He'd draw in a deep breath taking in the cool air. It had been a few months since Tokibi had taken time into hiding on this little blue orb. He'd believed by this point the slave trackers had either given up or he'd simply become not worth the price to keep tracking him. While worth his weight in coin he was still just one slave escaped from a machine that had many cogs grinding out gold and cash each day. He was in many ways insignificant beyond that with all the time that had passed since his escape from the Brenchian baronesses party.
He'd survived by keeping to himself and staying away from the strange activities upon this planet of late. Keeping himself to the shadows and in a more obscure lively hood for the time. Only seen in the late night hours off and on. Making a handful of cash here and there for a few underground competitions. It appeared this planet loved battle almost as much as several other races he'd met during his darker years. Although given his at least in comparison to this plants natural people. He was quite powerful. Making a easy bit of pay here and there when he went searching for such events. But remaining absent as often as he was around. Not wanting to stick around or allow people to remember his face to directly or with any permanence.
Always feeling that sensation as if someone was watching from somewhere he just couldn't see. Even on this strange little orb and all the time that had passed he just couldn't bring himself to let that tension in his shoulders fully fade. That looming sensation to be weary of his surroundings. As if someone was always ready from the shadows with a lash or harsh command for his posture or some other frivolous problem with his behavior. While he did enjoy his new freedom and privileges that came with it. He still often felt the fear of letting his hair down in such ways from before. It wasn't a easy sensation to pull away after it being distilled in him for so long. From neglectful masters to earnest and kind, top abusive ones that treated him like cattle in his small history of personal owners. He'd tasted what it was like to be owned by different kinds.
Leaning over the railing of a small pier looking out upon the ocean that sparked from the moon glimmering on the sea. The smell of the sea salted in the air was something that at least relieved him some. Helped him relax in his lonely confusion here on earth. His unsure state of affairs or sense of distraught emptiness. It was strange that as much as he tried to enjoy his freedom he couldn't help but feel he lacked some purpose now. He was free but without his shackles in a sense he was more chained now then he ever was before. He just stared at the sea's current that washed away and returned smashing into the sea shore time and time again. Its fruitless endeavor to escape to the shore and washing back into the body of water constantly trapped in its cycle something he felt he related to in this moment. He was a lost soul... without purpose or anything or one to call his own. "Did I truly escape... Why does it feel like part of me still is trapped back there." Rubbing his wrists as he leaned on the railing of the pier this night. His wrists felt heavy and pained. The boy's pained past still weighing him down. Wondering if he'd ever truly overcome this obstacle.
It just so happened that Tomoroko had been at the very same ocean that day, all day she had been hunting for fish and sharks to feed the saiyans that came crashing onto Earth as they escaped the destruction of planet Natto. She wasn't truly alive, therefore the alliance was no longer her problem, but she couldn't leave them like that... no matter how hard she tried to stay detached she felt as if she owed it to them to take care of them, as this was somehow all her fault.
Her reason for being in the living realm was to help solve the issues that might threaten the balance of the universe, and that included the now dead Jarvis, and Nasu... A sigh would have escaped the saiyaness lips had she not been underwater just then, gripping the fins of a shark tightly as she swam towards the surface with the creature in tow. It was still alive and attempting to bite her at every turn, but tomo just kept bopping it in the nose to deter it from trying to eat her. It was going to be HER lunch after-all, couldn't get eaten by the food.
Tomoroko flew up above the surface of the ocean, pulling the shark right out of the water with her and holding it up high above her head. She didn't really notice if anyone was around to see this rather strange display and instead just headed for the shore line where she had managed to gather a strange assortment of deep sea fish and creatures.
"I suppose I could have a bit of something to eat before heading back... It's not like they're out of food..." Tomoroko said lowly as she tossed the shark onto the sandy beach. She eyed it hungrily before gazing away and focusing on a dead octopus instead. She should leave the shark alone for now, it would provide more meat for the others... she could settle on this thing for now.
She set herself up a little campfire and ignited it with her ki, then using her rail gun to take off the creatures tentacles one by one and putting them on sticks over the fire. She would finally sit down and sigh as she stared up at the sky.
