"Well, being dead Super Saiyan 3 is going to be a lot easier for you to master since you kinds burn all of your life energy and the energy around you. I lost my power using that transformation so, be careful Corn~" The saiyaness warned as he mentionned Super Saiyan 3, though immediately leaped into action afterwards.
Tomoroko's fist collided with Cornatto's so intensely that the saiyaness' arm visibly shuddered. Her red energy hissed angrily as it clashed against Cornatto's as it was quickly being over taken by the stronger saiyans power. Well, Cornatto didn't know exactly how much weaker she had gotten, so he probably wasn't expecting her to still be able to fuel power into her attacks. She grinned widely before sticking her tongue out at Cornatto playfully just as her ki began to grow and burn more brightly. She took an airborn step forward as her super powered punch began to gain ground against Cornatto's Super God Fist.
"Don't think so~" She further teased him, and that was when Galen jumped into action with a rather shocking ability. Some sort of lightning shot forward to entrap Cornatto and hold him still. If Galen's attack was successful, then Tomoroko's Atomic Strike would sail through his Super God Fist and hit him directly in the ribs. It might not have done as much damage as she originally intended, but at least they could claim a hit. She quickly noted how a long drawn out battle with Cornatto would be bad, she felt her own body already weakened from the sudden use of her energy and wondered if Galen didn't feel just as exhausted? It was like Tomoroko just didn't have the same pool of energy she used too once upon a time.
WC: 293 > Stamina 0/3 > Note: Sorry for the short post... im exhausted... it's all I can do at the moment T.T
Galen’s power was indeed nothing to laugh at and honestly nothing less than what Cornatto expected from his number one student, although he had never seen this form before. It seemed to resemble the first stage of the Super Saiyan transformation although it appeared that it took a more significant toll on the man’s emotions than the legendary warrior of the Saiyan race.
It was curious how there was such a difference between the Saiyans and Humans, given the fact that most Humans were far more docile and quiet than any other Saiyan out there. Galen himself had unleashed an incredible power that had even surpassed Tomoroko’s-- which, by any chance, though, it was still admirable.
“Super High Tension, huh? Man, that sounds cool! Haha, alright then! Come at me with all your anger!” - exclaimed the man, evidently, in a mocking tone, he knew that anger made people stronger and right now, Galen was feeding off his emotions to increase his power-- or well, that’s what he thought anyway! It looked pretty fancy for a transformation with his bright, violet aura.
Speaking of transformations, just like Tomoroko had mentioned, Super Saiyan Three was apparently supposed not to have as big of a toll on your stamina as it would if he were in the living realm. He didn’t quite get it, but he guessed it had to do something with the fact that he was dead at the moment, either way, though, he was glad to hear that! He was probably going to have an easier time at the moment to reach the transformation and master it without further issues, possibly in the shortest time possible, Cornatto was genuinely excited to have arrived that far after all!
Not to mention the fact that he believed he had grasped the feeling of the Super Saiyan Three power previously against Yamcha, he didn’t precisely power up or anything, but the moment he reached out to finalize his Super Saiyan Two form. He sensed something further down within his spirit but he couldn’t quite comprehend it; he had just barely felt it for that short moment that he had unleashed his full power. His best guess was that he wasn’t strong enough just yet to access such an incredible power, but he was set to do his best and become even stronger than that!
“Really? Alright, I will be careful… thanks, Tomo!”
The time for chatting was long over, though since the moment that both warriors charged at Cornatto and aimed to hit him. It was apparent that it wasn’t certainly going to be noticeable; Cornatto was far stronger than both their powers combined even in his Super Saiyan form, and he hadn’t yet tapped into the second stage of the legendary transformation. Although he could also see that the two weren’t too bad individually, their raw power wasn’t going to be enough to penetrate through the Earthling Saiyan’s powerful defense.
Galen’s first attack was relatively easy to dodge while Tomoroko came in, charging with her Atomic Strike but Cornatto quickly responded with the same technique that Galen used; one of the physical signature attacks of the Turtle School, the Super God Fist! A faint, golden aura sparked within his fist as he clashed attacks with Tomoroko. At first, it was pretty evident that the Earthling Saiyan’s had a lot more power behind it and had easily overpowered the Saiyaness’.
“You have power, but you lack finesse! C’mon, I know you can hit me better than this!”
As the two Saiyans’ fists clashed, though, the Earthling Saiyan quirked an eyebrow at the expression of the lady and while it looked like she felt the man’s power. She also poured more power into her technique and managed to power it up about the same level of the Turtle Hermit’s power-- no, beyond!
Although, shortly after, the Human had adverted the trajectory and got behind the Martial Artist, needless to say that the Saiyan hadn’t noticed him as he had brought his attention towards the other Saiyan but it was only a moment later that he had finally realized it was too late. As soon as he heard him scream, he snapped and tried to turn around and intercept him but immediately felt an enormous, stinging sensation as the brown-haired male stunned him using the Thunder Shock Surprise.
Cornatto was then locked in a cage of bright energy, although his entire being seemed to be shocked-- not emotionally, literally he felt as if he had just gotten thunderstruck. It didn’t hurt, but his nerves could still pick up on a buzzing feeling, and it wasn’t weak-- it was quite powerful. The man grit his teeth and arched his back ever so slightly so that he could both try to put aside the feeling and power up so that he could break the barrier.
“Aagck--... gcth!!”
As if that wasn’t enough, the power that Tomoroko had first poured into her technique quickly powered up her Atomic Strike and easily got through his Super God Fist and landed a hit in his ribs, causing Cornatto to reel back inside the barrier and force his jaw open to grasp for air. “Man… To think that he would have used this… I hadn’t expected this at all! Hehe. A good way to try and close the gap-- they may be a stupendous team, after all! I’m gettin’ excited!”
But he only collapsed for a moment before he got a hold of himself and put his muscles to work and tried to make his way out of the barrier.
“Hehe. You got me there, Tomo! But, you two will need to do more than that!”
The man clenched both his fists tightly and snarled, fighting back against the Thunder Shock Surprise’s power-- if the two had anything left to throw at Cornatto, they’d likely want to hurry up; the power output from Galen was only as much as he could muster up and Cornatto still had one transformation left to use.

King Kai walked out of his house and scratched his cheek with his index finger. "So... You are already training. That's pretty interesting. And oh! The boy also arrived. Well... I would usually take my time, but the times are quite dire, so I will just skip the lollygagging and tell you both this." he paused and raised the very same finger, as if he wanted them to pay attention to one explanation. "You can further empower your forms by doing one thing I will try to explain inside your minds." and feeling the need to justify, he stared at Tomoroko and sighed. "And there's just no way I'm teaching you this after what your husband did, doesn't matter the fact you are Mayuri-sama's guardian." and his tone was quite stern.
"So, Cornatto, Galen... You should try to increase your power by a heartbeat, burning your stamina to increase the power output by increase the power of your body and not your ki. This is a technique called the Kaioken! Now try to do it!" he explained, cracking a subtle smile.
Cornatto focused all his attention onto Tomoroko and that was his mistake, because Galen was a student of the turtle arts and he had the perfect technique on his arsenal to make his Master vulnerable and so he did when he used the Thunder Shock Surprise, completely paralyzing Cornatto, giving Tomoroko the perfect opportunity to get pass his deadly Super God Fist and nail a powerful strike to his guts. Galen scoffed in as much satisfaction as he could display due to his enraged state, but the strike wasn’t nearly enough to take him out or to even damage him properly and that frustrated the human, who was doing his very best to keep him in a vulnerable position.
”Dammit! She couldn’t end the fight!” he cursed inside his own mind and now he was feeling the pressure coming from Cornatto’s aura, slowly but steadily overwhelming his own ki energy. He was about to break from the Thunder Shock Surprise at any second and from the looks of it, Tomoroko was way too tired to do anything that could change this tide. His mind was racing like crazy and his heart was also beating fast and he made a decision: Galen let go of his technique and leaped backwards to put some more distance between him and Cornatto, hoping he could be able to catch his breath; using that technique cost him a lot of stamina, but he wasn’t exhausted yet.
But before he could proceed with his fighting, a small, chubby creature came out of the house and Galen stared at him in surprise. From the looks of it, he seemed to be this King Kai they told him about and, honestly, he was underwhelming, with an energy signature way too low, but Galen knew it better than to judge a book by its covers and when he spoke to them, he didn’t fail to notice the “times are quite dire” thing. ”Does it have something to do with Jarvis and the Tree of Might?” that was a logical conclusion indeed, but still oblivious to the human, the stakes were much higher than the fate of only the Earth and almost as if he was feeling that, he sensed some dreadful shivers running down his spine and he gulped.
However, what King Kai told them was quite interesting: a way to further increase their power and apparently Tomoroko wasn’t allowed to learn it because of something her husband did. Galen didn’t pay much attention to that because honestly he knew almost nothing about the Saiyan Alliance and its past. He just nodded to the shinjin, unable to be polite as he was because of the Super High Tension, but when he spoke to his mind, King Kai also allowed them to understand the “feeling” they needed in order to use that technique, and Galen nodded again. ”I think I get it!” and with that in mind, he closed his eyes and focused all of his mind and soul onto his heart.
The human increased the rate of the beat and empowered it with his own ki energy, pumping some power onto his muscles and they bumped for a moment and he could feel almost like his blood was burning now. ”I… Yes! I feel it! Kaioken!” he roared as his aura turned from fuchsia to bright crimson red.
[Super High Tension Kaioken. PL: 4,342,954]
”AAAAHHHHHH!!! Incredible!” he exclaimed as his energy signature increased considerably. Without further delay, Galen, feeling extra confident, dashed forward and prepared to try and throw a knee strike at Cornatto’s back, feeling the thrill of the fight.
Tomoroko wasn't out of breath after using all of her energy so quickly, but she was definitely feeling the strain that it was already putting on her body. She'd been training alone for so long, it was completely different to be up against a stronger opponent again. The last real fight she had was her 1 v 1 against Nasu and they had been pretty on par back then... now though everyone was leagues above her and it was so frustrating!
When she was with Natto she pushed every fiber of her being to become the best, to push herself to become better and keep up with Natto, but no matter what she did she was always behind him. That she didn't mind, because he was always there to inspire her to be better. Without him though... she didn't have that motivation, that drive to improve... Her new task of being Mayuri's Guardian indeed gave her a purpose but... she still wasn't over him, over what happened.
