It would've been a wonderful day on the Planet Earth, at least for the saiyan Prince. The sun was out at its highest point and there wasn't a single cloud in the sky. There was a light breeze in the air that had kept the saiyan cool. It was a beautiful day, Athren couldn't have asked for a better one, especially considering that there had been some beautiful events developing in his life as of recently. These events were related to anybody he had met recently, it was all about material objects that would help him ascend to his goal. Currently he was investigatig his new space ship for the first time. He had dubbed it 'The Nova'. It was quite a fitting title or at least he believed considering that his technique and his attack themes were all based upon a 'Nova'. It was a beautiful ship from the exterior and that's where Athren was examining it. It was a round shapped ship that spread across a fairly wide landscape. It was black in colour with windows going all the way around it. There had also been multiple spots that there was orange to add a fire to the look. All the way around the shape was an orange line of trim. It had four locations on the bottom as landing pads, these were attached to arms that folded in and out of the ship when needed. The thing had looked glorious, it was completely fitting for the young prince. He was very content that he had made this purchase. Not only did it take care of his travels, it would give him a comfortable place to lay his head down at night and all the supplies he needed to survive. He no longer needed to hunt as much as he did to keep fresh meat in his diet, nor would he need to hit the nearest waterbody for hygene purposes. It was all right here. Though the ship did have quite a bit of empty space for future upgrades, Athren's favourite features was the last one he intended to look into. It was a gravity chamber located in the basement. It was said that it could provide a gravity of one hundred times the one of Earths, this interested the young saiyan the most. It provided him with a challenging environment where his basic training sessions would push his body to the limits and beyond. While Athren gazed upon The Nova he couldn't help but crack a little smile. Everything was coming together all so nicely for him, he had all the equipment required, now all he had to do was put in a tonne of work and become a super saiyan. Surely, this would progress things quickly. He could almost visualize his goal being accomplished. The young saiyan prince closed his eyes for a brief moment to picture himself with that bright, beautiful, golden glow that the legendary warrior produced. He pictured his hair spiked up aggressively and that same shade of gold. He pictured those turqoise eyes. It was the perfect scene, he just needed to make it a damn reality. He pondered on how much time something like that would take, he knew it wouldn't be something simple nor quick. He figured he'd give himself a months time. ~ In one month or less, I will ascend.~ Of course, he didn't realize just how much effort would go into the transformation, nor did he realize that there was an emotional explosion that was necessary to have it occur. He was just thinking it required strength and determination. He didn't expect nothing more than that.
Opening his ocean blue eyes Athren stared upon it once more, his eyes shined lightly as the breeze ruffled his hair about. His heavy weights were currently equipped and so was his scouter. He was once again prepared for everything that he needed to be. He looked at the ramp that had extended from the ships entrance all the way down to the soft, green grass that the Earth had provided. In all honesty, he couldn't get over it. Since he had been given his first space pod all the way to this. He was really achieving things and earning them on his own. He was upgrading things and making proper decisions to benefit himself, he was overall becoming a smarter, more intelligent fighter. It was still hard to believe how far he had come since landed on Earth. If he recalled his power level then was roughly about three thousand. It wasn't extremely high for his age but he was just slightly above the other fifteen year old saiyans and he had nothing. Now, he was just above the ten thousand marker with a decent roof over his head, proper training equipment and a skill set that matched quite a variety of opponents. He was becoming quite the warrior, strong, tough, determined and willing to fight until his last breath. The only thing he wasn't impressed with that involved his own doing, was the fact that his only purpose was to achieve the super saiyan state. There wasn't anything more after that. He didn't have a clue what he'd do with his power afterwards. Would he do like Atsuko said and help people? That was highly unlikely, or would he just do his own things? He didn't know, maybe he'd meet more people who would provide him with more options and maybe he'd figure it out. All in good time though. In all honesty, the young prince still couldn't believe her suggestion. It was like she didn't know him at all, mind you he was having a difficult time figuring himself out as of late. Still, the idea she had shot him would have been like he was an innocent warrior of Earth who had been out to do good. Of course, this wasn't the case for the young prince. He was out to benefit himself, before it was his race but those goals had died with his conflicting thoughts. It was a damn shame, the prince of Vegeta refusing to return. Well, in his mind he wasn't filling any shoes. He was purchasing his own. He was picking the proper path for himself, the path of a lone warrior.
