29/06/18 We have an updated Beginner's Guide for New Members! Please browse through it to get a feel for our systems before diving in! It is here. 22/04/19 Brand new site skin, what what!!
A new day started, and she had more to do today. This time, she needed to start getting the materials on her project. She just hoped that she wouldn't get into a fight or something while she was here. Though that might change with what she was doing, she went to a secluded part of the region, the large continent was bound to have some empty areas that had some trees on it. Essentially she was going to cut down some trees and use it to create a temporary wooden cabin that she could claim as her base here. Though she had a problem.
She should ask whoever that Guru person was before she was going to do it, that was a good idea. She had then walked towards the nearest settlement that wasn't by the natives, she wondered if she could meet anyone there that knew where to go to talk to the Guru, sure her plans were quite odd, since she was farming resources for her own gain, she was sure she was going to have to pay it back to the Guru, though what should she pay back with? One thought at a time... Focus on getting someone to take you there first!
As she walked, she tried showing off her power, sure it was small but someone was bound to detect it, she just hoped that the person that would reach her first wasn't hostile. All she needed was one person to help her out with this and she would pave a path for herself, sure the ship was nice and all but she needed more than just the ship to stay in.
She also thought to herself, how should she act towards whoever comes to her? Should she act as kind and understanding as possible? Or should she act like a diplomat? One thing was for sure, she was not going to act like herself.
Mac Cogadh was flying from his hut to go meet some of the Nameks. He was helping them with farming and replanting their trees. He did this as a way to show that he wasn't a hostile, and they greatly appreciated the gesture. He was close to one settlement when he felt a power level. Mac had never felt this signature before, so it intrigued him.
'But first, I got to meet the locals and tell them I'll check it out,' Mac thought. He dove down to the closest Namek settlement, seeing some of the natives already about and wondering what the matter was. The half demon landed in front of the leader of the settlement.
"Oh Mac, you've startled me. You know you shouldn't land in front of people like that."
"I'm sorry, but I felt a power signature that's different from the planet's people. You guys just stay here and I'll go check it out."
"Mac, you don't have to. We can fend for ourselves if it comes to it."
"After the stories you told me," Mac stated, "I would rather be the first barrier to any evil forces before you die." With that, Mac flew a distance to the power level and then landed on the ground, starting to walk towards it.
The hellion saw that it was a woman, possibly a human, who was giving off the power signature. Mac started to surpress his kids, not knowing if this person was friend or foe.
'Probably a foe, but from what my father told me about his race, she may be a friend. I'll have to see.'
"HO THERE!!" Mac called out to the woman. "I mean you no harm, but I would like to inquire as to your business on this peaceful planet. Please, state your business. Be friendly, please, and perhaps tell me a bit about yourself."
Maybe due to his race, or the fact that both him and his associate, Lemo, wore battle suits - and specially his that resembled the new Planet Trade Organization style - were enough to get them inquired and attract people like a light attract flies, but ultimately it all ended well and maybe even lasting alliances would have arose from that fateful meeting shortly after they arrived at the planet. In any case, he knew they would stay for at least a few months in this planet, so they might as well find a place to camp and settle down. Obviously he would rather find a decent three of four star hotel, with hot springs and plenty of food and wine, but he was on Namek of all places and the closes thing to that would be camping in a cave with a lake and some gross namekian-like lobster he would have to settle for supper. "The marvels of a third world planet..." he thought to himself as he walked around the boring blue plains with that boring green sky and nothing else to do.
But Namek with the saiyans and the other alien races never stayed boring for too long and that was both a blessing and a curse. He sensed two power levels nearby, one that compared to the power he displayed thanks to his suppression and another quite pitiful, but still above the average joe that called this place their home. "Oh." he exclaimed, not impressed, but a smirk still cracked on his thin lips as he decided to approach the powers and see what they were up to.
