Police sirens rang throughout downtown East City. The sky had darkened with the coming of night, and the only sources of light were the many glares from the windows of buildings with their lights still on and the lusters from the street lamps along the road. A few cars traveled down the normally crowded highways, and Things were usually quite peaceful, but the police had spotted a certain extraterrestrial in the city. It must be a threat, right? Well... Nope.
Arcel was a Kold Demon- a race feared throughout the cosmos for their immense power and authority throughout the universe. They were known to be merciless killers who purged and ended lives without second thought. But there was one lone Kold who opposed his own race. Arcel had fled to Earth to get away from the Empire. Get away from the atrocities they performed, and so much more. He had managed to get on good standings with two Saiyans- his race's mortal enemies. This was something he took pride in. He also became friends with a demon named Saki, and sparred against him awhile back. He still had a few bruises and bumps from their little quarrel, which took place a few hours ago. The Kold Demon had decided to work up the guts to head into a human city to see what would happen, and maybe get his hands on some food. The fruits and berries of the wild just barely satiated his appetite. But when he wandered in, the police force immediately took the Kold as a threat and started to pursue him and then do who knows what with him.
Yet it seemed like he had escaped the cops for now. He could still hear the sirens and see their blaring red and blue lights, but Arcel had managed to hide away in an alleyway. He could fly out right now, but he still had his objective of getting a bite to eat or something. He let out an annoyed sigh as he poked his head out from the alleyway and into the streets. He understood why he was always perceived as a threat with his race's reputation and all, but now it was really starting to get annoying. It was just " Oh look, an alien! It must be here to take over the planet! Let's attack it! " at this point. Did they even know how powerful Kold Demons were? Probably not, as the police had tried to take him on with those peashooters they called guns earlier.
Slipping back into the streets as he heard the fading blare of the police sirens trail off, Arcel hopped atop one of the street lamps to get a better look at his surroundings without giving himself away by flying. The Kold crossed his arms and sat down on the light fixture with a yawn. It was getting really late and he hadn't got a wink of sleep. But he didn't have a house or anything- just that little cove he stowed his space pod away in. Using his ability to sense ki, the Kold's eyes moved around before a power of interest came to his attention. It was a lot stronger than most of the humans, that was for sure. A fighter, perhaps? They seemed to be pretty close, too. Well, he had to just hope he wouldn't be attacked again now. His power was hindered by the weights he still donned, and didn't feel like transforming. It was an uncomfortable and usually painful process. Diplomacy was always his Plan A for things. He hopped off the street lamp, his weights denting the ground a little, probably making himself known if he hadn't already been detected. He could still hear the faint sound of the police's sirens, but that was none of his concern right now. WORD COUNT: 637

It seemed the moment he stepped into a scene, he was tired. But, this time, who could blame him? He had just gotten out of a little encounter with some old fairy tale villain and looted himself a couple of G's. Lucky for him, he looked pretty okay while doing it. His torso veiled in a white T-shirt. Over it, a brown leather jacket with sheep wool fur around the collar. His lower body covered by somewhat ripped jeans and a black belt with a gold buckle on it. Sneakers quite simple and canvas styled. On his back, a bag he'd lug around his shoulder. His lower lip pushed out somewhat and his expression tired and lifeless. He had seen some crap in his day, so the minute he heard a loud thump! noise, he hadn't quite jumped. Only, he raised his chin and tried to find the source. His brow raised in curiosity as well. Blue eyes scouting about before locking onto a mass og fold and blue. Talk about fancy costume, huh? Waving his hand excitedly, the Hybrid smiled in a friendly manner. This horned dude didn't seem all that scary or hostile judging by how his physical appearance was. Though, as Gouken zeroed in on him, he became more apparent.
"That's no costume," He commented. Chuckling lightly. "That's a Kold guy. Yo!"