"How is it that this has all gone to shit... heh, I never even got to tell Kimiko or Cambia about Sato...." and that's when she noticed him, the boy standing at the peer and staring out at the ocean she had just come from. She kept her eyes locked on him for a minute, curious as to whom that boy was, and wondering if he was now curious as to how the hell she managed to pull a shark from the water.

He was lost to the deep recesses of ones mind for a time. His thoughts washing him into a calm almost warm numbness. A momentary silence of emptiness as he faded figuratively from the world. Watching the sea under the dark sky above in the lovely image it created. Stars sparking off a sea that was a lovely sight to be had. No matter how many oceans you could see the oceans of all worlds had this sorta of spell it could caste over you. In this case it soothed a savaged soul buried deep within. It was calming and something beautiful when it was hard to see such things anywhere else.
It was almost missed upon him that someone was flying above the water at first. The almost pure reflections and sky mixed with the water in this night. It had almost trapped within a waking dream as he found himself mixed within a day dream. His eyes tired yet he didn't want to sleep. The nightmares best kept at bay while they could be. It was almost like a sobering stir that snapped into place when he finally realized it was not a figment of his imagination but someone was actually out this late of a hour fishing for rather... large fish. From what he'd seen as well in his months living on this planet so far. This was... odd behavior once he'd sobered up to see it as reality not just some believed day dream. He'd pause watching it with a strange sensation shivering up his limbs and down his spine. He was weary of things he could now tell were not normal on this planet. Too many dark things were happening in the galaxy these days. Too many unknowns that could only bring bad news. He couldn't help but feel a dark curiosity as a sense of fear curdled deep within his gut as if it were some disease. His paranoid and worries plaguing him still. As well as what kept him hiding on this planet as much as his freedom as it was his new prison in some senses.
The person wasn't that far off but it wasn't the easiest to make out under the night sky. Eyes adjusted to the darkness and only the light of the moon had even more difficulty seeing who it was clearly where she was at a distance. The fire creating dancing shadows and slivers of light that helped hide the being within the night with her hunt. He'd draw in a breath realizing he was being watched taking in a small sigh and holding steady leaning against the edge of the pier as the waves lightly sloshed to and fro from the shore. After a few moments as he could mainly make out the eyes watching him through the darkness. He'd simply raise a hand lightly as if a lazy but simple way of acknowledgment. Unsure just yet what kind of meeting could come from this. He would be careful but knew subtlety was better then any urgent or strange action like jetting away. He'd try to calm himself with silent breaths keeping up his image of calm silence. curious as to what this was and in store for the night.
The octopus roasted away on the fire, the severed legs curling up as the heat cooked them. It didn't take long for the legs to cook at all, and Tomoroko picked up one of the sticks and rose it up above her head as she waved back towards Tokibi, motioning for him to join her as she offered up one of her octopus tentacles. She didn't know why she wanted to be friendly with this boy, but something about hsi aura just felt... reassuring? Comforting? She couldn't explain it.
It was almost as if she recognized him, but she had certainly never seen this boy before. Maybe he had just been one of the children back on planet Natto that she had passed by? That was a likely possibility. Although without a tail, she couldn't guarantee that this boy was a saiyan at all.
"You kinda look lonely kid, why don't you come have a bite to eat with me? There's more than enough, even with my appetite!" She called out to him, setting the stick she had picked out for him aside near the fire, and picking up her own before taking a large bite out of the tentacle.
'He really does look lonely... maybe it's just because it's getting dark but... there's a story to this kid. I wonder, where's he from to have that look in his eyes?' Tomo asked herself, still watching him as she chewed up her piece, swallowed then smiled invitingly over to him.

He'd let out a sigh and feel retreating at this point would have just looked more suspicious then aiding him. If she did have ill intentions or was some sort of threat. This surely wouldn't be the behavior and activities he'd have expected to have found her engaging in before a attack after all. He'd take a few moments to walk along the pier. Moving down a side stairway up and along the soft cool sand of the night on the beach. His shoes left at his camp hidden not far off out of sight. The sand was cool and soft between his toes. A sensation that tickled and calmed him lightly. Helping him ease his heart beat as well as his breathing. Almost relaxing to some light degree as well. Or at least as much as the boy could.
