Tomina was waiting by the front doors of her mansion, tapping her foot impatiently. She had told Carva to show up at her mansion for some additional gravity training. This was the first time she would encounter him since that incident at the palace. He and Kinoko had both lost control of their transformations, and Tarro nearly died because of it. In hindsight, she was partially to blame for what had happened.
I thought the Queen would have had control over her form by now. But I encouraged Carva to meet with her, and that’s when things got out of control.Their powers got the better of both of them at the same time. At least it won’t happen again. Not on my watch anyway.
Tomina had managed to obtain a new form of power herself, with the assistance of Ash. Not that she would ever admit that part out loud though. She didn't want Ash taking any of the credit for her accomplishment. Still, thanks to the androids help, she was one step closer to her goals. She planned on climbing a few more steps in the near future, but for now she would satisfy herself with training Carva.
As Carva walked amongst the Brenchian Slaves, he didn't speak to them. He barely acknowledged them, his hands swinging at his sides as he strode. There was an aire of pride emanating from the young hybrid, the pride held only by those of the elite class. He knew that it was true...he could destroy each and everyone of them if he saw fit to do so. Today, however, he chose to allow them all to live. After all, if he killed them, who would build their palaces? Cook his food? Shine his shoes?
"I guess this is it..." he thought to himself as he stood before the gates of Tomina's new home, cameras focued on him. His dress was that common to an Elite Saiya-jin warrior, skintight black body suit underneath. His bodysuit was sleevless, boots a set of combat boots with red outline, as we his chest plate which proudly displayed the ensignia of the SGK, Four stripes for First Class. His black hair swayed in the wind as he stood before the gate, reaching out to buzz the intercom. "Lady Tomina, it is Carva. I've come to receive my training from you."
There was no sign of nerves showing in the warrior from Earth, his eyes steely like those of a lion about to stalk it's prey. This would be his first encounter with Tomina following the spar in the Palace with the Queen, and Carva full well expected a chewing out. Strangely, he was ready...because he almost liked it coming from her. Wc: 261

When Carva buzzed in and announced his arrival, Tomina opened the doors to find herself staring into the predatory gaze of her strongest student. He was displaying the insignia of the Kingdom in the center of his armor. Truly he had adapted to life on Saiyan. Tomina gazed back at him calmly, her ocean blue eyes staring directly into Carva’s gaze of steel. Then she turned and walked into the mansion, beckoning for him to follow her.
“Congratulations on acquiring that new power of yours. As I’m sure you’ve guessed by now, your path takes you down the road of the Legendary Super Saiyan. Nowthat you know where you’ll go, it’s time to advance you further on to new heights.”
Strangely enough, Tomina didn’t bring up the palace in the way one would expect her to. It was almost as if she was trying to avoid the subject altogether. Her demeanor was unusual, that was for sure. Carva would have plenty of time to think about it as the approached the steel door that led to the gravity chamber.
Carva had went from a vagabond warrior to a Saiya-jin Soldier, and his stock continued to rise within the Kingdom. He had everything. Experience, power, looks...he wasn't at all a low class fighter. His movements, even outside of battle were becoming more polished, more deliberate. If Tomina knew him as well as she thought she did, then she'd know that she didn't have to beckon long before he would follow.
He explained himself, his tardiness as he walked with Tomina, his long strides easily letting him catch up. "I recognize the fact that I am a bit late, Tomina. But I had to teach that...Tarro...a lesson." He said, the pride in his voice letting Tomina know that things had gone well. He had no idea how she felt about the other Saiya-jin...but there was a hint of jealousy in those dark eyes of his.
He spoke of his recent hike in power with great pride. "I am glad to know my place now, amongst others. I feel more powerful than ever...the first transformation, which I call Super Saiya-jin Devil, I can control pretty well now. However, my Transcended Super Saiya-jin Form is quite a bit more...complicated."
A thoughtful look came over him as the two headed toward the gravity chamber. His newest form had increased his rage everytime he'd used it, and had a tendency to cause collateral damage as evidenced by the incident at the Palace. He stopped, looking at Tomina with full confidence. "Perhaps you can help me to better control these powers? Because even if I do reach my Legendary Form...even I recognize that having no control over this power makes me a danger to my comrades."
