Yes... Hell was very boring indeed. The phrase "Hellish landscape" didn't manifest out of a human's imagination apparently as the description seemed to fit the planes of this dimension quite nicely. The ground was hard, cracked and rough stone (not that she could FEEL it), flames burning near and far, spontaneous and forever, jagged spires of... something shooting out of the earth over the horizon. Liari wondered what individual thing she's done had earned her a spot in this half-baked horror show as she floated about it's barren face. Was it all the absorbing she's did? Was it because she took Suusano's sister from him? Was it possibly because of that one time she stole some food from that kid back on earth? She couldn't think that ANYTHING she'd done deserved her a place in this riveting environment!
But then... She wasn't the judge. With the exception of the occasional plumes of fire, The little cloud that was once Liari was left in a quiet, boring VOID of a place, the occasional monster stomping around every once in a while. Those were the most interesting ones, those guys... Much like the ones channeling the souls back outside the check-in station, these guys were horned men of various skin-tones from what she could tell from a distance, but their bodies were FAR larger, JACKED beyond believe. they had short-ish legs and long-ish arms giving them a kind of ape-like appearance and, as previously observed, most of them dragged spiked metal clubs behind them wherever they went...
She had watched from a distance as a pair beat down on a poor rouge soul, laughing and cracking jokes at the creature's misfortune as was their right as their jailers. They had the authority and they exercised it brazenly, knowing fully well they were in control. This sort of thing happened often as Liari was quite excited to find... at first. It was actually kinda entertaining to see them work on some unfortunate maggot but eventually that too became boring.... They ran out of interesting things to say or the soul would lose any kind of bravado they had swiftly. The fun was just... gone after a while and she was right back to where she started...
Was this what they meant by eternal torture...? Leave her to stew until her mind devoured itself? These people were just too cruel...
"Kame... Hame... Ha!!!" he roared as he fired the blue colored energy wave in a straight line. Before long, Galen moved his hands up and the Kamehameha changed its course, going up, and immediately afterward, the human did it again, sending it back down so it would hit a small stone on top of a larger stone, destroying first the small one and only then the big one. Once he did that he was panting. When looking around the area, plenty of similar craters could be seen all over the place, showing that he had been doing that for quite sometime for the day. He was all covered in sweat, no longer using his old clothes or his bandanna, his hair had grow a little bit and he was looking a bit sharper, even though you don't really age while dead.
Near him, Master Mutaito was carefully watching until he smiled and nodded. "Very good! You finally mastered the bending kamehameha! This shows just how much you can control your ki right now. With that, there's only one technique left for me to teach you and we will be done with this training!" he said with a satisfied tone in his voice. Galen sit down on the grass, still panting and also smiled, happy with the result. "I'm glad, Master. This one was rather tricky! Took me forever to learn it! Hahaha!" he said in a carefree tone, to which Mutaito chuckled, shaking his head. "Boy, you mastered this one in only fifteen days. It took me years to be able to control it like that. You are a quite accomplished human, kid. The most accomplished and talented I've ever met, and this is quite a compliment coming from the guy who trained the first Turtle Hermit himself." he said and Galen nodded; thanks to Mutaito he wasn't depressed about his condition as a human anymore. Galen learned that even though he wasn't a saiyan, there was still plenty he could do to help protect not only the Earth, but also the universe.
The two took their time and rested and, on the following day, Mutaito woke him up rather early. Galen opened his eyes, grabbed his gear and stared at his teacher. "Is it time?" his tone was less carefree, almost serious, and Mutaito nodded. "You are ready, you know what to do. It will be a challenge, but if you are to become the Guardian, not only you need to master that technique, but also know the other side of the coin. You need to go to Hell, Galen." and with those words being said, Galen's eyes watered a bit and he bowed to Mutaito. "Thank you so much for all these lessons, Master. I will never forget you!" and with that they bid farewell to one another and Galen hopped down from the high realms of heaven, straight through the golden clouds of the snake way, descending all the way down to the place where those whose lives were filled with wrong doings were condemned to stay until they were ready to be cleansed.