He'd feel unsure but resist raising a eyebrow to her words. Not wanting to appear rude he'd simply and politely at first sit near the fire. Not to close to here but not clear on the other side either. Close enough to reach the stick with the at this point rather finely roasted tentacle skewered upon the stick. The smell enticing and enough to make the mouth water. Even if it was a strange creature he'd never seen before. He'd try not to that bother him though. He'd eaten far worse to survive in the past. Tasted the finest of foods and the worst of slop that sometimes probably wasn't really things one could consider food.
"Maybe just a little lost in thought... I'm a little new here." He'd say in a lightly calm innocent voice. His words soft and gentle in a almost disarming sorta way. He'd learned or at times passively would speak in a way to not draw to much attention to himself. In the past to much notice or accidentally aggravating those around him could have brought dark consequences. His dark and lightly hollow briefly when looked into directly. But when she'd look directly at him any time and he realized he was being looked at it always seemed to appear a calm stoic kid boy. A face with a light grin that would make her likely believe he was just kid goofing around the beach at night for fun. But brief moments when he'd believe no one was looking he'd sometimes look.. sad. But only when he thought no one was looking.
"Around these parts... Not used to the islands most my time was spent in the larger cities." Covering his tracks and words lightly a little better. Technically not lying given he did land in the city. So in some aspects he was still being truthful.
He'd lean forward as soft lips would lightly bite into the meat of the tentacle. His other hand holding under the food and the lip as if to catch or perhaps from reactions as the hot meat lightly burned his tongue even if he showed little reaction beyond that. Pulling the chunk quickly and chewing it quickly given the heat within his mouth and upon his lip. Smirking lightly as a after thought from enjoying the taste. "Its good... Strange way to catch them by the way though. Most people around here use fishingrods. Not just fly over and snatch critters from the sea." Smiling softly. Pretending he knew more then he did given what he was talking about was only minor things he'd learned not long ago himself.
Tomoroko took another bite of the squeaky octopus leg she had been devouring when the boy came to sit with her. Now that he was closer and in the light of her fire, her heart skipped a beat. Why though? what was up with this kid and why did he seem so familiar to her?She definitely didn't recognize him from anywhere but then again... she had been dead a long time and people had changed.
"New hunh? From out of town or, from out of planet? I don't mean to pry but you kind of just look familiar to me is all." She would say in a kind, motherly voice. she wouldn't sound threatening in the slightest as she spoke all while she continued to eat. Tokibi would clarify for her though, saying he was used to the large cities which just made her think he was an Earthling after-all. she gave a light sigh as she grabbed another piece from the fire.
"Ah, well I guess that makes sense. The beach is nice to come too... though even the water here on Earth is nothing compared to the oceans back home.." She said almost longingly, her tail twitching up from the sand lightly as she reminisced of the waters on Planet Natto. they were similar to the oceans here on Earth, but something about them struck her as more beautiful than these... maybe it was just her becoming homesick. Tokibi snapped her out of her trance though as he commented on her way of fishing, causing the saiyaness to raise an eyebrow as he mentioned a... fishing rod?
"What kind of technique is a fishing rod? It's so much easier to catch fish this way. You just go right for the ones you want and catch it." She said almost too innocently, truly having no idea that earthlings fished differently than she did. Of course she knew not all saiyans could fly or had enough strength to go up against a shark but maybe they had some other method like nets or something..?
"Hahaha... Earthlings always seem to have the most interesting ways of doing things. My name is Tomoroko by the way, thanks for joining me kid." She would introduce herself with a bright smile. As she moved, the fire would glisten on the halo perched up above her head, no doubt giving her quite the other worldly look.
