The demon boy's face would flush slightly red, he was surprised at Atsuko's interest in coming to his home, nobody had ever before asked to go to his home in the past, and this was certainly a different conversation to be in altogether now. He just blushes a bit more while shaking his head, he was happy to be known as a friend to her, and he was even happier to hear her next words talking about how her order might disagree with her thoughts of him, but she seemed absolutely against that possible disagreement, that really relaxed him and made him happy. "Hmmm, I would have no qualms with bringing you to my home, just uh... don't mind my mother too much about what she says, she can be a little assuming some times, but she is really nice" the boy would say, looking off in the direction that his home should be from here. He would shake his head again before adding on "But yeah, without a doubt in my mind, I see you as one of, if not my closest friend at this point... and there's no way I would want to fight you, I would much prefer to fight by your side, that's why I only playfully asked what would happen if I fought you instead of complying for spending time together." he would say, just smiling to himself down at the ground.
Every word he spoke was the truth, and he didn't feel a single bit of regret that they were. He was content with the time he was spending with his friend, and hoped that it would be able to last for a longer while before ending, and he also hoped that it could pick back up again some other time, as losing touch with a friend is always a sad sight to see. He didn't know why he was thinking so harshly, his mind was thinking of bad things again, so he just shook his head and tried to get them out of his head. He was glad that he ran into Atsuko today, his mood flipped entirely right side up, as the day started with a gloomy outlook on life, and was currently smiles and intent listening, it was certainly a change for the better, and he was thankful that it happened.
He didn't know what would have happened to him if his anger kept growing, but there was no doubt that he would have been completely shut off from a chance like this, completely void of emotion and possibly giving in to the dark energies circling around inside him, that were tame now. If that other path would have happened... he would have most likely been staring down Atsuko in a battlefield one day, their lineages catching up to them in a negative light. This path was a much better one, a change could come about from this. "Hey... Atsuko, do you think that this... whats happening between us, could be a change, even if its a small one that needs to expand first? Order and Demons getting along... as friends instead of enemies, I know it sounds optimistic to think of it as that, but wouldn't it be great if somehow it did end up as that?" Bernael would ask, seeing if his friend possibly had the same positive outlook on what was going on as he did. He didn't mind if it turned out to be the exact opposite, but a little but of hope in his mind couldn't hurt could it? He would just keep walking along, hoping that Atsuko's response would be something in a positive light as well.
Atsuko took notice of the fact that his face had just turned red. Though she didn't entirely understand why, the concepts of romance weren't exactly lost on her. But... She could safely say that she was no expert. The idea of bringing someone home to introduce them to your parents being a thing that new couples did was an unknown concept to her. Though she didn't dwell on it for very long, as Bernael didn't seem opposed to the idea of introducing the two someday. Perfect! So they had more plans to hang out in the future, that was always good!
He then confirmed that he did feel the same way. So it was a mutual friendship that they shared now, Atsuko liked this quite a lot. More than just help people, becoming friends with them would be nice too... She didn't expect to be able to pull that off with everyone, of course. Inexperienced she might be, but she wasn't quite that clueless. It still wasn't something bad to shoot for, though... Their walk through the Forest had proven so uneventful that it had been practically taken over by conversation. Atsuko couldn't really bring herself to complain about that.
It got dreadfully boring to wander around alone, no one to share thoughts with. She almost didn't even want to train alone again, but the Albino Saiyan had come to terms with the fact that it would be unavoidable in some situations. There would be times where she would need to get stronger, and fast. And her allies may be busy with something else at the time. Before her thoughts ran on for too much longer, Bernael then asked her an interesting question. About the standing relations between her Order and Demons as a whole. It was a sensitive issue, and she pondered it over for a moment...
"Honestly? I think it's hard to say. Not all Demons are evil, but there are plenty that paint them in a bad light. Whatever happened that caused my Order to form so long ago... It must have been terrible, and there may still be Demons like that.", she explained. Though to be entirely honest, she didn't like how it was operating in such a black and white stance... She hoped that her Order would see reason if it ever came to something like that. As she mused on that, she then began to speak once more.
"I'd hope that they could come to operate on a case by case basis. Not all Demons are bad, and not all Demons are good. So we do what we must with the Demons are bad... And we help the ones that are perhaps just lost and confused, like you were.", the Knight stated. It was very ideal, and some would perhaps call it foolish. But that was what she genuinely hoped. Bernael served as living proof. There were certain to be other Demons that were just trying to make the best of it. Like anyone else in life...
