Terra sat on the edge of a namekian beach, sighing softly as she hugged her knees to her chest and looked out across the emerald waters. Much to her shock, the little blue Majin didn't feel overly motivated to go out and explore today... Her stomach wasn't doing her any favors... It must've been something she ate... Her sky-blue cheeks had turned a sickly green and her stomach had been snarling at her all morning! Ugh... she felt so bad... So cold! She wished she kept that towel beat had given her when she'd first met him.... The little blue majin's forehead was burning up slightly, her body clearly fighting some kind of super-pathegon that had somehow wormed its way into her bodily defenses! This feeling was so new... and horrible, hurting at the insideous talons of a creature she couldn't see, run from or fight... It scared her... She wanted her mommy....
Terra curled up against the sandy earth beneath her and shivered beneath the three namekian suns, groaning softly as another shiver passed over her body... She had never been cold...Not once in her life had she ever shivered, quaked or felt the sensation of chills... It was an evil sensation... She hated it with all her being...
Tiny little tears began to bubble up at the corner of her eyes as she rolled over on her stomach, turning her head to bury her cheeks in the warm sand as if that would do her any good. She sighed softly, her eyes growing heavier than lead despite the immense discomfort she was in, her body too seeming to weigh a hundred times her normal weight. Unable to keep herself awake any longer, the little blue majin fell into a deep, feverish sleep, curling up against whatever source of heat she could press herself up against...
The artificial being known as Abscis had been hibernating for many moons, slowly regaining his strength after the space journey and subsequent crash he had endured. The days he had spent with minimal life support and no sustenance had nearly destroyed him. But, likely due to some of the DNA within his cells, he had survived.
Abscis awoke suddenly, opening his eyes to see the protective cocoon that had formed around him during his slumber. The being mentally examined himself, finding himself healed and if anything, superior. His intelligence had risen moderately, likely due to the time his body had to acclimate to the many beings he had consumed on Earth. Abscis' mandibles formed an awful grin, and he stretched forth his clawed hand towards the shell, bright orange ki erupting forth.
A gigantic plume of water erupted forth from a small lake launching Abscis high into the air. The bio-android landed with a crash, shaking the water from his form. A quick scan of the area revealed none of the Sayians or other beings present at his arrival on this strange world, but Abscis did pick up a rather powerful ki signature just a few miles away. Out of curiosity, and perhaps an instinct for absorption, Abscis took off, and for the normal being, appearing to flicker out of existence.
The power level was......not exactly what Abscis had been expecting. A small alien girl lay in the grasses, fitfully sleeping while curled in a fetal position and making small noises of pain. It's makeup seemed similar to that annoying being back on Earth, but at the same time very different. Abscis, for the first time in it's life, hesitated, as the feelings of some of the parents he had absorbed ran through him. The bio-android stretched out his palm, laying it on the girl's forehead. Abscis attempted to read the being's mind, hopefully finding out the problem.
The horrific bug-creature would lay his hand upon the little majin child and several memories would rush into him: Liari's time in hell, being dead and alone in her spirit body, finding Bernael, their romance, then the timing of Terra being born... As Terra came into the world, Liari would reach out to touch her face before instantly disappearing before the little baby blue majin's eyes, leaving her alone in her first few moments alive... The Bug-creature would see all these things in his little mind-read but, at the very end, he'd catch a glimpse the Terra having just a bit too much candy, that leading to this situation she was now in...
Terra's squirming would soothe upon the touch of the bug creature, his... unusual textures managing to bring out some modicum of peace within her. Perhaps it was those parental souls within him that made it easier for her to relax, maybe it was the way he touched her forehead, perhaps influenced by those souls within him... there was no way to know... Terra sighed happily and scooted closer to the unusual being, reaching out blindly for something to grab onto, to hug against her. Unless the bio-android moved, the baby majin would grab at one of his legs in her sleep, pulling it towards her and rubbing her cheek gently against the spike on the end... She needed hugs so bad... something to alleviate this hurting...
