Tundra would stand solemnly in the freezing cold wasteland, scouting the area for a flat plateau, he’d slowly begin a strut, leaving indentations in the ice as he walked, his own weight and the weight added on by his heavy armor more than enough to form cracks in it. He’d continue his walk before turning his head slowly, finding a spot that was big enough for what he needed. Tundra would reach inside a pocket in his weighted armor, taking out a small capsule, labeled, “House.” He had scrounged up enough Zeni to afford a proper abode, one that would help facilitate his harsh training routine, something he looked forward to.
He’d begin touching around the capsule, unsure of how it actually activated, however upon tapping the top of it, he’d be greeted by a click sound. Surprised, he’d throw the capsule in front of him, it bursting out into a full blown house. He was shocked, and while he wouldn't admit it, a bit embarrassed too.
He’d shake his head, not like anyone saw. Regardless of that mess, he’d continue on, walking to peer into the house through one of its windows, noticing that it was quite large, but still fairly modest. Tundra would have a large grin plastered on his face, a result of seeing his new place of respite, “Finally, getting someplace to comfortably rest my head was long overdue.” He thought to himself. Slowly, Tundra would continue his strut, walking to the front of the house, slowly turning the doorknob and walking in, the warm air surprised him, it must have had some sort of air conditioning unit inside of it, that or it was already warm, he didn’t particularly care either way, but it definitely caught his attention. Picking at his teeth, he’d look around, seeing how plainly decorated it was, or rather, undecorated, once again, not something he cared about, but something to be taken note of. Tundra would continue his tour of his new abode, before coming across a door to what he thought to be the training room, he'd enter, looking around at the scenery... Tundra would pause for a moment, returning to the sign outside to make sure what he saw was indeed that, it was a bit compact for training, but he supposed he gets what he paid for. He’d take a deep breath before walking in, looking around at everything inside, it appeared to just be a simple room…
...But there was some sort of control system, a series of dials and buttons on a panel in the middle of the room, he'd cautiously examine it from a distance, before curiosity overtook him, Tundra would begin walking to it, inspecting it as best he could.
“1G?..” Tundra would state outloud in confusion, he didn’t exactly know what it mean, however there appeared to be a dial to the right of it. Once again, acting on impulse, Tundra would turn the dial to the right, the number increased to 2, and much to his shock, a loud “vuur” noise would accompany the increasing of gravity, x2 Earth’s normal to be accurate. Tundra would keel over, not expecting the weight that was set upon him to double, his eyebrow would twitch before he stood back up, while the increase may have caused him to lose his balance, it wasn’t enough to make him cave, no, he was strong enough to fight off double earth’s gravity.
“Incredible.” Tundra would mouth, noting that with the added pressure, his movements felt far, far more impaired, the energy he exerted needed to be increased to cope, this would easily aid his efforts in training. However, x2 Earth’s gravity was simply too small of a number for Tundra, he was a mighty Kold Demon, why, he should be able to stand this pitiful machine’s maximum gravity with no problem. Now with this quite dangerous mindset, Tundra would look at the dial, he didn’t precisely know the max of this machine so he’d just turn it till it reached 50G, "Fifty times earth’s gravity," He thought to himself, "a cake-walk."
Slowly, the same ominous “vuur” noise would begin sounding in the walls, clunking as well, even with Tundra’s lack of observation skills it was quite easy to notice that the machine was under quite a bit of pressure. He’d begin taking in deep breaths, he wasn’t going to regret this, it would be easy, there was no reason to be scared, it would be fine, absolutely fine… Slowly, the gravity would begin to take action, first it raised to 10G, Tundra at this point would have to slouch, feeling sweat drip off of his head from just the pressure exerted at that level alone. Much to Tundra’s dismay, the automated system showed no quarter to the sweating Kold Demon, increasing further, now reaching 20G, 20 times Earth's normal gravity. Tundra would be visibly using all of his energy to fight against the immense pressure that kept increasing, his physique only being forced closer to the ground with every incremental increase, 30G, 30 times Earth's normal gravity. Tundra would utter out a guttural noise, feeling his very being begin to collapse under the pressure, his pupil would twitch, noticing that he had a bloody nose from the force alone. “D-damn… Damnit!” He'd yell out in futility as the Gravity Machine yet increased, now 40G, fourty times Earth's original gravity. He'd collapse, lying prone on the floor as he weakly glanced up to the control system next to him. He just needed to reach it, he just needed to deactivate this, before he, well, he didn't want to think about what's happen if he let it keep going.
Tundra would slowly begin lifting his hand, or rather, trying to, as even with his second form power the weight was far too great to overcome, his eyes would leak tears, feeling his very bones begin to cave under the pressure. No, no, he was going to survive, he wouldn't die here, words echoed through his head, "I WILL NOT DIE A DEATH SO SIMPLE, A VILE TRAINING ROOM WILL NOT SILENCE SUCH AN ELITE KOLD DEMON LIKE HIMSELF!" He'd look up to the panel, his anger reinvigorating him with a new drive, Tundra would begin trying to get up, using every trick he could to fight off the intense gravity, but even when he tried everything...