For once, Carva had spoke with wisdom in front of Tomina. Had he really matured so much in such a short amount of time?Wc: 311 TWC: 571

Tomina glanced behind her at her student as he told her why he was late. Her expression, from what Carva could make out from this angle, was still very hard to read. One could only guess as to what was whirling about in her mind.
“I don''t care if he flashed you and called your mother a whore. When I call you, I expect you to come immediately. This will be my final warning to you on the matter. I am your superior officer, and my orders are to be obeyed immediately. Do I make myself clear?”
Through her cold gaze, the Saiyan hybrid saw what appeared to be jealousy in the eyes of her fellow hybrid comrade. Why was that there in his eyes? She thought he hated Tarro for interrupting the fight between him and the Queen. Clearly there was something else going on though. She intended to get to the bottom of it, whatever it was. Tomina opened the door to the gravity chamber and stepped into… the palace?!The room looked just like the place where Carva had clashed with the Queen. The gravity was considerably heavier though. Tomina walked to the far side of the room, her hands sliding down to her hips as she regarded Carva coldly.
“While I am pleased with your physical progress, your mental state needs work. To fix that, I have projected this room to recreate the fight you had with Queen Kinoko. You are indeed a danger to your comrades the way you are right now. Let's start with Tarro. Why did you feel the need to teach him a lesson when he made every right call to calm down the situation? Is it because he had the audacity to restrain you? Was your pride wounded by him? I need to know what possessed you to teach a lesson to a Saiyan the same rank as you. He did his duty as a Saiyan warrior, so why did you feel the need to punish him for his actions?”
Tomina slid one leg behind her, her upper body standing straight while she lent her knees. She raised her hand, curling her fingers back to convey a very clear “come at me”. It looked as though this training session was going to be rough.
He'd come to expect such hardness from Tomina, and wouldn't become downtrodden. Rather he'd smirk and continue to follow her, his nod confirming that he'd understood. "Understood. But that boy let's his mouth write checks that his ass can't cash. I will leave it at that, Mistress."
The Legendary hybrid felt the way he felt, and was too thick skulled to change that. So as he walked along with Tomina, in full Saiya-Jin regalia, he said nothing else. He simply let his mind become a blank slate as he'd done so many times before, training...toiling away for the sake of living up to the end game of his path. His mother. She'd never mentioned the Legendary Path to him as a child, but Rubega had raised him to live by the path. He was so cocky due to the fact that he knew what a bad ass he was capable of becoming. He was well on his way. As more Saiya-Jin than human, this pride was understandable.
As he stepped into the training room, the hybrid stopped dead in his tracks. He was a bit shocked at his surroundings and of course, the expression on his face spoke of this shock like it was written on him. He took a moment to take in the scenery before his dark eyes focused back on Tomina. "Same rank as I am or not, Tarro did have quite the audacity when he did what he did. That battle was between her majesty and I, and yes...it got carried away. But I was going toe to toe with her, move for move almost..." he grunted. "...plus, he commented in the proceeding battle..."no wonder Tomina chose you as a lover, you're good at being a little bitch. So I felt right in wanting to kick his ass."
She could still see the fire burning in his eyes. But she would notice something different as well. It seemed as if he was as cool as the Planet Bris. As she motioned him on, Carva raised his power as he took a more polished stance than Tomina had ever seen. Carva would swing his back leg forward and use it's strength to lunge forward with a hard left jab, right hand sparking with energy already as he would prepare his next attack, assuming this one hit. Tomina normally would have been amused by the shock that Carva displayed when he entered the gravity chamber. It also would have been funny for her to make a snide comment or two about how Tarro called him a bitch. Well, it was worth filing away to bring up when she was in the mood to jest. Right now she had to deal with Carva’s stubbornness. Which was usually a pain to deal with.
“Getting mad at Tarro for running his mouth when he can’t back it up is akin to the pot calling the kettle black, isn’t it? I do get why you got mad at Tarro for calling you a bitch though. You guys get all riled up when someone questions your manhood. Gotta prove that you’re an alpha male, yada yada yada, guy things. He probably saved your life in the palace though. If he hadn’t shown up, one of two things would have happened. Either you’d continue attacking Kinoko even after she was knocked out by Karota, or attacked Karota for interrupting the fight. Either way, you would have attacked a superior officer with the intent to seriously damage them. There would have been immediate consequences.”
Tomina noticed that Carva had a better fighting stance since the last time he fought. He also had a confidence about him that Tomina liked. He did have a little too much of it for her liking though. Sometimes she had to give her fellow hybrid a dose of reality.
