Personality:
Ryuteki is a very easy going kind of guy. He doesn't argue with anyone if he can avoid it. He'd much rather be left alone than to take on any kind of responsibility, and even when he does have to be responsible he will always try to delegate to someone else or ask for constant advice.

He loves to joke around and even put the effort in to train so long as he is with friends. With strangers however he will most often give you the cold shoulder until he knows you can be trusted with the safety of his people.

Appearance:
Just like all of his Namekian brothers, Ryuteki has a green skin tone with red muscular fibres surrounding the visible muscles on his body. While those muscles are normally red on a Namekian, his are yellow, as his fathers were before him. This yellow pigmentation on his body identifies him as being a part of the Guru's family line.

He can usually be seen rather simple clothes, white pants and a purple shirt that hands off only the left side of his chest. When he is trying to look proper, he will add on his gi around his waist which is held there by an orange band.

Backstory:
Ryuteki was born as the first and only son to the previous Guru of Namek, the Guru who had been violently butchered at the hands of some horrifying abomination of a creature. All of the knowledge his father had once possessed had been passed onto him, as was the natural way of things with Namekian births.

As a child, Ryu was groomed by the Kami's assistant to prepare him to become the next Guru, as was his right by birth. Ryu however wanted nothing to do with becoming the next Guru. He would much rather spend his dys playing with the other young Namekians or running off to explore the planet on his own.

Until the age of 10, the Guardian became rather lax with Ryu, knowing that his nature wouldn't allow for him to sit and learn everything he needed to. He just let him he himself, encouraging him to go out on his own to explore the planet, giving him tips and tricks so that he could train himself out in the wilderness. This technique seemed to work with the young Namekian, as every time he would return to high rock he had learned some new skill, or had become that much wiser even as a child. Allowing him such freedom allowed him to explore the world in a way, most Namekians didn't want too.

When Ryuteki turned 15, that's when tragedy struck his father. The Demon beast appeared from the skies and devoured his father, leaving the planet without a leader, without a Guru. Being so young, Ryu never had the power to fight this monster with his father... He could only watch the strongest man he knew get devoured like he was nothing more then that monsters lunch.

Ryu never stuck around after that to see what happened, the young Namekian ran away from the scene, ran away from high rock and his people... he found the most secluded location he could, way up in the northern mountains of Namek and kept to himself. Why would he ever want to become Guru just to end up like his father? If he was meant to be Guru, then shouldn't he be strong?

Roleplay Example:

The Guardian of the previous Guru's of Namek was on his way towards the southern most mountains of the plan, following the presence of Ryuteki's Ki signature. In all honesty he'd never lost track of the boy through the years, always able to sense his rising power level from a distance. Until now he had never gone after him though as he knew the child only wanted to be left alone... mentally he wasn't ready to take the mantle of Guru and so in the meantime they had searched for another.

Time and time again those that tried to take the mantle would fail. The true test of becoming Guru was the ability to create the mystical Dragonballs. While dangerous, they were a symbol of unity within the Namekian clans. Every major clan leader would receive one of the 7 mystical balls to guard with their very lives. Even if the balls were to go inert after their creation, at least the elders would know that the sacred orbs could one day be broguth back, and it remained their duty to protect them.

With no options left to him, the guardian sought out Ryuteki in his makeshift home. He would land in front of the humble encampement then walk up the rest of the way. There, he would find not the boy he had once helped raise, but a Namekian Warrior, a man in his own right standing with his back turned to the guardian. 

Ryuteki was focused, or so it seemed. His eyes cast up to the clouds above him as they moved slowly onwards. His Aura seemed to radiate around him much like he was in meditation. Whenever he sensed the guardian finally arrived though, he let out a sigh as his eyes closed, never looking behind him.

"Ryuteki, brother. I've come to take you home."
The guardian stated bluntly, waiting by the path that would lead them back down the mountainside.

"I'm sorry Trian, I am not going back. I know why you've come for me, and you should know best. The life of Guru isn't for me. I'm not cut out for it no matter who my father was."
He spoke lowly, his eyes still closed, though the aura that surrounded him slipped away and Ryu took in a deep breath before turning to face Trian. Instead however a brilliant beam of energy was headed directly for his face and if Ryu hadn't been fast enough, it would have hit him dead on. 

He blinked repeatedly as he looked from where the blast missed him back to his teacher, who was already charging blasts in both of his hands, starting at Ryuteki with the most serious gaze he could muster.

"W..What was that for!?"
Ryuteki asked, dumbfounded that his teacher would attack him out of nowhere like that, but before he could say another word, a second blast shot him in the feet, causing Ryu to gasp and leap into the air, flying up and creating some distance between himself and his teacher.

"I've let you slack off for entirely too long young master. I'm afraid the people of Namek need their Guru. You don't believe in yourself because you haven't given yourself a chance. You look at your father's shadow and you become afraid. It's time for you to forget that shadow and step up to that throne and become the one that will unite us once more. Besides, I can easily become that new shadow for you to fear."
The guardian stated with a coy smirk on his lips. If he needed to whip Ryuteki into shape, so help him he would! He fired off another blast, and another towards the future Guru, each time only grazing his body as the younger Namekian had grown quite adept at dodging him! With every strike, Ryuteki flew further and further away, even began to fly away from his instructor and towards High Rock. That was the only place he knew his teacher would stop attacking him...

Damn it, it looked like one way or another he would be forced to embrace his future...
