The room was completely quiet, not a sound escaped from the rushing waterfall, or the ticking clock, or even Beerus' alarm clocks. There was absolutely nothing. There wasn't a thing that could disturb Lord Lagerus' slumber. She was retired after-all, there was no need for her to be disturbed. She had been an excellent god of destruction a couple million years ago, it was time to let her younger brother, Beerus handle the Universe in her absence. It was an absolutely wonderful slumber, filled with many dreams of events that happened across the stars. For someone who was dead to the universe, Lord Lagerus knew absolutely everything about every major event in the world. Everything from the earliest moments of Majin Buu, to the Demons that once rules the southern Galaxy. In more recent times there was the rise and fall of Frieza as well as his clan, the change of heart of the tyrannical beast Majin Buu, the Destruction of the Supreme Kai's...
Yet still, nothing would wake her from her slumber. That was, until one man returned to her sleeping rock once more.
"Lord Lagerus" It was Whis, the sound of his voice immediately caused the God of Destruction to open her eyes, yawning widely as her tail stretched out behind her, only to curl up around herself once more. How long had she been asleep for..? Surely it wasn't her turn to return and be a destroyer again. No Beerus still had quite a while to go. Her eyes shifted sideways, clearly unimpressed with the man that had woken her up with nothing but her name and title.
"Whiiiiiis. It's far too early to be awake. Do not disturb me... Go bother Beerus." She would say with a flick of her paw, waving his away as another large yawn over-took her. She would groan as she nuzzled back into a ball to make herself more comfortable. However, it seemed Whis had come prepared for her refusal to wake. The smell of cooked fish filled the air suddenly, causing her ears to perk up and her tongue to lick her chops. She pushed herself up onto her hands and knees, sniffing at the with now closed eyes. She would follow her nose until she reached the end of her sleeping rock, falling over without any worries, and falling down, down down into the waterbed of the water fall.
"C-COLD" She shrieked, a hiss escaping her lips as she jumped out of the pull, staggering as she tripped over the rocks around it. She was about to fall headfirst until she turned it into a tumble, rolling right back up to her feet, a groggy yet irritated look on her face as she looked up towards Whis.
Yanagi was taking his time, meditating on a rock within the Upper Worlds, where good souls would go to relax, where other Shinjin casually relaxed, went to study, and many other things. He looked calm, happy almost... as if he was in complete solitude from the rest of the universe. No outside noise went into his ears for him to listen to, he was like a tree in a forest, forever resting and awaiting its time. But of course that was all on the outside, on the inside he was using dimensional telepathy to go peaking around Earth, any casual person that was listening to rock was his target and he was mentally rocking out along with them. If he could he would be there right next to them, singing along. Lately as well, due to the long time to develop, he started to learn musical culture as a whole, Pop, Rap, anything he could get his ears listening to he would be right along, his tastes always loving good rock however. "Awwwww yes. Drift slowly, into the niiii-"
But suddenly, his relaxation was broken when he felt something awaken. Someone he knew of but never was around for exactly, he was far too young to be along with all of those people from the past era's, however the extended knowledge of Kai's, and his power of sense and telepathy. It seems that Lord Lagerus was re-awakening, now of all times too! "OHHH NOOOOOOOOO!!!! That, can't be gooooood~" he would shout all of a sudden, no longer being able to hear music due to his sense being on the reawakening of the old god of destruction. His visor shades popped off and his red eyes would pierce the heavens themselves as he was shivering and shaking. Little comedic sweat beads rolling down from his forehead almost as if they were being created out of thin air.
He wanted to be the Kai of the North Quadrant, and he was one of the strongest, if not the strongest Shinjin around at the time from what he could sense through other world. He needed to get connected with such a being if he was to be a Kai... even if the Previous God of Destruction would just know him in name eventually and never care about his existence... he needed to introduce himself yeah? Or would that be way too much out of his league? Oh well, there was no point in not trying! "My one shot, my one chance~ Here it goes, or else I'll blow away in the wind, like a used... paper bag~" he would say, sort of softly to himself before pushing out with his telepathy, sort of putting his words into the mind of Lagerus herself while he would slowly realize how bad of a plan it was, but he couldn't admit that! She would hear it!
