At last, the Saiyan earned the right to hear the name of this Prince's race as he spoke it so causally almost like they were to know. "Elemi, huh? I'm glad you won't go down that easily." he chuckled softly as he realized that his blows were having somewhat of an effect on the Prince at this point. It seemed that if he kept pressuring him in such a way the battle would end, but it would end even faster with what he was attempting to do to force the man to his full power. Despite that, the uncomfortable appearance of the group off to the side was far too obvious for the Saiyan. He felt a little bit bad playing the aggressor in this situation in front of them but he was having way too much fun making the prince show him everything he had. In any case, the Prince wouldn't die, the Peacekeeper would make sure of that.
As his blast met the Prince head-on, Rutaba's eyes would narrow down a bit. It seemed the people on the sidelines were quite shocked, causing the Peacekeeper to throw one arm to the side as if to tell them to calm down. "He'll be fine, this is just a spar after all. I'd be a brute to kill someone just because they couldn't negate my attacks." although he said this fairly confidently, the lack of reaction inside of the dust storm that the blast had created was worrying him. Did he actually go overboard? This was all for the thrill of the fight itself but perhaps he had made a very fatal error. He wouldn't admit that just yet though, wanting to rather see what would come of this before making any rash decisions just yet. Sure enough, it paid off as well.
The bright light of the Elemi Prince's form pierced the Saiyan's eyes as he held a hand up once more with a smile on his face. "Heh, I guess you did manage, after all, Prince. I knew you'd pull through." the show must go on, as they say. He was worried for a bit there but he had to keep a calm face through all of this. Luxain even made a passing remark about his light flashing before his eyes which was possibly a pun in and of itself due to this bright form that he took up. Rutaba looked off towards the two girls who were a good deal closer now, not too sure how to respond to them being so much closer to the fight just in case they were caught in the crossfire. Both of them were a great deal stronger than before, so the intensity and range of their combat could possibly exceed into their area as well.
That was when the Prince offered to join together in a last blast of glory to level the entire plateau they were standing on. It sounded like a fantastic way to end it off, so the Saiyan obliged in full. "I look forward to seeing your progress in the near future, Prince. I fully agree that ending it in a magnificent blast would be fitting!" the Saiyan would match the Elemi's roar in kind as he pulled his hands out to the side, creating a spitting image of the same blast he used before to push his opponent into his current state. Whether this was the exact same or not was unclear but it was obvious what he was planning to clash against the Prince with. His eyes slowly glided towards the Trio who were watching them all. "You might want to watch from afar, this whole place is going to crumble down. Stay safe and all that." with that out of the way, the Saiyan locked his eyes back onto the Prince in front of him as they both charged their attacks up, this was going to be glorious indeed.Stamina:1/3 Stamina Offensive/Defensive PL: [54,719 Base] - [54,719 Weighted Saiyan Soul] Transformations Used: Saiyan Soul: The user remembers their great Saiyan pride and awakens their hidden energy to power up. The trio would be watching just off to the side as these two larger powers started gathering themselves. To them, it was a rare occurrence. They'd not seen too many warriors who would take the time in a more proper setting to fire their beams of whatever energy made them up. Much less martial than the armies these people were used to. It'd be Rutaba first to suggest that they all at least take to the skies, out of harms way. But the prince squinted up at them through the blinding rays his fists were now. Barking orders over to them rather sterile.
"Ahh, better idea! Claran, take the others and make sure that the crew is not only getting things done on time but... make sure no stray flying bits of earth are going to come colliding with our camp! The last thing we need is to hassle the locals for their own equipment! Now, get on with it!" Claran, the one still ways off to the side of the plateau, took another bit of whatever bar he had taken with him to watch and snack on and decided to stand rather hurriedly at the order and his name call. Smiling and nodding at the request with a sideways glance at the other two. These two blinked and frowned at the rather dangerous stuff the prince was doing now, the youngest redhead being the one to sort of hesitate and almost question the order. With a simple composure and sigh she'd start to fly off with the elder woman, Claran picking his chair on up and waving at the two warriors.
"Of course, my liege! We'll be off!" Luxain's light orbs continued to amass on these open hands with time, the light elemi just giving a small nod to his departing compatriates. With some more time passing, it'd seem the air around the prince would darken, becoming concentrated into the points that he was drawing them into over his hands. Now, it seemed that ball and energy were pouring on over into his forearms with their radiance. Like a strange eclipse happening around his body where this was being leeched.
"Aye, Elemi! I'd expect as much a stale reaction! We're not really keen on going outside our own systems!" He'd roar over his now noisy charge, having to plant his feet now in the denting ground underneath him. He started feeling his body pressured by a technique that he'd rarely find a use for outside his own planet. It'd reflect a bit in his voice as it felt a bit strained. He'd keep his eyes on the Saiyan but did make a detour to whatever blast it was being formed on the other side of this struggle. Noticing a very similar stance and yield to his own, barring the whole light thing.
"Ahh, so it's not just us that can pour our all into attacking! Brilliant!"

Rutaba couldn't help but chuckle a bit softly as he saw Luxain take control of his people and give them all something to do. It was like a true prince interacting with them now that they were in this heated struggle against one another. Who could really say if this was going to end in such a bad way though? Nonetheless, Rutaba was happy that Luxain was looking out for his people that way, a smile on his face as the energy in his hands kept climbing higher and higher. It seemed the two of them really were going to clash with all of their might in this final blow, and in all honesty, Rutaba's energy wasn't looking very good but he knew he would be able to assault with all he had nonetheless to make the clash a stunning one.
Soon enough, the trio off on the sidelines had actually made their leave, causing the Saiyan Peacekeeper to offer his opponent a soft smirk as he watched the air darken around the opponent who seemed to be taking the light into his own attack. The Saiyan couldn't help but perk up, however, as the Prince started to talk to him a bit further. "Yeah... if I'm being honest I've never really heard such a name before. But that makes me all the more curious, you know? An unknown race out there who shows this much potential has to be interesting! You'll have to tell me more when we aren't so preoccupied!" the Saiyan's smirk grew into a full-on smile now as he stared down the Elemi Prince before him. In a way, he felt like their mirrored movements and attacks had to mean a lot more than what was going on. Both of their arms engulfed in their energies as they charged up to max power felt symbolic in a way, as they were going to collide directly in the center with such similar techniques.