Abscis's eyes flickered as he scanned the small alien's memory, watching as unfamiliar places and people flashed through his mind. One image, in particular, caught his eye, the majin in the girl's memories looked an awful lot like.... Abscis's concentration shattered, breaking the mental connection. He stared at the majin girl that was so non-threatening a moment before. This one was an offspring of that aggressive Majin he had met among the ruins of Earth, the one that thrashed his best efforts like it was no problem at all. She had evidently been up to quite a lot since they had last met, and seemed to grown many times stronger with her passing. And if this little piece of fluff was her child, the bio-android needed to prepare himself. If she was anything like her mother, she would be hyper-aggressive with her strength. The best counter-attack would be-
Abscis flinched as the girl grabbed one of his legs, sighing happily in her sleep. The bio-android was stumped, he hadn't really had an encounter where the other party hadn't been trying to kill or hurt him. Every instinct in his body was screaming at him to run, or at least take out this ball of gum on the way out, but the bio-android just wasn't sure what to do. Slowly and carefully, Abscis attempted to pry the girl off his leg. It wouldn't do for a super-powerful child to wake up next to a being such as himself.
Terra couldn't help but feel the foreign presence probe her mind, her little silver eyes flickering open the moment he tried to pull himself out of her grasp. She blinked slowly, eyes still heavy and itchy from her awakening. She sat up slowly, hardly aware of the monster bug-man beside her, letting out a loud YAWN as she raised her arms above her head, stretching them out NICE and good.
"Mmm..." She grumbled, bringing a hand up to rub her eye as she got to her feet... stopping dead as she noticed the large, purple form of the bug... Slowly, her gaze would flick up, running up the various rough and sharp features of the creature, starting with his pike-like feet. There were four of them, broad, rough, boney that seemed to arch under the thin humanoid torso (also purple and armored). His arms appeared human-like too, though very thin, almost brittle looking, They each had 3, long clawed fingers on each hand and one small one that acted as a thumb... His head was longer, curved down over his chest a bit, his mouth split into sharp, teeth-filled mandibles that looked like they could chew through stone if need be!
Unlike her mother, though... Terra stared up at the creature in wonder, completely enraptured by his strange appearance! Besides the fact his color-scheme was very attractive to the Majin child, his over all jagged, bug-person appearance was nothing like she's ever seen! A wide, curious smile stretched across Terra's lips as she slowly floated up to be eye-level with the creature, reaching out a hand slowly, gently, palm upturned to show that she wasn't trying to be threatening.
"Wooow...." She whispered, reaching out to touch the bug's chitinous skin. Rough and smooth at the same time... "Where did YOU come from...?" She spoke quietly as if talking to an animal of some kind, unaware that it possessed any kind of sentience or intelligence? How could she be with an appearance so... feral? Speaking of which, it didn't appear Namekian... It didn't have the antenna most Namekian creatures did nor were such creatures so monstrous. This only intrigued her more... She HAD to know what it was! Maybe she could have it as a pet!
Abscis hissed in surprise, skittering backward as the child awoke. It was far stronger than he could ever imagine, strong enough to probably vaporize him with a thought. Abscis's ki sense pulsed as the ki encapsulated his senses, making his own seem puny and altogether weak in comparison. The bio-android's whole body was tense as he stared at the child, waiting for it to explode and echo it's mother's actions.
He titled his head, confused as the child's expression twisted in a strange way he had never seen before. It wasn't the scowl of a being disgusted with his appearance, or the common expression of fear he had seen so often back on Earth. It seemed.... not annoyed with him? Abscis was very confused now, nothing in his genetic programming had prepared him for a situation such as this. That had never happened before!
Abscis's surprise furthered as the girl went even further into insanity, asking him a direct question. His mandibles clicked for a second as he thought. "Me Abscis. Me come from orange planet in sky." Abscis rasped, gesturing upwards. It was his first memory, escaping from the lab from whence he came, only to find more enemies and miles of dusty rock. Abscis considered for a second, "Why you no run? Every person doesn't like Abscis. Big majin no like Abscis. Why you no hate Abscis?" He queried.
Terra watched the bug strangely as it skittered back from her in fear as she approached, her little fingers only touching air instead of his seemingly rough armor.
