With a loud rumble quickly following, Dynasty quickly slammed the bottom of his sheathe into the ground, embedding a bit into the earth where it seemed capable of standing on it's own. Soon enough, it dug down even deeper as Dynasty placed his palms on the bottom of the hilt and quickly leaned on his blade a bit, huffing loudly as quite a bit of sweat seemed to have gathered on his face and along his forearms. His hair, usually kept clean and carefully styled, was particularly wild today as it seemed to stick up a bit more than usual. Little bits of dirt smudged his cheeks a bit and his hands were absolutely filthy, covered in a mix of bruising and more dirt. Although he had come this morning in his clean attire, most of his outfit had absolutely pelted in dust and dirt from his training. He looked like a total mess right now.
But Dyn knew that and he blushed a bit as he rested his forehead against the butt of his sword. "Dammit. . . That woman said if I really wanted to take my training seriously, I'd have to get filthy. . . But this is ridiculous. Is this really all that necessary?" he grunted a bit as he looked himself over a bit, feeling embarrassed. As far as he knew, he was here alone though so there was a saving grace, but it didn't help much for his ego. He had trained hundreds of times before and he usually got a bit dusty sometimes, but it was enough to wipe off with a cloth. This was going to take at least an hour long shower to get all the grime off his body, not even mentioning how hard he'll have to work the dirt of out his clothes.
But as bad as he looked, he felt ten times worse. His whole body was sore from his whole day of training and as much as he hated to admit it, this had certainly been harder than any work out he had done before. The whole ground around him looked torn up, trees had been toppled over nearby, and where he stood, the ground was visibly dented downward from the energy he was exerting right now. Sparks of electricity danced along the metal sheathe of his blade, visibly pulsing along it's length as it seemed to get fed straight from his hands. He was trying a new training today that was taking a bit of a toll on his body. Since morning, he had not stopped channeling his ki in an attempt to gain a better mastery of the strange energy. This was what he'd been doing all day and this is why he had ended up wrecking a small bit of the jungle he was in right now. Along the area surrounding him, many scorch marks seemed to be visible on the ground all around him. Now it seemed the sun, while still fairly high in the sky, would be setting in a couple of hours.
With a loud huff, he quickly stood back up straight and pulled his sword from the ground before turning the hilt in his hand, extending the still sheathed blade out towards a tree. Taking a second there, he slowly moved the sheathe to slide back into it's holster before moving his other hand to grab the sheathe. Closing his eyes, he took in a very deep breath as he tried to focus the energy once more throughout his blade. Sparks seemed to appear more rapidly from the metal as electronic current coursed from his hand to the blade. Letting out a loud roar, he quickly brought the blade out of his sheathe and slashed the air in front of the tree, only taking a moment before a large scorched black slash mark seemed to appear on the trunk of the tree. Light sparks fizzled from the marks for a few seconds before quickly dissipating into the air. And Dynasty was brought down to a knee as he tried his best to support himself, still feeding energy into his weapon as he quickly sheathed it once more. He now panted loudly as he felt his body pushed much harder than he was used to.
Kai stretched his arms above his head with a gasping yawn as he continued down a winding forest route. The sound of birds chirping still set in the air as the sun peered through the tiny holes of the tree canopy overhead, lighting his path forward with a rather tranquil mood. It had been two days since Kai had had any interaction with a person. The last person he had spoken to was the Kasai warrior, Hwa-Jae but even after finally exiting the snowy mountain ranges of the Cold North he found very little signs of life and even rolled the idea around that perhaps existence on the planet had expired with a Nuke. A scary thought, but he knew he was just being dumb. Besides if existence had stopped the beauty of life all around him would be tainted by darkness, the only darkness he saw was the night skies he fell asleep beneath.
A sigh escaped him as he adjusted the strap of his large rucksack on his shoulder, kicking a small stone and sending it soaring in the process. "Traveling would be so much easier if I could just fly properly." He spoke aloud to himself with annoyance. In truth he had gotten a lot better since his first time trying it. The ki projection was something he constantly worked on as he hiked and whenever he had to stop, he made sure that he practiced flying, one drawback he still struggled with was the amount of stamina it required to keep his focus. He growled in annoyance and began to charge forward. Digging his right foot into the soil with a bent leg, he sprang into the air with a huff and shot through the green canopy.
His body came to a halt in the air and twitched intensely. Gritting his teeth he tried to calm himself {Focus...}. Taking a deep breath and shutting his eyes for a few seconds allowed his body to lose it's tension. A smile crept on to his lips as his eyes opened and he leaned forward. A mischievous chuckle echoed behind his lips before his figure thrust forward. Like a jet, he took off being sure to keep above the path. His attention however, began to drift towards a bright flashing light in the distance. His curiosity got the better of him and made sure he would investigate before going any further.