Upon reflection of his opponent's voice, however, the Saiyan couldn't help but worry about the state the Elemi was in. Was he really going to be alright producing an attack of this stature if he was already being pressured and strained? Perhaps this wasn't such a good idea after all. This further cemented itself once the Prince spoke up further. "Charging techniques is incredible, isn't it? Try not to go too overboard though, Prince." Rutaba said this with another smile, but the tone of his voice sounded a lot more worried like he was unsure about this now. That couldn't exactly be the case, though, could it? The Prince would give up if it was going too far for him to handle most likely. There had to be some sort of trust between the two there that the other wouldn't blow themselves up just for a flashy ending.
Nonetheless, Rutaba's feet also dug into the ground below him as his attack climbed ever higher with the charging. At this point, it was far exceeding whatever output the last attack he used had. The clashing of these two techniques together would most likely be interesting to see no matter how it affected the landscape. With the golden energy coursing through the palms of his hands, it was obvious to tell as well that he was getting fired up to use it. Soon, it would be charged to the max as well. There was hardly more waiting to be had. "You Elemi sure are fun to battle against though, I'll give you that and much more. I look forward to fighting alongside you lot some day. But let's make sure to push one another to full heights in this one clash to make sure we can fight together even stronger!" his voice boomed out with enthusiasm. He knew that Saiyans grew stronger with every fight. And with a fight as intense as this, even if it wasn't meant for lethality sake, would most likely shove him into something far greater.Stamina:1/3 Stamina Offensive/Defensive PL: [54,719 Base] - [54,719 Weighted Saiyan Soul] Transformations Used: Saiyan Soul: The user remembers their great Saiyan pride and awakens their hidden energy to power up. Luxain just grinned and stared the Saiyan down as he talked all about the future and whatever that held for them after this fight. It was intense for sure, but the friendliness of it wasn't forgotten on the young prince. In all his glory he'd give a few little laughs. He was a little uncomfortable, sure, but at this point, his mind was all about the thrill of the moment. Royalty or not, his inner nature was literally shining With this great stall happening between the two he couldn't help but prod the cow.
"I dare say you best cover your eyes! Any moment, my ocean of light will pour over this very ground we stand on. Prepare yourself, sir Rutaba!" He'd give a rather clean-cut warning to the man as some of the earth of the plateau would rise with the charging blast now. The light drawing starting to slow its pace as the prince seemed to deem it soon fit to launch the blast. He could hold out a bit longer, but the anticipation was killing him. Such power was going to make it a rather difficult shot to make it non-lethal, but with the power excuding off the Saiyan? He had high hopes he'd manage. It was probably Rutaba who was more so worried about him, and while the notion was cute it sorta rode at him the wrong way.
"Overboard!? Don't be silly! I've got to show myself worthy enough to dance. Surely you understand!" Slowly his hands would clench into tight fists in his gauntlets, his strained body being slow to start bringing them together in the technique's final act. Full stop now the charge went, the light exploding back out around him as he stopped it to bring his fists forward. Holding them together and outwards at the intended target. A clash of blasts that would send everything but the two powers throwing them everywhere! Wherever this lead the two next would be up to a little fate and some quick maths on the gods part.
"Lux. Mare!" He'd shout out words not in a common tongue as the light balls focused around his fists would shine vibrantly to the command of his self, right before they'd shoot outwards and focus in on themselves to form a beam of light. Shooting its way fast and hot towards Rutaba. The terrain traveled just above being torn just some bit from its mere presence. Now, it was time for the show-stopping performance!

Rutaba immediately smiled as the man seemed to push back against his worries, they were going to be fine it seemed. "Alright, I understand." he couldn't help but chuckle immediately to himself as he watched the man bring his hands together for the technique. "Heh... similar there too." the Saiyan would note further about the two technique's and their similarities as his hands were brought together immediately upon seeing what his opponent was doing. They were going to destroy the entire mountainside with this attack, and all of the visitors in the future to the planet, as well as the inhabitants that visited this place, would know that a mighty battle took place. Little would they all know that it was just a spar between two aspiring individuals? Who could think such an impact would come from them!
The moment the Elemi shouted out his words, the Saiyan knew full well what was about to go down. Perhaps he couldn't understand this bizarre foreign language that the man spoke in, but it was a common notion among fighters that such a thing was an attacks announcement. "I'm going to put everything I have into this technique, Luxain! Spiral Wave, fire!" Rutaba roared out as lightning would suddenly bounce along the Saiyan's body in every direction as the massive amount of ki stored in his palms would be aided by his intense will to battle and combat this opponent. There was no malice burning within him, but all of his inner strength was being siphoned for this one moment as he began to fire right back towards the Elemi on the other side in a massive spiraling wave. It didn't take too long for the two of them to be in an intense struggle between their techniques.
Immense heat burned through the center of the near equally powerful beams. Whichever one was in the lead was hard to tell right off of the bat purely from the similarity to the attacks as well as their power that was shoved into their respective techniques. It felt like it was going to be that way for a little while as well until suddenly, a small bit of push receded towards the Saiyan was the ground below both of the fighters started to give way from the clash. He was losing?! Sure enough, his attack was on the losing side of this clash and soon enough, the technique in the middle of the warriors would explode in a massive ball of light that entirely blinded the Saiyan's vision and absorbed them both from view.