Didn't surprise him that the scene he witnesses was quite similar to what had happened to himself and his associate not long ago: someone was walking, taking care of their own business and somebody would approach and inquire them about the said business, almost as if this planet was nothing but the home of nosy people who had nothing better to do, well, he could definitely see why they didn't have anything better to do, this place was indeed a boring piece of land, but alas, they were all here because people couldn't stop measuring their reproducing parts in a generation long contest to see who could blow more planets.
It was so bad for business! But he didn't expect most of those savages to understand such a concept.
Nevertheless, he approached the duo and with folded arms and a smirk, he addressed the one making the inquiry. "When was Namek promoted to the training grounds of the Galactic Patrol! Dear lord, everybody here is always asking what are other people's business! Are you, perhaps, a paparazzi?" oh, sarcasm. He did like that.

Even with her new technologies she stayed cautious on her surroundings, she didn't want any of her senses to fail her, since she didn't have the power, she had to increase everything else about herself to make up for the lack of power. She had her fixed scouter on, well her own version, that technology was amazing but it was too visible, amazing how the engineers who made those devices never thought about having it fit into a small surface like eye contacts. She wore them with her glasses just to clear suspicion on her face, she was a sneaky one alright.
Someone had reached her before she had an extra thought. Based on his tone, he seemed friendly enough. She tried detecting his power with her eye contacts, it was weaker than hers but at this stage, even weaker opponents should be able to take down stronger ones if they were smart enough, tone wasn't enough to tell her everything about him. He wanted her to state her business, that was fine. "I'm here to look for someone named Guru, he seems to be the leader of the natives on this planet, I met him once before but it seems I need to contact him first before I make any decisions on expansion on the abandoned territory I wish to excavate." She said with a straight face, though turning up a realistic yet fake smile just to make sure she didn't look suspicious.
Though there was another person coming, this time it made her a little more concerned for her own safety, even through that stoic nature of hers she still had some fear inside. Listening to what he said, it seemed the next man was part of a bigger world than hers, hearing those words made her remember about the first time she was on Namek, the same organizations were being said, those were most likely the big players in the area. Time to keep it cool and calm, if she panicked he might kill her on the spot. Having never read the laws of the universe, she was going to keep herself from doing anything that seemed out of place, common sense would be out the window, these were aliens for crying out sake, they were most likely nothing like her.
"I am not part of the paparazzi, I am a scientist myself. I was just looking for permission from the leader of this planet to continue my investigations, I mean no harm." This also brought up an interesting thought, how could she understand these people? How did they speak the same language as her? It seemed all too simple and all too coincidental, maybe some sort of technology these aliens had translated other languages if so she would really like to know how it works.
Mac Cogadh was caught off guard by the alien. He felt the other power signature and noticed that it was at least four times higher than his own. "I don't know who the Galactic Patrol is," the hellspawn said slowly, picking his words carefully, "but I am not here for pictures. I don't even have a camera."
Mac's mind was turning over now, thinking about all the possibilities that could happen if things went wrong. He knew that the new being that he just encountered can definitely grind Mac to a pulp, even if he did tap into his inner demonic energies. Not only that, but the Makyo star wasn't out, so he was out of luck there. 'Tread carefully, Mac,' the half-demon thought to himself, 'There are powers here that will do worse things to you than the tyrant back on Zairne.'
"Allow me to introduce myself since everyone seems a bit hasty. My name is Mac Cogadh," the demon did a slight bow at the waist, his arm going across his chest as he did so. Mac kept his eyes on the woman and the alien. He stood back up, smiling a bit. "I'm only here to train on my own accord since this place is so peaceful, and I've been helping out the natives, too." Mac turned to the woman.
"I don't think that Guru would let you excavate since this place is all too peaceful, but it wouldn't hurt to talk to him. I haven't met him before, so I could ask the Nameks to point me in the general direction and I could accompany you to him. Unless," Mac turned to the Frieza-looking alien, "if you know where Guru is. Nevertheless, it would make for a good bit of adventure for us, eh?"
The demon's stomach growled lightly, and Mac's just closed his eyes. 'Why of all times, now you choose to speak?'