As he landed there, though, he immediately caught the attention of every being there, ogres or souls. He was dead, but he had a body, and his aura wasn't bad at all, but completely good and righteous. One of the ogres stared at him with curiosity in his eyes. "Uhn... Did you fall down from the snake way?" he asked and Galen, with a polite smile, shook his head. "No sir. I came here by my own volition. I came to get to know what Hell is like." and his answer was so amusing that the ogre's jaw dropped, unable to believe his own ears. "A... Are you crazy, boy?" he asked in disbelief, but Galen kept the confident and polite smile on his face as he shook his head.
As Liari floated absently, through the plains of hell, actually almost accidentally floating far too close to one of the ogre-kind milling about, same as her. Luckily, his big, lumbering form wasn't hard to miss and caught her attention before she caught his. Acting fast, the majin-spirit quickly floated behind an outcropping of stone, peeking out ever so slightly as she waited for the ogre to pass. It was only after a couple of moments did Liari contemplate WHY she was hiding here in the first place, like there was some kind of important destination between the creature and her. This place was as endless as it was empty and she hadn't been taking any time to map it so why was she even here...? She might as well just turn around and float somewhere else...
Before she could, however, new movement caught her attention, this time someone from above. Her gaze shot skyward as someone new burst out of the cloud ceiling under which Hell resides, a being that WASN'T an ogre for once! Liari stared in shock as this being appeared to actually be a human with a sword strapped to his back, floating his way down her casually as if he WANTED to be here! Where did he come from...? The check-in station? She remembered all the clouds that washed along it's sides and the snake-like bridge thing that protruded from the side... That place was INFINITELY better than this one so WHY did he want to come down here of all places?
She would've approached him to ask just that but the man landed far too close to the oni for her taste, instead opting to stay hidden behind the rock meters behind, waiting to see their interaction go down. If he could get rid of that beast then maybe she'd come over to say hello, but the way things were, she wouldn't budge... The Oni seemed just as shocked as she was, asking if he INSANE after he admitted to coming her intentionally.
She couldn't believe she was saying this, but she completely agreed with the beast... WHAT KIND OF PERSON IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD EVER COME TO A PLACE AS INFAMOUS AS HELL WILLINGLY??? Apparently this guy... and she felt bad for him. He had no idea the maddening boredom and emptiness that awaited him in this drab plane of existence. He couldn't sense him because she lacked a body and because of this... she was afraid that this oni might turn violent and attack him... She had no idea how to gauge his strength, let alone the massive demon-creature!
"What should I do...?" Liari whispered, glancing between the two conversating bodies. "I can't fight... I can't sense energy... I can barely move on my own... I HAVE to do something though... I can't just let this monster hurt him..."
The Ogre was quite confused, but the boy seemed to be quite confident. The creature scratched the top of his head, near his horn before speaking again. "Well... I guess I will leave you be then... But I can't guarantee your safety down here. My job is to look after the souls condemned to this place and stuff..." he warned Galen, but the boy just chuckled. "Don't worry about me, Mister Ogre. I can take care of myself. I have been trained by many strong people like King Kai." he casually revealed, but such revelation was enough to completely shock the Ogre. "K-king Kai?! S-so you were a hero when you were alive! I... I guess I don't really need to worry about you, boy... But I warn you again, the King of this place is a dangerous man. Even a strong hero like you may find himself in trouble should you face him." the Ogre said with a very concerned tone in his voice. Galen's smile faded away and concern and a slight bit of anger surfaced on his looks. "The King of this place?" he asked, already suspecting he knew who he was talking about and the confirmation came when the Ogre said the name "Caesar" before walking away.
"Caesar... I see... If I were to face him again the result would be the same and this time he would be able to destroy my soul. But... If I master that technique, then I have a chance of ridding this world of his evil for once and for all." he said to himself, alien to the fact that there was a soul watching him from the distance; since they were still in their cloud forms, they had no ki to be sensed. "This place should be good enough for me to train that technique. And I can always release the souls once I'm successful. I just need to be careful not to overdo it, or I may get into some real trouble." he thought to himself, touching his chin and completely distracted from whatever was going on around him.