He decided on taking his FIRST step up the ramp that had led to the inside of the ship. He hadn't seen the interior at this point, yet he didn't want to spoil the moments either. It was a huge day for him, a very big day. Things were about to get all so much easier, yet more difficult at the same time. This of course was in regards to his living necessities all in one place making it simple, and his training equipment upping his challenge to make it more difficult. It was really a win win situation for the young warrior. This whole situation made him quite content. Finally, Athren did it. Step by step he began to walk up that brand new, black, shining ramp that led straight up and into his personal paradise. There wasn't anything in there that could distact him from any of his goals. There wasn't anybody there to talk him into different paths or anybody there to make him think about emotions and things that were to make him soft. There was only himself, and training. For now anyway.
Step by step, his feet clunked against the metal ramp until finally he had taken his first step into The Nova. His ocean blue eyes scanned around. It had quite a lovely interior. It was designed based on Saiyan themes and heritage. There were saiyan armour sets displayed on both his left and right side. The floor tiles were a dark grey, as were the walls. It was perfect to his standards. Athren took a right at this point and began walking throught he hallways, he explored everything as effectively as he could. It had plenty of bedrooms so he could have guests if he desired. The master bedroom was the best though, it had already been filled with all his gear. This was due to him making the simple request upon purchase to suit it with his demands. The producer of the ship did just that. It had a bed, a couch, a sink, a bathroom a TV and countless other nicknacks. Hell, it even had a radio. His armour was on display in that room as well, along with multiple versions of it. Some with shoulder guards, others without, some having capes and royal markings while others had the waistline guards. Everything had seemed fitting. Surely, he didn't plan on using any of it but he could if he was desperate. There had also been some empty rooms in the ship where healing tanks were to be placed if Athren had ever bought any. The kitchen and dining room were quite fancy as well, having saiyan artifacs on display. This place was truly a mansion, in fact it had almost reminded the young warrior of the saiyan palace.
As Athren continued to wander the ships quarters, Athren had noticed a staircase that had went upwards, he knew that down below was the gravity chamber but he didn't know what the hell had been awaiting him if he ascended. Athren decided to walk up the steps. When he arrived there was a viewing window so one could see whever they were going or simply view their adventure. It was a nice touch but one that Athren didn't really need to admire. This area was suited with couches and other entertainment items that Athren really didn't care about. Currently, Athren wasn't aware that the ship was one hundred percent voice controlled either. All he had to do was give it orders vocally and it'd see them through. This would have been a nice touch that Athren would find beneficial, especially when he was training. It'd make it so he wouldn't even have to move or quit training to redirect course or land at a certain location on a planet. This ship was honestly perfect. Athren had now left the observatory and descended the staircase to the main level. He was almost tempted to go downstairs to the gravity chamber if he knew where the access point was. Athren had continued to walk around the ship, he then ended up in a recreational room. One large enough to host a handful of people. This had couches, a television, other entertainment items and in the middle of all of this was a round elevator pad. One that would lead a warrior to the downstairs department to do a helll of a lot of training. Athren had figured he'd now seen a fair share of the ship and figured it was now the time to go see what it was made of.
Step by step the young saiyan warrior walked himself over to the location of the elevator. He stepped upon it proudly and pressed the arrow that pointed towards the floor. It lit up with an orange colour as it had been activated. The elevator didn't have any doors so there was nothing to close, it was circle shaped. It then began to lower the warrior towards his destination. Once his head had cleared the floor of the main level the hatch above shut to seal him from any distractions. Obviously this room was made so the people in it could do what they required without having any damn distractions. This was another feature he appreciated. When the elevator pad had landed it had sat flush with the ground. Athren gazed around to see a large, round room. There were a couple of computers set up, along with a large glass window that held multiple robotic figures behind it. Not only this, but there was a bathroom located down here. There were other features the young saiyan liked, such as a fridge and food dispensers. That wasn't even the icing on the cake, there was another room that was sealed off that had the same features, just it had been equipped with training material. Simple things, chin up bars, weights, treadmills. Of course, Athren didn't know that this room was capable of having the walls sliding away to actually make it easy for people to socialize while training, if that was a required feature. This place was the most advanced training area Athren had ever seen. Surely, he'd find himself spending countless hours here.