The flashes of light grew brighter as he neared it's source. {What...is it?} He questioned himself and raised his brow when he spotted a young man covered in dirt and sweat, idly standing in what looked to be a crater. Careful observation showed that the area had been visibly destroyed, one could almost say it looked like a war had taken place. "Whoa... Did he do all this?... huh?" The young snow haired boy set his eyes on the hilt which the man leaned on as a crutch. {A swordsman! Just like in the books!} He beamed a smile as he decided to introduce himself. Kai could honestly say he was already finding it difficult to stay in the air for much longer anyways.
He gently set his feet down on the earth (A much better landing considering his first time was a face plant in snow) a few feet away from the stranger and waited for the man to turn around. "Hi there" Kai spoke with a tone of determination, his Aqua eyes beaming willpower. His attention was taken away as he spotted the bolts of electricity dancing around the hilt which the Swordsman owned. {Another one?... Could he be an elemental too?} He decided to put the thought on hold and introduce himself."Sorry to intrude... I-I couldn't help but notice the light show you seemed to be putting on." He dropped his bag to the ground with a hefty thud and thought of his words carefully. "My names Kai-Qin, I'm from Yuki Temple up in the Cold North... I must apologize for my forwardness but areyouatrainedswordsman?" His words seemed to meld together as he asked the question. A gleam set in his eyes as he spoke almost as if he found the stranger to be some sort of legendary warrior. "I've only read of traveling swordsmen in books, I've never seen one up close." As he said this he moved closer to the swordsman, scratching his chin in deep thought as he eyed him up and down as if sizing him up "Hmmmm You're a bit more stockier than those in the books. Mmmhm... Not bad to look at, a tad dirty and you smell like a weak old rabbit. That aside... you lack something"
He stroked his chin and squinted as he slowly inced closer to the mans face "...A KASA!" He clicked snapped his finger at fingering out the problem. "Where's your samurai woven hat?!" His enthusiasm shone through with his child like grin.
Leaning on his sheathe still, heavily breathing in and out quite a bit as he seemed to struggle to get some air going to his lungs at first before he eventually managed to regain control of himself. He gripped the hilt of his sword a bit more tightly before he narrowed his eyes a bit. Somebody was approaching towards his location and it was difficult to ignore the presence he felt. He still didn't quite have the hang of being able to sense the strength of others, but it wasn't exactly like he couldn't feel the pressure beating down on his shoulders along with the carefully made weighted plated he hid under his coat right now. Would it end up being more assassins or someone even stronger? He couldn't really be sure himself right now. Would he be strong enough to fight them without having to rely on his full strength? He wasn't particularly sure of how far his own power would take him when he was already so worn down, but he didn't seem to think his foe was too overpoweringly strong right now. Leaning on the sword a bit more, he seemed to try gathering as much energy as he could before the possible foe would arrive, staring forward idly for now. If he had any regrets on the situation, it was that he was such a poor state of appearance right now, something he wish he could remedy. It wasn't in his nature to give himself a bad name.
Soon enough though, Dynasty knew the presence was upon him. Gritting his teeth a bit as he went to slowly pull his gaze towards the mysterious man, who didn't seem much older than himself, Dynasty seemed to be waiting. That was his style after all. He found it much easier to capitalize on people's mistakes rather than try to be on the offensive, not to say he couldn't do that as well. If he was lucky, no blood would need to be spilled here and he could get away with just beating the kid with his sheathe. Maybe he could let the kid off with just a few cracked ribs and a painful lesson being taught. If it got way more serious, maybe he'd resort to giving the kid a harsh shock to hopefully put some sense in his skull. Slowly, he began to turn after he heard a pair of feet land behind him, pulling his sword from the ground with it's sheathe and aiming both of them straight for Kai's chest, a warning not to try starting anything that he wouldn't be able to finish. He could fly which meant he may had ended up having a better mastery over Ki than himself, but Dynasty had spent a good part of his life training his skill with his blade and he wouldn't let simple power defeat his skill. Even now, it seemed clear that sparks and lightning was continuing to be fed through his sword as he focused his Ki into the blade even still, keeping it strengthened with his energy.