He'd smile but try to be coy and keep his prior where abouts his own. Not wanting to give to much at the moment. While still often looking over his shoulder he did want to keep what little comfort he had in living secretly upon this little blue globe. "Nothing to extreme. I just travel a little now and again. The ocean and coastal areas like this always seem rather nice as well." He'd say softly and look to the coast lightly for a moment. The sound of the sea washing to and fro from the shore giving a relaxing sound in the backdrop of the environment. The few sounds from land not far off of the night creatures almost made it as if some sort of natural music.
He'd just sorta watch her with soft eyes and a small grin. Appearing amused and interested in most moments. Not wanting to appear rude or off putting. He often had that soft friendly appearance. Some of it natural some of it naturally refined into him given how he'd have to behave around others in darker chapters of his past. "Earth people use fishing rods sorta like... long sticks with string or wire attached to it. Small mechanical devices that can pull and release these substances. It can let you catch, pull, and go after fish and sea creatures without ever leaving the pier or shore. I believe its more something of a relaxing joy rather then simply to go for the fish." He'd say trying to briefly answer her question and give her at least a moderate explanation of the differences in fishing. Trying to make it sound believable as well so he'd sound somewhat as if a native or at least long standing visitor.
"Guess I thought it would have been rude to have refused given you signaled me. Plus its a bit strange for people to be out here at so late a hour. Maybe I was... curious." He'd say smiling lightly and the interesting young woman. At least she was friendly. He was pretty sure from his observations at this point she was a saiyan which made him lightly more curious. She didn't exactly fit his normal ideas of one of those. His eyes briefly looking upward and at her halo. Unsure what to make of it or what it might man or signify. The galaxy was a big place... who knew what it could have come from or mean. He'd seen a little of the galaxy but never with freedom. This itself was something he wasn't quite sure what to think of.
"I don't see how waiting around holding a stick is relaxing in the slightest..." Tomoroko said with an unimpressed look on her face as she just tried to imagine herself sitting on the edge of a river just... waiting for that Fishing rod to catch something... No, it was much simpler to just dive in and grab away. She was sure those fishing rods weren't able to go as far down as she was anyways, and the really good fish were found in the deeper parts of the ocean.
She took the last bite of her octopus before tossing the stick aside and sitting back with a satisfied sigh escaping her lips. A large smile played the saiyaness' face as she seemed completely at ease here with Tokibi. When he mentioned it would be rood to not accept her invitation she simply gave a laugh.
"I suppose that's true enough. Although as an alien I don't expect everyone to accept my offers to dinner. In fact most earthlings have started to just... run away when one of us walks by. Thank you for joining me kid." She continued light heartedly, leaning back until she was lying down against the ground, hands behind her head staring up at the stars.
"I don't need to sleep... normally I still force myself too but lately... well there's been too much going on in the galaxy for me to want to let myself sleep. So I thought I'd catch tomorrow's dinner ahead of time. Plus, there's just something about you that feels familiar to me. Sorry if that seems weird, I know I've definitely never seen you before... but I think it's your energy..." She said without truly looking at him, her eyes fixated on the stars above. She was just waiting for Komatsu to come back and was trying to make things easier on the squad in the meantime. Things weren't exactly all sunshine and rainbow at the outpost right now... thankfully, they had ships that they were able to use temporarily.
"What are you doing out this late then?" Tomoroko asked, now glancing over towards him with a coy grin as she propped herself up.
It was a small little chuckle but still it escaped his lips. He had to admit her reaction to the rod and reel idea of fishing wasn't far off from his originally. Although the sensation itself felt a little foreign. He'd been running around this planet a little so far but this... It still felt forced. Odd emotion almost looking forced or as if he was putting on a act if a well trained eye caught the small tells. It was one thing to work the motions when it was his survival from back in the days before. When that still familiar darkness loomed over him. Some part of him still feeling it as if it was a chill tickling at the back of his neck. It tended to push people away as if he was hiding something most would suspect. But it seemed at least for the moment that didn't happen in this case. The night being a strange one for that. He'd grown to prefer the nights,... sadly more seclusion in his freedom of late.
