*Free Space, SSO Mothership, Plama's own room*
After a sweet and lucrative travel, the bio-android was resting in his own room on the Special Squadron Odrog's Mothership. The place was covered in a kind a bio-synthetic substance, that have the property to stick to almost every other substance and fast hardening, Plasma even used it hold the pirates he captured captive. The manner he spread his room with it was made it look like and evil insect nest made of tunnels, with all the walls covered by the bio-glue, save for some random parts and a specifically part: the window. The luminosity in the room was bad, as most of the lights also under the substance.
Inside his room, Plasma slept in one of the tunnels. The bio-android could be easily mistaken by an gigantic beetle duo to his exo-skeleton and similar appearance, but unlike any insect, he had only two pair of legs and two body segments. Still, his big yellow eyes, beak, body shape and posture were most likely based on the arthropods. Specially his hidden tail, that hold a stinger on the tip and were the most terrifying part of the creature's anatomy, for it was by his tail that the bio-android feed, draining the life force of living beings directly. Still, some say that Plasma had a cute aspect despite being a monstrous creation.
Waking up from his nap, he do a little stretching before go to the window, something he do every time he awakes, because he likes to see changes and as the universe is ever changing, the window of his room let him see the a different picture of space every time he looks - 'Someday I'm going to change too. To something more capable, something that allow me to be like everyone else' - he hoped for at least. In truth he had no means to predict is next aspect, would be another bug-like form like his present, or a humanoid like most of the galaxy intelligent races, or even maybe a dragon or a malleable kind of body like his colleague Marmite and his race, the weird beings know as majins. All he knew for sure was that he would change at some point, but the wait was turning from excited to incredibly annoying.
As he leaves his room, Plasma decide to go to the canteen, where most of the crew normally gather. The corridors were always lonely inside the mothership, as only the six members of the squadron inhabited it - 'We need to make a name for ourselves and fast, why Odrog keeps avoiding the small jobs? I know that one or two of them can't do much but fifty or a hundred jobs done can lead us to better pay offs. Oh well, not that I care that much to money, but more jobs means more possible nutritious meals, hehehe...huh, thinking about it...how do we manage to take care of such a large ship with only six people?' - he asked himself while entering the canteen. A quick look revealed the place to be empty. He tried to sense everyone's ki but felt none - 'Or they must be sleeping, or they left me behind and went to a job...those...rar...alright. Calm down, you have the ship for yourself at least. Could take it as am day off and go do something fun and productive' - leaving the canteen and walking towards the lower floors, near the hangar - 'Let's try to create something useful for the group'
On the hangar, Plasma discover that all but two of the spacepods are gone, reinforcing his hypothesis that they went on a mission, but if only two stayed, that would mean two of them were on the ship. He knows he is one, but who is the other left on the ship? - 'Maybe 22, since I can't feel her energy anyway. Well, doesn't matter, got things to do'. On the right side wall of the hangar, there is the entrance to the workshop, where the group deposit all the tools, scraps and junk they made or collect. After his returning from his mission, Plasma brought with him lots of it, specially from an small spacecraft that belonged to the pirates and the bio-android used to return to his mothership bringing his bounties, it's carcass is still on the hanger, but it's only function now is piece replacement. Plasma turn on the lights and begin to search through the scraps of metal, used computer chips, old batteries and other sort of junks, separating the pieces he want inside a mini tool-box.
Finally finishing his selection, and believing had found all the necessary items for his little project, the bio-android start to organize the work table, setting the tools he would need, a place for every type of piece and three clean spaces where he would put the three main parts he would create with the small materials he choose and would be the key to a bigger and very useful useful tool that would help him improve his own power. All set, he begins by cutting a piece of metal with his laser eyes and folding it with his bare hands and incredible precision for live being. He also made small holes, where he pretended to pass energy cables and some screws to join it with another piece, creating a small metal box. Next phase would require the help of a computer, and so being he went to his old spacepod, the same he used on his first space travel, and surgically removed the in-bound computer from it. Bringing the computer to the work desk, Plasma begins to connect the many computer chips, selecting the ones useful, the ones salvageable and the ones unusable. From the useful ones, he began to test their potency and resistance, selecting two of them and from this two he choose the less damaged and use his lasers again, in a weaker, soft and controlled potency, to dry out the dirt and remove it so he can use parts of other chips to fully restore it, and when done he reconnect it to the computer so he can re-program the chip for his new purpose.
With the another task done, Plasma start now to restore, modify and replenish one of the old batteries. The process is tiresome, as he would be forced to test each and every battery using a functional machine. Again, the spacepod would serve for it, and Plasma spent almost two hours testing the batteries for capacity, durability and potency, finally selecting one in good conditions, only a minor modification to reduce it's size and... - 'Done! Now join the three parts and connect them'. Half an hour stabilizing and programming the control system, he has finally finished his original project "Personal Gravity Stabilizer", an apparatus he is going to use in his training - 'Time for a field test'
Going to the training facility, the bio-android wear his invention and and turns it on, at first on minimum. He can begin to feel his body becoming a little heavier, and after some light exercises he turns up the gadget to the medium potency. Again he feels the increase in weight and his movements become more difficult to realize. Finally, the last test. By turning it to the maximum, Plasma immediately feel the loss of some mobility because of the great weight shift, but as time passes, he start to regain it at the cost of more effort put on it. 'Success! Now for the last test, a session of medium exercises' - unfortunately, middle session, the gadget begins to malfunction and some sparks jump out of it. Worried, the bio-android does a quick inspection and discover that the two first levels of intensity are fried, but the apparatus still has it's maximum level fully operational as well as the turn on and off control - 'Still a success, just need to do different versions for different intensities. Gonna talk to Odrog for license it and then sell to some market, maybe on Natto, the saiyans love to train and these are easier to use than true weights...this may turn into a gold mine...'