As the light began to fade, the entire plateau that they were on was practically wiped from existence, barring the rubble and debris that collapsed before it had exploded in on them. Despite the devastating explosion, Rutaba only got off with minor battle damage on his roughed up body, with his upper clothing being blown away partially on one side to reveal his chest as it had taken the brunt of the explosion, albeit it wasn't even enough to phase the Saiyan in terms of getting him down to a defeated state. The Saiyan panted softly, exhausted from the exchange as he'd lower himself down to the floor to touch down amongst the rubble below. "Prince Luxain? Are you alright?" Rutaba called out, looking around for the Elemi as he couldn't get his bearings just yet to even sense the Prince in the first place just yet, relying on sight for a second to look for him. The saiyan wasn't really sure what had happened to his opponent in the resulting blast and wanted to make sure he hadn't died or anything extreme when it was promised to just be a show of power between the two as well. But unbeknownst to the Saiyan, his opponent had practically gotten off scott free from the explosion, he won that clash. The prince kept his eyes peeled and body ready as the Saiyan shouted out his own attack to retaliate. Shooting it forwards in a similar beam manner. Never in his short life as an elemi has he seen an opponent strong arm him in response. Off planet nevertheless, with an eerily similar way of going about their power. There was reason enough to see why Luxain got excited enough to ascend here. The winds of their imminent collision along with this supposed form would fly behind them both as a booming sound of energy clashing echoed. This got a hoot and holler from the usually posh prince. Fighting to at least keep the beams equal.
"Incredible!" And what'd seem like ages, these two's clashes would stalemate one another. Tearing at the surrounding plateau with their mere presence. Indeed, it started to even topple the place prematurely. Not a problem for either combatant as Luxain made sure to stay in place with the miracle of light. He wasn't about to be stalled or beaten here though. He had been doing this explicitly to prove himself and his people as capable. Not to be messed with. It was that thought alone perhaps that pushed Luxain that extra bit. Throwing his weight behind more of the continuing blast that eventually fell in his favor. And when that timer ticked the last time their clashes blew up much closer to the Saiyan than himself. Forcing debris, dust, and earth up from the plateau as it was destroyed. This blinding flash from it didn't actually phase The Beacon as he squinted past. he couldn't see through most the debris at first, and honestly, he was plum tired.
The rubble and such would eventually settle, the dust around the two falling from obscuring angles to reveal that Luxain was pretty much unscathed from the beam struggle. Still having his arms extended with fists tight together, he'd pant while floating over their destruction. A big dumb smirk over his face as he'd finally get a look over the opponent. He'd have to guess the blast either barely got through or this Saiyan was letting him on with how strong he was to have come out with just a bit of torn cloth. And neither would really save face, so he wasn't gonna bring it up in the first place! He'd keep his smug look as he squinted the prince up and down visibly. Eventually lowering his stance with a long sigh.
"Okay? I'm feeling GREAT. Haha... hah. Never have I had an equal." That was stretching it a bit, the elemi slowing himself as his form still was giving him some form of adrenaline he'd rather not have when trying to talk. As far as he was aware, this little bout ended with their sparring field leveled. And Rutaba's concern only cemented that. Problem was, this form was nothing less than an act of prowess. Something very few of his countrymen have been able to reliably call upon or revert. The Saiyan would then see and watch the prince float over carefully. Eyes closed and some deep breaths taken. Slowly but surely the literal rays of light bouncing from him, and the whirling aura of blinding photons would cease. His eyes opening to show their glow had faded back to crystal teal eyes. He offered a hand.
"I'll have to thank you for the bout. You were not jesting with your strength. Please, allow me and my people to see you rested up in one of our own contraptions before you have to set off." He'd offer with another few drawn out pants, wiping his hair aside with his free hand as he straightened himself up now. Hanging in the air there, he'd be pretty much just offering some hospitality of his own. It was the least he could do after such a show and blood rush. WC: 654 TWC: 7,889
Without much thought, the Saiyan continued to look around the toppled area trying to find any signs of the prince before he was able to spot the man being completely unphased by the blast they had created. The grin on his face told the Saiyan enough that this was a satisfying conclusion to their battle in a way, so there was nothing to complain about really. It even seemed like the prince was going to keep up his stance for a while to hold the pose before pulling back into a normal position to speak. It seemed that all around the fight had its epic conclusion already and the two of them could get off free on that.
Knowing that this scene wasn't going to turn into the horrors of a spar gone wrong, the Saiyan offered a very soft smile to his opponent that still looked pretty determined on its own. "I never would have thought I'd find somebody who got this excited in the heat of battle like myself before. I have to say I feel great too." Rutaba would talk with a firm voice, reaching onto his scorched battle plate and tearing it off so that all that was left was his heavy-weighted gear underneath. He didn't seem to mind his outfit being a bit destroyed and rendered useless, as he carried that same smile still as his form dropped in response to Luxain's power also dropping before his very eyes.
It seemed that the man was entirely tuckered out after this, the offered hand was taken in kind with a smile on the Saiyan's face still as his hands slowly returned to his sides after a few moments. "You're very much welcome, I have to thank you as well. I find myself having trouble meeting people who can fight with me and give me such a rush, I was able to go all out this time." Rutaba would look down at his fists as he clenched them slowly. His people were a warrior race, and while more docile to focus on the more protective side of the Sadal Defense Force, they still carried that love for battle in their blood. There was no getting rid of that, but he also didn't want to.
Nonetheless, his eyes rose to met Luxain as he brought up getting rested in a contraption of sorts, he'd rub the back of his head in thought before just nodding. "I wouldn't mind that much, my primary duty was meeting the people who landed here anyways. So I have no other duties besides being here anyway. I just have to head back to give a report and all that." he'd roll his shoulders a little, feeling slightly sore due to the energy he had to put into that final attack. In any case, he would feel bad not taking the offer from the Prince seeing as they had done so much in one day, and any bit of kindness would be welcomed with open arms.
He had very little more to say on any of the subjects, so he defaulted to just floating up towards the Prince to get ready to head back. "Besides, I'm sure your friends back there are worried about if everything turned out okay, with how they were acting before they were sent off. But I'm up for this contraption of yours." and at that point, he would wait, as he just needed to see how this would play out first. Stamina: 1/3 -> 2/3 Stamina Luxain
Meet, huh? So the whole thing with Rutaba was more than just checking on them and making sure they weren't hostile. Proven by their small rumble atop this previously standing ground, the next, more domestic part of the whole gathering would begin smooth enough. He'd shake that hand with still enough vigor in it and wave the man towards him as he started off back towards camp. That familiar white glow creasing out from his body right before he'd zoom off as a near beam of light.