"Ohhh, Well that's no good. Not good at all. Guess its just the nature... Plus you have to admit there's usually a saiyan that comes around every so often and causes a little chaos. Can't blame them for being at least a tad bit hesitant, Just a tad?" He'd say trying to be kind and humorous. As well as factual unsure quite how to approach this. Truth be told this was one of the longest conversations he'd held for some time on this planet as sad as that was. Smiling at her but slowly a small bit some might catch would be simply he spoke and looked 'too' her. But quite often never to her eyes. Eye contact didn't seem to last except for small flashes. Some part of him feeling his nervous nature still taking to him but his toned in mental training for how to act around 'hosts' kept him in place. Polite with a smile on his face and his soft gentle eyes. Sadness often easy to hide as a soft gentle exterior. After all how easy would it be for a saiyan hunter to take a job to find him. How much did a slave or worse a runaway even matter to a saiyan? Alliance or Vegeta remnant. Even worst to a rogue mercenary... He drew in a soft breath letting the sea air calm him as best it could for a moment.
He chewed his food silently as she watched the stars. He listened to her words though with careful care to detail. Another thing he could not avoid but do. He had his lazy days but when his nerves were sharp he didn't miss a detail... 'couldn't' miss a detail. But he was so silent it would almost be easy to forget he was there when he wasn't speaking. He chewed, moved, even breathed in such a way to present himself as calming and silence. As if his presence only had as much value as those around him wished to give it. But still as the night air settled around them he thought for a moment and shared his words with her. She was a strange one for a saiyan so maybe it was the difference in comparison to his other experiences that let his curiosity aid him lightly in this.
"Well,...It's Normally not my 'energy' people take note of first. So that's a first in itself." A small chuckle once more came from him but a little smaller. "I suppose we all sleep when we can. It's a big galaxy... Stuff has to calm down sooner or later right? Somewhere?" He'd say aware of big events but not to any major detail. He'd only learned the obvious bits and what he could pick up here and there. More so in recent days but only to a slight degree. These few months of freedom had went from joy to quickly fear and nervous caution for a bit. Enjoying earth but it becoming as much his accidental prison out of worry then his bastion of paradise he'd envisioned it as from the start.
It took him a moment to realize a little later she was looking at him even with a small coy grin. It was... strange. He didn't know quite what to make of a woman like this looking at him so. He'd look away for a moment a little shy and stare towards the fire. Trying not to break his patterns or appear rude. Keeping his shoulders relaxed in appearance but tensely held. The perfect 'image' of relaxed and disarming. "I was just sorta... out. Seemed the best time to be about. Maybe it was just the sound of the ocean... Couldn't sleep sometimes ya know. Sorta like you said." He didn't quite know what to say. Fighting back a sigh and instead just gave a small soft smile back. Small and kind to cover up anything else he may be thinking or feeling for the mysterious woman under the starlight.
"I guess it wouldn't be the first thing no. You're as thin as a stick, here." Tomo handed him over another octopus stick, hoping the boy would eat more than he was. While he didn't exactly look ickly thin, he didn't look like he had eaten properly, at least not by saiyan mom's standards.
The more the pair talked, the more Tomo realized that the boy was hiding something. She wouldn't pry but he was being extremely cautious towards her as if she could turn on him at any minute. He also knew that she was a saiyan without her need to tell him as much, refering to herself only as an alien so far. It was a strange behavior hidden in an array of niceties which reminded far too much of the slaves Natto and her died freeing. She simply smiled gently as she glanced back up to the stars looming above.
"You're right it is a big galaxy and something should calm down soon... Hopefully... In the meantime I'm going to do my best to help it calm down some. Hey... I hope you don't mind me asking but, do you have anywhere to stay? There's a town to the East that have let us in since our outpost got destroyed. There's a room you could have there if you wanted it. " She offered kindly as she took her eyes off of the sky once more to look back at the thin male. She'd probably had some explaining to do when she brought him over, but thankfully Komatsu's squad was a kinder bunch of saiyans. She figured her mom would just take the kid in at least until he got properly settled here.
