To be acquainted with them on any level, one should consider absolute luck. The company was likely the most famous one in the world, which has had a solid foundation for decades, making any new business partnerships far from tempting.
Many have surely tried to come close to their success, or even send informants to try and steal plans for new technology, but the fact of the matter was, they've had enough grounding over the world to mostly stomp competition.
What businesses remained did so because the corporation was allowing them into their monopoly. Or at least, that was what she had believed. And as she was informed on the inner workings, she found that she had been mostly right.
There were a few differences here and there, difficult for someone without business experience like her would understand, but she got the gist of things, and a majority of what went on in the building was passed onto someone else anyway. That was the ideal life about being the CEO of a corporation. To make decisions and have things in order.
Though the wait to get to this position officially, had been more troublesome than she had anticipated. After taking over the building with the help of her allies and minions, getting the former president to resign had been easy.
So had establishing their presence around here, and using the former president as an informant, after a few weeks time to bury the takeover in the back of people's minds. But these were days where she dreamed about the office she would receive, and how she couldn't make another appearance at the building, until it was time for her to do so.
This was a source of money she could pool from, but had to wait for. Something like this being in her reach, but just not attainable because of time, was an issue she just found to be agonizing. And so, time had been spent around her more human minions. Though she knew she would get the position, she felt as if something could go wrong.
Misfortune was always something she found possible. It would be naive to think that would be otherwise. But time had gone and passed, with her next entrance being similar as the last. The former president was gone now, resigned from her job. While her mother was the representative who had her name listed as the head of the corporation.
It was merely just a ruse for the much legal affairs, but every worker in this building should know they were now her pawns. To quit a job like Capsule Corp, and not just fired, was the equivalent of being a whistle blower.
Companies had businesses they likely didn't report for good reason. No one was absolutely that pure. At least, when it came to humans. Spinning around in the armchair of her new office, an amused smile crept on her face, as she nodded at the worker who was sent to brief her on the way things worked around here. She knew the man was distraught.
They all were. This form of hers, with its vibrant red slitted eyes, and fangs fully retracted out, hadn't been one she left since receiving the position today. They needed a reminder of how easily she could just end their lives.
It was only reason, and seeing the corporation as an advantage to her sources, that kept things from being otherwise. There was plenty who worked here likely for a long time, and knew how the business ran, like the back of their hand.
To take that away and replace them would be asinine. Easier to just slowly incorporate the kind of people she wanted to work here, rather than just ridding of all of them. Coming to a stop, she waved the worker off dismissively, who left with shaky limbs, the door closing behind him. She was really enjoying her time around here.
Her eyes shifted to her desk, which held a couple of portfolios that they wanted her to read, and some contained things they wanted to get a final say on. Though it was pushed to the side, so she could press the intercom.
"Send up my cousin and the other girls."
"A-Alright!"
From the other side of the speakers, her secretary had answered. Fun as it would have been to emphasize how the woman should make things quick, she likely already knew. What really mattered is that she could celebrate this position with her minions. Though they really had to go over exactly just what this success meant for them in the future first.
Out of everyone who lived in her mansion, she had invited a majority of those who were human to come here with her, while the rest stayed to setup decorations. Among this smaller group, was her cousin, and the two more conservative duo. None of them could really get here as fast as the other Vampire, Miki, so she would just have to wait.
But that was fine, since she was far from being in a rush. Every second she spent sitting in this chair, which was incredibly soft and comfy, reminded her of the jacuzzi they had back at the mansion. Though she really had to add a TV or something to this office, to make it more suited to her tastes. They surely, could be able to afford that much.
Opening the reports in front of her, she started to read them, her fingers absentmindedly tapping the table.

So this is the famed Capsule Corporation? For such an influential presence on this planet. Even with the knowledge that there is more property owned by this company, it's a rather quaint structure for a organization that plays such a big role in the lives of the citizens on this planet.
Cryonia was staring up at the main facility of the famed Capsule Corporation. Cryonia had done quite a bit of research before coming here. It was the world's largest provider of Dynocaps in the world. Which were essentially portable storage that were used to carry things far too big or heavy to transport conveniently otherwise. Prior to that invention, it was in close competition with other companies. The Dynocap was a revolutionary invention that propelled it long past their competitors, thus ushering in their era of prosperity and dominance over the market. In one fell swoop, Capsule Corporation became the go to brand for human technology. Even from the perspective of an Elemi who grew up on an advanced space station that was beyond anything that humanity could pull off, this feat was actually quite remarkable. Capsule Corp had managed to produce technology that was decades ahead of anything else on the market at the time. Cryonia had done some research and discovered that it was the creator of the first fully functional long distance spacecraft for the human race. There was no denying the importance that this company had in shaping the influence of human civilization.
While it was a curious piece of history, it on its own wasn't enough to warrant Cryonia's attention. It was impressive for human technology, sure. At the end of the day though, it was still human technology. While Earth had the advantage of having many species to study and being a good place to conduct her research in general, most of the individuals on this planet weren't going to help her make any technological advancements. More likely then not, she would probably end up teaching them about how to help her. Recently though, the CEO of Capsule Corp stepped down. And in their place, a very young female was now running the company. This individual didn't appear to be directly related to the CEO who had stepped down. So there were some very strange oddities about the situation. That girl appears to be way too young to run a company this big. At her age, she wouldn't even be fully graduated from what humans pass off as an education system. So how did she end up getting the position she did? Maybe there's more to her then meets the eye.
Ultimately her curiosity was what led to Cryonia investigating this. At least, it was what set things in motion. Cryonia had given the matter a great deal of thought and decided that it would be a good idea to try and develop good relations with this individual. Having the support of someone who had a big sphere of influence would have quite a few benefits. She wasn't going to let this opportunity slip past her.
Cryonia walked through the front doors, heading over to the front desk. After a very brief inquiry, Cryonia headed deeper into the building and towards the office that the new CEO resided in. Cryonia received quite a few strange looks from people as she walked by them. She strode confidently through the masses though, not paying any of them even the slightest bit of attention. Honestly their opinion on her appearance was absolutely meaningless to her: she wasn't going to convert to their standards of fashion just to fit in. No no, Cryonia did not follow anyone. If anything, they should follow her. Aside from those she acknowledged as important in some way, she viewed the majority of the Earth populous to be beneath her. They weren't even a part of the Galatic Community.
Cryonia wasted no time once she had made it to the CEO's office. After tapping her knuckle against the door to announce her arrival, she opened the door and entered the room. A quick survey of her surroundings quickly solved one of the mysteries she had came here to solve. The girl sitting at the desk in the room was not human. Cryonia didn't recognize the energy signature, so she wasn't sure what species she was. The red eyes seemed to indicated that she was related to the demon race in some manner though. Cryonia cleared her throat to get this individual's attention, lowering her arms to her side and staring at her calmly with her teal-colored eyes.
"I presume that I am speaking to the new CEO of the Capsule Corporation. My name is Cryonia, and I'm here on official business. I am a representative of the Homeworld Restoration Effort, which is the governing body of the Elemi race. If you take the time to listen to what I have to say, it would be very beneficial for the both of us."