...he couldn't.
50G.
No… No, he had one more trick, it was a dangerous Gambit but it was better than dying in this tin can room. Tundra would take a deep breath, mentally readying himself, Tundra would break out into a explosive battlecry, electricity would lift off of his form, dashing across the floor and up the walls of the room, his aura would flare up, growing colossal in size, painting the room a fierce magenta from the glow. Slowly, his body would begin to shift, his shoulders pulsing out before shrinking back in, his entire body shifting to a far more nimble state. As the transformation took place, he'd be coated by a blinding white light, his body shrinking down as the electricity continued to flow, only intensifying as his power raised. All at once, the aura, the electricity, and the light would cut off, leaving Tundra’s final form exposed, glancing up, he'd begin to stand, shaking as he fought against his heavy weights only further intensified by the gravity chamber. Tundra’s body would begin bleeding, cuts being opened from merely staying in the form, he'd slowly reach for the control system.
Suddenly, his chest would rip open, a surge of electricity flying out, leaving a diagonal cut across his torso to his abdomen. Tundra would stutter, seeing and feeling the massive damage dealt to his body, blood pouring out like a waterfall, but he can't waste anymore time! While he still maintained consciousness he'd slam down on a button labeled emergency stop, the machine making a muffled, “wiir” sound as the gravity slowly decreased back to 1G.
Tundra would fall over, putting his hand on his chest. Taking it away to look at it, seeing it stained with a purple shade of blood, “Bandages… Bandages…” He’d mutter weakly, slowly crawling over to a plain white box, opening it up and searching for a roll of bandaging, relying solely on his sense of touch. Nothing, goddamnit! He'd breath heavily, smoothly devolving back into his first form, there was just one thing to try, he needed to. Tundra would charge a Ki-Blast, slowly bringing it close to his chest and soldering his wound together by the heat outputted from the orb. Tundra would wince and be left gasping for air, a burnt, bloody cut on his torso. He'd close his eyes, taking deep breaths as a realization set in, that if he wasn't as durable as he was, that'd have killed him. He’d struggle onto consciousness, holding his chest tight as his vision blurred. He’d take the time to rest, letting his body take the time to adjust to the immense pain surging through him.
…
Hours passed, soon Tundra would re-awaken, feeling his body aching sore, immense pain from just breathing. Regardless, he’d power through, slowly standing up, holding his hand close to his chest as a precaution. He’d limp over to the control system… It was a stupid idea to train at 50x Earth’s Gravity with such heavy weights on, he’d begin hitting himself on the forehead for his stupidity. Nevertheless, he was gonna train, injury or not, but, even though he hated to admit it, 5G seemed like a far more reasonable place to start. The same “wuur” noise would emanate in the building as the gravity once more intensified, this time to a far less intense degree. Tundra would slowly peel his hand away from the still quite gruesome wound, standing in a battle position, though stand didn’t really do it justice, not with the weight and wound bringing him down, he was more slouching, limping for stability.
Quickly, Tundra would jab the air, a quick punch from his left, he’d follow it up with a diagonal kick, swirling around like a spinning top. He’d take deep breath, attempting to stabilize himself, after a few seconds of silence, he’d break into a rapid air boxing combo, rapid jabs followed by fierce and powerful kicks, his movements beginning to blur together as he only increased the rate of his assault. He’d continue moving forward with this tiring combination attack, as soon as he’d reach the wall however, he’d pull his hand back, just narrowly avoiding putting a dent in the gravity machine, he’d take a breath, he really didn’t want to have to repair anything, especially with his non-existent knowledge of machinery. He’d slowly begin walking back, making his way to the controls of the gravity machine, starting his shadow boxing all over again as soon as he got enough room to do so.
Another set of hours would pass, Tundra would be thoroughly exhausted, having spent no less than six hours on nothing but training, his body slowly beginning to fail him. He’d begin taking uneven breaths, shaking as he desperately tried to keep his composure, sweat dripping off of his body. He would clench his fist, looking down at it in anger at his lack of energy, his lack of power, he knew there was something in him that’d allow him to reach great heights, but he was blocked from it, “...Damn! Damn it all! The improvements I make are minimal! I know I'm far, far stronger than this, but I'm… Restricted! DAMN IT ALL!” He’d scream out, ki bursting from his body and shaking the room, he’d have to take in heavy breaths to regain the stamina lost from such a move, weakly yelling at himself for his own incompetence.
Suddenly, it struck him… His weakness, he was barred from his own potential due to his unwillingness to transform. He had transformed before, yes, but it was something about it that truthfully terrified him, he was letting his power escape his grasp, and for what? For any reason?.. No, because of his own foolishness, he’s never bothered to master his true form. Foolish, foolish Tundra, he’d begin swearing at himself, fists clenched together as he yelled in his futile rage. If he had mastered his true form, he’d never have to risk his life in such a dangerous scenario, if he had mastered his true form then his power would finally be his, if he had mastered his true form, then he’d become truly powerful.
