The day seemed to be still high in the sky as it was around two in the afternoon, beautifully warm weather shining down from clear skies that loomed over the busy city below. With cars rushing past sidewalks somewhat filled with pedestrians each tending to their business, it was clear that West City was quite awake and alive this time of day. But among the various peoples that made their way around the city streets, one seemed to stand out despite his attempts to somewhat blend in.
Humming loudly with a wide smile on his face as he seemed to look around in a mix of wonder and amazement while he walked, Kim had decided to explore the curious city for once that he'd been observing for quite some time before. Before he felt a bit intimidated by the constant pollution of noise as well as the scary vehicles that people seemed to drive but he also felt an immense interest in the people that inhabited a city. And so he had taken to the streets, passing by stalls and the like in his best attempt to blend in with the people so he could hopefully just have a quiet day of exploration. His appearance was disguised with the same face he usually wore, appearing to be a young child with some fox ears resting on his head as well as a large fluffy tail behind him that nearly made up equal to his body in size. On his body, he wore a loose traditional outfit that most would regard out of style, but it seemed a bit fitting on him at least. It wasn't really a good disguise for hiding his race, much despite the protests of the voice in his head, but it did help to make him seem a bit more approachable.
Hugging his fluffy tail tightly against his chest with both hands, Kim's small feet seemed to softly patter as he ran from one place to another now. His nose couldn't help but feel attracted to the various aromas of different food stalls settled on the corners of each street, causing the kid's mouth to water quite a bit after he realized he hadn't packed a lunch. Every so often, he'd take a second to escape from some girls who'd look at him and tell him how adorable he looked in order to look for food to scrounge up, but it seemed to always just be out of his reach. Often, he'd be shoo'd away from stalls after leaning up on their counters and staring at the food for too long. With a loud growl coming from his tummy, he began to pout as he walked and looked around in hope maybe he could find someone to help him before plopping himself onto his butt and pouting down at the ground since he didn't really know much about how to acquire and food or anything in these places. "It's not fair Jae Eun! I wanna eat too like them and them!" he whined as he began to point in various directions as people walked by with meals in their hands before going to cross his arms, sniffling a bit. "I don't know what they want! That's why I'm sad!" he carried the conversation on seemingly by himself, not really caring about what others thought when they noticed him.

West City.
Like South, and East city, but at the same time completely different. That was another thing most enjoyable about this planet. The amount of diversity yet everything still had its similarities. A pretty strange thought, but Marcel was known to have weird thoughts like that. Yet again, the demonic Saiyan found himself peacefully walking along a sidewalk filled with multiple people. With the amount of times this has happened, Law has begun to mentally count the various people who came by, but always ended up losing count with the amount of people coming in. He'd sometimes glance at what most people did as they walked past, but usually it would just be people with their eyes glued to their phones, not even seeing where they were going. The man enjoyed most things about Earth, but the phone stuff was something he found questionable.
Though, it actually did make him ponder about getting one himself....Then again it wasn't like he had anyone to talk to.
Continuing his walk, Marcel would begin to sense a level of ki way stronger than any of the Earthlings around. The man would pause as he glanced across the street, turning his head completely shortly after. At the other side of the road, the man could see what appeared to be a young child sitting down by himself, and visibly upset. This wasn't the man's first time seeing someone young with a lot of power, so he wasn't too surprised. What really got to him was that the child appeared upset, and alone while pointing at random people. He was the type to quickly grow concern after all. After turning the rest of his body around, Law would walk up some, and wait for those cars to stop driving by before walking along the road. As he grew closer to the child, he not only noticed that it was a boy, but that he also had white, fluffy tail, and pointy fox like ears. A human zoan hybrid perhaps? He also had on what appeared to be a kimono like attire that fit with his overall appearance. He certainly stood out compared to everyone else here, though Marcel was no different when it comes to his crimson, black slit eyes. "Hey...." the man said in a calm tone before crouching down to the child's level, placing his hands on his own knees. It was then he noticed how the child's eyes were different colors from each other. It was certainly something he hasn't seen before that was for sure.
"Is everything okay? Where are your parents?" he'd ask in a concerned tone. It was weird, and actually upsetting seeing this child all alone. Perhaps he had gotten lost?

