Worried that his rising appetite and burgeoning evolution would decimate the eco-system in the forrests outside of west city Exaccus had opted to leave his dwelling in favour of a more desolate environment, the reasons for this were two fold, not only would he be able to live in relative peace far from the civilization of humans but the harsh conditions and creatures that dwelt in them would surely provide far greater fuel for his metamorphosis, he was unsure if his desire to evolve correctly and to the best of his abilities was a conditioned urge or a natural desire to be everything he could be as a living organism.
It was something of a internal conflict for him, he was unwilling to kill and yet he needed to in order to attain the perfection his every atom ached for, coupled with his growing hunger for life energies Isolation had become the safest bet for maintaining a none hostile relationship with the world and those whom lived within in it, at least until he could grow into a more stable form.
landing clumsily amidst the desert sands his bulky, repressed form kicking up quite a cloud in doing so; he would've called it a crash if not for the fact he'd landed on his feet, taking a moment to allow the disturbed particulate to resettle and his stressed joints to cease aching from the impact before scuttling along, the heat was oppressive even for him, the air rippled and shimmered with the intensity of the suns rays and made the rocky outcroppings that littered the horizon wave and dance like flames against the clear blue sky.
He would need to find food soon and though the desert was sparsely populated he knew well enough that it was home to some of the most formidable animal life on the planet; Dinosaurs, These massive and mighty creatures would make suitable fuel for his growth as a organism in lieu of consuming the sentients he had hoped to build a less strained relationship than predator and prey or monster and victims with.
Before that however it would serve him better to create some form of den to live within, whilst the hollowed log in the forest had served its purpose it was hardly a suitable long term dwelling and whilst he was unable to purchase one of the remarkably convenient hoi-poi capsules for the moment he would need some form of Shelter.
Picking out a rather nice natural crevice in one of the larger outcroppings with a bottleneck that required a little bit of widening to accomodate his bulk he set about expanding his new temporary home, smashing away at the rock with his powerful limbs to create a sufficiently large living space and various chambers for the nessecities he would require, namely, a training room, sleeping quarters and a central room for a fire pit.
Taking a moment to admire the smoothed stone of his handiwork he proceeded to head out into the sun again, taking to the sky and sparing a moment to memorize the location of his residence before speeding away to seek out prey.
Following the sounds of thunderous roars and frantic shrieks he came across a tyrannosaurus attacking a heard of smaller and presumably herbivorous Dinosaurs, weakened by starvation in the vegetation deprived landscape of the desert and too slow to escape and much much to weak to resist, in many ways this was a perfect analogy for himself, a mighty being that was purpose built to consume those lesser than itself to further its own existance.
Though he found it distasteful he accepted that it was nessicary and with no further thought on the subject proceeded to ram the immense reptile bodily at his full speed, toppling the unaware t-rex before turning and with the cold precision of the oppertunistic predator that he was, begain quickly draining away at the herd of smaller dinosaurs, greedily drinking them dry as all the while the enraged t-rex struggled to right itself.
He'd gotten through about five of them before he felt anywhere near sated, five dinosaurs where once a single if massive boar had sufficed, it was both encouraging and worrying at the same time, proof of his growth and the threat of beccomming a simple beast, enslaved by its own hunger before the t-rex managed to right itself and with a thunderous bellow began to charge towards him, shaking the ground with its every step and stooping its head low, mouth agape and razor sharp teeth at the ready to shred the uppity insect that had stolen the lionshare of its meal.
Exaccus had to admire it for what it was, one of natures greatest predators, purpose built for its task and granted the might to accomplish it; like a much much simpler version of himself, though it would be far more apt to compare an abbacus to super computer than to compare this creature to himself even in his larval state.
Utilizing his flight to make an assisted jump onto the lumberin titans back he wasted no time in clamping his powerful zydactyl claws into the beasts hide, penetrating its hardened scales and thick muscles with a mighty squeeze, causing the beast to cry out in pain and attempt to shake him from his perch, to no avail.
Whilst he felt some empathy towards sapient life, this animal had no such saving grace and so with clinical and almost cruel precision and savagey he reared his tail and violently stabbed it down into the saurians exposed back again and again and again, shattering its ribs and vertibrae with precision blows.
if he was to consume this creature, he felt that he at least needed to validate his actions by overpowering it; though much to his suprise the towering dinosaur fought on even as its form heaved with injured exhaustion and its gait became a staggered swagger as it clumsily smashed its sides into the walls of stone around it in an attempt to scrape him off, truely it had earned its place at the top of the food chain around these lands but he could feel it begining to weaken more and more with every mighy blow of his tail, darting into its back, deeper and deeper with each strike, finding new bones to break and new tissues to rip with its stinger till eventually, after a long and mighty if ultimately futile struggle the titanic being succumbed to its injuries and collapsed with a resounding kaboom barely alive and reduced to a catatonic state.
wasting no time exaccus drives his stinger deep into the tyrannosaurs hide one final time and begins to drain it of its life essence, though he held no great love for the animal he wasn't so cruel as to draw the process out, despite his creators best efforts to make the process enjoyable with enhanced nerve clusters along the insides of his tail.
the beast provided more sustinance than anything he had known before, now sated and drowzy from exertion he lazily took flight and headed back towards his new home ready to sleep off his rather large meal, the thoughts of his brutal battle not bothering him in the slightest as his soared through the skies, landing outside his temporary domecile and squirming his way back into the gap between the rocks.
It was a humble beginning but everyone had to start somewhere and with his enormous engineered potential looming on the horizon he felt that his days of dwelling in the quiet solitude of the desert would soon be over and done with, soon he would surely grow into a more humanoid form once he had found a truely wicked being he had the justification to visit his tail upon and use their might for the pursuit of perfection and peace on the earth.
though for now at least that would have to wait, tucking his slender but powerful legs away beneath his bodymass he settled down conciousness begining to fade as he fell into a deep and dreamless sleep, perhapse one day he would learn to dream as other races did and draw on his own creativity rather than simply mimicking others and copying what they did.
Maybe He'd Dream of Bio-electric sheep, maybe of his creators dark and twisted designs or writhe in the terror of nightmares...but for now at least he was content to rest in the gentle, placid darkness of unconciousness...tommorow would be another day, another clash with nature for survival in this desolate desert
One he was resolved to win and not just survive what hardships the world would doubtlessly throw at him in the coming years but thrive and prosper by dint of his great power and intelligence, he would reach perfection just as his creator intended but it would be for himself and his power would be his own to wield for good or ill.
He wouldn't let anyone take his freedom from him nor challenge his right to exist.