"Come then! I'm sure to get you familiar with some of our culture, people, and ways along with our technology! That ought to give you plenty to report back on, alongside our call for aid." And zoom, he'd flash off to the distant ship and housing they had just left in order to leave behind the battle-scarred plain they'd encounter each other on for this event. Taking him back on over to the large building and ship between two of their own large plateaus. Coming up on it, most of the other crew members had seemed to either taken up in this ship itself or up in the 'contraption' Luxain had mentioned before briefly. A mansion that seemed to have entire rooms modular to one another. Able to be placed just about anywhere else in the configuration as most the room sizes were identical cubes. He'd step down back to that small panel on a stand near the entrance of a pseudo-porch that the thing had created and punched in a few numbers. Expecting the Saiyan to be hot behind him.
"Right, the contraption. It's in the works according to my Great Father. Entire systems of housing, modular and able to be blueprinted and laid out almost instantly, provided you have the material components both raw and mechanical. Judging by the crew had taken their leave of the 'construction', they probably unpacked most the other onboard materials needed. It even tells me how much I have and what we need to build certain structures, so maybe smaller models for the adventurous type can be made./font]" As he explained it a little, the back end of the large structure started churning, and from its side, one of the blocky room started reaching out with retractable arms to start laying out a quick three dee copy of the layout with the frame. And impressively enough, cover the space with its own blocky housing and structure in under a minute flat. This, this was going to be a guest room.
"Though I'll preface by saying we are possibly going to run into more advanced things out here in the galaxy, so I'd want to be the first to report back on these 'tuffle' allies of yours, as you have said previously. Take your shoes and any dirtied up cloth in the first rooms, the hangers and servants will clean them before you head out. If you can't stay, don't worry. At least rest your feet a bit and we can talk over some more personable things. Over tea. Or maybe coffee, are you feeling coffee? Hot Chocolatte?" Luxain would walk almost backward towards the door and open it while speaking to the man, naturally slinging his cape away and start loosening his single strapped armor. Right, that single flap up front was the only thing that needed to be adjusted, at the right time, for him to slip out of it entirely. Like a loose tunic. Seemed he had to hold onto the seamless strap the entire way down, but he could probably get in and out of the suit of metal real quick. And from their fight? Mendable scratches. He'd pop a special rack out from the entrance room to hang this suit on now.
"If you want, I can show you a bit more the intricacies of this sort of thing from the inside, a tour of sorts." His undergarments were somewhat frilly and pompous, but he was fairly built under it. Didn't look that prissy. He'd let the offer sink in the air for a while, smiling as he offered a grand gesture to the doorway, wide in its design, next to the pair.
It seemed that he was going to be learning a lot from this little visit besides just the strength of this Elemi race. Of course, he was going to follow along as quickly as possible alongside the man once he glowed so immaculately, his own white aura flaring around the peacekeeper's body as he flew back to the ship they met at before. It didn't take either of them very long till they were at the plateaus that housed the Elemi's buildings and ship. He only arrived a short bit after the Prince started to punch something into a panel, just looking around a bit as he waited. It truly was all a curious sight to see structures like this, it was so alien to him. The only times he saw anything more bizarre was during his visit to the Sadal Ruins.
Rutaba himself didn't really understand what Luxain had to say next, giving a curious look in a way as he tried to stare at the panel a little more. If what he said did make any sense, it would explain at least why the building was already there considering how quickly he responded to their arrival. Perhaps it wasn't as fast as it could have been, but most societies still couldn't build entire houses that quickly. He didn't really have anything to say on the subject, though, as he was dense on such technology and was blind to how it worked when Demalia talked about her own stuff, let alone this foreigner stuff that seemed out of his understanding. At least with the advanced tuffle gadgetry, it looked like something else with similar wording.
Watching it unfold before his eyes, though? That was another story as the Saiyan beamed in excitement watching an entire room being made in under a minute. "Whoooah! That must be extremely useful. That must save a whole bunch of time! I'd love something like this... but, I'd probably mess something up... heh." he rubbed the back of his head with a bit of shame realizing he'd probably set up a house weird with this technology seeing as he didn't really know how these kinds of setups worked. Most likely, he'd have some abomination with twelve bathrooms, one bedroom, and nothing else.
This excitement would settle down very quickly, as Luxain talked about the Tuffles a bit and said to put his dirtied or damaged clothing aside. That was fair enough, as a little rest could be nice for both of them in the long run. "Well... drinks aren't really my forte when it comes to preference. Whatever is easiest for your people, I'll gladly take it." the Peacekeepers eyes went upwards in thought. He was more a food guy in any case, all of those drinks sounded delightful. In any case, he just walked inside with the Prince, looking around a bit casually as he tore off his partially destroyed armor and battlesuit, leaving him with just his fatigues and weighted gear. He paid basically no man to the prince being in frilly undergarments, more curious about the offer of the tour in general.
"If you are offering I'd love to have a tour of the place. The more I see about your facilities and all of that the more I can understand in general." he gave the Elemi a small smile of sorts as he started to look down the doorway that was beside them.
Speaking of, this first little bit of structure in the entrance was pretty modern in terms of decor, not bearing much resemblance to the antiquity and medieval looking garb these elemi seemed to wear. passing by that first after the two of them got to settle down out of their armor, however, would reveal a pleasant blend and taste of style. Settling for a rough elegant style fit for a lord's keep while integrating many higher advanced things within the many objects seamlessly. What they walked into first was a sort of lobby, fitted with a few wall torches and great carpets, pictures and canvases on the walls. A small portion of a column near the entrance wasn't entirely there, however, Luxain taking a grimace at its notice.
