<Seriously, how do Namekians live here without dying of boredom? They live in small villages, reproduce asexually, and it's always day here. Almost everything looks the same.>
Tomina had made it Namek after the tournament of power. It had been by far the toughest ordeal that she ever had to endure. She had to fight against beings with strange abilities which cultivated in fighting the toughest bastard she ever encountered in her. And considering that she had fought Nasu in his most powerful form in the time chamber, that was saying a lot.
Tomina still couldn’t believe that she had been the one to make the wish. It was a dream come true. She had Karen back, among other things. She had also met up with Hasenya again. Everything had turned out impossibly good for the hybrid.
Yet there some things she still wished to discuss with her mate. After reuniting with her cousin and explaining things to both her and Karen, Tomina had informed them there was something she needed to take care of. Tomina had picked out a rather secluded spot. She was close to a cliff face where a small pool of water nearby. She had picked out this arena on purpose. There was someone that she wanted to be alone with. Tomina closed her eyes, searching out a very familiar ki signature and contacted the person telepathically.
<Tarro… it’s me, I’m back. Follow my ki signature and come and find me. Don't keep your girl waiting.>
Tomina looked up watched the skys, waiting for Tarro to show up. She was aware that it was probably a little suspicious that she wanted to meet up with him in the middle of nowhere. Although she could easily prove that it was her if her appearance and her tattered clothing wasn’t enough for him. She wanted to be alone with her man right now though: there were things she could only do with Tarro that needed to be taken care of.
Tarro was training in his spaceship on Namek, shirtless and intensively testing out his Wolf Fang Fist on holographic images. It didn’t do much, but provided a nice style of image training for the young Super Saiyan in his training. The real Carva, Jarvis, and Nakiya all moved quite a bit faster than the holographic versions of themselves, but it made him feel a little better about himself. “NEO WOLF FANG FIST!” he cried as he launched himself as Nakiya and unleashed a vicious, overwhelming barrage of claw attacks at the mirage. His hands glowed with energy as he unleashed the final blow with maximum force! The simulation ended, and Tarro could feel a hot sensation in his head as someone reached out to him telepathically. He grunted in annoyance, not liking being called. Suddenly however he heard a familiar voice. One he hadn’t heard in months now.
Tomina. She had finally contacted him after all this time. At least he thought it was Tomina. Truthfully he wasn’t entirely sure.
She had missed a lot. His training with Karota, his mastering of the Wolf School. His ascension to Super Saiyan Two. In all that time he wondered if she had been killed, and if their erasure was imminent. But more than that he thought about Nakiya or Jarvis trying to deceive him by transforming into Tomina to deceive him. Rumors had circulated that she was capable of impersonating anyone. So he had prepared himself for deceit. {“How do I know it’s you, Captain?”} he said telepathically with a suspicious tone.
He wondered if she’d be able to prove her identity.

So he was suspicious of her. Good. She was glad he was showing this much caution. Still, she really wanted to see him alone. And if that took further convincing, then so be it.
<If I was an agent of Nakiya or Caesar, then why would I be trying to fool you of all people? I'd much rather lure Nasu into a trap, since there's no way that Nakiya could beat him in a fair fight. Not to mention that you made some oaths to me and gave up ever having a tail that night on the ship. There's no way they would be able to find that out, and it's not like I'd ever tell them about when we both stopped dancing around things like pussies and drank and got intimate. Now get your ass down here.>
Only the real Tomina would know about the circumstances behind that night. It wasn't like she went bragging about the specifics to everyone after the fact. She didn't plan on hiding her relationship with Tarro, but she wasn't going to sprout out their most intimate moments either. Well, in regards to emotional intimacy anyway. She didn't care if people knew what they did physically as much.
Tarro and her had discussed a lot about the tricks and deceit of their enemies, and that they needed to be smart with each other whenever they separated. Tarro was just holding onto that. He had made his mind harder to infiltrate thanks to severe training, and this Tomina (if she was fake) wouldn’t find it easy to manipulate him. He listened to her as she condescended him and asked if she was Nakiya or Caesar, why wouldn’t she lure Nasu into a trap. {“Pft. Don’t give me that. If you were Nakiya or Caesar, you’d know better than to try and penetrate Nasu’s mind. But his underlings are more vulnerable, at least those who haven’t trained in the art of resisting this type of thing,”} he said with a ‘hmph’ in the end of his telepathic transmission.
However the next part caught his attention. Details about their romantic night together, the very first night they got together. Someone could have likely guessed the tail thing, and also plenty about their physical lifestyle (after all they weren’t exactly quiet). But the oath… that was something private. Only he and Tomina would know about that. {“So either you are the real Tomina… or you’re a bloody imposter whose stolen her memories. I’m coming. If it’s the latter, I’d suggest you prepare yourself!”} he said intensively as he transformed into his Super Saiyan form and flew right out of his ship toward the power. If it was some scumbug like Jarvis who stole her memories and tried to mess with him, he swore he’d make them bloody!
