, the woman noticed her mistake and corrected herself as she finally imitated the taller male. Cornatto quirked an eyebrow at her reaction, it didn’t feel that natural, but he guessed he didn’t have any reason to inquire any further at the moment.
The male smiled and chuckled. “Alright, be serious now, though! You reminded me of our old foes and their amazing power back then… you will excite me like that! It’s true I gotta push you to your limits, but I don’t want to go all out just yet either, hehe.”
The Earthling Saiyan was sure that he would have accidentally let out a little too much power like that other time on Kaio-sama’s planet. He had undoubtedly learned to contain himself, but he couldn’t help it at times but unleash his full power when his Saiyan Blood would make him experience the vivacity of a good battle!
“Get ready… because we fight now!”
Without further warnings, the man immediately stepped into the challenge as he fired up his golden ki and charged at the fellow Saiyan with a haymaker that aimed to hit her. That haymaker, though, wasn’t just one hit that she expected to block, as he would only follow with a flurry of seemingly random but aggressive blows that weren’t exactly as swift as the Turtle School’s but they were meant to hurt the foe.
Tomo's face would go red when she caught her mistake and had to adjust her form. She just couldn't understand why she did it... why did she slip into that old stance? It had been so many years she had been sure she's forgotten how to hold the stance at all. It didn't make sense! Though even as she adjusted her stance, her mind would wander back to her younger days as a part of the Saiyan Empire. She'd been a soldier from such a young age, just like any other saiyan living on Vegeta at the time. The Alliance wasn't even a thought in anyone's mind at that point...
She had a squad of her own then, well, she was part of a squad and remembered she had the hugest crush on her captain, Komatsu. They went on multiple missions together, conquered a handful of planets for the Empire without a moments hesitation. She had been rather ruthless then, laughing when others were in pain... she truly was a saiyan empire warrior back then, striving to become an elite...
For a moment it was like Cornatto wasn't there at all, her eyes grew blank for a minute as her thoughts overtook her consciousness, her memories playing back through her vision like a movie reel. Cornatto's words fell on deaf ears, even when he warned her that it was time to fight. She was so out of it that she just didn't react to Cornatto's haymaker. It hit her square in the face, knocking her back and rendering her vulnerable to the rest of his onslaught.
It quickly started to snap her out of it though, the memory reel that was playing would seem to fast forward through her younger years, displaying the final events of planet CC-83113 before she was shoved in an escape pod by one of the native speecies, the one that had originally took her memories from her. If it wasn't for this alien she might never have met Natto in the first place... never have gone on to create the Saiyan Alliance and shape the saiyan race into what they were today.
"Natto..." She would murmur, her words escaping her lips as the air was taken out of her lungs. Finally fully snapping out of it Tomoroko's eyes seemed to spring back to life, her golden aura flaring up wildly around her as she instinctively transformed into a Super Saiyan. That memory reel was still playing in her mind, though now it went on to show her everything that she had accomplished both with and without Natto, it even showed her brief images of things to come which brought a smirk to the saiyaness' face as she seemed to come back from whatever this was that was ailing her.
She would purposely take the final hit from Cornatto, bending forward over his fist with a light gasp escaping her lips, though the instant she lifted her head...
"Hehehe." she quickly straightened up and returned the strike in full, aiming a similar haymaker to the Saiyan's own face, in the exact fashion he had first assaulted her.
Cornatto giggled softly as he caught the glimpse of Tomoroko blushing at her mistake, that was something he didn’t actually expect from someone of her caliber, but he guessed that everyone could do an error every now and then. Tomoroko herself had always been one of the strongest Saiyans alive and to see here do a mistake like that was actually kind of funny, he wondered just how confused she was at the moment. It wasn’t little to forget a fighting stance, at least for Cornatto. It was something that Saiyans regularly did, so it was just like forgetting how to ride a bike for an Earthling.
Cornatto still remembered when the man met most of the old Saiyan Alliance members and in a certain way, Tomoroko was one of the most impressive he could not forget. Her battle power and Natto’s were already that much high, so it was difficult not to notice him, although he had to admit that he was disappointed that she had lost her powers. He was still happy that he got to meet at least her again, it was a peaceful sensation that he would have never felt if he hadn’t even met her on his way to the Afterlife. It was a genuine and well-appreciated surprise that brought the Saiyan back over the years, that had probably never passed for the female, while the male lived them a bit! It wasn’t too obvious from his looks, of course, he was a Saiyan, they didn’t age as fast as Earthlings did.