"Prototype, like I said. To be quite frank, I didn't expect it to even replicate paintings let alone the intricacies of textures along the walls and surfaces. I imagine with this level of detail you could model after just about ANY culture's decor. This is probably going to be as much a tour for myself as it is you, I haven't got to check it entirely myself." He'd offer up as a bit of talk as he just stepped on over to a cabinet of sorts, opening it to reveal a full-on fridge. Grabbing a cold aqua from it for himself while also giving one a toss to the Saiyan. Since he didn't seem too down on picking the more fine drinks, he'd maybe appreciate the healthiest option after a nice fight like that. he'd also punch a few digits into the side of it and send the door back on itself. Opening and taking a nice swig of his drink. Almost immediately the sounds of a few steps running upstairs are heard.
"We can also have a nice big meal after that workout. Gives me ample time to show the place off while we wait. If you prefer the water flavored, we've also got some packets in the cabinets next to the fridge." Looking closer at the part with the said fridge closer, it actually seemed to have a door entering another room with plenty of training equipment on the inside. Seemed rather than this being just a weirdly set fridge it was more a refreshing center he had set up right next to the eventual work out chambers he'd have. Claran was actually inside, striking against some dummies with some equal dummy weapons. Behind a large see-through cube as he and the dummies also were blasting away at each other with some great power. Needed a place where more intense practice could happen.
Most the other things he'd run the Saiyan through were typical of a more high-up home. Nearly mansion, without all the wasted space on rooms that were never going to be used. A nice kitchen, housing for the crew, royal housing, and most importantly, the eating hall and restrooms. Except for that first little mess up with a column missing, most the rest of the build seemed to be perfect. Down the details on paintings and the texture of authentic wood. Some real chemistry fuckery had to happen to finish wood like this, something the prince wouldn't even be able to explain properly as they started to close the tour near the kitchen. Which smelled of a great aroma. In fact, there was chatter about in the dining hall as they'd turn from the main lobby into it.
"You know, if you fall back on training, the prince isn't going to need you! Did you see the two of them blast that mountain to a heap!?" Claran, resting in his tee and with a bath cloth around his neck seemed to have just gotten out of the shower as he was sitting across the table from the other two retainers and a random member of the crew fixing all the plates along and sitting next to them as well. Cook, most likely. They'd all notice the entrance of the others and the smirking Claran would wave casually towards them. Viola and Fara giving more proper bows.
"That was some good stuff, milord! Haven't seen anything like it outside your spars with daddy dearest! A whole mountain! Very impressive, both you and Sir Rutaba!" He'd exaggerate with his arms, the food just having been set out he hadn't dug in yet. The three others were in their seat just patiently waiting though, Viola having a groan as Claran's constant casual tone with the prince and guests. Here, they'd wait a moment while Luxain just chuckled a bit and offered to Rutaba a seat of his choice. Going to sit by his male retainer with a sigh of relief. There was plenty to eat by the looks of the table, but they would not be anticipating the black hole of a saiyan's stomach they had no clue about. Sure, there was still plenty, but it wasn't like... 10 servings worth.
"Please, feast. I like to treat allies. Especially strong warriors!" WC: 855 TWC: 9,454
Hearing the Elemi Prince speak of the place, it made the Saiyan chuckle lightly as he sounded as if this was all new to him as well! A tour for the both of them, huh? That would be nice as well. Nonetheless, Rutaba walked alongside the prince, looking around at the decor before looking on towards the fridge, taking the cold drink he was passed and just drinking it a bit passively. It seemed all races at least partook in this as well. A smile crossed his face as he continued on staring towards the Elemi as he heard some sounds upstairs. It seemed it was of no matter though, so Rutaba hardly took it to mind as he listened to what Luxain said next, where he'd respond. "Food, huh? Now you're talking! Haha... well, I'll certainly take you up on a meal any day, workout or not. Flavored water, though? I've never really tried it... but I've heard of it." he commented on the last bit a little casually as he honestly thought such a thing was unnecessary. A drink was a drink to him in the end!
Once he was able to see the training room, he would give a nod of approval as he thought owning a room like that was always nice, but he turned away immediately to continue getting the tour. Everything seemed nice for the most part, everything one would expect was in place! There were a few unnecessary things as well but that was down to the opinion of decoration and furnishing, nothing he could comment on per say. All of it would end at a wonderful kitchen though, the smell alone would make the Saiyan almost drift off to ignore where they were moving until he realized they were walking inside of it! At last!
Even though his insides were burning with joy at the thought of a wonderful kitchen in a place like this, he stayed as respectful as possible and smiled patiently as they walked inside, seeing the man who was training from before now inside talking. It was easy enough to ignore the passing comment on training and what they did to the mountain, as he felt everyone played their roles nicely. Sure, the Prince and the Saiyan were extreme powerhouses in this situation but that didn't mean they didn't need allies at all times. Seeing the three do their respective greetings, Rutaba would wave to Claran before turning to the two female retainers, giving them a proper bow in return.
The young man made another comment about what they did, the Saiyan looking a little embarrassed and waving his hands a bit. Maybe it wasn't exactly a good thing to say that it was a mountain... such an unimportant plateau as the one they were fighting one would be missed by only the Saiyans who wished they had been apart of the battle themselves. "C-Come on now, it was only a light sparring match surely." he tried to play it off as something much smaller, but the worry of it being bigger and out of control did give the Saiyan a soft twinge of worry. With that though, Rutaba would watch the Prince take a seat, before moving to sit down in an empty seat near anyone he could, rather than being away from them. He worried about making others uncomfortable with his presence but he still didn't want to be the odd one out. Once he got a chance to look around the table, however, he'd notice something missing... and once Luxain said to enjoy the feast he'd nod slowly. "Okay I'll dig in then!" he said this with a very happy smile on his face as he'd start to eat! But still, something about his eyes seemed... worried, as if there was something wrong. Where was the rest of the food?!