A golden pillar of light sprung out of the sky with incredible force as Tarro moved insanely quick across the Planet Namek. Within a minute tops he arrived at the location. The golden-haired Saiyan staring in disbelief as he for sure saw his mate. Upon closer inspection her energy also seemed incredibly familiar. It… It had to be her. He was sure of it.
“To-Tomina…” he said almost surprised.. His breath was taken away.

<Hah! That's true. But there are plenty of people both higher up and closer to Nasu that fit that criteria too. Heh, you're certainly ready for a fight. But I went through a considerable amount of training to prevent people from entering my mind. If someone was able to force their way past it, then you're getting in over your head Tarro.>
Of course she knew that it wouldn't stop him from coming. He would try and wrangle an impostor of her no matter how strong they were. He was her mate after all. He wasn't going to stand for that kind of insult. He'd try to beat them up regardless.
Tomina watched as her mate landed a few feet away from her. Honestly it was strange seeing him again. It wasn't too long for him, but she had been separated from him for over a year due to the special training she had went through. She smiled weakly at him.
"You're a sight for sore eyes, Tarro. I wish I could be the same to you. I got really fucked up in that fight though. Nasu noticed it despite how well I hid it, but I just had to remain cool for everyone else. But man... those bastards were tough. I thought I wasn't going to make it out at a couple of points. Especially after I had to fight a guy who took out Kamatsu and Nasu."
Tomina took a step forward, her tattered clothing rustling with the motion. She managed to take one more step before kneeling down on the ground. The double attack she had taken in the first round, pushing herself with the Kaioken x20, Tomina had been through hell and back to make it through. Unlike Nasu and Carva, she didn't get restored to her peak condition. So she was still very much feeling the results of the fight she had been through.
{“Tch. Yeah and those closest to him are much more resistant than me, as annoying as it is to admit it. Master Karota, even that idiot Miso… Both of them are better trained and more experienced than me, as well as stronger to boot. They’d have less of a chance with them as well. And I’m always ready for a fight, my mate would know that!
Even if I’m in over my head…,”} he said as he flew in his golden light as it flashed across the green skies of Namek. He was boiling for a good fight right about now, so if it was a fake Tomina well then they’d get their jaw clocked off. The Super Saiyan had come fair in his training, working so hard to master the Super Saiyan Two transformation. He had come up short, but he could feel himself getting closer by the day. To be able to tap into that power at will was going to be necessary if he wanted to accomplish his goal of surpassing Karota, and then Miso.
When he arrived, he had been expecting a grand return. The two of them in their peak health smiling and shagging right on the Namekian soil. But Tomina was damaged, more so than he think he had seen from her since her fight with Flare. She had really pushed herself hard. He was stunned, allowing her the chance to speak uninterrupted. She explained her predicament and her injuries, perhaps feeling a bit self-conscious about it. He smiled softly, his eyes narrowing and sparkling with a little bit of pride for his mate. He walked toward her, his jumpsuit rustling slightly with the wind as they began closing the fair distance between them.
His smile faded however as she stumbled onto the ground. Tarro quickly rushed over and crouched down to her level. “Tomina!?” he cried out with worry in his voice, inspecting her to see if she was okay. Once she explained the situation to him, he softened a bit again. He understood. He said nothing and his face was serious for a moment. Without a word, he picked her up gently, as she wasn’t exactly in the state to move and resist him: carrying her legs and her back in his arms. He stood tall with her. And with a soft smile on his face. “You’re an idiot, love. It doesn’t matter how bloody and messed up you come back. You’ll always be a pleasant sight for these eyes.
Actually… it’s kinda hot that you’re all banged up. Shows you were doing some intense fighting. Makes me kind of jealous.” he said.
He looked over to the pool of water nearby, and chuckled. “If you have the energy for it, heat up the little pool over there. We’ll give you a nice hot bath and all cleaned up…,” he said with a grin. This would hopefully be good for her.

<Heh, seeing you call Miso an idiot to his face would be funny as hell. Of course you're ready for a fight: I wouldn't have picked a coward to be my mate.>
His suspicions were quelled rather quickly after he saw her. Cause he immediately came over to her the moment she knelt down. Tomina looked surprised as Tarro decided to pick her up bridal style. No one had ever done that before. That didn't stop her from thrusting her hand up and stopping her palm inches from Tarro’s face.
“You’re the idiot, darling. You accepted that it was me too quickly. If I was an enemy, you would have taken a serious blow just now. Good thing I’m the real deal, eh?”
Tomina smiled, poking his forehead with her finger before lowering her hand. That smile stretched when Tarro brought up the bath. She was going to have so much fun with this.
“You sly dog. You compliment my disheveled appearance and than ask me to prepare a bath. I was wrong about the tournament being my hardest battle: at this rate it's going to be trying to keep up with a wolf in heat.”
Tomina couldn’t help but throw out some banter to him. She reached out with one hand, a stream of fire blazing towards the pool. In no time at all, steam was rising from it. The fire faded, and Tomina lowered her arm, giving her mate a smirk.
If he wanted to just give her a bath then that was more than alright with her. It meant spending more time with her mate. If he intended to do other things with her… well, even with her body like this she wouldn't deny him. Cause she had been parted from him for a long time, and wanted to be as close as possible to him.
