Maikeru is wearing his Heavy Weighted Clothing, lowering his power level to 23,780.
Kaioshin of the East's Home Planet
The Kaioshin of the North appeared in a flash of light. After attempting to have an audience with the elusive Zen-Oh, King of All, Maikeru had another stop he needed to make. He needed to speak with his fellow Kaioshin about the growing crisis that is quickly festering on the stolen planet of Brench. Onato, Grand Kaioshin of Universe 6, informed the blue-skinned Shinjin that no one would really notice if Maikeru left his post for a century or two to embark on his journey. The idea of leaving Nasu and his thralled army of Saiyans unchecked did not sit well with the Northern Kaioshin; especially after sensing Nasu's god ki across the dimensions. The Saiyan tyrant needed to be dealt with and fast.
Maikeru walked along Mar's planet. It was a beautiful world much alike his own. A nagging sensation tingled at the back of Maikeru's neck. It feels like this divine station has been vacant. The young Shinjin knew that their planets in the Upper Worlds were quiet safe havens; but this planet felt unkempt and silent. It almost as if the Easter Kaioshin had not returned home in quite some time.
"Fellow kaioshin?" Maikeru shouted as he looked around curiously. "Are you here?"
Tomoroko could feel a light tug at her soul suddenly, almost as if something was going wrong. The dead saiyaness furrowed her eyebrows at the sensation, looking around herself at the walls of the palace of planet Saiya. There was no one around her, so that wasn't it... why did she feel this sudden sense of urgency? She closed her eyes for a moment, taking in a deep breath and focusing on that sensation.
There was no danger nearby, that hadn't been the source of the sensation... nothing was wrong per se, but the more she focused, the more she felt the need to return to Otherworld. She gave a light sigh before confronting that feeling and with a low *pop* Tomoroko seemed to blink out of existence, only to reappear within Mar's home on the sacred world of the Kais. She opened up her eyes once more, noting the letter she had left Mar still perched on top of his desk and huffed. Where was he? She knew he had been busy, but he hadn't been gone for this long before and honestly, the woman was starting to grow worried. She was supposed to be his guardian... what if something had happened to him? No... if that was the case then she would no doubt feel it.
She looked around the house only quickly before stepping outside, towards the source of that earlier strange feeling. There she found another Kai, one with blue tinted skin and white hair. She'd never met this one before, she wondered which quadrant of the universe he looked after?
"I'm sorry, Supreme Kai, but Mar's quite busy right now and isn't here, is there something I can help you with? My name is Tomoroko, I am the Guardian to the Eastern Supreme Kai, Mar." She called out and introduced herself as politely as she could. Manners weren't exactly something that ran in a saiyans blood, but she was slowly getting the hang of it.
The Northern Supreme Kai could feel the Saiyan guardian's returned presence on Mar's world. Hearing her voice, Maikeru turned to face the loyal attendant. The Shinjin smiled at meeting another friendly face. After approaching the female guardian, Maikeru nodded in respect to Tomoroko in light of her position.
"I appreciate your timely reception of me, East Guardian Tomoroko," the Northern Kaioshin spoke with light tone. "I was hoping to find your master and speak with him about the growing crisis on Planet---"
Before he could finish his statement, Maikeru spotted Tomoroko's tail swaying behind her. He was not expecting to see a Saiyan here of all places. But if Mar, another kaioshin, decided to take in a Saiyan under his wing then so be it. Maikeru was not one to question. He took a breath to recompose himself before continuing.
"---the growing crisis on Planet Brench. Mar's presence was sorely needed and his absence from the issue has begun to spin out of control. If the...problem... continues to grow at this rate, the universe will surely be in peril. I am looking for Mar's assistance in the matter, or perhaps your own, East Guardian Tomoroko."
"My master?" tomoroko asked with a raised eyebrow towards Maikeru's comment. She'd never once considered Mar her master, but she supposed in a sense he could be. Though she felt they were more just... friends than master and servant. She didn't like the sound of that and it showed on her face, even though she didn't say anything towards it.
