A Hero needs his Strength (Jie Shan)

The Hero didn’t move of an inch, he looked at Jie Shan as the latter one smirked. He narrowed his eyes slightly, at first he couldn’t understand what was the meaning of that smirk but perhaps the Human had just pressed a button he shouldn’t have even touched. The Hero had never been concerned of such anything on Earth; he didn’t need to. He had usually got out of everything with one punch against most criminals or creatures. But fighting a Saiyan was much more different than anything else he had ever fought but he was not planning to consider himself defeated so easily.

And apparently, the Hero had indeed pressed a button within the Saiyan. “I am strong.. for an Earthling.. Huh? He must be going for something much more different than anything he has done so far if he wants to test me.. Perhaps I’ll regret calling him out..” - he thought to himself, looking at the Saiyan in the distance and apparently he was right; Jie Shan was really going to use quite a technique.. Much more powerful than what the Hero could take in.

But nonetheless, he didn’t move. He stood there, his expression didn’t show any sign of dullness anymore.. This time he had acknowledged the risk and was ready to take it, he had become fearless of what was thrown at him; he couldn’t care any less. A stoic, but also riskful personality. He had never even thought of backing down and he wasn’t going to do it in a sparring session, no.

Though, in his current form he was weaker than before and the Saiyan’s cannon was more than simply a joke but still, the Hero embraced the attack without fear. Much to the Human’s surprise, that Ki technique was more powerful than what he had expected to and caused great pain to the Hero. He could feel it in his, now burning flesh.. It was painful.

The Hero stood there, without moving of an inch as he seemed to have taken damage. He was expressionless, his body, now back to normal, was surrounded by smokescreens in a huge smoke cloud, which was quite difficult to see through.



“I-I.. have taken more.. no. I have taken too much..” - he muttered. There was nothing else he could at that point but give up, but did he want to? No. But at that point there was only that much he could do and his best option was to collapse and fall unconscious before calling it a day, it was tempting.. too much. He was ashamed of that, but he couldn't hide it.. he was about to fall down on the ground.

All of a sudden, he felt something.. or rather someone touching his shoulder. He didn’t have the courage to turn for once, but he was entirely sure someone had just placed a hand on his shoulder.

“Are you just going to taste the dirt of defeat and let him claim himself victorious without fighting back? What are you waiting for?! Go! Give him all you have got, unleash the almighty rage of a hundred gods in your fists!” - a masculine voice spoke up, it sounded familiar to the Hero but he could not remember where he had heard it before. But he was right.. he couldn’t really go down that easily, no he couldn’t. His arms twitched slightly as he reassembled himself, adjusting his stance but how? Not even a moment ago he couldn’t even turn to face whoever was speaking with him, but his willpower had unleashed a power from the depths of his heart; he could feel it flowing through his whole body. There was no outer alteration, the only ‘change’ was his power. Aside from a few burns and a slightly ruined outfit because of the Saiyan Hybrid’s technique.

The Hero glanced over his shoulder, only to find no one. He frowned for a brief moment, was it just his imagination? He had no idea, he shifted his gaze forward and took a few steps towards the Saiyan, making his way out of the smoke cloud which had begun to fade away.



“This is what I can do.” - he said sternly, looking at Jie Shan with.. a rather unusual expression on his face; he didn’t look dull anymore.. he was completely serious for once. He clenched his fist tightly, focusing a greater energy.. he had never tried to concentrate that much power inside his fist before, but it was his only chance to hit the Saiyan.

“Killer Move..” - he muttered. He was going to concentrate as much energy as he could, he couldn't tell if the Saiyan would have let him charging his punch but he had no other techniques he could use.