The young fighter walked over to the computer at this point, he was curious to see what it offered. He began to read what was on the screen and it appeared to offer countless training excersizes along with drills. It had mentioned multiple versions of enhanced training with the robots. It had appeared that some were able to deflect Ki blasts, some were able to fight with melee. Hell, there had even been multiple full functional androids there ready to assist in the training. It was perfect!! At this point, Athren couldn't hold it back. A large, bright, slowing smile had crept up over his face. "This place is truly perfect. Whomever designed this is a damn genius" Athren still couldn't believe it. Though, it was now time to test himself and see what this place had to offer. Surely, it'd be something interesting.
Athren looked through the options as he wanted to begin with just a simple gravity test, he decided that he'd go with Ten times Earths gravity to prevent himself from being overwhelmed off the get-go. Especially with the fact that he was currently wearing his heavy weighted gear. He understood that the Ten times was going to be equal to that of his home planet, Vegeta was ten times above Earth, yet Athren hadn't been there in so long he came to a solid conclusion that he'd surely feel it, even if it was slightly. "Damn it, Where's the Ten-Times gravity option?!" Athren spluttered out as he was about to bring his right fist down on the table beside the computer. His fist stopped dead in the air as a electronic sounding voice echoed throughout the chamber. "Ten-Times Gravity, Activation will occur in Three....Two...One.. Gravity is now at Ten-Times." Athren had heard this voice as clear as day, he understood it completely. Though, he was honestly a bit surprised at how it was voice recognized though he did like this feature, it would make things much simplier for when he was training. He wouldn't have to walk over to a computer to change the setting of the gravity being applied nor would he have to walk over to deactivate the training bots. It was a great feature that was surely well thought of. Though it was typically hard to do, the maker of the ship had Athren completely impressed with it. Athren couldn't find a single complaint about his new ship at this point, in his eyes 'The Nova' was perfect.
It was in that moment, that Athren had felt heavier. There was a much bigger weight on his shoulders. It wasn't enough to make him drop to his knee's but damn, he was struggling quite a bit with it. "Grr.." It was turning out to be tougher than he had though, though it was most likely his heavy weights doing the core of the challenge. He assumed that seven years away couldn't have made it THAT difficult in his homes gravitational pull. Though, Athren felt a change in weight he knew for a damn fact that he wasn't going to drop. He took three steps backwards just to see how much harder it would be to move, though it was slightly more challenging it wasn't impossible. The young saiyan Prince smirked lightly, he was enjoying the additional challenge that the gravity was providing him with. "Alright, Let's see what I can do in this.." Athren commented to himself. His tone and whole attitude was full of confidence. He was ready to meet the challenge. Athren had lunged his right fist swiftly forward through the air, it cut through like butter. He felt the weight of the gravity pulling his extended arm towards the ground but he didn't let it budge. He refused to let it drop by even the slightest centimetre. If he had let it drop, he'd feel defeated by such an empty task. There wasn't any way he was going to let that happen. Not one. Athren brought back his right fist, only to shoot his left fist in the air in the same method. It suffered the same challenge yet experienced the same victory as the right. ~Alright, This is actually somewhat interesting..~ Athren had thought to himself as he hadn't really gotten into the training yet.
Though, now that he had given a slight test to understand the force of the gravity and what it'll do to his body, Athren believed it was time to give it his absolute best shot. He intended on holding absolutely nothing back and giving it everything he had. He was going to work his body completely and as hard as he could, he wasn't going to waste anymore time and get straight too it. He needed to become a super saiyan, he needed to shine like he was supposed too. There wasn't going to be anymore hiding in the darkness.