“I find it hard believe that you challenged him to a fight simply for interrupting your battle with Kinoko. You knew that you had gotten out of hand and a I suspect a part of you knows that things would have turned out for the worst had he not restrained you. Is there another reason that you fought with him? He only insulted your masculinity once you two started fighting.”
Carva moved quickly and threw a jab at her with his left hand. Tomina responded so quickly that it was almost hard to tell that she moved. She simply shifted her left arm to the side and caught Carva’s fist with her outstretched hand. In that instant in which she blocked his attack, she threw out a palm thrust towards his nose. Tomina was using nothing but her upper body at the moment, and already she was forcing Carva to improvise if he wanted to avoid her counter attack.

Tomina fully blocks Carva’s attack, then throws out a basic 15% Melee strike (due to IN Martial Art Mastery) (Palm thrust). 45,193 DMG
The pain caused by the palm strike to his nose was quite substantial, a thud of bone hitting bone filling the room. His vision blurred a bit as he stumbled backwards, olefactory nerves stinging from the impact. He shook his head, tail twitching a bit. "Gotta say...you've gotten a bit stronger yourself." That instant was the perfect moment to strike Carva, especially since she'd blocked his simple hit. He didn't even seem surprised that she'd done so as easily as she did.
He cracked his neck, and seemed to hesitate a bit as she questioned him. His brown eyes focused on the sterile metal floor beneath his feet for a minute, narrowed in thought. <Why did I feel the need to teach him a lesson? Shit. Was it because she seemed to take more of a liking to him than me? I saw the way they looked at each other...maybe she respects him more than she does me, because of his lineage...> she could almost see a bit of sadness in his eyes as he thought about it. His own bloodline had seemed a curse, and he'd lost his temper with Tarro during the battle.
He growled low to himself, his thoughts taking mere seconds, but in real life? He hesitated. He seemed distant. His body was there but his mind seemed to be somewhere else. Guilt was showing on his face, but he tried to hide it though he cursed himself inwardly. <Damn that Tarro. I don't quite like him so much, but I did say that I wouldn't tattle on him...or at least I told him not to. Still, it was my own rule, and I broke it...damn it Carva. Maybe I deserve this beating...that's not me. I am a proud warrior, not a petulant child!>
<But the most simplistic answer? My first impression of Tarro...he looked down on me. As if his pure blood makes him better than me, some way. But crap...maybe he is...I did break my own rule, where's the honor in that?> Carva bit his lip, like a scolded teenager. Finally, he looked at Tomina and gave her what he believed to be the most honest answer he could find. "I made a rule as we began the battle that he not go crying to Nasu or Kinoko when I kicked his ass, first of all. I just broke that rule, and it's bothering me...I'm better than that...but..." his gaze now rested on the tapestries as his memories went back to the throne room, then the outskirts. "...he did seek me out after the throne room altercation, I suppose to "teach me some respect" as it were. Of course...being a hybrid, and I think you can understand this...I felt like I had everything to prove. I always have scratched and clawed for my entire life...trying to prove that I am just as good if not greater than any pure blood. It feels like I have to."
He blinked back a slight bit of tears and in that moment, he realized something. He was more of a mortal than he thought. Ash had that much right. But in front of his Sensei, he steeled himself and took that same stance. "Let's go, Tomina...I have to put these transgressions behind me and focus on the good of the squad."Wc: 568 SP: 3/3

“I’ve become quite a bit stronger since we’ve fought last. I’ve been training like I never have before, and I understand the triggers behind my transformations now. I’m only going to keep getting more powerful from here on out.”
Tomina listened as Carva told him about everything regarding the fight with Tarro. How he ended up in his fight with Tarro, how he had proven a promise that he had made with him. She waited for her hybrid ally was done talking before giving her own thoughts on the matter.
“That’s a promise you didn't need to make. He’s a true Saiyan: he isn’t going tohide behind others like a coward. You were looking down on him if you really thought he would do something like that. Breaking it made you look foolish as well. Some promises are meant to be broken, but that was the kind that shouldn’t have existed in the first place."
Tomina extends her hand outward, a yellow energy sphere forming in her hand. she still didn’t show any signs that she was going to move from the spot she was standing in. On Carva commenting on her understanding his position as a half-breed, Tomina nodded her head.