(Came to a consensus so this takes place AFTER Liari gets her body back. Sorry for the mixup)
The little blue majin hid behind the rock with her power suppressed down to it's absolute minimum, trying not to attract the attention of neither the ogre OR this mysterious newcomer from above. The demon-thing didn't seem overtly hostile to the man, apparently because he recognized him as someone unfit to belong here. As he explained it, his job was to "look after" the souls sent down here. Liari smiled cruelly as she heard that, suppressing a laugh as her eyes flashed a dangerous red. HA! That's a laugh! She saw what his kind did to the souls they "looked after" how some didn't even survive or reform under their "protection". She also knew that they were the damned jailers of this place that drug the wandering souls... somewhere for processing! The things she's seen down in this accursed place... Once the two of them parted ways, she was no doubt going to inflict her own vengeance upon this lying ogre, let him suffer as the souls he and his kind dominate had suffered. Hell was for the damned, correct? She'd hate for them NOT to be included.
Her building anger was interrupted, however as the boy mentioned that he'd been trained by some "King-Kai", inducing much surprise in the demonic torturer, immediately assuming he was a hero.
"...King Kai..." Liari mumbled softly, tapping her chin as she dug through her absorbee's memories to see if she knew anything. If the demons down here knew about him than surely she must've heard about this guy by now... Nope. She knew nothing. No memories or even legends to tap into... Maybe it was something only known in the up-above-place? Before the Ogre went on his merry way, he mentioned one last thing: There was a king here that would mess this newcomer up if he came across him.
"Caeser...?" She mumbled some more, finding no information on him either. In fact, this was the first time she's even heard that name uttered... What did this mean? It meant the universe was a LOT bigger than she thought it was... She just assumed that huge ogre at the desk ran this place but apparently there was a creature here that made this hero look like a chump! It was both exciting... and scary... The Majin made a mental note of what direction the ogre had went, making sure he was out of sight before she stepped out from behind her stone, her eyes long since reverted back to their cooler silver color.
"Hiya!" She greeted with a casual wave, her other hand resting on her hip. "So you're from up there, huh? Welcome to Hell then! My name is Liari!" The majin held out her hand for the boy to take, a look of pure innocence on her face. After all, this man was at least twice her power normally. She didn't want to provoke him... not down here. "It's kinda weird you'd come down to a place of torture on your own! You must be really brave!"
Out of the blue someone greeted Galen and he was surprised by that; he was trying to search for energy signatures after all and to be unable to sense someone capable enough to retain their bodies even though they were in hell was quite an impressive feat indeed. It was foreseeable, though, considering the pedigree of the warriors they had in this generation and in all previous generations. The most impressive thing about the afterlife was that it wasn't restricted by the brief span of time the living creatures were allowed to walk in the plane of the living; the other world was the place where the souls of the dead would linger - some for a short time, others for a very long time, maybe even eternity - until some of them would ultimately reincarnate.
The person who greeted him was a Majin with not a shred of doubt. The color and texture of her skin and the tentacles that composed her "hair" were enough of a clue and, despite being very different, Galen couldn't help but to remember the Majin he met back on Korin's Holy Grounds, the pink girl named Saeko. "Wonder whatever happened to that curious girl." he wondered before focusing back his attention on the being in front of him. The blue Majin woman had her hands on the hips, showing a quite relaxed yet mildly imposing body language. She remarked the fact that Galen was from the upper realms, showing she was at least aware of his conversation with the Ogre from before. "So she was hearing." he took a mental note without giving any sign of that; Galen simply nodded when she suggested where he was from and after that she introduced herself, giving him her hand in a friendly gesture.
The human cracked a gentle smile on his face and returned the gesture, shaking her hand gently yet firmly. "I'm Galen. Nice to meet you Liari." he simply said and then she proceed to say he was quite brave to be down there and he just shook his head, chuckling lightly. "It's not a matter of bravery. It's but a matter of duty." he hinted. "But if you don't mind me snooping, you seem to be rather nice at first look. Why are you in hell?" he was quite straightforward, but his tone carried no judgment in it, just plain old curiosity.