"But of course, it seems that food would be a good thing to go for, right about now... Are any of you hungry?"

This was becoming most interesting. The female looking one claimed she was looking for the leader of this planet, the one known as Elder Guru, although the Kold was quite sure he would be called Elder Guru even if he was a young man, which made him almost giggle in amusement, but he managed not to break his thin smirk. The girl was the first to talk back, saying she was no paparazzi, to which the Kold arched one of his brows. "My dear, I didn't mean you. I meant this menacing looking gentleman here." he said as he pointed his head towards the hybrid demon with a face that would intimidate most children, maybe he even served as inspiration for some bedtime horror stories of some sort, he wondered, having a fun time picturing such absurd scenarios in his mind. He did took notice of the fact she claimed to be a scientist, and if stereotypes were anything to go by, she did look like one.
The Kold chuckled as he was called a bit hasty by the menacing looking man and shrugged when he said he would introduce himself. "Please, do introduce yourself." he briefly said, allowing the man to continue. Oddly enough, that man had manners and that was quite mirthful. Apparently he was here on a journey of self-improvement while also using his time to help the natives and that made the Kold chuckle a bit, touching his chin with the side of his index finger and the print of his thumb; this had become a most interesting encounter, he thought.
Then he began addressing the desire of the female and putting his own thoughts on the matter, and Cygnus wondered why they would even bother with some excavations; not that he thought Namekian grounds had any sort of interesting thing beneath them, and even if it did, he cared not for ruins of an ancient age. Surprised him, though, when the man suggested that Cygnus might know where to find the Guru and he chuckled again, shrugging. "I could take an uneducated guess as to where he is supposed to be, but claiming I know would be a big fat lie. Ohohohoho!" he laughed a bit with his own sincerity; it was so rare that he actually spoke the truth to strangers that it felt quite different when he did, entertaining even.
Finally, he suggested - after the adventure thing - that they should get some food and he could indeed use some food, though hopefully not the namekian cuisine, since, as it was widely known, namekians didn't eat any food. Talk about boring. "If the gentleman would know where to get some decent nourishment, I would very much appreciate it." he said, pausing for a moment and raising his index finger, chuckling a bit. "But first, shall the remaining two of us, me and the scientist lady over there, introduce ourselves? It's only right since you already introduced yourself, Mister Cogadh. Did I say it right? I take your species have clan names and the polite way is to refer to you by that, am I right? Ohohoho. In any case, I'm Cygnus, a humble space merchant looking for some temporary business in this blue and green little wonder of a planet." he said in his polished tone.

Turns out, she was in luck here. He wasn't questioning her rather he was questioning the more questionable looking man here. That was odd, did aliens have the same sense of judging how others looked? It was quite odd to think about the similarities between humans and aliens, there was a lot of similarities that she thought were completely based on luck, because the way humans judge and think are usually based on the past of Earth, now the real question is, who are these thoughts and feelings based off of? It made her think a lot, but she couldn't do that. She had no idea who these people are and her gut was telling her that both of them might be stronger, due to the fact that it is theoretically possible that one could hide their ki strength made it scarier to trust people in this alien world.
The man introduced himself and it was quite the name, it sounded pretty normal. Speaking of which, why did these aliens speak the same language as her? That didn't make much sense, there should be some sort of language barrier between her and the aliens, but no, they spoke the same language! There must be some sort of device that is making translations for everyone on this planet either that or these aliens were equipped with it, and she was out of it, but since it sounded like it translated both ways, she was safe. It was so fascinating!
The other one introduced himself as well as well as ask for other introductions. She had two options, either to tell the truth or lie, well what good would it do if one lied about their name? She could get away with it if he calls her out, she could ignore if they call her by the fake name, but at the same time, these two might have said their real names, she should as well."I'm Sigma. Like the notation, yes." That was a common joke told with her name since it was just the mathematical notation, and that she was a scientist it was the lowest hanging fruit of a joke to try and make her laugh at the least.