"Ah... well Mar's been scrambling like a crazy Kai lately, the Eastern Galaxy isn't exactly the most quiet place right now. He's been looking after more of the immediate issues while I've been keeping an eye on things on planet Saiya." Tomoroko corrected the Kai when he spoke about planet Brench. Sure she didn't agree with what her son was doing, but what was done was done. The planet was claimed by him and his Kingdom, meaning it was now his until someone was able to claim it from him.
"Sorry I don't mean to be rude but... I don't think the situation is as out of control as you think it is. Sure Nasu's power hungry but I don't think he's as bad as threatening the universe. The more you target him and his Kingdom, the more he'll retaliate and that's where the problem is going to stem from. If he has no enemies to fight, then he wont want to rage war against any other races." Tomoroko rationalized, her tail swishing from one side to the other gently. She didn't sound mad or defensive, only sounding as if she was discussing an every day topic.
"If you have any suggestions of how I can help however, I'd be glad too. I don't stand much of a chance against him myself, I lost most of my powers the last time I went to the living world and confronted him."
"I apologize for my choice of words, Guardian Tomoroko," Maikeru said. "I did not mean to offend you by using the word master. I do not know the relationship between you and Mar and made a poor assump----"
The Supreme Kai of the the North stopped himself mid-sentence. Something specific about what the Eastern Guardian had said caught his attention.
"Wait," Maikeru gestured his hand to politely interrupt Tomoroko. His eyes narrowed. "I never told you the name Nasu. Don't tell me that you and Mar are actually aware of what has been happening; that you know of his terrible crimes and you chose to just leave him alone?"
Maikeru could remember Onato, the Grand Kaioshin of Universe 6, and his warnings ring in his mind.
"I wondered to myself why no one else showed up during his barbarity," Maikeru lowered his hand. He could feel his fingers beg him to tighten. "Nasu viciously attacked another civilization and took his rage out of countless innocent civilians. Even after I gave him a gracious offer, despite his vile nature, he spat in my face and beat me down. Kidnapped me. And used that insane changeling to invade my mind; forcibly ripping secrets of the Upper Worlds from my subconscious."
Maikeru slowly walked closer to Tomoroko.
"Even then neither you nor Mar thought it was important enough to intervene. Even Lord Lagerus only appeared after I had managed to escape; and when she did she did not punish him..."
"...She handed him the secrets to godhood. And now he is the most powerful mortal in the universe. Not only that, he has the Tree of Might in his possession. A world killing plant at his disposal. So Nasu, a Saiyan, who has discovered a new level of power and has met a new opponent, Lagerus. Do you really believe he will not do anything in his power to become stronger? To do anything or kill anyone necessary to become stronger? To attain more power?"
"And you think we should leave him alone?"
"No. The fire has already been started. We need to put it out before the flames burn all of creation."
Tomoroko just gave Maikeru an awkward grin as she brought her hand up to run the back of her neck as he paused as he stopped and questioned how it was she knew about Nasu. So far he just assumed that it was because she was Mar's guardian and they knew about the situation unfolding in their little corner of the universe. He didn't seem very happy about any of it, in fact it sounded like he was taking personal offense to Nasu's actions and the actions of those that followed him. Oh well this wasn't going to be a pleasant conversation at all.
"Of course we know about Nasu and what he's been doing, but there's nothing we could have done about it. Unfortunately, the universe is filled with people like him, people who would bring war to others on a whim, people who would enslave an entire other race solely for the actions of the past. It's not fair, and it's not right but unfortunately this is happening everywhere in the universe, not just in East Galaxy and not just with Nasu.
Nasu's always been... a true saiyan, for lack of a better term. He's always had a desire to conquer others, to face any challenge that came his way and train until he was able to over come it. Unfortunately that's been the plight of our race for a long time and hasn't exactly gone away when the Alliance was created" Tomoroko countered, hoping the Northern Kai would come to see reason. She didn't agree with Nasu's actions, what he did stood against everything she had tried to teach him, everything she had tried to raise him to be. She had fought so hard against people like him... and yet she knew that Nasu was not the saiyan Empire... he was better then that... she just had to get him to see that.
Whenever Maikeru started walking towards her, Tomoroko's hair stood on edge, a chill running down her spine as she stood her ground. Her eyes would narrow slightly, her footing changing only enough to indicate she was expecting him to come at her as he called both her and Mar out for not being there for the Brenchians when the NOrthern Supreme Kai thought that they should have been.
