While Vaneera was having her fun taunting the God King, she was blissfully unaware of the robot that was aimlessly wandering around, looking for it's head... That is, until the bloody thing started climbing on top of her and fiercely tugging on her leg. Before she could even react to that, however, Rinako would beat her to the punch, launching a fireball at the hapless bot and the power was more than enough to remove it as a bother. The White Brenchian wasn't able to tell what happened to it. She didn't particularly care either, she was more concerned about Shizen...
"It's not her fault!", she would shout at the girl who was blaming the now fatally wounded fox. "Don't even think for a moment about blaming her for what that man did. You hear me?", she'd glare at Shizen. There was one thing to get straight in this entire goddamn mess, Caesar was at fault... Vaneera essentially got a front row seat to a person's death... The very person she was just trying to save earlier. Rinako started to apologize for not being enough of a hero, like she was... But the future Viceroy would just shake her head.
Weakly, the White Brenchian would grasp the girl's hand. "You don't have to apologize... I'm sorry I wasn't strong enough to help you, or anyone else...", Vaneera would reply to her. "I'll make sure he doesn't get away with this... Just try to save your strength, Rinako.", she added. Though she could tell right now that it was a moot point. Rinako was losing too much energy, and now she was barely conscious at this point... Vaneera hated seeing it. But it would all be made so, so much worse as the girl literally dissipated before her very eyes, becoming little more than small embers in the air.
Embers which then faded... The future Viceroy sighed heavily. Shizen already flying into action by seemingly planting seeds next to Motet and Flare, then coming over to do the same... But instead, she merely handed a seed to Vaneera, then telling her not to freak out and to forget about her for now. The White Brenchian would just glare at her in the eyes. "I'm not going to forget about you, and I will save you one day... If you don't want me to do that, you're going to have to kill me right now."
The future Viceroy would respond, even as the vines would begin to grow around and restrict her. Even if Vaneera wanted to do something, she didn't have the strength to stand, let alone break free from the vines. This was her defeat, and she was accepting it with grace... But it wasn't going to be a permanent loss, either. Shizen would then make her way over to the Caesar and begin to heal his wounds. More's the pity, she was beginning to like his childish attitude about such a small burn. But after his injury was removed, he'd make his way over to her.
Kneeling down, and then reaching towards her neck... Curious thing about the vines, it was only one seed. In her free hand. The future Viceroy was still clutching her sword, and it wasn't currently tangled up by the vines... She'd wait, trying to time this perfectly. As his palms grasped her neck and began to tighten around it, that was when she sprung into action. Vaneera pooled all of her energy into her arm and then flicked a switch, setting it onto the highest frequency setting, after that? Well, she'd aim to slash it right into Caesar.
It was a pointless gesture, even with that effort, it wasn't enough to harm him, let alone anyone else... But she had to try it. She'd just grin despite being choked... Even when the energy began to burn into her flesh. By now, her body had mostly gone numb from the beating she had already received. Oh, she'd be feeling it later, but right now... She wanted her glare to sink into his eyes. She wanted for that to haunt him. The type of look that said she was going to pay him back for every. Last. Bit.
Eventually, her consciousness would begin to fade from the lack of oxygen however, and so too did her grin. Her eyes would glaze over, and she would fall still. Caesar at least having enough presence of mind to let go before too much damage was done in regards to the burning or the lack of oxygen. Her last thoughts before her consciousness faded were not out of her own safety. She'd already seen her entire life flash before her eyes... No, all she was worried about now was Motet. The future Viceroy needed to be so much stronger for her now.
Vaneera made a silent promise not to die... As if she really had any say in the matter. Finally, her energy would drop to a low, but stable point. The subtle movements implying that she was breathing, and thus still alive. Though she wasn't going anywhere for awhile, either. Later on, she'd be able to make good on her promises. The most important one being to care for Motet. She didn't react well to the loss of Shizen... It was going to be a real mess to deal with, and they were still so far from their goal.
At least she was left with a pleasant enough dream. In a way, she always wanted a little sister, Motet could fill that role nicely... So naturally, that desire wanting to be filled would give her a scenario that was away from all this conflict. Even going so far as to bring back her Father, just for a little while. It truly showed just how at peace she was with her fate, and now with her mind completely open? Caesar could likely see all of it. Not that the future Viceroy was aware, or that she could even do anything about it if she did.
Just time to sleep.