One of them was hungry and the other seemed to want to eat as well, though the lack of stomach grumbling was probably hinting at the fact that he was just going to be nice and eat with him or something like that. She might as well go with them. "Well I'll have a bite as well but I really need to get negotiations with the leader going, my research depends on it." She tried sounding nice, but in the end, she wasn't that social of a person either. She only did work with a team of 8 people most of her life, and now that she was faced against aliens, that made things even more awkward, she didn't even know any custom norms for people and she was going to try and socialize with them!? She thought about explanations she'd give for her research that sounded at the very least ethical.
"Well lead the way, Mac." She thought about what these people even liked to eat, she checked their jaw sizes and if she could check how their teeth were shaped and that would give the biggest hints for how she could deduce what their diet would be, but since these are intelligent beings, maybe they changed their evolutionary habits.
"If you know absolutely anything about his location, please feel free to tell me." She explained, before waiting to follow Mac to where he'd take them to eat, that is if he actually wants to.
Mac was caught off guard. His mother had taught him Latin, but for someone to be named after a Latin notation boggled him. He kept that in mind, as well as Cygnus' name. "You don't have to call me Mister. I actually know nothing of the actual clan names of demons. Just Mac is fine."
Mac took in the notion that Cygnus was hungry, but Sigma needed to do some research and negotiations. 'I'll have to make something quick then,' he thought.
"I'm going to take it that everyone here wouldn't mind some alien seafood? I find it gets boring sometimes after eating it a lot, but that's basically all that's here on this planet as well as some frogs. Anyway, it won't take long to grab either of the animals and cook them over a fire."
"Ah, the location of the Guru..." Mac started walking away from the group, deep in thought. He was reaching out, trying to see where the ki signature was for the Namekian Guru. He found it, on a hill quite a distance away from where they were. The nearby Namekian village being the only place that was closest to Guru's lookout, but still far away.
'Should I tell them, is the real question. I can't really trust them, I know nothing about them. This will have to be mulled over with food for a fact, and some questions.'
"Come with me," Mac said as he went to the water's edge and looked down into its depths. "Cygnus, you're a space merchant, am I correct in recalling that? What do you sell?" In the water, Mac could see some type of water creature, swimming slowly. He waited for a while, listening to Cygnus before he slipped into the water, floating down to the bottom. There, Mac crouched, waiting for the sea beast to swim over him. When the time was right, Mac formed a sword out of his ki and jumped up, slashing the creature's stomach and sending it out of the water. Mac surfaced and kicked the creature onto the shore, sending it sailing over Sigma and Cygnus. It landed behind them, writhing in pain as its insides slowly came out and it's green blood seeped onto the ground.
Mac landed next to the creature and ripped its head off, ending its torment. "Now, all I got to do is gut it and cook it. Am I right that your race likes seafood, Cygnus? As well as your human race, Sigma? Also, as a scientist, I'll let you study the organs of this creature if you so wish. I have no use for them at the moment." Mac pulled the innards out and left them on the ground just as a Namek came from the nearby village.
"Is everything alright?" he asked with curiosity, glaring at Cygnus with the memory of an evil that happened long ago.
"Yes, everything is fine, just get a fire ready for us," Mac said, reassuring the Namekian. "We're going to eat." The Namek nodded and went off to the village to do what was asked.
Sigma was quite the peculiar name. He knew the name as a term they used on calculating things, but again, he wasn't familiar with her race's naming patterns so he just nodded in a polite way. "Pleasure to be made your acquaintance.". They were all set on having something to eat, though Cygnus was really wishing it could be something from abroad as he knew Namek had very little to offer. The female one was tagging along just out of etiquette and that much he could tell, as she was quite keen on meeting the Elder Guru as soon as possible, but that was something Cygnus was not interested in doing; he had enough having to deal with those nosy, annoying saiyans upon his arrival and if he was to go greet the leader of the slugs, he knew it would be even more bureaucratic, the menacing looking man though, seemed quite disposed to go there, going as far as to try and pinpoint his location, stunt he apparently was successful real quick. Well, Cygnus wasn't new to bullshit, so he didn't doubt he might have just been telling her he did that to score some brownie points, but he couldn't care less about that.
