Rival, the Hell-bound Android
Genos, One Punch Man
Genos, One Punch Man
Name: Rival
Age: Date of manufacture dates back to twelve years, although he looks well within his early 20s.
Race: Bio-Android (Saiyan/Ankoku/Puhnian Cells)
Gender: Male in appearance
Height: 5'10" (About 175 cm)
Weight: 160 lbs (About 70 kg)
Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Black sclera, yellow iris.
Identifying Markers: Where the whites of his eyes would be, is replaced by a pitch black color, almost void-like in nature. As if staring into them would engulf you eventually.
Personality: Rival was built for less than ethical purposes, as a result his personality would clearly reflect on the negative aspirations that were made in Rival's name, during his construction he was built to be cruel and merciless, while at the same time obedient and loyal. Like combining the personality traits of a rabid animal and a butler, giving him an oddly sophisticated-sadistic attitude, to a lesser degree. However, he would often practice speaking as few words as possible among anyone other than whom he served granting him an air of mystery to add on to his chart. He also finds interest in certain species, such as the Saiyans and Shinjin, the former of which he was partly modeled after.
Likes/Dislikes: Rival enjoys discovery, particularly when he stumbles upon a particularly interesting specimen with large power, and he has a particular fondness toward street clothing as it is comforting and easy to move in. What he dislikes the most is those with a god complex, believing that through word alone everything should fall to their back and call. Through personal experience these personal opinions cemented how he would treat his foes.
Aspirations: Rival's only aspirations during his life amounted to nothing less but escaping Hell, which to him was nothing more but a ballpit full of children that he was forced to supervise, and with his coding demanding it he sought a worthy being to serve under but his priorities leaned more toward escaping the tomb he was stuck in.
Homeworld: Rival was created in Hell by a deranged android manufacturer.
Allegiance: His loyalty belongs to only himself.
Starting Planet: Hell
Appearance: Rival's body is nearly entirely mechanical in the model of a blonde-haired young man, his face is human-like with pierced ears, the only odd feature on his face is the white of his eyes are colored deep black, his ideal type of clothing is your average street clothes you can find just about anywhere on earth, and as such can always be seen wearing a collared sleeveless shirt, revealing his bulky muscles, and a pair of navy blue jeans his hair is always carried in a spiky fashion even if one were to attempt to change it otherwise.
Rival's mechanical limbs carry visible scratch marks noting how long he haas existed in the Hellish dimension, and often he would have dirt smudges in his clothing and something of that variety, his frame was modeled after a tail-less Saiyan as a personal preference from his creator, along with scratches in the metallic frames of his body there are also a few rust spots that don't seem to deter his movements in any fashion. The only part of him fully biological was his face and hair.
Backstory:
Rival's creator was a scientist that, at first, longed for the betterment of Earth society but soon drove himself to insanity with his research and the pressure he placed upon himself. Ridicule and blame came to him for the things he promised to accomplish but never could and inevitably, his madness drove him to discover new ways to better humanity. Better, if you were a deranged megalomaniac hellbent on the destruction of Earth. To no surprise, the scientist was pursued and slain, gaining a one-way trip to Hell for the atrocities he committed in the living. There he would remain in hiding for many years, plotting for a means of escape.
Years later, Rival's planning and designing was brought to light by said crazed android creator in the depths of Hell, carrying a horrible grudge against Saiyans and Earthlings alike, almost as if he were slain by such a person. While evil individuals went rampant through the Hell of Earth, the crazed scientist hung behind in hiding, designing what his warped and twisted mind could classify as the perfect super soldier. The time taken was difficult to be recorded but eventually, the creation of Rival was made.
As a result of the maddening ego and foolish nature to work with Saiyan cells, Rival's creator was quickly overpowered by his own android, deeming the deranged elder unworthy and striking out on his own, breaking out of his holdings and wandering the many planes of Hell. He stumbled across many lifeforms of different varieties in this place, but none he could actually find to be worthy of his loyalty.