"Likewise!" She snickered, shaking the man's hand. "It's nice to meet you too, Galen!" She looked at him strangely as he mentioned not to mind him snooping, wondering what exactly he thought was down here that was worth hiding. If the surrounding area was any indication, the only things down here were dust, barren wastelands and the occasional ogre or soul if you were lucky. Finding living people in this place was a RARITY! The boy seemed to dismiss her remark about him being brave to come here, remarking that it was instead a matter of duty. The little blue majin tilted her head to the side, perplexed as to WHAT kind of superior would order his subordinate "go to hell" literally. Better question: Why did Galen take the order literally...? Majin kind had a stereotype of having sub-par intelligence but after listening to that vague description of why he was here, one would indeed begin to wonder...
She couldn't help but blush though as he referred to her as "looking nice" at first glance. AH! COMPLIMENTS! THE ONE SUREFIRE WAY TO GET ON HER GOOD SIDE! The Majin's already blue skin faded a dark purple along her cheeks and nose as she squirmed in her spot, trying to cope with the sudden praise. Secretly, she thought she looked GREAT after she took Kuuyomi into herself. The additions to her body gave her a much more... "mature" and "Normal" appearance, extending her tentacles into a more attractive hair-like shape, giving her a more robust form in certain places. She knew she looked GREAT now... But it was nice to be noticed anyway. He probed a little, questioning someone as good looking as she would be doing in a place like hell.
"...I made a couple mistakes and people got hurt." She answered vaguely, her bashful smile wilting a little. She wouldn't go any more in depth, not to someone she just met and especially from someone from the above worlds who couldn't understand those mistakes. Especially a human (sayain...?) like him. They wouldn't understand Absorption. She approached the man a little more, walking around him and running her silver eyes all over his body as she peered at him from a whole host of different angles. He dressed like such a bad-boy but was so well-mannered... He was a weird one, wasn't he...? That jacket and pants, mixed with that decidedly serious default expression combined with such a nice greeting and compliments? He was a very interesting guy indeed!
"...A matter of duty, huh?" Liari questioned, turning the tide of inquiries back on him. She leaned in a little, resting against his back comfortably. She looked at him while her chin rested softly on his shoulder. "What devotion you must have to come to the land of the damned..."
The Majin was quite interesting, he thought and the way she behaved was somewhat in between innocent, curious and flirtatious. She was vague as to the reason she was in Hell, but she mentioned hurting people. Galen wasn't one to judge, but one to understand and he just nodded his head; he knew it was away to early to get her to open up and confess the wrongdoings of her life, but maybe in due time she would feel confident enough to share. "Everybody make mistakes, Liari. Some of them are more serious than others, thus having more liability to the person, while others come from a lack in the duty of care, negligence, as some would say." he tried to be casual enough so she wouldn't feel judge in any regard. He wanted her to see him as comprehensive and empathetic as he was.
When she leaned against him though, he felt a bit embarrassed and blushed lightly, but he did his best to kept his composure despite the shock that ran through his spine and short flight of butterflies in his stomach. His up bring was quite rigid in that regard and he didn't grow to overcome it even in his adulthood. She straightforwardly asked what duty brought him down to the home of the condemned souls and he didn't really hesitate to answer. Without turning around, he spoke. "I'm training to become the next Guardian of Earth and as such, it's my duty to watch over everybody, no matter what they do, no matter what their beliefs are. I'm not one to judge, but one to guide and care. And how can one expect to be able to guide and care with substance without knowing the other side of the coin? From the comfort of heaven, one's insight is but foggy." he explained.
The majin quietly shrugged as the man remarked how everyone made mistakes, muttering something else she didn't get about liability or something. The Little blue majin had been down here long enough to come to terms with her actions, knowing that YES, what she did was wrong despite the fact there was nothing but benefits for everyone involved and NO, she probably shouldn't feel guilty about it anymore. He was the second person to tell her to get over herself and it was getting old. Really fast.