Tarro had said nothing to the final transmission about Miso, not really giving a shit about his words. If it weren’t for rank, Tarro would call him so to his face. It was his brilliant strategy that led to the Demons destroying Saiya and Natto. And she was right, imposter or not, she knew Tarro wasn’t a coward. When the Saiyan and the Saiyaness were finally reunited after all this time, Tarro could instinctively feel that it was her. There was just something about being in close proximity that made it so much easier to trust her. Or maybe this person was just that convincing. Either way he wasn’t going to take the chance that it wasn’t her and risk damaging her.
This was the first time Tarro had ever picked her up like this. Usually she was the one taking charge, but with her supposed injuries that didn’t seem like something that was on the table for her at the moment. He smiled, not even flinching at the thrust heading for his face. “I’ll settle for we’re both idiots, then. Call it instinct, or lover’s intuition, but I could tell it was you once I saw you. I don’t think there’s a magic strong enough to trick me this well. Besides. You hardly look like you’re in any shape to fight right now,” he said cheekily before getting poked. It was an odd thing she liked doing, poking him like that. But he’d just learned to roll with it.
His smile widened with hers. It was quite infectious- her smile. He missed her banter. “Hmph. I don’t know… you sure you don’t want that Beat kid for that instead? You did apparently make him a promise that he could fuck you if he got strong enough…,” he brought up with a serious look on his face.
Part of him was joking, but admittedly part of him was still a bit upset about that revelation. Especially since now the kid was starting to show a faster growth rate than he. Tarro carried her over to the bath, carefully removing her ragged clothing before letting her in. He kinda felt like having a bath too. After she was all settled in he joined in, both of their bodies covered by both the steam and the fairly leveled water. This wasn’t a bad choice for meeting actually.
And it’d be fun for later. But for now he just wanted to talk and catch up. He had missed a lot. More than he even knew.

Tomina chuckled when she saw that Tarro hadn’t even flinched. It was almost as though he knew it was coming. It wouldn't surprise her if that was the case: they were on the same wavelength the vast majority of the time.
“The injuries could have been an illusion. But if you can't trust your instincts, than what's the point of trusting anything else? "
Her grin faded a bit when he brought up Beat. She looked at her mate incredulously. She honestly thought she would never hear from the kid again, despite what she did to get him stronger. She bounced back quickly though, giving her mate a slight smirk.
“Preferring a kid over you? I would have to be out of your mind. It was a sucker bet: I was kinda hoping you would meet up with him one day and beat the shit out of Beat. Then we would have a good laugh over it. After all, you are my mate. You aren’t going to lose to some kid. Even when he gets old enough he’d probably just plow into his mate without all the nuance you have.”
Tomina was glad that Tarro had entered her life. No one even came close to how amazing he was. She let him take her clothes off, letting out a sigh as she entered the water. The steam rising up didn't obstruct her view of Tarro, who had slid in next to her.
“So much has changed Tarro. I don't even know where to begin. I still can't believe that this one tournament gave me closure on everything. There's still so much to do, but I’ve settled almost everything that happened in the past. Mmmmmmm, this feels so gooooood.”
Tomina practically moaned, extending one arm and draping it over Tarro’s shoulder. In one fluid motion she slid over so that her warm skin was pressing against Tarro’s, the water sloshing around her with the displacement. Tomina wanted to talk over important things in here. But she did want to build up to something she had been looking forward to for a long time.
Tomina moved her leg under the water and wrapped it loosely around one of Tarro’s legs. Tomina looked over at her mate, a slight smile on her lips. Her body had taken a beating, sure. But she was willing to push her body to her limit if it involved Tarro.
She wanted to build up to that moment though. With everyone else she had just gotten dirty with in a flash by using only the essential flirtation. With Tarro though, she wanted to make him feel good before they even got to the good stuff. Plus, she liked these calm moments just as much, and sometimes more than the most intense aspects of their relationship.
“Indeed. If a Demon or whatever was capable of convincing even my instincts that it was you, then there was no stopping it anyways…,” he responded to her words, explaining how he dropped his guard without concern. Perhaps he was a sentimental fool, or maybe he was just more attuned and had an innate sense of his mate. It was hard to say.
Tarro sighed at her reaction to him bringing up the kid Beat. So she really had said something to that effect to the kid. She would be able to tell from his expression that he wasn’t amused. “I did beat him, but not by much. He’s inexperienced, but very strong. You chose the wrong kid to make that kind of bet with. He reminds me of Carva, if that brute actually used his brain sometimes. He’s already one of Komatsu’s best soldiers.
Regardless I don’t like the idea that our vows only go so far as how strong I get….,” he said honestly. Sure she was kidding with the kid, but was he disposable? Was she going to make more of these supposed bets with other fights, until she found one she liked and discarded the Saiyan warrior? “I trained so hard while you were gone. I became a Super Saiyan Two, almost as strong as you were on Earth when you fought your cousin. I mastered Nasu and Karota’s Spirit Ball.