It was then Kai finally began to speak and Dynasty narrowed his eyes, expecting some kind of declaration about how the hero had forsaken his duty or how the kid was here to try taking his head. Instead, he was just given a greeting and an apology which threw him off completely. He felt a bit stunned by the man, but if he seemed like he was there to start trouble, it wasn't quite as obvious as the other assassins. Slowly, Dynasty lowered his arm and leveled the sheathe of his sword with the rest of himself as he raised a curious brow, somewhat surprised by the question as well as the bluntness of his comments. Already, he was beginning to give him some deja vu of a rather hot headed lady he had met some time ago. Bringing the sword up slowly, he went to skillfully twirl it around between his fingers before sliding it rather quickly back into the holster for it's sheathe which seemed to allow for the sheathe to come out if he needed it to. "I have not heard of your temple, though I am ignorant of most of the world. As for my training. . ." he became quiet for a moment, unsure of how much he could really afford to share with some complete stranger. Letting out a huff, he figured it wouldn't hurt to share a bit of details that could be inferred anyways. "I am an adequate swordsman. I do not know how I perform compared to others, but between a novice and a master, I would likely be determined as an expert. I have been doing this since I was young." he explained carefully, being sure of each word he spoke. He eyes seemed to narrow on the kid as he stated there was something missing from him. Could the man sense something within Dyn that the swordsman himself couldn't see?! Waiting for his answer, he seemed visually disturbed now.
Though as soon as he heard the answer, it felt like a shot had gone through his chest, making him stumble back a bit in a mix of surprise and disbelief. "M-My what? I'm not a samurai! I'm a-" he cut himself off for a moment before he took a deep breath and calmed himself. Yep, the kid definitely was the same kind of person it seemed. Were all outsiders this weird when they weren't in cities? "I'm just a vagabond. Nothing else." he answered simply, standing back up straight.
Kai watched the man intently as he circled him like a vulture, waiting for an answer. One thing that was easily noticeable was the mans body language. He seemed on edge, almost as if he thought the snow haired young man would pounce at him with an attack or try to cause him harm without warning. While Kai liked the idea of challenging a swordsman and putting his new found powers to good use, he decided it was best to at least put the Swordsman at ease.
Acting like his normal, cheerful self, Kai introduced himself with a toothy grin and tried to make conversation. The swordsman's response to being called a samurai was one of shock and discomfort which only lead Kai to letting out a snicker. He was unsure of the strangers name and addressed him with what the man had called himself on the premise of his being "Okay, Mister Vagabond. I get you, so you're not a noble and honest Samurai who's a heart breaker to lovely woman from all corners of the planet?" Kai questioned as he scratched the back of his head and twisted the corner of his mouth in disapproval. "That's a shame, I thought you might just be the real thing." His voice was tinted with disappointment. "And here I thought I could get some pointers from one, You seem to-" The young man's attention was pulled away from the Vagabond and set on the scorch marks of the tree.
Without a word Kai moved towards it and tilted head as he neared the tree. "These marks..." Noticing the curve and fineness of the the prints caused him to turn back and look at the man's sheath which still glowed from the small sparks which danced around it. "YOU!" Kai's outburst caused birds in nearby trees to lift into the air with fright. "You're an elemental too! I start my journey and the only people I've met so far are people of my kind... I'm starting to get the idea that our race has just taken over this world... rated I've only met two people on my travels so far, that being you included. Hmmm." Without warning Kai charged at Dyn with a smile. He leaped into the air and within milliseconds a slide of ice formed beneath his feet like a surf board.
With a snicker of happiness, Kai surfed around the Vagabound, doing various twirls and spins before creating a long slide which set him down right in front of the swordsman. "You can control an element like me, can't you?" He spoke with a mischievous smile as he cracked the case. "By the looks of those sparks" he pointed at Dyn's sword sheath. "You can use lightning! That is like the coolest combo ever!" he paused "No pun intended... A lightning based swordsman, you must be from a story book... However there is still something which I can't seem to figure out... Why are you so on edge? It's so peaceful out here yet you seem to think I'm a threat. You seem very reserved... Loosen up or your flowing swords movement will look stiff and robotic!" He chuckled.
"I have an idea that could make you more comfortable. How about a bit of a spar? Maybe we can learn something from one another. You can use your sword and I'll try my beast to keep out of harms way to get a hit off." Despite the danger it posed, Kai showed a calm expression much like the one he had seen Jae show when she faced the massive beast of a Dinosaur. From then on though, Kai had learned to keep a level head and be optimistic when it comes to challenges. Even if things looked to be extremely difficult, push your limits and face it with a clear and calm mind. Sure it wouldn't work for every occasion but the man before him seemed to be stable... I guess.