The two-toned man would just scoff and wave a hand dismissively as the Saiyan tried brushing off their destructive dance as anything less than a spectacular show. He was adamant to make the guest feel accomplished having met the prince 1 to 1 in such a dazzling performance. Luxain seemed to share the sentiment with a roll of his shoulder, proud of himself to have fought a strong warrior toe to toe like that. There was an odd thing about these two's relationship that came off more casual compared to the women retainers under Luxain. Before... Rutaba would have seen Claran just as propr. That was while he was in front of the crew, just outside the manor. But here, he was a lot more relaxed around his prince and guests. The light elemi himself not seem to mind or at least publically comment on it.
"Have a bit of pride in facing off against Luxain, good sir! You've shown an outside race proper power and sport!" They'd all start to chow down with the Saiyan making headway to gorging himself like a proper Saiyan. It took the group aback mostly, with the two guys looking more interested in the affair and the women a bit confused. Viola would be the first to comment on the rampant eating frenzy, noticing that the food was going by quick compared to the elemi and their human-like appetite and royal etiquette.
"I'm thinking we need more food. For all of us, of course. Cocuus! Come, we'll get half a dozen more courses served for our hungry guest!" The woman would take a stance and grasp the also standing crewman who had cooked the initial food, taking herself and him on back towards the kitchen where the clinks and clatter of food makin' were soon to follow them. Luxain would probably be the most at ease here and still eat, eyeing his other retainers with a little ire it seemed.
"The man is hungry, or perhaps his race is just this voracious at eating. It doesn't change anything, really. I might still follow the common... etiquette of fine dining, but I'd be the first to admit that outside the royalty of my planet, it serves little purpose. It's a mostly... old fashion thing, besides. One doesn't deserve respect for being good and proper eaters. Just, don't get it all over the floor sir." He'd offer an explanation and without worry to his other retainers, who'd eventually relent and continuing nibbling and nomming rather reserved. Well, kinda not for Claran, who instead just popped a big bottle of some sort of alcohol and gave it a big swig. It'd be a dozen or so minutes before more food would come on out for the Saiyan, so Luxain also decided to strike up a conversation. Talking between a bite of space duck.
"So, Rutaba, you said you were a part of the Sadal Defense Force, was it? Sounds like a world-wide effort, or perhaps a Galactic one with the way you offered that they'd help my cause and my Planet. Do you partake in anything outside of that? Any hobbies? Jobs? Got a love life?" He'd offer his ear rather calmly with a smile, letting the Saiyan ramble on if he wanted to. All to wait for the other meal to come out. Viola and the other man eventually coming back out witha cart full of trays, platters, and bowls of fruits, veggies, meats, and grains. Stacked well beyond what they initially had on the table initially. How the world they managed to get it all prepared so quickly was not evident, but Viola didn't seven seem to be breaking a sweat as she waved and bowed between all of them and started setting the table with the other.
"We've got some seconds, thirds, fourths, and about half a fifth here!"
Despite the tone of the moment, Rutaba couldn't help but look between the two men as they seemed so casual and lighthearted with one another. Perhaps that was the showing a well-cultivated friendship between the two of them, but he certainly didn't think he'd see such a thing between a Prince and his Retainer from a race that seemed so formal and knightly. The way they spoke seemed so formal and refined in a way as well, which made this all the more odd to the Saiyan himself. Thinking more on it, though, if he was to become the King of the Saiyans he still wanted to be seen as friendly and approachable, even casual, with some of his closer allies rather than seen as anything special. He couldn't help but give a soft smile seeing them interact like this before rubbing the back of his head once more once he got told to have a bit of pride. "You're right!" he gave a bit of a heartful chuckle before they moved on to the main course!
Eating like a true saiyan warrior was practically second nature at this point, so the confused and interested looks he was being given actually sort of made the Saiyan quite curious himself. Was he doing something odd to them? Though, after seeing Demalia eat perhaps his race was an odd outlier that blew through energy that quickly to need to eat like that. There was a scientific explanation for his behavior! Probably. Nonetheless, he'd look around to the others noticing one of the female retainers moving to the kitchen with the sound of more food being made with a bit of a worried look on his face.
It, at last, came to light that this was uncommon in a way once the Prince himself gave an explanation of sorts and talked to his retainers as well as the Saiyan, who rubbed the back of his head a bit more in an ashamed way. "Yeah... my race is actually quite known for our appetites. A smart tuffle once told me that it was probably because of how much energy my body expends when hyperactively training, so I have to take in a lot more food to process that energy! But... I don't entirely know what that means so I can't tell you more about that, except for the fact that I have no other explanation." he spoke with a bit of gusto about what Demalia had talked with him about when the serving sizes in his own restaurants were massive compared to the other worlds. But then he had a bit more to touch upon. "Oh and uh... I promise I won't get it everywhere. I'm just a big eater, not a barbarian~" Rutaba offered a lighthearted chuckle along with this as he never really found himself making a mess, even with the messier foods of various worlds he mostly just kept everything clean. At worst he had dirty bowls and plates from not cleaning those up, but those would be washed.
To keep things going a bit, the Prince also touched on a bit more which made Rutaba smile heartfully as he knew exactly what he wanted to say. His food was all finished by the time they had gotten to this point but he didn't look turned off in the slightest, so he answered immediately. "It is sort of hard to explain, but what I was taught in fighting academy, is that us Saiyan's are protector's of what is good and right, and our main job is to defeat evil across the universe! Trademark. Small joke aside, the SDF does whatever it can to stop atrocities from happening to anybody we can get to. We would have come to your aid far sooner... if we had known." the Peacekeeper's eyes fell a bit as he finished it all off, knowing that his claims probably sounded a little bit unrefined seeing as there was a great evil attacking their empire as they spoke here.
However, he knew he had to stick to his guns, so he shook his head. "In any case, we pride ourselves as the main defenders of this place. Not all Saiyan's join up of course... and there are old-fashioned Saiyans who can give us a bad rap because we have an innate lust for combat and fighting. An untrained Saiyan could easily be seen as a savage if left to their own devices, but a majority of us have pushed away from such things." he rolled over the idea of Saiyan heritage pretty simply. He too could have fallen to the chaos of this battle lust if it wasn't for his peacekeeper upbringing. But that was to be expected in this society run by a Defense Force!