Staring at the stand that had so rudely turned him away when he tried to ask for food from them, Kim seemed to pout a bit more as he leaned back and forth from one side to the other, trying to figure out why he couldn't get food from any of the people around here. His eyes were beginning to water slightly as he squeezed his hands tightly into fists and then waved them around a bit before grabbing his knees and looking down again. He didn't really mind the people that much other than the fact he had no idea what Zeni was nor how he could get it to purchase meals. Typically he just asked some of the elderly people close to his home for some food and they'd happily oblige after he did some chores for them. He was about to get up and leave when his ears twitched a few times. "Wha? Where? I don't see anyone that looks like that!" he shifted his gaze a bit curiously as he looked between the people shrugging. "You're wrong. Nobody here looks dangerous." he muttered to himself.
But soon enough, a figure seemed to speak down to him, speaking so suddenly that it caused Kim to fling his arms up and fall onto his side from surprise despite the way he spoke so gently. Letting out a light squeak as he fell against the concrete, he stumbled for a moment before pushing himself back up onto his butt and looking to the newcomer with a bit of curiosity, tilting his head as he didn't really know what to make of the man at first. "Oh! This one!" he said a bit confidently before blinking a few times, taking a moment to register as he seemed to bite his lip a bit, not knowing what the stranger might want from him.
But the questions seemed to both make him curious and reassure him maybe he wasn't dangerous after all. Thinking for a moment, he lifted up a hand to wave to him and gave a light smile. "Hello! Hi! I'm Kim!" he said as he nodded a few times before going to think about what was asked, his smile twisting a bit into a look of uncertainty as he rubbed his chin. "Parents? What are those?" he blinked at the innocent question, not realizing the weight behind it before he turned his gaze to the side for a moment to pay attention to something simply not there before nodding. "Oh! No. I don't have any of those! I don't think so anyway! And I'm okay! But I don't know how to get those people to give me some of their food! They're just hoarding it all to themselves unless certain people come by! I want some too!" he explained as he jumped to his feet and lifted a finger up at each of the various food stalls, then moving a hand to hold his stomach as it seemed to growl in dissatisfaction. He then lifted his gaze up at Marcel as if pleading for some solution to his trouble.

A frown would peek up on the hybrid's face as he saw the child cowering over, appearing to be frightened by the man's appearance. "Oh, no, no I'm sorry if I sc-" but before he could finish, the boy would sit back up a little more confidentially before seemingly speaking...to himself, causing the red eyed hybrid to tilt his head some just as the tailed youth did so as well. Perhaps he was just thinking out loud as people are known to do that at times, so Law didn't think much of it.
The child then cheerfully greeted the man, giving him his name which caused Marcel to nod before returning a smile. It didn't seem like he was so afraid of the man after all which caused Marcel to sigh in relief. He had to deal with so much like that during his childhood, so it still got to him to this day, even if he doesn't look as monstrous as he did back then. "It is nice to meet you, Kim. My name is, Marcel." he said in a friendly tone, wanting to make sure this little guy stayed calm. The tailed boy then asked a question that would cause the hybrid, and pretty much anyone for that matter to raise an eyebrow. What!? He didn't know what parents were!? Sure, he appeared young, but even at that age, he should know by now what parents are. This just worried Marcel more. "Oh...um, you know. Your Mom, and your Da-" but before he could finish yet again, he watched as the child tilted his head to the side as if he were looking at something, or someone behind Law, and proceeded with a nod. Marcel blinked a few times before turning around to see what the kid was looking at, but all he saw were people walking past, not paying the two any mind. With his eyes lowered some, Marcel would quickly look back at Kim once he spoke again, raising his eyes back to normal level.
He...didn't have any parents? An odd answer, but what actually made it odder was that he didn't even seem too sure about it. The first to come to the man's mind was that he is an orphan. "I see...." was all that he could say. It was sad to see this child out here all alone, and apparently with no parents! Why is he all the way out here? Why not in an orphanage then. Who were these parents of his, and why did they abandon him!? The hybrid slowly started to get angry about the wrong that was possibly done to this child, that is until he started to speak of food. Marcel looked over at some of the food stands while the boy complained, watching as some customers went by, purchasing something from there. It then clicked what the boy was talking about, causing a small chuckle to escape the man's mouth before placing a hand under his own chin. He then got back up before offering the child a hand. "Don't worry. I'll get you something, Kim." he said confidentially with a reassuring smile. "Just take me to the stand you wish to got to, and show me what you want."