Cryonia said this all calmly while carrying her confident posture and demeanor. It was clear that she at the very least saw herself as Rukia's equal. She certainly was going to treat the new head of Capsule Corp with respect. She wasn't going to allow herself to be intimidated or looked down upon though. No matter how things played out, Cryonia intended to start and end this encounter with the both of them treating each other as equals.

The idea that she had become the new CEO of Capsule Corp. They might have been under the rule of a monarch, and one which emphasized being neutral, under the guidance of that kitsune Queen of Earth, but there were still legal issues that came with someone as young as her having this kind of position. Her mother was listed as the representative.
So those outside of Capsule Corp, would only know that a different woman was the one who took over. It was supposed to be foolish to believe otherwise, that someone like her, who had only made two visits to the building, was actually in charge of the company. But that was the thing she wanted people to believe. Recognition wouldn't be necessary for another year and a half. The world could believe what they wanted, but her position was far from the worst choice.
Though this knowledge was only for those outside of the company. For the most part, she couldn't completely control what was said by those working for the company. People who might have been upset, but defeated there was nothing they could really do to have her leave the position. There were times when age mattered, yes, but who was really foolish enough to strip away a position from her, knowing what she was capable of? Knowing she was with the next generation?
A year and a half difference wasn't too far off, and if anything, the knowledge that she lacked, could simply be the equivalent of an internship. To argue against that, those of this sort were really just complicating things.
No one was going to suddenly lose their jobs if it wasn't seen as necessary, and every worker in this building, should have knew full well there was nothing to worry about, with the company's solid background. It was a secure job.
Though even with all of the reasons she had personally addressed, the day she had gotten the former CEO to resign with her takeover, those who were still frustrated that she was young and managed to grab this position, did let rumors slip out about the possibility that she was the CEO. But thinking about it even now, it still was ridiculous.
She took satisfaction in that however, which served as motivation to carry out work, that wasn't out of her own personal interest. Similar arguments were made with what they needed her input on, and she couldn't help but be taken back to the kind of notes she wrote for her more human minions, since they could only be home-schooled.
Not by her, as she didn't care enough, though she was never one to not offer advice. It was likely the reason she hadn't even noticed her red-head cousin and two minions come in, the former surprising her as she gave a tap.
Looking up from her work, she found the girl holding her phone out, clearly having taken a photo of her surprise, if the smirk was any indication at all. Behind her, the two more conservative pair of her minions smiled shyly.
"Good. Getting this job didn't go straight to your head."
In a tone that some would say was that of someone spoiled and arrogant, the other girl had turned her phone around, revealing an image of her she found to be embarrassing. One that showed on her face as her cheeks reddened.
Her cousin was one of the few who was really allowed to show her disrespect, having been the one to teach her to act superior in the first place. She didn't really like the feeling that was imposed on her, as it reminded her she had a human side, though it wasn't one she would address or change. There wasn't really a need to do so.
"So what's this new plan of yours, now that we have hella money?"
It wasn't that simple. Money still took time to earn, and she couldn't just take from the resources here just yet. It would be a stupid move, and sow distrust in places that it currently wasn't needed. She didn't have that kind of trust around here yet. Not to mention how it very much lacked any tact to just get this position, and already collect.
"You know I can't pull from things just yet. But from here, I'd like to buy more housing, maybe even get in good with the military, after a few months."
Though she still understood what her cousin had meant. With Capsule Corp's backing now behind her, she could finance projects she previously was unable to do due to lack of funds. The red-head should have also understood what she had meant. Crude as the girl could be, she wasn't dumb. She had certain experiences in areas she lacked.
The red-head was also more than likely to offer a perspective she hadn't thought of. Though that role was shared amongst all of her minions and allies. Served as inspiration for when she couldn't think up of something.
"Yeah, whatever. Just remember you've still gotta treat me for watching these two."
Sitting herself in the chair that was in front of her desk, her cousin had taken what she had been working on with one hand, while gesturing to the two girls with the other. Both the brunette and the other red-head, had been rather silent, with the former comforting the latter in a hug, as they waited to be noticed. This was her cousin's doing.
Normally the two would have greeted her right away. This was the result of having family around people who were supposed to serve her. They gave her privacy that while she appreciated, wasn't quite necessary. She knew full well the other girl wouldn't have minded. Though they didn't know her cousin enough, or were too afraid, to do otherwise.
Forgive us for not greeting you."
Both the two girls had bowed, though as usual, the brunette was slightly more in front than the other girl. She had actually hoped the idea of celebrating would loosen the red-head up, and knew it really would, having done similar.
But their current setting seemed to be what was troubling the girl, causing her to cling herself to her friend, who welcomed the dependency. These two still haven't really quite split apart like she had somewhat envisioned them to. It wasn't exactly a bad thing however. If anything, she could at least count on both of them working better together.
"The others have already set up what you've asked. We hope you can return home content with things."
"Ah..I-if you need it, I can offer a massage."
With the brunette doing most of the work, it allowed the other red-head to step up and say her piece. Surprised and nervous as usual, compared to the other girl, who spoke with a more vibrant and caring tone the girl tried to mimic.
That much had been clear, watching the posture and gestures with the hand, though in the end, it became her own take anyway. Had she not taken satisfaction in the girl's shyness, and how manipulable it was, she would be displeased.
"Well inform them we can be there in an hour, depending on delays."
These workers here, though afraid of her, would still likely manage to utter enough to ask for rather trivial input. Or maybe even assign her more work that needed to be looked over. That certainly wouldn't be a surprise.
Nodding their heads, the girls had went over to sit on a couch that was between a coffee table, and other couch. There was a bookshelf nearby, as well as a window view on the opposite side of the other couch, though nothing she was able to really appreciate just yet. Her eyes turned back to her cousin, who rolled her eyes after watching the two.
That report she had taken was given back to her, a frown on the girl's face, likely displeased at having been kept waiting. Even though her cousin surely knew that it couldn't have been helped. She was just that kind of person.
"Finally. You know, you really need to put more time into talking to those two."
It didn't matter to the red-head that they could hear her. If anything, the other girl wanted them to, enjoying the fact that it would only lead to the brunette comforting the other red-head, whose feelings would be hurt.
"Now, let's talk about you getting me some other supplies."
After the girl had finished saying so, the intercom she had turned on from the other end, as indicated by the light litting up. Something that made the other girl scoff, crossing her arms as she was forced to listen again.
"T-there's a girl who wants to see you...She's not one of yours."
She looked over to her cousin, who shrugged. Someone was willing to see her, even though she still hadn't ceased in taking off this pressure, this form of hers gave out. This girl couldn't have been someone human.
Most likely, it was either a hybrid, or a being from space with an uncanny resemblance to humans. Both of which irritated her, more than fascinated her, knowing culture was usually lost, or they lacked certain reasoning.
"Send her up here."
Letting go of the button before she could get actual confirmation, an eyebrow was raised at the red-head in front of her, hand gesturing for the girl to continue while she had the time to do so. Which she could only assume bothered her. Frowning was something her cousin tended to do when she wasn't teasing her, and she got irritated rather easily.
It was certainly a family thing. One which she picked up, after the other girl had rubbed off on her. So she very much understood what the girl might have been feeling. Though she wouldn't exactly say the girl was actually easy to read.
"The usual. That one dress I've been looking at for awhile, and some real drinks. None of that fruity shit."
