Melonia could only sit calmly in the silence and drink from her mug. It was a bitter foul, awful, terribly strong drink. Almost as bitter as the conversation they were having now, but at least the alcohol was helping take off the edge. The Saiyaness wasn't a drunkard, she could hold her liquor with the best of them although that hardly made swallowing the hellish concoction any easier. Especially given the circumstances at hand. Another mouthful of swill and a hard shiver went down the Saiyan beauty's svelte spine. She grimaced hard at the drink, snorting air out her nose. "That's strong." At that Melonia lifted the tankard and set it down at Bora's side of the table. "Try some, it'll calm your edge."
She had seen anger before, every Saiyan got angry at times. Some more so than others, her drill sergeant in boot camp had been an especially angry man. Rattling off orders and barking out commands, he was such a short tempered man. His face would get bright red and a vein would pulse from his forehead while he ground his teeth and clenched his fists. Melonia had suffered many harsh nights of endless exercise for her often cheerful energetic ways. It was like the man had a conscious that just despised happiness. Rage, another feeling every Saiyan knew all too well. That feeling, that blessed horrible feeling, like in the heat of battle of staring at a full moon. Their heart bumping in their chests, blood flowing faster and faster as their muscles strained in tension and the desire to kill only rose like the magma of an active volcano. But rage was manageable, it could be honed like a weapon into a force of destruction. It was said to become a true Super Saiyan one had to experience a moment of intense and unbridled rage. A catalyst of fury that would set a transformation within the Saiyan into that ascended state.
When Bora opened his mouth again to speak, Melonia was finally ready to listen. Not because she wanted to, but because she needed to. It was clear how much he had been hurt, both by his own actions and her reaction to them. If she wasn't there for him now, she didn't know if he'd let her be there for him later. And so with heavy heart Melonia listened to every word the larger Saiyan had to say. What he described was a rage beyond anger, beyond fury, neyond wrath. Something mind warping and all consuming in its intensity, something likely brought about by the trauma of his youth and the loss of his parents in such a horrible fashion. "No." Melonia said finally. "You shouldn't be apologizing, I refuse to accept it. What you did was wrong, but, if what you say is true. Then it was not truly your fault." The Saiyaness leaned back in her chair, rubbing her temples deciding on what on earth she would do. Here she had this massive warrior, prone to doubts of maddening rage. All while proclaiming she was the first person to calm him since his own brother.
Melonia leaned forward, hands on the table as she began to speak. "Bora I will almost certainly regret this, because you have proven yourself to be a collosal idiot, both literally and figuratively, as well as being a gigantic pain in my ass. I should have stripped you of rank and discharged you on Natto after that incident. I should have beaten you within an inch of your life fifteen minutes ago. And I should be committing you to a psychiatric facility right now for psychosomatic evaluation. But I'm not doing any of that, because I don't think any of it will help." The Saiyeness grabbed for her drink, downing what was left. "Aaaahhh... horrible stuff." She said, smiling through the painful after taste. "Here's what's going to happen. Your punishment, voided. Effective immediately. Your rank, invalid. You are no longer Private Bora, I am granting you the title of Personal Security Liaison. Officially I have requested you to serve as my sworn bodyguard, due to your obvious physical capabilities and imposing size. But privately, because I fear I can't let you ten feet out of my sight without risking another violent episode out of you." Melonia looked to Bora with a devilish grin of pure ambition. "Training will begin immediately, I'm going to help you overcome that fury inside you. Mold it, control it, reshape it in to the greatest weapon you'll ever wield. Or you'll die trying, when I kill you for being too dangerous to allow to live." The Saiyaness folded her arms across her generous chest. "Those are my terms, accept them immediately or consider yourself in exile forever upon our arrival to earth."
