Inside of the Demon Lord’s training chamber was the Demon Lord himself - Heizen standing in his demon armor. Armor was typically a construct made for protecting one from attacks - but in Heizen’s case it was actually the opposite. Heizen’s demon armor was specially made for him and his uncontrollable ki. The Demon Lord had shown a tremendous amount of pressure, but was incapable of containing or suppressing that energy properly. Heizen thus used the armor as a means of containing his energy - lowering it immensely so that he could properly train with his servants Delphi and Seid, forcing him to fight them with restrictions and get a better work out in. It also was a good way of increasing Heizen’s progress - as learning how to fight at such intensities without the use of his great power would allow him to fully maximize his combat abilities to the fullest.
Today he was training with Delphi alone. Seid was on an errand, and truthfully Heizen wanted to get to know the Heran hybrid. It was rare for him to see one of her kind - and the fact that she was mixed with Demon blood surely had an interesting story to it. “Not good enough, Delphi!” he shouted strongly as he caught the two punches from the Heran Demon hybrid with ease. “You’re not moving fast enough! You’re doubting your attack before you even make it!” he lectured her, a scowl on his face as disappointment crept in. The Red haired hybrid ‘s crimson eyes widened, her mouth opening up slightly before clamming up. Her eyes narrowing down to the floor as she seemed to be affected by his words.
“Yes my lord…,” she said softly as she focused her power again and raised her leg in an attempt to kick Heizen. Raising up his knee he locked her leg from rising fully for the quick. He then pushed her back, making her fall backwards to the floor. As he pinned her back against the ground - the Demon’s red eyes glowed with annoyance. “You need to try harder than this!” he shouted. “Your power isn’t enough to save you! If you can’t progress - you’ll find yourself as someone’s toy rather than fighting like a warrior. They will rip you apart without a second thought!
Now… show me what you’ve got…,” he said with a soft grunt as he released her and backed up a few paces - starting over. Standing there with his claws exposed and clutched close to his chest he readied himself for her next assault. With a growl she charged up her red ki and charged at him once more - a fire burning in her as she tried once again to defeat him. She launched a punch at his head which he once again found pathetic- leaning back as it hit nothing but dead air. She then powered up at the last second with her ki to roundhouse kick him as he bounced back. Blocking with his forearm the Demon was knocked back a few feet by the attack, stopping himself in mid air as he flew back before centering.
The control of her energy as she slipped from her normal base state into her strange hybrid power burst was impressive. He didn’t know they could do that. “Not bad,” he said with a chuckle as he stood up from the impact. “That’s exactly what I’m looking for! That kind of cleverness will surely prove useful on the battlefield. Enemies like the Saiyans for example are brutish despite their great strength. Their primitive minds leave them capable of only forming the most basic of strategies.
That’s the weakness us Demons must always strive to exploit!” he instructed toughly. She nodded, taking it in. His praising of her actions however left a strange gleam in her eye, slightly similar to a student pleased to have earned the praise of their master. It was a strange feeling to the Jackal Demon - being looked up to by someone. “Understood. I’ll keep that in mind,” she said softly with a nod, with no inflection still in her voice. She was definitely an odd creature.
“Bring on Seid now- I plan to have another spar with you both to see how far your training has come. Even with this armor inhibiting my power - I can’t promise you two will have a fun time,” he warned her, his tone rather harsh and strict with them both. “Of course my lord,” she said, though her inflection leaked a small bit of cheer into it at the thought of fighting him with Seid. They were certainly close. Seid had been protecting her it appeared for a few years as if she was his own child. To think after all these years Seid would prove to have a soft spot. In the end though - was the Jackal any different?
He supposed he had a similar relationship with Nyxosa- though he wouldn’t go so far as to pretend she was his child. She was more like a young sibling if anything. Someone to tease and mess around with but still protect when the time came. It was rare for Heizen to actually care about someone - and he did have some semblance of attachment to her. To see her slighted or acted against would bring him great rage for whoever dared to cross her.