"Hah, got ya" He laughed out victoriously as her Atomic strike exploded against cornatto, and Galen's own attack stunned him in place. She masked the emotional turmoil with a large smirk as she then placed her hands on her hips in a confident manner as Cornatto struggled to get free. That's when she heard the familiar voice of King Kai and she turned around to look at the short, chubby blue kai. She offered him up a kinder smile than the smirk she had given Cornatto as she turned to face him.
"King Kai! Yeah... sorry! I got a little over excited that they were here so we kinda just went ahead and started training before even thinking about it!" She said with an innocent chuckle that quickly faded away whenever King Kai bluntly reminded her that he wouldn't train her, and went on to say that it was because of Natto this time. Her smile faded all together and she clenched her fist tightly as she looked King Kai squarely in the eyes.
"Come on King Kai! I've come up with some much better jokes since the last time I was here! And Natto... I told him not to do it! Trust me I know the consequences of the Kaioken technique! If anyone knows how to use it within it's limits it would be me! Please King Kai! How am I supposed to guard the Supreme Kai's as weak as I am!" She protested to his words, trying not to show any signs of being aggressive towards him... though the clenched fist and the tight jaw were a definite sign. She didn't think King Kai realized how deeply he had wounded her just then, bringing up her mate in such a forward fashion without the slightest bit of care in his words...
The man gritted his teeth together and braced himself; his body got tense as he had begun to emanate a powerful aura; it was compelling, and while the barrier’s power was still trying to overwhelm it. He was gradually snapping out of it, but Galen had different plans it seemed as the man lifted up the barrier and moved away. Cornatto let out a sigh of relief and looked down at his body; he didn’t suffer the minimal damage other than Tomoroko’s punch which still hurt a bit but other than that, he was ready to keep fighting!
“Hehe! That was a smart move, Galen, but it wouldn’t have lasted too long! Next time you use the Thunder Shock Surprise, make sure your teammate is charging a big attack, else it won’t work as good as it could!”
The man’s statement was quickly followed by a shiny, bright golden aura that sparkled around the Saiyan’s muscular form. The man clenched both his fists tightly and lowered them to his hips as he screamed at the top of his lungs and prepared himself to power up his Ki until Kaio-sama finally stepped out of his house. The man’s aura quickly fainted as he heard his voice and his gaze shifted towards the blue-skinned entity and cracked a smile. Finally! He hadn’t even noticed the time that had passed while the three were training, he had admittedly gotten himself a little bit too involved in the fight but somewhat subdued it when Kaio-sama arrived.
“Yeah! Tomoroko joined us, so we went for a little bout! Hahaha!” - the man exclaimed and also nodded when he took note of Galen’s presence. Thankfully, the brown-haired male arrived and quickly got into the fight despite his current feelings, Corn hoped he’d be able to put them aside because he could somewhat understand him, but Corn hadn’t ever felt like Galen did at all. But, he could still imagine it.
Though, what made him curious was the fact that Kaio-sama pointed something out about ‘times being dire,' he wondered what he meant by that… Could it be something to do with Earth-- Caesar and the Tree of Might? He hoped not! It would sure have been a problem if that were the case, not to mention, probably a blast for Galen especially who was the most emotionally hurt by what had happened.
“Dire? Huh? What are you talking about, Kaio-sama? Did anything happen?”
Cornatto’s question was genuinely out of curiosity, but he could imagine it had something to do with the current situation on Earth, or maybe he was wrong? He guessed only Kaio-sama could tell them the answer to his question but either way, it seemed Kaio-sama was about to give them their first lesson! The man eagerly stared at him as the Kai raised his index finger and listened as carefully as he could. Apparently, there was a way to further improve their forms-- and such Super Saiyan too? What could it be? He was sure that it wasn’t a new form, even because he was far from Super Saiyan Three, but there had to be something that could power them both up without needing to transform further?
Though, the man got a tad concerned both for his old friend and Tomoroko who was apparently just scolded by Kaio-sama about something that Natto did before-- he couldn’t quite get it. She did tell Corn that possibly Natto wouldn’t show up around here but why was that? What had happened to him? Apparently, it had something to do with the Kaioken technique, and before Corn could give a piece of his mind, he heard the voice of Kaio-sama in his head as he instructed both the fighters in how to power up. Cornatto blinked but quickly nodded as he stared down at his hands whose palms he promptly closed shortly after as he grit his teeth.
“All right!”
The man growled in anticipation as he switched into a power-up stance once more, but this time he wasn’t firing up his Ki. Cornatto was trading energy for stamina; quite the opposite of what he’d usually do as he forced his body to pour its energy into his ki as he expended stamina for power, speed, agility and much more. Quickly, his muscles got a little buff as a bright, white aura surrounded his body.
His power level hadn’t risen at all, but the tension around the man did. And soon enough, both the yellow aura and the white light faded away as the man lowered his head and furrowed his brow. A moment later, he lifted his head up and snarled before he exclaimed one word.
“KAIOKEN!”
[Super Saiyan Kaioken [x18] | Power Level: 6.241.698]
A crimson aura flared around him as it replaced the classic Super Saiyan one and his energy had risen above what it previously was. The man stared in disbelief at himself before he smirked. “So, this is the Kaioken! Amazing! I wonder how strong I can get if I do this with Super Saiyan Two…”
Shortly after, he pushed that thought aside and once more looked between the Kai and the Saiyan female as the latter one had argued against his choice. The man dressed in blue and yellow also thought to try and vouch for Tomoroko, just in case Kaio-sama would change his mind. “C’mon, Kaio-sama! I don’t know what Natto did, but I trust Tomoroko! Maybe just give her a chance-- she really wants to help!”
Before the Kamesennin could say one more word, the brown-haired human quickly assaulted him and attempted to hit him in the back with his knee, but Galen wasn’t the only one who had powered up. Cornatto was also a lot faster and quickly flew around himself as he moved away and even tried to circumnavigate to Galen’s back and gather his fists in a Double Axe Handle and strike him down to the ground.
Either way, Cornatto would send a telepathic message to Tomoroko, also to make sure the two wouldn’t argue for too long. “Don’t get worked up over it! I told you-- I’ll make sure you get stronger. Hell, if you put the effort, I think I can get you up to Super Saiyan Two at least!”

"My answer is still no! Maybe you will be able to change my mind in the future, but for now you can't handle the Kaioken. You should focus on recovering your physical conditioning. I bet Cornatto here can help you remember your fighting style." and there was no arguing with him.
When the two showed prowess in performing the Kaioken with such ease, King Kai's smile widened and he chuckled. "Very good! Now pour more into it. Make it stronger. You can reach kaioken times three as you currently stand!" he said passing through their mind the sensation they needed to grasp in order to push it to the other level.
Almost at the same time Galen managed to learn himself the wondrous technique called the Kaioken, Cornatto did the same and now the two of them were at the same spot: with the huge gap between the warriors, but he didn’t care at all. It was funny how the kaioken allowed his head to think more clearly now; the effort he had to make to increase his physical prowess required quite some focus, and this focus allowed him to see past the wall of rage that surrounded his mind whenever he used his Super High Tension form, and that was a welcoming surprise.
There was clearly some beef between King Kai, Tomoroko and that famous Natto guy as it seemed he abused King Kai’s teachings and did something that ended up quite bad, but truth be told, it was none of his business so Galen just decided to sit out of it and focus solely on his training and sparring. As he closed in to hit Cornatto, the Super Saiyan with the Kaioken managed to out speed him swiftly, turning around and dodging his attack almost as if Galen was in slow motion. ”He is absurdly fast! Even faster than before! And here he comes!” he barely had time to gulp and then he was down to the ground, victim of a fierce double axe handle strike.
Galen crashed in a loud thud, cracking the ground beneath him, grunting with the sharp pain he felt on his ribcage, but he refused to give up and seeing the fire inside of them, King Kai gave the directions so that they could reach another level. ”I see… I can go further beyond!” he thought to himself and then, by closing his eyes, Galen could tap into his inner strength and following a similar sensation from before, he pushed himself beyond his own limits and his bright red aura became even redder and bigger!
[Using Kaioken times three. PL: 4,540,361]
”Kaioken… Times… THREE!!!” and as he did that, he quickly stood up again, with his aura burning bright. Galen could feel the tension increasing on his body, almost as if his muscles were being pushed to their very limit, but now that his power had increased, he was about to show his Master what he had. ”AAAAAAHHHH!!” and ferociously, he began firing countless small ki blasts from his hands, all of them aiming at Cornatto as fast as he could muster.

For a moment there was nothing but pure rage in Tomoroko’s eyes as she looked at King Kai as he denied her yet again… Why was it the Kai continued to refuse to train her! Had she not done enough to prove herself both in life and death!? Had she not given her life to save others, had she not given what eternity she had left to serve the Supreme Kai’s? He should be wanting to train her by now! What else did she have to sacrifice, to lose? She didn’t have anything else at this point!
“Damn it… How am I supposed to be of any use to Mayuri when I can barely keep up with the human!?” She stated still just as angrily, though the fury in her eyes had died down as she turned to face Cornatto and Galen who were sparring once more. Their powers were so far beyond her own now she couldn’t help but feel helpless. There was no way for her to catch up to then, let alone Caesar and the Demon Queen.
She clenched her fist tightly, gritting her teeth as her anger and helplessness swirled around inside her like water and oil. She soon took in a deep breath, and did the only thing she knew how to do when she felt this helpless… she jumped into the fight.
With Galen down on the ground, and Tomoroko’s energy slowly returning to her, the Super Saiyaness charged the now older man with every intent to ram directly into him and knock him away from Galen if she could. She had to keep saving up her energy, so she’d have to rely on brute strength for now.
WC: 290 Will do math later, Tomo attacked with a basic melee, 5% PL
Kaio-sama didn’t answer when Cornatto asked about what sort of dire times they’d be facing, but not even the Saiyan himself noticed it, pretty much because he had been too excited by this discovery, by his new power that was the Kaioken technique. It was amazing! When Cornatto had tried to vouch for Tomoroko, though, it didn’t go as good as he hoped Kaio-sama said once more no and claimed that she couldn’t handle the Kaioken. Either way, though, Kaio-sama once more suggested that Cornatto could at least help her in recovering her previous fighting ability.
Natto had trained his fellow Saiyan comrade in the Soy Arts with a little bit of help from Karota too, who had taught him the last things before he had mastered the school entirely without too much trouble. Saiyans were born as natural fighters; it wouldn’t indeed be surprising for Saiyans to progress, after all quickly. Even if Tomoroko had lost most of her power, he was sure that she could have recovered it soon if she put herself to it. Cornatto had been through something similar, and although the power difference was quite huge, he had managed to get back all of it and surpass his old self in less than a month.