She figured he wasn't from here judging by his mannerisms, but she still couldn't quite figure out where he was from. He looked human and there were only a finite races that looked humanoid... or maybe he was human after-all but something had happened that he hadn't gotten raised here? No... then that wouldn't explain why it was he felt so familiar to her.
He felt a small shiver when she suddenly grabbed and handed another one of the sticks closer to him. His body relaxed while secretly nervous. But his eyes a bit sharp to watch its movements. A little careful if not sometimes lightly unease by such sudden movements. But after a brief fraction of a second of though he'd accept it and bite it reluctantly. The taste fresh however and enjoyable. So it wasn't all that much of a problem even if he often didn't eat much. He only seemed to have a more strong appetite when he'd actually put work of some kind in for the day. An even then after enough years of much smaller rations and portions compared to a great many others he had trained himself to rely on only what he needed. To a extent not thinking much of it even when more was available to him now.
He looked up to the sky after she did and listened to her words but didn't seem to answer right away. A long moment seemed to drag along for what would seem a small eternity to some perspective. He felt somewhat tired allot lately. His nerves and his other bodily actions only a sign of his past but his over all spirit had been drifting lightly into a sense of exhaustion. He was in may ways alone here. On a planet he knew little about and while not a bad experience thus far he had little direction or meaning or idea at all where else to go. The prior months had been like a dull blur of simple survival and travel. Feeling unable and even more so unsure about considering traveling back off world ever. His own problems as well as the galactic problems making it all so much more confusing then he thought freedom would have been when he hatched his quick wit and plan months ago but what felt like years given his thoughts on it all.
"I don't normally stay in one place very long. I don't have a house or anything like that if that's what your asking." Eating his food slowly and with a quiet set of manners. Chewing quietly and while enjoying his food seemingly not making much of a fuss. Besides a occasional kind smile and pleasant tone in his conversation. "Is it just you right now? I heard about some of the saiyans from a old outpost but didn't pry to much into the whole situation. I tend to prefer... to be alone most the time. I like to travel and sleep out. Its simpler out here or the forests of this planet. The desert is beautiful too. Even with all that goes on this place is peaceful to some extent. Its nice how different it is all over this planet... Did you lose something as well in the outpost problems? Is that where you are going?" He'd say with dark eyes that looked at her softly as his small almost frailly soft smile looked back. He seemed kind and almost completely disarming. His body tensed but appeared so relaxed that he would never even have a chance if attacked in this moment by her. Some part of him thought unsure if he had to consider defending himself if he'd want to hurt others though. He'd only really doe things he had to survive in the past. Doing things for other reasons would be something else entirely. He'd watch her softly with a curious and kind expression. The sound of the sea in the background and a cool breeze in the air at odds with the warm aura of the fire set the mood quite well. The boy drawing in a slow soft breath as h waited for a response. Feeling odd but enjoying some conversation for a change still.
It wasn't hard for her to pick up on the boys subtle actions... having raised two boys of her own she had grown accustomed to looking out for their body language. What did bother her about this boy's body language though was that he seemed entirely too skittish, as if he expected her to lash out in one form or another at any moment. sure a few years ago she might have given him a hard time for not being a pure blooded saiyan, but her mate had worked hard to get rid of that racist mentality in her. she supposed it was thanks to Natto she was able to have such a calm and nice conversation with this kid now...
"A traveler hunh? That's interesting, you really aren't from around here are you kid?" She asked softly, smiling as a light chuckle escaped her lips. She dusted off her pants as she sat straighter, giving him the chance to eat the rest of the foot she had set out before pushing herself up to her feet slowly.
"Sorry, I don't mean to scare you or anything. It isn't just me, I'd say there are..." She paused to raise a hand, counting on her fingers how many saiyans were actually staying in the small village where the grand citadel had once stood.
"5? maybe 6? I'm not familiar with all of my son's squad just yet... I know a few of them followed him back to planet Natto before all of this happened, and I don't spend much time there myself other than to help out here and there. See I'm not actually supposed to interfere with the living world much, so I'm probably going to get quite the slap on the wrists when I get back~" She admitted softly, looking back down towards Tokibi, her smile never leaving her lips. Even when he asked if she had lost anything, Tomoroko shook her head no.