Alas with the Shadow Demon making himself known - Heizen grinned, the point of his fangs showing as he gave his most devilish smile. “It’s about time you lot were ready. I feel like I’ve been waiting an hour over here!” he said, his claws once against drawn back against his chest for his Royal Demon Arts stance. They weren’t ready for the more intensive training programs yet - or he’d teach them how to hone in on their own abilities as well. So they didn’t make any stance - rather just powering up to their full powers. Delphi was a little stronger than Seid - which made the Demon fairly amused. After all his training he still couldn’t keep up with this girl. Her Hybrid blood made her strong. Heizen respected that - as long as she remained on his side.
Powering up as well - Heizen channeled his Demon Energy for a about a good third of his power. This put him power wise on par with Delphi alone. Seid being on her side would make this an interesting fight.
The two charged at him at once - synchronizing their movements as they both attempted to launch a barrage of jabs at him one after another side by side. Flying backward as the two pushed him back with every block - Heizen barely managed to block their combined assault as he had to restrict himself to one side per opponent and make up the difference with his reflexes and speed. Individually he could pick them apart - but when they fought in synchronization like this- they would pose a real threat to some of the Saiyans. This was his intention. Heizen chuckled. “Good! Good!” he cheered with excitement. Seeing an opportunity - Heizen launched a counter-attack as he launched a fist toward Seid - who blocked it and stumbled back a few paces. Delphi took advantage of this to try and flank Heizen’s side with a barrage of punches to his rib - but Heizen was able to block them all with a single arm.
With Seid coming back to re-engage - Heizen disappeared in an attempt to avoid Seid’s incoming barrage. The Jackal Demon was going to have to be very clever about this. Appearing behind Delphi now - Heizen fired a dark blue energy beam from his palm. His signature Hellzone Wave rushing across the distance to blast her backward with some sufficient energy. She was quick enough to dodge it with her speed however - a true sign of her progress. Scoffing to himself slightly annoyed - he realized this was going to be very difficult. “You two are quite the annoying team. Even with my power and skill I can’t seem to match up without sheer power alone. That’s good…,” he acknowledged.
“Let’s see how you handle this however! Twin Midnight!” he shouted as he infused all of his power into both palms of his hands - dark black colored orbs of energy shooting out with maximum overdrive toward his opponents. Infusing the power of Makai into those attacks - they rushed out with extra force to collide into Delphi and Seid each! “We won’t be beaten by you this time! Not while you’re holding this much back!” she shouted as she placed her hands behind her head. “Right! We’ve studied your technique and learned it for ourselves! Midnight…,” he began to chant while placing his hands behind his head in the same manner as Delphi. “BOMBER!” she shouted as suddenly Heizen’s two beams were each met with one of equal power. His two black beams were shot back each with an individual one of equal force. As Heizen tried to push the two beams back, the veins in his forehead showing from the strain as he honest to god tried to do it - he found that he could not. Instead the two met his force head on. Canceling each other out- Heizen was dumbfounded by the two’s teamwork as a big explosion of black energy roared out before fading into nothingness. A large smoke cloud erupted in the training room from the result of the enormous energy clash. While he was still reserving his power - for them to have come this far was impressive. “Perfect…,” he said, trailing off as a chuckle escaped his lips. “Heh.. You’ve surpassed even my expectations. Good work you two. But now it’s time for the next stage of your training. Though this armor restricts my power - I can still bring on plenty of energy to fight you both. Let’s see how you handle fighting a warrior above your level!” he shouted as dark blue energy swarmed to surround him.
His power level ascended to greater heights as he activated what he believed was about fifty percent of his total power (at least that he could access within these weights). The powers he had used to take care of Mortos. It boosted his power level nearly four times the previous level. “If you two are to become my Champions… you must unlock your inner potential. Otherwise you’ll never have a shot at fighting by my side…,” he warned. Their powers were not bad for lower Demons… but they could reach greater heights if they stopped slacking off. If they looked deep inside of themselves and pushed themselves to unlock their inner potential. As he himself had many times before.