His red eyes rested upon the man and he nodded. "So, Mac it is! Good we all know each other now. Makes things more intimate and easy." he said, chuckling a bit, but out of politeness. "And I do like seafood, although I give preference to Southern galaxy's delicatessen, I guess I can take some namekian seafood as a fast food kind of deal. I don't mean to be picky!" he said with a smile on his thin lips. But apparently they weren't going to buy their food - to which he was kind of grateful as he found himself in quite a financial duress at the moment - they would hunt it. Cygnus wasn't quite sure he liked this barbaric way of acquiring his food, but he wasn't going to be the prick to bitter the guy's fun, so he just tagged along, keeping his annoyance hidden with the politeness of his smile.
Small talk. One way to keep people from looking awkward. The man asked what was his trade and he quickly responded to that. "Not was much as a merchant of goods, but a merchant of services. Me and my associate work with repairing spaceships. We also sell and buy parts of the ships so we can perform our business. Nothing too fancy, but we thought Namek would be a good place to visit, due to their lower technological level when compared to the rest of... Well, at this point I should probably say the "remaining" of the galactic trade federation, ohohohoho!" and he laughed in a bit of a sarcastic tone, as he was addressing the fact that a good part of the universe, the civilized words and even the powerful factions of the Universe had been wiped out by one group or another.
As Mac took care of hunting their food, Cygnus just watched by Sigma's side and when she asked what he knew about the place, he shrugged. "This would be the most boring place in the entire cosmos, if not for the famous dragon balls. Too much trouble, in my opinion, but many people are ready to kill and to die for those things." he said, keeping the smirk on his thin lips. He stared at the Namekian who appeared as Mac began to prepare the food and he noticed that kind of look, but he just nodded to the slugman and smiled, as he didn't want to cause any trouble for the time being.

Another thought had come to Sigma's head. Maybe Mac could speak her language due to the fact that he is a demon, a being that is vastly different from most depictions of life. Which could mean he has something entirely unique to him that she could never deduce back on Earth. Maybe he held the secrets on what she should be doing and what she needed to do to figure out more things about the world beyond her world, the vast interconnected web of the universe that humans were never a part of, which makes sense due to the lack of support for intergalactic missions by humans, the farthest a human had gone in records was to the end of the Oort Cloud.
At the least Mac took consideration of what she needed to do, he wanted to make a quick meal which was great. Since she came here she at the very least had studied the DNA of animals and plants, they had only a 30% commonality with Earthling species but overall there were not many compounds that were unknown nonetheless any that are harmful to her to consume, sure the bacteria might be something that'll get her eventually, but due to the fact that the oceans were so chockfull of the microbes, she developed a vaccine for around 20,000 species of bacteria that made her safer and made her feel safer as well, this was a cold and harsh environment, not so much literally but figuratively it is. An unknown place filled with strange beings that she doesn't know but can also speak her language!
She listened to Mac and Cygnus' conversation silently, making sure not to stare at them too much as she had heard what Cygnus does, he was a merchant for ships both in repairing, creating, buying and selling parts."I have a ship myself. It looks quite old and might not sell for much, but tell me. What is the currency of the Universe? Most likely the money from Earth will be useless since Earth isn't very connected in the web of the universe unlike maybe this planet, or the planet you are from." Sigma explained, trying to get some answers. She needed to get more knowledge on these people before she could go on and live like normal, their culture seemed pretty average, but they were aliens. "Also I have the question of fuel, what is the fuel that your ship uses? If I can I'd like a sample." If their ships could travel intergalactically, that would be millenia better than hers.
Having known that the human race was known by name by Mac raised a few questions for her. Were humans that well known and the humans never knew about it? Life outside of space was confirmed but aside from a couple people coming in and almost destroying the planet, they didn't have much to talk about when it came to the other societies of space, well at the least that's what she knows, maybe the queen and the past leaders have been making negotiations with these aliens, or demons.