It was a massively stupid idea, but Melonia didn't know of a better one. On one hand Bora was dangerous to a fault, he could snap again at any provocation, or worse, his condition could continue to deteriorate. However, he was also incredibly diligent, brutally loyal, and had an unyielding sense of mirth that seemed unphased by the truth within. He had down push ups for three days solid simply because Melonia had ordered him so. What could he set his mind too if he was truly applied to a task? Melonia sought to find out, because her only options seemed to be abandon the Saiyan to the horrors of his own mind. Pushing him out into exile or retracting her offer and dumping him on some other commander's doorstep to explode with rage again. It would end with his execution, and the trail of paper would lead directly back to Melonia. So that option was off the table. That meant she had to handle this herself, to train Bora to harness his power properly, to calm his rage and shape it into a productive engine of destruction. And so she would, no matter how grueling. The Cathedral of Arrogance had the facilities, it had the crew, and Earth would allow them plenty of options in places to travel. Melonia vowed silently she would cure Bora of his affliction, or see him laid to rest finally at peace. A grim vow, but one that she felt needed to be said, if only to herself. Bora took a quick swig from the mug. As the thick syrupy texture of the alcohol burned the back of his throat, he pulled a face of disgust, shaking his head violently as if tying to get foul the taste from his mouth and the horrid smell out of his nostrils. Unlike the drunkard which had caused the entire problem beforehand, Bora was able to handle his liquor a lot better than most which was more than likely thanks to his size, if anything. His high tolerance didn't change the fact that it tasted terrible. One thing he could say with complete certainty was that it was probably the strongest alcohol he'd ever had. It was clear that it was not something he would ask for as a gift in the future, not that he ever did ask. After throwing back one final disgusting swig of the foul concoction, Bora placed the mug back on Mel's side of the table. it hadn't really calmed his edge but it definitely caused a ringing sensation behind his eyeballs before he went on to explain the entire ordeal which had gone on in his mind.
When Mel responded, the towering saiyan's ears peaked up at her answer. The sadness which hung over him seemed to drain away when the captain showed an understanding unlike any other saiyan he had met aside from Tarnov. Even though what he did was way out of line, Mel still said that he should not need to apologize and that she would not accept it. The towering saiyan was stunned by the saiyaness words and looked at her with wide eyes. To be accepted even after such a display was something Bora had never thought would happen and to see that it was happening, warmed his heart. Things usually went one way when scenes like that played out in the past and it usually ended up with him being left without so much as a chance to fix things or a chance to explain. Most times he would be cast out on the spot. The fact that Melonia was still sticking with him made Bora realize that she someone he could put his full trust in as she was probably the only other person that believed him. He couldn't help but feel a slight tinge of happiness.
The guilt in his belly was still there but hearing Mel turn the situation around from the gloom to exciting and joyous, slowly managed to take the guilt away. With just her word, his punishment was ripped away and he was promoted to that of her Personal Security Liaison. In truth there was no other position he would rather be in. He stared at her with his mouth slightly agape utterly stupefied. For a few seconds he unsure if his ears where working correctly. "A-are you serious?" He questioned softly, still skeptic of his ears possibly receiving the wrong translation of her words. It all became clear though when Mel went even further as to say that his training would begin immediately. The walking wall bit his lower lip and leaned back with a sigh of contentedness and happiness. This had to possibly the most joyous moment in his life. "Of course I accept, Why wouldn't I?" He looked back to her with a gentle smile as he tried to find some sort of hidden motives behind her choice, but he really couldn't find any. He had been a pain in her ass since day one, there was no apparent motivation to keep him around yet she still went and did all of this for him.
Bora contemplated on hugging the captain but something told him that even then he should know his place. He looked into her eyes once more with joy filled expression. "You have no idea what this means to me captain... I half expected you to leave like all the rest but instead you go out of your way to do this for me. I feel like a thank you isn't enough..." He paused for a few seconds and contemplated everything before coming to the best conclusion he could. The towering saiyan stood up and bowed his head low with his hand over his heart. "I can't give you much else, but I can promise that so long as my heart beats I will protect you to the best of my being... Even if it means I end up as nothing but a meat shield." His voice held a righteous sincerity to it. It showed the the pure honesty he offered in his promise. Bora's one defining factor was and always had been that he was loyal to the death to when it came to people he cared for. When the walking wall of a saiyan made promises, he kept them and even now he proved that he was willing to push that far in order to make it up to the saiyan beauty.
Something else that Bora felt he should say, came up when he rose to his full height. For the first time he addressed the captain with her full name instead of just her title. "Melonia, in case I am to ever slip to far into that rage again and you can see that it will be impossible to bring me back from it. Please don't hesitate to kill me. The last thing I want is to lose myself entirely to the point that I go about trying to harm you in some way. I told my brother the very same thing. If I do manage to hurt you because I lose to that rage. I wouldn't want be able to live one way or another knowing that I hurt someone I care for in that state." He had no idea that at that very moment in time she was thinking of the very same idea. It only enforced the truth of the matter of how strongly Bora felt about those close to him.
