The hellish landscape of Makaii had been Colfenni's home for longer than she could remember. Which in comparison to some may not seem like much, as she was still a small child by earthling standards. She had known about her sister for some time now and how the egg was never able to hatch. Her attempts to break it open to free her never before seen sibling had always ended in futile attempts so after awhile she had given up. Of course she would still come to visit, as the slithris she didn't even yet know the name was literally the only blood relative she knew about. While she had a strong hatred for pretty much everything that wasn't the demon queen Nakiya, the sadistic little snake girl would feel a strange sort of connection to the family she had never even met. Who's to say she wasn't dead? 'That's ridiculous. There's no reason for me to survive and for her not to.' The snake girl thought to herself as she approached the place where her sister's egg would usually be.
Colfenni would blink twice she took note of how the egg was moving and had cracks all over its outer shell. A large smile would grow on her face, showing all her pointed razor sharp teeth. As much as she hated showing her teeth when she smiled she couldn't help it- she was excited! "I'll help you!" The little wizard cheered and quickly slithered towards the egg. She would raise her hands, having them hover the egg while a red glow emanated from her palms. With the combined forces of the two siblings the egg would start to come away much, much faster. Truth be told, as much as she wanted to claim her sibling was actually a girl, she wasn't one hundred percent sure. But because shew as coming to that age where boys were 'icky' she wanted to convince herself that she wouldn't be stuck with a brother. "Come on, you're stronger than me! I can feel it. Together- our powers combined- we could conquer much more than just a simple egg shell!" The snake demon would continue to encourage Nyxosa whether she could be heard through the cracked shell or not.
'Just a little more..' Colfenni thought to herself as more and more energy continued to surge through her arms causing the egg to begin glowing a bright red and pieces of it to fall off. None of it would be possible without Nyxosa's added strength, though. "Do you want to stay trapped forever?! Come on!"
She had only just awoken from her final dream and she sought that freedom she had been craving ever since. She was so determined she didn't know how long she had even been in here. Though she yearned for the outside world that was her home. She couldn't see it yet but she could see the cracks of light burning from those few cracks. She was so close, she had been gathering her strength for what seemed like so long, his old was she even? These were all questions she just yearned for, things she wished she could fully become.
She yearned to see her momma. She was just coming so close and her strength had grown so much. She felt at that moment someone trying to help her out, someone was pouring their energy towards her to try and break her free? Was it momma? No this felt different. It didn't feel purely demonic. Either way she couldn't just turn it down. She had to prove she was strong to her momma. She continued to push with her might combined with the one helping her as the cracks began appearing more and more often. It continued growing and growing with them.
She was almost there, she just had to keep laughing to get free! She wanted to see momma! She felt her energy starting to strengthen as she felt a push from an invisible force as she pushed her way out of he egg. She had done it...and she was free. So free. She couldn't open her eyes yet though as she recovered from the experience. She never wanted to be trapped in such a thing ever again. It had been only constant dream after constant dream and she just couldn't stop and stand it anymore. It didn't matter now though, she was free and that was what mattered.
She opened her eyes revealing the yellow and Amber hue of them inside their slits. She looked down at her skin seeing its soft purple hue. What was this even? She had never seen anything like it before and that was how she knew this wasn't a dream. As she looked around the landscape and noticed of the demon realm looking like her dream she gazed around with glassed eyes as she studied her first sights..that was when she began to realize that someone else was here. Someone she truly didn't know yet but still felt familiar to the energy that helped get her free.
She looked around on the ground though and found some clothing she. Put on giving her the look from how she was described. She found two demon flowers as well that she tied into her white and silver hair. Now was the moment of truth though as she wiggled her tail so that she could have her body upwards to a smaller size than the five year old. "Where Mama?" She would speak her first word as she pointed upward at the demon castle they were near.
Colfenni shielded her eyes with her hands as the egg broke. As much as she planned to love her sister, she still did not wish to see her bits and bobs. She would look back once Nyxosa was clothed. Her immediate reaction was in regard to Nyxosa's face as she furrowed her brow and pursed her lips as if to hide her teeth. 'She looks a lot more normal than I do..' The older snake sister would think to herself. She had never truly been outside the demon realm but she had managed to score sneak peeks through good ole' fashioned magic so what she considered to look normal had been determined by that of humans. As far as she knew, she was the only little girl to have sharp pointed teeth and black scleras. "What do you mean 'wheres mama'? I didn't even know we had a mama." The little wizard would try to keep her teeth hidden with her upper and bottom lips as she spoke. Only more surprises were coming Colfenni's way. The idea of having a mother that was alive made her eyes widen a bit in surprise.