While the red-head had only listed two things, she knew full well the kind of shopping habits her cousin had. There was plenty more she wanted, but it was listed in a way that it would sound like she was offering for more.
"Is that it?"
"We'll see when we get there."
She knew she was being manipulated too. Though it made her cousin happy, which was really all she could really ask of the girl. Smiling, the red-head had stood up, already pulling her phone, and sitting on the opposite side of the other two girls. It didn't need to be addressed that she should wrap the conversation of whoever wanted to see her, up.
There was still very likely a few more she could jot down before that girl arrived. She wasn't at all quite finished yet, though she completed a majority of what would take her the longest to do. That was really the easiest as well.
A few more was left when she heard the knock at the door, and a girl who seemed to have dyed half of her hair white, walk in. It certainly matched the apparel, which had some kind of split theme to it. As the girl went onto explain exactly why she was here, she was reminded of a pinkette she knew, who had met a Cryonia. A name which was far from common, surely. The impression her friend had of the girl, wasn't exactly something that was really great either.
Meeting her now, she could partially see why. It was a bit presumptuous to assume, what she had kept secret, and even more to believe that she was willing to help with this restoration effort. Even if the girl had outright admitted she wasn't a human, but an Elemi. The same species that her friend was half of. She didn't care about preservation.
If this girl's kin was dying out, or simply was lacking in housing, it was easier to just enslave the rest into being her pawns. She liked to think that working for her wasn't as bad as it could be, if her allies was any indication.
"This isn't some charity fun. If you're looking for 'donations' just get a loan or something."
As she had propped her arm underneath her chin, while the girl was explaining her cause, her cousin had looked over from the couch, giving commentary with that brash tone of hers. The red-head wasn't exactly wrong.
What she was told sounded like she was being asked for donations, and if it was money which the girl had needed, then loans somewhere more suitable like an actual bank, would be easier. The girl didn't seem like she was as broke as that swordsman she had met awhile back and went up against, in tournament island. But poverty of any kind still wasn't a good excuse. If she actually cared about people's issues on that level, she would be a humanitarian.
Not to mention because of her good hybrid friend, she felt a bit bias on her views of the girl. Though she wasn't one to oppose earning trust. It was how certain foundations had started, establishing relationships with someone else.
"While I appreciate your forwardness, especially in admitting you're not human, my cousin isn't wrong. Your phrasing sounds like a charity case, which would be more suited for a bank, as wealthy as Capsule Corp is."
She wasn't going to deny the accusation that she was the CEO, not really feeling like that game should be played, seeing as how the girl had already revealed something about herself, which she found to at least noteworthy.
"However, whether it is or it isn't, I'm afraid I'm a bit hesitant in forming any kind of business, knowing my friend Duvainel doesn't exactly think highly of you. Opinions can change, but it'll have to be earned."
Though it was more of a statement than a question, it should have been clear she had given her own proposal. Mentioning her reasons and bringing up the name of her friend, was simply to elicit a reaction from the girl.
So many people fell for this sort of thing. Having smiled near the last half of her response, the fangs that had bared out while she was in this form, she knew gave some people the impression that she was planning something mischievous.
However, in this case, she would hardly say it was a bad thing.
Cryonia's eyes widened as a name that she didn't expect to have been brought up was suddenly uttered. Not to mention that it was in the worst possible way. Cryonia initially thought that the most problematic thing she was going to have to deal with were the other people in the room. They reminded her of a group of honor guards, only these individuals didn't know when to stay respectively silent. It wasn't anything she couldn't handle though. If she had to comment on something they said, then she would address them briefly. Although she was going to focus the majority of her attention on her negotiations with Rukia. It was going to be a simple enough negotiation. Until Duvainel raised her ugly pink head again. While her eyes returned to normal, Cryonia was still shocked over this turn of events.
This is ridiculous! That pink haired zealot is hindering me at every turn! Of all the friends she could possibly have, it just had to be someone this important! All because she has skin thinner then an atom!"
Cryonia was very careful to make sure none of her initial irritation was showing on her face. Given with the tone Rukia was addressing her with and how the exchange was going so far, there was only one possible reason as to why Duvainel would go into great detail to describe her encounters with her Rukia in as much detail as she had. That being Duvainel was now deliberately getting in her way in every way that she could. Every other possible explanation could be ruled out given by how her interaction with Rukia and what she assumed to be her employees was playing out so far. Cryonia closed her eyes, a smirk spreading across her face. I don't even think this all that often, but I'm impressed. Up until this point you here just a minor annoyance with a very rare ability. You kept me from discovering how exactly how it worked, but I don't absolutely need Twilight energy to achieve my goals. You were just a minor player that I was going to put to the side until I had the time to truly investigate your capabilities. To go this far to get in my way means that you view me as an enemy. It's been a long time since I've been outsmarted by someone. I can't afford to keep viewing you as a minor obstacle. You’ve forced me to reveal my true identity to someone before I could meet with Queen Rinako before I could get an audience with her. For that, I’m creating a data file specifically for you.
Creating a Data File on someone meant that Cryonia was actually going to take the time to gather information on someone fully and study all aspects of them. Not just their capabilities, but everything she could find on him. Up until this point, Cryonia was more interested in Duvainel’s abilities rather than the pink haired girl herself. Now Duvainel had gotten her attention, and not in a good way. For the moment, Cryonia wasn’t on the best of terms with Duvainel. Duvainel could do something to change her opinion of her, but as of right now, she was an opponent that Cryonia had to deal with. She wouldn’t go as far to consider her an enemy, but she had earned a notable place on her list. Opening her eyes again, Cryonia focused her attention on her current predicament. She was going to have do all she could to bring things to a more favorable position.
"If what I came to talk about wasn't such a serious matter, then this whole situation would be humorous. Duvainel is your friend? I will confirm what Duvainel told you: she isn't that fond of me. We have a difference on scientific opinion on more then a few subject matters. I disagree with most of hers, although that doesn't mean I hate her. I can't say that I like her either though. I'm slow and methodical, so it takes me time for me to decide my opinion about the people I interact with. Regardless of what I think, I won't let my opinions concerning Duvainel effect our interaction today. I hope that yo too will let logic and not emotions effect your actions."
Now that she had gotten that out of the way, Cryonia could move onto the important subject matters that she wanted to talk about. Cryonia reached up with one hand, clearing her throat before lowering it back to her side and proceeded on with her case.
"The founder deliberately picked that name for our government to make other races more sympathetic to our cause, so you aren't entirely wrong with your initial assessment. A long time ago, the Elemi and our sister race the Bijou were forced to leave their homeplanet because it became too inhabitable. We returned to this part of the Galaxy recently to discover that nothing had changed. Thus our leader Zenon proposed a bold initiative: to form an organization tasked with organizing the Elemi and Bujin under one ideal: to restore our home planet to our further glory. The council's first order of business was to construct a space station to orbit our Homeworld. The majority of the Elemi became part of the Homeworld Reorganization Effort. The remaining Elemi went to live their lives on other planets on their own terms, for reasons unique to each individual"
If Cryonia was in the least intimated by the smile Rukia was giving her, or by anything else going on in the room, then she was not showing it. Cryonia could make it very hard for other people to read her if she wanted to. Of course, she was more then willing to display how she felt if the situation called for it.