It was clear Bora tolerated Melonia's drink almost as much as she did. It was the same alcohol proof as a weapon's grade torpedo fuel, strong was the flavor that counted most when dealing with so many negative emotions. Strong took the edge off, or at least dulled the pain. No one unhappy was ever seen drinking some fruity lightweight drink. Melonia watched Bora's spirits visibly improve as she spoke, the dark clouds slowly lifting from around his head. She knew she was taking an enormous risk on the large Saiyan, and surely Bora knew just as well he was a huge viability that would need to be tow the line well lest he truly become lost. He was on dangerously thin ice, and Bora was anything but a light Saiyan, one misplaced step and his military career, or worse, his life would be quickly snuffed out. Melonia did not like wielding that kind of power over him, but Bora had brought it upon himself, so wield it she would to the best of her ability. Let no one say Saiyans ever failed for lack of trying.
Bora's expression quickly changed from glum to enthused to outright elated, before nose diving off into being straight up stupefied. Melonia might have grinned if not for the deathly seriousness of the situation at hand. Not even the faintest hint of a smile crossed her fair face. A few moments later Bora finally spoke up, his voice barely above a whisper and a hint of skepticism piercing his tone. "I am. Deathly. I don't lie to my subordinates, especially not those I have just given a third chance to. But remember, it is my final one. Three strikes and your out, be it exile or execution." Nothing warmed Melonia's heart quite like seeing Bora sigh a long sigh of content and relief. For the first time in too long he looked genuinely happy, she was even beginning to miss his stupid comments and idiotic jokes. His gracious acceptance only cemented that notion, and a smile crossed his face. Melonia returned the gesture with the smallest of smiles. "Good, I was worried for your sake if you didn't. You're on a short leash, so short I can't very well let you out of my sight. So don't mess this up, or I'll be furious, to say the least." Though her face was betraying happiness and her smile sincere, not an ounce of that happiness reflected in her words. Cold black eyes locked on Bora's as Melonia's tone told the warrior just how grim the circumstances now were.
Melonia smirked, letting Bora finish his statement. The bow that followed was unexpected, Saiyans rarely bowed, or keeled for that that matter. Most gestures of respect came only in words and unspoken signals, to openly show it was a rare thing indeed. "I can hazard a guess how much it means to you Bora. Or at the very least, I can hazard a guess. For the record I couldn't just leave you, you are a soldier under my command. I could only punish you or worse, before attempting to dump you on someone else to be their problem. But even then, that would haunt my record, and I won't have a guilty consciousness." An expression of startledness crossed Melonia's face at Bora's proud declaration that he'd always be there to protect her. That she had hardly anticipated, it was a welcome gesture of compassion, though she didn't have the heart to tell him she was more than capable of protecting herself. "I did not expect anything of you, I don't do the things I do begging for rewards... But... I thank you Bora, your gesture means a lot to me. It's not small commitment making a declaration like that. I swear to you I will not willingly put you into a position where you must choose to lay down your life for me. That is my promise, the second one of today, and as we both know, Saiyans are rather good at honoring their promises."
As Bora gave her the authority to kill him like a mad dog should he ever fall from grace, Melonia could only place her delicate chin in her hands, closing her eyes and reflecting deeply on his words. "I understand." She said sincerely, not letting her inner thoughts be revealed. "Should you fall to your rage I will give you a warrior's death, a clean death in battle, one your ancestors would be proud of. Death is a shame, but it can be a blessing for some. If you are truly too far into the void to return, I will have no quarrels ending your misery so you may rest in peace in the Other World." Melonia stood up from her seat, coming to stand before Bora. The two warriors polar opposites in appearances, eyes locked on another as they spoke their words. "I am honored to be held in the same esteem as your own brother, your own flesh and blood. I do not deserve it though, and I will not hear one word saying otherwise. Instead I'll earn that honor, one action at a time." Melonia outstretched a hand, a simple gesture, but one Bora couldn't not understand.