Staring at the kid as he seemed to have some weird interest in the swordsman, Dynasty couldn't help but feel somewhat uncomfortable as he watched the ice man's interest in himself seem to grow with each passing second. Was this what it felt like to have someone stalk you instead of admiring you? Dynasty was clearly on edge, but he didn't really have much of a choice with how his life was constantly in danger due to the assassins coming after him so often. He couldn't really help if the overwhelming threat of death to himself and his friends was something to be wary of. But with that in mind, maybe he should calm down a bit. Taking in a deep breath, he tried to relax a little before he opened his eyes and spotted Kai now seeming to enjoy himself over how Dyn got flustered over the samurai comment. In his defense, being a samurai tended to imply that he was in service to someone else, which wasn't too far off since Dynasty had formerly been in service to his people. Formerly. Which would mean that if he were to have a more fitting title. . . It'd be ronin.
His eye visibly twitching at apparently being called not a noble, despite the blood that ran through Dyn's veins, and the rest of the sentence didn't really seem to make him feel better either. "Why would I want to break women's hearts? They already have more than enough to worry about in life. . ." he muttered quietly, oblivious to the famous retellings of the samurai warriors that others seemed to find so interesting in the world. But at least he had convinced the kid to not think he was a noble, despite how it slightly insulted his pride, since that would mean it would further hide who he truly was. There was only one person in the strange world outside of his country that he had told, a blabbering drunk that nobody would had believed anyways. Dynasty planned to keep it that way for as long as he had to. But. . . He at least tried to still look like one if he could, since some habits died hard. Looking over his filthy clothes, he narrowed his eyes and internally groaned.
It was only then that Kai suddenly screamed out and took Dynasty by surprise, startling him for a moment as he watched the kid seem to be interested in a tree before watching as the kid turned back to him and started spouting strange talk about being an elemental. "I'm just a human. . ." he tried to explain, though he had a feeling it was buried in the sea of words that seemed to pour from the kid's mouth, making Dyn a bit confused as he continued. But then there was something Dynasty had stuck on with a peaked interest. Staring at him, he thought hard on the words two of his kind. And watching as he began sliding around, the words only made themselves ever more present in his mind. If the swordsman had been one of them, could it be possible that he meant. . . It wasn't certain, but it troubled Dyn. Maybe he would be coming home a lot sooner than he thought if they both were referring to the same being.
But as Dynasty tried to think the matter over in his mind, he soon found that it'd be hard to focus with the kid only a bit away from himself from in front, continuing to speak. His words still confused him and Dynasty lifted a hand to his head, trying to take all this in as best he could. He knew that others had ways of using their energy to create attacks and such, but he hadn't seen anyone else that had control over a specific element the same way he did. "I can. . . Somewhat control my power. . . But I don't know what all this elemental business is about. I'm a human like any other." Most of the time, he used more of his lightning power than actual Ki blasts themselves. It was then that he was taken aback by the rather bluntness of the question that followed after. He knew why he was so on edge all the time, but he couldn't exactly just tell some random guy he just met. Thinking over his words carefully, he took in a deep breath before exhaling slowly once more. "I did something very bad before and a lot of people are after me. I just need to. . . Not die I guess. . . Before I can make up for it." he spoke a bit cautiously, trying not to give more than he would have to. "And my sword strikes are fine!" he added after, a bit embarrassed as the man seemed to lecture him on like his old teacher.
Hearing the proposal that the man made, he seemed ready to decline it at first before figuring this may be the extra bit of training he needed. He still felt sore and like he was beaten down a bit already, but he knew he was ready to meet the challenge still. Though maybe not in the way that the kid would imagine. Moving his left hand, Dynasty unfastened his sheathe from it's holster before pulling both the sword and it's cover out, standing back a bit before extending it towards the man. Moving the other hand to his chest, he flattened the palm out and bowed a bit as a sign of respect before raising back up, seeming to be waiting for the first attack. "Come at me then."
(Reducing power level further to make fight more fair. IC reason is Dynasty's body is already ragged.)
Kai found Dyn's response humors for he too thought he was just a normal human but with the letter from his parents things seemed to be more clear. "Mr. Vagabond, As strange as this is going to sound. You and I both aren't human or at least I'm seventy five percent sure that you aren't. The elemental power that you have inherited is supposedly due to the blood of the Elemi flowing through you." Kai could tell that this was quite a bit to take in. That on top of the fact that the swordsman's story of his past seemed to be more difficult to put into words. Dyn was definitely trying to hide something, which is something any normal person would do when questioned by a complete stranger. "I do not know what bad thing you did in your past but I believe ever one deserves a second chance." He smiled warmly "You just have to try to make things right and stay positive.... Also, try not to isolate yourself from everyone. Friends can help, you just gotta trust them" He added with a signature grin. "Point in case. As far fetched as my words sound, I believe the letter I was left by my parents. There are more like us out there that have a strong connection to the elements... Weather you believe me or not is up to you, swordsman... whose name I still do not know." he snickered as he offered a chance at a spar but showed a sign of mental focuses.