And even with all that I’m nowhere near where I want to be. You, Carva, and Jarvis are all getting stronger much quicker than I can keep up with… For god’s sake the cap between us nearly doubled I believe since you left… What the hell happened in this tournament to make you so strong?” he said while looking away, his fist tightening. He was really angry about this. “So if the sum of my worth is my power level- you might as well go to Carva, or pick someone else as your mate,” he said while looking back directly at her. He was happy to have her back, but this was a serious problem that he had right now. He was getting as strong as he could, but if their relationship was built only on his strength then it might as well end now. He wasn’t going to progress as fast as she liked, if this freaking kid could overpower him.
The two got into the water, and Tarro took care of his mate. But he wasn’t in the mood for any of her shenanigans. They needed to hash this out. This was their first fight as lovers, and they needed this to be done with.

“Heh, true nuff. If a demon could fool you that easily than you would certainly be caught off guard.”
Tomina’s eyes widened as Tarro brought up how he trouble with Beat. A Saiyan who wasn’t even a teenager yet. Not only that, but he was singing his praises as one of Komatsu’s best soldiers.
“You’ve gotta be shitting me. He’s one of Komatsu’s best soldiers? I could have beaten him with a finger poke in my base form when I first met him. And he was able to give you trouble? How the hell did he get that strong?”
Tomina put a hand under her chin. Beat getting that strong in a short period like that shouldn't have been possible. There was only one explanation that made sense to her.
“The only way a Saiyan his age can get so much power in such a small time frame is if at least one of the parents who sired him was extremely powerful. It's part of why Komatsu and Nasu are so fucking strong: their parents were two of the strongest Saiyans who ever lived.”
Tomina listened to Tarro as he spilled his guts out about his feels and some events that have happened. She didn’t look away from him as he talked. She looked like he had just slapped her in the face. She realized how much she hurt him, but now she was wounded as well.
She didn’t respond at first. It wasn’t under after they got into the pool and he started washing her did she speak. She lowered her hands to her lap, her head hanging low
“Caesar was second strongest fighter in our team. It's unfair for you to compare yourself to someone who had a God form. Well, Caesar is gone forever, so that doesn't matter anyway. More importantly… Tarro, do you think that I would actually keep my end if I made that bet? That I would consider it more important to the vows we made, the blood you spilled, and the tail you sacrificed? Do you think I that I care that much about your power that I would forsake the vows we fucking made right before you gave me the best night of my whole fucking life?”
Tomina spoke lowly and softly. But it was akin to that of a fuse just waiting to go off. Her voice also sounded like it was about to crack. She clenched her fists, her body tense even as Tarro washed her. The warm water was doing nothing to soothe her now. She was too agitated to even answer Tarro's inquiry on her power increase. How could he even think that she would leave him if he was weaker?
Tarro could see the surprise on her face as she mentioned how strong Beat was. Yes it had surprised him too. The first time he met the kid he wasn’t anything special. But he quickly rose to power once his Legendary Potential was unlocked. The goddamn genetics of Carva and the rest of his mutated Berserker class Saiayn could all go to hell. It was unfair. “He possesses the same transformations as Athren and Carva.. But he doesn’t seem to share any actual lineage with them strangely enough. It’s possible a strand of Saiyan genetics exists that produces more crazy but also more powerful Saiyans. Much like how Komatsu possesses a mutation in his genetics that allows him to reach his “Super Saiyan Four”.
Regardless it’s some special bullshit and it’s hard to fight the raw power of those Saiyans. Their growth potential is hard to keep up with… They don’t just get stronger with every fight like normal Saiyans, they always get stronger AS they fight…” he said with a grunt. “Since that fight apparently he got mixed up with Negi, and nearly beat him. Now I don’t even know if I can best him…,” the Saiyan said rather downtrodden. It wasn’t exactly comforting that a child could possibly have surpassed him. It was hard enough slowing his weakness regarding the other Saiyans. What was he lacking that the others had? “As I said - I had way more experience than he did. I don’t think he’s even finished training in a martial art style yet. But in pure power he hit almost as hard as me, and that was in our Super Saiyan forms. If we went all out with our respective powers, he might have been able to overpower me. The Spirit Ball is my only ace that might give me an advantage against him…,” he explained.
The Spirit Ball was a tricky ability and hard to counter. Perfect against Berserker Saiyans who couldn’t think straight. But the downside to that was in a one on one fight… he likely left himself open trying to use it. He needed much more if he ever hoped to be able to defeat Carva in a battle, and Beat by extension.
The conversation about her deal with Beat however was not a pleasant one, and he had been expecting that. The two stared at each other, both of them hurt. He continued washing her, taking care of her battered body despite his grievances. “But it’s not just Jarvis, you’re not listening! It’s you, It’s Carva! All of you are making these large leaps in power and I’m left picking up the crumbs as scraps!” he yelled, his body transforming from the rage and showcased his new transformation head on.
His hair spiked in a way that she wouldn’t have seen from him before. Lightning danced around his form. He had no intention of hurting her or getting violent. But his emotions were overloaded right now. “Feel this pitiful power level! Tell me the truth, I don’t even compare to the weakest of fighters that fought in your Tournament of Power!” he continued on, tears falling down the sides of his face as the heightened power brought with it explosive results.