"Ah yes, I like seafood. As for the organs, I can analyze them later." She saw a native come and she quickly analyzed the native, making sure she put him in her database, though she noticed the glare that he placed on Cygnus Are his people not welcome here? Is there some sort of fighting between these people? A case of racism, or in this scenario, speciesism? She thought to herself while keeping a stoic face, the straightest one she could make out.
Hearing the conversation switch to something about dragon balls. "Dragon Balls? What are those?" She had heard legends of Dragon Balls back on Earth, but she never really confirmed these studies, the only scientist that wrote about them was a famous one, but it just seemed too good to be true. She needed confirmation that they were talking about the same thing here. "Judging by what you said they seem to be an item of immesureable power. What do they do?" She asked, she had a hunch but she needed confirmation.
Her nose picked something up and she wondered what that could be. It smelled like food, that must be what they were going to have. She took out a plastic bottle of water and drank from it.
"I personally don't think this planet would be the most boring place." She commented, scientifically this planet would be amazing to study and also profit from. "It's a big planet with beings that are autotrophs. There's a lot to study."
"From what my parents told me," Mac Cogadh piped in, "they are ancient orbs that originated right here on this planet. The orbs here are bigger than the ones on Earth, but they are said to grant any wish. The Namekian dragon balls will grant you three wishes, while the Earth dragon balls only one. But both contain a dragon that comes out of the orbs if all seven are gathered together and the words are spoken to summon the dragon. Hence the name dragon balls." Mac had remembered that from his father. The hybrid still remembered his human dad, telling stories about great warriors from the past and the ones that still lingered on in the present. "If you're a scientist, I'm sure you've heard or read about them from Dr. Briefs, am I right?"
The demon led the group to the closest Namekian settlement, where a fire was already burning for them, just how Mac had asked the Namekian to do. The hellspawn proceeded to shove a stick through the carcass and started to cook it over the fire. The crackle and popping of the sticks were very pleasing to the half demon. It reminded him of a simpler time, a peaceful time when he was younger. "So, Cygnus, I'm guessing you have some knowledge about Saiyan Space Pods. Do you know if the fuel that's in them ever goes out after a certain time, or if they even have fuel? I have one back on my birth planet. I was thinking of going back to it at some point in time, but it seems that things there have gotten a bit brutal." Mac Cogadh turned the food over the fire, making sure that it was being cooked properly on all sides.
"I wouldn't call the Nameks complete autotrophs. They generally drink water as their main source of nourishment. In fact, I think most of the life that you see here, besides the trees and grass, depends on the water as the main source of food." Mac continued to cook the food until it was a bit burnt on the outside. He took it off the fire and tore a small piece from it, sampling it. The flesh was that of a fish, stringy with the fat very thing in between the meat, but Mac was sure to make it juicy and not dry, different from how his father cooked it. Mac brought out some big broad leaves for them to hold and eat from and gave them each a share of the food.
While they ate, a Namek passed by the demon, and he pulled the slug to him. “I never bothered to ask,” he said in a whisper, “but over there.” The demon pointed way off in the distance, where there a somewhat small pillar of dirt. “Is that where the Guru resides?”
Theanyonewas silent for a moment before answering. “Yes. That’s the Rukiga island, He resides there, watching over the planet and waiting for any one who wishes to train or have need of the dragon balls to visit him.”
“Thank you,” Mac said, ending the conversation. He turned to the group and smiled. “Well, to answer your question earlier about wanting to know more about this region, you are on the island of Maima. To the left of us is the main continent called Shell, and due south of us is the Rukiga island, that’s where Guru’s look out is.” Mac smiled and ate his portion of the food he had set aside for himself. “So, tell me, where do each of you come from?” the demon asked, already knowing half the answer to the question. He was curious though, and wanted to also know what Sigma wanted to excavate on such a peaceful planet. It’s true what Cygnus said before, that there’s not much to dig up besides maybe bones of Nameks and other creatures.