Just like before the swordsman showed hesitation in accepting the offer of someone he didn't quite now. Sometimes it was worth taking a shot in the dark and just excepting a person as they are with trust. Kai smiled though when Dyn urged him on. The ice user returned the formal bow as a show of respect to his opponent and wore a smile on his face as he slowly dropped down into a typical balanced Jeet kune Do stance. Heels slightly raised and feet apart provided him with the balance he wanted. His hands remained as open palms and his arms remained in vicinity of his chin and torso, protecting him from a potential hit to either sections of his body. His defense was air tight but could be broken by a skilled warrior especially one of Dyn's caliber.
Taking in a deep breath, Kai focused his energy and his mind before performing a speedy lunge forward, dirt was kicked into the air behind him as he closed the gap between him and the swordsman. His aqua tinted aura engulfed his sandals as he tore through the air showing potential in the use of speed. Dropping his right shoulder back, his left hand balled into a fist and rocked toward Dyn's chin in the form of a jab.

Dynasty seemed to be rather shocked by the words he had been hearing, unsure of how it could even be possible that he was some strange elemental creature or even part of one with how he'd grown up. His parents seemed to be human to him but he couldn't deny that he did admittedly have strange abilities that were similar to Kai's in terms of how they functioned. Not to say that Dynasty could slide around on his lightning all carefree in the same way that Kai managed to, but they were both forces of nature and it would somewhat make sense. But Dynasty was human! He had to be human. . . It was the only thing that would make sense anymore in this crazy world that Dynasty found himself struggling through and the thought of having the one thing he thought was right taken from him was beginning to take a toll on Dynasty even further. Was he really some kind of other being?
It was then the man's other words began to take a toll on Dyn as well mind as well. His pain and grief seemed to be what pushed Dyn to even move onto the next day so often in the world, but it wasn't much of a way to live by themselves. He'd made a few friends and grew attached to something else, but in his mind he had one clear goal and nothing would distract him from it no matter how hard they might try. Whatever the cost may turn out being, he had to make things right by any means necessary! And that meant he would always have to keep moving forward until the day he could no longer lift his feet. "I appreciate the words. . . But you don't know what you're talking about." he spoke a bit distantly now. If he made a bunch of people care about him and then vanished in a flash for his goal, it wouldn't exactly be very fitting. It'd be better he leave as little people caring about him as he could.
His eyes focused on Kai as he took his stance, examining it very closely for any weak points that he could make use of while the foe was stationary. It was always important to try picking good points of attack during an opponents multiple states. Defending, idle, and attacking. If he could keep his opponent in a constant state of caution, it'd just mean that Dynasty would gain another edge to use against his foe. As if his blade's own wasn't enough already. In return to the stance, Dynasty slowly moved his other hand to grip the sheathe of the sword and lowered it down to the side of his hip, seeming ready to draw his sword while the other still held tightly to the handle of his blade, waiting for the first strike.
As soon as the foe rushed, Dynasty seemed ready as he tightened his grip a bit. This was the kind of combat Dynasty was used to. The kind he seemed to thrive in. Still, the strength of the man was obviously above a typical's human at the very least if not evident by the slight aura he gave off. Waiting until the last moment, Dynasty went to tilt his head to the left as he watched the fist come straight for his chin, now sailing just shy of touching his skin, before reflexively going to take advantage of the man's extended form. "The name's Dyn." he spoke while holding his strength back a bit before Dynasty quickly moved to lightly swing his sheathe towards the man's chest instead, not really intending to hurt him as much as just mark him, telling him that he would've been injured if it was real.

Dyn's responses remained distant. He was a strange man, whatever happened in the swordsman's past must have really effected his sight on the world and on the prospect of allowing people into his life. Strangely enough Kai respected Dyn for it and also seemed to connect the facts that Like most honorable samurai he had read about, they often had a tragic past. Kai opted to say something about the correlation but even he knew that their was a line. He was not gonna overstep it.