That wasn't the end of what he had to touch upon, however, as the Prince brought up some more personal stuff as well which made him look down and tap the table they were at. "Hobbies... well, as you could tell from this meeting I like to get to know people quite a lot. Even off-duty I make it a habit to try and meet newcomers. Mostly to see if they are potential allies or here for trouble, though. I guess if you call training a hobby as well that could be one... I can't really say otherwise though, I've gotten called boring so yeah." he tapped his fingers a bit more on the table with a smile on his face, nodding as he skipped over the job part. "I do have a girlfriend, actually. She's the Tuffle I learn so much from. We hit it off fairly well..." he'd be happy being able to firmly say that the two of them had something together, but his eyes slowly drifted off towards the coming food that entered the room. That was quick! And there sure was a lot.
With that said, he gave a firm bow to Viola from his seat before eating once more, taking breaks to look at the others every now and then as he had no reason to want to leave just yet. But he did have to inquire a bit more towards Luxain. "What about you, Prince? Any hobbies you like to partake in? I'm sure as a Prince you have a lot of options for stuff to do! And do you have a love life of your own? Anybody catch your eye?" normally the Saiyan wasn't too interested about this sort of stuff, but the Prince of another culture was a big deal to learn from, so inquiring about hobbies and love life from their culture could be quite an experience. But he didn't exactly want to stop there, looking to the other retainers as well. "And how did you all come to be retainers of this fine Prince? I'm sure you all have quite the interesting stories to tell as well!" he gave them a bit of a smile before returning to his feast. Hearing from them would give him time to dig well into his meal.
The idea that Saiyans were the big furnaces that had to keep a lot of fuel in them to function was an interesting one. Usually, gorging like this made his own kinda fat. Which is really strange, considering they actually made substances with their powers besides just the strength to battle like the other species he has met thus far. Perhaps their own species, unaware to even the wisest, collected energy from their surroundings! Far fetched, as it seems the prince has been really unaffected by space travel, but there was still the thought to be had.
"Ahh, like an engine on Crystel! Imagine most people as small cruisers, and this hungry Saiyan here a large mothership! It'll have a lot more power behind it, but require a lot more to operate and move." Disregarding the weird pronunciation of what most would assume is just 'crystal', Claran was quick enough to muse out loud for all to hear, giving one of those cheeky taps on his chin and eyes glued to the table as he replicated the thinking man's sit. At this point, Viola would have been taking a seat back and silently scolding the improperness of this retainer still. Not in front of the guests. Instead, she'd indirectly challenge her contemporary with the explanation he decided to choose.
"You make it sound as if we're small and not comparable to them, even having just met them! I'd find a better analogy that doesn't make it seem like we're weak, especially in front of the prince, of all people! Who knows, maybe we're just the more energy efficient if we're going by that logic." The quieter redhead would just give a smirk between the two as their little squabble would go back and forth. Both older retainers giving back and forth 'oh yeah?'s, 'of course's, and 'are you sure about that?'s as they ate. Their little mockery of one another would more likely be ignored by the prince, however, who would be the one to properly listen and address the Saiyan warrior on some of his details. The light elemi hit the bullseye with the SDF, and wasn't so far off with assuming the man had some sort of hobby and girlfriend too. Anyone proper and well off with their strengths surely had these things to consider when they had free time!
"Ahh, so the Tuffle is both a textbook smartie and a great looking specimen. That's assuming your standards are refined that is. Any man such as yourself should have the greatest of wives beside him, at the very least. I myself wouldn't have it any other way." He'd lap up in between bites, having just spent through only about half of his own meal as the Saiyan was tearing through the line with the new food on the table. The meal would Rutaba for at least a few more minutes, being comparably bigger than the servings they initially had out. Training was the other thing brought up, and Luxain would just nod and relax even further in his seat. The Saiyan was being open enough with him, it wouldn't hurt to divulge his own hobbies and doings.
"Besides also training? I go through the hoops and trials of any decent to-be leader. Economics, battle and war strategy, surveying. I cover all my tracks very actively alongside any training I do. We've also got a thing on my planet called Griffon Jousting, highly recommend you give that a try or at least watch a tournament. I myself have won numerous times, but I think a lot that the lower knights and gifted among them take it easy on me due to my royal blood. I can always feel that among my kin, really. It's a reason I much enjoyed our fight." Someone to actually challenge him in strength, something even his best retainers seem to refuse him on or are unable to give. Really it was what he was missing in his life up to this point. Actual challenges that didn't outright kill him like what this witch would do if he came to her right now. No, he needed a strong partner to bounce off of, like Rutaba here. Not a moment passed that he'd smirk and laugh through his nose a bit in between bites and look the Saiyan over a bit. Amused.
"And if you caught on to what I said of your little Tuffle, you'll realize I'm far too picky for my own good. Nobody has really caught my eye in such ways. Terra forbid I'm eventually just forced to marry someone. Not to mention my selection seems limited now, even out in space. Don't think the family wants alien blood in the monarchy. Not that I'd obey that sentiment if I did find someone out in the stars. I'd be a king by then, what they have to say would be null." Even if there were a few others with similar power to him in government, it was one of the few things kings did not do to one another. Step on their own lives. It was perhaps the only reason Luxain was out here and not able to fight with his parents on the matter. They were in charge, and no other mortal on Matteria was to challenge them unless they wanted war. And you don't exactly war within the same Dominion, not for a long while.
They weren't barbarians.
"Claran here is an older childhood friend, Viola is a family retainer, brought before me all the way from my Great-Father, and the small one here is a new one I picked up for her talents. And inclusion, can't forget that! She's all about that fire, not mine or Viola's light." It was nice to press influence at the time, and admittedly she was a good bit stronger than the average foot soldier. Weakest of the three though. Claran was surprisingly close to Luxain in just power alone, so it was odd to actually hear of his exclusion from the group. Speaking of, that man would lean to the side and wrap a super casual arm around the prince's shoulders, taking him close into this half hug as he gulped down a bit more of these noodles he was almost selectively eating by themselves.