Gouken exclaimed to him. His voice loud, but kept down at the same time. If that even made sense..anyway, he waved his arm in a greeting fashion. Aiming to obtain the Alien's attention. From appearance, Gouken hoped that he didn't project a very menacing or hostile appearance. He simply wanted to get his notice and hold a conversation with him. His body seemed to be free. Relaxed and lacking of tension or any motions that would hint to a incoming fight. His tail swishing about happily and at a light pace. "You're one of those guys, right? The kind that can turn small, then big, then bigger and then small again? I'd say Kold Demon, but the demon part seems like it'd be offensive, y'know? Erm..anyway, hey, what're you doing out here at this time a' day? Or, even on Earth? Obviously not trying to conquer it, 'cause, you'd probably be up in the sky destroying stuff. Right?" Gouken blabbed on and on. He was friendly, but gosh darn. Could he talk and ramble. "I'm probably bothering you already..heh.."

Arcel's blue eyes affixed onto the stranger, who was oddly friendly when greeting the Kold. " Hiya! " He'd respond back in a casual tone, still slightly surprised this man hadn't attacked him. So far that was how seventy-five percent of his encounters went. But he was always very happy whenever someone hadn't judged him based on his species. He'd listen to the stranger's ramble, putting hand on the back of his neck and responding again. " Yeah, that'd be me. But uh, thanks for not attacking me, I guess. " Yup, a species that could "turn small, then big, then bigger and then small again" was an accurate description. It was better than being known as the species which killed everything that moved.
" I mean, most people I've met instantly went and tried to attack me or assumed I was evil or something, since ninety-nine percent of Kold Demons seem to be that way. I mean, even the police went and thought I was bad. I was walking around, minding my own business, and boom. The cops are on my tail. It's just plain annoying at this point." Arcel spoke up again after his last comment. He was at first afraid he'd be judged for his species, but at this point it was just a bother. Most of the humans never posed a threat to the Kold Demon, since they were just so weak. He did eventually take note of the stranger's familiar monkey-esque tail. A saiyan? Being nice to him? Wow. That was a one in a million- the two races that were mortal enemies seemed to be getting along right here. The other two Saiyans he met were rather hostile at first, but the Kold managed to get on good terms with the two of them with enough effort.
But as for why he was here and not killing anyone, the Kold spoke with an open posture, letting his tail droop behind him. " Well yep, I don't have any intentions of hurting anyone. Actually, I fled here from the Kold Empire- I'm not the type to go around purging and blowing up planets... You can imagine how well that shtick went with them. I'd fight them if I could, but those guys are just waaaay too strong for me. Call it cowardly or whatever, but the Earth is loads better than the Kold Planet. " He spoke in his usual cheery tone, showing no signs of resentment, annoyance, or hostility, much like the Saiyan in front of him. If anything, the Kold seemed to be enjoying the company more than anything else. He was alone for his whole life, and finally had a few friends- like Saki. And it felt amazing.

Heh, Kold isn't cool." Gouken chuckled lightly at his comment, swiping his finger across his nose playfully. Shoving his hands into his pockets, thumbs poking out and a smile remaining along his features. Looking down and then to Arcel once more. His lips curved in a large, kid like grin all the while. Gouken's eyes traced his figure and person carefully. Noting every tiny detail. His right hand raised and rubbing his eye for a moment before he'd speak back. Arcel mentioned that his motto and way of life wasn't setting well with the rest of his people. Nodding, the hybrid chuckled lightly and in a soft tone. His right hand placed back to his pocket and his left hand raised to scratch his neck lightly. "Yeah, I'm sure. Geography taught me a few things on your culture. Super high class and all that, but you seem way more laidback then the types of Kolds I've heard of and read about. Y'know, not purging and buying, trading planets probably doesn't really soak in well with a culture that kinda thrives off if that business, right." His hand raised and twirled around in a circle. "Like, you're different. I like ya. Anyone who likes living and hanging around other people is my type of guy, haha!" Gouken pointed his finger, making a silly gun with his hand. "Uh, anyway, are you hungry? I know I am." He remarked on an off topic like manner. Looking off to the side before looking up from the corner of his eye, Gouken chuckled a little louder. "Wait, did you say cowardly?! You're kidding, I'd be scared to even try and talk back to one of those planet liberators. I'm barely strong enough to carry a big pillar. It's horrifying. Fighting a monster, capable of creating orbs of Ki and energy. Able to break worlds and take people away..I wouldn't be able to. I just wouldn't." He shook his head. "Hey, about that hungry comment, are ya? I figure runnin' from the red and blue's would get you pretty starved after the first five encounters, right?" The youngster pointed his thumb up, pointing to the direction of a fast food place just a few blocks back. His stance pulling up and straightening, hand raised back up and rubbing the back of his head.