"I didn't intend on revealing my true identity here today. It's a little early, but I wasn't planning on keeping it quiet for too much longer anyway. So allow me to reintroduce myself. I am Cryonia Arlumia, one of the 10 council members of the HWRE. Along with the other 9, I make decisions regarding everyone in our organization, and I hold dominion over HOME, the space station orbiting our home planet. I didn't come here to ask for currency, for I have no need of such a thing. The Council has absolute loyalty from everyone ranked below them. I'm more interested in the technology that this company possesses, and information. Anything and anyone that will bring us closer to restoring our Homeworld back to its former glory. I don't expect you to help us for free: the terms are negotiable. If you are willing to help, or have anyone on your payroll who can help, then you'll be properly compensated."
Cryonia kept her focus entirely on Rukia, watch and gageing every little reaction the new CC CEO gave to what she had just said. It was a bit of a gamble revealing her true identity for quite a few reasons. Although Duvainel had given her little choice in the matter. If the pink haired girl had stacked the deck so that Rukia would be inclined to turn her away, then Cryonia's best option was to create a situation where she couldn't be turned away so easily. It was one thing to completely dismiss someone who was less powerful with her. With the knowledge that Cryonia controlled the lives of many individuals changed the situation in general. Of course this all could have been brought about by Duvainel just casually bringing her up in a conversation. But Cryonia knew her better. This whole thing was likely yet another osteoclasts she had decided to thrown her way. It wasn't that easy to completely outmaneuver Cryonia completely though.
If there was anything in the world which could be pleasant to have, this was it. Not only was it an advantage against someone unsuspecting, but it was also a tell on what someone might be planning, or simply knowledge that they lacked.
Her guest's surprise at hearing that she was somewhat familiar with the girl, could have possibly be both. She was aware of any possible ill-intent, and it had confirmed for herself that these two really weren't on good terms.
Rather peculiar, seeing as how her pinkette friend was one of the nicest people she knew. Had it not also been for that intellectual charm, that friendliness would surely have contrasted against her own morals. Something which although wasn't new to her, would certainly have been a disappointment. She didn't need too much humanity.
If her guest was angered at this information she had shared, it wasn't something she could really tell. Having something to hide, and doing what it took not to show it, was one which wasn't difficult to do, using her own experiences as a reference. Her behavior in school was different than what she showed outside of it.
But masks could be broken, or at least show some sign of a tell. There was no fidgeting movements from the other girl, from what she was seeing, nor any visible annoyance, when she had chosen to prop her chin up with her hand.
An action which wasn't really a test, although could have easily served as a good measurement on whether or not this proposal was worth pursuing. She still wasn't quite convinced it was really in her interest to accept.
While there was potential to enslave what Elemis were left, out of those interested in really being on their own planet, there was the obvious issue of having to use force. Nothing that she would mind, but the same couldn't be said for the girl in front of her, who was pretty much working in what sounded like giving them a happy life.
At least, excluding what sounded like gathering up Elemis, and putting them on this nonexistent planet. Plans she would hide for herself, assuming that she decided to agree. To take away hope of other lives, was a capability that could be their downfall. A power which many could only dream of having for themselves, that she had possessed.
The sudden smirk on her guest's face, wasn't one that she had missed. Whatever was on the girl's mind, she was clearly proud of it. Though for just how long exactly, was what she was wondering. She didn't agree to something without both good reason and her own interest in it. But her cousin was also a strong influence on her decisions as well.
While she doubted her guest would really admit it at the moment, it should have been obvious that the red-head was listening, from her earlier commentary. Multitasking between listening and whatever the girl was looking at on her phone, wasn't something she knew her cousin struggled with. There was also her two other minions as backup.
Shy things who comforted each other, planning and talking about everything that was good about the world. An attitude they managed to keep, despite being under certain factors, or witnessing things that should have broken their spirit.
"I assure you my decisions aren't without reason."
Her response wasn't meant to be comfort, but rather what she considered to be spoken truth. It was always better to confirm things personally than to rely on information she had heard from someone else. Had this been in an environment which held the whereabouts of a so called legend, safety would be a concern for those who worked for her, but she would still seek out these supposed rumors. Experience was one of the things in the world which was best to have.
Beyond bringing up that she was aware of the girl because of her friend, there wasn't really much of a point in further mentioning the pinkette at the moment. Perhaps an opportunity would arise to mention that she was also working alongside the girl, but it was wiser to keep it on her mind for later use. It would be rather naive in the first place, or simply underestimating her business prospects, to think she wouldn't appreciate the pinkette's intellect.
Clearing her throat, her guest went onto explain more of why she was here, revealing more information she hadn't asked for herself, which was hardly something she opposed. Maybe if she had heard Elemis were silver-tongued from the pinkette hybrid, she would have equated the girl's reasons, to sounding like something which had been rehearsed.
Or even a convoluted and long but realistic story about her people's troubles. But she gave the benefit of the doubt when it came to these things. There was no reason she could see not to. The girl's reason for being here, seemed to be mostly dependent on her power with this position anyway, rather than something she would find more threatening.
Sitting in this chair and having to listen to something so long, like she had done earlier, she couldn't help but place her hands on the armrests of her chair. No matter how much people she killed, she still had humanity in her.
One which desired to spin around this chair, but could only be lived out in privacy. Second best into curbing such a feeling was later dismissing what had been said with a gesture of her hand, or something similarly nonchalant.
Because no matter what reasons the girl had to give her, and even if she did agree, surely the Elemi had to realize how much time what she was asking would take. Not only would a contract have to be drafted up by one of her workers, but the process into allowing such a loan, which was what was essentially being asked, had a certain process.
Certain amount of days would have to go by to have this seen as a proper relationship, even if it was agreed to. A report would have to written detailing it as such, and records would have to be filed for potential termination.
Tasks and devices which would have someone without power lying in fear. But she was more than just someone who was still in high school. More than human. A Vampire like herself had enough longevity to outlast many working here.
What stares and expressions she had displayed to the girl, and the interpretations it could hold from an outsider's perspective, was simply just that. Interpretations. They were truly nothing more than her own interest in the conversation. Nothing outraging as of yet, for sure, and it was really only reasoning which she appreciated.
Beyond that, she still didn't think she had seen or heard enough to make a decision. If anything the technology and information the girl was saying her people needed, gave indication on what the planet might have been like.
Hardly anything that she would call special, but was clearly developed enough if the girl managed to come here from what sounded like from space. It did amuse her however, that there were apparently nine others working for this prospect of bringing their people together. Even more so of the confidence that she was hearing right now.
"You're a pretty confident one, aren't you~"
Arms shifting from the chair to the table, and her body leaning slightly over, the tone in her voice had slipped into one resembling what would be expected from a succubus. Playful, but one that could easily move away from its interest.
"Are you really not concerned admitting you've been keeping secrets, could influence my decision?"
Or perhaps there was something on her guest's mind, that gave her what appeared to be a nothing to lose mindset. Something that might have been simple and what the girl would think would give an edge over her, but really wouldn't.
"If blackmail's the reason, than I think you've overlooked a part of earth's culture. In fact, I'm certain that you did~"
Leaning back into her chair, and glancing over to her minions, who no longer was busying themselves with their phones, her hands were held out in a way that clearly displayed that she would begin to count what was on her mind.