The Majin giggled lightly as she sensed the man's tenseness at her touch, his body seeming to freeze and tighten up as she pressed herself against his back casually. What? She was just being friendly! She saw plenty of people do stuff like this and more back when she was on earth! Poor guy might've been sheltered or something, keeping him from understanding what this meant. Her question as to what he was doing here was answered, stating that he was training to be the new guardian of earth! Her silver eyes widened in surprise as she looked the man over again, more curious than ever.
Wow... When she first arrived in hell, she didn't expect she'd be talking to a new god of earth! She'd met the old one WAY back when she was a mere shadow of what she was now, only able to throw a few punches before being cast away to be stronger. Now there was a new candidate literally in her arms and she didn't even know it up until now! Had she known this before, she might've shown a tad more respect but since she was where she was with this knowledge being dropped just now, she saw no reason to move. After all, he seemed to be liking it.
"Wow. That's cool!" She exclaimed, a wide smile on her lips. "I met the old one, you know! I wanted to train with him but he threw me off the look-out, saying I wasn't strong enough." A gross generalization to be sure, but not an inaccurate one. If Galen listened closely, he might've been able to detect a slight edge in her tone. While she was all smiles when she was sent away, the little blue majin harbored a tiny ball of resentment in her heart, one that'd grown somewhat since her time in hell.
If only he had trained me... She had thought during those days as a spirit. I wouldn't have died if he'd trained me! T'was a callow thing to think, that her death was the fault of a man just trying to do his duty but she couldn't help it. It was the kind of girl she was. Cross her and she doesn't forgive easily.
"You're also really strong! Stronger than me!" Liari noted, changing the topic. "Hey... think we could fight a little bit? It'd be fun!"
Galen blinked twice when she mentioned that the previous Kami had kicked her out of the Timeless Lookout, but in all honesty he could definitely see that happening and sighed. "Eehhh... Master Jie could be rather rough at times, but he has a good heart. Though, honestly I don't really know what happened to him after the fight with Caesar. Maybe he felt the burden was too heavy upon his shoulders." he wondered to be quite frank, but decided it was not really upon him to find out or even understand his motivations, as it would be - in a sense - a sort of judgment. "But don't hold a grudge against him, please. Even though throwing you out may have been extreme, Master Jie's style was really brutal and honestly... I don't even know if I could really endure his training at my current level. The last time I sparred with him I nearly died if it wasn't for my senzu bean." he admitted, chuckling lightly as he remembered the fearsome battle at Jie's estate in the North. It was worth noticing that Galen was quite insightful to have noticed her emotions through her tone.
But then the Majin changed the topic quite a lot as she pointed out that Galen was strong, making him chuckle again. Shortly after that she asked him to spar against her and he turned around to stare back at her again. "Well... We could do that alright. I'm not the strongest, but I've been training really hard lately and I've learned some interesting techniques. So, if you want a friendly spar, I can definitely accept it. Your kind is quite resilient so I won't need to really hold back a lot." he said in a contained but still excited tone as he stepped away from her so they could have some space before the fight begun.
Galen thought for a moment, but decided he would start by holding back a little and thus he slid into the Turtle School stance, which wasn't perfected yet. His sword was still in the sheathe and he decided that no matter what, he wouldn't rely on the Kikoukenjutsu Sword School, though he might consider using some techniques of the Mutaito style should she prove herself an interesting match. "Whenever you are ready, Miss Liari!" he announced, being kind enough to grant her the initiative.
Hear that it was just Jie's way to be a complete stubborn jerk and not train anyone didn't exactly help the majin feel any better about him. He obviously didn't think much of the people who sought him out if he kept turning them away for fear of their death. It just seemed so lazy to her... If he just took someone under his wing and trained them to be as strong as himself then maybe they might have more protectors to make his job as guardian easier, wouldn't they...? Bah, whatever. She didn't need him... Look at how far she's grown without his stupid training? She's ten times stronger than she was when she first asked! Yeah... Nobody needed him...