It was now that Athren's mind was set to the challenge, he wasn't going to quit nor back down from it. He was going to train harder than he ever had before. Quickly Athren shot his right fist forward again, followed by another left, his right foot came up quickly and spun around in a roundhouse fashion, he then shot his left foot forward. He imagined himself fighting saibamen just like he used to back on his homeworld, though they weren't there he remembered what it was like. In fact, he almost wished that he had a few of them around now. Sure, they were easily wiped out but it gave him a real opponent. That's what he wanted at the moment. His gravity chamber was going to be used primarily by him, he wasn't going to allow others to use it often but he did want to see what could come of having a sparring partner in there. He wanted to be aware of all the circumstances regarding what this thing could do to benefit his training. The more he knew about it the better off he'd have been. Though, at the moment he didn't have a partner. That was going to change shortly but he didn't know that. For now, Athren continued to barrage the air with countless punches and kicks, his speed was quite impressive and he didn't let the gravity beat him. His form was flawless and his movements swift. A human would've never seen any of the devestating attacks that Athren had launched in the air. He kept up his pace, his barrage didn't slow down. "RAH!" Athren yelled out as he moved his body forward to unload a swift and powerful mid range punch towards the air. He put more power into this one as if he were trying to down an enemy. It was then that the saiyan prince had leaped backwards, he jumped up into the air and did a firm, full back flip before letting his feet come crashing down into the dark grey floor tiles. Once he landed, the young fighter once again launched himself forward as he unleashed yet another barrage of attacks towards the air. He continued to do this for quite some time, he didn't let up or slow down. He kept his pace, though he was beginning to feel the sweat drip down from his forehead. The Gravity had actually been making him work, it was good though as that was exactly what it was supposed to do. He couldn't imagine what it would've been like if his home planet didn't have ten times the gravity of Earth, he'd most likely have struggled massively to keep himself on his feet. Of course, he'd learn that feeling during his next step at the times twenty mark, until then he was going to focus on just playing around and seeing what it could do. Athren continued his barrage for quite some time, though he eventually had come to a completely dead stop. He wanted to keep a mixture of workout routines and swap them out as needed. What Athren believed was best was to work a different part of his body during each session of training. That way, everything would be evenly tested. Athren had paused for a moment, he took a brief look over to the room that had all the weights and training equipment. He debating on using them but decided against it. This was his first time in the gravity chamber, he wanted to see what it could do. Though he was trying his best during the time he was putting into it he didn't want to let it consume him. This was a trail run, nothing more than that.
Athren had now dropped himself to the ground quickly, he planted both of his hands flat against the hard tiled floor and had his toes firmly keeping his body up. Athren lowered himself so that his face had been nearly an inch from the ground, this part had been almost effortless as the gravity had practically made him fall there. The hard part would be what's to come, Athren began to push himself off the ground, he struggled slightly as his arms stretched. Inch by inch Athren made his way to do a single push up until finally his arms had been fully extended. "That makes one.." Athren commented to himself as he successfully managed to pull a single push up off. It was in this moment that Athren began to lower himself back down to the floor. It took every single muscle in his arms to prevent himself from face planting the ground at a very high speed. While Athren lowered himself the sweat from his head had dripped to splat violently against the tile. Once his face was once again near an inch from the floor Athren began to force himself back upwards, though he struggled to do so he eventually managed to once again reach a full arms length from the ground. "That's..Two." Athren counted aloud once more. Over the course of the next half an hour if one were to be a fly on the wall they'd hear the voice of the young saiyan constantly speaking and as time past his speaking would've been more rapid and quicker. "Seventy Five... Seventy Six... Seventy Seven... Seventy Eight.. Seventy Nine.." He repeated his pushs up, time and time again. He continued to count. "Eighty, Eighty One, Eighty Two, Eighty Three, Eight Four.." There was no stopping the young saiyan warrior at this point. He was bound determined to keep going. It was at the count of one hundred and fifty that he had decided to make it more of a challenge for himself. At that point in time, Athren lifted his left hand over the ground and folded it behind his back. This allowed his right hand and arm to take all of the weight from his body, weights and the intense gravity. It was at this point in time that the young fighter began his count starting back at zero. With just his right arm doing the work Athren lowered himself so that his face was roughly an inch from the floor, he felt the weight of the gravity pushing his left shoulder down quite hard at this point, he couldn't keep his body level but he refused to be defeated by the gravity. One hand had already proved to be more of