Without wasting anymore time, Kai went in for the first strike, as given by the swordsman. Realizing the difficulty he was facing, Kai knew he would have to be wary for attacks made with the sword however, something about the ronins stance told him that using his blade would be minimal. Even so, caution could not be thrown to the wind. The ice user had to think quickly, act accordingly and as his teachers before had taut him, do not hesitate.
Kai rushed forward with the jab which sailed past Dynasty's chin, for a second, Kai could have sworn that he saw a flashback of the fiery Kasai novice that had managed to perform the very same show speed. It was from that moment that Kai knew he was facing someone of much stronger grade and just like he did in his last spar, he would have to push past his limits and remove all thoughts of doubt from his mind. "You're fast" Kai muttered in response to the swordsman finally revealing his name. His Aqua tinted eyes desperately tried to keep track of Dyn's movements but even he could not keep up with the extended limb that he sheath had become. With a grunt of pain, Kai stumbled back after receiving a hard smack to his chest. The pain caused a tingling sensation to ripple through his body but caused a spike in his adrenaline.
The force behind the strike was not the full force that could have been used and Kai could tell he was holding back, this caused a smile to pick up on the corners of his lips. "I can tell you are powerful" he spoke as he tried to sooth the point of impact on his chest, but wasted no time in getting back into it. Kai placed protected with his left forearm as he moved forward, hoping to swiped the sheath aside and follow up with a ice infused palm to Dyn's chest. The ice was visibly forming over his hand as he moved forward.

Watching as he seemed to have to make Kai go a bit cautiously at taking his sword in hand, Dyn couldn't help but feel a bit cautious of his own strength. While he planned to use the sheathe and by technicality the sword to control said sheathe, he had no intentions of actually drawing his blade on the kid. He already had to be careful with how hard he swung his dull sheathe, he didn't want to exactly risk severing one of the kid's arms because he got too careless with the edge of his sword. Dynasty was already covered in sweat and grime, he didn't need to add blood into the mix as well. Though he didn't believe he'd seen the full extent of his opponent's power quite yet.
Watching the way Kai came at him, it was clear that the kid might've been surprised by the way Dynasty has stepped past the strike and countered with relative ease. Unfortunately though, it probably wouldn't work quite that well a second time if he tried it. Still though, it was a good reminded not to lower his guard, from Dyn's perspective at least. He hoped he hadn't ended up putting in too much force in the strike, but the kid's ribs didn't seem shattered so that probably meant he was still good to go. "You can be just as fast if you push yourself." Dyn replied in return to the compliment, figuring a bit of motivation might
Although maybe Dynasty should've paid more attention to the actual fight instead. Listening to the compliment once more, he seemed a bit surprised before blushing slightly, unsure of whether he should allow himself to accept the compliment or not. He didn't seem to think he was strong enough personally, but maybe he would be soon enough. Though as soon as his mind wandered, he couldn't react as he watched his sheathe swept aside, trying to reel it back in defense but not capable of bringing it fast enough as he felt a cold palm slam into his chest. Sliding back a bit as he lifted up the back of his feet, he began to dig his boots a bit more into the dirt to stop himself a bit. "T-That was. . . A pretty good one. But get ready. . ." he spoke slowly, gasping a bit as he tightened his grip on his sword.
Feeding more of his energy into his sword, Dynasty didn't seem to sure how much longer he could actually keep this up though. Kai certainly wasn't a push over in terms of strength it seemed and Dynasty was already worn out as is. Taking in a deep breath, he stared forward at Kai, but he seemed to be looking through the kid. In truth, he was analyzing the situation as best he could in order to try getting the best results. But his opponent wouldn't wait and he couldn't fairly ask him to. With quite a bit of his power coming off the sheathe of the blade, Dynasty rushed in Kai's general direction, though he seemed to divert off course a bit. Instead of striking his foe as he passed, Dynasty ran straight past his enemy before jumping up, pressing his feet against the trunk of a tree before spinning in the air to try slamming his sheathe down on Kai's head, likely landing on his feet afterwards regardless of the outcome.

Kai smirked as his palm made contact, thrusting Dyn back with a push. The snow haired boy couldn't help but chuckle at the praise he received from his sparring partner. "Still getting a hang of the whole using ki technique things, but I'm getting there." His spoke with sincerity as he stepped back into his idle, balanced stance, eyeing Dyn's hands closely. Watching his one hand tighten around the grip of his sword gave Kai indication that Dyn would be making his next attack.