"Since you're being honest, I'll come out and tell you I'm only half interested at the moment. Your reasons are somewhat solid, but it sounds like you're underestimating the time it would take to process this loan."
She didn't doubt she would possibly hear that time wasn't an issue, as was always the case with these type of proposals, but it felt good anyway getting to talk down, even if these claim of hers would be countered.
"Everyone I associate with, are only around because I have interest in them. You're clearly from space, and I'm curious to hear what makes you think you're different from any other alien with a cause. Wouldn't you agree I could give myself a different title, if I owned a planet~"
The difference between her and most of those who came from space, was that while they were more likely to choose not to act accordingly to the laws, not being accustomed to them, she had only done so because of reasoning.
There was nothing beyond the hidden gems on this planet, who held much more power than her, which would stop her from destroying the city that she had grew up in. That was the kind of power she had right now at her disposal.
"Nothing but reason is keeping this city from standing, though it would be a waste you see, at choosing not to just pool from the resources around here. Which includes relationships I've established, and involves business with a certain pink-haired individual we both know."
If there was ever a time to reveal she had a deal with Duvainel, now was it. It wasn't a relationship that would go away anytime soon either, and it would be rather naive to think none of what was said here, she wouldn't tell of.
To have such a condition even propose, was laughable. When you had a position of power such as hers, not flaunting it and what went on, was something that surely only someone who had something to fear, wouldn't reveal of themselves.
Success was meant to be known. If her guest had anything she didn't want to share, then it was simply her own mistake for revealing such matters, on the assumption that it wouldn't leave the room. A rather naive mindset.
"I'll listen to your terms and what you have to offer, but I hope you're aware listening and agreeing are two different things. If you wish to gain my favor, I suggest accompanying me and those three away from here, to be more than just a passing memory~"
The nature of the negotiations had changed. Cryonia figured that she could go into this meeting and take her time with her interactions with the CEO. She wasn't going to be too rigid, but she wasn't going to be super relaxed either. A joke her or there at the right time would keep the environment light enough to avoid tension. She wanted things to flow very smoothly.
Fortunately, Cryonia was starting to get an idea on how Rukia's thought process went. Like her, Rukia was very good at keeping her composure. Although she either wasn't as used to hiding her emotions as she was, or Rukia didn't care if she displayed certain emotions. Heck, it was possible that what Rukia was displaying were deliberately actions to get Cryonia to react in certain ways. Emotional manipulation wasn't all that uncommon in these kind of situations.
Rukia was a very confident individual, that much was clear. She wasn't in the least bit worried about how things will turn out. From casually putting her arms on the armrest of her chair, to how she folded them on the table as she spoke to her. Her expressions and tone was very telling too. Her smirking and the strangely playful tone she was taking with her was a clear indication of how relaxed this individual was. She did not expect anything to go wrong at all, and was sure she would always be in control during her exchanges. Cryonia had experience in dealing with these kind of people, which made things easier for her. Cryonia let another small smirk spread across her features. She wasn't going to just sit down and let Rukia control the flow of things.
"It's confidence that is well earned over many years of hard work. I know that this is a feeling you yourself are familiar with as well. I'm not worried about the action of keeping secrets influencing the outcome of this exchange. Those who conduct diplomacy competently understand that there is some information that you can't tell the other party, even if they're both allies. No matter how good friends the HWRE is with another race, I wouldn't tell them the access codes to our defense grid. In this case, it was necessary for me to reveal one such secret. I'm not worried about being blackmailed by anyone on Earth. It's just that there are some off-world individuals who would jump at the chance to capture or kill me if given the opportunity. Which would put whatever planet I happen to be on in danger as well. The Galaxy has become more dangerous then ever recently. Be thankful you live on such an isolated planet. I'm also more then aware of how archaic Earth's legal procedures can be. It's why I've come to settle these loans as soon as possible."
Cryonia's head turned, sparing the other people in the room in glance. They were all fully paying attention now, and hadn't made another quip towards her. This was a good sign that things were going well. Her words were at least being taken seriously. Cryonia turned her head to to Rukia, her next words with with grim solemnity.
"You can't compare our cause to the ideals of the other races in the Galatic community. Our cause is driven by basic needs that we need, not want. I say this both from a moral perspective and a scientific perspective."
Cryonia placed her interlocked her fingers together, and moved her hands behind her back. She then slowly paced back and forth in front of Rukia's desk, her eyes shifting constantly to take in her surroundings.
"Losing one's home world is a depressingly common problem within the Galaxy. In the case of the Saiyans, it's happened multiple times. The most aggressive Saiyans conquer other planets and species. They claim its for the greater good, that they need to do it in order to survive. The truth is that all of them could live the way the Saiyan Alliance does and prosper. They fight other species not because they need to, but because they want to. It would be the same if you claimed a Planet and took control of it. The fact is that you wouldn't do it because you need to: you would do it because you want to. You and any of your allies could live comfortable lives with all the riches you possess. Our cause on the other hand is a necessity. I have scientific research that we've done to back up that claim."
Cryonia stopped pacing once she moved back to the center of Rukia's view, and turned her head to look at her again. She raised her left hand in front of her face held up 3 fingers.
"When we first arrived to this Galaxy, we had 3 choices we could make. The same holds true even to this day. The first option was to conquer a planet to make our own. All the habitable planets in this part of the Galaxy are owned by someone. Ethically it's against our code to commit genocide for the sake of our race. Even if we were as bloodthirsty as the most ruthless Saiyans and Herans, it would have meant our doom. The majority of the planets in the Galaxy are under the control of an organization of some kind. This means that invading one world would amount to declaring war on multiple species. While we have very capable warriors, we don't have the resources to fight a prolonged war against so many enemies. Unlike a more numerous race such as humans, we can't afford to lose thousands of people. The second option is the one you're already familiar with. Restoring our home world to its former glory. And the third option...."
Cryonia lowered each of her fingers as she checked off each of her points. When only one finger remained though, she lowered her hand to Rukia's desk and pressed her index finger against the surface. Cryonia then tapped it against the surface lightly, her gaze still studying Rukia.
"The third option being to assimilate with another species. It's a good idea in theory, since both we and our sister race the Bijou are capable of breeding with many of the Galaxy's inhabitants. While it's not a problem for an individual to live their life among another species, we determined that all of them were unsuitable for mass assimilation. They were all ruled out due to certain criteria that we put in place, such as incompatible cultural and belief systems, behavioral problems that would pose significant problems, and not being the dominant species of their home world. Going by that and the other criteria, we narrowed things down to 5 species."
She then raised her other hand, this time holding up all five fingers. She held it out in front of her, so that Rukia could only clearly see her blue eyes staring at her.
"The Brenchians are the race that currently rules the Planet Trade Organization. Directly allying ourselves with them would instantly give us access to many different worlds. But that also means becoming a part of a truly detestable organization. This also extended to the Wuxjings. While not as significant a player in Galactic events, they have been owned by various organizations at certain periods. Not to mention they have a society that is run by various ruling clans. Which is absolutely toxic to assimilate into. We then ruled out the Saiyans. Even the more peaceful ones end up getting into significant fights. The last thing the HWRE needs is to be in constant conflict. Not to mention our settlement on any Saiyan owned world would likely be short lived. Which leaves only two races."
