Holly's magical capabilities were impressive. He was quite surprised when she said her ki was actually really weak, but she more than made it up with this crazy magical potential and he was completely mesmerized when her cloud form began to glow and take shape. She even skipped completely the hybrid form between an afterlife body and soul and went straight to her full physical form. One thing that she would quickly notice was that her body felt somewhat lighter and less draining. The sole act of existing was... easier in the afterlife and that was precisely the reason why Galen told her that training in this realm was far better than in the living world, and thus they could seize this opportunity to polish themselves so their plan of restoring their home world and mankind wouldn't be a foolish dream, but a palpable reality.
As she finished forming herself, his smile widened and he chuckled, happy that she managed to accomplish that so quickly; he was honestly expecting them to spend at least a day doing that. "Impressive, your grace!" he said, reverting back to his more polite and formal tone now that she was in front of him in all her regal glory. As the light around her body slowly faded away, truly revealing her corporal form, he notice that something was a bit off as her body shape was being quite noticeable. Galen narrowed his eyes, not yet grasping what was going on when, as the light vanished completely, he noticed what was actually going on.
His face went completely red and, although he managed to take a look at her, he quickly covered his eyes with his right hand and turned his back to her. His heart was beating like crazy as he got completely embarrassed by the situation that happened. "Y-your majesty... Y-you need to... Ahn... Think n-not only about your... b-body, but... The g-garments as well..." he gulped as he could feel the cold sweat running down his left temple.
It was not as if he didn't appreciate the view, but he thought it was very disrespectful of him to keep staring, though he felt awkwardly tempted. "Clear your thoughts, moron!" he thought to himself.

[Thread PL:210,442]
[Permanent PL: 2,314,862]
There! She had it now! She was holding onto that energy and was refusing to let it slip away. Holly pressed forward, expanding her energy and focusing on her body. She could feel sensations steadily returning to her. Her senses came to life as a light emanate from her.
She felt just a tad bit proud at the compliment Galen threw her way. Pride that she thought had been lost. He found it for her in the span of a few minutes. The least she could do was give her all to return to the world of the living.
As the light faded away, Holly noticed something was off. She could feel the air directly along her body. Galen turned around in a hurry to look away at her. Holly looked down, registering the fact that she didn't have any clothes.
With how deep Holly’s blush was, the only way her face could have gotten any redder was if her blood vessels started to burst. Which they seemed poised to do. Holly covered her most personal parts with her arm, raising her voice at Galen.
“Why didn't you tell me I had to visualize my clothes too?! Now I’m… just stay turned around until I say it's okay to look!”
In truth she was more embarrassed than upset at Galen. It took her a minute, but she managed to calm down enough to concentrate again. There was another flash of light, and Holly was wearing her preferred attire. She cleared her throat in order to help her talk normally again.
“Alright, you may now turn around. I’m sorry for yelling at you. I was just startled by what happened. You did help me get my body back, so I’ll consider that payment for helping me get my body back.”
A small smile graced Holly’s lips. There was still a faint pink shade of embarrassment, but she was taking this all with good humor. How could she stay upset after getting her body back? She owned him a considerable debt now.
It was a very embarrassing moment and he wouldn't even blame her if she was to get totally livid with him. When she harshly inquired as to why he didn't tell her she had to visualize her clothes, he gulped. "I... I k-kind of... Forgot that detail!" he said and at first it didn't sound like an important detail, but to be fair, Galen had been gifted his afterlife body and not generated one, so he wasn't all that used to the generating process of it. He could still feel the heart pounding on his chest and he was angry with himself that part of him was feeling all fuzzy and giddy that he saw her like that, he felt like an old perv, but that's what you get for training under the turtle hermit, right?