The Ice users eyes began to glow a brighter neon blue as he focused his ki senses. Watched ever so intently as Dyn funneled his own energy into the sheathed blade. What seemed like split seconds, Dyn closed the gap between himself and Kai, ki literally lifting off the sheath like flames of a fire almost as if the blade was used as an extension of himself. Seeing something like it made Kai wonder the possibilities to the number of abilities if ki could be channeled into literally anything. The body was not the limit, it all rested on the knowledge, strength and spiritual strength of the fighter to teach himself in the ways of further strengthening their ki projection.
Now was not the time to let thoughts wonder though. Kai kept up his guard as the swordsman grew near but raised a brow when Dyn ran straight past him. Was he trying to throw him off with misconception? Kai was quick to find out that it was precisely the case. Realizing that past cues meant that the swordsman was going in for a powerful attack, Kai quickly leaped back as Dyn rebounded off a tree and aimed a strike at the snow haired boy's cranium. Gritting his teeth, the sheath came down missing it's mark by millimeters and gliding down besides Kai's face. While it seemed like he had managed to dodge the initial blow, sparks erupted from the sword in an explosive fashion causing Kai's body to be sent skipping along the ground like a flat stone over a quiet lake. With a heavy thud Kai's body smashed into a tree causing chips of bark to fly. A groan of pain escaped him as he slowly pushed himself up off the floor.
"Now that!, That was an attack!" He chuckled still showing enthusiasm while trying to stand with rather weak knees. A few small burn marks and bruises scattered his his face and hands. His clothes where dirty, tattered and torn. "You're really strong, almost the same as Hwa-Jae." He snickered as he took a step towards the swordsman, almost falling to one knee in the process. "I might not look good but... Heck, one more for the road." He smiled as he slowly raised his arm and extended his palm out at Dyn. Ki poured into the center of his hand in the shape of a blue tinted ki orb took shape. "HA!" The sphere tore through the air with a icy tail as it began to freeze over with infused ice, if it made contact with it's target, the orb would explode with ice shards and snow.

Listening to his foe speak of also trying to master the mysterious Ki energy that Dyn had only somewhat been introduced to out of desperation, he could feel a bit of empathy towards the kid since he didn't quite have the best grasp on his own Ki either. "That last strike you did was pretty good. . . You should get stronger as you practice more. Or at least I did." he explained carefully as he moved a hand down to wipe off some remaining frost from his coat, not really enjoying the cold as much as Kai probably would. Who knows. Maybe the next time the pair met, Kai would be capable of beating Dynasty down with ease. It was something that maybe Dynasty would have to look forward to.
Satisfied in his own strength as he still sent the kid back on the ground even without fully landing the blow, Dynasty could take some solace in the fact that all the training he had done up until now was certainly still making him stronger. In time, maybe he would be one of the strongest heroes in history, or at least he could dream that if he didn't die along the way. But he couldn't just drop his guard now even if he had gotten one up on the kid. Landing down on his feet with a light thud, Dynasty quickly assumed his formal stance once more and looked up to see the result of his attack. The man was thrown back into a tree and Dynasty could somehow feel Hwa scolding him from a different part of the earth for almost making the same mistake again. But as he watched the kid rise up, he knew that the fight wasn't quite over yet.
Admittedly, the kid's enthusiasm over having been stricken caught Dynasty a bit off guard. It was a little unnerving even for the swordsman to take in as he didn't expect for the kid to act so positively towards it. Though what unnerved him even further was the name that he produced, making him widen his eyes a bit in surprise as he mentioned the very same crazy girl that he had ran in to not so long ago. She must have had a habit of finding people it seemed, though he couldn't be sure with how. . . Energetic she could be. "So, you've met the wild one as well?" Dyn pondered out loud for a few moments before he saw that Kai was still going to try another strike. He had to admit that the kid certainly had heart. Even now he looked like he couldn't handle anymore, but still he stood tall in the face of uncertainty. It was something Dyn could admire a bit.