Cryonia now only held two fingers up in front of her. A wry grin spread across Cryonia's face, with just a trace of the smirk that she had displayed earlier. It was the most expressive the ice Elemi towards the Vampire so far.
'In the end we determined that there are only two races in the Galaxy we could potentially assimilate with successfully. Despite their flaws, humanity rests on our list at number 2. Part of the reason I'm on this planet is to see if I can establish an embassy on this planet." You should feel proud of yourselves: you only for outranked by the Snakians. They're more stable then your race is, with their only major flaws being a genetic quirk that makes them distrustful towards a very select group of lifeforms, and the fact that it would effect our appearance drastically if we bred with them."
Cryonia lowered her hand, placing it on her hip and tilting her upper body to the right. The smile faded from her face, returning to its neutral state.
"Even in those cases, it's very unlikely that we will completely assimilate into another culture. There are still issues such as potential xenophobia that we would have to consider. It's a complicated issue that even the council disagrees on. And even if they did, Zenon would never agree to it. He's determined to see our home world restored. The council has never voted against a decision made by the council head since the HWRE was founded. In light of that and other conditions, assimilation with another species is unlikely to ever happen. As you can see, there's only one viable option left. I never wanted to be on the council initially, but I must do what has to be done for the sake of my race."
When Rukia brought up Duvainel again, she didn't react to it this time. At least not visibly anyway. This time she was prepared for the pink haired woman to come into the conversation. Then came a request that made Cryonia raise an eyebrow. Rukia wanted to take her to a discrete location, with those three employees of hers? No, they were more then just employees. Rukia wouldn't have specifically called them out to accompany her on this kind of transaction otherwise. Cryonia wasn't going to risk jeopardizing this meeting by refusing the invitation, but would see if she could get some more information about this location before they left.
"I'm more then willing to travel to a more suitable location, if that's what you require. We can discuss matters without worrying about being overhead if we go to somewhere more secure. May I ask as to where you wish me to accompany you to? I presume that would be your place of residence, although you've worded things rather vaguely."
Cryonia didn't know what to make of this invitation. This was something along the lines of a double bladed invitation. If Rukia just wanted to talk about business in a more private location, then this was an extremely good sign. That meant the CEO was going to take things seriously into consideration, since that would be going to a lot of trouble. On the other hand though, this could be potentially dangerous. Following someone blindly onto their own turf could give them a very distinct advantage. And advantage they could use for sinister purposes. Cryonia was willing to take that risk though. The mission was all that mattered, and she didn't have much to lose at this point in her life. And everything she had left were things that most people couldn't even hope to take from her.

It was what made society, whether in space or here on earth, all the more interesting. For those who inhabited earth like humans, she had expected them to quake at the kind of power she held for herself. Even those who were originally from space, like her Majin and Saiyan allies, knew that she was well above the kind of power they had combined.
But this girl was different. Much more like some of the guests she had in the past, who although seemed to be at least somewhat acquainted with earth, gave off the impression of being desensitized, to such displays of power.
Reactions she would equate to viewing it as child's play. It was disgusting and foolish. If the kind of power she held wasn't enough to have those like this girl, know where their place was, then what exactly kind of power would?
Nothing but reason was truly stopping her from taking one life of many in the world, and a life like that of someone from space, wouldn't mean much at all here on earth. It would go unnoticed, and what aspirations they had, like this restoration act, was a position another could have easily replaced. That was how the world had worked.
Life moved on, whether one was alive or not, with someone better coming along. She should have been seething in rage at the fact that there was no sign of any respect for her power, outside of what was being said, but even then, the tone was hardly something she appreciated. The reasoning, she could respect, but nothing that went beyond that.
There was a difference between what could have been however, and what was. She would have been seething in rage, if not for the kind of comfort her power brought. To be refined meant being gifted with certain tastes and manners.
Any displeasure of hers was to be found in her words and actions, which some would say spoke for themselves. All of the leaning, and anything else that could be seen as demeaning towards the other person, she now saw as some dissatisfaction, which might or might not be openly confirmed by her. With it however, was the desire for more.
When it came to arguing with someone, even tactfully, she found it difficult to gauge just how much interest she'd find in something. Especially when it came from someone who was apart of a species she had already met herself.
Nothing was really to be gained in her eyes, and possibly being able to pool from a resource, wasn't much of a leverage. Just like how the girl had essentially said she could find an offer elsewhere, so could she.
It was really only the benefit of not having to delay such things, that was coming from this proposal going on. Another smirk had came from the girl as she spoke of her reason for being confident, which fell in line with trust.
Certain things were better off being kept a secret, yes. But what information she had kept before revealing what her position actually was, had been the equivalent of withholding a name. Without the proper resources, like what Capsule Corp had, there wasn't much that could be done with such information. No control that could be taken from it.
These individuals who were being spoken of, mattered more to the girl, than to her. It brought questions with it as well, though asking about it would mean she cared about the situation. The response wasn't something that required her own input, and if anything, what had been said next caught more of her attention. Her idea of what her proposal was.
The very basic difference between a want and a need, was that you couldn't live without a need. However, the fact that it was being said this girl's own people, was above that of any other from space, she found to be naive.
For the most part, she was assuming this whole galactic community in space, was only able to record information of the most developed species who had a potential in exceeding power like that of humans. To say that there wasn't a group out there in a similar position to an Elemi was wrong, especially when considering a lack of resources.
Something which given the time and lack of assistance, this girl and her people would suffer the same fate. But seeing as how she was asking to hear input in the first place, her own could wait until things were finished.
It was certainly a turnabout from that talk about confidence. Having leaned back into her armchair, and the desk separating the two of them just enough, she watched as three fingers were held out. Something which would be rather insulting, had she still been leaning over. Space wasn't something to avoided without power, and they certainly didn't have the same level, as far as she could tell. That was one thing which she was highly sure was the case.
To ask for assistance the way this girl was, she couldn't really see anyone with power like hers doing. There was no shame that she could see from some of these revelations, which she wouldn't admit for herself without reason.
Didn't matter what kind of research was around that established it as fact, or what kind of leverage the other person had. She saw shame in admitting such personal things such as being envious of what someone else had for themselves.
This was the main difference she was hearing with their back and forth, along with being the reason she couldn't see taking the Elemi completely seriously. Whatever hardships and the like that led to the girl being put into the position that she was under, her spoken words had the kind of emotion that the girl's gaze contrasted with.
The kind of matters and motivation that weren't like her own, in that even humanity was something the Elemi was possibly on the verge of giving up for gains. Her legs were crossed over the other as the explanation had went on, and while she slightly doubted it was intentional, her guest seemed to have shown more excitement as she did go on.
Much more within the words, than the actual tone with it, which only her being lumped in against the Snakians, being the only other thing catching her attention. Whether or not the girl mistook her for a demon, or knew that she was a Vampire, the comparison was a lot alike the idea the girl's people were above any other galactic race out there.
Months ago, she had decided to take on researching other groups of species, and pitting herself against them. To say that a group of snake's only flaw was their distrust, was hardly something she would ever agree with.
Their reptilian bodies, without even trying, was like squeezing an orange. There was no exoskeleton or the like protecting them like a suit of armor. She didn't know any who had some kind of power greater than hers either.