In any case, if she could generate a body, she most definitely could generate clothes just as fast and so she did and then she informed him he could turn around and he reluctantly did so, uncovering first his eye before taking his hand off his face completely. Holly apologized for yelling at him and he shook his head, saying there was no need to apologize at all. He coughed, though, when she said that the fact that he ended up seeing her naked would be the payment for helping her get her body back. "So sorry, your grace! I feel really embarrassed! And please, don't think too much about it! Don't have to call it payment or anything, I helped you without wanting anything in exchange!" and he blushed even more and scratched the back of his head, feeling he might sound somewhat ungrateful and immediately tried to mend it. "Not saying it wasn't a worthy payment! Y-you are a beautiful lady! B-but... I... Well... Nevermind! I'm just making an even greater fool of myself right now!!" he lowered his head and scratched the back of his head even more now.
Then he took a very deep breathe and managed to muster enough of a grip over himself to be able to stare back at her. "She looks cute in that dress..." but he quickly shook the thought out of his head and that helped him crack a smile once again. "Well... Sorry for the rough start... But hey, I'm impressed! I mean, I knew you could do it! But that easy? You are really talented, your majesty!" and he sounded really proud of her. Then, chuckling a bit, he continued. "Experiment your new body! It's much lighter than the living one. Even your stamina is far greater! And after I train you, you will be even stronger!" he said, chuckling a bit more, unable to help himself but to feel excited about this alliance between the two main protectors of Earth, the Queen and the Future Guardian.

Holly had to clamp herself down to keep herself from furthering chastising Galen. He clearly made an honest mistake and didn't deserve to be yelled at. Still, the Magi’s irritation was clear to see A vein throbbed on her forehead. Although that gradually ebbed down and stopped altogether. Her irritation had passed by relatively quickly.
As a matter of fact, her mood lightened surprisingly quickly. Although how could it not with how flustered Galen was over the whole incident. He wasn't even the one who materialized naked. Holly couldn’t help it: she started giggling at the other human.
“You don’t have to take a joke so seriously Galen. I know you did this without expecting a reward. I appreciate that you looked away the moment you realized what had happened. I'd you had kept staring then I would have taken it more seriously.”
She also liked the compliments that he gave her about her looks. Granted that was far from the only time anyone had praised her for her looks. It felt more sincere coming from Galen. As did the praise towards her abilities. She held her hand up in front of her face, turning it and examining it.
“I do feel like I have more energy than I did when I was alive. Hopefully your training can accommodate someone who uses magic over their ki. It’s a little different, as I said before.”
Holly began to walk away, stretching her legs out to get used to her restored form. She turned her head to look back at Galen, her bond hair swaying gently with her movement.
“Why don't we take a walk while I explain things to you? I need to adjust to having a body again, and My ancestors would die all over again if they knew I was telling an outsider family secrets that we’ve kept for centuries. But I can't very well be taught by you if you don't know how my powers work, can I?"
Holly gave Galen a smile, then turned and slowly walked off. She took in the wondrous view, as well as the sensations she was feeling again. She really took her five senses for granted. After being deprived of them for a period of time, she now realized how much of a luxury they could be.
Galen did feel more at ease when he noticed Holly was now giggling and he couldn't help but to sigh deeply in relief. "Thank goodness..." he thought to himself. He nodded when Holly addressed him but decided not to say anything about the topic as it would only make him blush heavily again and he felt he didn't quite match the red look on his cheeks and thankfully the topic was quickly diverted from their initial accident and he managed to crack his usual carefree smile, nodding when she mentioned the training's ability to accommodate to her special set of skill. "I believe it will, your grace. I know a little bit of magic, not nearly close to your level, but I would place this one set of skills I have more towards magic than actual ki manipulation. It's nothing like the rest of my techniques." he said with quite the confident tone. Truth be told, he was thinking about the Evil Containment Wave and how it worked. It didn't quite rely on his pure power or his ki manipulation, it was something beyond it. True he never thought about calling it magic before, but it seemed quite fitting now.