Yet again, the two were faced with the fact that there was indeed something wrong within Tomo but as if she had completely disregarded reality and went off in her own world. The man didn’t know what was up with her but he stared at her silently without saying much the whole time. He thought that maybe she was trying to focus or anything, but she looked like she’d basically just put aside the whole sparring and decided to focus on something else instead.
It wasn’t certainly the most suitable thing for a fighter to get distracted, there were so many openings and it was someone else, they’d have probably landed a blow on Tomo so hard that she would have regretted it. But Cornatto waited for her to come at him, he wanted to give her time to muster up what she had lost— her finesse. It was something that she had lost long ago, Corn saw that when they sparred briefly on King Kai’s planet. She had lost her power, but her moves weren’t also as refined as they used to be back in the days.
Still, the man decided not to say a word and perhaps that was the best choice as the female suddenly snapped out of it and transformed into a Super Saiyan. The Saiyan male watched with awe as his mouth opened ever so slightly before he tightened his teeth together and smirked. “Not bad… I’ll come at you with everything I have got, Tomo!”
The Earthling Saiyan charged with his fist head-on at first, as he had aimed to hit Tomoroko right in the face with it and he did as his tough skin met with the Saiyan female’s and was a clean-hit too. Cornatto didn’t seem to react in either way to that, as he wasn’t having too many expectations but it was when Tomo turned her head towards him, which left Cornatto surprised to see such a sudden mood change and her fist easily struck the Saiyan in his face as the man’s head was forcefully turned to the side from her Super Saiyan fist’s force.
Before, his cheek tightly pressed against knuckles and the man looked at the fellow Saiyan in the eyes for a few moments before he cracked up with a smirk.
“Hehehe.”
Cornatto was glad to see that Tomoroko seemed to finally be on the right planet— she looked pretty much distracted that far and was sincerely scared at first for her, maybe she had trained too much and was having a breakdown. He wouldn’t be surprised. Corn had seen it happen before to a dear old friend of his, who had so desperately tried to achieve the Super Saiyan transformation that he had slowly turned out to lose all of his fighting spirits, and only Corn, in the end, managed to smack some sense into him.
The Turtle Hermit could only hope that the same wasn’t happening to Tomo, at the moment, but now… Did she just look quite lively? Their brawl continued as he had planned onwards, with hits that wouldn’t probably cause Tomo to be knocked out too easily but they still hurt because of how aggressive his stance was at the moment and left it to the Saiyan female to watch and remember the school’s signature moves. One of the first was the Flash Spirit, it was the most basic move of them all, so he was pretty much sure that Tomo could handle it. Not only to resist it, given that Cornatto’s form was stronger than hers, but also to learn it and give it a try herself. It was pretty much how he expected her to run through their training sessions; if she could still remember the school’s skills, they’d probably be over it in no time!
And, if they were lucky enough, perhaps Tomo could have managed to retrieve a huge chunk of her power in the process. That would have surely been beautiful, especially for Cornatto who longed for a spar either with his old friend or Tomo, too.
“Not too bad, Tomo! You are actually doing it! As expected of you, haha! But let’s see if you can handle this...—!”
The man slid in between the flurry and aimed to hit the black-haired girl with his elbow right into the face before he’d turn around his frame and try to kick the girl away. “Try to remember and do it on your own!”
"Heh" A light chuckle escaped her lips as she stuck her tongue out at the man playfully, winking at him before taking a single leap away from him. It did little however to alleviate the combat stressed as Cornatto just closed the gap on her once more and began to repeatedly strike at her. Even like this, it was all she could do just to block him. Repeatedly she would barely manage to catch a fist or bring up a knee to block a kick, an arm to block a punch. It was safe to say she'd be pretty blue once this was all said and done! She couldn't even manage to strike back at him, any attempt to do so turned into a block...
She had to find a way to create enough distance so that she could get off of the defensive and onto... *CRACK*. Tomoroko couldn't help but curse loudly on that one as Cornatto's elbow found it's mark, hitting her square in the nose. The crack came from the cartilage breaking under the impact, blood coming down her face as Cornatto moved into the familiar motions of the flash spirit. She tried to counter him once more, but the strike to her head was enough to send the saiyaness in a daze, and it wasn't until she found herself face first in the dirt was she finally able to catch her breath.