When she asked for a fight, the man chuckled, remarking that her kind was quite resilient, a statement that caught her attention. He just implied he knew something about her kind... How many had he actually met? Fought? Knew personally? Liari had been almost completely cut off from them... She only knew of three including herself and they were FAR beyond her reach now. She'd have to ask him after she was done beating him up. Galen moved away, putting some space between them, slipping into some strange stance she didn't recognize. Oh well... All martial artists seemed to do that for some reason. The little blue majin's aura flared up around her, sending wave after wave of dust washing over her opponent's feet.
Ms. Liari.... Her cheeks flared up HEAVILY at that. Nobody EVER had given her that title before, one of respect and, from what she's seen, given to people with quite a beautiful appearance... Maybe she was just making connections that didn't belong together but hey... It was better to be flattered than not. Apparently, she was being given the first move... Smart... He could see what she was all about before she could him... That would give him the element of surprise. Bah... whatever... She could take ANYTHING he could throw at her!
Liari would throw her arms out at Galen, her limbs stretching out like gummy snakes, her hands curled up into firm fists aimed at his chest! OFFENSIVE PL: 734,363 DEFENSIVE PL: 1,153,999 Melee attack: 36,718 STAM: 3/3
Galen was quite surprised with the amount of power Liari had at her disposal when she revealed the full extent of her capabilities by flaring her ki aura. To think that she could show such promise was something worth praising and his smile widened. "Wow! That's quite a lot power you have there! I'm truthfully impressed, Liari!" he said in an honest tone. Still, by the way her stance looked, she was either skilled in street fighting or not trained at all which gave Galen quite the advantage, especially in light of how many different styles he had trained. The Majin didn't waste much time once he invited her to start the sparring session and using the flexibility of her body, she threw a stretching arm punch aimed right at his chest.
Luckily Galen was familiar with Majins not only because both Majin and Earthlings were Earth-based races, but he had met Majins before and had the opportunity to interact with them so he knew they were capable of feats akin to the namekians he was also familiar with. When her arm came straight at him he didn't even move his body. Instead, he just adjusted his stance and using his left hand, he grabbed her fist, holding it tightly. Just as he had suspected, she wasn't an experience fighter and despite having so much power at her disposal, she couldn't use most of it without tiring herself, which meant that if they kept to melee exchange of blows, Galen wouldn't even need to increase his power in order to overwhelm her in both power, speed and skill.
As he grabbed her hand tightly, he would use her body against herself and pull her arm so he could project himself towards her at an impressive speed. Switching his clenched right fist to a stretched yet rigid finger position, he would attempt to close into his own melee range and strike her neck with the tip of his fingers using another martial arts style, so he could pack more power and technique behind it, aiming to taker her breath away; while this attack targeted at the throat could be fatal against a human or a saiyan, he knew Majin biology all too well to know that, unlike most races - even namekians - they were incredibly resilient and had no weaknesses such as weak body spots or organs to be targeted.
But they still breathed.
Galen's Stamina 4/4 Blocking the incoming fist PL 55,709 -> Block succesful Countering with Mutaito Style -> Melee PL 44,567
Liari's punch was stopped pretty handily by the man, his palm catching her fist and his fingers closing around it, keeping her from even pulling her hand back. Well... uh... this was awkward. What was she going to do now? the Majin growled in frustration, vainly trying to tug her hand back with less than stellar success. UGH! What was his grip, pure metal!? It must've been because she couldn't even worm her elastic hand free! Holding her hostage didn't seem to be his plan, however, as he let go of her fist, allowing her arm to retract but as he did, he grabbed onto her arm, closing in on her with it at an alarming rate! Oh... Wow... she didn't expect that at all... She smirked, amused that he'd use her to get in close. She didn't do a thing as he thrust his hand out her way, fingers stretched outward as if to form a blade that sunk RIGHT into her soft, squishy blue throat... The majin looked at him dead on, not at all threatened by his attack. Sure, it was kinda uncomfortable with his fingers literally sinking into her throat but those holes along her arms...? Those weren't just for blowing out steam. With her arm fully retracted, she reached out with her free hand, grabbing the man's wrist firmly, pulling it out of her neck with her silver eyes locked squarely onto his, letting him know just how little effect her had done.
