It was... What, three years? Three years of staying in hell. That had to be the number, it felt right, even if Adular wasn't keeping track. It's funny, despite how boring this place was, Adular found fun in it. Well, not much of it, but he managed to pull some silver lining from this cloud of sulfur. Though, he knew, he knew well, everyone should have known.
He no longer needed hell.
It was never a matter of punishment, it was never justice or comeuppance. Adular had figured it out - cracked the code! He knew why he was here, he knew, he knew it so well. He had learned a sensation he had felt only one time before, and he had overcome it. The searing misery that everyone was cursed with, he has learned it, mastered it, he could control it. He was no longer the egotistical Adular that had entered hell, foolishly thinking himself a top dog... Well, now, now he knew what he was. He was a warrior grown alive, but he was born in hell. He'd chuckle to himself, finally, he felt something new, something that didn't bore him. He felt mastery, he felt control, he felt like he was unstoppable. Any punch, any kick thrown at him, he knew how to defend himself, his stance was unbreakable, and he could break stone with nothing more than a flick.
Though, he was still yet to complete the last thing on his "unbucket list." Adular would smile, staring down a red, rocky mountain, full of various stalagmites that stuck from it like spikes on a mace. He was yet to master that move, that move that nearly destroyed him in the Afterlife's Martial Arts Tournament... That move... That move that... He- He- He should have lost to! Adular would grit his teeth, closing his eyes and scrunching up his face, balling his fists in such an intensity that his palms were nearly pierced with his nails. Though even then Adular remained focus, this rage, this pain, this humiliation, all it did was drive him! He knew what he had to do, he had a goal, and this goal wouldn't end in failure.
Taking a deep breath, Adular would face the mountain, his body faced the mountain face, his soul burned with a deepening fire, his eyes lit by the sun, looking a necrotic red, yet never more alive. Every inch of his body was burning with a fierce impulse to win, to win over himself, over his failures! Over his misery! Over every little mistake that lead him to the glorious power he bore now... He was going to erase this mountain, poetic almost, destroying a mountain he had climbed in order to get to this point. But now was not the time for soppy thinking, all that was in Adular's head was destruction and glory. He'd move his body into a combat ready pose, a new one. He had fought himself so many times, both figuratively, and literally, he knew his weaknesses at this point, and he'd make sure that exploiting them would be an impossibility.
As he took this new pose, he'd find himself in a heavy focus, not any force in the world would be able to rip him away from this... Nothing.
"KAAAA-" Adular would yell, shifting his pose to the one that Rensu had taken in their battle. He saw him, he saw him in the corner of his eye, that yellow haired Saiyan, a mirage of the fighter whom he clashed with. The transparent image of the Saiyan would move his body, the movements of the Kamehameha wave, slowly, Adular would copy him, his body shifting in the exact same way. He'd watch on, seeing this golden warrior, the blue magnificent blue orb of energy forming in his hands, shining brilliantly in the red haze of hell, yellow and blue, fusing together into a power Adular hungered to find...
"MEEEE-" Adular's own form would mimic this, a spark of lightning racing up his body, dancing from the orb of energy. He lacked an aura, but with the amount of power channeling through his body, a mile of hell must have been illuminated by the sparks of light. The ball of energy he held in his hands would glow with a fierce heat, a corrupt blue, full of ego, malice, and cruelty, and overwhelmingly, pride. He felt his rush through his body, cooking himself inside out, yet keeping himself steeled, ready for the blast.
"HAAAA-" Adular would take a deep breath, the orb lit the sky with a fantastical light. He'd look over, seeing the form of Rensu take that final push, the push that released such a tremendous wave of energy, the move that Adular held in his hands.
"MEEEE-" It was now or never.
He had everything to prove, and all of it for himself.
"HAAAA!-"
A wave of godly energy would pour outwards from Adular's being, a white hot beam of energy searing his hands as it was released like torrential rain. As it flowed out of his body, it'd take color - shape, a blue wave of heat, a true force of destruction. A wave of incredible power, why, Adular felt like he bore the power to destroy a Solar System... A Solar Kamehameha.
Adular would take a deep breath, immediately falling to his knees after releasing such a powerful wave of energy. As he laid on the floor, he'd take short, raspy breaths, though as he looked up, he'd see with joy, the annihilation of the mountain that stood before him, a large swath of destruction consuming the landscape that once stood there. It was... Hilarious, Adular would be in hysterics! Laughing like a madman, pounding the ground with his fist as he put his hand to his forehead, tears of laughter leaking onto the ground beneath him, it was so funny! He- He... He did it, he did more than it, he didn't just release a Kamehameha, he did it better.
As he'd wipe away the last bit of tears from his eyes, he'd slowly stand up. He was finished, he had gotten everything he needed out of hell, and well. Now, now it was back to a boring rock of red. He'd smile though, with his clash with Kira, she let him know that there was a way to escape from this hellhole.
How hilarious, if they had never met, his mind would never have even thought of training to find a way to escape.
"Haa… HAAAAAAA!" Adular would suddenly break out into a scream, putting his elbows to his side as light roared from his body, a massive gust of force ripping through the earthen ground. He'd throw his back forward, every single one of his veins pulsing out of his body as energy SOARED through the air. His body was ripping itself to shreds with all the force he output, but still, he knew what he was doing. Adular knew. With a fierce roar, he would throw posture back, roaring to the sky as his eyes glanced toward the clouds, which swirled around him. He'd take staggered breaths, his body suddenly growing transparent, fading in, and out, in, and out.
He'd continue roaring, an unbroken chain of yelling for what must have been three minutes, his body was unearthly at this point, you could see straight through him. But he wasn't done, he wasn't finished! He crouched down, lighting creating a solid barrier around his body, and in one final roar, would lunge upwards, throwing his arms out, and with a massive explosion, vanish.
...
All that remained was a hundred meter crater, a devastating effect of Adular's revival.