Galen was trying not to blush, but he couldn't help but to blush once again when she turned around to stare at him once again, with her golden locks dancing with the wind. The human gulped and gazed away, but it was clear he was a bit shy; he was infatuated, but he was doing his best to neglect those rising fillings that came as butterflies inside his stomach. Her invitation was quickly attended as he nodded and started walking at a fast pace so he could be by her side and then he adjusted the rhythm so they would walk at the same pace. "I don't mean to pry into your ancestors affairs, but I do have to agree that understanding how your magic and ki work would help be a lot in adapting the training for your needs. But worry not, Holly!" and he chuckled, dropping to a less formal tone for now. "Your secret is safe with me. Cross my heart!" he chuckled once again, with the gentle smile of his. "I would share my own secrets with you as well... But I fear I'm not from a very interesting background! Hehehe!" he said, scratching the back of his head.
He was a farmer and she was royalty. It was fun how fate messed with Galen's path. From just a farm boy from the East, to a wandering swordsman, to the Tower Keeper of Korin's Tower and now to the aspiring Guardian of the world. Maybe he was blessed by a star of some sort. never would he have thought he would come so far, especially by being just a human. But as some say, greatness comes from the heart.

Holly didn't think it was possible to make him stop being so formal. She wasn’t Queen of anything up here. Maybe this was just his way of being polite. She smiled back at the young human, a bit of curiosity present in her eyes.
“That does save us some time. It makes me wonder where you learned any magic from to begin with. Usually it's only connected to certain groups, or among those who pass down the knowledge. It isn't something that someone can come across on their own. Unless if they were predispositioned to be more magical from the beginning.”
Holly wasn’t naive. She could tell what Galen’s constant blushing and nervousness meant. Well, this wasn't the first time someone had been infatuated with her. As long as it didn't get in the way of things then it wouldn't be an issue. Galen would most likely get used to interacting with her in due time.
“Perhaps your background is more interesting than you believe. There will be time for pleasantries later though. If I didn't trust you I wouldn't be telling you all of these secrets. First I need to elaborate on what I told you earlier. Try sensing my energy. How strong would you say I am going from what you can sense?"
Once Galen caught up to her, she made sure that she kept pace of him. She didn’t want to get too far ahead of him. She walked side by side with her fellow human, holding her hands behind her back and taking in the scenery around them.
Galen blinked twice when she asked how he learned Magic to begin with. "Well... It was kinda by accident, after I climbed Korin's Tower, met the ghost of Master Korin and drank the Holy Water. Then I managed to learn some bit of magic so I could actually grow the magical senzu beans. For most of my life, that was it as for magic, but when I died for the first time..." and he paused to chuckle for a bit, resting both his hands on his hips. "It's so funny to speak of death so casually, hahaha!" he interrupted his own words to add that comment, but then shook his head and continued with what he was saying. "Then, when I met Master Mutaito here in the afterlife, he taught me his style, which involves the use of both ki and magic and a learned a few magic skills, one quite powerful." he explained with a smile on his face.
He blushed again when she said his background was somehow interesting, but she didn't linger in that subject for long and then she proceed to imply she trusted him and he nodded. "I appreciate that, your grace." and he truly did; Galen would cherish this trust and make sure she wouldn't regret giving him her confidence. Then, she asked him to try and sense her energy and he arched his brows slightly and then proceeded to focus on the task at hand. For a moment he couldn't really believe himself. He narrowed his eyes and frowned his brows as he analyzed the ki signature coming from her body and once again it didn't match to the potential and powers she demonstrated back on Earth. "That's odd..." that was his first comment as he kept the pace with her, walking by her side.
Galen touched his chin with a thoughtful expression on his face. "Are you suppressing your power? Because what I sense from you, while far greater than the average human by... Maybe a hundred times, it's still quite modest in comparison to what I have today and to the potential you displayed down on Earth... If almost feels like the power I had when I was just a wanderer a long time ago, before I was even formally trained as a martial artist..." he said with a slightly confused tone; it didn't make sense.

Holly was looking at Galen incredulously. Then again who wouldn't be skeptical if someone told them that they climbed a tower when they could fly to meet up with a ghost who gave them holy water and magical beans? It was a fairytale and ghost story woven together.
