"Man...it sure is nice to just take a breather and a flight once in a while.." Rensu thought to himself in total vocal silence. His arms kept by his side and his body moving like a bullet, while at the same time keeping something of a casual and lax speed. Now, what had been going on with Rensu as of late, anyway? Well..for starters, he had finally become accustomed to living on Namek and embracing a more calmed and gentle lifestyle. Living amongst Remnant Saiyans had given him the benefit of enjoying a more relaxed setting. Really, he wouldn't trade it for anything. Not only did he get to enjoy the calmness of Namekian culture, but he also got to enjoy a fantastic fight darn near whenever he wanted due to that great arena-colosseum that the Remnant Alliance had cultivated and erected. Honestly, it was the best of two worlds! Just...there were some things still kind of heavy on his mind. During the earlier parts of his stay, he had encountered a fairly variable bunch. What with that Majin, Liari causing a fuss (albeit she and the Saiyan had gone and become pretty friendly at the end of things) and the many Saiyans of Saiya, Vegeta, Blehbarry, what have you coming aboard Namek. It had come to make things a bit more interesting than expected. Heck, he had yet to even face Tarro nor Tomina. He sorta dreaded the day, if he was being completely honest...
"Ugh," The teen grunted, shaking his head. A deep sigh leaving the kid as he had finally come to a stop. Easing to a halt and standing upright. Bringing his hand in front of his face and inspecting it for a moment, quite idly so. The boy went from his palm to his wrist, to his bicep and then chest. Looking up after a moment. He had realized something; He had long since abandoned "Saiyan gear". He had taken to dogi and boots and wristbands. Heck, his current outfit was just that: A crimson red dogi top and bottom. Under it, a black short sleeve shirt, and a black obi wrapped tightly around his waist, giving the impression that the jacket of his gi was tucked into his pants. On each wrist, black wristbands and black and red boots placed on his feet. Of course, he had his red headband equipped. How could he ever leave that behind? No way. His arms had come and crossed over one another now. Each hand neatly tucked under his armpits and an inquisitive look plastered along the youths face. "Hmmm..." He grumbled. "Maybe...maybe I can go and talk to Carva. I hope he doesn't wanna rip me apart.." He chuckled a bit nervously at the thought. It had been some time since their last true interaction...Carva Katchin chest plate equipped. Thread PL: 212,624 WPL: 53,156
Silence was all he desired right at this moment. He'd come to enjoy it during that day with Komatsu in the Time Chamber. Or was it a year? As he stood atop the tallest rock formation he could find, his eyes narrowed in thought. He had no idea that things such as this existed in this world. He found himself wanting to go back. He found himself wanting to once again train an entire year in a day. That would help him toward his goal of becoming a God. Yes, he'd seen two of them with his own eyes and Nasu had told him that the possibility of attaining such power for him was plausible.
He had alot on his mind that day as his dark eyes skimmed over the emerald green hills of Namek, taking in the sapphire lakes dotting the islands. He inhaled deeply, the air cool and fresh against his nose as it entered his lungs. It was pure. Would this place he had to go this way? Was it pure? Did it have a night? Furthermore, he found himself worried. Could he even stand up to these otherworldly enemies? Were they really enemies? Or were they forced into this, the same as he was?
When Carva gave it more thought, it became more of a proving of the great Commander's skill. He was part of the Pride of the Saiya-jin Galactic Kingdom. Could it be possible that he could become the pride of Universe 7? It was a lofty ambition to be sure. He was sure there would be more powerful warriors there, even moreso than he was. He gritted his teeth, clenching and unclenching his ham bone sized fists, covered in white gloves.
<What is this? Why do I feel this doubt? I have trained just as hard as any man or woman participating in this tournament. I cannot allow myself to give in to fear. I have to overcome this doubt, prove to them all that my power...no...myself...Carva, I am a force to be reckoned with.> his thoughts were of his own self doubt, his own worries about the upcoming tournament of power. But his main thought? He wanted to win, to prove Saiya-jin superiority on the battlefield once again. He tilted his head. Were there Saiya-jins in Universe 4?