But they were going to need some serious motivation in order to do so. Heizen grinned as he seemingly disappeared - appearing behind Delphi without warning and punching her with a cross punch that sent her flying into the hard wall. It was made of Katchin and ergo hard to break- even with all of his strength. Seid growled at the attack and charged the Demon fearlessly. “Nope.” Heizen said as he leapt over the charging Demon. As Seid stopped from his rather silly charge… he turned and flew in the air toward Heizen! “Finally learned flight, eh?” Heizen asked with an amused chuckle emanating as he hovered away from the approaching Demon. “Don’t expect me to wait for your training on everything!” the Shadow Demon shouted with a snarl.
Delphi, who had just recovered from the brutal punch got up. Extending her hands - the Heran shot out thin needle thread-like strands of energy to discreetly entrap the Demon. Recognizing the technique - Heizen chuckled with amusement. “Not going to be that easy I’m afraid,” he said as he dodged it with instinct alone by side-stepping out of its reach. It was there that Seid then tried to corner him with his signature move - the Darkness Smasher. Trying to ram himself into Heizen - the Jackal Demon simply turned to face him and let out a wave of fire from his mouth with a roar. Red flames reached out and burned the Demon immensely whilst pushing him back. In training with Vulpeca - Heizen had learned how to really channel the art of fire - and was abusing it maliciously against these two.
Neither of them had expected that - and because of it Seid screamed in agony as the flames overwhelmed him. They fueled him, and made him angry. “Gah!... It hurts… why… why did you do this, you fucking asshole!” he said with anger. He was clearly very upset about it. “...Because you’re pathetic,” he replied with a grin, his cold-hearted answer shocking the creature of Shadow. “Perhaps I would have been better off killing you after all…,” the Demon Lord said with a frown. Seid looked at him petrified. After all they had been through together, how could he say that to him? These were the thoughts Heizen assumed were going through his mind right now as the Jackal Demon paid no heed to his suffering. Quickly however did fear turn into anger, and anger into rage. And with that rage came power.
“... HOW DARE YOU!?” Seid replied with rage as his power level shot up, and his mass enlarging. The six foot demon was soon ten feet tall. Heizen almost assumed that this was his Makyo Star transformation… but it seemed Seid’s power was beyond even that now. The same tier of power as Heizen was using, albeit less refined. Heizen output more power than that when he first transformed, but he supposed everyone had their own potentials to live up to. Nonetheless this was a step up from the Shadow Demon’s previous form. “I will show you!” Seid cried as he charged at Heizen once more - launching an all out barrage intent on hitting him with one of his many punches and kicks wildly swung. Heizen of course dodged and weaved through them all finding his friend’s efforts futile. Shifting from side to side was all he needed to do with the right timing in order to avoid the incoming attacks.
Delphi on the ground looked in awe. How did Seid surpass her? She was supposed to be the stronger one… at least when the makyo star wasn’t around to act as his crutch. Gritting her teeth… the Heran-Demon hybrid was annoyed. “Don’t forget about me!” she shouted as she fired her signature energy wave toward him. The Heran Hex. It was a decently powerful blast, but it was nothing to him. Escaping Seid’s onslaught and appearing in front of the attack- Heizen clawed at it fiercely. Delphi gasped as Heizen dissipated it with nothing but the sheer force of his strike. It was then that she realized that she too was completely useless. She and Seid had always fought together, always advanced together. And now she was being left in the dust…
She didn’t want to be cast out again. Back into the Demon Realm without anywhere to call home. Anyone to call friend. “You’ll be back on the streets if you can’t advance,” he said telepathically, taunting the girl in her mind. “You spend so long trying to survive… you never let yourself enjoy the fight, enjoy the battle. And that’s why your energy is so out of control…,” Heizen said.
He was right. She wasn’t going to let this happen to her! Closing her eyes for a moment and letting it all in… she listened. Listened to the sound of Seid and Heizen’s instinctive thrashing back and forth as the two clashed blows. She had never listened to the sounds before.. The smell of their sweat as they fought with everything they had. Her heart began to beat faster, skipping a beat every few paces. Inhaling and Exhaling… Delphi could feel as her energy began to circulate and control. She gasped as she realized… her potential. “Oooooh!” she roared as her red energy begin to skyrocket too. Heizen grinned as he caught Seid’s next punch, turning his head to watch as the other unlocked the next stage of their power.