The little wizard would look up at the castle and arch a brow. "Our mama is all the way up there?" Colfenni muttered before looking down at the ground and aiming her open palms at it. A red glow would emanate from her palms once more as a black platform in the shape of a square would materialize beneath the two siblings. She would then turn back to Nyxosa and extend a hand towards her. "Come on, I'll take us up there then you gotta show me where mama is. Okay?" Should Nyxosa take hold of Colfenni's hand, the older sister would start to move forward while the platform would move progressively upwards into the air at an angle with Colfenni's forward movements.
Colfenni was honestly unsure of how to feel. If whoever was up in that castle was there 'mama', why had the two snake girls been seemingly abandoned. She wanted to be mad, but she was just too happy to finally have her sister hatch. At least now- mama or no mama- she did not have to be alone in Makaii with no definite clue of where to go. "Do you want mama to name you or should I name you? You could name yourself too, if you'd like to." The older sister would ask, trying to have some sort of menial conversation with Nyxosa. Though considering she just hatched she might not be the best at carrying it on for very long.
She really didn't know what exactly to think of. She was confused of why she felt only a ghost of her mama's energy at the castle. It wa alike she wasn't there any longer. If so though where could she have gone? Where oh where would she be? It was almost strange how her thoughts though could be so complex but yet she could not speak such words. In frank slithering was still rather new to her. She supposed her mouth would just need to learn eventually of what it should truly respond to. Such a strange world from her dreams.
She wondered though whys he could still feel a part of her energy? Was it rather that she was only sensing a part of her own energy? Had her energy adapted to that of the one to have awoken her? It wasn't nearly as strong but yet it still felt just as familiar, except half of it felt of a stranger energy she still didn't recognize. Where it was from she didn't know yet. It felt as evil as the one she believed to be her mama. Yet it was different in that it didn't feel like that of her species. It felt stranger than that. What could such a thing possibly be?
She looked at the one who helped her break free... She didn't know who they were but yet she felt a connection with her. The one from the other part of her ki that didn't match her mama's. The snakey feeling part of it. What was this connection she had with them? Was she family as well? She looked so similar to herself. Was she her sister? It would explain why she looked so much like her...except that she was more demonic looking than herself. "Mama gone, mama up there."
She would say as she began doing something that might shock her sister. She began to fly on her own upward. Her power being available to ki sense now. It meant her sister might see another thing to shock her. The four year old's power level almost doubled the older sibling's. The way she was flying though had her tail slithering like a snakes as she went upward towards the castle. If her sister hadn't been freaked out by now she might have been now by how her baby sister was acting. She would be able to tell that something about her sister did indeed feel different.
As they were flying upward she did say one thing though. "Mama name me." Nxyosa would say as she began to near the demon castle no doubt alerting the stranger who was there.
Colfenni gasped and reached forward trying to grab for her sister but would recoil back as she saw the younger sister take flight. Only now that Nyxosa's ki was unsuppressed was Colfenni able to get a good idea of just how much potential this four year old newborn (for all the sense 'four year old newborn' made..) had in her tiny untrained body. That wasn't to say Colfenni herself wasn't trained though aside from a little pebble popping and lighting random creatures on fire with her mind if she thought they looked funny. The way Nyxosa flew was another sight on it's own- completely taking Colfenni's attention away from the whole double power level thing and causing her to laugh outloud. "You don't expect anyone to take you seriously like that, do you sis?" The little wizard would ask as she sped up her 'flight' by willing the platform beneath her to move faster with her movements.
Colfenni lowered herself to the ground just infront of the castle's entrance after having outsped her sister. "If mama doesn't come up with something I will. I'm not even sure that she's even going to be in there." Colfenni looked up at the demonic castle feeling somewhat intimidated by its sheer size. Whoever did live in there probably didn't want anything to do with a pair of snake children. "Well.. Even if she's not in there we'll look in other places! We could leave Makaii if you really, really wanna find her." The older sister added on, looking at Nyxosa as if expecting some sort of response.