If there was anyone who was going to prove whatever research this Elemi had done wrong, it was going to be her. Vampires would be the better race and more known than the Saiyans, if she could reach the goal she had in mind.
As the girl went on to finish, and she had added her relationship with Duvainel, no commentary had been directed to that partnership. Perhaps later in a more secluded place, but at the moment, it didn't seem to be likely.
"Eventually, yes. But after attending to a couple of errands~"
Since she wasn't interested in collecting more data on Elemis, the trip to the mansion might as well have been one she enjoyed at her leisure. This paperwork that the girl was proposing on drafting up, should have been finished by then.
Besides, it would possibly be the chance of establishing where her own morals were, without letting it slip any plans on taking groups of species like Kold Demons as prisoners of war. That kind of thing would be denied anyway.
"As for everything that you've said, even with all of the backing, I still disagree with the idea there's no species dealing with something similar to your plight. Who's to say one just didn't die off? I'd also appreciate as a Vampire, that Snakians aren't seen as having just one flaw, seeing as they're easily food."
Throughout the rest of the explanation the Elemi had, as well as her own responses, she hadn't given another glance at the three she asked to accompany her. Though she knew they hadn't left yet, if only because her ears would have picked up the door, and because her cousin wanted to use some of her funds in the first place. But they were done here.
"Finally. Ugh, that was so boring."
Having said what she meant to say, she had got up, collecting the profiles she had on the desk with her in hand. Her cousin wasted no time in commenting on the matter, even before she had looked over. The other two had stood up as well, though they stopped shortly, seeing as how the red-head had stood between her and their guest.
"Blah blah, my people needs help from Capsule Corp. Well I need a massage at the mall, so come ooon."[/color]
In that tone of hers, which some would say was spoiled, her cousin continued to admit her distaste, flapping her hands to mimic their chatter, before leaving the room. A quick exit, but one that emphasized the red-head's statement.
"Please don't mind her. Mayu and I thought you had some good points."
Bowing apologetically to the Elemi, the brunette had taken the younger red-head's hand, going after her cousin. Of course it would be these two who would agree to something. Politely or not, she couldn't tell. What they knew and what they didn't with their sheltered upbringing tended to differ. The only thing she knew for sure, was that most of the groups their guest listed off, was lost on them. She hadn't the slightest idea either, but it wouldn't be admitted.
"I hope it's been clear those three aren't Capsule Corp employees. The loud one's my cousin, Yui, while the other two are Asuka and Mayu. It's the other two who work for me, along with the others back at the mansion."
Walking out of her office after allowing the Elemi to go out first, the hallway leading downstairs to the lower floors, was a busy one. Her room might have been at the end of the hall, but there were still plenty of ones on the sides where it would have been just walls in any other building. These were sizable rooms, with most closed.
"Here. File these and get someone to draft up a contract between she and I. I want it delivered to my residence in a couple of hours."
Seeing a worker step out of a room, with a box of what looked like files, she had placed the portfolio ontop, not waiting for an answer. However they got the information about what went on in her office, wasn't a concern of hers.
Whether it was through her people back at the mansion, or through her intercom's connection, it was nothing which she would find surprising. What mattered was the pages of paperwork would be done, with some brief note of explanation.
If there was anything she was aware of when it came to legal affairs, is that unlike in TV drama, one couldn't really sign anything they couldn't understand. It was the equivalent of imprisoning someone who spoke a different language.
Her eyes still remained the crimson red, as they descended the different floors, before slowly receding back into it's brown shade, as they left the lobby with the other three. Something she saw was necessary, after so long.
"For once, you'll be the first guest I don't expect to spar with. Though do know I'm not one for answering what should be obvious."
Her resources extending beyond Capsule Corp was one of those.
Throughout most of the of the conversation, the only thing she could read off of Rukia herself was the confidence she was exuding. If she didn't know any better, she would have sworn that Rukia had been in a position all of her life. Or for a very substantial amount of time at the very least. She didn't seem pressured at all by running a company as large as Capsule Corp. The most useful thing Cryonia had gotten from the latest exchange was that Rukia's race were called Vampires. She was going to do some research on them later, although she was naturally going to ask Rukia some questions about her species as well. It was good to have multiple sources of information to compare.
"You do have a point. There is no doubt that other species have suffer a similar fate. It's been depressingly common lately actually: entire species have been forced to leave their home world for one reason or another. The difference between us and them though is that directly supporting any of them means picking a side. Most of the recent devastation is the result of wars. Different factions fighting for control over territory. Helping them isn't as simple as dealing with the current situation that my people are in. We're doing all we can against the devastation that has spread throughout our Galaxy. There's only so much we can do right now though. Some things are just beyond your own power to deal with."
Even more then the info that she got from Rukia was the reaction of the other people in the room, who turned out to be more then just simple employees. She was just about to address some of the issues that Rukia had brought up when one of them interrupted them. She disrespectfully called her plight boring before leaving the room. Her two companions were a bit more sympathetic. One of them was even quick to apologize for the other one' rude behavior before leaving. Nyx had turned her gaze towards them during the entIre exchange, although the old reaction she gave was to simply nod at the bow the girl had given her, before returning her attention back to Rukia. The loud one had annoyed a bit, although her opinion wasn't the one that ultimately mattered. So she decided to overlook it entirely. Cryonia chuckled as Rukia explained who they were to her. Now it made a bit more sense.
"Ah, family and close friends. No wonder she was so comfortable brazenly speaking her mind in your presence. I'm used to that kind of behavior on other worlds, but some other people you do business dealings with may not be as understanding. That kind of behavior might get you into trouble some day."
It turned out Rukia wanted to take her back to her residence. This made sense to the ice Elemi. This place was a public building, even though she was the CEO of the company. She had just recently gotten out in charge of this huge corporation, and probably hadn't had the time to fill in all the positions with people who were entirely loyal to her. Besides, her residence would be a more comfortable place to conduct these negotiations anyway.
Cryonia followed Rukia through the building, and watched as she arranged for the paperwork to be set up. Apparently it was going to take two hours just to send it over to the mansion. That alone was rather boggling for the Elemi. How did people on Earth get anything done? It was a wonder that they managed to produce fully functional spacecraft if it took this long just to set up a proper negotiation.
They soon met up with the cousin and the two close friends down in the lobby. Throughout the journey, Cryonia noted that Rukia's eyes changed color once got closer and closer to the exit. Most people didn't know that she was a vampire it seemed. It was useful information to store away: learning about her abilities and interactions with others was a good start to painting a picture for what life was life for her species.
"You're right on your intuition. Do most people you take back to your mansion want to challenge you to fights? I don't see you being the instigator towards those kind of battles. I intend on keeping my inquiries very on point. I'm only going to ask questions to things that are not plainly obvious."

How many texts had she sent out? How many photos did she swap through on both social media, and the catalogs of her favorite stores? Clearly she had been here far too long, if she was really choosing to think about this stuff.
They were supposed to be out doing something fun. Not sit in a room where the workers were so poorly trained, they weren't even offered snacks. Ugh. That was one of maaany she had on her list, to go and fix about this place.
It would certainly go and do it some good. Actually clicking her phone off for the moment, and not even glancing at the text that had been sent, as her phone made a few vibrations in her hands, her eyes had fixated on the two in front of her. Out of all of those she was allowed to make help of, these two were the easiest, and less annoying.