No time to consider it as an extremely familiar power level caught the attention of the now, strangely enough, twenty three year old Saiya-jin who now sported a dark grey undersuit, with white boots, a white chest plate with gold trim, and white gloves. His eyes would travel toward the direction of the power level, sharp like a hawk's.
To Rensu, Carva's ki would have a heated feeling, like a roaring flame beneath a cool exterior. To weaker opponents, Carva's ki would feel like an overwhelming weight, pressing down on them. It would feel as if it were crushing them. Like a ten ton weight. Fearsome like a lion, but now calm like a shark. Constantly moving, at least in his mind.
Slowly he'd descend to the ground, boots cracking the soil beneath his feet as he'd land directly in the youngsters path. He wouldn't even drop his hands to his sides as he regarded Rensu coldly. "I'm not going to ask you where the hell you have been...or what you've been doing. As a matter of fact, I can feel that you've become a bit more powerful and I'd be lying if I to say I wasn't the least bit proud...considering the fact that I trained you not long ago. What I will ask...is what the hell is up with that ridiculous get up?"
It would be hard to tell if Carva was ridiculing his former charge or if he was kidding. His expression wouldn't change, the scars on his face signs of many battles. He awaited an answer, stationary like a statue.
"There he is," Rensu jolted a bit. The feeling of his former team member's presence was incredibly hard to ignore, truth be said. After all, how could you ignore someone with a power level of upwards three hundred thousand? It was pretty darn hard. As the teen awaited his elder's appearance, he found himself snapping towards the direction in which Carva was arriving. Waiting ever patiently. Til, well, he did s what was expected and showed up. He could feel a swirl of powers just radiating off of the man. Cold and hot, energetic and latent. Raging, yet collected. It was quite the curious blend, really. Rensu made a face as he was regarded quite distantly. "Is that so, old man?" Rensu tilted his head and folded his own arms over one another. "I guess I don't blame you. I did...up and disappear. I'm sorry, Carva. I shoulda' gave a notice before resigning." He shook his head solemnly. "But I found a new path, one where I don't have to destroy stuff I normally wouldn't." The teen huffed. Cocking a brow as Cara insulted his gi. "Jeesh, that's comin' outta you. The same guy who wore somethin' pretty similar when we both landed on Earth." Ren smiled a bit, looking quite pleased with himself and his comment.
"Yeah. I mighta' gotten pretty strong during our break." The boy smiled a little more, now. Unfolding his arms and bringing them to his sides. His ki slowly growing and expanding over time. "Some trainin' here and there does that to ya. But I can tell that you're pretty strong, too. Way more than before, 'nd the only way that's possible is that you've been trainin'. Question is, what kinda power have you unlocked, Car? Somethin' intense, I hope." Rensu smirked, now. Putting his right foot forward and grinning from ear to ear. "I could use a little help, though- old man." The lad lead on, "I need a bit of a power boost. Maybe an additional experience boost. Somethin' with a bit of oomph, to push me up another level. Somethin' past Super Saiyan, y'know?" The kid hummed. "So, what do ya say. Help me outta this slump? Or do ya wanna talk for a little..?"Carva
It was an amusing situation for the Commandant, having not seen the kid in a while. The last time he'd seen the boy, Carva had barely managed to control his form. The first tier of his power, which he soon learned that he was able to surpass, always brought forth an uncontrollable anger in Carva. But now, through much training and meditation the man's cool demeanor had taken over so rather than fly off of the handle at young Rensu, Carva chuckled. Very surprising indeed to Rensu, surely. "Tch ... yes, you should have given notice, however I don't think that hardly matters now. Of course Tomina may not be as forgiving as I am if she finds you."
Earth was such a long time ago at least in Carva's memories. In all technicality, it would have been almost two years ago considering the time passed and the day, no year, he spent in that place with Komatsu. He'd neglect to mention that fact. He didn't need the boy getting his hopes up.