"Starting now, I'd like to call your a friend. So let's shake on it. On it, on our promises, on our declarations, on our goals and our hopes and our dreams. The whole package, because there's too much to restate everything." Melonia's tail swished eagerly behind her, a subconscious tick that meant she was very enthusiastic about something. Her eyes still serious, but a growing smile crossed her face. Dimples forming on her rosy cheeks as she gazed up at her new companion. "What do you say Bora? Friends?" She knew he'd accept, he had no other options. But she wanted to hear it. Melonia wanted to feel his huge hand against hers. It needed to be this way, confirmed in such a physical gesture, that way it embedded itself deep in his mind. Gave them each a memory to cling to tight even in the depths of their rage. Rage was a Saiyan's great gift, though all too often it was also their curse. It was said the legendary super saiyan of old destroyed himself and a whole planet in his rage. It could achieve great and terrible things. But just this once, Melonia hoped she could prevent destruction, not enable it. Word Count: 1,090 Total Word Count: 11,236
The moment had done a full 180 and now more than ever it seemed as though Bora had felt some sense of control on his life. Memories of his tough past would always be in the far reaches of his mind but this moment in particular would be locked away as one truly special. It would be remembered along with all the times he had with his whole family. Apart from the fact that the saiyanness had said it, he new for sure that she would never lie. The honesty was in her voice and in her warm smile and even though she pointed out the fact that it was his only chance left to make up for the wrongs he had done. He was ready to prove that her choice from that day would not be mistake. "I will give my all to prove that this choice wasn't a waste of time. You can bet on my pride as a saiyan." His heart raced as he gazed down at her face. "I couldn't pass up an opportunity like this and I understand the risk you are taking for doing this, which makes it only natural that you keep a close eye on me should I act out again..." He paused for a few seconds be fore finding the rest of his words "Knowing how much pressure this puts on you, It will make me fight that much harder to keep myself in check no matter how tough it is."
As he went on to make his declaration with a courteous bow, showing the absolute willingness he of his idea to put his life on the line. He would do so if only to be sure that it would keep her safe. True enough saiyans never portrayed such a gesture as in most eyes, to kneel or bow was to willing accept that you where bested or to show as a sign of weakness. In Bora's case, he had very little care for what anyone said, for he truly meant his words and when he performed this gesture it was done to solidify the truth of his words and that he would keep to his commitments no matter the outcome. What Mel responded with was enough to keep him in high spirits. He knew full well that in his current state of strength, he would be little more than cannon fodder should she ever be attack but he was willing to learn and his desire to grow in strength was all the more peaked. After all, he now had yet another person he would stop at nothing to keep an oath of protection to.
Hearing her words of acceptance to his declaration and knowing that it meant a lot to her caused him to smile warmly. "I know it is not a small commitment but I stand by it, just as you honor your own promises... With that said I need you to know.." He went on to give her permission to end his life should he ever act out to the point that he was a danger to her. He knew that if he where to lose his mind and harm her, he would never be able to live with himself. In that state it wouldn't be him anymore, It would be nothing but a psychotic beast that used his body as a vessel to deal out whatever destruction it saw fit. Until Bora was absolutely certain that he was able to harness and control that rage, he could not allow it to actively take control of him again.
Mel accepted the proposition and Bora nodded in agreement. "Knowing that brings clarity to my mind. I can rest easy should you end it all in such a way. I hope that the day never comes but I will thank you in advance for taking it upon yourself." As he stood up to his full height from his bow, he watched the Captain closely as she rose from her seat and took a step forward, standing directly in front of him. Their difference in scale was obvious as he stood like a skyscraper opposed to her. Her hair spiky hair only just managing to meet the top of his brow. It was an odd scene but with the high spirits brought on from words said, it was a rather heartwarming one.
"You say you do not deserve it but in truth you have been the only other saiyan to take such a risk on me. Practically everyone else sees me as a enemy or some sort of freak, and I don't mean because of the size but because, well... I'm a liability, a wild card, an oaf." He let out a soft chuckle as his jet black eyes looked down into hers.
What she said next was rather unexpected but Bora welcomed it. Knowing that she wanted to be friends felt the best. As she extended her hand for a handshake it was her own gesture to cement all that had been said as well as fortified the declaration of friendship. Just like the saiyaness, Bora's tail pulled free from around his waist and flicked about behind his back in a playful manner. Recognizing the look in her eyes as complete sincerity, he knew that without a doubt that she was serious and it did not take very long for the walking wall to come to his answer. His large masculine hand slowly moved to grasp hers and ever so gently gave her hand a squeeze. His tail flicked back and forth before inching towards the locked hands and coiled its way around the handshake. The tip of his tail softly flicking at the end of the coil, his soft fur gently moving over both their hands. It was a strange thing to do but in a odd sort of way it showed as a sign of affection.
"I'd like that very much..." he said with a slight pause. For a moment he simply smiled down at her before uttering the word she wanted to hear. "Friend..."