『Yo! Lagerus-sama~ I see you have come back to us of the... well, NOT mortal realm~ I hope your divine slumber, proved you a great service~』 Yanagi would transmit this message, trying his best to sound normal but still talking with his mannerisms at times, he didn't want to but it was a habit at this point. 『My name, does not matter! For I am but a meaningless fly, in the ocean of greatness that is your being~ Oh how great and wonderful it must be, for you to reawaken, and grace us... with your presence~』 he sounded like an idiot kissing somebodies butt but that was something he needed to be.
With that, he would sit there for a moment, nodding his head. He was done with his message but he'd break for a moment to quiver. "OHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOO! I didn't offer her a fine meal!" he felt like he was dead, but maybe he was safe....... maybe.

The Supreme Kai of the East was busy at work on his new eye since he had lost it during that battle, if you could even call it such a one-sided fight a battle, with the aberration known as Jarvis aka Caeser. The fact that the bastard had unlocked that damnable Super Saiyan Rose form... there had to be some way to completely obliterate him. Of course such thoughts were unbecoming of a Kaioshin, since it was his task and duty to look after, nurture and protect life... But he was damned if he was going to just let that bastard do whatever the hell he wanted in the living realm.
Of course, first he had to restore his full vision. Raising a continent to the surface of the ocean was one thing, that was just simple gravimetric and tectonic shifting. An eyeball however was a far more delicate and intricate procedure, especially if he didn't want it to itch afterwards either. He was going to be stuck with it for quite some time after all, and the Supreme Kai of the East had enough irritants going on for him right now without adding a constant physical one to the list.
Speaking of irritants however, he stopped his work when he sensed a monumental power stirring... one that caused his remaining eye to widen in shock and dread. "She's waking up..." said Mar softly to himself, as if she could hear him over such a vast distance between them. He quickly put his work in progress on ice, metaphorically and magically speaking, covered his empty socket with an eyepatch and was about to transport himself there when he stopped. A God of Destruction waking up was usually very cranky first thing... and he had no desire right now to be obliterated, even if it were by accident.
Suddenly transporting himself there without something to swiftly appease her would be a very bad move on his part... he had to fetch something that would work in his favour of not getting destroyed. But what could he bring her? He couldn't just go to Earth and fetch the food from there... plus Mar couldn't remember if Lagerus held the same desires as Beerus had done. For all the Supreme Kai of the East could vaguely recall, she may even have a bland palette, or prefer the presence of squishy cuddly toys... or something else entirely. He had never met this God of Destruction, since she'd pretty much been asleep for all of Beerus' reign... last thing Mar wanted to do was offend her.
But how could he avoid such a fate, if he didn't even know what would or wouldn't offend her in the first place?! All of this on top of the nonsense with the damned Saiyans, and the Cerulean Empire and everything else going on in the galaxy... Mar made the only decision he felt he could do in this situation. He went back to work on his new eyeball.
- Ho ho ho! But Lord Beerus is no longer alive, did you forget, Lord Lagerus? Still, this pizza is deeeeelicious! You should probably try it! - Whis said with his carefree tone. Then, the poweful being waited for the new God of Destruction to fully wake up and slowly approached. - Since you are awake, we should probably go visit the Kaioshin. I've learned that one of them died a while a go! That's quite troublesome, isn't it? - Whis said, in a more serious tone, as if to alert Lord Lagerus that something off was happening and maybe he should take responsability. - After all, Lord Beerus was the strongest and, yet, he lost his life because he was careless with the Kaioshin, ain't that right? - he added.