Meeting someone to train him in the afterlifeweirdly made some kind of sense. As fantastical as all of this was, it was coming from Galen. A guy who probably didn't know how to lie even if he wanted to. So she could take what he said at face value.
“Your life has been more interesting than mine. Pray tell me, when did meeting a ghost become a mundane task? It’s not everyday that someone climbs a tower to meet one. Don’t sell yourself short Galen, for you’ve accomplished quite a lot.”
Holly walked beside Galen, watching with interest as he tried to sense her energy. As she expected, he couldn't make any headway. Try as he might, he couldn't possibly sense it.
“Even if you were fighting me that's all you would ever sense from me. All living things have ki, even if they can't use it efficiently or at all. Plants, animals, even normal humans have ki. Magi like me don’t use our ki though. We use magic, an energy that cannot be sensed the way ki can be sensed. What you're feeling is just a shell: the ki that I do not use.”
Holly looked ahead, a thoughtful expression on her face as she continued watching. It was amazing that there were different types of energy that people could utilize. The things one could accomplish with magic or ki could be wondrous as they could be terrible.
“Those who dive deep into magic arts like myself use a different energy than ki. It has its advantages, such as making people underestimate you when they focus on your ki signature. The biggest advantage it offers is that you can utilize more energy than you could with ki. So you can perform more advanced techniques before exhausting yourself than someone using ki could.”
Holly paused to let all of this process in Galen’s head. Introducing someone to magic like this would be trying for the other person involved. It was an entirely new concept after all.
“It isn't without its flaws though. It’s harder to control than ki, so Magi have to commit to mastering it completely. As a result we have to forgo other forms of fighting. We’re not very fond of close quarter combat. Although given that you use a sword, I imagine it must be favorable for you.”
Holly looked over at Galen, giving him a slight smile. One could easily tell that he was very familiar with getting close and personal. From the equipment he had to how developed his muscles were, it was clear that he spent a great deal of time training his body as well as practicing techniques. Something that Holly found herself appreciating the longer she looked at him. It was a balance that Holly was likely never going to achieve, even if she wanted to.
He never really thought about his life as an interesting one. Quite the opposite;, he thought of it as quite the simple and chill life for the most part, even when he was on his Tower, taking care of his duties such as growing the beans and watching over the Korin's Holy Grounds and the Karinga Tribe, though when he looked at it from Holly's perspective, it did make it seem like an extraordinary life and that made him chuckle. "Well... When you say it like that, it does seem quite the thrilling life... But to be honest, I was usually just watching over the land and the people that lived there and training with my sword." he said with a cheerful tone, missing those peaceful days and the people he cared for; Galen was a lonely man, but he wasn't completely alone.
The subject then changed to her own peculiar power and as she explained it to him, he grew even more interested in this Magi thing. To say he was bewildered was an understatement as he never could have thought that there was such a depth to magic. He thought that the pinnacle of it was when Arion, one of his masters, managed to create the Earth's dragon balls, or when he created objects out of the blue, but what Holly was telling him? That was above and beyond. The complexity behind the way it worked definitely explained as to why it wasn't possible to fully sense it. Galen came up with a theory, inside his own mind, that it worked in such a complex way inside the body that there was no way it would give out the same feeling that ki gave; ki came from sheer and pure power within an individual's core, whereas magic came from a more composite procedure.
"Wow... That's... Deep. I don't think I can fully grasp the picture, but I did help me understanding a bit more. Thank you for taking your time explaining it all to me, Holly." he expressed his gratitude with his large smile, falling silent again as she began to explain the flaws of this mystical power. Not being able to properly fight in close combat was indeed quite the dangerous flaw and he wondered if she had ever been submitted to martial arts training in her life and, by the looks if it, the answer was likely negative.
"Yes, I do favour close combat. I've been a swordsman ever since I was a child and I'm the current master of a style known as Kikoukenjutsu." he started. "Most of my techniques relies on physical strength, speed and bladework." he chuckled, looking at his own hands for a moment. "And before my time in the afterlife before I briefly resurrected, it was pretty much all I had going on for me. Luckily that changed due to the training I was subjected to while here. Which is why I think it will favour you as well. I do not excel on those, but knowing them allows me to have better odds while fighting. And I hope I can help you with that as well." and he widened his smile. "Because I truly hope you won't die again for a very long time!" he chuckled.