Did Carva care about Rensu? Tch. "Bullshit" he'd say. But when he looked at the boy, Carva saw himself in a way. Young and conflicted was a way of life when he was a kid. He'd been trained as a killer, but he'd had a heart of gold as a child. "I ain't never been soft." He'd say. For the most part, this would be true.
He stared off into the distance with a look Rensu had never seen from his former mentor. He would stare up into the green sky of Namek, arms folded over his chest as the thoughts of what Nasu said ran through his head. "Erased." "Noone to speak of our deeds." He growled low in his chest, tail dropping from his waist and swaying back and forth. "Not on my watch." He'd reply to those dire thoughts.
He wanted to protect the Universe and it's people if only for the sake of his own people's legend. It finally became clear that as badly as he didn't want to, let's face it there were some useless people on Earth, he needed to ensure this Universe's survival. He needed to win, even if he died in the process.
He smirked. He wouldn't mention the tournament to Rensu, he had no idea if the kid even knew or not. But he knew the youngster would beg to participate if he told him. Carva felt that Rensu wouldn't be ready. He was a great warrior, but the kid's heart, it wasn't into killing. He replied to Rensu's request. "We could sit and talk for a moment. It's been a while. You're not a bad kid, Ren..." he sneered, irritation in his voice. "...a bit misguided..." he sighed, shaking his head as he conceded that Rensu had made his choice. "...but as fine a warrior as any that I have ever seen, especially at your age. The power I have unlocked is one that I didn't even think I could have acheived. But let's speak about you. You know I fight to train, but what sort of training have you been doing? How has your power grown such?"
Carva liked the kid, and knew that one day soon, they both may cease to exist. So he would talk to him first before kicking his ass, and perhaps...he would remain civil. This may very well be the last time he'd see Rensu.

"You claim to know the definition of "pain". Allow me to show you it's true meaning!"- Carva
"Guess so," Rensu suddenly felt quite serious at the mention of Tomina's name. "She'll definitely be a problem..gosh.." The teen shook his head. "I wish things were different, Carva. So they wouldn't be as complicated, but I'll take my beating if it comes. When it comes. I'm ready. I think," The chuckled a bit. A mix of nervousness and confidence swirled into one laugh. Rensu's eyes never left Carva, not even for a second. Frankly, the teen was quite impressed with how Carva maintained and held himself now. He was half expecting a fight to explode out of the sheer mention of nigh a single joke that didn't correspond with Carva's own killer and darkening sense of humor. Nonetheless, Rensu was more than okay with how this interaction was proceeding on. He wasn't one to lie, though; He did semi hope for a small scuffle or at least a little fisticuffs by the end of this!
"..." Ren leaned forward just a bit. It seemed Carva had some serious thoughts running around on the inside of his dome, right about now. What with him folding his arms and looking up all thoughtfully and all. That was a pretty interesting sight, had Rensu been asked. "Hm? Somethin' on your mind, Car?" The boy asked, concerned for a moment before he had listened to his elder speak a little bit more. "Misguided, huh?" The kid repeated, folding his own arms and huffing. "Can't save 'em all, I guess." He figured to himself. "Nah. No misguided anyone here, Carva. I chose to drop the soldier stuff and just fight on my own. No use in fightin' for someone else who ain't me." He shifted his weight to his right side. "'Sides. I meant it, I wonder when our King, Nasu, may just up and wipe us when he feels like it. The guys practically a god, ain't he? I felt that stuff." Rensu did smile, though. "How'd I get strong...well, it's simple," He pointed to himself with his thumb. "Push ups, sit ups and plenty of juice." He smirked quite boldly. Pleased with himself, almost. "And..a few fights here and there, eheh.."Carva
There was a time when Carva would have been worried about Tomina as well. There has been a time where the Commandant had been infatuated with the Saiya-jin Seductress and would have done anything to stay within her good graces. This was not that time as Carva would simply chuckle. "Heh. That woman is a hard ass, I know. But the fact of the matter is that you and I have become more powerful than before. We can defend ourselves just fine. Also, we are the same rank, so she can't rightly command me anymore." Carva scratched his head with a confused look. "Or can she? In any event, I am not afraid of her. She can get over it. I sure as Hell have."