What was he so afraid of? It wasn't like she had threatened him in any way! Perhaps he had seen something else around that gave him the heeby-jeebies? The baby-blue majin looked all around, searching for anything that could make a creature so fearsome cower... Only blue grass and green ponds. Huh... Weird... Her question wasn't so much something she expected to be answered by the creature and yet... he did speak, though in a gnarled twisted voice. Her eyes widened as did her smile, more curious than ever as to the nature of this being! He looked like that and he could still talk!? That's so cool!
"Orange planet...?" She asked, looking up into the sky as if to find it... It was so hard to see anything through the thick green atmosphere of namek... The 3 suns and constant day-light didn't make it any easier either. She giggled softly at his manner of communication, slowly hovering over to the bug with her hands up, outstretched peacefully to show she meant him no harm. She wanted to feel her bug-friend, hug him! it was the best way she knew how to communicate! Hugs were a universal show of love and niceness, right? As she drew in closer, he asked why she didn't hate him, why she didn't run and, to that, she just wrapped her arms around Abcsis's long neck and hugged him, somewhat annoyed by all the poky-bits but nothing that put her off too much. She had no idea what he meant by "bigger majin"... She'd have to search her memories after this and find out... maybe her Mother knew what he was talking about!
"Because you're so COOL!" She exclaimed, pulling back enough to peer at the creature's face. "I mean look at you! That purple skin, that spiky stuff and your face is so... different! Why would I be afraid of someone so neat?" The baby blue blob would take her arms from around his neck and reach for his much bigger, long-fingered hands, running her light blue fingertips across their smooth surfaces... Her gaze was big and thoughtful, intrigued by this creature's design. She just wanted to float all around him, poke and prod every bit to learn all she could about him! Of course, that included LOTS of questions!
"You have a nice name!" She mused, running a hand across one of his throat-plates. "You're kinda strong too! Tell me about yourself!"
No matter what he did, the bio-android's action only seemed to further amuse and please the strange girl. Abscis made sure to keep a foot or so between them, he still wasn't totally convinced that this whole thing wasn't some sick trap. It was all too convenient that the one being that wouldn't try to kill him just happened across his path. However, the bio-android's ki sense was turning up nothing but grass and frogs. Could it be possible that this little girl was legitimate?
The girl then....hugged him? A confusing skien of emotions flickered through his consciousness, memories and instincts from a hundred beings all screaming conflicting desires. He hesitantly patted the majin on the back, not really sure what to do. If he tried to forcibly remove himself from this situation, it was highly likely that one pissed off toddler would hunt him down. However, if he stayed, there was no telling the impact this child could have on him.
Abscis watched bemusedly as the child ran her hands over his and continued to describe how "cool" he was. He had heard this term before, usually referring to something the being liked. As the girl asked about him, Abscis's mood darkened for a second, "Abscis strong cause Abscis made to be strong. Me not know where me was born, or anyone else. Abscis search for answers." He said darkly, before his mood completely twisted around. "So how did small majin get here? Small majin must have someone!"
Terra giggled softly as Abscis gently patted her back and answered her questions, stating that he was strong because he was made to be! She looked up at him, reading what she could from his expression, her sliver eyes glinting inquisitively in the intense light of the 3 suns. Made to be, huh...? And he was looking for answers? She ran her little baby fingers across his hard scales again, the sensation stimulating thought. In Terra's world, she never had to ask why she was alive. She had come into this world craving the love of a parent she's never met, had the memories of a life she never lived and now was talking to a bug-thing that looked like a spawn of her nightmares and she never questioned why. With most of these things, it was the only life she knew so there was no point in asking. It simply was, right?
"Why does it matter to ya?" She asked innocently, smiling up at the twisted face of her buggy companion. "Finding answers I mean. Is it not enough to know that you're alive and strong and stuff?" It certainly would be for her but Abscis seemed to be more adamant to the contrary. In fact, the mere conversation turned the bug's entire expression dark... or as dark as it could get with how inhuman it appeared. Terra tilted her head slightly, contemplating the edge of haunting determination that surrounded her new friend and what he could possibly find in his journey into his past. Answers weren't all that important... Life was watcha made it right? It wasn't as if being born was some substantial event in his life!.... Right?
