Today was the day. Sakana had capsulized her home in one of those neat little capsule thingies. The Oni had successfully convinced her boss to give her some vacation days, but the fish Oni did not specify where. Where was she headed? To the living world. She was not sure where her portal would take her when it was at full power, but maybe if she just put enough force into it to break through the barrier between the realms, much like some Souls would when they escaped the Otherworlds. There were few cases of Onis escaping their home realm, but it was possible. Even if it would be risky, Sakana was ready to take that chance. Otherworld had lost it's luster long ago for the blue and red Oni. She travelled nearly every inch, save for the legendary realms of the Kais. But she'd get their training someday! Nonetheless, it was time to break the vale and head to the living worlds. Where she would end up was a mystery. She could suffocate in the void of space, or on a barren planet with no atmosphere, or maybe even poof straight onto a star. But maybe, maybe, she would be whisked away to a hospitable planet. It was essentially a game of russian roulette, but Sakana would still be able to escape is she died- the integrator had helped many other souls return to life in the past behind her advisor's backs.
Sakana wore her usual tank top and jeans, but sported a belt with numerous capsules attached to it. She had her house, her armor, clothes, a load of food he binge bought at the store, and some spare cash. Yup, that should do it. But nonetheless, it was time to break free and finally do something worthwhile with her vacation days. Sneaking off to a rather secluded part of the Upper Worlds, Sakana scanned her surroundings, but was glad to see no souls around. Good. It would be best to make this quick. Sakana held her webbed hands forward, ki crackling around them as a light blue ring was fired forward. The center began to ripple and swirl like a whirlpool, but the ring of Ki remained hollow in the middle, despite the air being distorted. Sakana planted her feet in the ground as she poured every last ounce of her energy into the hoop. It rippled violently as the ground shook a little. Some pebbles even began to float in the air because of the distortion. The disc of Ki swirled as sparks of light flashed inside of it and some electricity flew out. One of the bolts gave Sakana a little shock, but her focus was unwavering. With one last roar, the blue Oni poured whatever Ki she had left in her body into the portal. And with one final shine, Sakana's vision went white from the flare emitted by the portal.
When the light dispelled, Sakana panted as she looked at her spawned portal. It was a dark black color- the inside of it looked like he void of space itself. Some images would flash inside of it- one of a green and blue land, a wasteland with a red sky, and an icy planet with a large tree were a few of the images she could identify. Sucking in her breath, Sakana stood with a slouch with her wavering breaths. Was that the living world? Finally. FINALLY! She beamed between breaths as the redhead stared at her reflection on the warp's surface. Her heart was pounding and her stomach was full of butterflies, a feeling she had not felt in so long. The warp began to waver as it slowly shrank, causing the blue Oni's eyes to widen. Well, shit. It was now or never, there was no time to catch her breath. Using her remaining energy to dash forward and leap through the hoop, Sakana's body had passed through the portal just after it faded.
After that, it was a whirl of pain and pokes to her body. The pressure inside the portal pushed the Oni's body, causing Sakana to let out a yell. Oh god, he never expect it to be painful. It felt like every part of her body was being jabbed with knives. Her pupil expanded and contracted as her vision blurred and swirled, but a splash of color soon came to her eyesight when the pain stopped. Hitting solid ground, Sakana didn't even let out a noise as her bruised and burnt body was tossed against the ground below. Her eyes drifted up to the dark, night sky above as she smiled. " F...finally... " Sakana spoke, barely hanging onto consciousness. She was free. Free from the endless loop of life in the otherworld, and free to take her own path now.

[ST-3][DIMENSIONAL WARP]: A technique fabled among Onis, and the final stage of the Subspace Warp. It allows passage to and fro Otherworld and the Living Worlds, but it is very taxing on Sakana's body. It can only be used twice a month, if it is passed through a third time, death is ensured. Sakana can also use this to travel to another distant planet instead of Otherworld, but it will still use one of the two uses the technique has for a month. Nobody else can pass through the portal but Sakana. If anyone else tries to pass through the portal to Otherworld, they will be spit right back out of the warp. While Sakana can teach the previous two versions of this technique to others, the Temporal and Subspace warps, only fellow Onis are capable of summoning the Dimensional Warp.