As Delphi’s power was overwhelming her… her hair and her eyes turned a darker shade of red. Heran blood mixed with Demon made for an interesting combination, the Jackal Demon noted. Her blue skin quickly turned green as she activated the Heran’s first stage of their power ups. Their true form. Not only was she now stronger… she was more willing to fight. The battle excited her. She craved the thrill like an addict. Heizen was sure that it was the first time he had ever seen the Hybrid smile. Before she had always been a serious, calm thing. And now here she was in all of her beauty, releasing her true self.
“HEIZEN!” she roared as she charged at him. Seid who noticed this also decided to take advantage and attacked the Demon he head on. With both of them attacking him now he was exactly where he was before. Both of them combined were able to give him lots of trouble. Were it not for the Demon’s better fighting talents. His finesse, his experience, his control - this would be impossible to surmount without taking off his weights or using all of his power at once.
Both of them had him boxed in with an endless barrage of punches and kicks. It was hard for him to get a shot in. “Don’t get cocky!” the Jackal Demon warned as he found an opening to punch Seid right in the nose hard. The Shadow Demon cried out in pain as he felt the immense force knock him back. “You’ll pay for that in blood!” Delphi cried out in response as she stretched out her hand. Heizen’s eyes widened as she summoned a sword from thin air. So this was her Demon Blade. Many Demons had a special Sword that they used for combative purposes to defeat foes. Delphi’s was apparently a silver longsword with a intricate hilt of bone-like texture...
Rushing at him- Delphi swung wildly with blade in hand. Keeping a tight grip on it with both hands as she swung many times with rage- Heizen chuckled. Dodging the incoming attacks with albeit increased difficulty due to the blade’s reach - the Demon was not fazed by the blade. Though he was impressed that she was able to summon her Demon sword for the first time in the middle of a fight. Heizen hadn’t even manifested his yet at that point. “Are you angry, Delphi?” the Demon Lord asked with that mischievous grin, the sides of his mouth curved as his red eyes glowed with excitement. He liked this side of her. It was so much more passionate, with so much fire in her.
“YES!” she shouted with gritted teeth as she swung at him again, this time drawing the faintest of blood as a scratch hit his face. Heizen widened his eyes as the Hybrid actually drew blood from him. He chuckled. He was amused. Seid meanwhile was on the ground cursing to himself. He flew up at Heizen as black ki surrounded his hand, forming dark energy to enhance his physical strike. “Eat this!” he shouted as he swung at the Demon with extra fervor. This time the strike actually hit home - as Heizen had been unable to see this attack coming even with his ki senses being on point. He had found himself entranced with Delphi’s assault that he didn’t even notice the lesser Demon. Knocked back a ways - Heizen growled as the attack stung a bit.
“Alright. You both advanced to the levels I expected. But don’t get carried away,” he warned with a snarl, as his dark blue aura surrounded him immensely. Powering up even further - Heizen unveiled the next tier of power he had unlocked while fighting the Super Saiyans on Planet Saiya- the now destroyed Saiyan homeworld. The true power of a Demon Lord - Heizen utilized the same level of power that would send even Mortos fleeing. Heizen smirked as he disappeared from sight. Now seemed like an appropriate time to showcase his new techniques. The story was rather simple…
1 Month Ago…
“Did you find it?” the Demon Lord asked as he stood over Seid. Red eyes glaring with serious intent. He had sent Seid out on a mission to locate the Book of Amon. The Book of Amon was a book containing Demon Lord Amon’s greatest techniques - and was considered lost and forgotten by many Demon Lords. The few who had heard of it mocked its existence, thinking it absolutely absurd. “Yes… I found the book. It was not easy to find…,” The Shadow Demon explained to him with a blank stare. “The book was stashed away in one of Morto’s vaults… as you theorized he had held onto it without even knowing what it was,” Seid explained matter of factly. “Perfect… it won’t be long until my power ascends. When I achieve the true power of a Demon Lord… then I can unlock its secrets…,” the Jackal Demon trailed off.. grinning to himself with amusement.