If they were going to leave Makaii, Earth would not be an option. Nyxosa may be able to pass without the planet's inhabitants panicking but that was only a probability. Colfenni would cause widespread panic if she accidentally flashed a grin. 'But what if..' The snake girl started her thought as she grabbed her collar and pulled it up over her mouth to find that the collar had been rolled down the entire time. 'Perfect.' Colfenni finished as she found she could pull the collar up like a sort of cover to keep her mouth concealed. It wasn't too hard to breathe through the cover, either. "So.. what do we do if mama isn't here? Where do you think we could look for her next?" Colfenni asked and was happy to find the cover didn't even muffle her speech- just as if it were made for its current purpose. "I don't mean to say she isn't here but there's always the possibility- and its good to plan ahead."
The black and red bio-armoured Kold Demon was busy reading through some pages of the ancient tome of the evil sorcerers that had come before him, looking over their notes and addendums whilst adding his own in a few places from his own experiences that his predecessors did not have. His vampiric demon maid arrived next to his chair, a simple silver tray in her hands with a single ornate cup resting on it with what looked like tea inside it.
Abzerute used his tail to collect the cup and gently bring it to his lips. There was the merest hint of a ruffle from Mircalla, to which he chuckled slightly, his tail redirecting the cup towards her lips.
"Drink." he ordered her, using the Mark he had scorched into her forehead to compel her to obey the command. Unable to resist, she could only watch as her hands collected the cup and brought it to her lips. Her eyes widened as the liquid entered her mouth and went down her throat.
The Kold Demon watched with a mild interest as her face scrunched up and she began to cough, falling to the floor for a moment, spasming. "Almost my dear, almost." he mused, inspecting the contents of the cup with a smirk as he glanced down at the writhing form of his maid slave.
"However, I'm afraid even if you hadn't given your game away, this variety of poison would do little more to my physiology than give me a case of terrible gas for a week." he said, chuckling at the groan this information elicited from her lips. The Kold Demon looked towards the main door to the castle, having sensed two power signatures that seemed demonic in nature, but held as well something else to them.
"Curious... Mircalla would you-" he began to say before looking at the vampiric demon still writhing in agony on the floor. "Ah yes, I forgot. No matter, I'll handle it... may even get some new test subjects for my work if I'm lucky." Abzerute mused thoughtfully as he began to leave his chambers and make his way towards the front gate.
Too be honest she felt as if she was in perfect bliss being near such powerful demonic energy. To imagine what it felt like to her, it felt like she was surrounded by a warmth that would just never go away but yet would make you feel oh so confident. More so than most would even begin to expect. That was exactly what she was feeling as she began to come closer and closer to the large source of where the demon queen had left. That was the thing after all. That was the whole thing she was feeling. It would mar most wonder what truly changed if her from the exposure of energy upon her while she was in that egg.
What had happened was that her demonic side had became tainted. Tainted of constant exposure to that of a matching frequency to the one that had been radiating around the outside of her egg. The tainted demon side of her had been overloaded if it had stayed how it had. So instead in only to survive it adopted the frequency of her mama's energy. However it had begun rewriting many things, her personality, who her maternal bond was allocated to, thus was to create who she was now. The innocent looking snake girl on the outside, but a very corrupt soul on the inside.
That was when she was commented on her flying by her sister. "Den let dem not take me, dey will regret it" She would say as she continued to fly up towards the castle. The rest of the way she stayed silent not even answering the very questions her sister asked of her. She saw it as that her sister should understand that she already knew her mama wasn't here but somewhere else where she couldn't sense her. However this place would be one of the biggest clues to finding her location.
As soon as they began to bear the front gate she also sensed another energy. Powerful thought it was it wasn't her mama. However maybe they would know something of where she might be. If she did than that could be truly useful in itself. With that she raised her hand to simply knock on the door. She could sense someone in pain on the inside though...it felt delicious, their paint that is, the possible torture. It was too bad she couldn't stay and help with that but she has to find Mama. Maybe her sister though would be distracted enough with whoever was approaching.