'Damn... this hurts like a bitch, but I didn't even feel this battered fighting Nasu...' [/font]She thought to herself as she pushed herself up to her hands and knees, her left hand coming up to wipe at the blood that had come streaming down her face. It hadn't stopped bleeding, but at least it interrupted it for a little bit. She finally pushed herself back up to her feet, and with a flare of her golden aura it would vanish from around her body, and just as quickly Tomoroko would spring back into action, speeding from her position towards Cornatto with a blue ball of energy held in her palm.
At first it looked like Tomoroko was going to launch a spirit cannon the closer she got to Cornatto, however as the gap started to get smaller and smaller, the blue orb would vanish and the saiyaness would swing her elbow towards Cornatto's face. Even if it missed, she would easily be able to follow up with the rest of the move.
The longer the battle lasted, the more comfortable Tomoroko quickly became with the Soy School once more. It had been so long since she needed to truly fight anyone... sure she had trained all these years with Natto but... honestly now that she was fighting Corn? She knew even Natto himself would have been rusty against him. Their training had gotten them far but... the Otherworld would only allow them to achieve so much power it seemed. Maybe she hadn't lost all of her strength after-all? Maybe she'd just gotten too rusty and just needed a few refresher courses on what it meant to actually fight like this.
'I haven't felt like this in so long... the pounding in my chest... I can almost hear the blood in my veins calling out for battle... it doesn't matter if I"m losing! Maybe... maybe my focus has just been all wrong?' She thought to herself, a smirk crossing her face once more mid swing, it was clear that, now that she was thinking straight, Tomo was actually enjoying this and having fun.
The more and more they fought and what the Earthling Saiyan had earlier assumed seemed not to be true any longer— Tomo was quite in the spirits appear, as she stuck her tongue out and winked at Corn, he was glad that she was finally into the flow of things! Now, Corn could not help but also smile himself in response to her attitude. It made him feel a lot lighter now that she was apparently enjoying it, either that or she loved to stick her tongue out! Cornatto felt a lot lighter in her sudden mood swing, from an unexpected paralyzed self, she had finally snapped out of that wall. Or so he hoped.
It wasn’t something enjoyable. The male could only feebly recall something similar that had happened to him once but it had been so many years ago, he didn’t think he was even that much tall when it happened to him. When he thought that he couldn’t do anything. But it was all senseless stuff! There was no reason for someone as strong as them not being able to make the difference, but although the Saiyan male’s own power was already leaps and bounds beyond what he used to be— it wasn’t enough for him!
Cornatto wanted to become much stronger. He didn’t exactly know why he didn’t have a purpose or he simply didn’t know about it. It wasn’t something that he could just explain but that’s how he felt like; his desire to grow stronger and burn his raw potential into potent battle power. For the moment, he aimed at the power of the Super Saiyan Three— something that Tomo had once achieved and that he aimed to now unlock and then surpass it and reach the Saiyan’s strongest evolution. Super Saiyan Blue. Only the mere thought of that form and Nasu’s power got him excited, he was so powerful that he couldn’t even believe it was possible at first until he had met both Lagerus and later Nasu once more, in Hell. Either way, the man was just equally excited. Tomoroko could probably push herself to the power of the Ascended Super Saiyan in no time and also find back her finesse. The more the two went on, the more she improved. Not to mention the fact that Corn too was finding it difficult to hold back like that— she was still a remarkable fighter, of course! Cornatto’s gratitude was probably not something that needed words, as their species usually released such thoughts and expressed themselves through their fists! They were still having quite a lit training despite their big power difference and while Corn wasn’t fighting some all-powerful monster, he had to say that Tomo too, could get his muscles working.
Of course, though, the martial artist couldn’t just be too easy on her either!
The man’s elbow connected to her face and possibly hurt like a bitch indeed— Cornatto had reached a level of strength that was way beyond her own and what she could take up, but he had to say that in the end that was how one could actually learn the martial arts! It was controversial but the martial arts were also violence and he hated to admit it, but Tomo would have likely felt sore later. But it was fine! He was sure she could handle it, then at best he didn’t mind lending her a hand if she needed.
