A few days passed since their first kiss. In that time Demalia had showed Rutaba around her planet. She had shown him wonderful sights strangely enough, she seemed hesitant to being Rutaba into the city. But she showed him plenty of interesting marvels on the planet.
They had just gotten done testing Demalia's equipment when her scooter beeped. She answered it and told Rutaba that she had to take care of something. Before she left, she had told Rutaba to check his room for something. With that cryptic remark, she departed from the mansion.
Rutaba would find male Kimono's folded neatly on his bed. They looked to be tailored to his size. The appropriate footwear was there too. On the bed he would also find a note from Demalia.
"I know this must be a bit strange, but could you put on a Kimono and head out to the backyard in about an hour? There will be a space pod that will take you to a very special place. I'll meet you there, okay? Sorry about the secrecy. I really want this night to go perfectly."

With the testing over with and Demalia taking her leave for something, Rutaba went to his room to see what exactly Demalia wanted him to see in there. The clothes and shoes were relatively foreign to him causing him to get a little confused as he picked up the note to read over it.
After he got to the end, his eyes would dart back to the clothes and shoes. "Kimono..." he'd mumble to himself while pulling his training gear off and throwing it to the side of the bed. With a single glance to his body, he decided that he should get washed up given he had just been testing Demalia's equipment, he was in no state to go out in such a fine outfit.
It didn't take the Saiyan all that long to get clean and return to his room to get dressed. Of course, seeing as he hadn't touched a Kimono in his life he fumbled around with how exactly to get it on. In the end, he found something that looked passable but he wasn't sure if it was accurate still. He could fumble with it for longer but his time was running out so he took the note that Demalia had put down for him and went out to the backyard to look for the pod and Demalia seeing as the hour was almost over. The pod was raised up on a platform in the middle of the garden. It was modified so that it would fit two people. It was opened, revealing cushioned seats that had a couple feet of distance between them. Demalia stepped out from behind the pod. She was dressed in her own elaborate kimono. She gave Rutaba a nervous smile.
"You look very handsome in that. I've actually been waiting for this day ever since we took off from Sadal. Well, I've been both excited and nervous about it actually... "
Demalia scratched her cheek, pivoting her feet absentmindedly. She didn't realize she was out of position at first. Then she looked down. With a "oh!", she shifted her feet and straightened herself out, reaching up and rubbing the back of her hair on embarrassment.
"I wanted to keep it a surprise though. There is a special festival I want you to take part in with me."

Rutaba could only stop and smile happily back towards his girlfriend as she revealed herself. He took a moment to scan the outfit she was wearing now, finding it quite nice with his smile persisting as she complimented how he looked and explained a bit of what was going on. "And you look quite beautiful yourself, that looks great on you." he'd say while passively looking down at his own Kimono a little uneasy. "I don't know if I did this right... but I'm glad it looks good." he'd remark before walking closer towards Demalia.
He could only chuckle as she fixed her positioning looking so embarrassed, stopping in front of her as she finished speaking. "A festival you say? I look forward to spending some time with you. I'm sure we'll be the highlight of the crowd." he'd smirk at the thought of the two of them flaunting themselves around at some festival as a public couple now.
"If you're so excited for this I don't want to keep you waiting." he'd get closer to the pod as he spoke, ready to enter whenever she deemed it was time to go. WC: 192 TWC: 422
"Thanks! I did try my best to dress up while being tasteful about it. I'm glad you like it."
Demalia blushed; rubbing the back of her head. She still wasn't used to getting praise from anyone like that. She looked to the side, twiddling her thumbs together. The compliment combined with the image of walking through the festival with Rutaba made her heart flutter.
"Yeah… we are rather tall, aren't we?"
Demalia kicked herself for not being able to say anything more than that. But Rutaba could just completely melt her at a moment's notice. She got into the pod, waiting for Rutaba to climb in. Once he was sitting next to her, the door closed, and they zoomed into the sky.
The scenery passed them by. They quickly flew out of the city. Rutaba would be able to see a lush forest on the ground below. Demalia's eyes were out looking towards the horizon though. She reached out with one hand, grasping one of zmRutaba's and squeezing gently.
The Saiyan smiled playfully back to Demalia as she mentioned them being sort of tall, it was especially true compared to the norm of Tuffles. It wasn't exactly what he meant when he said they'd be the highlight, but it was a cute response so Rutaba couldn't help but be happy.
No time was wasted climbing into the pod alongside his girlfriend, Rutaba sitting back in the pod feeling quite nostalgic to his personal battle pod that he used to use. It was practically junk now though, they probably scrapped it back on Sadala while he was gone.
Being stuck on the feeling of being in a pod again, Rutaba all but missed the scenery going by at first. He drifted off in thought until the feeling of Demalia squeezing his hand washed over him, causing him to snap back into reality and glance her way for just a moment. Seeing where she was looking, he'd just smile passively to himself and squeeze her hand in return, turning his head to tentatively stare out the pod window.
Rutaba could tell immediately that this was going to be a fun day. He sat silently and peacefully, for the time being, just letting this nice moment sit as they went to their destination. WC: 211 TWC: 633
Demalia wanted to enjoy the moment as much as possible. Just sitting up here with Rutaba as they went higher and higher. Aside from the hum of the engines it was a rather tranquil place, being by themselves. But soon a huge platform in the air came into view. It was at a higher elevation off a bit in the distance. The pod zoomed above it, then started moving towards it. They were just above the cloud line. The sun was shining in the sky, casting a golden glow on the evening sky. From where they were they cod various venues and structures. They weren't all that towering compared to the city, despite the amount of space the platform had. Demalia turned to look over at Rutaba.
"The festival of Knoall is a celebration of our earliest years. Years ago our ancesestors looked up into the sky and saw the stars. They wondered what was out there. This festival celebrates those times, when we lived in simple villages. At nightfall we become close to the stars, and gaze upon what inspired us to create our great civilization. I want you to share this with me... with all of us."