He was sure that, whether she’d have gotten the Kaioken or not, she could manage to get there. Although Corn had to say, he wondered just how many strong warriors there were out there for people such as the three people who currently were on Kaio-sama’s planet to spar and train with-- So far, he had only just arrived so that he couldn’t say too much about it. But he guessed there had to be some old powerful people like Yamcha. Kaio-sama did mention a group called Z-Fighters, so there had to be some more of them! Corn hoped he could find them and then see what they were capable of in their living days, although he guessed they’d have likely improved by then given just how good it felt to train in the afterlife.
“Yeah, that’s right! Don’t worry, Tomo-- I’ll get ya’ back in shape!”
Cornatto had already trained one of the people on the small planet; the brown-haired male and he turned out just fine for the moment, he was pretty good at using both his swords and fists. Although they still had to conclude a few things before they could call their training over, in a few words, he had already exceeded what Cornatto would have expected from his first students. He was glad that Galen had come to knock on his door that day so that he could meet a brave and robust student-- human nonetheless.
Corn had met plenty of humans back in his younger days, but only one of them had ever reached such powers, and after him, Galen was pretty much the only one that he had ever met who could wield such ki without issues. And with a pretty neat transformation too!
All they had to do was to find a little time for Galen to learn the last principles and techniques of the Turtle School-- which were also among his favorite methods, although the Super God Fist was one he liked the most and had sought to further improve it to a higher, enhanced state of power. That aside, though, he was confident that he could train both Galen and Tomo up to a higher level than their current one.
But Cornatto in his Super Kaioken form was also stronger, faster and everything more than ever! It was a complete power-up, just like the Super Saiyan but it was also a lot more draining, although not enough for him to feel it in the regular Kaioken variant. But that was when Kaio-sama sent one more telepathic message to both and hinted at a way to possibly go beyond than the regular Kaioken and transmitted them the feeling of how it’d work.
The Earthling Saiyan had already knocked Galen down to the ground with his Double Axe Handle and that left Cornatto floating in the otherworld’s skies with his gaze settled down at Galen. “More into it, huh? To reach times three, it is to do put thrice the effort and thrice the stamina! All right, let’s do this!” - the man thought to himself as he braced himself and lowered his posture ever so slightly with his elbows bent at a ninety-degree angle, he snarled as he seemingly looked like he was powering up once more. It was a far more straining process than what he did previously-- he could feel his heart a little bit tighter than before as he tapped into Kaioken x3.
“KAIOKEN… TIMES THREE!!!”
[Super Saiyan Kaioken X3 [x19] | Power Level: 6.588.459]
The crimson-red aura gradually movement in a similar manner to a wave before it unleashed an even more significant power than he did previously. The pressure itself had seemingly increased in the upper realms as the area that surrounded him was slightly enlightened by his aura’s brightness. The man looked at himself up and down once more with a surprised expression which quickly turned into one of excitement. Galen’s power had also increased quite a lot, and the younger man was aiming to keep the fight up during Kaio-sama’s teachings. “Hehe! Now that’s how ya’ do it!” - he thought to himself. He looked at Galen who had accomplished the same feat and proceeded to blast him with spheres of energy.
“What’s the matter, guys?! Come at me with all you’ve got!”
Cornatto chuckled faintly and launched his hand forward, but instead of deflecting the blasts with his mere fists, he shook his hand to the other side and caused gusts of wind to raise against the bombings but with force higher than any different natural wind. An easy trick also known as Kiai and aimed to redirect the barrage of blasts at Tomoroko.

The power inside the human was overflowing and he could feel the kaioken already taking its tools on his body, as his muscles became severely stressed, even more so than they should due to his Super High Tension form, but he did not care, he was way too focused on mastering this power and offering a decent fight to his Master, rather than self-preservation, which was usually on the lowest of his list.
However, the kaioken itself wouldn’t help Galen in this fight because Cornatto was also mastering it just as quickly as the human and that made him scoff. ”Saiyans… They are always one step ahead of me… Their relationship with power… Is as intimate as a couple’s relationship… I can’t help but to feel envious of them… But! But! I won’t let this feeling, this sensation drag me down! I’m a human! And I will show everyone that humans are not useless!!! I will show just how much power we can have and just how much we can accomplish!!” and those thoughts motivated him and allowed Galen to keep on pushing forward over and over again.
Effortlessly, Cornatto dodged Tomoroko’s attempt to strike him and then redirected Galen’s blast towards her, making the human grit his teeth and clench both his fists. ”Dammit!” he exclaimed, feeling the fury inside of him overflowing. The rage was so intense that, without realizing, he pushed himself even more and managed to increase the multiplier of the kaioken, just by following the normal logic he had been learning, ascending to the times four multiplier.
[Using kaioken times four. PL: 4,737,768]
”AAAAHHHH!!!! Let’s see how you handle this!!!!” he roared as the crimson aura exploded and increased. His muscles pumped as if they were about to blow and his right hand glowed with condensed blue energy and, with one step forward, Galen threw his hand towards Cornatto and out of nowhere, the energy exploded in the form of an energy sword that looked absolutely dangerous. ”SPIRIT SWORD!!!” the human roared as he tried to hit Cornatto right in the chest with his full power!
Galen’s Stamina 3/4 > 0/4
Using: [ULTIMATE] Spirit Sword: The user charges condensed energy in his right hand and forms into a sword-like blast that can be controlled to become longer or shorter. Because this sword is created by a single usage of energy and can continue to be used while it still have charge. It is a very devastating attacks. Mechanically wise, the user charges it regularly as an OT-3, but once released, the technique can be used to deliver any type percentage of its charge within each blow. Stamina recovers normally after the usage, but no other technique may be used until the Spirit Sword is dispelled. It cannot be blocked. [Controllable Damage. Recovers Stamina while in Use. Unblockable] PL 4,737,768!
King Kai was watching it with a smile, until he sensed the human pushing forward and that was when his expression became that of distress and fear. "No, Galen! You can't hand..." but before he could even finish his sentence, he was already attacking with that and somehow his body managed to withstand an increased Kaioken, which got King Kai into a quite thoughtful expression. "Hmmm..." and thus he decided to watch for now.
Tomoroko's fist flew by Corn with the ease of a simple step, it meant nothing to the now older Saiyan in terms of strength. This only served to enrage the saiyaness further, she was honestly sick and tired of being so weak! always in second place, always being beaten by everyone around her! Even with Natto she was always his shadow, always second best. She wasn't her own warrior, she was his warrior... She fought for him, fought with him and always trained with him...
Without Natto, what was she? who was she? As she pivoted to aim a kick at Cornatto's back she saw Galen's ki blast heading right towards her, having been completely distracted from it moments ago. Her eyes grew wide as she could only watch it approach, frozen and unsure how to react to the sudden deflection. The best she could do was bring her arms up in defense, choosing to preserve her energy as she was hit by the blast that knocked her clean off of her feet, pushing her away from Cornatto and sending her into into a rolling tumble away from him. She would slide a few meters away where she didn't immediately get back up.
'Why can't I get past this... I used to be one of the strongest in the universe and now I'm getting tossed aside like I'm nothing...' She thought to herself angrily, clenching her fist tightly as she slowly started to push herself up to her hands and knees. She would soon punch the ground with immense strength, causing the whole planet to rumble and shake from her strike, a crater forming underneath it as she would then push herself up to her feet. She looked at the two boys fighting, then over towards King Kai.
'I'm done embarrassing myself here... I'll find Cornatto later, if he's serious...' She continued to think to herself, closing her eyes and biting down on her lower lip as she called on Mar's power. Without another word the saiyaness vanished from her spot, using the power of Mar's Kaikai to return to the sacred world of the Kai's for now...
It was needless to say that the Earthling Saiyan had the upper hand on the two; there was little to do about it given his superior power and possibly experience, since Tomoroko had apparently lost her motivation to fight or something like that. He didn’t exactly know what was up with her at the moment, but Galen was quite psyched up for the fight! It was nice to see the Earthling to be in a mood different than his usual self, which by all means, he was fine but the way he was right now, the younger man was really going all out! He couldn’t help but feel excited!
As the energy blasts were deflected towards Tomoroko and hit her, though, it looked like that he had caused more than just a clean hit but rather a blow to the woman’s pride. It wasn’t definitely what he was aiming for, but he had noticed her disappearing out of nowhere, his expression only ever so slightly furrowing at her leave but Cornatto could more or less understand how she was feeling. Either way, though, he was happy that she tried to stand up to him no matter what!
Cornatto could only hope that their training would at least grant her a level of strength that she had lost, because it wasn’t fair that someone as strong as Tomo used to be had lost all of her power just like that. The Turtle Hermit himself would have likely felt pretty disappointed at first, but being as careless as he could be, he’d probably forget it and train again to recover it all after a few moments or so. It was just how careless how he was that made it easy for him to look beyond problems like that, some couldn’t just help but stress over them but Corn wouldn’t probably be all that bothered about it.
Now, though, the fight wasn’t over yet. It was true that it had first begun as two versus one, but now that one was gone, the Earthling and the Saiyan were the only ones left from the fight that had erupted and now, it was only going to be a matter of either who could surpass the other or outsmart his opponent. But now that only one more warrior was left to face the Turtle Hermit, who stared at Galen with a delighted expression until it softened into one of surprise as he watched the male surpass the Kaioken Times Three. He didn’t exactly specify just how much, but his ki was enough for Cornatto pinpoint that it was still an improvement over his current state and that just made him wonder how far he could get with this technique.
If Galen could push himself that far, that only meant the Kaioken could push you even further than only three times and that perhaps, Cornatto could give it a try himself to try and unlock its limit— or well, at least to attempt and see how far he would get. It was worth a shot.
“That's amazing, Galen!”
The man exclaimed with an obvious hint of amusement in his words, but at the same time, the male couldn’t help but stare at his fists for a brief moment as his orbs lowered down to pretty much staring at the current state of his body until he finally looked at Galen once more.
“In that case, then—... I will also go beyond! Haaaaaahhh…!”
The Saiyan braced himself as he bent his back forward ever so slightly, with his arms bent at a ninety-degree angle and his fists closed tightly. A growl escaped from his throat as he pushed his lungs forth to release the air out of his chest, gradually causing his voice to rise as he powered up.
Cornatto was trying to grasp every bit of power he could, to push his heartbeat even further and focus an even great energy within himself. It was all about power level, wasn’t it? Lately, one had to see things this way to actually survive in a certain sense, but was it solely based off a concept as straightforward and monotonous such as power? Was a bigger aura or a few more digits on a scouter more than necessary? But it was far different from that, there were different meanings to power, it wasn’t only a matter of getting stronger and those were things that Corn had already experienced before. None of it was new to him, he had lived enough and ventured a lot, more than what he imagined.