Once the man’s elbow connected to the other Saiyan’s face, Cornatto turned around and kicked Tomoroko away and it was that powerful that Tomo just found herself with the face in the dirt. The Earthling Saiyan grimaced a little before he chuckled in a goofy manner and rubbed the back of his neck. “Whoops! Haha, are you okay over there?” - the man asked, inquiring about the female Saiyan’s health. He hoped that he didn’t hurt her way too hard.
But after a little while, Tomoroko pushed herself back up, causing the Saiyan to smirk as he prepared himself for the incoming blow. The Saiyan girl charged her energy into some sort of energy ball, a blue sphere of sorts as he simply watched with a blank gaze— he had just asked her to do the Flash Spirit, didn’t he? Soon enough, though, the Saiyaness switched her pattern and quickly aimed the elbow strike which struck Cornatto in the face and caused him to reel his head backward in a sore sensation of pain before he was kicked away as Tomoroko continued her assault on him.
Quickly, the Saiyan flew away but in a short time, the man recovered himself and halted his flight in mid-air before he simply lowered to the ground once more. The man lifted a fist up to his lips and rubbed it against his face a few times as he wiped off some debris that had flown over his face before he cracked a wide smirk.
“Amazing, Tomo! You are getting back into it… hehe! You will be back at full power in no time if you continue like this,” - said the man until he drew his arm back with his palm wide open. “I have to say that I was right! Training with another Saiyan— with you— is absolutely the best! Let’s keep it going!”
The Turtle Hermit poured his power into a sphere of energy above the palm of his hand, its bright, blue light touched his skin with a faint silvery tone.
“Right after the Flash Spirit! The Spirit Cannon! You pull your arm back like this and charge your ki in this sphere. And then you unleash all of its power!” - exclaimed the man as he expected her to do the same.
The man gave her some time to charge her own attack before he tightened his posture and launched his hand forward, unleashing a powerful, red energy cannon aimed towards Tomoroko and planned to clash with her own!
Her swing missed, but as Tomoroko soared by Cornatto she didn't look particularly miffed about it. She was grinning from ear to ear as she faced off against him, laughing lightly when he commented about how she was getting right back into it. She could definitely remember this feeling... she loved it, and missed it so much! She couldn't remember when it had gone away! Was it when Natto had vanished? Or maybe even before then? Honestly... she might have lost her passion for fighting like this after she had her kids... it didn't hold the same feeling of freedom as it once did. Now though, now that she was remembering that feeling? She felt far more free, far more like herself than she had in a very long time.
She had to admit she felt guilty even thinking that... thinking of how much she changed and sacrificed for her family. While she was still herself, a large part of her had been left behind to make sure she raised her children well, to make sure she kept her mate in line... because knowing Natto he'd never be around for the kids if he'd been aloud to just vanish and train every day.
"You have no idea... hahahaha I told Mar all I needed was another saiyan sparring partner! I haven't felt this hyped up in years!" She said cheerily as her ki flared up around her like an angry inferno, showing just how excited Tomoroko actually was for this fight! As Cornatto demonstrated the Spirit cannon, she would just smirk as she instinctively brought her hand to her side, instantly charging up a teal orb of energy just as Cornatto did to demonstrate the technique. It was coming back to her! She remembered the Spirit Cannon all too well! With little effort put into the technique, seeing as she knew full well how to use it, she would thruast her hand forward, launching the blast towards Cornatto.
The teal and Crimson blasts would collide with one anothe with a powerful hiss, sparks flying off of the two Spirit cannons as they struggled against one another for dominance. At first, it looked like Tomoroko might be able to put up a fair fight, but having been training for the last... well who knows how long, Tomoroko's muscles were failing her, and with Cornatto's over bearing strength he quickly began to win the beam struggle. It soon broke through Tomoroko's own Spirit Cannon and knocked into the Saiyaness with the rest of it's might. It would knock her clean off of her feet and push her back into the side of an already heavily damaged mountain.
Tomoroko would gasp out loudly as the realization of how much pain she was actually in hit her. She would slump down to the ground, shakily landing on her feet but then falling forward, face first into the dirt where she would stay. She was still conscious, but she really couldn't find the strength to push herself back up, or even roll herself over. She would just groan audibly, her tail giving the lightest of flicks to indicate that she was okay.