Amon had been a Demon Lord hundreds of years ago. Though he wasn’t the most powerful fighter among the Demon Clans during his time - they say he had the ability to control space itself. Amon created these techniques, though some claimed he was not the first to utilize these powers. A Red Demon who once took control of the entirety of Other World for a brief time was said to be the first, but none can verify the story. That Demon was supposedly erased from existence - with no witnesses to back up his feats and reality.
Amon’s reign did not last long for a Demon. He only lasted half a century in the circle, as Mortos slew him centuries prior for insulting his decorations at a Dinner part, as the former Demon Lord was so violent and radical. Amon had always been a trickster Demon, rather than a warrior of brute force. But the tricks that he used were said to be quite something. Mortos once said that Amon was one of his most annoying foes, as his reality-bending abilities made it hard for the Demon to land a blow.
“Now I have the tools I’ll need… these Saiyans won’t know what hit them…,” Heizen chuckled to himself. Chuckling turned into full-out laughter as his ambitions grew bare for all to soon fear.
Heizen chuckled. “So you unlocked your Demon Sword, Delphi… How about I show you mine?” the Demon Lord asked rhetorically, not really giving either of them a choice. “My Lord… don’t tell me that you…,” Seid said… as anger had turned into fear. If Heizen had summoned his Demon Sword… than that meant he had everything for the Chaos Demon Style.
Humming to himself as he stretched out his hand to his left side- Demonic energy gathered as his signature weapon manifested from nothing. The first step in the art of the Chaos Demon Style was to learn how to summon your Devil Sword. A Demon’s Devil Sword was important. It solidified their resolve to kill or maim. Heizen’s sword - they would come to realize- was a bit special however. By obtaining The Book of Amon - he learned how to summon Amon’s sword. Amon’s sword was Kurotatsu - the Black Dragon. It’s name was a misnomer however. For though the Dragon Demon whose soul it was forged from was indeed black - the blade itself was a red color. When Heizen swung it the blade glowed with a luminous light. With the ability to tear holes in Dimensions itself - Heizen felt it’s true power. Though he could not yet control it - eventually he would be able to perform wonders with the weapon!
Disappearing behind the two as the Jackal Demon seemingly materialized out of existence- Heizen cut them with a long wide horizontal slash - cutting deep into their flesh with the tiny glowing red blade. Unable to even see it coming as it dug itself in - they both screamed with pain as blood poured out of them. “Just imagine what I could have done at full force,” he warned them with a stern expression, before dematerializing the blade beneath their very eyes in the very same manner.
Delphi and Seid both looked at him in amazement. “How did you do that!” she demanded to him in a bid for answers. She was clearly still fairly worked up - despite the fact that they both know she could have been dead if the Demon Lord wished for it. “You...You finally learned the techniques of Amon… amazing…,” Seid mumbled to himself in amazement. Heizen couldn’t help but detect a hint of jealousy in the Shadow Demon’s tone.
He knew Seid wanted to someday take his place. But the Jackal Demon was just not going to let that happen. He’d surely let himself die before he let that happen. Seid excused himself for a room, while Delphi stayed behind. With that light green skin, and dark red eyes staring at him with a glare… Heizen couldn’t help but grin. “You impressed me most of all today, Delphi. It seems we’re finally getting to the real you…. I like it,” he said with a chuckle as he approached. “Glad you approve…,” she said with attitude, not holding back on the sarcasm. She was clearly bitter that she didn’t get her fix in. Lifting her up - Heizen slammed her against the wall (albeit with some reserved force).
The two stared at each other rather intensely as tension filled the air. Heizen chuckled with amusement: pressing his lips against hers as Heizen began a rather passionate kiss between the two. As he curled his tongue against hers, he could feel her gasping for a minute as she processed this sudden approach. Thankfully for him it wasn’t long until she leaned into it. Holding her up as the two kissed - Heizen and Delphi got their own extra workout in as they engaged in a bit of fun…