He still had some Zeni left over from his REALLY brief job as a waiter....despite having to pay for the trouble he caused by mistake. It was still enough to get at least the child something.
Seeming to watch with a bit of curiosity as Marcel was being pretty nice so far to him, Kim smiled a bit and gave a light bow with his hands placed onto his lap when Marcel introduced himself. He wanted to show a bit of respect to the stranger after all. He wasn't really sure why the an seemed so worried about him, but maybe he also knew that being hungry was a cruel fate to be left to. Though he still didn't really understand what that had to do with his lack of parents. Moving a finger to his chin, he thought a bit before going to suddenly extend his finger to Marcel questioningly like he just figured something out. "Where are your parents?!" he blurted out inquisitively as he seemed to mistake it for common subject here in the city. Smiling brightly after making his comment, Kim would just kinda sit there as he waited for an answer as if his question was legitimate.
But as Kim heard about the guy's offer to get him food, his eyes lit up brightly as he looked at Marcel with a mix of wonder and awe, thinking he must've been one of the important people who were allowed to get meals unlike himself. Setting his palms onto his knees, he pushed himself up to his feet a bit quickly before running his eyes around, unsure which one to pick at first before going to start running down the sidewalk with a bit of caution not to end up bumping into people as he weaved back and fourth between people. Coming to a stop in front of a street noodle vendor, Kim seemed to look up curiously before jumping a few times and pointing to it, glancing back to where he figured Marcel would be before going to gesture to the van again. He sniffed the air a bit and it made him whine as he could easily smell pork among the various ingredients in the food, only making him want it more as he clutched the side of the stand lightly. "C-Can I have this one Mr. Marcel sir?" he'd finally question as he looked back with big, pleading eyes that would show just how much he wanted to get something to eat.
"Hm...?" the child was certainly a...strange one, but then again most children are if he thought about it. Kim in returned repeated Marcel's question, asking him about his parents. "Oh, well....they're not exactly around." the hybrid claimed. They weren't dead, or anything like that as most would probably think from a comment like that, or at least he thinks they aren't. The last he has seen his mom was when he was a teen before she abandoned him, and his step father, claiming the two to be weaklings. Then there was his biological father who he didn't know a damn thing about save for being a Demon. It was a subject Law's mother never really went into when she was around, only summing it up as a one night stand, but it was actually something else, something a parent especially a Saiyan one would never dare tell their spawn, or anybody for that matter. His step father who was in his life more than his mother, and definitely more than his real father had passed a few years back, so with that, he really had nobody around as a parent figure, but it's not like he needs one anymore. "But...I no longer need a parent, so it is fine." he claimed with a smile.
As Kim got up, and charged his way to the food stands excitedly, Marcel simply watched, letting out a small chuckle before following, making sure to navigate around the incoming people. He was glad to see the tailed child happy now. Marcel enjoyed that warm feeling of making others happy, of helping when he could. Finally approaching the noodle stand, the person running the vendor looked down at the kid weirdly, trying to figure out what the hell he was doing! The kid tugged at side of the stand before asking the hybrid for a meal. "Sure, but I think you should let go of the stand." he said in a calm tone before turning his attention to the owner, taking out the last of the zeni he had left. "I would like one of your pork ramen noodles, please." he requested, the owner turning around to pour some into a bowl. Marcel passed the zeni to the guy who in return gave him the food. After that, Marcel bowed a bit before moving out of the way, so that the other customers could get their orders.
"There you go, Kim." he crouched back down to the lad's level, passing him the bowl along with the chopsticks that came with it. "Be careful, make sure to blow at it some since it is pretty hot." he said before standing back up, looking around some until his eyes set upon a few women who were looking at the two, the guy blinking in confusion.
