It was true, but a tiring thing to hear.
Challenges by the weak were existent, even among her own people. Any death that could also come along with it, brought upon it a certain air she wished to avoid. The kind that made itself well aware, that people would be expectant of her, more than she had wished for them to be. It was the problem that came with Earth, and within the last few months, Namek, which winded up having those respective planets become tourist traps for alien races.
With a good chunk of earth's population having made their way to Bris, for the time being, it proved to also be a potential for becoming a tourist trap of its own. Though she supposed both Earth and Namek had people's interests, because of the tales there, along with the Saiyans own presence.
"Even with this whole ordeal, and the afterlife practically being made into a timeout corner, I still doubt any losses being taken kindly."
There were always going to be potential of these hybrid Saiyans, that she weren't going to be able to tolerate. It was just unbecoming for someone beneath her, and with no importance of their own, to go expecting things, or approaching those who were of importance. That less experienced male on Namek, if she could have things her way in the future, would be violating his boundaries. Ignorance wasn't a good excuse at all, or would really slide with her.
The kind of rule she envisioned, was partially one where those without importance could bugger off or risk the end of their life. Acquiring a planet of her own, and establishing that kind of line where it's fit, was supposed to relieve her of any aggression. But of course, her kind was possibly also the most casual about matters, once they were strong enough. Even raising the idea of flaying one who wasn't her own, she doubted most would sit well with.
Enact a punishment where it was fitting, and they'd just believe it to be an abhorrent idea. Nevermind how she was willing to send herself, or her own kind, into being dunked over and over into holy water, if it meant showing good faith. People had their own set of standards, yet weren't willing to abide by the ones of others. If the act of culling their own was normal for her people, due to territorial disputes, then what made the Saiyans and their history of conquering better? Their blood was diluted or likely would have been ages ago, if they didn't get around so much. They lucked out as much as earth did.
"That assumes your faction doesn’t invade Bris again, or that the Alliance Saiyans don’t interfere with things not their business, out of some goodness.”
She probably didn’t even need to mention Cambia would have likely been all over such a cause. Especially if an invasion was done so obviously by her. Although the willingness shown by the Elemi, was interesting, knowing she had only offered it in the first place, because they had their own goals in mind. Making them take the fall for such an invasion, was also just easier on her, than doing things herself. Too many obligations really had the habit of limiting what she could and couldn’t do. Taking over Bris in the first place, would require time to make bunkers underneath the city capital.
What she expected from her kin in the first place, as their queen, was already going to change a lot. The most naive and annoying of fledglings would have to be kept alive for who knows how long. At the very least, until they acquired their own planet. The mortal level could be damned by then, expecting peace and the like to happen for their lifespan. The blood magic inside of them, should have already been enough of a punishment. Why not have some beings immune to this whole mortal level ordeal? Treat those deemed lesser, to be like some cattle waiting to just be herded along.
The idea of even enacting an invasion during the Tournament of Power itself, only had her thinking back to the possibility of Nakiya going for such a route. It was something she was hoping for, as this God of Destruction with power even greater than Caesar, would likely also be at the tournament. But all of this talk about what the Demon Queen was like, made it difficult to tell how much of it was just from a viewpoint, and how much of it was the truth. She only knew there was a chance nothing might even happen at all. Whether because of cowardice, or playing too cautious.
This Tournament of Power, and the team that it was supposed to consist of, she didn’t doubt would likely have arguments. The strongest in the universe were likely going to be mostly Saiyan hybrids, and even what potential there was that wouldn’t, she doubted were even close to even being on par with the leaders of both Saiyans groups. She would have heard about them, if that was the case. Nakiya and anyone associated with her, were likely the only powerhouses who were demons, but they were nowhere near godlike. That much was pretty clear.
All this talk about these deities, and beings rising up to be heroes, played their roles in her wanting to really establish some boundaries. There were people who gained power that were really meant die, and not because they were loud mouths. Cambia, and everyone else in her past that spited her in some way, were better off not being in this realm with their lack of logic. Their types were the reasons advancements in technology could still and possibly remain the same another 100 years later. All of this senseless fear for people like her, grabbing the reigns of power.
And without some kind of tragic history, beyond what it took to even get her this far. Listening to the woman respond, they were all like woes no one had asked about, much like the new queen of this planet, who kept on trying to establish credibility. Bringing no form of an army, was only going to prevent losses until battles had actually happened. Would have been better to get the first taste now, than later. It would have proven to be more difficult for the demon she knew of, but also the chance to force it to use the technique she had taught it to learn.
”They can only luck out for so long out of boredom, or whatever possessed them to do such a thing. Sentiment is one of the weakest excuses I’ve heard of, that’s just begging to irate someone better.”