Suddenly, the majin would cock back her fist before throwing in a vicious hook at his cheek, smashing his face with immense strength, strong enough to shake the area around them! She'd then throw another one with her other hand, this one sending the man face down in the red dirt below if it hit. Should he fall, Liari would walk over to him, brutally kicking him on his back before flopping down on top of him, straddling him before slamming her fists into his face in rapid fashion! The earth would crack under his head as the fists kept coming, smashing him more and more and more until her arms actually started to get tired!
After a couple minutes of just pounding the man into the ground, Liari would hop off him, quite proud of her work, laughing quite loudly. OH that felt good... Pounding someone down into the ground like that...? She needed to do it more often...
Galen's strategy was almost flawless. He managed to use Liari's stretching arm as a slingshot and propel himself at an incredible speed towards her and successfully hit her neck with the tips of his fingers with quite a lot of power. However, the soft tissue in which her body was made of was quite effective in absorbing the impact and it was clear from her expression that the attack barely even bothered her. Galen widened his eyes, quite impressed on just how resistant the Majin was. "Maybe I have misjudged her power based on her previous attack. I may be able to hold my own without transforming, but we will reach a stalemate and no one will emerge victorious. Not that victory is all that matter, but I don't intend on sparring for a very long time, to be honest..." he thought to himself in the brief moment that followed that impact.
But the human would be propelled to act rather quickly after his attack, because Liari wasn't willing to stay still for long. As he noticed the surprisingly fast punch approaching a single drop of cold sweat ran down his right temple as he unleashed all the power of his crimson ki aura. His ki energy rose exponentially and so did his physical capabilities and reflex, using the basic of his human potential as well as the initial level of the technique he had learned during his time training with King Kai. "Kaioken!" he shouted as the fist was close enough to connect.
[Last Resort Kaioken. PL 1,114,175]
Galen quickly moved himself with a surprising speed, much superior to how fast he was moving before and he completely avoided not only the hook to the cheek, but every other single attack Liari threw at him, almost as if he had the power of foresight. Once she finished trying to hit him, he would quickly seize this momentum to try and strike her with a simple ki blast as he leaped backwards, once again putting some distance in between them. The crimson aura was burning bright and fierce around his body as he slid back into his turtle school fighting stance, wondering how the Majin would react to his new power.
Galen's Stamina 4/4 Dodge PL 445,670 Ki Blast PL 222,835
Liari blinked as Galen suddenly exploded with red energy, her punch that was so close to striking him suddenly going wide as he ducked out of the way. The man shouted something the little blue majin couldn't quite catch, struggling to keep up with his speed as he dashed away, avoiding the rest of her attack. What...? What kind of transformation was that...? She'd never seen someone with that kind of energy before, let alone one so... opaque. Most other auras were easy to peer through, spotting the person among their own energy but with this... It looked as if he had turned red along with his Ki! On the side, though... What did he call it?
"Kaio wha-?" She asked, tilting her head in confusion before Galen's blast struck her dead on, throwing the poor majin back with a massive hole in her chest for her troubles! Liari slammed hard into the hellish soil, sliding back into it as she just stared blankly up at the sky, wondering what had just happened. She didn't feel much, just a strange emptiness where the center of her body once was, her hand actually draped over the gaping wound, touching nothing but air. And then it hit her. It seemed the man's attack had hit her faster than her pain-receptors could respond...
"...Ow..." She groaned, slowly rising to her feet, her stomach flesh stretching over the wound he had inflicted, stuffing it up with a *pop*, healing it up as if nothing had happened. She had no idea how she was going to compete against someone so fast... Someone that could hit her faster than she could even complete a thought! As terrifying a concept as that was, she couldn't help but feel a spark of excitement too! Well! She needed some time to regain her energy before she could even be considered a threat to this man so... Time to blast!
Liari held out her hands towards the red-flaming man, firing off blast after blast of ki-energy, intending to barrage him and every other square inch of land around him! No doubt with his new speed, he'll be able to dodge these but hey... maybe she'll get lucky and he'll dodge right into another on accident.