‘Maybe that’s just what she wants,’ Mac thought. ‘The bones to study and grow her research and bring more knowledge to the Earthlings.'

"Just credits, but usually people will be quite open to take other forms of payment and other currencies, as long as they hold value." he casually said, wondering why did she even bother with such matters; as long as a person can do business it was all good, but he was even more surprised when she asked about fuel to the point he couldn't hold himself and he laughed. "Fuel?! Ohohohohoh! We stopped caring about such things centuries ago. We have a core and it runs on forever!" he said in a bit of an amused tone, finding how primitive the earthling woman was quite entertaining. In any case, the subject changed from the small space trivia to the dragon balls. The Kold narrowed his eyes with just how much he knew about them, it was almost like his father was really a pro regarding the wishing orbs and he just clapped in amusement. "You are a real pro! You know a lot!" he commended the menacing looking one.
As he had already explained about the fuel, he thought it was okay not to answer it again. "I can definitely take a look at it, but my associate, Lemo, is the real specialist! I'm just in charge of the actual business!" he explained, indirectly offering his services to the man. As they went to talk about the namekians, he just stared with the smile on his face while mentally ignoring the subject; he didn't give a damn about the native race of this planet, but he did focus again when he asked this random namekian where the Guru resided and he confirmed. They were so open about it now. "Is that because they have the saiyans protection now? I wonder..." he thought to himself as his interest in the matter suddenly spiked.
Cygnus sit down near the food, on top of a rock and then, as he was asked about his home world, he chuckled. "Planet Kold no 1, or Planet Bris, depending on how you know it by.

Sigma had listened to the explanation of the Dragon Balls, they're exactly as Dr.Briefs had discussed in her meetings and her books, before she died she had let out many papers that had never before been seen by the public and there even was small backing behind the balls themselves, everyone wanted them in the scientific community but many didn't have enough power to actually have people go for them, and hearing of the dangers of having one turned a lot of scientists off due to their lack of knowledge in fighting or their lack of ability to create androids.
The conversation had shifted from the Dragon Balls to talking about what the ships used, apparently, they didn't use any sort of fuel, but rather they used a core that somehow never decays. Looks like he had his definition of fuel to be different than the Earth's scientific community had since they stopped using chemical processes to power their ships and rather used the energy of nuclear fusion and cold fission. It took centuries of work but they developed cores the same way, however, these cores could only last about 20 years in space before the process stopping since any more atoms in there might cause a malfunction and cause deaths of all humans alike.
"Well I know for a fact that even us Earthlings had stopped using chemical processes on their spaceships for centuries now, but I was wondering which process you used in your cores. Nuclear fusion/fission and if so, what atoms do you use? is it Photonic Propulsion? Or something beyond that." She wondered how fast the ships traveled and that might give an estimation on what they would be using but that would require a lot of math and she didn't have enough supercomputers in her ship to do so, she did only have one working quantum computer, and 5 other supercomputers. Though they could be using something like Blackhole energy in their cores, it's theoretically possible for humans to use and harness but that's all it was, a theory.
She heard that remark about how Namekians give themselves energy. If it wasn't photosynthesis or really anything of the sort, it didn't make sense to her, it wasn't even chemosynthesis. It was something new, hydro-synthesis. Which didn't make sense in her mind, sure splitting the bonds of Hydrogen and Oxygen might be very useful in creating energy but it wasn't something like stored energy of ATP, there was something off with that statement, if she could get a dead Namekian to study then that'd be amazing!
The confirmation of the location of Guru was given to her and that had her face brighten a bit, she was quite happy with these results and she wanted to go soon enough, but she had to stay calm and eat with these people. She couldn't be a kid who was rushing to go home after buying a new toy. She looked at the food and had her contacts analyze it, the contacts gave her information about it, the molecules found were completely harmless to humans however they were new, and the possibilities of an allergic reaction might occur if she decides to take a bite out of it. She kept analyzing the food, her eyes looking away from it to hide suspicion but the contacts kept analyzing. It's mostly protein and fats. Though some of the proteins are rare on Earth but abundant in that fish. Microbes aren't found in that dish either, he's cooking it well. The risk for prions in the meat are nonexistent, it seems safe enough to eat.