Colfenni wasn't going to wait around for someone to open the doors into the castle. Raising her hands as Nyxosa knocked, she would begin to chant as her hands emanated a red glow and the door would slowly ease open as it gained a red outline. Someone inside was definitely having a helluva time.. it didn't exactly tickle her pickle, and the other energy that felt much stronger didn't really give her something to write home about. Honestly, she wasn't impressed. Not to say that she herself was better but she couldn't help but think that there was someone out there that could do much much better- in both regards to power level and the amount of pain they could inflict upon another being. "Go on inside, sister. We can split up and look around." Colfenni stated as she slithered into the castle just as if she owned the place.
"And right you are, sister. It would not be the first time our mother would have disowned us. It will not happen a second time- I will personally ensure that at least you are secure with her.. assuming she exists to begin with. Do you have any idea where we can start looking?" Colfenni would ask, looking around the large main room of the demonic castle. "She must have a bedroom somewhere in here.. Probably one of the nicer rooms. She may even have an office of some kind." Colfenni began to throw ideas out there as she crossed her arms. "Or maybe the source of this energy would be willing to tell us where she is."
"It seems we're going to need to procure some guards after all if its that easy for a pair of children to get in through the front door without permission." declared the bronze fleshed Kold Demon as he walked into the main hallway, eyeing the two snake like humanoids. The one with the robes appeared to be the elder, whilst the semi-nude one appeared to be the younger. "Now then, would either of you care to explain what you're doing here, and whom precisely you are looking for?" Abzerute asked of the two children, trying to discern how it was that they wound up in the demon realm. "If you're looking for Queen Nakiya, I'm afraid she's not in residence at the moment."
Well her sister was definitely the rude one, even if she was more corrupted internally than her sister was externally. She knew the rights of royalty and to simply barge in on someone who could possibly be stronger than yourself was the opposite of an act of survival. In honesty the more she had been with her sister the more she was beginning to find her annoying rather than useful. This just couldn't be her sister...what had changed between the two to just make one so...lacking of survival instincts. Maybe that was the thing she had to thank her momma's energy for. Maybe that's dominance over her personality was what gave her the compensation to know when something to be done could risk her own life.
Maybe that was really what her sister was to her mainly. Just an asset really and a backup reliability cause. There were no other true feelings for her besides that. Maybe she could just fake her feelings though. It's not like the other sibling truly mattered to her really. Even if she had helped a bit in breaking her free of her egg it was mostly her own energy she had been gathering to escape. That and the aura of her mother's energy was what truly did the punch. Without the energy she had felt of her mama she would have never escaped.
Now that was made her a sweet little thing on the outside, no doubt though that the true evil sorcerer could sense that darkness in her and maybe relish in the fact of how similar it was to his own master's. If he could feel ki maybe he would even be able to tell why only half of her ki felt similar to the other snakeling's while her demonic half felt oh so similar to that of Nakiya's. Though she would never be able to play her cards right with this incompetent sister of hers. There must be a way to just keep her distracted off of herself. Some way and some how a way to keep her distracted off of her own plans.
That was when they met their first visitor. The only powerful being that lived here currently and that was her. As she listened to their first comment she could only roll her slitted amber eyes as she nodded to the bit he mentioned of getting stronger and more attentive guards. Speaking of which she pointed to a door way to the side of which they were at from what she could sense inside, said guard was quite literally sleeping on the job and no doubt Abzerute would be mildly annoyed by the guard that was sleeping behind the door. Such were so unreliable for true guards really.
That was when however that the strange frost demon began to question of who they were and where they came from. It was at that moment she felt something of a name to fit her disgusting cross species of oneself. Yet just maybe she could use the both sides of her blood to enhance her own corruption. A name she had no true idea was similar to that of the man's queen. For it was before he would mention it. "Nyxosa, look for mama..."She would say the few words she could say but possibly her sister could notice how she was beginning to speak longer and longer sentences. "I born right outside castle...outside throne room...short while ago." She would finish saying with obvious difficulty.
If Abz could sense her power she could see that the rather new born was already stronger than the older one. It was entirely possible that she could hold more potential than her sister. Something that could surely be beneficial for Nakiya or Abzerute for their experimentation or manipulation. Once he mentioned that of Queen Nakiya...the name reveled through her body as she felt her body power up slightly from the mere mention of the name to someone who was maternally bonded towards such demon queen. Whether they would know it or not the girl now name Nyxosa would only truly listen to but one only...and that was the demon queen. To serve as the best "daughter" she could.
