Fighting Style Techniques
[These are the OT/ST/Passives of your martial art school. These are kept within the strict confines of the normal technique applications, but they come free and do not require technique slots. BG/INT/ADV are all considered part of the same technique progression regardless of technique type. Ergo for the ADV for example you do not need the preceding techniques, as the BG and INT are considered part of those techniques. (For example you do not need a ST-1 Barrier to use the ST-3 ADV Barrier technique, as your BG and INT techniques are considered the progression for that technique!
You can mix between OT/ST/AND PT so long as all of the techniques stay within the theme of your martial art. This will be watched to prevent abuse.]

Special Techniques
[These are the tricks from your school, your martial art. These are considered the character’s unique abilities that distinguishes them from other characters! Unlike Fighting Style Techniques however, these techniques do not fit within the restrictions of the normal technique applications. Specials are inherently better than normal technique slots.
It’s either a buffed charge on techniques, a unique OT/ST, or a unique PASSIVE.
You start out with the first branch of the technique, then at level 2 (101k+) you obtain the second branch, and then at level 3 (201k+ you obtain the final level of the special!)]

ULTIMATE
Ultimates are the pinnacle of a school. They are the most dangerous techniques a person has in their arsenal, and can make up the difference in a fight! They are risky however, for a person can only perform this technique once in a fight, as they are very difficult and taxing on the user! (A person can only use the ultimate technique of a school once per thread. This does not mean they cannot use multiple ultimates however, as they can use other schools techniques during a thread. This means a person can use a range of 1 to 3 ultimates during a thread, if they’ve obtained the slots for them. Ultimates are split up into 3 different categories with varying effects and limitations.
[Ultimate-3] Ultimates of this calibur typically gain 2 effects, maybe 3 if the charge of the ultimate is low charge (100%). Drains 3 stamina points.
[Ultimate-4] Ultimates of this calibur typically are more powerful. They have 3 effects, maybe 4 if the ultimate has a drawback to it (like killing the user).
[Ultimate-U] This is a Utility ultimate, and ergo it does not have a stamina cost. Instead it gives the user a passive effect of some kind. These are very scrutinized however and will be judged the harshest so fair warning.
FINISHER
A Finisher is a person’s sole trap card, their ace in the hole. Finishers are brutal techniques. Typically the only way to counter a Finisher is with another FInisher (but this is not absolute). However they are very draining, and take up the entirety of a person’s stamina (which must be 5). You must be at 401k PL in order to learn Finishers. You must also purchase the Finisher Slot, which costs 100k zeni. A Finisher is an improvement of a single Ultimate technique. Though it doesn't necessarily have to have the same effects always, they should be similar and fit the theme of your school!