His confidence must have been something to Rensu, as before Carva would have trembled at Tomina's name. No. Not this time. While he respected her as his colleague, his Saiya-jin Pride would never allow him to be afraid of anyone, anymore. So this may have been further evidence that he was holding something back which he hadn't told Rensu about. And he would have been glad to show the boy his newfound power, but it he did, he'd likely end up killing him without meaning to.
It was strange. The man would move over and sit down on a nearby rock, the pressure of his latent ki causing pebbles to tremble slightly. It was hard to hide what he had inside of him, but for the time being he had to. No need giving out secrets to the enemy. Which enemy was he thinking of though? Those Universe Four warriors...he knew nothing of them. How was he to know they didn't have spies in their own Universe? He chose to keep his trump cards to himself.
As Rensu voiced his opinions of the King, Carva couldn't help but sneer a bit. It was a sneer of disgust, and for a moment that latent ki seemed to rise like a geyser ready to explode. But suprisingly, Carva's anger would subside and he'd look at Rensu calmly, yet through piercing eyes. "I'm going to pretend you didn't say that. I have complete faith in our King, as it was he who chose me to..." he looked off to the side for a moment, lip arcing upward. "...join in a very, very important tournament. Apparently, there are two Universes...but...the numbers would suggest more. The one we live in is Universe Seven. The other...our enemies...are those people of a place called Universe Four."
He'd go on to explain, in great detail, that he had been chosen to help the team save our Universe. He'd tell Rensu that Tomina would be there as well as Nasu, and growl as he mentioned Cervez. But he'd also mention the consequences of failure. "Total erasure. Cease to exist. So we HAVE to win this, or else there will be NO Remnant Alliance OR Saiyan Galactic Kingdom. Which is why I'm hesitant to show you what I have perfected...who knows if those Universe Four guys are spying on us or not? Now...if you really want to see my new power..." he grinned, taunting Rensu. "...I can have one guest, a spectator. But NooooooOOOoooo...you're scared of Tomina, and she'll be there soooo...hrm..."
"I get that, guy," Rensu brought his hands by his shoulders and shrugged nonchalantly. "In the time you an' I have been apart from one another, we've both gotten stronger and stronger. We established that, right?" Rensu huffed just a little. The air escaping his nostrils before he took a deep and well deserved breath. "The thing is, you're way more power than I am right now. At least you can sorta hold some kinda candle to Tomina. She's a mean, mixed fighting machine. It's scary, and you know it is pal." The boy smiled a little, though. "I guess you have, chum. You definitely seem a lil' more confident. I can feel it, big guy." Shifting a bit, the lad cocked a brow. Carva's confidence was almost contagious. It was impressive though, as at one point Carva was so afraid of even tarnishing Tomina's name or even a letter in it. What progress he had made, Rensu found himself mentally clapping for the big oaf.
He followed Carva's suit carefully. Finding himself his very own seat and sitting by his once ally. "You can pretend to hear what you want, that's no skin offa' my back. I'm holdin' tight to that. I felt him and his monstrous energy. That guy ain't a regular old Saiyan, not anymore. And I'll put that on my tail." Now he was really enthralled by what Carva had to say. "Two universes, huh? And you got picked to be parta' our home team? Well, good job, big guy. I always figured you were meant for great things, kikiki!" Rensu's giggle was quite gleeful, really. "Jeesh..Universe Four and Seven?" He repeated. "Imagine...even more. That might mean there's even more powerful warriors to be found out, guy! Ain't that exciting?" But then came the next part.
"Total erasure? Wiping everything? Zip, nothin'? Absolutely no trace of our lives?" The tone dropped from that dump of info. "Jeesh. That's heavy, Carva. And I'd LOVE to come. I ain't afraida' Tomina," He protested.Carva