Colfenni arched a brow at the sight of the kold demon. This was a type of humanoid she had not seen before- most likely due to the fact that her observations only went as far as the earth, and there weren't many kold demons down there at all. Mostly humans.. and some elemi. But with elemi one has a tendency of being unable to distinguish the two races from one another without being able to sense their Ki. "I do not think it would be that easy for any normal person. These martial artists can fire their lasers and scream until their lungs give out, but I will stick to my magic." Colfenni responded- despite the power difference between her and her sister, she was quite proud of her abilities. Besides, Nyxosa might have only been stronger due to that aforementioned mutation. Or maybe it was the amount of time she had spent in the egg- but those two ideas sort of went hand in hand. Colfenni's impatience and drive to get the young snake girl to their supposed 'mama' was what made her open the door. It was mostly the latter that had compelled her- if it came off as annoying, it was not intended. The older sister was simply trying to fulfill her obligations as the older sibling by taking care of whatever it was Nyxosa wanted. But of course, such things had to be a two way street between siblings.
It would be right to assume Nyxosa possessed more internal corruption than the older sister did. Despite her demon genes being dominant, her corruption was mostly if not wholly external- blacks for whites, razor sharp teeth, slit pupils. The usual demonic stuff. It would certainly be a stretch, but with the right training perhaps her lack of corruption could allow her to better disguise what was visible. Otherwise, anymore corruption might just cause her to look even more sinister. More corruption is what demons usually went for though- so she might just have to learn to quit caring about her appearance.
The older sister noticed Nyxosa's difficult with forming proper, good sounding sentences instead of that old caveman grammar and raised a hand as if to shush her. Not as a rude gesture, but more like a 'nah, I got this' kind of thing. "My sister- er.. Nyxosa- is a newborn. I know she doesn't look like a baby but.. I'm still trying to figure it out myself. My best guess is that something went wrong while she was being developed inside of the egg. It seems to have had more of a positive effect rather than a negative one. First thing she sought out to do was look for our mother, so I'm trying to help.. But I don't even know what this woman looks like. We were abandoned at birth." Colfenni explained their plight to the bronze armoured kold demon. For a five year old, she sure didn't have the grammar of one.
The bronze fleshed Kold Demon listened to the two speak and explain themselves. It was a very curious tale that this Nyxosa and her older sister shared with him, seeking out their mother whom the younger believed to reside here in this castle. The elder seemed to have begun her studies into the magical arts, whilst the younger seemed to be more focused on the ki energy path of things. The dichotomy present here was very intriguing.
However, he could not dwell on it for long. At least not right now. No, right now he had to perform a little... test. He had noticed how the younger had reacted to the word Nakiya, and was curious. "I see... well, perhaps I could be of some assistance in that regard." said Abzerute as he gestured for the pair to follow him, deeper into the castle. "My duties to the Queen include keeping a catalogue of all the demons and those with demonic blood in Makai and beyond. Samples of their energy, references and such." he said, somewhat blasély.
"Since you both seem proficient in detecting and identifying energy... perhaps you would be able to tell which of the samples there are in the collection is a match for what you believe your mothers to be?" he mused, taking a deliberate route that took them past Nakiya's personal chambers. If his theory was correct, then the proximity to a location that was practically dripping with not only the Demon Queen's energy but also her scent and other such biological factors, would trigger a response in the younger sister if not the elder.
The girl really was a marveled at such intricate designs of this place. Such architecture filled with the very power to cause those that wish to oppose fear. The kind of fear that drove others to submit and to learn their place before speaking for they don't know if they would be the next one to be on the list. That was why she smiled at the architecture and design of this place, imagining those who could one day be below her and her mother. The ones who could become the slaves of which to never rebel lest to lose the very hope they try and fail to find.
It was truth that she was corrupted internally rather deeply but at such beginning stages it was only a minor corruption compared to what it could be. The level of strength it could reach possibly she could only imagine the possibilities of such a thing. She could become the perfect weapon in her belief for her mother. Yes she would strive to do such a thing and truly become that of a perfect weapon for her, a perfect daughter at any cost for her. She couldn't let her self be deceived by others however. This was a place fit just for that and she just had to pass the test to prove herself to her mother.