Kim didn't really quite understand the meaning of Marcel's words as he spoke, tilting his head a bit as he couldn't quite remember ever having parents to need in the first place, not that he could remember a lot in general though. Still it seemed a bit puzzling the way the man spoke about them, he seemed pretty happy about the whole thing from the smile he gave. "I dunno. I think it would be nice to need someone if only for having them around. Because then that means they must care about you if they wanna help you! Like I need Jae Eun and she needs me! We help each other a lot!" he says with a light smile as he goes to nod a few times at his own words whilst he is running to the stand.
Seeming to lean a bit on the stand once he got there even after Marcel's words to let go, Kim seemed to struggle to peel himself off as he looked with a great hunger at the food just sitting before him, licking his lips as he tried to keep himself from reaching out to just grab the pot. He was trying to make a good impression on the city after all! Quickly, he looked back to the new friend he'd made and seemed to smile as he seemed to get some of the food for him, surprised and overjoyed as he moved back along with the taller man and held his arms up over his head a bit greedily, jumping up and down as he seemed quite a bit impatient, his fluffy tail bouncing up and down behind him with his movements. It wouldn't be until the bowl was passed to him that he would finally settle down a bit, looking down at the meal with a wide grin as he fell back onto his fluffy cushioned rear once more and then looked up at Marcel with a pleased expression. He didn't quite know what to expect from the dish he was given, but he could finally get a chance to try it. Heeding the wisdom of the seemingly older fellow, he went to lift the bowl up before blowing on it hard enough to get some of the steam to dissipate from it. Grabbing the chopsticks, he quickly set to his meal while wasting no time in slurping up the noodles. At first he seemed a bit surprised by the taste before he quickly began to shovel heaps of it at a time into his mouth. It would only be half a minute before he'd practically slam his face into the bowl in order to slurp up the liquid inside as well as catch any stray pieces that evaded his chopsticks.
Giving a satisfied sigh, Kim quickly fell to his back as he let the bowl fall to the side of him. He had a piece of pork stuck to his face which he seemed to not notice, too busy rubbing his full belly as he seemed quite happy now from the meal he'd gotten. Slowly, he pushed himself up and looked back up at Marcel before giving a delighted smile along with a light laugh. "That was really tasty! I've never had that before! Do people eat food like that all the time here? I want to try some again when I come back next time! Thank you so much for getting that for me!" he threw out one comment after the other, waiting before going to push himself back to his feet and then lunge forward to try wrapping his arms around Marcel's leg, trying to squeeze it tightly if given the chance. "I didn't know humans were so nice! Thank you again Mr. Marcel!"
Marcel listened as Kim raised up a good point about having someone around who'd care for them. It wasn't the hybrid's attention to say it was a bad thing, but of course he could've phrased it better. The words the child said did get him to thinking however about how his mother once cared for him, but left him soon after, so easily as if he were garbage. To this day it fills the man with anger, and sadness. Still, he needed to push on through, and not dwell on the past. "You're absolutely correct on that, Kim." Marcel claimed as he walked.
The hybrid would return his attention back to Kim as he started to blow on the hot food. It was good to see that the child listened, a small smile appearing on the demonic Saiyan's face as he started to gulp down the soup, not wasting anytime it seems. A surprised expression, appeared on the man's face before turning into a low chuckle as he watched the kid fall over on his back. He was sure hungry it seemed! After that, it seems he was back up, and sending a barrage of questions Marcel's way, causing the guy to smile at his excitement. "Well...." before he could begin answering, he suddenly felt something squeezing his leg. Looking back down, he could see the puffy tailed child hugging one of his legs. "Oh, it was actually no problem, Kim." he said reassuringly as he patted the boy's head, removing that pork from the side of his face shortly after. "But did you notice how I was able to obtain the food for you?" he asked before looking up at other stands, and the customers that filled them. "You have to use currency, Zeni to normally get these stuff. Not everything is free, or will just be handed to you." he claimed, giving the boy a quick lesson on reality.
"Also, what was this about a Jae Eun if you don't mind me asking?" he asked out of curiosity, just now remembering that the boy brought this person up. Was she some kind of guardian to the boy? However, it would seem he might not get an answer as those group of women from earlier ran up to the two, crouching down, and admiring the adorable little boy like most women would normally do, one of them even looking up, and asking Marcel if he was the boy's father, causing the hybrid to tense up some as he stood there silently, trying his best to get words out.