"Just, uh, y'know, gotta figure out how we'll get you in the clear to eat. I doubt people would take lightly and not call the police on a golden alien in their Earth restaurant." He added. He was rambling again. It wasn't every day you met a nice Icejin. It was rare. Head tilted now, his smile faded for a moment. "And, if you don't mind, could ya educate me a little? Like, what's it like being on Earth, meet anyone. That stuff."

Arcel stifled a laugh in response to the Saiyan's pun. " Heh, Icy what you did there. But still, most of them are pretty cold blooded. " He punned back. Ice puns were pretty cool. Heh. His times with the Kold Empire were rough, but now that they were over, the Kold was comfortable enough to even joke about them- he was an open book most of the time. But the Saiyan was right about him being different from the rest. Arcel still was rather surprised a Saiyan of all things was showing him kindness, but he was a nice Kold Demon, so he didn't have much room to talk. But it seemed like the two of them were already on good terms- Arcel wasn't worried about having to fight. " Well that's good to hear. Y'know, Fighting gets pretty tiring after the first ten encounters. "
The saiyan commented on how he wouldn't be able to stand up to the emperors of the Kold Empire. He didn't blame him. They were a scary bunch, and it seemed like he was the only one who revolted. There might have been others, but he didn't know of anyone else who had the guts to say "no" to someone who can snap your neck like a twig. " Yeah, seems like fear is how they get most people to obey, unfortunately. But the consequences weren't so bad since they'd always slap me in a healing tank afterwards. Know what I mean? " " Well yeah, I've been thinking about trying to get something to eat around here- stuff in the wild just doesn't seem to cut it. But I've had a few... hurdles, as you can see. " He paused, thinking for a moment with his arms crossed. That was a problem. " I've considered some type of disguise, but there's my tail and armor to worry about. " He raised his tail up a little, gesturing to the extra limb. It would be hard to walk off, and it wasn't like he could just cut it off. Some kind of cloak could be useful for cover. But his tail would still stand out. There were the walking animals that seemed to make up twelve percent of the Earth's population, he could put on a disguise and hope to be mistaken for a native. But this wouldn't be easy. " Well, I've met people, sometimes got attacked, sometimes didn't. I actually did meet these two Saiyans earlier. Of course, Kold Demons and Saiyans being mortal enemies, I was attacked, but managed to talk my way out of it. There was also this creepy pink person that... flat out grew another head after one of the Saiyans punched it off." He shuddered at the memory of that... thing growing it's head back- Even the Saiyans were rattled by it. But now that he thought about the encounter, he had never gotten either of their names. Bummer. But he shook his head and continued on with a laid-back tone. " I also met this nice demon guy who I became friends with. We sparred a bit, then I eventually wandered here. It's been a few days since then. I've had a few other encounters with some humans who tried to attack me, like those police guys, but they don't seem to know when to quit. "
Power Level: 4,616 No Transformations in effect. Word Count: 491. Total Word Count: 1,431. "We can figure somethin' out. After all, a local should know the scene. And, from what I know? Earth has a pretty intense cosplaying scene." The youngster winked. His lips curving in a full smirk and eyes closing. His eyes forming a set of curved lines. Teeth shown in the corner of his mouth, though to be put short, he simply appeared to be smug and confident in knowing he could make Arcel fit in on the scene. For some reason, he just really liked the idea of helping an alien out on moving into Earth. It called to him, in a way. "And, you look like you're cosplaying. In a sense, anyway. Golden armor and stuff. Like, you could be a character off of a video game or somethin'. Or a manga, or whatever. Just gotta figure out how we'll make your tail stiff or explain why it's so organic. Everything else is allllll make up. Simple solutions! Haha! Wait..ah.." "Oh? Erm...gross." He commented. "A pink thing that can regen heads..no thanks. I'm sure you musta' been pretty freaked out by it, huh?" The hybrid cocked a brow