“I don’t know Tomina, and that’s what pisses me off! I slapped him when he first told me, because I said there was no way that filth would come from your mouth, and that I wouldn’t let him question my mate’s honor! But then here you are confirming that you actually told him that? Why would you say that?
What the hell am I supposed to think here, Tomina?”
Base [x+1/x+0], Enrage [x2], Mastered Power [x5], Super Elemi [x13], Attuned Super Elemi [x20], Unleashed Super Elemi [x32/x24], Mastered Super Elemi [x35], True Elemental [x45], False God [x56/x55] True God [x60]
Tarro had a fairly plausible theory going. Of course, that's all it was without any definite proof. She frowned when her half brothers name was brought up. It was strange how the modern world had changed though.
“Athren is the only one who has Royal lineage though. As far as I know, both Beat and Carva come from humble roots. Even if they weren't royalty the most notable Saiyans are typically descended from someone powerful. This age has seen the birth of whole new Saiyan lines though. Tch, the established rules I know keep getting broken.”
That wasn’t the only thing that was broken apparently. Beat had also displayed some incredible feats of his own. She blinked, looking over and raising an eyebrow at her mate.
“So Negi ended up here then. What the hell possessed Beat to fight Negi of all people? That isn’t a battle that he can win if Negi decided to go serious on him. Negi must have been half asleep if he almost let his ass get handed to him by Beat.”
There was no way that he could be that strong, right? But the look on Tarro’s face convinced her that the kid had really become that strong. She squeezed Tarro’s shoulder affectionately, but that came a bit late unfortunately. Tomina frowned at her mate as his voice rose in volume.
“Tarro… is it the fact that people keep on leaping so far ahead of you itself that bothers you the most, or your current level? Either way, stop being stupid.”
Tomina stared at her mate, his transformations in both his physical form and his demeanor over the course of her interaction stunning her. Much like everything lately, this stirred seemingly every emotion in the cosmos around inside of her. She took a deep breath to calm her nerves. She didn’t want to make things worse.
“Well yeah, you would have been the weakest on our team in terms of pure power. If you had fought in the tournament in this form, you would have been stronger then the weakest fighter on the other team. You could have held your own Tarro.”
Tomina figured that this would help get things back on track. She didn’t sugarcoat things, but she also encouraged her mate. That would hopefully help calm the situation. Then she saw the tears rolling from his eyes. Oh God, he was actually crying?
The guilt pressed down on her like a giant humongaloid landing on her. She had hurt Tarro far more then she thought she had, and she felt awful for it. To make things worse, she was now hurting too. Tarro doubting her like this was like a punch to the stomach. She looked down, speaking as lowly as her head was.
“It was all tactics to bring him into our corner. I expected him to take a few years to get much stronger. Nasu's weakest soldiers would have been able to mop the floor with him. That was my line of thought. I used tactics l learned in the Empire, tactics the Queen was good at. I guess I’m nothing like her, since all my attempts at recruiting or training others blew up in my face. Lies and manipulation tactics just isn't me. You have every right to be angry at me to resorting to such methods, and that it took me so long to realize how useless they were. It's something that I’ll never do again. but…”
The hand holding Tarro’s shoulder squeezed down, her fingertips almost pressing hard enough to dig into his skin. This was so painful to the hybrid. She would rather had taken a bunch of attacks from the nastiest fighters in the tournament while the Kaioken consumed her body. That’s how much it hurt her now, and Tarro probably felt the same way.
“The Earthlings have a dimension which they call a time chamber. Time flows differently there, so you can get a years worth of training in there with only a day passing on the outside. That’s why those defenders were so strong when we invaded Earth. In their desperation to make us stronger the Gods allowed all of the contestants access to the room to prepare for the tournament. Only two people can enter at a time though, so I went in with Nasu.”
The hybrid clenched her fist, her anger starting to mix with her sorrow. Like the water she was sitting in, it was bubbling up and filling her. It hurt to see her mate like this, but she also felt anger. Anger directed towards all the circumstances that led to this moment.
“There were a bunch of times Nasu would walk around naked after taking a shower. We Saiyans aren’t all that subconcious. Hell, Miso immediately greeted Toru when he arrived without bothering to put on clothes, and neither me or Toru gave a shit. But I was mated to you now. It felt wrong to show myself to someone else who wasn’t you or a family member. So I always kept myself covered. He thought I was crazy for being that modest. But you are my mate. You’re the only one who can gaze at my body as much as you like, and yet…”
Tomina looked up, tears trailing down her cheeks. It was so pronounced that it resembled tribal war paint. Now both of them were hurting, and neither one was hiding how they felt from the other. There was no place for emotion masking pride here.
“How I acted around Beat was horrible. I'm with you, so acting like I would toss you aside if he defeated you was fucking horrible. But I would never do that to you! I worked together with a team that I almost entirely despised in that tournament! Even when one of them tried to create a distraction by saying something in an attempt to make them aim at me, I didn't blow his ass up! I swallowed my pride and made a deal with an opponent who was fucking human, promising to protect the Earth in exchange for him working with us and not defeating my teammates. Including the guy who decided to antagonize me the entire fucking time! I could have wished for ultimate power or literally anything else when I won the tournament! I could have become strong enough to defeat Nasu using Komatsu as a bludgeoning weapon if I had wanted to!”