Even though Rival was modeled to carry the same grudges and goals as the deranged scientist, Rival's creation granted him a sense of self-awareness, and an ability to decipher what he himself wanted and he carried no qualms against those that did his creator wrong, rather he admired their conviction to stand up and use their power to defend their possessions, being driven to kill simply for the love of something else was a phenomenon that fascinated the android, and although he found himself intrigued to view the experience from beyond, he had no temptation to pursue such a thing himself.

Roleplay Example:
At first, Rival considered Hell to be nothing but a pile of rocks where one would be forced to wander boredly forever, but he soon realized that he was wrong during his monotonous flying across what he playfully designated 'The Land of Nothing but Nothing', he detected a power that was far different than the rest he discovered, what he felt from sensing the power was what intrigued him the most, a sense of anger and villainy with a tenacity to back it up. Following temptation he decided to pursue the energy, he wasn't in a rush to chase after it but he was definitely intrigued to discover what could harbor such power in a deadpan cesspool like this.
The landscape changed around him from what was originally a reddened sandy mountainous region, to what only could be described as a pervertedly corrupted landscape one could easily find in a cartoon, the ground was made of toy clay and odd gumball-like spheres rose out of the ground, revolving around something Rival couldn't see as if they were planets circling around a sun. To no surprise this brought confusion to the android, whom questioned nothing about things he didn't understand because the time wasted trying to figure out something wasn't worth it, but here even Rival had to ask himself what brought on such a change. He followed the large spherical shapes, he noticed that they were rotating faster and faster as he was approaching the center, further proving his theory that this was some kind of mini galaxy. He glanced upward above him to see birds made out of parchment circling overhead like vultures as if waiting for a meal of lead to arrive or something to that variety, in silence he faced forward and continued his journey toward the center of the mini universe.
Not a few minutes after he began noticing odd changes to the landscape, colored blotches splattered across cragged dents in the clay-like landscape, like blood from a particularly fatal wound. Rival paused to take a moment and study the area further and descended until his feet hit the ground, the clay coiled upward and attached itself to the android's ankles, he responded by surprise and leapt high into the air, the clay stretching and tugging trying to drag him back down, eventually the clay snapped in half and what gripped his ankle crumpled into dust and fell from his feet, Rival took a few deep breaths, which wasn't required of him, just a nervous tick. The ground was alive and supposedly swallowed up whatever else was here, he descended to a low level altitude but this time refused to touch the ground, the ground declined at an angle and along the path that it held were statues of people in frightened positions, completely made out of the same clay. Rival approached one and experimentally pierced one of the statues with a ki blast, the clay shattered and a mass of bones sprinkled onto the ground only to be swallowed by the living clay, Rival rocketed upward a few feet with a distressed expression. The ground was eating people somehow, it seemed impossible that it could eat the soul-like bodies of already dead people but it was made possible by something. He was about to return from whence he came, but his curiousity got the better of him when he noticed a dark purple transparent glass-like sphere in the distance at the bottom of the pit, in the middle of the rotating terrestrial gumballs, curiousity got the better of him and he urged forward, his expression cold.
Upon closer inspection, Rival found some kind of short alien lifeform in the center of the glass-like sphere, it looked like a majin female in appearance, but it lacked hair and had some kind of exo-skeleton armor as a part of its frame, similar to the armored skin that the Frieza race was known for with a barbed tail that looked oddly menacing, like it could swallow you whole in the blink of an eye, on its head were cat-like ears that twitched upon Rival's approach, he noticed this immediately and froze, clenching his fists as if to prepare for an upcoming battle. Cracks appeared in the glass-like sphere with a loud crack that caused Rival to back up with a shocked grunt, more cracks lined the surface of the sphere in a noisy manner, then the sphere gave away and shattered into pieces, freeing the strange alien lifeform from its supposed tomb. The alien slowly straightened out and gently descended to the ground, one thing Rival noticed as when the alien-like touched the ground, the clay seemed to embrace it instead of attempting to swallow it. The alien form turned its head and opened it's bug-like eyes that locked immediately on Rival.