and shoved his hands into his pockets. Pushing his mouth to the side and forming a bit of a face. "Anyway..did you say a demon? And you sparred? Why do I have a sinking feeling I know who you're talking about.." The male shook his head. Such a simple description could mean only one person. A man who was kinda annoying just form one encounter alone. A man, who sparred with people and deemed it a test if his foe was beneath him in raw strength. A man, who was kinda arrogant and telegraphed each and every move before striking like a baby and was sorta sad to watch in action! Too god damned bad Gouken didn't catch his name and only exchanged blows of the fist with one another, if such a phrase could be used to even describe that encounter! Darn you Mystery Demon Man! "You're talkin' about that ginger black guy, right? He's the only demon I've encountered and sparred with. The guy practically forced me, anyway. Talked about how he was testing me, and somehow? Vice versa. It was weird. I totally beat the brakes off of him with a super charged Ki attack. And I was pretty proud of that, y'know?" He said, quite confidently. Gouken looked toward Arcel and slapped himself on the forehead. "Oh, yeah. I'm Son Gouken. Nice to meet you." He introduced himself proudly and confidently. The Son clan descendant grinning from ear to ear and really projecting himself as one of the Go family tree members. His friendly face and demeanor may have been enough to tell whose blood he shard. That, and several physical features he boasted in common with his greater grandfathers.

Arcel tilted his head when Gouken brought up the idea of fibbing his way into it by making people think he was in a costume of some kind- cosplaying, he called it. Was that some kind of Earth tradition? He wouldn't question it. " Well, let's just hope that works. I'd rather not have to end up bolting again. " He turned his head upon hearing the sirens of the police grow a little louder. They just didn't know when to quit. What did they even want from him now? Earth was confusing. He barely understood the planet's culture. But the Kold sincerely wanted to just fit in. Still, there was the issue of his tail. Hm... Well, maybe he could just lie about that also? " Earth also has those two-legged animal people, right? I saw some of them with tails. So that could explain it, right?"
Back on the subject of that weird pink person, Arcel shuddered once again at the thought of it. It was like he and the two Saiyans were nothing more than freaking toys to it! He was just glad it flew off when it did. " Oh you have no idea. It was just... Eugh." The Kold couldn't put words to the thing he saw. What even was that pink person? She wasn't anything he knew of, that was for sure.
Gouken then seemed to be familiar with a certain demon the Kold had met. His description of him was spot on to the one demon Arcel met. His eyes widened a little as he responded. " Oh, you mean Saki? You know him too? He might be a little rough at first, but between you and me, he's actually really nice! " He'd respond, his voice lightening up near the end. The demon was the first to show some respect to him, but maybe pushed him a little too far in their spar. He still had some bruises on his forehead from that one sword strike he received to the skull. It still stung. The Kold demon could still hear the sirens from the police growing ever louder as he tapped his foot a little. Nope, he was not going to do all of this again. " We should get a move on pretty soon. Seems like the red and blue are coming for the sixth time. "

It's practically dressing up as some character or somethin' from, like, a comic book or some media. Pretty fun once ya have it down, too. Some are good, some are bad and some are just like..what? Really? C'mon." Gouken joked lightly. Scratching the back of his neck lightly, he noticed the incoming lights as well. Raising his eyebrow and lowering the other, the male pursed his lips for a moment. What was he to do? Now was the time to figure out how to rid Arcel of the cops who insisted on badgering him. Thinking, he then suddenly snapped his fingers. A clicking noise made as he did the gesture. He appeared to be pretty confident in what he was about to say. It seemed Arcel's issue was that the Earthlings saw him as a menace, dangerous. Maybe if they saw him with one of the inhabitants, they lighten up? Yeah, that must have been the ticket, for sure! Folding his arms, Gouken nodded.