The water around Tomina began to bubble, heat radiating from the Elemi hybrid. Yes, she could have literally wished for anything. She bet there were a bunch of people who thought she would go for something nefarious. She was the daughter of one of the most ruthless tyrants in history, so she must have been bad too!
“Instead restored all the good souls and brought more into our universe to raise the mortal level, and for the sake of the few people I still give a shit about! Everyone you lost is back now! You, Karen, and Hasenya were the only things on my mind when our existence was on the line! That's why I was willing to work together with people who I hated, even if some of them wronged me in some way! That’s why I agreed to protect a planet that caused me and my family so much misery! Fulfiling the oath I made played a part in that, but you three matter the most to me! How could you even think that I would just toss you aside for power? My family constantly did that and look where that led! How could you fucking doubt me when I love you so fucking much?!”
Tomina abruptly stood up, water splashing everywhere as her energy erupted. She had entered what she called her Super Saiyan Crimson form. Her blood red her swayed in the gust of hot wind that had burst forth, her blazing, tear stained golden eyes glaring down at him. She stood there in her full glory for him to look at. She loved it when Tarro saw her likenthis, but that was the furthest thing from her mind right now. She had hurt Tarro badly and shaken his faith in her. As mad as she was, she was also scared about where this could lead. She didn’t know how to fix things, and that frustrated her to no end.

Tarro simply raised his shoulders in a shrug, not bothering to respond at first to the discussion about Athren. He didn’t know a lot about him, only what others (including Tomina) had told him. “Is it possible they could be distantly related? Saiyans are known to fool around.. It’s plausible they share a common ancestor…,” he said with a shrug. “These things are hard for people like us to determine. On the battlefield you and I are pretty smart, but as far as the science of these things… our guess is as good as any’s,” he admitted, looking down while clenching his fists. He wish he had an answer. It was deeply angering him. Another Saiyan to be looked down by. Tarro could hardly believe that the brat actually managed to put up a decent fight against Negi. The man was a legend in their ranks, one of Nasu’s best soldiers. And Tarro still couldn’t compare to Karota. Even in Super Saiyan Two he was fighting an uphill battle, albeit a less narrow one. “According to the reports.. Nakiya took control of him after the battle of Saiya. The bitch couldn’t even let him have an honorable death. She corrupted him and forced him to do her bidding. In the end however he managed to get loose at least. He took off. Speaking of.. Nakiya made some kind of wish with the Dragon Balls while you were gone. You should watch out. It’s possible her powers are beyond even yours still.
She’s a coward who will do anything to get stronger. Anyone who has to rely on those orbs to get stronger is pathetic. Even I wouldn’t go that far to get stronger, despite how much I might need the advantage…,” he scoffed, looking up at the sky with a furrowed brow as his body trembled. His nails dug into his skin, drawing a slight trickle of blood. Tomina gave him a warm touch on the shoulder, and though he appreciated it.. He wasn’t as receptive to it as he should have been given the circumstances. His eyes looked at Tomina as she asked her questions, trying to find the root to his problems. He didn’t know what to say at first, his voice forming no words but trying to find them. He let out an audible “tch” sound before looking away. “Probably a bit of both… I’m nowhere near where I should be… That’s for damn sure…,” he said, sighing quite audibly as his body was tense. Electricity continued to dance across his form, yet did nothing to liven up the water. Normally shocks would zap them both and leave a rather unpleasant surge through their bodies. But ki was a bit different. “The rush of power this transformation gives is fantastic. I feel unstoppable, and yet at the same time I’m just as powerless as I was before I learned how to transform into an ordinary Super Saiyan. I’m just as weak now as I was when everyone I loved died on Saiya, and I’m just as pathetic as I was when we first met. The only difference now is I don’t have the alcohol to blame for it.
Just my own weakness.. No matter how hard I try to close the barriers of power..,”
And that was his truth.
Tomina had tried to be honest but kind, and encourage him. But he shook his head as a response, rejecting it in its entirety. “If I fought in that tournament, I wouldn’t have come back alive… I know that, and deep down you know that,” he said while staring out into the distance. He thought about one of their claws getting and ripping through his armor. He thought about what death might feel like. He could feel it in his bones. He wouldn’t have survived. And that fact annoyed him. He was angry, he was upset, he was betrayed. All of these emotions swirled in him as his tears freely flowed down his face.
It was a common mistake people made, a common assumption that they had been led to believe. The Saiyans were a warrior race, they were badass warriors. So the assumption was that they didn’t have strong emotions. They were good at closing themselves off, and in part this was true. But truthfully deep down their emotions were possibly stronger than any race. When they felt rage it was an uncontrollable wrath, when they felt sadness it was complete despair, and when they felt worthless… the whole world just seemed to spin around while they simply stood still. It was from these emotions that they drew their strength, that they’d come to soar.