“I understand that more than anyone. It was worst for me then it was for you because I never even had a tail. I did train and took out my wrath on my tormentors. While they feared me after that, they still looked down on me. The only way to prove them wrong is by accomplishing feats of great worth. They can’t deny your skills then, even if they do still hate you. You were already stronger than Tarro, and beating him up probably hasn’t changed his mind about you. He’ll seek to surpass you, just as my tormentors always tried to catch up to me. All that fight proved was that you're stronger than him currently. You have yet to prove your worth Carva. The day will come when you'll get your chance to do so.”
Tomina simply threw the energy sphere at Carva to test his reflexes. He would have to prove to her that he truly would put all his frustrations towards Tarro aside as work as part of a team. That was something you couldn’t prove through words alone.

"Now that you mention it, nearly dying and being healed completely seems to have embellished my own strength. But fear not, Sensei. Your student knows that a warrior's training is never over. A warrior's learning never ends." At least it seemed as if Carva had matured a bit since their first encounters. He hadn't mentioned the deep, dark secret. The breakdown he'd had in his battle with Tarro. But at the time, it'd been as much a revalation to Carva than a breakdown.
Now be knew that his current state wouldn't be enough to lay a finger on Tomina, and the frustration in those dark brown pools showed. They showed a thoughtful Carva, as if his brain had become a processor. <She's string, I know that. But she's fast too, and no doubt has received the same formal training as Tarro. I'm confident in my skills, but even I recognize that there is a reason she is my squad leader. I can nary afford to drop my guard, because we are not meeting as friends...we are meeting as warriors. This is training...I don't expect her to go easy on me.>
"You're right. He wouldn't have gone whining to Nasu, because he's one tough son of a bitch. That being said I shall just have to chock that one up to learning experience." Carva knew that she was right. The Saiya-jin were a proud race, he himself knew it. He was more Saiya-jin than Earthling. In his veins flowed the blood of a warrior. He had to embrace it, use it to his advantage.
So as the ki blast headed toward Carva, he narrowed his brown eyes and braced himself. Those black slits soon became devoid of any pigmentation as his aura blazed with golden light, hair black and stark. “That’s the power of a Saiyan Zenkai. Unfortunately the benefits we get from them aren’t as potent as a full-blooded Saiyan’s Zenkai. It’s still a fairly significant power boost nevertheless, as you have found out for yourself.”
Things we're going well so far. Carva seemed to be understanding the mistakes he had made, and was taking steps towards correcting them. Only time would tell though. Tomina smirked as Carva powered through her energy ball. It slammed into her, exploding in her face. A cloud of smoke obscured her from view, but anyone could sense that her ki had just jumped in intensity. The smoke cleared to reveal one of Tomina’s more basic transformations. Only the end of her hair had turned red, and her eyes a shade of gold. She smirked over at Carva.
“I think that’s a fair enough handicap. Don’t forget Carva, I’m going to have to push you beyond your limits in order to make your stronger. Feel free to release as much power as you want, but in response I will release a corresponding amount comparable to your boosts.”
Tomina flew forward, using her momentum while attempting to knee Carva in the stomach. If this connected, he was likely going to be slammed against the wall of the chamber.

"If there's one thing I've learned following my battle with Tarro, it's that I am just as good as any pureblood. With proper training, I could be even better...great even. Zenkai or not." There was more of a serious tone this time mixed with a certain pride. This pride however was quite a bit different than the normal cockiness exhibited by Carva. His tone had a developing maturity about it and Tomina would be able to hear it. "You might say I'm a bit more career oriented, as opposed to species. Heh."
As his ki blast would strike and cancel out that of Tomina, something surprising would happen.
He would transform, quite effortless. His second form would see his hair flash a dark purple, eyes turning red. Carva's aura would blaze brightly and his knees would bend. He would take off like a jet toward Tomina. He neared his sensei quickly, not losing a step as he left a malefic purple jet stream behind him. As he neared Tomina, he'd fade out and leave an image for a split second before appearing to the side of Tomina.
His blood red eyes narrowed into demonic slits as his guard stayed up. The strange thing was, Carva was showing incredible control over this form. The demonic voice inside of him screamed at him to attack relentlessly, but his own warrior's sense kept him calm. Yes...there was pride in his eyes, but the childish cockiness was replaced with strategic movements as he began to circle Tomina. “We hybrids generally have more obstacles to climb. What we are won’t affect our rise in power, as long as you work hard enough to earn it.”