"New friend?" The alien spoke in an eerily high-pitched voice, almost like someone tone-shifted a voice to as high as it could go, were it any higher dogs would be whimpering on the other side of the universe. Just hearing it almost fried Rival's circuits, causing him to cringe. "It's nap time. Friend shouldn't be here." It said, then it ran its eyes up and down Rival's frame, then stopped at his ankles, where remnants of the clay that grabbed him rested. The alien started stomping the ground, agitating the clay. "Jube-Jube no like bullies!" The alien squealed, the clay around Jube-Jube seemed to quiver in fear under the weight of her sudden mood swing, then disappeared in a puff of purple smoke that released square outline particles that flickered away after a moment. Rival snapped his head in both directions, the energy couldn't be sensed anymore. He felt the energy directly behind him and right at that moment, a loud screeching noise pierced Rival's ears that was powerful enough to crumple glass to dust, then a knee to his lower back launched him forward, he hadn't even noticed the brief paralysis that followed from the hit until it finally passed. He flipped to gain control of his movement and stalled in the air, spinning around to see the alien like creature, fists clenched and fanged teeth clenched in unprovoked anger. The energy radiating off of the evil creature was being multiplied tenfold as its anger grew, and Rival briefly considered running away, to live and fight another day. But turning around he noticed the planetary objects creating a kind of dome over them, he now knew how there were so many lost souls in this space of Hell. It was a trap.
Rival decided it best that battle would be the only way to escape this odd arena that was now formed around them, in such an enraged state his opponent had speed and ferocity, of course, but what they lacked while letting rage drive them would be reflex. He would have to capitalize on this in order to win, he thought to himself. As part of an experiment to get to know his opponent better, he broke forward toward his opponent, fist raised, and threw it at his opponent, with supreme speed the alien disappeared into that same odd blend of particles and appeared behind him, he used this opportunity to fake-out and spin around to hit the alien, his fist connected, but it was like striking stretched silly putty, Jube-Jube's body contorted to accomodate his fist, leading to a massive bulge coming from its lower back, he pulled his fist away in confusion. "What-" Rival questioned, his original question was 'what are you' but he was cut off upon being struck by the bulge that he had caused in the alien, it somehow sprung forward so violently that it hit him with the force of a semi-truck. He spiraled out of control and twirled back so he could regain movement, he gritted his geeth and threw a ki blast at the swiftly approaching alien, the resulting burst caused the alien to exclaim in anger and rub its eyes from the sting. The alien clenched its fists and screeched loudly once again and disappeared in those similar particle effects.
Rival backed away a few feet while preparing for an attack from behind, that would soon be his downfall when he felt the evil energy directly above him, along with the sound of a blast charging, the odd alien carried a massive ball of swirling pink energy that it threw down toward him, he brought his arms to his front in a cross to guard the blow, he tanked the hit but the brunt of the force sent him downward into the clay. In panic he leaped upward but the clay already had a thight hold on the bottom half of his body, sticking to him like glue and trying to swallow him up, he fought as hard as he could to resist the vice-like grip that the clay had over him. As a last resort he charged up his ki and released a barrier that ripped the clay away from his body, causing it to shrivel and sink back down into the ground. The barrier dissipated and as a result of watching the clay break in front of it, Jube-Jube grabbed the sides of its head and let out an ear-piercing screech and threw itself at Rival and spastically delivering punches and kicks in his direction, which with fast reflexes Rival managed to guard against with some difficulty.
Rival endured much of the alien's nonstop onslaught of attacks, but as his stamina waned so too did his guard, and the alien managed to land a denting blow into his chest, he could feel his body vibrate under the force of the blow before he was launched away, almost as if time itself froze to account for the force of the hit that sent him into the planetary objects that acted as a barrier, preventing his escape. He peeled himself away from the now cracked spherical object and turned his sight to the alien, that was flying toward him at bullet speed, both fists outstretched with the intent of launching into Rival. He threw himself away from the arena wall and moved aside, leading the alien to land in the wall and burst a hole through the planetary object, creating a hole in the arena.