“A normal life sword training and meeting ghosts. I’m not entirely convinced that you know what normal is. Unless if that is usual for where you grew up.”
So Galen hadn’t fully understood it after all. Well that was to be expected. She already had to simplify things quite a bit, so she had left out some of the nuances of magic. Holly looked up at the sky as they walked, a thoughtful look on her face.
“Think of it like this. There are different types of energy that we use for power. Electric, Solar, wind, Nuclear… we’d be here all day if I listed them all. All of these sources produce energy that we can use. Yet each of them have their own unique properties. The relationship between magic and ki is similar to that. They’re both energies that allow us to use techniques, but they have different traits from each other.”
Holly looked back over at Galen as he explained his fighting style to her. Indeed he preferred a close range fighting style. He expressed further interest in teaching her the techniques that he had learned in the afterlife. She nodded solemnly, pursing her lips when he mentioned death.
“I hope we can succeed in restoring Earth. I suppose whether or not I die again depends in part on how well my training goes with you. Earth needs more strong defenders to deal with what we fought against today. We were sorely outmatched by our opponents.”
Different sources of energy, that made sense. So similar, yet so different, magic and ki. Galen felt like he was beginning to understand it better and when he thought of it, the way some of the techniques from the Mutaito school were indeed essentially different from the ones that he most commonly used with his normal ki. "I believe I'm getting a better understanding now." he commented as she explained, before he went on with the narrative of how his fighting style was. When he mentioned death, she seemed to be a bit affected by that and he took notice.
Their goals in restoring Earth were aligned and he was happy for that. "I'm sure we will be able to." he reassured the monarch, chuckling when she said that - basically - her life depended on his training and he wondered if his masters were disappointed he failed and died again. Galen nodded at the statement they needed more defenders, strong ones. "Indeed we do. Once I claim my position as the planet's Guardian, I will work toward bringing the Z-Fighters back to action. We need to be ready, because, chances are, they will come again." he said with a more serious tone.
Galen had many ideas on how to better protect the Earth, but first they needed to improve and then they needed time to prepare. He wanted to spend his time on the afterlife, not rush himself and learn as much as possible so they could have a better chance of success.

Galen was getting a good notion of the basic concept of the relationship between magic and ki. He wouldn't understand the nuances of her abilities if she just explained it here without much context, so she had kept things simple.
Holly looked over at Galen with interest as he talked about how he planned on getting Earth well protected. Although there were a few terms Galen threw out that she was unfamiliar with.
“The shoe is on the other foot now. I don't understand it when said that you would claim the position of Earth’s guardian. What exactly does that entail? I’m also not sure what a Z-fighter is. Is it some type of task force made for defending the planet?”
Holly’s deep green eyes kept themselves locked on Galen. She knew she didn't have to worry about walking into anything, since there was nothing directly in her way as far as she could see. Talking with Galen was interesting to say the least. There were many emotions swirling beneath their conversation. Holly was still trying to sort everything out, but she wouldn't let that stop her from doing what she had to do to revive and protect Earth.
Galen chuckled as the situations got reversed and then he started explaining everything to the best of his knowledge. "Well... It will sound weird at first, but, to the layman, the Guardian is what some people and religions pray to as the God of the World, the God of Earth." and he knew it sounded shocking to say the least, but he had that simple smile on his face, completely untainted by vanity of any sort. "But in reality, the Guardian is more of a... Well... A watcher and a protector, the main shield of the planet, the one who is suppose to be guiding the warriors who protect it, who are known as the Z-Fighters. Those warriors rose again, generation after generation, always successfully restoring the planet from damage and destruction. It may seem like a bedtime story, but when I ascended to become the Keeper of Korin's Tower, one of my duties was to learn the history of the planet, the history people don't usually no, not even among royalty." he added, trying to explain why it was likely that she, even though she came from a royal line. "During my lifetime, Earth had four Guardians and they all fell for different reasons and that is one of the reasons why the planet went through such a chaotic state. Without its guidance and without the Z-Fighters, Earth is vulnerable to harm." he sighed as he gazed away to the skies of Heaven.