The reason for visiting hostile territory didn’t matter. If they weren’t capable enough of defending themselves, then it should be no surprise if they died. But it seemed as if so many Saiyans, even those with so much lesser power, had some sort of protection bestowed upon them. Made it so much harder to do anything beyond a spar, if she wished to inflict harm upon them, and she was so tired of such things. Especially knowing most likely deserved to die, if they really wished to fight a queen, that those underneath her, couldn’t have handled on their own.
”Regardless, whatever happens will be tiring, having to already play along with this planet’s laws, for the most part. Some method of forced exile, a delay in some kind of new act, or whatever else, I’m already expecting might be pulled. The most classic would have to be denial of an agreement.”
If support of the human population was a requirement, and terms of a potential partnership required acknowledgment of one in the first place, enough evidence was likely to have any court rule in her favor, based on at least willingness alone. Capsule Corp being the current and dominant market made that much easier. What kept blood from really being shed, was faith the blonde wouldn’t back out of her end of the deal. Even the idea of making her end somehow unnecessarily difficult, she considered to not be an issue. She would be so glad to go and leave this planet.
”Their members are certainly unheard of, when it comes to power, yes. It would be more suitable for them to give their positions away.”
Not that any organization with patrol in the name, would have likely been a good one. The idea of enacting space laws in the first place, on the level that it sounded like it reached, would have also likely been horribly boring. Something equivalent to earth’s army or navy. Expected regulations to follow, when she and those under her, were capable of doing so much more with the power they had. Besides, didn’t the existence of the deities openly interfering, make what these guys were doing a bit pointless? Mortals couldn’t beat the gods themselves watching things.
”My conversation with her felt like hours, which was mostly just parroting from her end, and the hope of earth sustaining itself, without aid from the other planets. As if debt can’t be paid back.”
There was no real reason not to have said that much, if they were really going to keep talking about the blonde in such a way. The long lifespan of hybrids and the like in the first place, shouldn’t be concerned with the worries of one generation anyhow. The cleanest slate anyone could have really picked up, would be destroying the planet itself and going to a new one. The universal concept of currency in the first place, and abiding by such, relied on not having the power to ignore it. What was just or not, it would be dealing with a child on the higher end of things.
”And he shouldn’t, with how the afterlife works anyway. The only deterrent is however long it takes to get out, and making up for loss time.”
It was supposed to be a terrifying concept, having and knowing that the world could move on without one being around. But with enough deaths under the belt, it wasn’t something that one couldn’t get used to either. If death had resulted into some kind of slumber before revival, she wouldn’t have minded that either. But consciousness remaining in some form, and what lied for beings after, made it to where it was better to revive and actually do more than float around. Bodies might have been available in that realm too, but there was more of a risk there.
”A move like that would cause some bitterness. And if shifting the blame to this city is her plan, then it could be a better one.”
Blaming West City for all the wreckage, just because it was doing well, would have been the equivalent of not having the same meal as someone else, despite already accepting something lesser. There was no good in doing such a thing, simply because it was a losing battle. A reason to take measurements into the hands of the supernatural. But even that, was a possibility the blonde might have been counting on. She already had in mind what her next grand order would be, when she had called for their next meeting, and explaining her reasons for it as well.
The problem that came with conquering and destroying, is that the ones doing it, were likely going to be usual cases, like Nakiya. It was expected of them at this point, and so success would be based on their own efforts. She’d do what she can to introduce interest of other beings to help out with things, if only because there was only so much leeway she could have, manipulating those demons for her own goals. They were most likely the sort to just go and concentrate entire forces into one area, while her own could easily be in different ones. She could afford to split them.
The Demon Queen’s relationship with Caesar, wasn’t one she had wished she knew so much about, in regards to the perversions. Even after expelling what she could, there was no way it could truly be purged from her mind. Not when as a queen, there was a side of her that had also saw the appeal in such things. Her becoming a Matriarch, had so made her detest her more older forms at times. And yet she had also despised the idea of being mistaken for a child, even if it was a good ace of sorts to use. Proven to be more mocking than any of her other forms in most cases.
”Beyond the experimentation you’ve already mentioned? I can only guess if she has that much in common with Caesar, then she’d be at least typical enough to make a similar wish to his rise in power.”
Which she had in mind to do the same just as well, if she could just get a hold of the artifacts and not have interference. But that was just so very unlikely to happen on Namek, and the Earth dragonballs were still innate. With any respective makers also likely to be weak, she doubted she could really wish it to better her own kind as a whole, rather than just herself. One of the things that made them different and better than other beings in the first place, was that their hierarchies were generally shared titles. Though she was likely to be the only Vampire Goddess.
New generations were always going to have ideals that the current time’s own, were likely to be considered outdated. It was disrespectful if she had ever pictured one, and if she really could be around to keep enforcing her own beliefs, then she would have no problem with doing so. The afterlife was just boring enough to go and continue that for centuries, if she had really needed to. But if Capsule Corp manages to still be around for this long, then things shouldn’t drastically change too much. It would be surprising if anything, finding some ideologies that were a bit too common.