"I'm in a strange situation... I once led the Saiyan Alliance many years ago so any attack against them hurts me a lot... but being dead, there really isn't anything for me to lose now." She said as her smile suddenly seemed very sad as she extended her hand towards Tokibi.
"A dead woman has no reason to want to hurt you. Why don't you come at least spend the night in town? You'll have your own apartment for the night so you won't have to worry about anyone getting in, and with me and the other saiyans around you won't need to worry about anyone coming to bother you. There are quite a few Earthlings staying in town too, so unless someone plans on making another grand gesture you'll get a good nights sleep." she tried to reassure him, hoping she had pieced the puzzle that was Tokibi together.
He drew in a slow breath and didn't really answer her question right off. Simply giving a nod as to not truly answer. So that way his answer could have simply left not around here to mean a number of things. Not confirming he wasn't from this planet but possibly just not here in this section of the planet. Perhaps not wanting to admit it at this moment but continue to simply be rather then worry about where he was from or would be in the future. Truly where was he from? It had been a road of places in his past but was any of them really someplace he could say he was from? There wasn't really a home anywhere in that path that stretched behind him.
He seemed to chuckle a little though and seem... curious if unsure what to think at some of her words. Looking at her Halo but perhaps not fully believing the whole 'dead' idea. Allot of what she said he wasn't sure what to think on. She was kind which he was thankful for. But she had quite a few strange things to say. "Sounds,... strange. Complicated. What kind of things do the 'dead' do with saiyans anyway? Less I heard the alliance was led by almost kids not much older then me. You'll forgive me if such explanations don't make me unsure what to think." He'd finished his foot eating quickly. While distracted in talking perhaps allowing him to indulge himself a bit more then he normally would have in what he enjoyed. His stomach settled and a bit fully then he normally was used too. Standing as she did perhaps following her lead or not wanting to appear rude. The fire flicking shadows dancing along them both. The stars above making it strange almost omen like shadowy light around them on the beach.
"I might not mind coming with you for a night. I enjoy seeing new things after all but all this strange talk aside I've never been on to spend much time around saiyans. You can see why even in the condition you speak of the old settlement having been. While I might be hesitant. Allot of rumors pass through the galaxy of some bad things... Present company excluded of course." He'd say smiling at her a little more friendly now. Perhaps a little of him glad to meet someone kind for the time. She wasn't like what he'd heart about many of the others. An she had some strange stories and curiosities to her that was almost like a fairy tale if he believed it. It was almost like some strange story playing out for him here on this little foreign planet. "Some refugee saiyans I imagine may not care for too many sudden strangers." Looking into the night and land inward. Then back to her. Looking as much curious as if he considered leaving as well as going with her. Perhaps unsure just where he was heading at the moment. He avoided eye contact though for the most part but still remained soft,... friendly. He didn't seem afraid of her even with all the strange details.
Tomoroko couldn't help but laugh as Tokibi stated how strange her words sounded. She supposed it was true, it was pretty weird when you thought about it. she was just so used to it, and so used to those around her knowing she was dead and the details around it that she almost forgot how unsettling it could be. Tomo picked up the shark still lying in the sand and started to walk along the beach with tokibi in tow, hopefully.
"Alright let me try to explain... You obviously know about the Saiyan Alliance so we'll start there. A decade ago my mate and I were the leaders of the Saiyan Alliance, we led an attack on planet Vegeta for various reasons and that eventually leaded to both of us getting killed. Now normally dead people aren't free to come and go to the living world, but with everything going on in the Galaxy, The Eastern Supreme Kai enlisted my help in keeping an eye on things... seeing as my sons are the two hard headed idiots they're worried about. That would be the current leaders of the Alliance, Nasu and Komatsu." Tomoroko tried to clarify, going into great detail about herself, opening up to Tokibi like a book as they walked. It was strange for her to feel so at ease around someone she had just met, but she wasn't worried about him at all, and her guard was completely down with him.