Maybe she would meet them one day, and maybe they would be able to work towards resolving that issue. But one thing was for certain; at the moment there was no Age of Demons that threatened to overtake Humanity and it's home. For the moment, that was enough. If there really was anything else that was needed, the Albino Saiyan would just have to tackle it as it came. Was it foolish to think that both sides could be reasoned with? Perhaps. The Knight had little choice but to set aside such thoughts for now, lest they ruin her mood.

Satisfied, Bernael would nod, accepting her answer as it was definitely more truthful than anything else. He understood what she was saying, and truly wanted her hopes to come true, as they sounded very beneficial for the others out there, the others like him that didn't have to be put in a bad light for the large populous' actions. However, he had one very pressing matter that he wanted to ask, it was a question that was already talked about in the past, from Atsuko to him, but he wasn't sure how this question would work out for him, but he wanted to attempt to try it. "Hey uh, do you think I would be able to go... to where you lived? I would follow any protocols and any guidelines you would lay out for me, like not saying I am a demon, not talking to specific people, not going into certain area's without doing this, whatever you would need of me." Bernael would ask, keeping a normal, straight face as he wanted a true answer out of Atsuko, with true restrictions and needs.
"I perfectly understand if there's absolutely no way that I can, and if its supposed to be a secret location and I am not allowed and such. I just wanted to know if I could because of the, entire you expressing a want to come over, so I thought I would try my hand at coming over as well, so please don't give me an answer that's to make me feel good about it, please give me the flat out, blunt, honest truth of if I can come over, and what I'd need to follow to do so." was all Bernael would add on as he went back to a smile right after. He sort of hoped that it would be accepted, that he could see the place Atsuko grew up in, but he had his minor doubts, but he supposed that only time and Atsuko's response would tell. Bernael would sit in silence for only a half second before he spoke up again, for one last bit of gratitude Atsuko's way for all she had done that day "And uh, really quick before you answer, thank you for all this time you spent with me so far today, its been really worth while, I can really feel it." and just like that, he finally shut his mouth and decided to stay quiet to give Atsuko time to think. If she needed any, that is, he was still unsure what her answer would be, but he would accept it either way, as he respected his friends privacy, and her homes rules. If it turned out that he could come, that was great! If it turned out that he wasn't allowed at all, it would be perfectly fine as well. Least that's what he was thinking to himself as he waited.
Bernael then had a question to ask of the Albino Saiyan. It was one that she had, oddly enough, asked him. The roles had been swapped, and she did have to think carefully on it. He was part demon... How would they react? Would she have to defend him when they learned? Would it be right for her to do that? Would the Saiyan be banished from the Order? Her mind raced with the what-ifs and the possibilities. There wasn't really an easy answer. She wasn't going to lie to Bernael... Instead, she was going to speak exactly as she felt was right.
"I would need to speak with them first. We are generally a peaceful group, but I must be certain that they do not react blindly to what they would consider 'enemies'.", the Albino Saiyan began her response. "I'd like for you to be able to come over. But I want it to be safe for you, too. And I want them to understand that I'm not betraying them, or that I've been corrupted or some nonsense like that... It's a little more tricky than I would like it to be.", she added. And then pondered over what to say next.
"I'll let you know when I've spoken to them, as well as whether or not you can visit. I feel as though they would say yes... But I wish to be certain of it, first.", she finished. The Albino Saiyan conveniently danced around the fact that by opening up such a conversation with her Order could prove just as risky for herself. But that wasn't something for Bernael to be concerned with, she was capable of defending herself if it came to that. And if they proved to be such a hateful group, then honestly... The Saiyan didn't want anything to do with them.
She agreed with how they raised her, and a lot of their views. But if they were going to answer Bernael, and others like him with war and genocide... It didn't sit well with her just to think about it. This was the first time she began to consider the possibility that it was more than just a case of 'we're right, they're wrong'. Every side has it's points and it's flaws. Atsuko couldn't make any sense of it in the rush of things. Perhaps she just needed to set it aside and then meditate on it later.
So she shook her head slightly, smiling once more. "Anyway, where would you like to go next, Bernael? We have a pretty large world to go wherever we please.", she then inquired, changing the subject for the moment. Their walk had finally brought the two to the edge of the Forest. Which seemed to be perfect timing! Seemingly out of things to discuss, and now it was time to figure out where their journey was going to take them next. At least they had the advantage of having travel company, for once. Rather than setting off in separate directions...