While Jube-Jube went straight through the wall in an almost comedic fashion, Rival backed away swiftly getting as much distance as he could between him and the hole that it created, surely enough the alien creature flew back in and skidded to a stop, it glared at Rival and started pounding its hands into its head, repeating the word "Cheater" over and over again, then it abruptly stormed forward and Rival clenched his fists, deciding to meet the alien head-on. the two collided, creating a shockwave that disturbed the living clay, the shockwave forced them apart only for Rival and Jube-Jube to turn back around and fly toward each other again at light speed, giving the illusion that they were teleporting.
Rival could tell that his opponent was getting tired of fighting forcefully, and he couldn't lie that he was too as the two were getting nowhere, but what he didn't realize was that the oncoming shockwaves the two had caused from the high speed pursuit had weakened the integrity of the spheres that bound Rival to this arena, Rival flewback to one side of the dome and closed his hands into fists, his teeth gritted while watching his opponent, disheveled and panting while staring hatefully at the android. Rival clasped his hands together and brought them to his side, charging a beam colored dark purple and red with an added black swirl, he threw his hands forward while exclaiming loudly. the beam spun toward the alien creature that barely skimmed the beam upon dodging out of the way, turning to the beam's point of impact, the wall of the arena that it blew a hole into, rupturing the gumball-like spheres and widening the small hole that the alien had made before, its bug-like eyes widened then it began to quiver, a purple smoke beginning to radiate from every pore in its body, "No fun..." The alien muttered while clutching its fists, then threw its arms out, a kettle whistling noise beginning to sound as its body expanded, "NO FUN!!" It screamed as its body began to expand, breaking holes in its skin to accomodate for the stretching.
Rival's eyes widened as he finally realized the goal of the strange creature, the anger that it felt drove it to desire to destroy Rival by any means necessary, even if that included taking everything down with i, Rival charged up his ki and launched forward, flying at high speed toward the massive hole that could now accomodate him, the clay sprung upward from the ground and attached itself to Rival's leg, preventing him from being able to move any further, he struggled to break through the clay but as he attempted to break through, more living clay would reach from the ground and grab him in the other leg, he growled and charged ki in five of his fingers and swiped to the right, launching needle-like ki blasts through the clay that defied its previous rule and launched upward at him, the ki blasts ruptured the clay for long enough for him to break away and make a clean escape, he twisted back around and launched toward the hole, the ear-piercing screech of the alien on the forefront of his mind as he escaped through the hole he burrowed, he twisted around and just as he did a massive explosion broke through the terrestrial objects, the shockwave was the first to hit Rival, sending him backward away from the explosion, he brought his arms in front of him in a cross while he was forcefully blown back, shards of the planetary objects whizzing past his ears at bullet speed, he performed a backflip to regain control of his movement and watched as the perversely altered landscape before him was engulfed by the massive explosion, cleansing it of the alterations that were made to it previously.
Finally, all was quiet. Rival's ears were ringing from the loud noises but it soon cleared thanks to the quiet that followed, Rival glanced upward and saw the paper vultures again, slowly descending downward and landing in the crater, pecking at the remnants of clay that remained after the explosion, soon enough this area of hell would be cleansed of whatever that Jube-Jube person caused. Deciding that he had nothing more to do here, he turned and flew off in the opposite direction. After some distance he lowered and touched the ground, doubling over and shutting his eyes for a moment, allowing the pain to pass then he stood back up. His final decision was to continue his journey, as even with the setback that he faced here, he felt no desire to cease finding strong powers to pursue and learn from as it would only make him stronger in the end, whether victorious or not. That was the power granted to him by the foolish doctor, something he would one day find a use for.
