He couldn't believe his eyes! The sky looked like a black canopy stretched over the horizon with holes punched in it. Octas simply stood there, his red eyes fixated on the night sky in astonishment. <Well...this certainly is quite different. I did not expect such beauty when I came here. I wonder what the locals call this...>
He was used to seeing nothing but daylight, feeling nothin but the beat radiating from the two suns of Namekian. However, this darkness was quite different, this was new to Octas. There was a light, cool breeze brushing through the tall grass in the remote area he'd chosen to meet Touma. He finally looked ahead, no way to sense his would be sparring partner.
The demon in him was as impatient as could be, while the Dragon within him would argue with his dark side. The two were conflicting beings stuck inside one body, forming one warrior. Chances were, if he continued along this way, then he'd never reach his goal. At the same time, Octas knew the healer was of great value to him. He found himself torn at times and had to reassure himself of his greater goal. Guru of Namek, leader of the Namekian people.
A whole planet of people, half of the Demon Clan like Octas. He smirked. <Perhaps this Saiya-jin can offer me the training I need. At least I hope he can, because otherwise this whole trip will be a waste of time. I grew stronger when I fused with....with....what was his name? Why can't I remember? This is a hindrance in one's path.>
<You truly are stupid if you cannot remember my name...> spoke the kind and gentle voice within the Namekian warrior.
Their inner voices were quite different, as different as the night and day he'd discovered here on Sadal. His voice was always deep and raspy, while the voice which spoke to him was higher and more peaceful. It even had a calming effect on Octas, which really helped him with his goals. His outward appearance wouldn't outright scream "Good guy", but his inner voices were an ever warring duo.
Octas sneered a bit, his eyes scanning the horizon. He'd been waiting for Touma for a long while, and now? This goody good was insulting him. <You need to take heed of the fact that one only needs you for your special talents. And if you outlive your usefulness to one, you will be left without your body.>
<And then what shall one do? Kill me? It'd be better than loving in this nightmarish hell, I will surely tell you that.> the other voice would retort.
Octas would simply shake his head and remain silent, arms folded across his chest. He would have to deal with this a little while longer. In the meantime...where was that Saiya-jin?Wc: 481 Twc: 481
Night time? Really? Well..Touma guessed sparring at night was better than sparring in the sun. The lad felt as though he shed enough sweat as is during his working hours. Oh well. The youth had only just finished his shower, so his opponent was getting a refreshed Touma. Lucky Octas.
“Alright, Shū. C'mon. We got somewhere to go, bud.” Touma called out to his steed. Quickly, the male dressed himself in his usual choice in clothing. Black shirt, black pants. Blue sash, white socks and black shoes. A respectable color palette, Touma felt. He would bar his Battle armor for now...no use in inhibiting himself for this fight. He'd rather fight this Octas guy full on. Upon dressing himself, the young man released his mount from his stable. Hopping on and darting out into the far Outlands off the horizon. As he and Shū dashed forth, Touma couldn't help but feel excitement. Something to break up the farming routine at last. “I got some hiiiigh expectations, Octas. Better give me something to remember,” The young man grinned.
…
Touma found Octas faster than he thought he would. Dismounting the avian mount and sending him off, Touma quickly approached Octas. “Hey!” He called. “What's new, Octas?” The male asked. Waving a hand as he stopped not too far from his opponent to be.
“Good call on doing this at night. I was planning on hitting the hay, but I just remembered hehe!” Touma laughed, scratching the back of his head. “Say, I'm ready to go when you are. I'm not gonna pull any punches though, so be ready. Okay?” The young man smirked, now, his Ki rising as he powered himself up four fold. One hand brought up, and each knuckle cracked individually. A confident look on the man's face, and his eyes focused on nothing but Octas.
The Namekian had to admit, this Saiya-jin was amusing. Nice to a fault, but dumb as a brick. He smirked to himself as he listened to the man, choosing not to speak until Touma was done speaking. Finally, upon hearing the expression which the man used, he arched an eyebrow ridge. "Why would you want to hit hay? It sounds like a strange notion to one, not one that one has heard on his home planet. But to each his own, I suppose."
He also looked up at the sky as Touma used a new word which Octas hadn't heard before in his life. He was only ten years old. His kind was different than most, having aged to maturity already. He looked like a full grown man, so if he told Touma his age then he wouldn't believe. His eyes widened in realization. "So this is "night"? You see, where one comes from the sun burns brightly, all the time. One has never experienced this phenomenon that you call "night". I appreciate your imparting knowledge on me."