a challenge and he hadn't even begun to try. Slowly, Athren used his right arm and began to extend it. During this time it shook lightly as he struggled to do so. Inch by inch, The young prince lifted his torso higher and higher until he had been at the point where he couldn't stretch his arm any further. "One.." He counted, there had been a strain on his voice at this point in time. He was already getting exhausted from all the effort he had been putting in though he refused to quit. Slowly, Athren lowered himself back down to the ground like he had previously. It was at this time that his arm gave out and he face planted the floor, there wasn't anything stopping him. CRASH! With his face again the floor Athren had to pick himself back up again. He refused to let a little incident get in the way of his training, he knew that if he couldn't pick himself up when he fell that he wasn't a true warrior. He'd only be a weakling. He wasn't going to accept that. Refusing to admit that he was weak Athren began to try again, his right hand planted firmly against the ground and his left still sitting on his back. He one more extended his right arm fully until he was as high as he could physically push himself. During this time, his arm shook just as violently as the time before but he refused to let it give in. He was the saiyan prince after all, he wasn't going to allow himself to be defeated by such a weak gravity level. Another brief period of time had gone by and Athren's count would have reached a total of ninety two. It would have kept going but a distraction was approaching, Athren's scouter had beeped to indicate that there was a power level heading straight for his location. Who the hell could it have been? It probably wasn't somebody he knew because he hadn't told anybody of his ships location, unless they had a scouter or the ability to sense Ki of course. "Hm.." Athren mumbled as he planted his feet down firmly and rose to stand tall. "Gravity, Deactivate." Upon Athren's command the robotic voice echoed throughout the chamber. "Gravity, Deactivated."
The young saiyan was covered in sweat, his clothing and heavy weights completely drenched. It was quite gross to be honest, he had hoped that it wasn't Tau or Atsu coming to visit him. If it were them, surely they'd be slightly disgusted with his current appearance. They hadn't seen him like that before, they had only seen him fresh and clean. Though Athren thought, they probably didn't know where he was, so it most likely couldn't have been them. Though this had left the question standing... who the hell could it be? He figured the best way to find out was to get outside and meet them before they began to wander around his ship without his permission. The last thing the young fighter wanted is somebody snooping around his belongings. Athren sighed lightly, he really didn't want to be pulled away from his training but he did leave the main ramp down. If he hadn't left it down there would be a very high chance that he'd ignore the power level and continue doing his training. If only things had been that simple this time around. Step by step the young warrior headed for the circle shaped formation in the middle of the training room, he had stepped upon it and hit the button on the round post that had been in the middle of it that stretched to the ceiling of the main level. Slowly, the platform began to rise up. As Athren's head neared the sealed, sliding hatch it opened up to allow the passage of the young fighter. Once the platform was flush with the main floor it stopped dead.
At this point Athren began to walk towards the entry ramp, it appeared whomever was approaching was coming in quite quickly. If Athren kept his pace he'd beable to hang out at the entrance at the ramps top and await the one coming in. Maybe they'd be a good opportunity to have a sparring partner in the chamber? Or, Maybe they were just a stupid fool looking to die. Athren didn't know at this point nor did he really care. His first priority was to find out who it was, second one was to find out what the hell they had been doing there. Once those two questions were answered the young prince would have made a decision whether to offer the gravity chamber to them or not, at least for one temporary use.
It didn't take long but Athren had found himself at the entrance to his large ship, the power level on his scouter was still incoming at quite an impressive rate. Whomever it was should appear within a short minute or two. Of course, While Athren had waited at the top he crossed his arms tightly against his chest. His ocean blue eyes scanned the air as he watched for the one flying in. While he watched, his right foot began to tap against the dark grey tiling of the ships floor. He was curious, who was there to bother him? He wanted an answer quickly, he wasn't exactly patient when it came to things like that. Unfortunately, Athren was going to be forced to wait a little bit longer. This was regardless whether he wanted too or not. Surely, it wouldn't take much longer for the figure to appear. Whomever it was, Athren had truly hoped they weren't going to be a massive waste of time. He hoped that they could provide him with a test dummy for his first time use with his gravity chamber. If they didn't fit his need, he'd surely tell them where to go to get them out of his way quickly. He didn't want to spend any minute discussing useless facts with a useless lifeform. His super saiyan status wouldn't be achieved by just standing around and talking. "Hurry up and get here. Damn distraction." Athren mumbled to himself quietly as he awaited the figure. Finally, he could see a figure flying through the air towards him. Though they were at a distance, they'd get there in moments.