"Yup. Met when we were just in our double digits. He came around and bullied some of the other kids in a school carnival that had royalty come by, so I picked him up and made him take off with one of the exhibition griffons! Thing flew crazily with him for several Terrans before the guard could catch them in the sky and calm the feathered fuzzball. Should have seen him, he was traumatized!" A story which would get an eye roll and a hand tapping at the clasping one Claran had on his shoulder. A sort of 'no touching' gesture. Viola gave an audible sigh too.
"Right. And despite that, I've actually come to be one of the best at flying those beasts. So thank you, in hindsight. Now please don't bring up anything else that makes me-"
"Did you know this guy has some color blindness? Specifically, in his left eye, dunno why but- OOF" Luxain's other arm came back, dropping a fork and giving Claran a nice little jab in the ribs. Getting a soft wheeze and chuckle from him and the prince now adding his own ha has at his discomfort. Finally shrugging off the shoulder arm and looking back at Rutaba with a tap of his cheek.
"If he wasn't my retainer or a friend I'd probably have kicked him off planet long ago for his tongue." He'd jest and carry on feasting with his plate, now needing his own seconds as time came around to it. Everything quietened down between the group now too after Claran got ddistracted with the whole retainer bit. Viola keeping quieter now as the topic beforehand became derailed.
It seemed that two of the retainers would give their own interpretations of what the Saiyan said, not entirely sure who to side with if anybody! It was actually a little embarrassing to a small degree, making the Saiyan chuckle a little bit softly while rubbing the back of his head. Did he cause that...? Surely it was something more between the two of them, as the Prince seemed to relatively disregard it and the other retainer just smiled at the interaction. Was the relationship everyone had this strong that they could go back and forth like this and still work fine together? Who really knew. But regardless of that fact, the Saiyan would let both parties keep their own ideas of what the Saiyan could have possibly meant, turning back to the matter at hand with the Prince.
What the Prince said, however, wasn't so light as it'd make the Saiyan give a slight wave of his hand. "It has nothing to do with looks, for me. She is, by all means, a great looking girl but... even if she wasn't I think I'd still want her by my side." it seemed the Saiyan wanted to instantly dismiss the idea that the person he was with had to be great looking to be with him. There were so many things about Demalia that had gotten him hooked, and while she looked cute and he thought she was very pretty, that was hardly the first thing he thought of if he was asked what strung him along. "We aren't far along at all, so I don't know if I want to think about marriage anytime in the near future but... there is something that draws me to her. She is strong, sweet, but there's something more about her personality... she is really determined and shows so much passion for what she does. I guess you could say I am drawn to someone like that." he didn't really know all of what he was saying, but he had told her many times before that the passion and determination that burned in her eyes made him light up himself. If it was so noteworthy to the Saiyan, perhaps it was noteworthy to say why he wanted to be with her so much. There was genuine love there in his eyes, not just a lust to go after someone who looks good.
The rest of what the Prince had to say would highly appeal to Rutaba though, making the Saiyan stop whatever he was doing to focus entirely on the conversation at hand. This was the sort of thing he needed... something that he lacked when he said he wanted to be the leader of the SDF. For the time being, he did little to actually comment on it as he wanted to let the Prince continue on, which let on to another interesting note about the Prince's life. To the Saiyan, a battle where each person gave their all was fair game even among the higher-ups and leaders. It was near offensive for someone to go easy just because of rank or bloodline. To think that the Prince was given mostly drawback fights because of that blood, and feeling it always, no wonder he got such a rush from the battle Rutaba gave to him. But even then, what he had to focus on was what trials that Luxain had to go through as a to-be leader. Sure Rutaba had the good intentions and aspirations but he wasn't as fit for it... he hardly knew economics, he could work strategy into everything but commanding an entire group of people could be rough. It was all something he'd have to try to pick up on if he wanted to be a good leader.
The Saiyan started to nod along to what the Prince was saying when it came to how he felt. It was fair to not really meet anyone eye-catching, for the longest time Rutaba had no plans for any sorts of relationship. It sort of snuck up on him, and that was the funny thing. One day you could imagine yourself alone, with the next having someone fall onto your lap in your life. It was even more understandable for some sort of royal bloodline to deny laying with what would be called aliens. To him, that was a silly thought, but he was also with a Tuffle at the same time so perhaps it was a bias thought. It was good that Luxain didn't care to obey such a thing, however, he knew to carry his life in his own hands. "That is a good way to live your life, Prince Luxain. I hope you find someone good for you once the time is right!" he gave a soft smile, nodding a bit more to himself as he felt that it was nice to have such a casual little conversation piece to set the mood.
It was time to learn a little bit more about the others now, the retainers all seemed fairly natural for the part, aside from the Claran fellow. The whole interaction between him and Luxain was priceless, and it made Rutaba just give the two of them a very light smile that showed he liked seeing people interact like this. There was a reason the two of them were still together all the way to this day, they had reached the peak state of friendship where you try to embarrass and tease each other to get that bit of fun in, knowing each other so well. It was honestly quite a beautiful sight to see. "You two were meant to be friends, I can see it." the Saiyan would add this on very matter-of-factly, not minding the way the topic was derailed as he seemed just content on seeing them all like this.
Despite having more servings to contend with compared to the others, the Saiyan still finished up quite quickly between all of their talking to the point he'd sit back in his chair. By that point he was obviously satisfied with the utter feast he was given, finding it very charitable of these new people to accept him in like this. "Now that we have that done, how about I ask something a bit different... you could call it a bit of strategy since I want to help you all in the future. What is your homeworld like? Anything notable to say about it? I want to be prepared for whatever it is that you guys are facing but... for me, it will be fighting in an unknown land. Sorry if it sounds like prying... I just want to provide the best aid that I can. I am a Peacekeeper first and foremost, after all." the tone in his voice seemed to shift at this point to be more dedicated to the new topic at hand. Everything else was table setting for all of them to get used to him a bit more since he had barely met them all today. But now he needed to get into what he was able to mention before. Looking to the future to help with this strange threat.