Lord Lagerus groaned as she shook her body vigurously, getting rid of the water that still clung to her fur. For the moment she was wearing nothing but her pajamas which consisted of a large whilte T shirt that covered three quarters of her figure and some fluffy purple pants to keep her legs toasty. This wouldn't do at all... with a snap of her fingers, Lord Lagerus materialized new clothing onto her form. She looked as if she would be getting ready for a business meeting. She was now in black dress pants along with a comfortably fitting 'tux' top. Her neck was covered with a pale shawl adorned with all sorts of jewels. Earrings even appeared in her large pointed ears.
She would paw at her face to wipe the sleep from her eyes as she listened to Whis fill her in on what had happened and why she had re-awakened. It seemed her little brother was dead, that alone was a shock to the god of Destruction. How could someone so powerful be defeated? Was there really someone so powerful that they could defeat a god of destruction? Or maybe the god of everything... no no Beerus knew his place and wouldn't irritate their master like that. The truth was then revealed as Whis informed her that one of the Kai's had been killed. Well now... THAT was interesting... it seemed the Kai Beerus was tied too perished, and in turn removed Beerus from existence. It was truly unfortunate, though it didn't mean that Beerus was dead per se...
All of a sudden though, there was a loud noise ringing in the god's ear, a Kai by the sounds of it that deemed it necessary to welcome her as she awoke! And before she even had breakfast! How rude! The god would growl lowly as she stormed up to Whis, snatching the tasty smelling anchovie topped pizza and devouring it within seconds.
"We're making a pit stop first Whis..." She instructed her partner, standing next to him as he gave Whis the instructions on exactly where they would be heading... Their first stop, would be where Yanagi's telepathic signal led them too. They would appear seemingly out of thin air next to the Kai. The god of destruction clearly unimpressed as her tail flew forward to slap the Kai in the cheeck.
"That's annoying Kai fly. Next time you greet me, you had best offer me proper tribute." She would growl, stepping forward and grabbing the Kai by the back of the neck, before the three of them vanished once more, travelling through space towards the sacred world of the Kai's. It didn't take them very long to get there at all, as it was much faster to reach any after life location than it was to reach anything in the living world.
With a swirl of light Lagerus, Whis and Yanagi appeared on the sacred world, more specifically on Mar's planet as he was the easiest of them to find.
"Oh how boring..." Lord Lagerous would grumble as she looked around the planet, tossing Yanagi aside now that they had reached their destination.
"The Kai's have really lost their flare over the last couple million years..." She didn't bother to move, fully expecting the Supreme Kai of this regent to come running as soon as her power was felt there. Surely, he had sensed her coming regardless.
Yanagi was still worrying about if he messed up, and how safe exactly he was, until out of nowhere the God of Destruction would fling her tail towards the poor, unaware Kai. He was struck in the cheek and knocked back by the overwhelming strength of the God. "Whooooa! That's so not cool~" he would say out in a rhythmical voice as he twitched on the ground, sort of recovering from the wake up hit as he listened to the words of the God of Destruction, quickly fixing himself into a double knee'd kneel before her. "Oh! How disgraceful of me Lagerus-sama! I promise, if I shall ever address you again after this point, only the most delectable of meals will be prepared for you, well before I even think of contacting your divine self!" he was trying to make the most of it, but when he was picked up by the back of his neck, he felt extreme distress.
He was going to get destroyed by the god of destruction wasn't he! This was going to be it, right? He never got to make it to the position of Kai, he never got to become the god of rock, or even above that, the God of Music in general! Yanagi wanted to train many pupils and meet many fighters, all the while floating through the rivers of life to the final destination that would finally claim him, but not this soon. "Oh noooo! My thread, snipped so short, tied along the finger of death so soooon?! What a gloom ending for the heroooo!" he'd shout out as they all disappeared. He didn't realize at first that they were just going somewhere, he honestly didn't know why he was getting picked up and brought with them, he was just a normal Shinjin but honestly, how could the Shinjin complain about being alive even if he was being dragged along with her.
