Celeste Moreal
<Aki Adagaki>
<Aki Adagaki>
Name: Celeste Moreal
Age: 18
Race: Human/Demon Hybrid (Demon Dominant)
Gender: Female
Universe: <only complete if you are creating a character for Universe 6>
Height: 5’3”
Weight: 108
Hair Color: Dark Blue, appears black in low light environments.
Eye Color: Dark Blue
Identifying Markers: Celeste lacks any identifying features that would be out of the ordinary, unless one would count her hair color as unordinary. Her eyes do glow an eerie orange when tapping into demonic energies, though.
Personality:
Celeste is a bit of a haughty girl. She’s never really played well with others, and has always been aggressive. She doesn’t usually make friends easily, as her general disdain and resting scowl tend to repel others, not allure them. Celeste is also a bit of a rebel, and isn’t afraid to stand up to authority. She has a hankering for Zeni, and isn’t above doing morally grey things to obtain it.
That’s not to say that Celeste is all bad. She’s not great at showing it, but she does care quite deeply for the few people that are either lucky enough or stupid enough to become one of her friends. Try and hurt her, and she’ll hurt you more. Try and hurt one of her pals, and she’ll kick the everliving shit out of you (or, at least she’ll make the attempt to).
She might be a bit guarded and cold, but Celeste does believe in helping others where you can. But, if someone doesn’t want to help themselves, then Celeste has no qualms about leave them to deal with their own problems. She’s willing to go the extra mile for most people who ask for her help, and she’ll do it without being asked. Later, she’ll refuse to admit she did anything to help, and pretend that she never knew about any problems the person she helped might have had. Afterall, she’s got a reputation as a cold punk to keep.
While she’s aware of her heritage as Human/Demon hybrid, she purposely keeps the secret to herself. She is lucky in that she looks entirely human, and prefers others to believe that.
Likes/Dislikes:
Celeste is no Saiyan, not even partially, but she’d be willing to wager that she loves battle just as much. To her, there’s nothing quite as exhilarating as the thrill of a good fight. She is of the belief that this is due to the influence of her demonic blood.
She also has a penchant for dark clothing. It doesn’t need to be black, as she’ll happily wear darker greys, greens, and blues, but any article of clothing that might be considered “bright” makes her either scoff or raise her lip in disgust.
Celeste is pretty greedy. She likes money, plain and simple. She’s willing to bend the rules to make some Zeni, but she does draw the line at the possibility of hurting or killing other people. The sheer idea of making a quick buck off of someone else's misfortune pisses her off.
Most would call it an irrational pet peeve, but easily excitable and generally happy go lucky people annoy Celeste. There’s a time and place for excitement, but it’s not anytime or anywhere.
Despite being haughty and a little stuck up herself, Celeste can’t stand anyone else who acts the same. Her first reaction is usually to ball her fists, and her second reaction is usually to call the person out on their behavior. Talk about hypocritical.
Aspirations: In all honesty, Celeste really just wants to grow stronger. She likes to help people, but she has no desire to jump into heroics like most martial artists. If she can protect herself and her family, and maybe make a little Zeni in exhibition matches, then Celeste will be satisfied.
Homeworld: Earth
Allegiance: None
Starting Planet: Earth
Appearance:
Celeste is a small and thin girl, but don’t let that fool you, she can pack quite a punch. She has long dark blue hair that appears to be black in darker environments. She usually keeps it either down completely, or tied up in a high ponytail. Her eyes are a deep shade of blue as well, but they glow orange when she taps into her demonic power, betraying her dual heritage she tries so hard to keep under wraps. Her skin is a creamy white, and clear of blemishes. Celeste wears little make up other than cover up. A solid ninety percent of the time, you’ll see a frown or scowl on her face.
Celeste’s wardrobe doesn’t vary all that much. She usually wears black combat boots, skin tight denim jeans that are blue in color, and a white t-shirt. She has a number of different jackets that she likes to wear with this combo: an olive green cargo jacket, a black leather jacket, and a dark grey windbreaker when the weather gets hectic. She’s most often seen wearing the leather jacket, as she thinks it compliments her hair better. However, Celeste avoids training in her casual clothes. Usually she’ll train and fight in something far less restrictive. She has a blue sports bra, black compression pants, and black running shoes for such purposes.
