After Atsuko made her request, there was really nothing to do but just drink the water now. So the Albino Saiyan began to fill one of the cups with the water from the grail. She carefully sets the grail back down on the middle of the table and then grips the cup lightly. This was it, the moment of truth. She would either die here, or it would prove that she is fit to be Kami. The Knight took another deep breath. She had steeled herself for the last time, it was time to just get it all over with.
Atsuko drinks the Sacred Holy Water, and then sets the now empty cup back on the table. She could already feel it's effects. The Albino Saiyan begins to sit down on the floor, adopting a meditative posture as best as she can. The pain was starting to grow more immense. It was difficult to maintain her composure, and soon enough her vision had blacked out. The world around her becoming foreign and unreachable to her senses. It was so strange... Was she dying? Is this what it was like to lose your life? Does that mean Atsuko had lost her way somehow?
Suddenly, she found herself in an odd cavern-like structure. The synapses in her body told her that she was in danger somehow. The Knight didn't hesitate any longer, drawing her ever familiar sword as she glanced around. Then she spotted something in the distance, the armor was unmistakable, especially so soon after dealing with the man. It was Nasu, but he wasn't alone. He was backed up by several other Saiyans of similar garb. The Albino Saiyan eased herself into stance, ready for the fight of her life to take place. Others began to arrive on the scene, taking up stance alongside her.
Tau and Bernael. She felt a little more at ease knowing they were here to help. The three charged towards the Saiyans, Nasu just gave a cocky smirk and pointed his palm towards them. A massive attack was unleashed just moments after. It left the Knight stunned and on the floor, though she could still hear the sounds of battle around her. She slowly began to push herself up, looking towards the battle. Tau and Bernael were getting overwhelmed by the odds. Damn it... Everyone was so much stronger than she was. They all had these hidden potentials they could unearth.
What sort of Guardian couldn't even help her friends? It wasn't right, the Albino Saiyan continued forcing herself onto her feet. It felt like an impossible weight was holding her down, but finally she managed to stand back up in order to see Tau and Bernael defeated... Not just rendered unconscious, but dead. Above all else, she feared failure and losing everything she cared about. Atsuko let out a yell, gathering all of the energy she could muster. She flung herself into action, the horde of Saiyans were going to pay for it somehow!
She had to avenge her fallen friends! It wouldn't bring them back, but... She still had an obligation to them, and to Earth. Her vision was once more taken by darkness. She 'awoke' to a ruined Earth, scorched ground and craters dotting the landscape for miles without end. She felt that weight once more as she tried to get back to her feet and struggle out of one of the craters she found herself in. What was the point of her struggling? She had failed several times over, even if the Saiyans were gone... Earth was ruined. But she was still alive.
The Knight struggled to bring herself out of the crater, only to notice that there was a shadow looming over her. Whoever it was offered a hand in order to help her up. Her gaze looks upward in order to spot Jarvis. "I told you. This always happens.", he muttered to her. Atsuko wasn't even sure what to make of it, it just... Left her speechless. Was she wrong to want to protect everything she held dear? The Albino Saiyan couldn't imagine abandoning her ideals, even if there were faults in it. And even if the consequences were failure were immense...
Atsuko still had determination to keep going. Her vision fell to black once more, and soon she found herself standing on the Lookout, just in front of the Palace. Cambia was right there to meet her. "Damn, you look like shit... Don't tell me you're giving up already? I'm gonna have to kick your ass if you think about it for even a second.", the hybrid spoke in her usual crude fashion, but after everything... It just brought nothing but relief to the Albino Saiyan. There was something she hadn't failed at, someone who still believed in her.
A real reason to keep going. Before Atsuko could even act, however, a person she recognized suddenly appeared behind Cambia. He struck her down effortlessly. It was Athren, a man that she had saved before. And he had just... Betrayed her. The Knight bared her teeth and lunged at the man. Everything had been taken from her! The Albino Saiyan didn't care if she died anymore, whoever wanted her life could damn well take it. But no more! If they had a problem with her, it was time to stop being so cowardly and targeting everything around her instead of confronting her!
Damned Saiyans. More than just them, every single evil being. She was going to give them the same treatment! Rip out their foundations, show them that they wouldn't be allowed to do as they pleased! Not if they wanted to live to tell the tale... The instant she gripped the Prince's throat, her vision fell to black once again. This time, there was nothing. No more visions, no new locations... It was like she had just fallen unconscious. Her mind was still 'awake'. Atsuko could still process what was going on, there was just... Nothing but black.
Suddenly everything came to, the Albino Saiyan gasped desperate breaths as she began to take in the dark room around her. The Knight woke up in a cold sweat. "What... The hell... Was that...?", the Saiyan questioned. Did everyone really die? Was Earth really in ruins? She couldn't make heads or tails of things. Slowly, she rolled over off of her back and began to push herself up onto her feet. The fatigue began to drain away as she drew in more air. In place of it, she felt stronger... More capable. And slowly she began to realize that whatever she saw...
It wasn't real. Just a side effect of the water. She looks to Arion for a moment, and then back at the Sacred Holy Water. "We need to be careful with that... It attacks your most vulnerable spots. Turns it all into a living hell to try and break you.", the Albino Saiyan commented. And then lets out a sigh as she looks back at the Namekian. "But I can't deny it's usefulness... I think we should check on Bernael now.", the Knight urged. Even though she knew that the half demon wasn't dead, she still wanted to see him.
As well as to assist with that guest, if he ended up having need... Atsuko ended up not waiting very long to hear Arion's response on the matter, and began to reach out with her senses in order to pinpoint Bernael's location. With that, she began to leave the dark room in order to find him. He wanted to take the test as well, she wanted to take the chance to warn him about what to expect. As well as to see who was on the Timeless Lookout now... It better not have been Nasu, that troublesome Saiyan had done enough as it was.
The Albino Saiyan found herself led to the quarters she had claimed. She stood at the doorway and spotted both the half demon as well as the blue Saiyan. "That's not yours. Put it back, and clean up the mess. Or leave, but you're not taking anything with you.", the Albino Saiyan declared towards Jarvis without hesitation. "Don't test me. I know how fast you are, but you're not going to escape me. So just cooperate.", the Albino Saiyan pressed on the point, and removed the weighted cape she was wearing. She had no need of it now.
And if she wanted to catch the blue Saiyan, she would need to not only match his speed, but outmaneuver him. She could only do that if she could access her full power. That cape was nothing but dead weight at this point, and she could feel the Sacred Holy Water working it's magic now... Jarvis was going to have a hell of a time trying to get away from her. So hopefully the blue Saiyan would see reason and stop causing trouble for a change. She found herself being rather reasonable about the entire thing, from her perspective...
But Thieves often had different views.