When he was tossed aside however, he would sort of feel around, feeling his face quickly and then reaching and looking above his head, no sight of the Halo he had expected to have after that situation. Yanagi would collapse on the ground, holding it and wiggling a bit. "Oh sweet, sweet ground. I thought I was taken from thee, but our reunion is one so bitter-sweet~" he would sigh as he nuzzled the ground. Yanagi's visor stayed on the entire time, sort of like it was a part of his being for the time being as he just kept knocking his face and the visor itself against the ground from how hard he was thanking it for being there.
However at the same time, Yanagi was confused, as he looked around. This was the Sacred World where the Kaioshin spent their time watching over the universe. Surely the God of Destruction was mistaken bringing him along here after his punishment, unless he was being punished by the Supreme Kais as well. "I feel honored to accompany you here, Lagerus-sama~ But my place is among the normal Shinjin, not the Supreme Kais, perhaps I can... go back?" he wondered if he was allowed to leave but honestly it was a long shot, maybe he was destined to get punished here, or maybe he should just shut up and stay back... both ideas came to him but he was curious either way.
Mar flinched as he felt the God of Destruction approaching his world, the world which held but a single island and the continent nearby he had raised for Tomoroko's training, with nought else but water as far as the eye could see, sighing as he once more put his new eye on ice before stepping out of his room to greet them... The Eastern Supreme Kai did raise an eyebrow though at the presence of one of the lesser Kai's with the God of Destruction before giving a respectful bow towards the canine-like deity.
"Apologies for not properly preparing for your arrival Lord Lagerus." he apologised before rubbing the eyepatch covering his empty eye socket. "I was a little occupied trying to create a new eyeball for myself following an... altercation in the Living Realm." the Supreme Kai of the East explained, hoping it would suffice for the time being. "In all honesty, I'm not even sure what I would have prepared in the first place. You've never actually been awake before as far as I can recall." he admitted.
"I would not wish to offend your palate by accident after you had just woken up. A bad meal being the first thing you taste? Unthinkable." said Mar before shaking his head slightly. "But, I'm rambling. May I inquire as to the reason for this visit Lord Lagerus? My home seems a little out of the way for you to visit on a whim." asked the Supreme Kai of the East, still wondering why she'd brought with her this random Kai. Please don't tell me he tried to contact her immediately after she'd just woken up? Idiot. he mentally groaned.
As the pizza was snatched from his hands, Whis' eyes grew wide as a saddened expression crossed his features.
"Hey! My lord that's hardly fair!" He protested against the deities actions as be watched his deliscious lunch eaten in one fell swoop. He sighed before hearing that Lagerus wanted to make a pit stop before their first official destination. " where am I taking us exactly? Oh? Oh dear, very well" He said just as light envelopped both of them. With a silent command Whisbegan transporting them towards the after-life world.
Once there the events happened rather quickly and Whis didn't even deem it necessary to say anything. Judging by lord Lagerus' actions this fool must have tried To contact her right after waking up... he wondered just what it was the God of Destruction had planned for him...
When Whis and Lagerus finally arrived on the planet of the kais he took a deep breath before taking in the tiny planet and its one eyed Kai. He did explain his appearance, and this caused him to raise an eyebrow.
"The situation in the living realm is hardly worth the death of two Kai's..."
Lord Lagerus couldn't help but groan as the Kai in training... or whatever he was didn't seem to shut up, wailing on about his demise and then swearing to never bother her again... however, he was doing just that. It took every ounce of control the God of Destruction had not to obliterate him where he stood. The reasoning for her restraint? Well, she wasn't exactly about to reveal that to anyone.