The two stood their in stoic silence, each thinking on the consequences of what they had said. Finally Melonia worked up the nerve to reply, "I'll take that bet, and my pride is as great as yours. I refuse for this to be a waste, for either of us. I will force you to overcome your weaknesses, even if I must beat them out of you with the harshest training you'll ever face." Melonia gave the faintest cocky smile, sighing softly under her breath as the tension continued to lift from between the two. Once thick like a fog, the haze was dimming as brightness and warmth returned. "Worry not about the pressure put on me, because the pressure you're under and the scrutiny you'll face are tenfold greater. I'm glad to hear it'll make you strive harder for greatness, regardless of difficulty." Bora's words were thick with confidence, the kind she had not heard in a long while. He was truly going to give it his all, this was no hollow attempt to merely save face. Good, that is as things should be. Bora was a true Saiyan warrior, he would break before he bent, his zeal was matched only by his drive. Just as it should be for any warrior no matter their race.
Melonia chuckled as Bora thanked her for preemptively ending her life, should things ever come down to that. "Well, clarity of mind is the one thing I want you to possess. So we're on the right track, just keep that up." Her tone turned more serious, and she blinked once before continuing. "The day will never come, so long as you truly believe that it won't. Force it to be nothing but a theoretical possibility, refuse the prospect of it being reality with every fiber of your very being." Melonia smiled again, a sad smile that betrayed how she felt within. "And if that horrible reality should come to fruition, save me a seat in the Other World. I should hope King Yemma judges us both fairly, I would hate to spend eternity without a body." Her smile widened and Melonia let out a small chuckle. "But, should we both end up as souls with no body, I'd be happy to waffle through eternity with you at my side. Bouncing into things and doing... whatever exactly the after life has to offer us."
The Saiyan beauty shook her head at Bora's next words, he could be very self depreciating when he wanted too. "Well, unfortunately for you, practically everyone else was right. You are a liability, you sabotaged the very launch of this space ship with your negligence. You are a wild card, you nearly attacked one of your fellow crew members simply because he threw a drink at you and said some harsh words. You are an oaf, but for better or worse, you're my oaf now. So I suppose that makes you my wildcard liability too, a joyous moment indeed." Her last sentence was thick with sarcasm, though she didn't think Bora much minded. He was relieved enough just that Melonia was keeping the hulking Saiyan in her immediate company for the future, regardless of the numerous issues he himself had only recently caused.
Their hands gripped each other's slowly, Melonia still having the stronger grip of the two despite much much more dainty hands. In a surprising gesture, Bora added his own tail to the gesture, coiling it slowly around the two of their hands. Melonia was slightly taken aback as she felt his surprisingly soft fur pressing lightly against her arm. She decided to mirror the gesture, her own tail extending outwards to wrap lovingly opposite Bora's thicker appendage. Coiling in opposite rotating between his own tail's furry coils, the two joined together in a most intimate handshake. "I'm glad you like it Bora. I like it too, and I'm proud to call you friend." A silence hung in the air, their handshake completed but the two holding their grip as their tails remaining locked in their compromising position. Their greatest weakness displayed so vulnerably, a gesture of great personal trust and now friendship too.
Eventually all good things must come to an end and Melonia pulled her tail free from against Bora's own, unwrapping it slowly and once more coiling it around her waist like a thick furry belt. Her delicate feminine hands unclenched from Bora's massive masculine paws, and she was smiling warmly the entire time as she returned to a neutral stance. She exhaled sharply through her nose, thinking about what all had transpired. Turning back to their table Melonia gathered up their empty plates and their now cold hard unfinished food. It was such a shame to let it go to waste, but nothing could be done now. She brushed past Bora, bumping his hip with her own wild feminine hips, prominent and well suited for child bearing, giving her a womanly sway with each graceful step as she walked. "Come Bora, my appetite's returning. Let's get something warm to eat, preferably with red meat. No more cut rations, I want you strong enough for my training. We begin tomorrow, I expect you up with the first shift, you'll be sleeping in the barracks nearest the training facilities. I'll see about moving you into the largest bunk they have, but I imagine even that will still be too small. I expect you to cope, and I especially expect you to play nice with the other soldiers. It won't matter after tomorrow though, I'm going to train you so hard you'll happily sleep on the floor just to get any kind of sleep."