"Last time I was here, like I said, I was trained by many people. The first one was King Kai, which is the... Well... He is a Shinjin, the deity that looks over the Northern Galaxy, where our planet used to be located. He also told me it was my duty to take over the mantle of the Guardian and later, when I met Master Mutaito, the very first Z-Fighter our world ever had, also trained me so I could become the Guardian. It's a call I have to answer." and he stared back at Holly with a kind smile on his face, though his eyes seemed anxious with the burden he was to carry. "And I will not cower before that responsibility. My body, heart and soul will become a shield and a sword for Earth!" and despite the burden, it was still burning with fiery will-power. "Our world will come to exist again! And we will be the pillars of its peace!" he added.

Holly smiled softly at Galen. Just talking with him was very enjoyable. His cheerful attitude just rubbed off onto her and eased her into the conversation. She didn’t know if that was how everyone reacted to him, but it was affecting her that way.
“I didn't take you to be someone who had an ego. Don't expect me to bow down and worship you as a God. I like you, but becoming a devout follower to you isn’t something I intend to happen.”
Her words were a little harsh. But if the widening smile she had was any indication, she was simply teasing her fellow Earthling. The fact that Holly could engage in any kind of banter so soon after her death was a miracle in of itself.
The history Galen talked about promised to be rich and deep. Holly was always fascinated with ancient legends and lore. She found it particularly interesting to read about the feats her family did in the days when using magic in the open was common practice. This was even more interesting than that though.
“I still can't believe you felt that your life was uninteresting. So the Z-fighters are defenders of Earth. I had a plan called Project Saint. It was designed to strengthen those who had high potential and turn them into capable fighters. I had one candidate picked out, a girl called Shiori. I did give the order to make sure she got off Earth immediately if the situation for it. I pray that she escaped safely.”
Holly stopped walking, looking down at the ground. She clasped her hands together, closing her eyes in a solemn gesture. If the Gods had any kind of sympathy left for them, then maybe just one human was still alive. Shiori had been through so much already: if she kept her life, then that would be one small mercy.
Galen had a sense of humour and that was clear when he laughed at her tease. "Hahahahaha! Yeah... I mean, we had Gods that liked to be worshiped, Gods that were guided by hatred, Gods guided by resignation... I admired some of them, others not so much, but for myself, I plan to, first and foremost, be a Guardian, and not a god, so I can forgive you for not worshiping me!" he said, winking at her amidst his laughing. "And I appreciate you liking me, I like you as well, you are a very pleasant company, your grace!" he chuckled in a light-hearted tone.
Holly's idea of those Saints was quite interesting and that made Galen nod. "Throughout history, the Guardian has been known for training those people with potential. And the Guardian and his assistants, such as the Tower Keeper, have mystical... No... Magical tools to help the Z-Fighters and those who fight for justice." he said, pausing briefly to hear her talk about this Shiori girl. Galen nodded and also clasped his hands together, making a short yet respectful bow. "I pray for her safety as well, but if she is here, we will find her and bring her back with us when the time is right, don't worry about that, Holly." he said with confidence as he slowly opened his eyes, before continuing with what he had been saying. "But as I was saying... Those tools are: the Sacred Holy Water, a liquid so sacred and powerful that it can increase the power of a good-hearted person that drinks it. It can also clean the demonic influence from a soul. The Senzu Beans, the magical seeds capable of healing any woulds and feeding a person for a hundred days." he said, pausing to point his thumb at himself. "Which I was responsible for growing and harvesting, as the Tower Keeper." he added. "And the greatest of them all, the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. A place where a person can train for one entire year in one day!" he explained, leaving her some time to take in all that information.