“Uhh… What’s up, dad?” - asked the child.
The adult eyed the child sternly, folding his arms over his chest for a brief moment before he let out a sigh in exasperation, lifting up one of his hands as he gestured the kid to follow him.
“Move it. I told you we were going to train today. You better have not forgotten.” - he replied before stepping into the house once more, leaving the kid behind. Cornatto blinked, staring blankly where his dad was standing a few moments earlier before realization hit him; he did tell him they were going to do some special training! How could he forget?! Admittedly, he was somewhat curious as to what this ‘special training’ was going to be; he couldn’t wait to find out!
The child jumped off the roof, gracefully landing on the ground before running his way inside the wooden building; their residence wasn’t that big, it was pretty much medium-sized, however behind it there was also a platform that the Saiyans would use to spar, however, if the man had walked inside the house, he guessed that they were going to train inside for once.
However, as Cornatto ran inside, he couldn’t see his father anywhere; and the house wasn’t even that big, and yet he was nowhere to be seen. At that point, the child either thought that he was playing some stupid prank on him or… or that! In that case, there was only one way for him to know where the man actually… asking his mother.
“Moom! Where’s dad?!”
The Saiyaness Cassa, whom on the other hand was busy looking for something on some shelf, looked less like the young Saiyan; she still wore the same traditional armor, the only difference was that the man had shorter hair, as to while the woman’s hair locks reached up to the back of her neck. She seemed a lot more comprehensive than his father, but she still didn’t look like someone you’d want to mess with.
The woman looked over her shoulder for a brief moment, acknowledging the child who was staring at her before fixating her gaze once more towards the shelves, that she continued to look after.
“I think he’s in the basement. He was looking for you so you might want to hurry up.”
The basement? Cornatto raised an eyebrow, it was pretty weird that out of places he’d be in the basement; it was usually forbidden for him to go there in the first place. He didn’t even know why, everytime he was told that it was dangerous and too early for him to step in there, or to be precise they always pointed how it ‘it could be’ dangerous, almost as if it was a situational thing but Cornatto didn’t really feel like risking it if he could have gotten in trouble like his parents had always reminded him. He was somewhat excited that he’d finally get to see what was inside!
“Alright, I’m off then!”
“Have fun.”
Cornatto stared at Cassa for a brief moment, somewhat confused by her last comment but he let it slide it off shortly after; he was going to train, of course, it was going to be fun! That was pretty much one of the young Saiyan’s favorites out of all the things he could have ever done; aside from eating, that is obvious! He loved trained just as much as food, both were just too good! But most importantly, the young Saiyan was aiming to get stronger-- much stronger, and he couldn’t certainly slack off and eat all the day… even if that didn’t sound that bad at all. Especially if it was steak, he loved that one.
The child walked down the stairs that led down the house to a basement which was always locked by a huge door that Cornatto had never thought of opening, even because he didn’t exactly know how to; while it was quite simple, one simply had to pull an iron bar so that it’d unlock. But, this one time the door was already unlocked, slightly open so that Cornatto could peek inside, seeing nothing other than white.
“Uh, weird... “ - he thought to himself. Most of the house made out of wood, how come this room would be white? Or really, it looked more like it was made out of metal other than anything. Cornatto decided so to pull the door aside and step in, glancing around as to what looked like to be an empty room with his father, Maroto, standing in the middle of the room with his arms still folded over his chest.
The young Saiyan blinked, his curious gaze set on his father’s figure whose eyes were closed-- not for long, though as he suddenly cast them open.
“Remind me, Cornatto. You’ve never been here, right?”
The youngling hesitated a moment before nodding. “Yup! Never been here… what’s this?”
For a moment, the slightest of grins cracked on the man’s face-- for some obscure reason that Cornatto himself couldn’t even think of. He wasn’t really used to seeing his father even smile at all, and that grin could possibly mean nothing more other than content or possibly he was about to start off a spar-- obviously attacking first. However, he excluded the latter one as the man suddenly spoke up.
“This is a Gravity Chamber. Gravity is a force that influences everything on this planet, and the stronger it is, the more is the weight you feel on yourself. Clear enough?”
Cornatto tilted his head slightly, rubbing the back of his neck in reflex. He didn’t really understand any of it, nor could he even imagine why any of this was important at all-- what did gravity have to do with training?
“Err, nope.”
Maroto wasn’t really one who liked to repeat himself, not to mention that it’s not like he had explained anything that difficult! It was a pretty simple concept, but it seemed like he had to go for something simpler.
“Alright, well. Do you remember how wearing weights make your training more effective? It’s basically the same. Just you don’t have to wear anything to train with the benefit of gravity, which is much more effective than that weighted clothing.” - said the man, and this time Cornatto easily realized what was the result of gravity training-- even if he was still rather unsure as to what gravity actually was, he could still say that he understood what he could have gotten out of this, and he had to say, that he liked the idea! Weighted clothing had been working rather well for him, but if gravity truly was that good, then he couldn’t wait to get started!
“Awesome! Are we starting now?!”
“No, not yet.”
“Uh? Why is that? Also, why didn’t you let me in here before?”
“We’ll go for a spar first. We could as well jump into it straight away, but I’d rather have you warm up beforehand, so you can see the difference between our normal training sessions and the one you’ll go through when using this chamber. And, if I had let you in here before, you could have gone for a gravity level too high for you, you would have likely been crushed by now.”
The boy simply watched with curious eyes, evidently not understanding what the older male was talking about. He was confused about what this ‘gravity level’ was, why couldn’t he handle it? It was still a matter of needing a superior strength, wasn’t it? The kid’s tail wagged curiously from one side to the other as his parent and his own orbs stared at each other.
“I mean, okay, if that’s what you want!”
The child fell down in a lousy fighting stance, it didn’t obviously resemble any sort of mastery over combat, it was mostly goofy and kind of funny to look at— he looked like one of those kids who was just done watching a martial arts film the night before the sun struck the earth with its brilliant rays. Although he did not seem to particularly care about it, as the older male simply stared at him, waiting for the child to strike and so he did— well, tried.
His small frame suddenly lifted up the ground as he lunged forward with his elbow aiming to strike one in the other’s face, although, needless to say, that it didn’t quite go anywhere as the male blocked with swift reflexes that were probably beyond the kid’s strength. The boy simply gasped in annoyance, impossible to put a facade over the other’s show of power and instead believed the best course of action would be fighting back until the other would be rendered too tired to battle. It wasn’t exactly some sort of master plan that could bring him anywhere concrete, but he could definitely still try.
The older male pushed forth his arm, that blocked the way for the child to strike at his old man with his elbow before he would simply just pushed the arm away, and the child aside, aiming to hit the child with his bare fist as the strike went through and connected with the child’s face.
The impact quickly made him fly for a short moment until he fell with his butt onto the ground, holding his face with his hands in pain, he was painful and why was that? Just how strong did he have to get to finally even hit the other Saiyan? His tail soon wrapped around his small waist, while the older male simply rolled his eyes and scoffed, evidently disappointed as he folded his arms over his chest and turned around.
“Exactly what I was talking about. You’re a whimper, you must train harder!”
The child puffed his cheeks out as he nearly cried because of the intense feeling he felt in his head; it felt as if it was about to explode any moment and even physical touch, even if he tried to hold the sore spot, it wouldn’t stop from throbbing in pain. He couldn’t just give up because of such a puny strike, right? And yet, it was painful enough from holding him sat right on the ground.
“Oh come on, I don’t even understand what this is all about, dad! Why did you want me to spar you out of a sudden?”
The older male scowled once more, evidently irritated by the other’s tone as his frame tensed up in utter annoyance. “Why?” - the man repeated until he turned around and glared at the younger Saiyan. “Because you’re still a weakling! That’s why! How do you think you are going to accomplish anything if you don’t have any strength?”
The kid pouted as he forced himself up. “I am trying, though, give me some time and I’ll be strong I’m telling ya’!”
“Tch! As if your enemies would be waiting for you to get stronger. Listen, if you want to get stronger, then put your soul to it because being happy to go lucky won’t bring you anywhere. It will just make you weaker. You are not even acting like a Saiyan— We are warriors and strength alone is a warrior’s pride, what good will you be if you don’t even have that?!”
The boy could not help but blink his eyes. It was way too different from what the boy thought, of course, he wanted to get stronger, it was intriguing and he did not know why but it attracted him but he was not a prideful warrior. He was simply a fighter and his desires literally burned for combat, it was such an overwhelming feeling, not only to fight but simply to always be that much energy and all; it made him feel good and the person he was. That was just who he was and could not change, but yet it looked like the older male had a different opinion. Way too different from what he’d prefer.
It had been a few hours or so since the door that led to the house’s gravity chamber had been locked, such was done in case there’d be anyone sneaking in there-- the male didn’t really want anyone to interfere under the gravity after all. He wasn’t really that far, he could tell the kid had probably not gone anywhere but if he were to push it any further, it’d be his funeral. For the boy himself, it had been quite harsh to get used to a higher gravity level to the one he had been used to during his time on the blue planet.
However, he had been aware of such tricky devices for quite a while; gravity chamber was a term that he had heard before— he couldn’t exactly remember the context, but maybe they had trained there before? He wasn’t that sure.
That aside, but even if he knew that they would have been in possession of one of those machines, he’d have probably never thought of using it; he didn’t know how effective it’d be for him, especially considering how difficult it was for one’s body but all he needed was the word from his best friend, who had mentioned it a few times. It could as well be bites and bits of competition left over towards the hybrid, after all, a little rivalry between friends couldn’t definitely hurt even if he didn’t take it that seriously any longer.
The boy was lying on the ground with his chest placed flat on the floor, his arms set to the sides with his palms wide open. The boy pushed himself off the floor, extending his arms as he lifted himself up before he let out a sharp exhale. “Nine thousand and five hundred and seventy-five…” - he muttered under his breath before he let his body lower once more down the floor, repeating the same process all over again.
He was sweating, not that much. Just a little bit. Although, it seemed as if the boy had already not gotten used to the current gravity level. However, he’d have had to train harder— and harder! It was barely enough for the Saiyan to give up— it did feel that heavy after all, it still had quite an impact on his body. It was still ten times above the normal gravity level, after all.
The young boy continued too much of an effort, almost as if it wasn’t getting him anywhere— more or less. But compared to when he started a few hours earlier, he had perhaps made some progress. He could feel himself stronger, either that or his body was just tensing up way too much. Not a huge deal but it was still better than nothing and there was still a long way to go. But in the end, what it was demanded of the child was indeed power— out of pride, or perhaps honor, one or the other, certainly if it lacked, one was nothing but trash.