And yet Tarro still was so far behind. Even by learning how to tap into these emotions fully for Super Saiyan Two, he still found himself short. He still wasn’t where he was supposed to be. He was supposed to be making progress. Instead he was still just as far behind the others as the day he first joined. Instead his place had stayed the same. They had yet to reach their peaks, and he felt he was starting to reach his. And that terrified him. The whole point of training with Nasu’s faction, everything he had done since Natto had been to become strong enough to never know that hopelessness again. Every drop of sweat, every ounce of blood, every sore muscle, every rough battle. It was all for the purposes of getting strong enough to make a difference.
But so far the barrier was just as far away as it was in the beginning. Maybe even wider since Nakiya had made her wish. “The bastard Jarvis was so cowardly he sabotaged himself and erased himself! He ran away! Now I’ll never get to punch him in the face for everything he did, not that I ever could matter in a fight against him! Nakiya used the goddamn Dragon Balls to become even harder to reach than ever, because she’s a sniveling coward and the rest of us were so incompetent we let her!
So yes I’m angry! I’m frustrated! Because no matter what I put myself through I’m useless in the end!” he said, ceasing to wash her any further. At this point he just turned away. He couldn’t even face her. He was ashamed.
His ears perked as she spoke softly, trying to explain what Beat told him. For once he didn’t interrupt her, just listening in keenly as she explained her whole story to him. He recalled the times that she talked about Rensu and how she was going to manipulate him into a more capable soldier, one befitting the Kingdom. Even back then Rensu showed signs of naivety and messed up priorities. He thought about their relationship, and everything they had promised to each other on that fateful night on the Kingdom’s assault ship. He thought about every mile of skin, every inch of her he had come to know intimately over the brief start of their relationship. He thought about every deep conversation and how much of their souls they had shared with one another. He thought about how much he loved her, and kept on listening.
Though she could not see it, his eyes tensed a little as her fingernails dug into his shoulder. He said nothing however, working through the pain. He continued to listen as she spoke about the time while she was gone. He followed with interest as she mentioned a dimension she had traveled to before the tournament, which allowed her to train for a year in a day. What had been months for him, had been over a year for her. Eyes widened at the revelation, as so many things came into place. The attack on Earth, how she came back so strong (even for her). He looked down, his face forming a frown as he absorbed this information. “And I assume Carva went in too… fuck… when will that ass stop getting special treatment! First the Tree of Might, now this!? Fuck!” the Saiyan before putting his hand up to his forehead, his fingers ruffling through his hair. It was so unfair. Why was he always the odd man out? But he said nothing beyond that, continuing to let her speak.
She talked about how Nasu strutted around naked in the time chamber, something that didn’t really faze him. He was used to the Saiyan culture surrounding their bodies and the lack of shaming that some races had (especially the Earthlings). He didn’t give a shit about that. But what really struck out to his ears.. The sound of her crying, the way her body tensed up as tears flowed gently down her face. Tarro didn’t think he’d ever even seen her cry in all the time they’d known each other. His face softened, and his arm lowered itself to his side. She admitted fault about what she had done, apologized for making him feel the way she did. She reassured him that she would never do that to him, and the way that she said it was enough to make him believe her. The passion, the emotion, the aggressiveness of her words mixed with her crying all softened the cracks in the foundation, breaking it down and allowing it to open up. The surge of his overwhelming emotions dying down as he let in everything she said. A strange calm washed over him, and his body stopped tensing up, his body fading back into the normal Super Saiyan form. In all of his glory he turned around suddenly, and curled his arms around her waist, forehead firmly pressing against hers and pulling her close even in her Super Saiyan Crimson form.
All of the events of the tournament, all of her emotions - they all reached him. “Shut up… Just… Shut up…,” he whispered to her, his rough words harsh but also with an soft, subtle undertone of tenderness. The distance between them was so minimal she would literally be able to feel his breath. “I understand… Just… say the vow you made that night…. Repeat it for me…. Do that for me… That’s all I ask…,” he said softly, his whispers like soft kisses.
“Assure me one last time that you love me…. That you are mine… Just as I am yours…,”

Tomina had the same response that Tarro did. She nonchalantly shrugged her shoulders when her mate gave her his theory. Ultimately this didn't matter in the grand scheme of things.
“Who knows? We aren't exactly the best record keepers. Even if we were diligent about that, they all would have been lost when Vegeta was destroyed. I do know that my bloodline goes back a long way though. There were always powerful Saiyans within it.”
Granted there was only so much she knew about her bloodline. All she did know that they were the royal family of a long line of Saiyan rulers. Although her mother had been the first Saiyan in centuries to achieve the Super Saiyan transformation. The line went back so far that no one had known if anyone in the royal line prior to then could use that transformation.
So, Nakiya had used the dragonballs while they were all distracted. Tomina honestly wasn’t that surprised by it. Honestly it was a move that she wish the Saiyans had thought of. Although it probably wouldn't have made much of a difference.
“That clever bitch took advantage of most of the strong fighters being and used the time to get more powerful. Not only that, but one of her stronger demons and Caesar were put in, tipping the scales in our favor. She's a crafty demon for sure.”