"What good would it have done the rest of the Eastern Galaxy if their Supreme Kai and his guardian had gotten themselves killed? In my case, erased from existence? I've fought a very long time against the old Saiyan Empire, I would have fought Nasu if I had the strength too. But I don't, and neither does Mar. He's doing more good by staying here than getting killed over something he has no power to control. We aren't strong enough to face him! There might only be one person left alive who stands a chance to face Nasu at this point... but, if people keep rushing in to face Nasu or any other evil in the galaxy half cocked, then any chance we might have at defeating him will die." She continued to counter, holding firmly against the god that approached her. The last thing she wanted was for her sons to be pitted against one another... but whereas Nasu was seen as evil, then Koma could be seen as good, if he had the right training...
Maikeru listened patiently to the East Guardians words.
"Do you believe it would be better to do nothing to stop evil just because of the risks?" Maikeru asked rhetorically. He was not expecting Tomoroko to answer that question. "I understand your concerns and your worries. The fact is, Guardian Tomoroko, is that we are the last line of defense for this universe. Such things like fear and inaction, elements that you may have seen or experienced in your living life, are meant for mortals only. The Lords of Other World cannot afford to ignore the issues of the living, especially when no one challenges such threats."
"I do not know if Mar shares my point of view," the blue-skinned Shinjin continued. "But with each day that passes that we choose not to do anything is another day we put innocent lives at risk. Strong enough or not, we cannot sit by any longer. The innocent souls of those murdered on Brench by Nasu and his minions call out to me and demand action."
The Northern Kaioshin came to a particular thought.
"You referred to the "plight" of the Saiyan race, the eternal drive to become stronger and overcome the challenges ahead." Maikeru pointed out. "You are a Saiyan, aren't you not? Do you not share the same desire? Surely the Saiyan King becoming, what he called, a Saiyan God spark this primal desire in you to overcome and defeat him? If you have been aware of Nasu, why have you stayed your hand in preventing his path of darkness?" ________________________________
"What kind of last line of defense would we be if we were dead? We can't confront him head on, we just can't. I've been dealing with Nasu lately but I had to come back when I felt someone on Mar's world. I was worried it might be Lord Lagerus coming back." Tomoroko retorted to Maikeru's accusations. He was making it sound as if Tomoroko and Mar had been sitting on their asses doing nothing while the evils of their world had their way... That was far from the truth. It had taken the previous North Supreme Kai's death to bring her to Mar, and in her short time here Mar had lost an eye, Natto was erased from existence, Rukia and the Supreme Grand Kai dissapeared.... It didn't stop her, but it made the reality of what she was faced with that much more... real.
"We haven't been here doing nothing. I've been constantly back and forth from the living realm to the afterlife overseeing Komatsu's creation of the remnant alliance and Nasu's creation of the Saiyan Galactic Kingdom. I understand that we can only interfere to a certain degree but I think just my presence there will help shape them for the better. Nasu isn't unreasonable, and Komatsu will listen to me, He might honestly be our best chance against Nasu if things get out of hand." She defended, her tone shifting now as she was clearly being annoyed by the Supreme Kai but doing her best to maintain a level of respect. While she was stronger than Mar now, she was still no god. She understood their importance and why she should continue to respect them. Maikeru was just... making it a little hard on her.
"When I was alive, I was the second strongest saiyan in the Galaxy, of course I continually desire to get stronger for a multitude of reasons. I want to protect my living family, I want to protect Mar and all the Kai's, the galaxy, and for that I need to keep getting stronger! I'm going to keep trying to deter Nasu from turning into a full blown tyrant, but I wont fight him, I won't kill him. I've been trying his whole life to deter him from this path! Ever since he was a kid we knew, and we tried everything to put him on the right path..." Without directly admitting to Maikeru that she was Nasu's mother, her words would no doubt give him every indication. Natto and her literally tried everything they could to get Nasu to 'calm down' but failed... He'd gone off to conquer a world on his own, was constantly picking fights to grow stronger back in the day... it was like there was nothing out there that could quench that boys thirst for power.