"Shut up... just shut up. Don't talk, stay there" Lagerus ordered Yanagi, firing off a death glare towards the Kai before turning her attention to the Supreme Kai that now approached him. Whis knew a lot more of the situation t hand than she did, and by his words to Mar it wasn't difficult to start piecing together why it was she had re-awakened after millions of years.
"Ohh... So you're the Supreme Kai of the East hunh? A little more... ragged than your predecessors..." She would begin, a sigh escaping her lips as the eyepatch, and missing eye was pointed out to her. Well, it seemed Whis didn't think what was happening in the living world was worth their involvement if it was about to cost them two Supreme Kai's... She wondered just what was going on... who she had to destroy to stop this threat to the Kai's.
"I haven't felt the presence of a living Supreme Northern Kai for some time. I assume that's why my brother has stopped existing... Tell me, exactly what has been going on to warrant his death and your mutilation? It must be pretty important for him to wake me up." She asked, approaching Mar now as she seemed to be analyzing his features quite closely. He did look very different than the Kai's of old... He dressed like a common Kai, with very limited jewels beyond the potara earrings... The Kai's she had been used too were usually adorned in many kinds of riches to show how far above the others they were. They were vane, but Lagerus had come to enjoy that.
"Oh, as for him... and your punishment for not having anything ready for him. He will stay here and serve under you. You are not to train him. He is simply to cook. Every single meal. I expect him to have something extravagant ready for me the next time he so much as thinks about me." She informed both of them, looking from one to the other as if daring either of them to protest against her order.
Mar listened to both the angel Whis and the God of Destruction speak, the fact that Whis didn't seem to consider that the threat was that grave caused the Eastern Supreme Kai's face to darken slightly before Lord Lagerus asked him for an update. "Well the short version is that one Saiyan hybrid in particular is screwing things up for the universe in a massive way." The Supreme Kai of the East surmised.
"Long version? A Saiyan Brenchian hybrid by the name of Jarvis decided it would be a great idea to drink of the Demonic Waters of Makai, after having formed an alliance with the Demon Queen, which is when he killed the Northern Supreme Kai when he and Western Supreme Kai tried to stop the Evil Sorcerer powers from resurfacing." Mar said before he continued on.
"Jarvis then took over Vegeta in a brutal massacre, with his queen attaining the powers of the Legendary Super Saiyan soon after, and he then used Earth's Dragon Balls to give himself all the powers of a Kaioshin, resulting in an abomination of a Makaioshin Saiyan Brenchian entity that is even as we speak proclaiming himself to be the God King of the Universe by the name of Caeser." explained Mar before he continued on.
"He is also going around blowing up planets without any regard if they don't immediately submit to him, and has just recently revealed that he can go Super Saiyan Rosé whilst destroying Kanassa, which I'm sure Lord Whis you remember the last time that form occured, which I found out and only barely managed to escape from on Kanassa due to a splitting technique at the last minute. Not without cost however." he said, pointing to his missing eyeball.
"Oh and he plans to try and kick the All King Zeno's ass if he ever somehow manages to meet him, because he genuinely believes that he is the strongest entity in all of creation and that everything should kneel before him. So, yeah... that's an issue we should be concerned with." the Supreme Kai of the East said, explaining the situation to the two entities.
"There is some good news though as he doesn't seem to be aware of the Super Dragon Balls yet, or figured out how to travel to the Otherworld of his own volition, otherwise I very much doubt we'd be having this conversation right now." finished the Eastern Supreme Kai with his little exposition dump for both Whis and the God Of Destruction. He realised that his tone of voice during the most part of that speech was probably not the most... polite and he quickly bowed before the Destruction Deity. "Apologies... it's been rather stressful lately as you can probably imagine."
When Mar learned that Yanagi's punishment for disturbing the God of Destruction, and his own for not having anything prepared... was that Yanagi was going to be staying with him, and going to be forced into being his cook? The Supreme Kai considered the Saiyan Tomoroko that was trainig with him, and winced slightly at Yanagi's fate. Poor bastards been given an even worse punishment than Lagerus probably intended. Mar thought to himself, as he thought about the infamous Saiyan appetite.