"He's a nice guy, huh? Guess I stepped out on the wrong foot with 'em, then. Serves me right for judging a book by it's cover." He commented. "Don't sweat it, pal. We'll try the cosplaying idea if this plan does't work. Maybe, just maybe, those lugheads will ease up on ya if you're caught hanging out with me and you aren't doin' anythin' suspicious. Right? Just, act natural. If they shine lights on us, I'll wave 'em off. If they try me, I can just bash 'em, and I got a good feelin' you could too. Just,t ry and don't hurt 'em too bad. Somethin' about you screams, 'I got muscle but it's the hidden kind'." He smiled genuinely. Waving in effort to make a 'c'mon' gesture.

So he was dressing up like an alien? Ohhhhh. So instead of finding some disguise, he was "already in a costume!" Well, Arcel just hoped this would work. He was getting sick of running, so it seemed like this time he would either have to fool them or use some violence to drive them away. Maybe he could just scare them off with some fancy ki tricks. Yeah, that might work. He was still rather nervous about the whole scenario, since one slip up could mess it up. What if they asked him to take off his "costume?" What if they didn't buy it? No. He would cross that bridge when he got there.
Kold Demons seemed to be at least acknowledged of on Earth. A few people knew what Arcel was, but not everyone. But whatever the cops wanted with him, they saw him as some flying alien invader. He hadn't used any Ki on the cops, but they had probably seen him fly into that alleyway earlier. Geez, if the Kold Empire wasn't a thing, this would have been a whole lot easier. Saiyans and some demons could get away with looking like a human. But not Arcel. " Well, you take the wheel. 'Cause I only understand, what, nine percent of Earth? There's my whole being-able to fly thing to explain, since they possibly-maybe-kind-of saw me do it. Worse case-scenario I could try to scare them off with some fancy ki tricks. Or we could just bail." He spoke in a rather casual voice despite his uncertainty of the situation. He could hear the sirens getting louder. The spines on his tail stood on end, but the Kold Demon gained his composure. These humans... were not very strong. He could deal with them very easily if things came down to the wire. " Well, let's just hope they listen."

Waggling his index finger and then patting the Icejin's shoulder lightly. His ears seemed to prick and stand at the very sound of sirens. It didn't aid that the combination if crimson and azure were just around the corner of where he and the other individual stood. He'd hoped that the police would leave him and the Changeling to themselves for the moment. What was the worst that could possibly happen? Arcel would help someone across the street? What a terror. Chuckling at the thought, he quickly got serious. His lips remaining still and eyes focusing on the lights heading much, much closer. His hands shoved into his pockets. Gouken's head craned to the side, a look shot. An effort to at least try and reassure the visitor from the stars. "Just follow my lead and trust me, 'kay?" He instructed, and then requested. Turning a few degrees to the side, the youngster stepped so that he'd be parallel to the golden Kold.