Melonia let out a playful laugh, continuing across the upper lounge until she reached the stairs back to the main level. She had a lot to think about, especially now that she'd sworn to take Bora under her wing. He was her charge now, her ward, her student, her protege, and a hundred other terms that all meant the same. But more than that, he was her friend, and though she didn't admit it, her first real friend in quite a while. Most men lusted over her simply for her body, or feared her for her rank, there was precious little middle ground. It filled her with affection and drive to see him succeed. His victorious would be hers vicariously, his failures would reflect equally on her. Melonia would see to it that neither failed every again, at least she would do her best to make that true. Right now though, what she wanted was lunch. Word Count: 1,111 Total Word Count: 12,347 [Thread Exit - Request Power Level. Heavy Weights + Mansion (50%) Bonus.]
Bora was taken back by the saiyanness statement of their possible time in the otherworld. To think of them both being clutched by the cold skeletal hands of death and being stripped of their bodies but even so Mel managed to make it seem a little better by saying that she would more than happy to have him at her side as they would idly wonder about in the afterlife. "I'd have it no other way. If we where put in that situation...I'll be the one holding a space for you in the line to the check in." He let out a soft chuckle. "And if I have to go alone, I will find a way to escape Yemma and return to your side." his voice filled with pride.
The towering saiyan listened intently to Mel's response, the corners of his lip pulling tight at the words. Of all the things he could be considered it was the last sentence that left her mouth which tugged on Bora's heartstrings even though he knew she was being sarcastic. He was her oaf, he was her problem but the fact that she still accepted him even with all those reasons, he felt happy. She was dead right to think that he was relieved enough to simply know that he got to be close to her in the future. Despite all the problems he had caused, he made an internal vouch to try his best to try for better in the future. When it came to petty squabbles among other saiyans or his lack of knowledge when it came to certain undertakings he was given, he would instead try his best to look for the best possible approach and at the very least be more serious when it came to his duties and at the same time wise up on the things he let slip from his mouth in front of the captain.
As their hands grasped one another's, the pair showed a public display of intimacy by coiling their tails around locked palms. It was quite evident that such a gesture meant a lot more than a standard hand shake. To trust another so closely to coil the one thing that gives you strength and stands as a hefty weakness to saiyans in general around another person showed a great sense of trust and care. In that moment Bora felt something else. Almost as if butterflies where fluttering in his stomach. Like a massive weight had been lifted as his heart pounded at a heightened rate. it was a feeling he had never experienced around someone and for this very reason he couldn't exactly explain what it was a result of. A warm silence hung over them for a few seconds as Bora stared down into her jet black eyes. The soft fur from their tails brushing over one another's hands and forearms. "I'm happy to have a friend..." It was quite clear from all other words which had been said that he never really had a true friend that he considered close enough to truly care for as much as he did his family. That's why even when their handshake broke apart, their tails remained linked in a sow of true compassion.
Bora wished that he could stay like that, with her for longer but even so it had to come to an end. The two furry limbs slowly released from one another and returned to their owners respective waists as if nothing had ever happened but the two saiyans new that wasn't true. They both exhaled a sharp breath as thoughts of the scenes that had transpired darted through their minds. Bora remained motionless as Mel gathered up the trays. The large oaf seemed lost in his thoughts as he looked down with a smile but a keen eye could tell that he was extremely happy at that point in time. The happiest he had been since the incident. The gentle bum from Mel's wide child bearing hips, shook him from his wonderland and brought him back to present reality. "Now that you mention it, I do actually feel hungry again. Guess my appetite came back." He said with a faint snicker as he scratched the back of his head and followed after her overjoyed by the fact that he was no longer subjected to half portions. It meant he could eat whatever he wanted and with the recent promotion their was reason to celebrate with a few trays of food before getting some much needed rest from the past few nights of non stop pushups. "I feel like I would be over using the words thank you if I said it again but it's the only words I can think of so...Thank you Mel" the sincerity of his words just proved how grateful he was. Sure he knew that the training he was about to be put through was more than likely gonna tear him physically apart but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. A motto which quite literally explains the Saiyan genes. "Well as strange as it sounds... I look forward to it. I realize pushups count as training but nothing quite beats the rush of being pushed to the limit and beyond. I can guarantee though that I will get some much desired shut eye tonight... after eating everything on display." He laughed at his quite literal statement.
While it was okay to laugh now, what waited in the future was sure to push him more than he realized but even so he felt content to be at Mel's side while it happened. He was training with her as not only an employer but as a friend. The goals which where laid out before him where enough to warrant his full effort and time. He had said it once already, he would get stronger so he could protect those he cared for. So he could protect Mel and Tarnov without so much as a single worry. "I will do this...for you." he said under his breath as he watched Mel begin to load up her tray with fresh food.