"I know that's a lot to take in, and I'm not really sure how I would go about proving that? I mean beyond the halo." She added, her free hand coming up to her chin in thought, trying to think of how she might be able to prove to him that she was in fact dead. There really wasn't anything she could do... it wasn't as if she was a ghost and could just... haunt him to prove it?
Whenever Tokibi agreed to stay the night she smiled brightly and nodded towards him, turning on her heels to look at him.
"Excellent, I'm glad you agreed. I think you'll be surprised with this particular bunch, they aren't exactly your stereotypical saiyans which is exactly what we've been trying to accomplish by splitting off from the Empire. We've slowly been trying to change people's perception of the Saiyan race, we're not all brutes~ " She assured him as she lifted herself up off the ground just a bit, ready to fly off but stopped as she looked at Tokibi curiously.
He slid his hands in his pockets and chose to follow along not far behind her lightly at her side. The shark she dragged behind her leaving a dug in path in the sand and eventual ground ahead of them. The heavy creature weighing enough to likely indent into most types of ground they'd come across with a soft ish surface. He didn't seem to show much surprise at the story allowing her to finish her explanation. Inside feeling quite a bit of it was a little to much to swallow. But her reasons must have been her own for explaining such a tale. He'd heard the names of the alliance leaders before and knew of some of its public history from his schooling before he was put into the labor forces and acquired by the young master in his childhood. "The saiyan civil war or something or another people called it. Before and after causing only more expanse. While I admit the Alliance does have a better resume then the original empire I studied. The expanse still cost many their home planets. Vegeta expanding as well as a result to counter military power. Don't take this the wrong way...But even when the Alliance wanted to be different as many claim. It seems it brought about more conquering. Saiyans being the ones standing more higher grounded then others in a new part of space. Some who teach on the subject were so bold as to simply call it Vegeta by a different name." Trying to distant himself from his explanations sources as to try and deflect any unkind feelings or reactions. A misdirection way of talking to try and send any off sensations or feelings towards other targets rather then accidentally having himself come under metaphorical fire.
He didn't respond about her halo though. He'd seen enough in the galaxy to know if you tried to figure out every crazy new power or strange modification in style and energy races discovered you'd go mad. It was best to just nod and agree sometimes then spend hours arguing or figuring out something that hardly mattered in the end as minute as such a detail as a glowing ring above someones head. Besides... what business was it of his to poke to much at such a thing.
He watched her lift off a moment after taking in her words and biting his lip lightly looking up at the floating woman. Not sure if he should admit or not to the lovely girl he could in fact fly. It was extremely common on this planet but not unheard of for locals to fly. But he didn't want to narrow down all features and give to much information away to fast. Or he ran the risk of more things befalling him. Secrecy was ones friend and information a luxury at times. In the end choosing to eventually lift and casually rise to her side. sighing lightly and looking away shyly as his cheeks lightly seemed to puff. "I can when I need too... An the perception on most saiyans is hardly a stereotype. To change perception is not a easy thing. An while I can admit people should not be fully judged and held down by their past. We should always keep in mind what people have done in that past. If saiyans of warring pasts wish to be seen as different. Maybe there should be a empire build more for creation and aiding the suffering galaxy rather then claiming it?" He'd say softly but with a hint of a edge as well. "Or better yet simply admit there isn't a need for a King, or Overseer? Same as no one needs a Viceroy... If anything. You give a good man a army he'll never run out of people to kill. If you look at the history since the Alliance's creation and Vegeta's reaction before it and what built up to Vegeta that we know from history... Well. Forgive me for saying but you can only really say it was merely the adjustment to different life with saiyans in mind. Perhaps its to what others thinking of them that should be there worry. But actually changing. After all... Pride and power don't mean much when a stronger empire comes along. Which it always does... History teaches us that well enough." Speaking softly and with a smart tone to his voice. While he felt her and her comrades likely had noble intentions at hard in this time and times in the past. It usually started that way for things such as this. But over time the truer goals would become lost to practicality and greed. Simplicity and the more core values of one's own race. Such was the way of galaxy though. So who could truly fault them for it? Maybe not fault them but hold accountable. That was a needed thing for justice.
