Appalling. Completely appalling.
Her hands scrubbed at the floor, where the previous day's monthly culling, had left both dried and fresh blood on the floor. Blood which was supposed to have been her duty to clean and finish on the same day, had she not blacked out from a blood frenzy.
One of the members were sent out to find her, and correctly guessed where she was. Unfortunately, he would suffer the same fate as the others, and she discarded whatever evidence that was left, underground using her wolf form. Getting back to the hideout hadn't been an issue, and she had felt much better than she had been before. Though what happened still swarmed her thoughts.
She had succumbed to blood lust, and loss control of herself. As evident by her clothing, which was still garbed in yesterday's attire. A secret that she had hid by shapeshifting into her mist form, and sending those who came to prepare, out.
The room would be ready before the next meeting, but what happened, even if it wasn't outwardly spoken of, was an embarrassment. Something that needed to be made up for. But how? It was moments like these where she could only turn to those who were close to her, and knew of her secret. People like the few she could call friends, as well as her cousin. Though not all at once.
Much as she enjoyed their company, and how it often served to inspire her, it was a headache that she didn't want. But exactly who, and what kind of inspiration they could give her, could be decided on later, after she was done, and had a good long shower.
Having the dried blood of someone on her, could only be desirable for so long. She might have been a vampire, but she was still a girl first. The sound of her spray bottle, and her efforts in cleaning, would soon fill the room with the smell of cleaning agents.
Not as pleasant as the smell of blood, but it would do.Capsule Corp.
The company has had a long and prosperous success, of which didn't seem like it was going to die anytime soon. Holding the wealth this company had, would be a dream come true, as money was proven to be universal, and something that made the world prosper.
It was also one of the companies that she hoped to have good ties with in the future, even though such an opportunity was unlikely for several reasons. One of which came in the form of people with that kind of position in power, having proper protection.
They didn't have time for someone who was unknown to the world like her, and it would only be through luck, that would change. And because of it, she was forced to still live in a regular house in her normal life, rather than something luxurious like a mansion.
A goal that also seemed out of reach at the moment. Both her body and hair were wrapped up in towels, as she left the bathroom, and plopped down onto her bed. A good shower was really something she would always enjoy, no matter what mood she was in.
The only downsides was when her body worked to adjust to the lack of extra warmth, and in doing so, left chills that were not at all pleasurable. The TV was flicked on to fill the room with noise, while she went to go and look for a good outfit to change into.
She had already decided the best person for her to talk to, in regards to helping make up for her mistake, would be the girl who had introduced her to this coven in the first place. The girl had a lot of good ideas, of which she could make her own.
Her wardrobe was a walk-in closet, rather than something hideous, like a big old dresser which would take up needless space. Of which could be used for other things of importance. This other room was as neat and organized as the rest of her room.
That was also one of the things that wouldn't change about her, vampire or not. She had always considered herself as an exemplary student, and rather than fix her own personal issues, she was usually helping others fix their own. Doing so just gave her a special sense of satisfaction, that providing solutions to her own just didn't do for her. Though she couldn't explain why.
But since it wasn't a question that nagged at her, she didn't bother with finding out either. The clothes she wanted to get, were taken back out into the bedroom, as a knock had sounded on the door. Hana had gotten here a lot earlier than she had said to. It was both respectable, and an annoyance, since now she had to keep the girl waiting outside, until finished dressing.
"Hold on, I'm changing."
"A-ah...Understood."
Having had become closer to the girl, since her change into a vampire, it wasn't any secret that the raven-haired girl, was interested in aspects of the body she rather not hear of. It was even more perverse than the kind of suggestions that her best friends, or even her blunt cousin, could tell her. And they had usually meant it in a way that would cause her to flush.
This girl actually meant what she had said, and if it wasn't for a fact she knew the girl was a human, she would have been a bit more cautious around her. Making sure her body was first wiped down of water, lotion was applied all over, with an eye on the door.
It technically wasn't needed, since vampires were ageless until death, but it wasn't a bad habit. Her skin, much like those in her coven, were pale. But with the kind of different races that lived on earth, some of who had even liked attacking the place, it wasn't anything that really stood out. So long as she looked human, which is what most people around really cared about.