Her sister however had begun to shush her and that really was annoying to say the very least even if she gave a look of how she had this. She obviously didn't, she sounded like a fool ready to believe every think this demon would say to her. She even began to tell them of their entire background...was she trying to tell him everything about them as she could? She was almost positive now that this could not be her sister. There wasn't any way someone related to her could possibly be this idiotic. Well if they were she hoped it wasn't hereditarily.
As he began to mention his big and fancy title she expected her sister to actually follow along. While the demon's position could be true and they really wern't going to learn anything standing her she decided to follow. It wasn't to be her first choice but in reality what other choices were there really? If they stayed her than they would most likely never find their goal...rather her goal in truth to find her mother... It was her goal and not her sisters originally. In fact she didn't know what exactly was her sister's true goal. Why had she been just watching over her and was she really her sister? She didn't even feel a similarity in anything with her besides their skin color.
Nyxosa began to follow the demon along as well with her sister most likely and frankly she felt something coming along that felt more and more like her mother. She had never even been in this castle before but it almost seemed like she wasn't even following Abz at moment and in fact was rather following mainly her sense of smell as well a familiar ki footprint of what had to be her mother's it was the same energy she could feel from herself except for the other half of her energy. The part that diluted with her mother's demon energy. She despised it but yet she could see the purpose of it to help herself. It already had seemed to have a fine a connection with the demon half. While the other two would hopefully walking onward she would stop at the room to Nakiya's door only thinking that it was her Mother's scent to it and energy... She was unmoving as she stared at the door. The scent she was smelling was the scent only smelled by a daughter to their mother. Her sister however wouldn't be able to feel suchlike since it was only her own maternal bond that had been corrupted while she was in the egg.
"Thank you." Colfenni nodded as the Kold demon offered to help them- she had honestly expected him to kick the two of them off, but spilling the beans seemed to have been the best course of action to take. Sure, she had said quite a bit.. But she was just determined to find their mother. Not for her own sake, as she honestly give a damn. But Nyxosa seemed to really want to see her, so as the older sibling she was obligated to help. It didn't seem like she was going to be getting very much out of it, other than a one-way ticket out of Makaii or a big M on her forehead. She would fulfill her duties as a sibling quite willingly- assuming she wasn't going to get it thrown back in her face.
Walking passed Nakiya's chambers did not draw any sort of reaction out of Colfenni. She was completely unaware of the fact there were traces of Nakiya's energy in that room- making it clear she did not feel the same strong connection that Nyxosa evidently did. Although, she did stop once she noticed Nyxosa had. "Are you okay?" She asked, following her sister's gaze and looking up at the door. "Who does this room belong to?" The snake wizard would ask, looking towards the Kold demon- assuming that he too had noticed Nyosa stop and look towards Nakiya's chambers. "It could be our mother if she's reacting like that." She would then add on as she looked back at the door.
The Kold Demon smirked as he observed the younger sibling's reaction to the chamber's door and what lay beyond. "Very interesting." he said aloud as he returned to them and looked at the door that held such a rapt interest for the younger snake girl creature. "And you say that this holds your mother's scent and energy?" Abzerute inquired, wanting to confirm with the little girl what she was sensing before he spilled the beans for them.
Although there was one last inquiry he had to undertake. "Your mother you two speak of, is she related to you by blood, or from some form of energy trigger for your hatching process?" the Kold Demon sorcerer asked the two of them, awaiting an answer before he continued. "Well, that is most interesting, since this chamber is one that belongs to Nakiya, the Demon Queen herself." said Abzerute, gauging the response and actions of both the snake like siblings.
<<Mistress Nakiya, there's been a rather... amusing development here in Makai which I think you will personally find quite interesting upon your return to your kingdom. No rebellion or mutiny I assure you, although how long that will last for, particularly amongst the palace staff, I honestly cannot say.>> he telepathically communicated to the Demon Queen, wherever she was right now. He couldn't keep his own amusement at the situation and the inevitable fallout that would ensue from this little plot line he had discovered out of his mental voice as he projected it to the Demon Queen. He was very much looking forward to seeing how this twist in the thread of the universe would take hold.