”There’s no denying that for sure, but it’d be easier to have them absorb each other, since that seems like it’s how they advance and learn.”
It was what she could reason anyway, from her own Majin knowing about things she doubted East City should have knowledge of. Especially when she and a lot of those associated with her, was barely past high school education. There could only be so much that could be taught though, in a world where the weak could easily die from some blast of energy, if they weren’t important enough. Easier and much better to become fighters, along with traveling the world. Though Kami forbid education ever getting low enough not to be able to reason with others.
”You’ve taken rather long to visit this planet then. I’ve seen enough back in East City, what with it not being surrounded by a wasteland, like this one.”
Or really what used to be of East City. Even so, she doubted they were in any danger of being as extinct as the Saiyans were, with their malleable bodies. They were more just used as much as Elemi when it came to their chemical similarities. So many aliens not even born in this planet, were already fighting for earth. There likely wasn’t much reason to have them be so distinguished, as much as she remembered them to be, back when she had been a fledgling. And she took notice of that just as well. Though she doubted they could even process it shouldn’t be that way.
”If these forms were as suppressive as what the Kold Demons have, he would have been dead. I didn’t even possess this a year ago, nor recruited what I have now.”
The analogy used was just another one of those things, she expected more from people like Cambia, and sounded out of place to even hear now. It was just so crude, yet a simple mockery. One which she continued to gloss over like the earlier things that didn’t really need any open acknowledgment. Especially when there were both more important things being talked about, that didn’t need the distractions of something so trivial. She wasn’t the sort to really even dish back such things in the first place. It would be like talking to someone who just muttered nonsense.
”Blabbing about anything unnecessary in the first place, is just begging for some scuffle. I doubt even the gods would be willing to deal with such things, if they live in different universes.”
Not that having all of however many there was in the first place, was even a good idea. Why bother coming to a Universe that might not remotely even be similar to one’s own vision. It would be certainly be a big shock of sorts, having to really go by another one’s standards, even if it was temporary. She wouldn’t have even dealt with someone else’s mortals herself, if they were really doing as bad as these two universes apparently were. But what would she really know? The powers of a god on the level of Caesar, just wasn’t something she could reach herself yet.
Not when she knew she still wasn’t close to being at that man’s power. The idea of the woman coming inside, she hadn’t really expected to really have come to light, beyond what teasing had been mentioned earlier. Though she supposed it wasn’t the worst of ideas. The others were probably sick in the first place, of having to even wait on whether or not things would settle down. But it wasn’t as if these things could really be predicted in the first place. Not without some kind of sign anyone would have really wanted to trace her to this location way out here.
”If you wish.”
The doors of the building would be closed, as she led the way, making notice of several new signatures, who she knew must have taken the back way inside. The lavender-haired Vampire along with her own creation, seemed to have returned from their patrol, and from the sound of things, her two Androids. Her cousin’s appearance however, was a surprising appearance, knowing where the red-head was supposed to be. They were all in the living room, which she and the other Matriarchs had started to make private when it was needed, rather than somewhere else.
She could discern the smell of Bouillabaisse in the air, knowing the kitchen was just a room away, her own appearance having gotten the movement of those within the living room, as they stopped what chatter they had and moved the other way out. It was only her cousin, and her own Elemi, who stayed behind. Though she doubted the latter had meant to do so willingly, knowing even the slightest of conflict was likely to visibly pain the alien, and shut the girl’s eyes. Such weakness for someone who was on the par of the Supidoan, when the alien was at her best.
”If you can manage it, bring a plate from the other room and bring it to her.”
She had taken only a glance at the Elemi, who moved much slower than the others despite her youth, as her cousin had presented documents that needed her signature. Something that really should have came to her earlier, but the red-head didn’t look to be in the mood to really argue. Their relationship in the first place, was already complex, knowing she truly couldn’t stand being around the girl, with this innate detachment. But a punishment to power wasn’t something that just disappeared, nor would she really want it to, annoying as it was to really go and deal with.
As her cousin was sent on her way off with one of the others again, having had to wait for who knows how long, there was the slightest of satisfaction that came with watching the more frail Elemi have to nod to her orders, clear pain expressed here and there. She knew it to be due to the slightest movement of the girl’s clothing, which was pretty short as it already was, having consisted of her usual top without sleeves and shorts. There was no signs on that skin of hers, of having taken any signs of damage either. Not that the girl wouldn’t have healed from it anyhow.
”Out of all of them, it’s surprising to say only she and the Supidoan had better transformations than the ones who are of my own kind. But the latter was just so out of place at this point, even before finding her.”
She took a seat on one of the couches, frankly eager to be able to revert back to her regular form, when all this back and forth was over with.