Though what did stand out about her, is that her physique was rather close to a friend she had, who tended to ride her bike a lot, and participate in track. This was the build she would prefer to stick to as well, wanting to still hold her feminine charms.
There were certain assets she wished she could improve, but her usual confidence, and her approach to life made up for those passing thoughts. A brown coat, was worn over a black dress shirt and skirt, which hung a few inches above the latter.
Both the red tie she wore with the dress shirt, and the belt that had secured the skirt, gave the attire the schoolgirl look she wanted, but also added a serious side to it as well. Excluding the coat, the idea belonged to another high school, who's uniforms she thought were cute. Though it was missing a few things like the belt and the coat, to really put the whole thing together.
"Alright, you can come in."
Apologizing for the wait would have been something her human self would have done, regardless of reasoning, but as someone who was now a vampire, she thought differently. Especially since the girl had brought the way on herself, showing up early.
She had quickly placed both the towel and bottle of lotion back into their proper spots, before turning to her attention to the girl, who's cheeks were flushing. Like always whenever she saw the girl, Hana always had on just a plain school uniform.
The girl's eyes were also genetically baggy, and her hair was a mess befitting of someone who lived off of her family's income. It was easy to take pride in her own appearance, compared to the girl's own, and it wasn't something she wanted to change.
"I-it..ah..smells nice in here."
Her voice was also meek and hesitant compared to her own, and she invited the girl to sit next to her on the bed, as she gave another glance at the television. Nothing really newsworthy to bring her attention to or note of, so as the girl took the seat, her legs crossed over the other, as she gave the girl her attention. A folder was in the raven-haired girl's hands, filled with sheets.
One by one, the contents were pulled out and shown to her, before being placed behind the folder, when she had gave the girl her approval to do so. The first was an image of a humanoid figure with pink skin. They mostly had red eyes and black sclera.
The name of the race, like the rest of these, she wouldn't care for. All she really needed to know, was who would be a good comparison to a vampire, and the kind of feats they achieved, that her own kin had not yet been able to really do.
Next had been one of the more known sightings, where although they looked human, what made them stand out from those who were actually normal, was that they had monkey tails. Some of them were able to even change their hair color, rumors say.
Another had been some kind of green bug-like group, who's body features reminded her too much of an unpleasant fear of hers. One had been a group that seemed to mostly wear some kind of helmets, and were certainly a species who had a lot of spikes.
While the last were only a step above regular house cats, and apparently had the talent to mimic people. The interesting thing about what she was shown, is that it was only the group of those who had pink skin, the ones who had a monkey tail, and the last ones who the raven-haired girl had pictures of. The rest were just descriptions, as the group were a violent bunch.
"Was he last one really necessary?"
It was a question she already knew the answer to was a yes, but the idea that there were these tiny animals out there, no taller than a kid, who had the potential to match up against a vampire like her. Insulting was what it really was, and the look she gave the girl, was one that had the girl shaking. It wasn't an unusual sight for the girl, who immediately stood up and bowed.
"I-i'm sorry, but everything I said was true."
The confirmation however, was still needed, to know that she wouldn't be wasting her time with even considering the group. Waving the girl off, it was only after the door close, did she unwrap the towel around her head, and went over to comb her hair.
Out of the five groups of races that she was shown, both the ones which had helmets, and the bug creatures she could rule out entirely. Vampires, although stronger than humans, she was aware was far from being the strongest of all species.
It would be naive to think so, but she could at least try and be one of the vampires out there, who would at least put in the efforts of trying. And these particular two sounded much too violent to really measure up to, with her current experience.
Which left those with pink skin, the ones with monkey tails, and the group only a step up from animals. The former and the latter were known to be both chaotic and childish, while the middle was already quite known for both protecting earth, and damaging it.
There was a middle line here somewhere, but the thing she was interested in the most, was how they had gotten so strong. She knew that there were resources out there, like weights and gravity training, but the former was hideous, and latter was costly.
This was even entertaining the idea they had enough reason to do so in the first place, and this wasn't just the work of genetics. Though if there was one thing that really stood out to her the most, it would be their use of ki in their attacks. Something which her coven had avoided, since they didn't really have any issues with hunting down prey, through their own physical efforts.
Maybe that was something she should change.