Snow brushed gently through the Earthling Saiyan as he stood there gracefully on the ground that was claimed to be cold enough to turn even fire to ice in a matter of seconds, and it was true in a way or the other; it was actually really freezing out there, and someone as light clothed as Cornatto would feel it. Even if, for some reason, the Earthling Saiyan almost felt as if he had been there once… or more than just one time, but they were all but certainties.
Either way, he had one purpose for his visit to such mysterious, and majestic mountain. His purpose was, obviously, training his body and his mind to become more adaptable to certain situations that’d require it. And thankfully, there were no women taking a stroll, else it’d have been a catastrophe! As much as many didn’t believe in legends, the Earthling Saiyan left himself to be intrigued by the stories of how women were supposed to set on snowstorms in that particular area. If it were true, he had no idea but he wished it was so that he could give it a try and bring with him…
“Gnas-! No, wait, he is a guy. Err, there’s also Melon!... Wait, no… he just kinda looks feminine. Tor… eh, that’s a no-no I guess. Oh, right! There’s also!!...” - he snapped out his thoughts after a moment or two, Cornatto reminded himself for what he had gone there for; to train, not to think about experimenting such things on a mountain!
He closed his eyes, letting his legs spread a bit and his knees bending a little. He placed his arm tightly close to his hips, and his elbow bent at a 90° angle. Clenching his right hand, he began feeling a huge concentration in the whole body with his other hand just half-clenched close to his face. “Deceive the darkness, avoid the moment…” - he mumbled under his breath as his body began to glow with a shiny golden color.
That glow lasted shortly as it suddenly sparked into a ghostly white aura. “Kaaaaaaa…” - he hummed for a few seconds until his eyes, now open, immediately set on a nearby rock, he drew his right arm back before launching it forward as a Ki surged through his hand and exploded forward, disintegrating the rock in pieces that flew all over the area. Once that the smoke cleared, he grinned as both his arms rose to the sides and bent at 90° angle with his fists clenched. “Woohoo!” - he exclaimed, giving himself a bit of praise.
He was rather satisfied with his result, he had been training a lot and had found his center and posture, now what he had to work were basic things such as raw strength, which to many might seem unnecessary but to a warrior race, not that much. Even if Cornatto wasn’t that much for Saiyan ideology, he was pretty sure that one did, indeed, need strength to battle a stronger foe.
Although, as soon he had just tapped into his own Ki, the outer world also let itself speak aloud to the Earthling Saiyan’s sense as he picked up on what felt to be like another life form. "T-this must be!" - he blurted out, glancing around as he had imagined a powerful being to be around, but no... it wasn't it. He could tell that much as he examined that Ki more in-depth, yet he couldn't fully realize what it was. “K-Ki?... No, this can’t be his Ki but yet it feels so similar.” - he thought to himself, folding his arms on his chest as he glanced around with a concerned expression on his face.
Cornatto hadn’t even noticed until then of such a huge and incredible Ki signature, but at the same time, it didn’t really feel like a living being at all! Or if it was, it was a very unusual one since he had never sensed anything like that. It was unusual enough to make Cornatto’s heart rumble in curiosity, but at the same time, he was somewhat concerned. “I wonder where this is coming from…” - he said to himself, looking around as he attempted to pinpoint a precise location.
But the man was not alone to have sensed such dramatic power. Among him, two more beings; a green-skinned, tall person that donned a traditional yet with a slight hint of modern in his attire and a wolfman that dressed elegantly, with a guest in his persona.
"Something's out there..." Fenrir said, sotto voce. "I don't know what it is but-- they're powerful, immensely so." Turning towards Samba with urgency in his steps, he asked. "Focus, can't you feel it? It's all across this mountain! It's like…”
"Wow, now that you mention it, that's a vast amount of energy!" How could he have missed that? He must have been really out of it to not have noticed sooner. "Want to go and check it out?" How could a spirit look so giddy, like a puppy wanting to go out and play, he couldn't help but wonder about Samba's mentality but wisely he decided not to ask questions, who knows if stupidity was infective.
Knowing that Samba won't let the matter go and will simply nag him to hell and back to go and investigate the source of energy, he quickly caved with a sigh that was 99% percent annoyance and 1% fondness. "Alright, you mangy mutt, let's go." Turning and walking towards the general direction of the source of that large pool of energy, Fenrir muttered under his breath. "If we die due to your damn curiosity I swear to god I'm going to find a way and kill you dead."
All he received was a belly laugh as Samba trailed after him.
On the other side of the mountains, instead, the other warrior approached the black-haired male.
“Cornatto-san!”
Without a second to lose, the Namekian dashed towards his cloak and slung the white fabric across his shoulders so quick that the wisping of his coat tail conjured up a mini snow tornado atop the rock. Once he was fully situated, he summoned a large shroud of white energy around his body and took to the air, zooming straight towards his Saiyan friend.
It took him a mere few minutes to reach his destination. Now floating in the air and staring down at his friend, he plummeted towards the ground, touching down so quickly that his landing caused a small crack in the ground around them. “Cornatto-san! Are you okay? I felt this energy. This massive energy pool. I sensed you near it. Is everything okay? Is there an enemy here?”
“Hey, Gnash!”
It was sure reassuring to see his old friend around, who seemed to be keeping himself fit but always training harshly. That was the Namekian he knew! It seemed that Gnash had also acknowledged the presence of such mystic force, and he couldn’t help but understand his concern. “Yeah, I’m alright. I can’t really tell who it is, though… that’s really an incredible power. It might be greater than others I’ve sensed here.”
Once he’d found out that Cornatto was safe and well, Gnash focused his attention on the raging pool of energy hidden somewhere within the mountain that scaled the peaks of the world right before the duo. It was unnerving, really. How something like this could even exist. He could’ve sworn he felt something mildly similar down in the Southern regions, but he was no expert. Not yet, anyway. Deep down, he had hopes that other capable individuals were at the very least investigating the one in the south or any other pool of energy on the planet he called home. For all he knew, these things could be a means to an end.
“I do not believe that is actually an Earthling, Cornatto-san. We’ve been roaming Planet Earth for some years now, and not once have we experienced an individual with power like that. Why would one just suddenly appear now? And in two places at the same time? Just before I arrived here in the North to begin my training, I had felt a power signature similar to this one in the South. But, I guess being as far away as I was, it didn’t seem as powerful as this..”
The Earthling Saiyan snapped out of his thoughts and let Gnash speak as he mentioned of how unlikely it was for the Ki Source to come from an actual human. It was pretty obvious if he thought about it after all; if it were a person, he’d have likely approached either him or Gnash already. Furthermore, it was impossible for multiple people that strong to just appear out of nowhere like that, otherwise, the Earthling Saiyan would have likely sensed it, and so would have the Namekian.
“Yeah… I think you’re right. I mean, we both have lived here for years… probably faced with people stronger than the average, but not this strong. Even that devil was nothing compared to this Ki, but perhaps you’re right. It’s not an Earthling, but then… what is it? If there’s truly one in the South too, similar to this one, then it’s not just a coincidence. I mean, let’s look at it from this; if it were a person, he’d have indeed approached us already as you say, but I’ve never heard of Ki being emanated from not living beings. Agh, this is way too complex…” - he said, folding his arms on his chest as he let his foot raise slightly before letting it rest once more on the ground, tapping it multiple times as he tried to come up with any possible explanation for such a thing; too bad he couldn’t find any.
Just to ease things up a little bit or perhaps because he wished to show off, Gnash thought he’d at least show his progress to his friend. The Namekian held his arms out, gesturing towards all of the cuts and bruises, especially his torn clothing. “As you can see, I have been keeping up with my training. In fact, I was perfecting a new move just before arriving here. How about yourself? I can feel your power has risen since our last meeting. I think I would be foolish to assume you hadn’t been doing the same!”
Cornatto’s eyes set once more on the green man, who pointed to his cuts and bruises; those were the signs of a true warrior! Or so many said at least, but it really brought a smile to Cornatto’s face, it was good to know that his friend was keeping himself more than just fit. “Hehe! Of course, I have. I’ve been trying to develop… a new technique you might say. It’s just, really difficult.”
"So, you two felt that energy, eh?" Fenrir asked in lieu of a greeting, his form appearing from the slight snowstorm that this mountain was generating like a monster stepping into the light and out of the darkness. Fenrir's good eye looked from the green-skinned man to the palm-tree haired human and back again. "I don't suppose you two have an idea as to what might generate such a large amount of energy?" It was a good icebreaker as any, and considering how tense the atmosphere as it was sorely needed.
Inside him the specter knows as Samba was clearly holding himself back from appearing outside of Fenrir's body and greeting Gnash with warm enthusiasm, it was only Fenrir's warning and the look of annoyance that he'd give him that stopped him from trying, that and because there was an unknown in their midst; he wasn't sure that Gnash's friend would be on board with the idea of a Spirit being out and about.
Or at least he thought so, he wasn't really sure so assuming right off the bat might not be the best course of action, but as Fenrir always told him when he was in one of his rants. 'Constant Vigilance, you mangy mutt!'
Cornatto turned towards the newcomer, his hand rose close to his face but slightly to the side in a greeting gesture. “Yo! And yeah, we felt it too. Can’t say we can tell what this is actually supposed to be, though.”
Though, the reveal to all their questions would soon present itself in front of their eyes as a darker figure would approach from on top of a cliff, bravely announcing himself and his arrival as both his arms were safely placed behind his pack, with a dark pink skin and completely yellow eyes, with no orbs. He looked quite creepy, honestly, not quite the individual to hide any sort of emotion other than mystery— no one could read within him, not only Gnash if it weren’t for the evil energy that slowly burned within the alien.
All of the three men, including the evil alien, could not help but tense up at his immense power, it was far beyond any of theirs, and probably could even go further given they were not even in battle. But why? The three had felt the evil energy coming from afar, here, but now that they could at least pinpoint the man— there were two more! There were three more, one stronger than the other, although it looked like the one in front of them was indeed the strongest.
Among the three, the one to speak out his mind, though, was Gnash. “You… you are a Namekian aren’t you?!” - the Namekian might not have been on Namek before, but he could easily recognize between his people quite easily and while this stranger had a different skin color, he still possessed characteristics typical of the slug race; such as their particular arms or bald head, which he donned with a pair of straight antennas that almost looked like pointy horns.