"The Dragonballs at work again I see. Oh my." Even after Mar's long and short explanation of the situation Whis didn't seem to be bothered by the scenario at all. Sure it was within the dragon's power to grant god like strength, a strength to match the Kai's themselves! The dragon however, was unable to grant them the powers of a god of destruction, he had been sure to have several chats with the various dragon's over the years, ensuring that this was so. It was a part of his duties after-all.
To this however, Whis fell silent, instead remaining in his position beside Lord Lagerus, staff in hand as he waited to hear what her words on the situation were. He was interested to see if she would take action against this saiyan hybrid. The saiyans were a race that highly interested Lord Beerus after-all.
Lagerus would close the gap between herself and Mar as he explained the short version of what was happening down in the living realm. She listened to him silently, but still reached up to cup her hand under Mar's chin, tilting his head up so that the two would be staring into each other's eyes for a brief moment. It was uncertain what Lagerus was doing, but she was taking in the full extent of the damage done to his eye, using the brief moment of touch to see through him, what this grand enemy was like.
"Well, I suppose this does sound serious enough, although I have to commend him on his delightful tastes." She would state as she let go of Mar's chin, moving away from him and once more going to stand next to Whis. There was a long silence, and the only movement then was Lagerus' tail moving from side to side. When she finally did speak it might not have been what Mar was expecting.
"I'll pay him a visit then! Hm yes I think that's fair, and I have never been to this planet Vegeta, I wonder if they have anything good to eat. I find myself quite famished. Oh... but there is that other planet I wanted to visit too... I wonder which I should go to first. You, you and the other Supreme Kai will stop interfering with him directly, is that understood? The last thing we need is for all of you to die. Oh, and do say hello to Diana for me, I imagine she'll be up soon as well." Lagerus would then look up towards Whis with a light nod. They would only give those gathered here but a moment to respond, before the pair would vanish from the Eastern Supreme Kai's world.
The way that Whis spoke and acted... it admittedly irritated the Supreme Kaioshin a little. He didn't seem to apparently care about half the stuff he'd mentioned, focusing solely on the fact that the Dragonballs had been used for this. Mar could never figure out how an angel's brains worked, not in any of the long millennia with the very rare occasions of having met any of them. He pushed his irritation down though because right now he didn't want to anger either of them... especially not in his current state.
When Lagerus spoke next, the Supreme Kai of the East blinked with his good eye for a bit before he grimaced a little, bowing shortly afterwards. The Eastern Supreme Kai did consider telling Lagerus about Jarvis' threat to blow up anyone from the Otherworld that visited Vegeta, Blehberry, whatever name he wished to call it, that did not immediately kneel before him... but he decided to let that one be a little surprise. Plus if anything, an attempt on the God Of Destructions life by Jarvis may just provoke Lagerus enough to just erase Jarvis herself. Which in Mar's books right now, would be a good idea and do the universe a favour.
"As you say Lord Lagerus." the Supreme Kai of the East responded. He had no desire to try and fight Jarvis again in person any time soon... not with their vast differences in power. Though the notion of Diana waking up soon... it took him a moment to recall who exactly Diana was. Seems the Grand Supreme Kai's are on a rotation this cycle... thought Mar to himself before the God Of Destruction and Whis eventually vanished from his world.
Once the pair of them were gone, Mar would give a sigh of relief before regarding the Kai that had been left with him. "You really thought it would be a good idea to just telepathically barge in on a God of Destruction that had just woken up?" he asked Yanagi incredulously before sighing. "Well, let's hope your cooking is better than your sense of judgement... and just to forewarn you, the other person who lives on this world with me is a Saiyan, so better learn how to make large meals. Fast." the Eastern Supreme Kai said as he went back into his house to resume work on his eyeball.