Well, Abscis decided to turn these musings on her and remark that she surely had some people! Well... Yeah! She had Beat, she had Red, she had all those nice (if weird) tower people... They were all nice and stuff!
"Sure! I got friends! You're my new one!" She announced to him! "Now you have one too!" Still, she smiled sadly, letting out something of a heavy sigh as she looked into his eyes... those tiny, feral if intelligent eyes.
"Watcha got waiting back there, do ya think?" She inquired, reverting back to the topic of the answers he sought. "Would it make ya happy if you found them?"
Abscis's equivalent of eyelids blinked as the little majin asked an intriguing question. Why search so very hard for answers when he had no guarantee they would satisfy him or even bring the end to his mental turmoil. Now that he was thinking about it, going back to that pristine lab of his birth might even worsen his situation, as the strange men there might lock him back into that detestable tube. But despite this, Abscis felt drawn to that place like it had its own center of gravity. He NEEDED to go there, even if it hurt his chances of evolution or hurt his body. It was an impulse coded into his very DNA.
Air hissed from between the creature's mandibles, "Abscis not know why answers are needed small blue one, but Abscis want answers anyway. Abscis need purpose after so long alone." He explained. Perhaps it was a little strange to be having this discussion with such a young being, but the bio-android felt strangely better for it. Maybe this was why so many others associated themselves with lesser beings because it allowed themselves to strengthen their minds. Abscis tried to file away this information for later, it was something to think about at least.
The bio-android's face twisted into a strange expression, half a happy smile, and half an insane grimace. Abscis felt strange, he had never experienced such wholeheartedness from any being he had encountered before, even the progenitor of this strange one. But sadly, a new thought poisoned his consciousness "Abscis thanks you little one, but me thinks blue one wants to keep distance from Abscis. Abscis have no control over self sometimes. Big majin maybe no like that." The bio-android hissed, beginning to back away. This new connection scared the bio-android, as it began to feel commands rise up in his mind. Clutching his head, the bio-android tried to keep himself from attacking his new friend.
"Hmmm... Need a purpose...?" She questioned softly nuzzling into the creature's chest. "Well... Why not just stay with me? We can go walk around, have adventures together and just have fun all around! Doesn't that sound exciting enough for ya?" The baby blue majin glanced up at the reptilian insectoid, simply hovering with him as he tried to back away. She didn't want to even be an inch from her new friend, even if he felt like he needed some space! WELL TOO BAD! She wanted hugs and hugs she would surely get! Terra couldn't remember a time when she had smiled any wider, seeing a grin (if a twisted one) begin to crawl it's way across Abscis' twisted features! Despite what the common concept of beauty was, the little majin girl thought he had a nice smile! It really did brighten up his face the way his mouth-hole stretched to form the expression, the way his eyes lit up a bit.
Just as soon as it came, though, the smile disappeared, tainted by sorrow as the bug advised she stay away, that sometimes he "couldn't" control himself... Terra tilted her head oddly, leaning up to give the bug a soft kiss on the forehead! She knew what she got like when she was hungry... She wasn't all that patient either.
"Well, don't worry!" Terra promised, taking the hand Abscis used to massage his head in her hands, gently intertwining her fingers with his elongated claws. "It'll aaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllll be okay! Whatever's making you act all weird and funny like that, we'll figure it out, 'kay?" The baby blue majin held absolutely no fear in her heart from the bug's threat. No matter what he said to her or how much he might power up, she would ALWAYS be in a whole other WORLD of power and that made him her nice cuddly buggy! His little warning only made Terra giggle softly into Abscis's chest as she buried her face there, wrapping her arms and legs around his torso as she held him tight! The only thing she didn't like about him so far was how annoyingly pokey his armor was... Made hugging almost uncomfortable and THAT WAS HERESY! But seriously... If he were any sharper, she would half to resort to kisses instead!
"Now! Wanna find something nice to eat? Me thinks you're a bit hungry!"