Tomina grit her teeth, stiffening when she thought about the experiments Nakiya performed. She has seen for herself how monstrous she was. Killing was one thing. Deforming them in lab experiments was completely abhorrent.
“So that's what befell Negi in the end. That foul woman… she's completely mocked and twisted our race. Creating clones and trying to make “improvements”. When I fought Hakobe, he boasted how he didn't have the weakness of Saiyan Pride. She doesn't understand it at. She turned prisoners into foul creatures, stripping them of who they are. That is the most wretched and cruel thing you can do: strip someone of all their pride and freedom. And she's done it time and time again.”
A few sparks flew from Tomina’s hair, falling into the pool of water. They was a soft hiss as they were put out immediately. The hybrid looked over at her mate. It was clear that she was not relaxed in the slightest.
“Are you saying that my mother was a coward then? The whole reason she invaded Earth originally was to use the dragonballs to ensure her supremacy. She was a piece of work, but she was still my mother. And I am proud to be related to one of the most accomplished Saiyans alive. Even if those accomplishments weren't exactly good for universal stability.”
Tomina looked away again when he elaborated on his resentment. It wasn’t as if she didn't understand him. No matter how hard she tried, Natto’s children always bested her. She was miles behind Nasu and every time she got close to Komatsu he acquired a new form or power and slipped away. Tarro was going through that only worse.
“Some have to work harder than others. Some Saiyans can’t even transform into Super Saiyans. Don't sell yourself short Tarro. You might have come out of it alive. Nasu actually died again and had to be resurrected. And I had several brushes with death out there. And even with all his training in the time chamber Carva also died. In the first round they separated the fighters into three different areas. Carva was the strongest in terms of pure PL in his. Yet he died and the others made it to the next round.”
Bring the strongest in the universe didn't mean that you would live through a particular fight and only the weak would die. Tomina knew that from experience.
“All the fighters capable of defeating Nakiya went to the tournament. She had her own army and Caesar’s at her disposal. No one could have stood against her. She pulled a fast one on us, just like she did when we left Saiya vulnerable. Still… Nakiya may not be as all powerful now as you think she is.”
Tomina gave Tarro a slight smile. She seemed to know something that Tarro and Nakiya didn't. The fact that Nakiya wished to become more powerful didn't seem to phase her. Tomina shook her head when he talked about Jarvis, letting out a sigh as she looked out towards the distance.
“Caesar wasn’t a coward. That would require him being a person to begin with. He didn't care about anything anymore. The Gods had to force him to fight, and he said himself that he thought that he would be fine if everything came to an end if it weren't for the fact that there were a few people he seemed to care about in some way. I was furious that he got himself fucking erased at firstm But after thinking about the things he said and did, it would have been pointless getting vengeance on whatever he was.”
Tomina looked up into the green sky above them. She watched the clouds roll by, forming and shaped by the wind. Clouds were given form by other forces, and had no say in what shape they turned into or how fast they moved.
“Caesar was nothing but a raw mass of power and emotion. Aside from those souls he cared about, his only identify to him was that of a God and the powers he had. Caesar had nothing else to hold onto. The things he said only could have been said by someone who had no hope left. One who held nothing but contempt for living beings, even his own.”
Tomina wondered if she didn't have others, would she have turned out like that? Although even her mother knew what she was and gave a shit about existing. She had no idea what made Caesar view things the way he did. It was such an alien way of thinking to the hybrid.
“Once people appeared who could challenge his power, it stripped him of his identity. I think he hated the fact that there beings could challenge him, and tried to kill the person who wounded him badly. In the end he was no different then an energy beam being fired. My Super Galick Gun doesn't give a shit about its existence, and it ruins the lives of everyone and everything it comes into contact with. What's the point in getting vengeance on something like that?”
She utterly loathed that being still even now. She couldn’t muster pity for the being that caused her and so many others misery. But at least she understood Caesar’s mentality, at least near the end. Maybe He originally made his wish with some specific purpose in mind. But eventually there was nothing left of whoever he once was. It was consumed completely by th divine powers he wasn't meant to have.
Tomina nearly lost her breath when Tarro pulled her against him. She could feel his forehead against hers, and his heart beating against his chest. His words seemed to carrss her, gently brush her all over. A slight smile graced her tear stained face.
“How am I supposed to say the vows if you want me to shut up? It’s a good thing I outrank you: I don't have to listen to that dumb order. I swear on my blood and family's honor that I will be loyal to you in every sense. I will not sleep with anyone else for as long as we live. I will stick by you and fight on your side, even if it puts us against someone stronger than either of us, or against other overwhelming odds. I have even give up my personal quest for vengeance against Earth and the Saiyan Alliance for you. I offer you everything I have. My body, my soul, they are yours and yours alone. As you belong to me.If you fall into hell then I'll drag you back out."
Tomina stared into his eyes, a tinge of pink on her tear stained face. She pressed her body as close as she could against him, and draped her arms around his shoulder. She was staring into his eyes, almost pledingly He had made her say some embarrassing things again. He better make up for that!