Throwing his confidence to the wind, as he grew closer and closer to the three undoubtedly terrifying power levels. They just grew. And grew, and grew.
“I’ve got to stop doubting my own abilities! I have Cornatto-san and Fenrir-san by my side throughout this. And if we do not combat these monsters, who will? No one else on Earth can measure up to our power levels. If someone does, we surely haven’t come across them yet… We have to do this. We can’t keep calling ourselves heroes and just sit on the sidelines for someone such as Mr. Beryl to take over. Not again.”
But the other stayed mute.
This was only the beginning of what was to happen shortly after, a battle between groups that wished for something different. A riskful series of battles against Namekians that wished to gain more than what they deserved through malicious ways, but this, despite having been eventually solved was also another experience in the man’s book that brought him to grow from a teen to something more than that. What kind of power was it? Power by...—unity? To save someone else or the entire world, truly heroic, although it did feel weird but it had some sort of adventurous theme to it and Cornatto liked it.
He was still flying, flying and more flying! Until he arrived at a specific place in the West where he was welcomed by a very, and not kidding there, very long pillar! But it was no pillar, Cornatto had heard of that place before and while some were just myths, he felt that they were more than just stories made up for the sake of making a parent’s child sleep with a fable. What was supposed to be beyond the human sight, was something that was supposed to be unreachable for the average earthling, and that was what Cornatto needed for what he had in mind.
Cornatto smiled, nodding to himself as he let his feet rest on the ground, landing softly as he let out a sharp exhale. “Here we are…” - he said to himself, glancing around before he remembered what he had promised to both Gnash and Fenrir. “I hope they haven’t forgotten already… Now, to beckon them the way!”
The Earthling Saiyan’s fists clenched, his arms bent at a 90° angle as he assumed a power-up stance, a ghostly white aura flaring around him as he screamed to the top of his lungs, his eyes wide open. While he couldn’t really boost himself up, but he could obviously fire his Ki up so that Gnash and Fenrir would realize that he was calling on to them.
Fenrir laid in his bed, the room was bathed in darkness as the lights were turned off and the blinds were covering the sunrays that desperately wanted to spill into the room and chase the darkness away. It had been around a few hours since that strange voice spoke with them back in Mt. Frappe, and so far the Zoan was at a loss on what to do.
He blinked when he felt Cornatto's energy suddenly spike, easily felt to his senses. Belatedly he remembered the male's words and quickly got out of bed and ready to meet him and Gnash. He was curious as to what he had planned if it involved these recent events.
In no time at all he was flying towards the Saiyan's direction, one eyebrow raising in curiosity when he realized where his flight path was taking him. "What could he do all the way over here?" - He knew of this place, but never really paid it that much attention besides what his clients asked him to scout it over for information, as far as he knew there was a massive pillar of stone that stretched high above the skies, above the clouds with no end in sight.
He never grew curious enough to scale it and see if the thing ever reached an end, but today perhaps that curiosity will be satisfied.
"You called?" - Fenrir asked cheekily as his aura vanished as he finally reached his destination, his boots making dull thuds as he touched the firm ground.
Just as he made headway over a mountain range, their Namekian friend was finally about to arrive, his mental radar picked up on a power signature resonating violently to his right. He thrust his arms out in front of his person, halting his flight for the time being. “Okay, I suppose he wants us to meet near that giant white tower. But why there? If he wanted to battle, surely he would’ve chosen a location where he didn’t have to destroy a damned relic..” Gnash’s chest was riddled with an exasperated sigh at the thought of his friend’s foolish skylarking. He let his pearly white fangs gleam off the sun from behind emerald petals before zooming off in their direction.
Within the next three minutes or so, the seven-foot-eight Namekian had arrived at his destination. Before his hulking frame could crash into the thick white pillar protruding from the ground before him, he formed his legs into a corkscrew-like formation and spiraled his way towards the ground. The cloak of white-translucent energy surrounding his body broke apart into two steady streams that swirled around his form until he finally touched solid ground, dissipating into a brigade of dazzling sparkles. He offered both of them a simple nod before setting his sites on Cornatto.
“Also, my apologies for such a late arrival! I was actually in West City preparing for an interview with a restaurant manager so that I could possibly obtain a position as a waiter!” His face lit up with obvious enthusiasm. If either of them had ever had even the tiniest of glimpses into his life, they’d understand his desire to get himself more accustomed with the ways of the Earthlings. What better way than to serve food to them? It was the perfect way to interact with people of all shapes and sizes.
“So, might I ask what this meeting is about?”
"About time you showed up, Gnash." - Fenrir snarked, a smirk crossing his muzzle before it was replaced with a confused frown. He couldn't help it, really, his brow rose in surprise at the male's reason for being late, a bead of sweat trailing down the side of his face.
'I'm unsure if I would let a seven foot tall green-skinned alien slug deal with my food, to be honest,’ - debated Samba.
'Oh come on, dude. Don't be like that, he's trying his best to fit in on Earth; give him a chance.'
'Tsk. Don't call me dude.'
The Earthling Saiyan blinked slowly, somewhat confused by Gnash’s reason for being late. “A… waiter? Huh. Well, might come over there and perhaps save me a Zeni or two from the actual price!” - he said, winking a bit jokingly.
“But yeah… Haven’t you guys realized what’s going to happen? Fights here and there, and mostly important… people from other planets. Namekians aren’t really that much of a harm if there is anything there, but Vegeta… can you guys imagine what would happen? And plenty of other aliens, Earth might turn into a mess if things go for the worst. I think, aside from participating in this, we’d keep an eye out. And I think we shouldn’t just take this as a hobby, but something serious, as a group.” - he said, giving them a break to take in all the information.
“Here rests an ancient pillar that is supposed to take you to Kami-sama. I… kind of have some sort of déjà-vu when I’m here, but some in these Holy Grounds confirmed that there’s something mystical up there. And I think it’d be the best place for us to unite and patrol our homeworld. What do you guys think?”
Fenrir turned back to the present and couldn't help but stare at Corn with an unreadable expression. What he said was the truth, sooner or later there would be other fighters that would come from different planets, their minds and bodies ready for the challenges ahead of them. He would be lying if he didn't say that the chance of fighting some of them didn't entice him, but to put the Earth at risk?
He'd rather not have that happen, ever. But if it came down to that, they needed to be ready to defend it at any cost. It seemed that Samba agreed wholeheartedly with his opinion, judging by the growl that he let off when the word Vegeta was mentioned, after their bonding the had a good talk about Samba's past, and one thing that stuck out the most was that he didn't really like Saiyans all that much, especially those that wanted nothing but conquer and destroy.
"So... what. Are we gonna make a group of some sorts? An alliance?" - The Zoan scoffed but he didn't seem against the idea of such a thing. "Well, here we are. Three jackasses standing together in a circle. This can't go wrong at all." - His voice didn't have any barb to it, the Wolf just liked being a sarcastic little bitch. "What's our new name? Guardians of the Galaxy?"
If it was, he swore that he would end their lives right here and now.
Gnash bobbed his head in agreement, bringing his arms up to slide them underneath his pits, locking them down for a comfortable pose. “I agree. One-hundred percent. I was a bit nervous coming forward about these things because you two seemed excited about fighting beings from other planets. But I am glad to know that you guys share my issues!” - He’d completely taken Fenrir into account without hearing his own opinion on the matter, just simple assuming the Zoanthrope felt the same way as them and went along with it.
“From the books I have read about my planet, I believe I can assure you that no one is going to come here and attack. But Vegeta however… It worries me. For all we know, individuals from that planet could already be here causing havoc. I have yet to run into any of them.” He’d picked up on a few power signatures here and there, though blew them off with the wave of his hand. One, he had been too focused on training himself after the information brought forth from the woman in the ki pool. Two, for all he knew they could have just been warriors of Earth doing the very same thing he was; training.
“Once again, I agree! I believe if we work together and possibly recruit other warriors to help defend this planet as a unit, we’ll be much better off. This isn’t a game anymore. This isn’t a test to see who is the strongest. Cornatto-san is right. We need to take this seriously, because our lives.. And the lives of the people we care about could be in danger. The Earth itself could be in danger.”- Gnash put his fist against his chest, placing it right over his heart. It was a custom he’d seen many Earthlings perform as a sign of trust. He figured this would be the best way to fit in. “I am willing to fight by your side on behalf of this planet. You both have my word; I will defend it with all of my might!”
Pledging his allegiance to the two and his home, Cornatto went on to explain what the hell this pillar behind them actually was. Or what it leads to. Gnash had a hunch as to what it was, but all he was about to scrounge up was that it was sacred to the people of Earth. It was sort of like… A symbol of peace, or something of the sort.
“Something mystical, huh? I knew there was an odd aura around it. Good to know now though, huh?”
Gnash churned his neck, tilting his chin upwards so that his eyes could gaze into the sky. As far as his own optics could scope, there was nothing. Just the pole reaching high into the sky, past the clouds. “I suppose there is only one way we can find out if there is actually something up there. We just go.” - While Gnash would never approve of going head-first into something like this, there was no other choice. No one actually knew what was up there, and if some did they weren’t telling.
Just as he began ascending towards whatever “sacred land” laid in their wake, Fenrir posed a question that snagged his ear like a fishing hook and dragged him back towards the ground. If they were actually going to forge an alliance of sorts, they needed a name. Every cool team had a name. At least in Earthling literature, they did. Gnash put a finger to his chin and pondered. What the hell were they going to name themselves? They had to pick something short and sweet, for if they actually became famous world-wide, people need to be able to pronounce it. But it also had to have a meaning. They couldn’t just call themselves the Banana Batch and be done with it.
“Mmm. What about… Genkai? I believe that is a variation of the word ‘Courage’... I remember seeing it in a book Chef Yasmar gave to me. ‘You need Genkai to present your food to others.’ Something along those lines!”
It seemed that the two, Gnash, in particular, shared his very same thoughts regarding the whole matter as to how this whole situation was completely riskful, especially for the innocent and who had no way to defend himself against people such as the Saiyans. “Don’t worry, you know us. We wouldn’t do such a thing, and just as I explained… we need to stay united, just as Fenrir said! An alliance. I know what the Saiyans on Vegeta could be capable of… and we don’t really want them to let them do whatever they want here, on this planet; our homeworld! I do know I am a Saiyajin myself, but I’m nothing like those bastards.” - he said, letting his fist clench tightly for a brief moment as his mind wandered on what consequences the Ki Sinks would have had.