He was pleasantly suprised by the man's unexpected intelligence, and he could tell this guy would be beneficial to his quest. He'd decide to keep Touma around when he'd rule the Universe. Now, as far as sensing energy went, Octas couldn't do that. However, he could analyze the man a bit. He'd stare quietly for a few moments, thinking to himself. <Subject has the reach advantage, but one can subdue that strategy with long ranged attacks. He's a tall one, likely fatigued after his "yard work". The legs are a possible weak point, so one shall aim low and test the waters, as it were.>
Octas drew in a deep breath and smiled a bit, dropping into a lower stance. One hand would be pulled back behind him, palm turned upwards, his off hand out in front of him. His stance was relaxed, as he was ready to move at a moment's notice. He motioned Touma on. "Alright, Touma...let's do this. One is prepared for his sparring partner."Wc: 347 Twc: 728
Touma raised his eyebrows, making a blank expression. He looked at Octas with the look a child would give to an adult who had just spoke nothing but crazy talk. “...?” The male squinted. Pursing his lips before rolling his hand out. His palm open and towards the beautiful night sky. The stars shimmering above them, shining over the two warriors and the sounds of the night chiming. “Hit the hay..means go to sleep..” Touma explained. Looking to the ground for a second or two before looking back up. “Wait a sec. Do you know what sleeping is? Gosh…” The young man shook his head. “To each their own, yeah,” He repeated. It was funny. To Octas, Touma was seen to be dumb as hell. Whereas in Touma's eyes, the Namekian was seen as unaware and just a wee bit dumb. Not knowing what a simple phrase meant- Ha!
“Uh, yeah,” The Saiyan nodded. Folding his arms, his head tilting a few degrees. Blinking, he responded to the alien calmly. “This is night. It's dark, the sky turns black-blue, and the stars come out. Y'know what stars are right? Some of them are planets, some of them are just burning orbs in space. It's pretty neato.” Touma looked up for a short moment. “Boy, for it to be morning or day alllll the time…” The young man made an unpleasant face at the thought of it. “Weak. That's gotta suck pretty hard..” He shook his head slowly.
“Let’s see…” Touma thought to himself. Examining Octas closely. His jaw clenched tightly and his expression getting quite serious. It seemed his Namekian opponent was ready for battle. He nodded once, assuming a position of combat. Tensing his muscles before calming and loosening up. Ready to battle and move as fluid as water. “I got some advance stuff on 'em. I got height but even so, that'll only take me so far,” Touma's thoughts ran quickly. “I got it. I'll throw him off.” The male grinned, nodding the moment Octas agreed to combat.
An orb formed in the male's palm. A golden ball of Ki readied up and his legs rising with energy before launching the young man into the direction of Octas. “Get ready!” He called out, a great spiral motion made as he closed into Octas. The orb thrown into his opponents direction. The aim of the toss to be at Octas’ feet, and kick up a great plume of dust and debris. A distraction of sorts, only to be followed by a fantastic kick for the Namekian's gut!Octas Stam: 3/3 300 DMG dished!
He looked at the tall Saiya-jin with a bit of confusion in his red eyes, then deadpanned. He couldn't really say that he didn't know what sleeping was. After all he was quite knowledgeable in most areas. However, his version of sleeping would likely be different than what Touma considered sleeping. He would nod his head and explain. "Of course one does understand the concept of rest, though one wouldn't say our ways of "resting" are the same. I would say that one's meditation is restfull enough as we Namekians use our minds often. Might may make right, but mind over matter is also very important."
In fact, he couldn't remember ever getting a good night's sleep. He spent most of his time handling his affairs and studying. He would nod once again. "Yes, it stays daylight on Namek. One never really noticed a change until leaving and coming here as one had lived on Namek since birth. The darkness...is beautiful..." he said with a slight grin, staring up at the night sky. He'd always known that there were other planets put there. There was no way there wasn't.
As the Saiya-jin would throw off the ki blast, the Namek would indeed find himself distracted. He'd dodge the attack swiftly, only to be hit by oncoming gut kick! He'd grimace but he'd step in, hooking his arm around the leg of Rensu and driving the point his elbow into his knee!Wc: 242 Twc: 970
Tanking Rensu's attack to deal out 313 dmg of his own!
Success, a direct hit at that! Touma was quite joyous with the turn of such events, and found himself smiling quite wide. What a fortunate event that this green foreigner would come and bless the farmer with the opportunity to train and engage in some real combat for once! He wouldn't let Octas down, especially if this was going to be as fun as he initially envisioned. Now, Touma's smile would need to wait. As he felt his opponent wrap a limb around his leg and a jerking motion pull the Saiyan inward. A pointed elbow crashing directly into the Saiyan farmer's gut. The wind stolen from his lungs and a forceful pull done by Touma, falling to the ground to recover.