Tomina didn’t know how to feel about Carva’s current demeanor. On the one hand, he seemed to be less brash and cocky then before. At least in regards to thinking that he could possibly beat her. He was also saying a couple things that didn’t make much sense to her though.
All that was pushed to the back of her mind when Carva transformed once again. He avoided her attack, and was now rotating around her to make harder to track her movements. He was definitely using more indirect things then the last time they fought. Tomina closed her eyes, keeping track of him simply by sensing his energy.
“You hear voices? Who are they and what are they telling you?”
Tomina entered her Super Saiyan Crimson form, a swordof blue flames forming in her right hand. She thrust it outward towards where Carva was going to be. Energy readings from sensing did not lie.

A battle with Tomina was always a fierce encounter. Carva knew this and reveled in it, it kept that hot Saiya-jin blood simmering. His demeanor was changed indeed as he seemed less impulsive in his attacks and more thoughtful of what he was doing. The truth was, and he'd never admit it...Tarro had defeated him. He'd almost humbled the warrior, yet Carva maintained his Saiya-jin pride. "Forgive my rambling, Tomina. It's been a crazy few days following that incident in the Palace."
He still couldn't get over the fact of seeing this exact replica of the Palace. Everything, right down to the tapestries, right down to the curtains over what appeared to be faux windows...it was all the same. Carva could only surmise, that like Rensu, Tomina wanted to see his full strength in full force. "Allow me to comment on our surroundings. It would seem that you hold a great talent for design...but..." there was a slight silence as Carva circled Tomina...and he would answer her question with an admission. "...those voices...that voice? It is the voice of my Uncle Rubega. The one I have spoken of, who was abusive to me due to my lineage."
He sighed a bit, stopping before Tomina as he felt the power spike of the attack. He narrowed his eyes..."...it's...been going on since that machine...that freak...Ash, she did something to me. Which is why I don't like this form...she put some sort of toxin inside of me, I know it! She had to have!"
Surprisingly, as Tomina fired off her attack, Carva found himself once again dodging. His movement was fast...almost faster than the eye could see, definitely faster than a lower class would be able to see. Tomina's sharp eyes probably caught his movements, but it definitely caught a serious, conflicted demeanor in Carva. He closed his eyes, seemingly fighting something inside of himself...then, he shook his head. "This form is one of sheer corruption. Now this next form..." he finally gave her that signature smirk she knew and loved.. or hated.
With Tomina's energy sense still "feeling" him, she would feel would Tarro had felt. Carva would roar like a lion as the inner conflict would rage within him and outwardly, his hair would flash that familiar golden color. His muscles would buldge, his armor stretching to accommodate his increasing size...vein bulging from his forehead, his energy taking on the feeling of an endless reservoir of pure strength.

“Don’t ever make excuses for yourself! I don’t care if your uncle came back from the dead and killed your concubine: you’re always responsible for your actions! Apologize and nothing else! You’re a Saiyan, so responsibility for your mistakes! “I had a few strange days” Is no excuse for any mistake! Besides, making excuses makes you sound pathetic! Show more dignity then that!”
Tomina barked at Carva, folding her arms and looking at him crossly. She did not want to make a Saiyan who would blame their faults and shortcomings on other factors. If they never accepted their own mistakes, then they would never learn anything. Tomina folded her arms as Carva told her about his encounter with Ash.She frowned at the implications that Carva was giving her.
“From what I’ve gathered so far, Ash’s abilities only affect someone in the short term. She tried controlling me, but failed. I haven’t had any issues since then. However it is possible… no… likely that she’s hiding abilities that she doesn’t want us to know about. We’ll do some tests and see if anything comes up. Hopefully you’re just temporarily shaken by her abilities. It should go away with time, if she used the same trick she did on me.”
Tomina nodded approvingly as Carva entered the stage of his latest transformation. It was quite a fearsome sight to behold, and it had quite a bit of power behind it too.She hadn’t really had a chance to really look at it before, since she was doing all she could to calm down a dangerous situation.
“It’s been 8 years since I’ve seen this form. The third strongest Saiyan in the Empire used this transformation. Let’s see how much control you have over it. Come at me!”
Tomina just floated there, waiting to see what Carva would do. What kind of action would he take now that he had this legendary transformation? Hopefully you would be able to utilize it effectively against her.