The Northern Kaioshin listened patiently to the Eastern Guardian. He knew his passions for doing the right thing could be overwhelming to others; especially those who do not share the same point of view. Even Onato, the Grand Kaioshin of Universe 6 who had sacrificed his allies to defeat the demons of his dimension, thought Maikeru was too youthful and zealous for his own good.
Still, after hearing that Tomoroko was powerful in her own right did not relieve the blue-skinned Shinjin of his concern. The Saiyan having her attention on Planet Saiyan, even visiting often, started to paint a different kind of picture to Maikeru; one that did not sit well with him.
"You have been trying his whole life?" the North Supreme Kai asked after hearing her out. His eyebrow raised in suspicion. "That doesn't make any sense. Why would a guardian spend most of their time with one planet and especially with one Saiyan over so many yea---"
The gears of thought clicked in to place in his mind. Maikeru's brow furrowed and his jaw clenched.
She watched his expression sour rather quickly as he was putting the pieces as to her identity together. She sighed and crossed her arms as she looked at the Kai seriously.
"You clearly have it in saiyans regardless of who I am, so does it really matter? I suppose if you really want to know, then I am Nasu's mother. Before you go and say anything, trust me I understand the situation very, very well. " She clarified, staring at him coldly, daring him to judge her for simply being who she was. She'd never been like the other saiyans growing up, she had created the saiyan Alliance to try and show the saiyans a more peaceful way of life.
"I love my sons, but I don't agree with what he is doing. If you'll listen to me, then I have an idea to keep him under control. An idea that would give the Kai's a pretty powerful ally." Tomoroko told him just as harshly, doubting that Maikeru would bother to even hear her out now.

"This isn't about Saiyans," the Northern Kaioshin clarified. "This is about doing the right thing."
He had to take a breath to process what he had just heard, however. The Shinjin paced away from Tomoroko for a moment to organize his emotions. Clearly this situation was unfolding in ways he was not predicting.
"I will hear you out, East Guardian," Maikeru turned back towards her. "But you have to admit from an outsider's perspective, this looks terrible. Saiyan or not, he is a tyrant with mad aspirations with power aided by a legion of blind and loyal followers. One, who has done terrible and irredeemable actions, that has been granted pardon and pass at every step by the very kai who has turned a blind eye to the situation. A kai who keeps his mother not only as his guardian but as his council and closest ally. A mother who is telling me to stay my hand in light of Nasu performing genocide and enslaving another planet? And, to top it all off, is handed the secrets to divine power by Lord Lagerus despite his deeds?"
"Do you really believe my frustration at this situation is unjustified?"
Tomoroko sighed as Maikeru went on to say that he wanted to do the right thing. Did he really think they weren't doing anything? When he turned to walk away, thinking things over to himself she clenched her fist and closed her eyse for a moment, taking in a breath to calm herself.
"Mar and I aren't sitting idly by, we're just apparently not acting the way you want us too. I'm not letting Mar step foot on planet Saiya for obvious reasons, he's got other important matters to deal with. I have been going between planet Saiya and planet Namek to guide both of my sons as best I can... Komatsu, who is now the leader of the Remnant Alliance, is hell bent on doing good. He's stated he won't go after Nasu as long as he continues to leave them alone, however… as much as I don’t want to bit my kids against one another, I think we can use Komatsu against Nasu. Honestly, Komatsu’s showing just as much power as Nasu so I don’t doubt he’ll stand more than a chance against him, especially if we’re helping him. He could be like, a living guardian to the kai’s if you will. If Nasu keeps hitting a wall every time he tries to conquer another planet, then it may deter him from doing that and staying where he’s settled now.” Tomoroko tried to explain to Maikeru as seriously as she could. She hated the idea of pitting her sons against one another, but they were the perfect counter to one another… They were strong, insanely so, and if they had nothing or no one to expend that energy on then Nasu would just continue to expand his territory.
“What I’m suggesting… is for you guys to get in contact with Komatsu, you don’t have to worry about him like you do with Nasu. Leave Nasu to me for now, let me do things my way and hope for the best outcome.”