Backstory:
Celeste lives with her Human mother, Tracy Moreal, and human Step-Father, Dick Moreal. Together they run Moreal’s Urban City Diner, a small eatery in Satan City. At a young age, Celeste showed both talent and appreciation for fighting, though her parents never let her enroll in a school or under a master for it. Despite this, Celeste went out of her way to practice anyways, usually beating on bullies that were harassing others. Celeste has been expelled from several schools in Satan City for this very reason, and her parents think that it’s a miracle that she made it through Highschool without needing to transfer anywhere.
Before entering Highschool, Celeste’s parents told her the reason why they had refused to let her learn how to fight properly: she was the offspring of the union of a Human (her mother) and a Demon (her birth father). Her parents were very vague on the details, but when her mother was young, she lived out on the Southern Islands, where she met and had a tryst with a demon named Torr. The demon, who had been noted to be “very noble” by her mother, left as quickly as he came, unknowingly leaving behind a pregnant Tracy.
This twisted Celeste’s sense of self; she felt as if everything she’d ever known about herself was just… wrong. Going into Highschool, she became withdrawn and cold. The young Celeste that had been a hothead that tried to pick fights with bullies slowly disappeared, and was replaced with a young woman who was content to just mind her own business, and stay away from altercations that didn’t concern her. That being said, her impulsiveness and quick temper remained, and will become very apparent when someone tries to mess with her.

Roleplay Example:
It had been a slow day at the diner. Customers had trickled in at an incredibly lazy rate, and Celeste was sure that they’d only made a few hundred dollars for the day. When her mother told her that she could leave for the day, Celeste didn’t argue. She just grabbed her jacket, waved goodbye, and took off out the door.
A short few months ago, she would have had homework or some school project to work on. But her High School years were officially over, and she wasn’t quite sure what to make of that. It may have only lasted for four years, but Celeste felt as though she had attended Orange Star High for her entire life. Maybe that was because she’d never stayed at any other school for more than a year and a half. She didn’t know. As she traipsed the streets of Satan City at night, she decided that it wasn’t something she cared to dwell on. High School was over, and she wasn’t gonna mull about.
She had bigger things to worry about. Like her future. Celeste had no intention of running the diner after her parents, as much as they wanted her to. She’d lived a stationary life for eighteen years. Celeste could count on one hand the number of times she’d left Satan City. It was time for her to explore the world, maybe even the galaxy. What was out there? She wanted to know. She wanted to see it. Satan City was great, it was her home and it was full of wonderful people, but Celeste knew she’d go insane if she had to stick around much longer.
Namek. She’d always wanted to see Namek. The books said it had green skies and blue grass, and she wanted to know if that was true. Apparently it was a wild marvel, with none of the hubbub of the hi-tech cities that Earth had. Just simple living, in a beautiful place. She hoped it lived up to what she’d read, but it wasn’t like she’d ever know. She was probably doomed to live and die in this town, even if she didn’t want to.
Kami, that sucked.
But maybe it was for the better. Her parents needed her help in their stupid little diner. Then, of course, there was the matter of her heritage. If the Namekians ever found out she was half-Demon, they’d probably just boot her right off the planet. She’d never met a demonic creature herself. Didn’t want to. She’d heard all the stories about them and how they were evil and loved to terrorize and cause destruction. Likely, the Namekians would think the same of her, even though it wasn’t true.
At least on Earth, if her secret heritage were ever revealed, she’d be allowed to stay and live out her life. She’d probably be hated and ridiculed, as Earthlings were also no fan of Demons, but she wouldn’t be booted off of the planet. That was a plus.
To be fair though, she didn’t actually know if the Namekians would kick her off their planet. That was an assumption. Maybe she shouldn’t make those. She’d never met a Namekian either, and who was she to say what one would or wouldn’t do to her.
With a sigh and a shake of her head, Celeste tried to clear her head of all those thoughts. There were other things to focus on, like getting home and getting some sleep so that she could be well rested for the morning rush at the diner.
Traveling would have to come another day.