And it would come to cause a bit of pain to him. Rushing forward as he saw his foe use the strange energy blast, it seemed like Dyn could dodge the strike. But if he did, he might not have enough time to follow up with an appropriate counter attack. It looked like he would have to do something a bit drastic in order to get results. Taking in a deep breath, he seemed to brace himself as he raced straight towards the blast instead of around it. He had no idea how strong it was exactly, but he wouldn't just stand down right now. Instead, he casted his right arm forward in front of him, attempting to catch the energy blast. As soon as it came into contact with his hand, Dynasty could feel a harsh stinging in his palm. Still, he moved forward even as he squeezed the blast, shards of ice exploding into his hand. With a glint in his eye, he brought himself before his foe before spinning a bit to turn on his heel as he now put his back to his opponent, putting Ki into his sheathe before going to send it backwards towards Kai's gut. Though just as quickly, he would turn back ready to catch the kid with the injured arm as he noticed the way the kid could barely stand beforehand. WC - 688 TWC - 4,465
Potential Damage to Receive = 600 Regular Block [Damage Blocked = 71.25, Damage Received = 528.7 (give or take on my math)] [1/3 Stamina] [3000 PL for Offensive damage from Hybrid Powerhouse] [OT-1] Reluctant Intensity Grabbing the sword with its sheathe, Dynasty reels back before slamming the sheathe against a foe's weak point, infusing the sheathe and blade with his Ki. [25% PL in damage] [Potential Damage = 750] [0/3 Stamina]
Kai was intrigued when Dyn showed some sort of connection to Jae. Had they both been fated to meet the fiery red head or was it just a fluke? Either way it was quite something. "Haha, yeah she is quite the wild one... Still feel sorry for that paozusaurus..." With the words said and done, Kai pushed himself to perform one final attack. Even if he was literally holding on by a thread and finding difficult in standing on his own two feet, Kai wanted to prove that he was willing to give a hundred and ten percent no matter what the odds where. With a smile on his face and pride in his heart he stood tall... or he tried to at least since his legs kept twitching. To be honest it was willpower alone which was keeping him up.
The last bit of ki that the ice user had was channeled into the ice blast. When it fired from the palm of his hand, it was a miracle that he managed to keep himself standing despite the recoil it had on him. Kai watched with heavy eyes as the blast hurdled towards the swordsman. An Icy tail that ran off the rear of the blast, made it look like a comet entering the atmosphere. What really caught Kai's attention though was the fact that Dyn was making no effort to evade the blast but instead charged towards it with his hand extended. In a show of great strength, Dyn pushed through the blast and lost no momentum as the ki blast burst into ice shards and snow in the palm of his hand.
The beautiful sight of little snowflakes looking like glitter in the sky was blocked out as Dyn's body neared. Kai lifted both his forearms up to protect his face but he gagged and coughed as the sheath impacted his gut. The blow took the air from his lungs and caused the last bit of energy which went to his limbs to disappear. His numb body fell forward but luckily before he could hit the floor, Dyn kindly caught him.
Despite the complete exhaustion and pain Kai felt, he still managed to let out a chuckle. "That was really fun... We should do it again sometime... friend" his voice slightly muffled as he spoke. After those last few words where spoken, his eyes shut and a smile pulled on to his lips. He chose the last word as a way of showing that Dyn could trust him. They barely knew one another but Kai was willing to get to know Dyn not only as a fighter but a person too. Just like Jae, the swordsman had a certain something about him that showed a much deeper side and while the swordsman was not entirely up to having friends, He had already inherited one.
Staring at his foe as he figured the Ki blast alone would end up knocking him over, Dynasty seemed fairly certain that the next strike he produced would probably be the end of the fight if he could manage to land it on his foe. Kai didn't exactly have much keeping him standing while Dyn had managed to avoid to avoid any critical damage so far. The fight wasn't determined yet but it did certainly seem in the swordsman's favor. Even still, he didn't seem too keen on letting his guard lower a bit. He knew how damaging pride could be and he would not allow any ego he had to rise and make him defeated.
Even as Dynasty captured the explosive blast of Ki, he felt it stinging at his skin and the explosion that ensued didn't help much either. With light shards of ice burying themselves in his hand, a visible trickle of blood could be seen coming down as he had numerous scrapes and cuts around his palm and fingers especially. If that wasn't bad enough, the frost that rested along his arm didn't help much either, though he wouldn't be deterred so easily. His hand was hurting a bit, but he would not stop his advance. He would fight through the pain regardless of how hard it would be. He would not let his strike miss now.
And as soon as the blow had landed, the battle had seemed to be decided. Watching as the kid lost his air and fell forward, Dynasty quickly swept an arm forward around the kid's chest to catch him, staring forward for a moment before letting out a slow breath, seeming about ready to collapse as well from the combination of that fight and the training he'd been doing beforehand. Still, he held himself up tall for now. Spinning his sheathed blade in his other hand, he lifted it up a bit before going to slide it down back into it's holster, clipping the sheathe to the holster once more a bit carefully before looking to Kai with a light smile and setting him down slowly onto his back. "You did really well. Enjoy your rest." he said slowly as he went to slowly stumble back a bit before falling onto his rear, setting his arms onto his knees as he huffed a bit. Strangely enough, he couldn't help but feel a bit happy about the whole situation as it reminded him of a different time when he could do this a lot more often.