He snapped out of it as the wolfman demanded a name for the group, and he was right, they couldn’t just be ‘the guys who actually decided to do something’, or stuff like that. And he really liked Gnash’s suggestion, too. “Genkai… The Genkai Force! How about that? I think it’s got a nice vibe to it. We’ll express the earthlings’ strength to go beyond their limits, by mastering fear and turning it on your side; that’s what courage is.”
“The Genkai Force……? That sounds fantastic!” - Gnash lifted his lids, stabbing Cornatto’s soul with his yellow eyes. The name just had a ring to it. It rolled off the tongue smoothly, it was easy to pronounce, and it had a meaning. The entire checklist for forming their defensive group was complete! “I really do like that name! I can get behind our purpose as well. Representing the Earthling’s strength to break through their limiters. Nice thinking, Cornatto-san! Did you come up with that all on your own or did you see that somewhere in a book like I did?”
Fenrir had a little bit of a conflicting opinion, though.
The thought of how to name this alliance was actually given a bit of thought after his little off-handed comment, and while the name wasn't the most powerful or attention-grabbing out there, it still served to show its purpose across. A beacon of light against those that would wish harm to the Earth, perhaps even the universe as a whole.
... Did it really have to sound like some sort of childish magical anime, though? He had seen some of those shows on the TV once, and couldn't help but wonder if others really thought of that as genuine entertainment.
Giving a put-upon sigh, which was a facade to hide the amused smile on his face, Fenrir empathetically lifted his own clenched fist to the sky, though he looked entirely lazy while doing so. "Yippy, we're a team now." - Giving a snort, the Zoan looked at each in turn before looking upward. "So, shall we go now?"
And what came after was only a fading memory in his mind, but that was what mattered; the man had sought power for something else, not only because someone else wished him to be stronger, for their pride, but for their union and salvation of an entire planet. But deep down, there was something else that burned within Cornatto, but what was it?
Okarot looked him and down once more, smirking all the way. "I must say I am impressed, earthling, to think that one of you would become a Super Saiyan," he growled. There was a growing ball of anxiousness in his stomach, the blood in his veins beginning to surge preemptively.
"I'll give you one chance to surrender," said Okarot, "In case you're a coward. And I'd hate to waste my time on a coward."
However, the other Saiyan who stood there firmly in an idle stance, his hair had turned from a pitch black to a legendary golden color that was the light in the darkness that Namek needed at the moment, during the ordeal of the Saiyans on their planet. “You have some guts to call me a coward when you are trying to get out of this so desperately, you coward,” - he replied, frowning slightly as he stared at the Saiyan with a serious look.
Okarot cracked his knuckles, and dropped himself into a low fighting stance, ready to go on the offensive at a moment's notice, ready to show the man just what a Saiyan really could do. "Very well!" He roared, "Let's see just how brave you really are, Earthing!"
And with that, Okarot threw up both of his hands and shot two basic ki blasts at the man. A simple opening move, but perhaps enough to catch the man off-guard.
Cornatto replied to with the palm of his hand; deflecting them away as each Ki Blast grazed against his flesh, and then he got closer, rushing at him with his arm drawn back as he charged a basic Ki Blast in his hand, attempting then to press that one hand and have it connect to Okarot’s stomach. The blast exploded and it sent Okarot careening back, but he quickly recovered, and grit his teeth staring at the man. Hovering backward, the half-blood shot another, single ki blast at his foe to keep up the pressure, aiming a swift shot at the man's legs.
“How can you be so strong… and be an Earthling?! You are not from Vegeta, are you?!”
Cornatto’s counterattack seemed to have connected quite nicely, it wasn’t any of finishing move but simply an attack to keep the spirits up; that’s what made a Saiyan’s blood run quick and deep into their veins, after all, the excitement of battle, and as much as Cornatto was nothing like an Empire Saiyan, he wasn’t a stranger to such feelings.
Then, the fellow kinsman questioned his place on Earth which Cornatto immediately replied with a chuckle, followed by head shaking slightly in denial. “No. I don’t come from Vegeta. I was born and raised on Earth,” - he replied as he saw a Ki Blast coming his way, he frowned and let his knee rose forward as he gritted his teeth, intercepting the blast with his knee. “You’re not bad at all. I have to say that,” - he said before he drew back his arm and charged a blast, launching it his way as he followed its trail, coming at Okarot with a haymaker. Almost instinctually, Okarot ducked the blow.
"You're not bad yourself," grunted Okarot, "For an Earthling! But-"
He sprung upward, ready to drive into his foe's chin with a headbutt, already tensing himself for impact. "You're no match for a real Saiyan warrior!"
Okarot managed to block off his blast just as fine as he did, and he didn’t expect any less from him, else it’d have been rather disappointing. Then, the Saiyan dodged Cornatto’s haymaker and rushed forward with a headbutt to his chin, which, connected and rather painfully to the Earthling Saiyan. After all, Saiyans were rather hardheaded, in the physical way that is. "Not if I have anything to say about it!"
As he did, though, he couldn’t waste the chance to counterattack, and as such, Cornatto let his hands grip on his head, grabbing him as the Earthling Saiyan drew back his head; both from the blow received and to do what he had just thought of. He leaned forward, driving his forehead into his chin as he faced the blow with another of his own. Then, Cornatto let his fists connect with his face.
His face tensed before the blow, but it did nothing to soften the attack when it crashed into his face. The half-blood went sailing backward through the air, pain throbbing in his face, wind rushing around as he flew. He forced himself to a stop in the air, and grit his teeth, spitting towards the Earth-Saiyan. There was a certain anger in his stance.
"I'm going to break you," grunted the Vegetan Saiyan, "Make you realize how weak you really are."
He flew up high in the air, hovering once he was high above the man. The Earth's wind blew through his Saiyan black hair as he flew. He was going to make the Earthling work in this fight, one way or another. Perhaps an Earthling was not used to a flying fight, but the people of Vegeta were more than used to fighting from all directions. He held both his hands in front of him and began to let off a series of alternating ki blasts, aimed right at the man.
Cornatto’s face reflected his state of mind; he was serious, with eyes set on the fellow Saiyan as he looked at him thoroughly; he might have pressed a button after all. “I’ll show you the power of the Earthlings!” - he told him, adjusting his stance to watch him fly upwards right over him.
At that point, what he was about to do was rather obvious; drop something on him, either that or drop himself which could have been a rather curious move, but he simply let his feet push against the ground, moving away from the Ki Barrage range. His aura was sparkling around his body as he took off, rushing towards the Saiyan, his plan was to hit him with an elbow in the face.
Okarot flinched as the man came closer, the memory of the man's last attack still fresh in his mind and on his face. As the man came closer, elbow ready to strike, Okarot lunged to the side at the last moment, getting around the man. As he moved, he lunged for the Earthling-Saiyan's throat, wrapping his hands around it as if they were a steel vice. His blood was boiling.
As he made his move, he grunted, "Power of Earthlings?" Don't make me laugh. I've spent my entire life trying to prove I'm more than an Earthling! I'll be damned if I let myself be overshadowed so easily! You can not be a Super Saiyan, it’s impossible!"
As he spoke, he continued to wrap his hands around the man's throat and tried to choke the man into submission.
Cornatto snarled, clenching his teeth tightly as he felt the strong grip of the other man on his throat. “Hey, let go!” - he said with a muffled voice. His eyes side-eyeing him as he tried to force his way out of the grip, and also tried to lean his head closer to the throat to bite him, but it wasn’t that easy.
The man didn’t seem to appreciate his earlier statement on the Earthlings, for some reason. He mentioned that in all his life, he fought for him to be recognized as more than just an Earthling, what did he mean? It made no sense to him whatsoever. But, good chance he just meant that he wanted to prove his race’s superiority just in general. In a few cases, he could understand a Saiyan’s desire to always be on top, the one to be the strongest in the universe. Even if Cornatto didn’t feel the same urge, no. For him to be the strongest would only be boring, after all, there’d be no one strong enough to actually stand up to him.
The man struggled to speak, and Okarot grinned, a sick grin that took pleasure in the violence. There was a creeping cruelty, working its way through his mind like a maggot through the rotten meat. He squeezed tighter, trying to choke the life from his foe. A low chuckle worked its way into his throat as the man struggled, trying to take a bite out of Okarot. This was what he lived for: brutal violence, fights that really made him feel alive. He never felt half so elated as when his blood was boiling and his well-being was on the line.
This was his Saiyan blood. His ancestors had led him to this moment: choking the life from one of his own- no, he reminded himself, the man was basically an Earthling- and he loved. Something primal was overtaking him, the same way one might lose control beneath the celestial light of a moon. It was raw, it was right. The way the man's muscle and skin slid and moved beneath his skin, the pulse of the lifeblood flowing through his body, struggling to break free... It brought Okarot pleasure. This is what he was bred for, his Earthling blood is damned.
But something was wrong. The man was not going quietly. A bitterness rose in the back of his throat, a kind of anger spring up in response to the man's continued defiance. How dare he not give up? How dare he, the damn bastard? Why wouldn't he just go limp and take it?
“If you won’t let go… then have it!” - he exclaimed as he let his head slowly rear forward before he launched the back of his head against the Saiyan’s face, slamming it into his nose and managing to break free. His nose twisted beneath the blow, and suddenly, Okarot was aware of a metallic taste filling his mouth: blood, that mixed blood of his. Pain shot through his head, spreading like wildfire. His hands flew from the neck of his foe and went to his face. And as they moved, he'd known he had made a mistake. This was just what his foe had wanted.
Then he locked Okarot in a grip in his arms, holding him firmly as he rolled forward and launched themselves onto the ground, aiming to slam Okarot against the ground with the power of kinetic force-- a fall from such a height, and with someone pressing you against the ground… wasn’t certainly going to be nice.
Okarot surged forth, trying to respond, but it was no use: the man had him tight. Suddenly, they were descending, hurtling towards the ground like some kind of Saiyan cannonball. He wriggled in place, trying to free himself from the binding grip of the Earthling-Saiyan, but it was no use.
Suddenly, he made contact with the ground. Dust and debris flew into his eyes and mouth, beckoning reflexive tears. His breaths became harsh as the world grew darker around him, pain the only thing he felt aside from the coarse ground beneath him. His ears rang like bells, and his mind felt clouded, the fog of his injury only broken by two things: pain and a growing anger.
"Y-you bastard," he choked out, "I... I've had enough of you!"
He coughed, blood in his throat. Things were not going his way. Not even close. If he was going to still win, he was going to have to really turn things around, and quickly. He pushed himself around, channeling his energy into his fist as he did. "Get off of me!" He roared as he slammed his ki-charged fist into the man. For good measure, as began his first assault, he quickly pressed the palm of his hand to his foe's head in a kind of pincer move, and as he did, he expelled brilliant purple light from the palm of his hand, attempting to fry the man's face with an energy beam.