Though, his recovery was swift. Touma rose to his feet and dusted himself off, rubbing his belly gently. "Woof! Fun fun fun!" He giggled, reassuming his Battle stance and deciding to restart his offence. "Atatata!" He cried, Touma's hands flying back and forth as orbs of Ki blasted forth and towards his opponent. He'd tire him out...or draw him in! Whatever came first!300 ATK! Octas
The hit caught Octas off guard, jarring his abdomen a bit. Whoever this guy was, he hit pretty hard for a farmer! Catching his breath, Octas hit hard as well, driving the point of his elbow into the man's knee at the point where the ligaments connected the bones. His attacks were very targeted, very precise. He grinned a bit, his sharpened canines sticking out. He was enjoying every second, though Touma had managed to leave an abrasion on his torso, breaking the skin of his taut abs!
The Dragon in him was a peaceful being at one time, but the Demon in him was part of that warring type. He was the type of man who actually enjoyed fighting. He was the type of "Demon" who wanted to best his opponent at every turn and be challenged. He. He identified as a man among men. Tough as nails and ready to scrap!
His eyes narrowed into slits, gleaming as they caught the light of Touma's ki blasts. He hunkered down a bit, his strong quads tightening. As the ki blasts edged ever close, his biceps tightened as well and he would begin to swat at the blasts. The great Namekian warrior was on point! He'd send blasts flying into the tall grass as he zipped to the side, easily swatting them away. He'd show this Saiya-jin that Namekians COULD be excellent fighters!
Touma would notice if he was watching, Octas' right leg would bend like that of a runner as white flames of ki exploded outward around him. Slapping more blasts to the side, he'd jet toward Touma with his chin tucked into his chest, his head aimed straight at the solarplexus of the Saiya-jin and looking to knock the wind out of him!Wc: 295 Twc: 1,265
Blocked Touma's attacks using Melee finesse! 300 vs. 313! Octas is successful!
313 dmg headed Touma's way from a flying headbutt!
“Hah!” The male cried. Each blast thrown with a ferocious might, one after another and another. As Touma watched his opponent simply swat aside each blast and throw them to the side, he had to wonder what he could do to really tip things in his favor. It seemed they were so evenly matched that one could not just get over the other. Not, to say that such a thing was negative and bad. If anything, it simply made the battle all the more exciting and fair. Fairness equaled honesty and honest fights were perfect for displaying the greatest a warrior could hope to provide. No one man was greater than the other simply from a power standpoint, but instead from a skillful stand.
The man's brow cocked and his eyes squinted as he saw Octas move. His foe had a plan, did he? Well, Touma had to match up. There was no way he could just let his defense go down one hundred percent, doing so would result in a swift and somewhat humiliating loss for him. Halting his fire, Touma prepared. The glimmer of that Namekian head shone in the night sky, as the moon cast it's light forth onto the two fighters, Touma noticed an incoming headbutt. What a gutsy move, Touma thought. But, it wouldn't work! As the youth crossed his arms and brought his head down, his chin into his chest, he found a defense pose. Guarding his torso and head with equal strength, and a thud sound crashing out as the two super warriors got close. “Get ready,” He said in a sharp breath.
Opening his arms, and aiming to stagger his opponent for a second, Touma winded up a fist. Electricity surging through his fingers and palm. His arm covered in a flashy display, the Saiyan had something incredible to show Octas. “The fight begins here! Hyagh!” He cried, bringing his fist back and then shooting it forth, in a short uppercut, Touma released a surge of Ki into Octas— Or so he hoped to! A fine deal of damage was headed his way!!Touma chose to defend against Octas' headbutt and uses [VT-1] Electric Wind God Fist used for 1,500 DMG in return!! Octas
His body moved through the air fluidly as he dodged those blasts, energy breaking into the ground. As he flew forward, he'd stiffen his neck for the headbutt, wishing to do a good bit of damage to his opponent. He needed to show the Saiya-jin who was the superior warrior, the demon Clan fighting against his Dragon Clan humility. He was good and evil, Yin and Yang put together. The perfect balance.
He'd run into Touma's arms with a loud thud, the momentum throwing him backwards. He'd take the momentum and turn his body in midair, landing on his feet and leaving a trail of dust as he slid backwards slightly. The man would throw his arms up and prepare himself...<He's pretty fast for his size after all, isn't he? Tch...those arms felt like iron. But he won't stop me! I will become stronger!>
He was stronger than Touma likely could imagine, but he chose not to become that giant Namekian...he knew what he was capable of. His opponent didn't. But he wouldn't let on to it, unless an emergency rose. The light of Touma's attack shimmered in his red eyes, and Octas would swiftly move to the side, so fast in fact that he'd leave an afterimage. An old school move, but quite effective actually! He'd call out to his opponent. "You'll have to do better than that if you want to hit me!"Wc: 238 Twc: 1,503