Upon Tundra’s face, would slowly form a grin of realization.
He was wasting his anger, the solution was simple, he would need to master his final form, of course the idea would be much easier said than done but it was nothing of worry. Tundra was meant to achieve this level, he simply needed the push to get there. Although, he’d look down upon his body, noticing the scabbed wound beginning to break, maybe it wouldn’t hurt to rest, if just… For a little while.
Tundra would make his way outside of the training room, walking down the short hallway to which he presumed to be the bedroom, he’d slam the door open, hesitating not in the slightest to pull off his weighted armor and fall onto the bed. Letting his clothes rest on the floor and his body take the much, much needed rest.
…
More hours passed, Tundra would stand up, being greeted by the morning light piercing through the windows, his body aching all over. He’d get up, that was enough rest, he’d just have to ignore the pain for now. Tundra would shake his head around, slapping himself on the cheeks to wake himself up, he’d walk over, putting on the heavy weighted armor, his condition only made it feel heavier, but it didn’t matter. He’d make his way to the gravity chamber.
…
5G. Tundra would press a few buttons on the control panel, rolling his head around on his shoulders and stretching his neck, the gravity in the room would slowly increase to five times earth’s normal, it was far more manageable than the previous experience. But, he may just screw himself over with this, regardless, he had to make progress, even if it was gonna hurt.
He’d take a deep breath, stretching his calves out and rolling his shoulders, stretching his body, he’d take one more deep breath, before balling his hands into fists, screaming out in pain and focus as electricity flared from their body, a blazing aura surrounding them and glowing a fierce purple. He’d begin gasping for air, his wound acting up on him, his whole body shuddering in pain, but he would push through, this wouldn’t stop him, he wouldn’t let it.
He’d scream, his own voice echoing in the confines of the gravity chamber, his energy painting the wall as the electricity began lunging from his body, tearing up the floor of the room. Tundra would continue screaming, his body beginning to shake as blood poured out of his wound, cuts opening up on his torso and head. No, no, Tundra would begin wheezing, trying to control their ki and breath, massive flares of electricity and energy being sent out as they desperately tried to maintain rule over his body and ki. Slowly, the aura would begin receding into Tundra’s body, the Kold Demon feeling his body drenched in sweat and blood, made only worse as he was assaulted by a headache. He’d begin taking deep, slow breaths, electricity shooting out of his body at a exponential rate, his aura had finally shrunk to a tame size. Tundra would take one more breath...
He’d begin screaming as his body began shaking and shifting into a far more nimble stature, one that displayed both elegance, and fury, as his body finished it's metamorphosis he'd stretch his arms, feeling the physique of his final form, but transforming into it was just the easy part, the challenge would be finding a way to stay in it. Even now, Tundra would feel his power level decreasing, his stamina waning by the second, simply staying in this form was incredibly inefficient, and the pressure, god, it felt like his whole body could explode from all this unfathomable force…
...Tundra would look down to his hand, electricity surged off it, bouncing around him like he was some sort of tesla coil, in fact, his whole body was emanating a huge amount of energy, far more than he was capable of holding, but he needed to do something quickly, not just stand around aimlessly. Tundra would look down to his torso, before lifting his head, he'd begin a long exhale letting energy surge out of him like a waterfall, electricity coating him, he bought himself time to think, and the pressure seems to have died down. "Huhm..." Tundra would mutter, feeling the immense power fleeing from him, he'd look to his hand, seeing the electricity fly out of him, suddenly he'd bare his teeth, screaming as he stopped the electricity from flying out of him, his aura growing massive in the matter of seconds, he'd begin twitching, the amount of energy he was storing causing his body to bulk and shift, his very muscles seeming on the verge of bursting. Tundra would try to maintain control of his power, he'd rest his arms to his side, his body bulked up and swelling, suddenly, electricity would begin shooting out of him, coursing around his body. His body would begin shrinking, his muscles reverting to their previous size, he'd take a deep breath, control, he had to maintain control. Tundra would lift his arms up, placing them in front of his face, without any hesitation, he'd break into a shadow boxing assault, his body moving at incredible speeds, assisted by the strength of his final form, letting his energy drip out of out of him as he trained in the intense circumstance, pausing only to increase the gravity...
…
...Hours, days, weeks even passed with Tundra doing the same intensive training, taking breaks only for eating, resting, and increasing the gravity. Finally, after all this training, he turned the gravity to 50G, Tundra would smile, the effects of fifty times earth’s gravity has finally proven manageable, while he wouldn’t dare say the conditions were by any means comfortable, he was not on the brink of death, an improvement from last time. Tundra would smile, blood stained his body and sweat stained the floor, but he would smile, grinning without a care in the world, Tundra would face the control panel, deactivating the gravity machine, chuckling once before the fatigue from the day’s training would suddenly set in, Tundra collapsing on the floor, quickly fading into unconsciousness.
Tundra would lay on the cold hard ground, he likely wasn’t bound to get up soon, but even without any stamina to spare, the zeal of achievement burned brightly within him.