They didn't have the kind of energy miss hall monitor had, and didn't complain about being too tired. As if she really cared. They were only living in a place as nice as the mansion, because they were people meant to be used.
If she wanted to kick them out, all she had to do was go and find someone better. The thought of those two made her roll her eyes, but not as much as watching the two that she had considered 'better' than the rest of them.
They were supposed to be like what, close friends? With the way they kept sweet talking each other, she would have thought they were going out or something. 'It's okay, she's just-' blah blah blah, they hold each other, as the one with more confidence rubs the other's back. These two grew up in conservative households. So she was supposed to really believe the way these supported each other, that they didn't get remotely curious about things?
The only useful thing about watching these two, was knowing her cuz would just outright avoid talking about something they would all come to do. Now that was fun. The look on the Vampire's face, and her hesitance, so made her want to bring up all the times the girl questioned one of these guys. Not because she cared, but because she wanted to go and rub it in that the girl was still human. If anything, her control made her the boss.
All the boring stuff that came along with having a position like this, she could just get her cuz to explain. It was amazing she could stand talking so long about stuff like politics. Even with it involving space, she still couldn't help but be bored to tears listening to the two, half-heartedly or not. Yet somehow, her help was able to.
Not everything those shy things talked about, involved complimenting each other, or trying new things together. Even without her telling to, they still kept up with the conversation going on behind them, which was what her cuz managed to get right with these two and the rest of them. It couldn't be more obvious miss ice was gonna have to work for whatever she was asking. The moment this girl walked into the room, she knew there was nothing normal about her.
While she could appreciate that split ice queen look, what she saw of the girl's face had no hesitation. Frankly, if the girl's back and forth hadn't pissed her off, it would have been the lack of fear from the Vampire's presence.
This was what the brunette considered to be her best, and was a kind of power that made her nervous. Something that still left a feeling in the pit of her stomach, that she could easily be swatted away like some fly.
What exactly made this girl think that she was different? The fact that she could yap on as long as her cuz? Compared to her, the brunette was too soft, and as easily persuaded as the guys she talked into buying her things.
She was going to be the one to judge whether or not this offer would go through. They just needed to get out of here first. What chances she had seen to go and personally entertain herself through interrupting, she had stated the facts plain and simple. All of this business air was getting on her nerves, and this was likely not going to be the end of it today. Leaving the room after her take on what was going on, she stopped short around the corner.
Too far away to really hear anything, even knowing the door would still likely be open, but she could care less about what those two talked about alone. Counting the seconds in her head, she stepped out from the corner, stopping both the brunette and other red-head, making their bodies jolt from surprise. Least they weren't hugging each other.
"So what do you think?"
She was already walking away, her phone pulled out again, and thumb tapping away responding to messages she had missed. These two should have been smart enough to know this wouldn't stop her from listening.
"Lady Rukia seems happy, but I can understand if you're concerned."
"She was...hiding a few things from us...wasn't she?"
The brunette was the one to speak out first, and while she had only looked up to make sure she wasn't bumping into anything or anyone, it wasn't difficult to picture the girl's expression. Politely considerate and caring in a way that made her want to go and roll her eyes. Though the girl had pretty much agreed with her, which is what she wanted to hear. The red-head's response, for as long as it took to get out, went the same way. That she was right.
"Exactly. She's an alien or whatever, yeah, I get that. But talking to my cuz for a few hours, doesn't mean she can just get whatever from her. Especially when we know how much she can go on about expectations."
Stuff about how the brunette met people who kept wanting to go to this tower out in the boonies, and how they couldn't do that, because they weren't important enough. What had been preached to them, wasn't being followed.
There was a reason behind it, sure, but it wasn't something that was obvious to her. Though the two behind her muttered their agreement, she could care less. She said what she wanted, and heard what she had wanted.
Her steps echoed down the hallway, as they made their way down towards the lobby, raising the attention of a few workers, who must have mistook her for her Rukia. A glare was shot, and the men had carried on with whatever they were doing. If this was the control the other girl had on her employees, then the practices she taught were continuing to be put to use. Though it wasn't as obvious here, than it was back at the mansion where the others were.
The rest of the way down the lobby was boring, and one filled with the other two chattering, while she bided the time on her phone. While she was still able to attend to other business there with ease, it wasn't what her mind was on.
When those two upstairs got down here, she was planning on taking the whole group shopping for herself. The brunette should have gotten enough of a fill with being private, and all of that boring crap that would get them money, sure, but it didn't need to keep trying to set the mood. She wasn't supposed to be the only happy one about the girl getting a position that would set them for life. That was one of the things the Vampire seemed to be forgetting here.
The decision to look herself in the mirror, where she posed in a way that looked as if she wanted to tell a secret, was proof of how irritated she had gotten, seeing herself only sparsely being able to not hold a frown.
"It's my interest in learning of their styles, that it has grown to be expected. But I've come across so many hybrids, and have had only mild interest in watching two others back at the mansion, fight them for me, that these guests have become more of a chore than a privilege to study."
An issue that was relieved at the sight of the two they had been waiting on, with her cuz having gotten rid of her whole Vampire look, as they had walked out. Nothing which would normally be unusual, if not for her boredom showing an opportunity present. She strided up along the other side of the girl, as those two had started to talk.
"Look, I know you're used to not going vamp when we're outside, but maybe it'll do you some good once we hit the mall. I can't take all these guys for myself."
An arm was wrapped around the girl's neck, pulling her closer. The vampire's cheeks were flushed, and while there could have been any one number of reasons as to why, she knew the brunette enough to know she struck with all of them.
Only she was able to get away with talking down to the girl, and unlike those two friends that kept away from all of this alien stuff, the way she normally acted made it more believable she meant what she said beyond practical things.
"If there's an opportunity to, I will, though you know it won't be without cause. Once they feel my presence, I'm sure it might prove difficult for you to attend to your usual."
Which wasn't as much of a problem as the girl was making it out to be. With the kind of pressure her cuz normally had, even without those red eyes, one stare would surely scare off any guy that got too clingy or ballsy with her.
She took her arm back as they came to the car she had helped the brunette with picking out. The color was nice enough for her to take a joyride if she had so wanted to, but had the kind of acceleration she knew the Vampire looked for.
Of course they could have easily flied there on their own, though it would be naive to catch her lugging around bags longer than it was necessary. If this chick had a problem with it though, it really wasn't going to matter.
"I'll take your word on not blabbing about the obvious, and assume you two can talk about something fun that won't put us to sleep. Like the kind of alien you are."
Her eyes fell onto the alien as she was handed the keys, and the others moved where they had wanted to sit. The vampire was standing aside for this consideration, as she had gone in, not wasting time in starting the thing up.
"With culture having been lost with past guests, the best of what she suggests would likely lie on differences of our two planets. I'm aware it might be unprecedented to have all of these measures in place for some races, but it's a matter that ensures agreements will carry out and not go awry."
The Vampire had chosen to take a seat in the back, while the red-head who she knew to actually be a natural one, sat in the passengers seat next to her. Unexpected, but at the same time, not really, knowing her friend was behind her.
They were already driving off as she rolled her eyes at the brunette's explanation.
