Maikeru, the Northern Kaioshin, walked with determined steps over the stone surface of his temple. His face filled with determination, he approached the center of the decorative construction. Surrounding him were the carved sculptures of past Kaioshins. Maikeru almost joined their ranks when he encountered Jarvis at the Check-In Station. His short life as a guardian of the universe almost had a short and abrupt end. If it was not for the intervention of his fellow gods Maikeru would be dead right now.
Still, a nagging feeling lingered within the blue peacekeeper. Jarvis, empowered by his Super Saiyan Rose transformation, should have easily dispatched the Northern Kaioshin into a splatter on the floor. Maikeru could sense that the aspiring god-king pulled his punch against him; only knocking Maikeru out instead of obliterating him.
The young Shinjin sat down on the smooth surface of his creation. The first thought that came to his mind was to prepare a pot of tea for himself; something to ease his nerves. A warm drink that soothed his insides while filling his nostrils with a sweet scent. But instead Maikeru let out a long sigh. His short experience with the Cerulean nightmare cracked any laid-back attitude the Shinjin had before. Maikeru knew that Jarvis, despite all of his great power, was only the tip of an iceberg to a much longer problem.
The grand universe that he and other Shinjin have been charged with attending was sick. There was a dark illness that blanketed all of creation that laid hidden; just hidden right behind sight. It was the dark and terrible void that stared back at you when you stare deep into the shadows. Maikeru, with his divine senses, could feel the corruption right beyond his fingertips. And for too long it has been unattended by the gods of light and creation. A single second was one second too many, but in this case how long had it really been?
A month?
A year?
Decades?
Centuries?
Maikeru, thinking these thoughts in his mind, felt determined to make a prognosis of the state of the universe. In order for a physician to determine the right cure, a proper prognosis must be reached. The Shinjin corrected his posture as he began to sit in a lotus position. Closing his eyes, he began to concentrate on the worlds that populated the vast reaches of creation.
Maikeru uses Dimensional Telepathy [Racial], Greater Wisdom [Racial] and Ki Sense [PT-3].
Earth
Cold North - A Frozen Forest
Maikeru’s eyes gazed upon a pair of females meeting one another in the snow-covered forest. It was a beautiful sight of nature that enveloped them. Each of them took note on how gorgeous the scenery was before one of them began to freeze from the overwhelming cold. Being generous and offering kindness had taken heart with the black haired woman. While the cold chill did not seem to have any effect on her, she offered to provide her new acquaintance with warmth and shelter.
A new friendship was possibly blooming in this winter wonderland. The Northern Kaioshin was glad to see that there were mortals that held on to kindness.
“Cryonia”, Maikeru whispered to himself. “She seems to have a good soul. I will have to keep an eye on her.”
Cold North - Mansion Courtyard
The Shinjin could feel a large and mighty power emanate from a gorgeously adorned courtyard. Focusing his divine sight past the flakes of snow that fell from the sky; Maikeru could see a young warrior wrapped deep in thought. The Northern Kaioshin could feel stress and sadness in this fighter’s heart only to be dashed away with the flexing of his great power. Lightning and static filled the air as the warrior tapped deep into his Saiyan powers with his hair wildly changing colors.
It was an amazing light-show only to abruptly end with the warrior acting depressed. Whatever internal limits he searched to surpass filled him with sadness of not reaching new heights. A common symptom to the Saiyan condition.
“Jie Shan, do not lose heart,” Maikeru spoke quietly as if the Elemi-Saiyan hybrid could hear him. “Stay true to your goals and you will succeed, master of lightning.”
Southern Islands
Maikeru’s gaze passed over various tropical islands of Earth. A strange pair of energies caught his attention and drew his vision towards a quiet installation. A pink female, Majin in origin, was being drawn by tendrils of purple energy that reached out in various directions. The source of the strange ki was a small, insect-like creature.
“What a strange meeting of fate,” the Northern Kaioshin noted before continuing his analysis of Earth.
Upper Atmosphere
The Northern Kaioshin watched as a proud half-Saiyan warrior known as Carva depart from Earth inside of his space ship. The fierce fighter was frustrated aboard his salvaged interstellar craft. Apparently the various system features the ship had were giving him and his assistant problems. The Supreme Kai of the North did overhear Carva mention heading towards the planet of Brench to chase after a war errupting.
“A war of Brench?” Maikeru’s eyebrow raised and his lips tensed. Any sign of war meant the impending deaths of many. The blue shinjin shifted his attention across the stars and towards the events unfolding on planet Brench.
Planet Brench
Low Orbit
A massive ship came barreling through an entire armada of Brench war fighters. The Brench defenders tried their best to try and harm the Saiyan mother ship that was on a direct path for the planet’s surface. But, within the fray, a single golden light continued to fly to every Brench warbird that veered too close to the Saiyan advancement.
Focusing his vision, Maikeru’s eyes could see that within the blazing aura was a Saiyan commander. Easily overhearing the whispers and praises of his comrades on the mother ship, Maikeru could assertain that this destroyer was known as Nasu, current King of the Saiyans. And with each swift movement, this Nasu kills more and more Brenchian soldiers aided by the cheers of his underlings.
On the ship watching Nasu’s onslaught, a female Saiyan of tall stature and black hair watched with fierce eyes. She scolded her men, ensuring their soldiers not to become too carried away with cheers before the battle is even won. Commanding a platoon of Saiyan warriors to follow her, Kinoko the Saiyan-Demon hybrid leaped out of the spacecraft and headed towards the surface of Brench. Apparently Nasu’s kingdom did not shy away from employing demonic fighters into their ranks.
On the surface below, as the Brenchian armies began to take formation to fend off the Saiyan attack, Maikeru could sense an uneasy presence among them. The young Kaioshin’s brow tightened as he tried to pierce the veil of darkness blanketed the Brenchian armies. Maikeru’s vision sharpened as he could feel something sinister.
The North Kaioshin clenched his teeth to try and find the source of the disturbance through the bloodshed and loss of life.