Her idea did have some weight to it. It didn't even occur to the Northern Kaioshin that Nasu had a brother, especially one who was as strong as the power-hungry tyrant. Still, as tempting the idea sounded to him, it didn't sit completely right with Maikeru.
"As much as I want to run off and see this..Komatsu..for myself," Maikeru noted to the East Guardian. "I am a bit hesitant on recruiting an entire army to counter Nasu's Saiyan Kingdom. Surely more innocent lives will be swallowed up by the two factions going to war with one another. And if Komatsu is about as strong as Nasu, as you implied, I fear for the worst. I've seen first hand how powerful Nasu is. He destroyed an entire fleet of Brenchian war ships by himself with little to no effort. If the two brothers did indeed battle each other, entire planetary systems would surely perish in their wake."
The Northern Kaioshin began to rub his chin in thought.
"Besides, Nasu has the power of the Super Saiyan God now," he continued. "Does your plan include forging another son of yours into a god?"
The young Shinjin sighed, "Well, I will have to meet this Komatsu and the Remnant Alliance before anything. Hopefully your second son will have more generosity when it comes to hospitality. I have questions of my own for a warrior as powerful as Nasu, especially one who is a Saiyan. Would it be possible to arrange a meeting?" ________________________________
"Koma won't agree to all out war with Nasu, his current philosophy is to try and avoid it if at all possible. That's not to say he's becoming a pacifist but he'd rather be the one to fight alone if he had too. I think that if Komatsu opposed Nasu, it would be just those two fighting one another, without their armies. If that means helping Komatsu become a Super Saiyan god as well, then isn't it worth it in the end? If mortals weren't meant to wield godly power, then why were they created with the capacity to do so?" Tomoroko asked, seeming to calm down now that Maikeru seemed to be hearing her out. He didn't jump at the opportunity that she presented but he was listening, and even toying with the idea to some degree. He agreed to at least meet with Komatsu, and that would be a good start in her opinion. She wasn't quite sure how Komatsu would react though... She hoped her son would behave...
"I can arrange a meeting, of course I can, I'll just need to grab another one of Mar's amulets to get down there again. You'll find Komatsu to be a lot different than his older brother, he's always been the gentler of the two... I"m guessing you'll want to talk to him sooner rather than later?" She asked, wondering if she should head down there right away or if she should wrap up her business on planet Saiya. She assumed however, that Maikeru would want to speak with him before she went back to Nasu considering he seemed to be very rushed to solve this problem. She sure hoped Nasu could sit still long enough for them to get their plan in action.
Maikeru turned his head and closed his eyes. His heart reached far and deep through the universe to feel out Nasu's raging energy. It was as if he soul was staring into a massive storm of red fire. It was exploding over and over again. It was a mess of chaotic light. The kai turned his attention back towards Tomoroko.
"Nasu's energy is overwhelming," Maikeru noted. "Surely you can feel it yourself from here; roaring across the cosmos. But right now his newfound power is pure chaos; unfocused and untamed. We cannot afford to give him the time he needs to master and sharpen his divine energies. I will head to Namek as soon as possible to meet with your son, Komatsu."
Maikeru prepared to teleport himself away before looking back at the Eastern Guardian with a empathetic stare.
"I cannot imagine how difficult this has been for you, Guardian Tomoroko," the blue-skinned Shin-jin admitted. "Seeing your family end up this way. It isn't a burden shared by many. I do not mean to sound heartless or cruel, so please do not take what I am about to say in poor taste. The love of a parent, as seen from countless species, can overcome any bounds; but...."
Maikeru sighed before continuing.
"...You have passed on from that life. Not only that, you have chosen to take up responsibility of guardian the East and your Kaioshin. You should start trying to wrap your mind around the fact that your family is much bigger now than just your living offspring. Other races, peoples, entire worlds now are a part of your family. Each one of them is unknowingly a child under your care."
"This is a large responsibility that you have taken upon yourself. But when the time comes to make the difficult decision, who will you choose to be? Tomoroko, the mother of Nasu and Komatsu? Or Tomoroko, Guardian of the East?"
"Just something to think over, East Guardian," the Northern Kaioshin said. "For now, I will see you soon on Namek. Kai, kai."
And in a flash of light, Maikeru disappeared from sight and Mar's planet.