His half-clenched left fist placed itself near his mouth, his arms slightly bent while his arms were bent at a° 90 angle, while the other arm was placed close to his body.
As Okarot’s energy attack was about to hit him, the ray passed right through him, almost as if it had indeed penetrated his body but in reality, it was nothing more than an afterimage as the Earthling Saiyan reappeared right in front of the image left by himself. Even if it did sting a little bit since he had narrowly dodged his technique.
And as he did, then he flew straight towards Okarot with his right arm placed about the height of his bust, his arm bent as he hit him right in the face with his elbow. Then he went for one more punch, making sure that Okarot’s body would touch the ground before driving off into a flurry of punches and kicks that lifted up a huge cloud of debris and caused the ground beneath them to crack. "TAAARRRYAAAAA...!!!”
His blows connected to him, and furthermore, he was somewhat concerned that he was nowhere close to fighting back; he was taking on most of his blows! Soon, he realized that Okarot was done for-- there was no way that he could just continue fighting in that state.
The Earthling Saiyan pulled back, floating in mid-air before he descended and let his boots press against the ground, standing next to his body. He let out a sharp exhale, catching his breath as he looked at him up and down; both had certainly got a good amount of blows and kicks in, although it was obvious that the match had come to an end.
“There is no reason for us to keep fighting. Look at you, you can’t keep yourself up, I am not having fun with this anymore. All of those hits you landed weren’t even supposed to touch me, I was just toying with you, but you couldn’t even see me coming at full power, this is not a fight, not in your state,” - he stated, looking down for a brief moment as he set his gaze upon the sky, wind brushing against him as his hair locks brushed against each other briefly.
“But to think that, heh, you were defeated by an Earthling and Alliance Saiyan. It’s hilarious, given just how much you were blabbering about the Empire’s power,” - said the man, evidently mocking the other with a smirk as he couldn’t help but chuckle.
“Guess what, though. I will let you live. I should kill you for what you did to Gnash, but I am better than you. I warn you, though, if you ever dare to lay a finger on Natto or Earth, I won’t be so generous next time,” - he told him before he turned, taking a few steps away from him before he told him one more thing; "So long," - and lifted off the ground, flying away at high speed.
It wasn’t long before the injured, black-haired Saiyan finally forced his knees to stand as he glared at the distant figure of the Saiyan who was flying away at an impressive speed. “I… General of the Empire defeated by a guy from the Alliance and that bastard’s even an Earthling! No, this cannot stand!”
The Saiyan scoffed as he forced his form to step forward, his gaze set straight towards the ever so figure of Cornatto flying away. “I am the great Okarot! That is why you—... you Earthling scumbag— your death is written from my hands! I...—I will be a Super Saiyan, way more powerful than you! And you… you won’t be there to fear me because today— TODAY YOU WILL DIE BY MY HAND...!!!”
All he could do was to fire one last purple ki wave, aimed right at Cornatto.
It was then that the Super Saiyan turned his frame once more to look at Okarot for one last time, as his clueless expression quickly switched into one of anger as he launched his hand forth and unleashed a far greater ki wave that clashed for merely a few moments until it overwhelmed the others' attack.
“YOU FOOL!”
And soon enough, the male’s anger exploded and completely disintegrated the other Saiyan’s form from existence. Cornatto couldn’t help but stare, perhaps in regret or in shock but either way, it was finally over. To have experienced feelings as strong as that, rage had granted him power that not everyone could bestow and yet at what cost? With the death of his best friend, he had ascended and reached a new level of power, but was it worth it?
In the end, experiences that regarded power in different ways shaped Cornatto into who he was today. He did not actively seek an exact type of power, it was just his persona that sought not to fight to win but rather to test himself and better himself. The well being of others was also an interest of his, but although, it did not burn as strong as his love for combat, he did also wish people the best and did the best he could for them.
He was certainly not a Hero of his own choice, it was just things were, and perhaps that was for the best. Not to seek to become a heroic figure out of your own choice, to best evil for your reasons and not to be recognized for the mere accomplishment of having done a good deed. He liked to help others, that was about it. It was a nice feeling. It was just like a nice breeze of air in the morning that would fill your lungs with nothing other than positivity and the idea that everything would have been just fine.
The Earthling Saiyan loved that feeling, too. But what he most loved was the thrill to battle, he was not certainly a prideful Saiyan warrior but he was a warrior and martial artist to the core. More of a Saiyan than others that had touched the ground with their ideas that tapped into anything but what truly meant to be themselves, at times.
“HHHAAAAAHHHHHH!!! This is everything I have…!”
The male roared at the top of his lungs as the red-colored bright aura around his form widened and turned into a darker shade of red, the rough and obscure colors touching the Saiyan’s form as his Super Saiyan form barely had any hint left of its golden brightness. It was almost like the Afterlife would respond to the amazing power output the man was releasing and its walls of reality almost tremble against his overwhelming strength. But rather, it was completely tainted by the light until gusts of air, powerful enough to cause havoc on King Kai’s planet, suddenly took off as the man’s power level spiked up to the Super Saiyan Two level.
His hairstyle had turned far more rigid, with locks that looked like sharp blades capable of cutting through skin easily and blue, lightning sparks that were followed by red electricity caused by the Kaioken technique. He straightened his back and rose once more as he unleashed his full power. It was beyond anything that Cornatto had ever experienced before, if he were to be honest with himself, he was sure that the power output was equal to the one of a Super Saiyan Three! If he could unite this technique and the Super Saiyan Three together, he was sure that the results would have been amazing. Perhaps the time had come where he would have been a match for his old friend, Natto, but he was nowhere to be seen, it was a shame but that wouldn’t certainly stop the Turtle Hermit from ascending even further; to break his limits and unleash the entirety of his power.
Times Four. Five. No.
“TIMES TEN!! KAIOKEN TIMES TEN!!!”
[Super Saiyan Two Kaioken X10 [x42] | Power Level: 14.536.962]
His power exploded as the whole afterlife seemed to turn crimson as a red trail followed the movements of Cornatto who roared intensely with all of his power and immediately charged at high speed towards Galen and aimed to sidekick him up in the air before he’d fly up and roundhouse punch him away, following him with his newfound speed to elbow him in the stomach as he would turn around. In the end, Cornatto would unleash a barrage of punches and kicks before he’d try to kick him up in the air, followed by a knee in the back and a double axe handle blow right in the head to send him flying right into the ground of King Kai’s planet.
This has been sitting in my docs for three months! But to see how long it turned out, I can't help but be like this.

Cornatto charged at Galen with [AD][OT-3] Meteor Crash for PL 14.536.962!! Learned [PT-3] Kaioken Times Ten
Tomoroko decided she had enough of this fight and no longer being able to take on the humiliation of being toyed with by Cornatto as well as being surpassed by a mere earthling, she decided to give up on that fight and go away, leaving just Galen - who had his fierce Spirit Sword ready on his arm, and Cornatto who had so much power at his disposal that Galen couldn't even dream on winning by himself. "Without her I'm done for! But if I am to go down! I will go down kicking! I don't care how strong he is!" he thought to himself, gritting his teeth even harder. He prepared himself to attack Cornatto but before he could do that his ki exploded like never before and Galen froze where he was, widening his eyes and arching his brows as much as it was physically possible. "What the heck?! His ki! It's overflowing! It's... It's impossible!!" he gulped in disbelief as the saiyan pushed not only his transformation but the Kaioken technique to its very limits, reaching the mystical Kaioken times ten.
But instead of being afraid of this, Galen just grew more furious and determined and by concentrating his ki as much as he could, he forced himself beyond any reasonable limit. His veins were popping up like crazy and his muscle mass increased and twitched almost as if it was about to blow as he forced his ki to push his body beyond any natural limitation. His energy was also overflowing and the red aura around his fuchsia aura was now brighter and stronger than ever and so was his ki energy. By reaching the very core of his being he tapped into a legendary power that no normal human before him could ever dream of. He was becoming legend itself, even if he wasn't as impressive or epic as a saiyan, but for a normal man, born in a small farming village who later became a wandering swordsman in a quest of atonement and self-discovery, Galen had grown beyond his greatest dream.
"As if I would let you beat me in that too! I may be a human, but I am a warrior! I'm a protector of Earth and there's no way I will just stand in the side lines and watch you, Chris, Master Jie and everyone else do the fighting for me! I'm Galen, from Goddodin! A swordsman from the Orin Temple! The Keeper of Korin's Tower and protector of the lands beneath it! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" his scream came from his very soul as he finally unleashed all the power behind the Kaioken. "KAIOKEN TIMES TEN!!!" and much akin to Cornatto, he reached the pinnacle of the technique developed by King Kai.
[Super High Tension Kaioken x10. PL: 5,922,210]
As his power grew, so did the power in his Spirit Sword and as soon as he had done that, Cornatto was already in front of him, ready to strike him with all his power. With the Spirit Sword, he intercepted the first of Cornatto's attack, clashing so intensely that the ground beneath their feat cracked and the shock wave made the whole Snake Way shake. Galen grunted as he felt the impact of his leg against the sharp sword, but it didn't stop there. Cornatto kept coming, this time aiming to punch him to once again have it intercepted by the blade, but the power Galen could pack behind his energy sword was weaving and he knew that he couldn't really keep up with the barrage of attacks coming his way. The final clash was against his elbow, when the attack of the saiyan finally broke his energy sword, leaving Galen completely vulnerable to a barrage of and kicks that send him high up in the air, screaming in pain as he struggled to keep himself alive in the fight.
But all his efforts were for nothing as Cornatto kept on hitting him with such heavy attacks that he was slowly losing his grip. First he was knocked out of his kaioken, then he was knocked out of his super high tension form and finally, as the saiyan double axe handled him, he was knocked out of consciousness itself, being sent THROUGH the planet and to the other side of the small planet, into the air, only to be pushed back by the gravity and generate another crater upon the impact of his almost lifeless body on the ground, being utterly defeated.
Galen lasted as much as he could and pushed himself as much as he could possibly fathom, but in the end Cornatto was far above his league, even with the Kaioken.
It would take him a couple of days to wake up because of the severity of his injuries, but thanks to his spiritual body which healed far faster than a normal physical body, it would take him about a week to be back in shape so he could continue his training under King Kai. Unfortunately, by the time Galen woke up again, Cornatto was already gone in a quest to recruit the rest of the team for the Tournament of Power. But his training with King Kai wasn't over because there was still one technique he had to learn before leaving the tiny and now quite destroyed planet.