"Officers," Gouken grunted abruptly as the lights were officially before him. More than a few lines of policemen and their partners in a large number of vehicles. It seemed they weren't really done looking for the newly found acquaintance. "Lovely night, i'nt it?" He added. Smiling lightly. "I hear you guys are looking for an alien, right? All over the news, I saw him go that way. Thing is, he's like a chameleon. Turned silver, my buddy back there is just dressing up as a bad guy from this anime we saw. So, um, be on the look out for a silver alien. Went north, helped an old guy across the street. Thing is, old man totally bashed him down with his cane so if I were you, I'd totally drop the chase." The young man spryly approached the officer nearest, a Head Detective. His torso leaned forward and arms against the opened window. Making a number of gestures and motions. He mentioned Arcel as a guy who dressed up. "That's my brother...Guy. Our mom ran outta names, you know how it is. Funny how the world works, am I right?" He attempted to joke. His efforts met with scattered chuckles. "Alright, so you folks have a good night."[/i][/b] He finished. Apparently successful and showing few signs of pressure. Though, he turned and made way for Arcel and stood beside him, he chewed his lip whilst his back was facing the law enforcers.
Lucky for him, his selective lies had gone in succession. Gouken wasn't wrong when he said people on Earth had a little culture of dressing up for occasions and whatnot. The police were just naïve enough to believe him when he described his 'brother' as a dressing up type of male. Initiating and sparking bouts of harmony and friendliness also seemed to aid him. That, and his innocent face. Lucky lucky him. Patting Arcel's shoulder, Gouken chuckled as the train of EPD licensed vehicles drove off. Their lights shut and leaving the night to he dim once more. "That was easier than I thought it'd be."

Arcel squinted his eyes as the lights from the police vehicles doused his skin and- wait, was that a helicopter with them? Wow, they really brought out the heavy artillery- not that it could do much against him, though. Most of the humans he had met weren't the sharpest tools in the shed- either they had just ignored him or attacked him out of what, fear? The reputation of the Kold Demons never failed to screw Arcel over. But for now the Kold Demon put his trust in Gouken. Just. Act. Natural. It wasn't like they could do much to the two of them anyway, right? Judging by the Saiyan's energy, while it wasn't near the Kold Demon's power, he was more than capable of taking down this entire squadron. This would all blow over soon, and they could get a bite to eat. With a renewed sense of confidence, Arcel folded his arms and leaned against the lamppost, his blue eyes adjusting to the light. " Hi. " He spoke quickly, raising a hand while trying to act as friendly and human as he could. The police had a few firearms raised, but the kold's saiyan companion went on with their little plan. Arcel had to hold back a laugh when Gouken mentioned their make-believe alien being destroyed by an equally made-up old guy. " Oh! Yeah! It's like some kind of shifter! It was changing colors and everything! It even looked like me for a second! What a coincidence! It was really freaky. There's this convention nearby that we're headed to. " But the ridiculous story had only just started! Gouken proceeded to lie once more- telling the officers that they were brothers??? He raised a brow for a moment, but hastily nodded. Were these guys actually stupid enough to believe this? Even crazier was the fake name Gouken gave to his "brother," which was just "Guy." Arcel held back laughs once more, but the police seemed to snicker at the comment. But now Arcel decided it was his turn to take the wheel. He charged up a miniscule ball of Ki in had hand and fired the sphere at a nearby dumpster, causing the giant box of trash to fall over. "Look! The alien! I saw it run down that alley! "
And with that, the police force left on hot pursuit of an alien that didn't exist. " ...That worked out, huh? " He'd spoke casually as soon as the cops left. "But oh my god that was ridiculous and freakin' amazing. " He's speak again with a laugh. While he was tense earlier, it all ended in the best way possible. Better just laugh it off now. The fact that their ludicrous story was accepted was hilarious in it's own right! " I can't believe they bought that! Are all humans like that or did we just get lucky?" We definitely hit a break, and you just got a well deserved one yourself. Now comes the easiest possible part. We run over and grab somethin' to chomp on 'cause coming up with story totally drained my stomach, Guy." He winked, using his 'brother's' name. Beginning to walk toward the northern direction. There must have been a food joint somewhere nearby. "Definitely hungry after all that noise." He laughed. Patting his tummy and looking over his shoulder. Pupils gazing onto the amused Kold Alien. He was kinda glad that he enjoyed his little flight of fancy back there.