She sighed in relief, she wasn't asked any questions either, all of this was lucky to her. She needed to create some more small talk before they start asking her questions as well. Sure she was calm in this situation but she still needed to be cautious, she didn't show any signs of fear yet one could clearly see that she wasn't the type to be close to.
"So how are your home-planets like?" She asked, waiting to hear a story.
Mac Cogadh was lost when Cygnus started talking about cores, especially when Sigma gave her own input about cores started talking about nuclear fusion and fissions and photonic propulsions. The demon-human hybrid was a simple being; a bit barbaric at times but, nonetheless, a simple person. The demon had smiled at Cygnus' praise. "My father knew a lot about the dragon balls. He traveled a lot when he was younger and discovered much." Mac took note that Cygnus was from Bris, which his mother had told him was one of the coldest planets one could encounter, giving Mac a somewhat guess that Cygnus liked colder places. Mac also took note that Sigma was staring at the food, almost as if she was studying it before she started eating it.
'Curiouser and curiouser,' the demon thought to himself. as he started to eat his food. He heard Sigma ask about home-planets. Mac almost choked on his food as he thought back to it. A wretched place that was doomed to die if he wasn't quick about doing something.
"I'm a half breed. Father and Earthling and Mother a Demon. I was birthed on a far-off planet called Tarvos, but it was changed to Zairne by a demon with a Majin tattoo on his forehead. Before, the planet was a peaceful place where one could train in peace, like on this planet here. But once the demon came, the people of the planet had a two-year war with the demon before most of us were killed off and were forced to stop fighting. I lost my parents in that war and I was at their side when they fell. Most of the people became slaves to the demon, started erecting statues and carving his face into mountains. They were even forced to make a castle for him and they all gave their fortunes to the damned tyrant." Mac Cogadh was getting impassioned about what happened back on Zairne, but he stopped himself from going on any further. He closed his eyes and relaxed. The demon resumed eating his food, tasting now bland to him. "What of you, Cygnus? What is your planet like?"
The demon put his food off to the side and reclined back on the grass, listening intently to Cygnus as he talked.

The Kold arched one of his brows to this weird earthling scientist. She did like to ask some weird questions about some ancient and even archaic means of limited technology to which he had absolutely no interest, but he didn't want to be mean. "Well... I definitely do not have an answer to that. Maybe you should talk to my associate, Lemo, if you want to discuss the technicalities of the business. I handle the negotiation part of it. Ohohohoho!" he said, faking a kind tone in his words. Then he darted his eyes towards the menacing looking man as he began to explain his background. He was a half-blood and that explained a bit why he looked to off and yet like nothing really. He mentioned a planet Cygnus had not heard of, but then again, there were many zones of the universe that were outside of the Planet Trade Organization jurisdiction - not for lack of trying to expand, though.
Train, he said. He wondered why so many races had such a crazy love for training. If he was to be honest to himself, the reason he was considered powerful, above average, was because of his race's potential, otherwise he was pretty sure he wouldn't stronger than even Lemo, who was quite the prodigy for the standard power of his race. The Kold's expression became a tad bit more serious as he spoke of war. He grabbed a piece of the food and chewed it as he listened to the story. The food wasn't good, but it wasn't bad either. "War is war and history is written by winners. In the end, it is what it is, eh?" he shrugged as he took another large bite of the food before the man asked what his planet was like, which was the same question the female made and the motivating factor for this whole conversation now.
"Cold... Big... With a Big Tree in the middle that screwed it badly before it made it better with some crazy reverse engineering done by a man named Laufey. It's not a good place to be. Never was. I don't care about it." he was quite cold with his own words, but if anything was clear was that he had no love for the planet he was born at. If anything, it was clear he actually disliked it to some degree.
