Life in the desert had proven as harsh as it was rewarding, the blistering heat, the harsh sandstorms and freezing nights could only serve to make him ever stronger as a being, he found himself getting tired less often, hungry less quickly, faster and stronger when he did prey on one of the local dinosaur herds and smash more room into his carved out home with ease, claws shredding through the stone like knives through butter driven by his steely sinews he had no doubt that now he could not only shred steel but that his claws would glide through it as if it were nought but icing sugar on a cake.
All in all he was rather pleased with himself though he accepted he was nowhere near ready to begin his hunt for suitably wicked beings to absorb and fuel his evolution with, no had his power levels increased measurably...clearly he was in need of more dedicated training...but for that he would need Zeni with which to purchase the supplies and equipment to facilitate his growth there was of course a singular option for that as he quite firmly believed that no ammount of affirmative action would land an enormous insect a job.
He would simply have to pray upon the local bandits for their stolen wealth and put it to better use.
Flying for hours over desert, forest, wasteland and even a small streach of jungle before he came across the signs of a bandit attack in a burnt out vehicle with its tires removed and even the very doors pried from their hinges for use as scrap, he had to admire their resourcefulness even if they chose to misuse itfor their own gain.
Landing to further investigate he first searched for bodies of any victims using his great strength to tilt the vehicle to check underneath and then pry open the boot, dented shut by what he assumed to be impact with the bandits getaway vehicle, skids on the desert road hinting at the direction he wasted no more time looking for the bodies and streamed away after them before his trail could grow cold.
This time it took him around 20 minuits of flying none stop through the clear skies to find what he was looking for, a rag tag collection of shanty houses and a truck with cobbled together armour and crates of what he assumed to be ill gotten gains, stolen alchol and black market weapons glinting in the desert sands and more troubling still, cages in which figures lay slumped and shivering by the firelight in the center of the camp.
This place would not be standing come the sunrise, he vowed it to himself but first he would release the prisoners.
Slowly and as quietly as possible he lowered himself to the ground and using his thick mandibles chewed the lock to slag, the terrified occupants of the cage saw their oppertunty and nervous of him opted to wait untill he'd moved on to the next cage before running out; it was by this time that the bandits, heavy sleepers and drinkers they may have been caught on that something was happening, wether it was the sound of crunching metal or the pounding of numerous feet on the desert sands didn't matter when they emerged from the derelict building they had weapons in their hands, rage in their eyes and licor on their breaths
on that night the sky glowed with violet and green as the sands shook and shifted and come the break of day Satan City awoke to find several wanted criminals inside a cage on their police departments doorstep and none were ever the wiser about it; though the bandits raved about giant beetles and rampaging demons it was dismissed as little more than a drunken fantasy whilst some good samaritan or another had taken advantage of and trapped them in one of their own slave cages as the city gave thanks to their mysterious hero as they did once to others in ages long past, the saiyaman and his partners and of course the great hercule whom the city was named after in honour of his defeat of countless threats to the earth and its peace, none of them would ever have suspected that they owed this small victory in the constant battle for justice and rightousness to a simple larval form bio-android, more akin to an overgrown rhinocerous beetle than the heroic humanoid they had been imagining.
Not that it mattered one bit to him of course he had come off all the richer for his raid against the bandits and found himself in a stronger position yet, soon he would be ready to reach his evolution all that remained to be discovered now was a suitable target to absorb and bring their power inline with his own. provided of course they proved wicked enough for such punishment to be inflicted and such pennance was warrented on their behalves.
