The two’s witty back and forths were kind of fun, most of the time at least. Sometimes they got to be a little grating for Tarro, who wasn’t always the biggest fan of words. Thankfully this was not one of those times for the Saiyan. He frowned as she played on his weaknesses. He hated being compared to Carva on anything. If he could he would never associate with that brute. “Hmph,” he said in response to her words about Carva and her experience with him. His eyes widened however as she made a very rude retort! It caught him off guard, but he had to admit it was a good one. “Pft.. He’s not my type,” he muttered before chuckling. After a brief silence they both knew that she had won this round. He didn’t know how to respond to that. The two of them snuggled close affectionately underneath the sheets - keeping warm. He enjoyed the feeling.
He listened to her talk about her tail and the story of what he took was a rough life. Perhaps he was blessed to have been born with full Saiyan genetics, having never gone through what she went through. He sympathized with the story. “Well now if anyone dares to say a damn thing, they can answer to me. Tail or no Tail - if you have Saiyan blood you’re one of us in my eyes…,” he said with a soft smile, pecking her gently before snuggling, holding her in his arms.
As the two lay there in bed though- his lover began to talk about something much more serious- the conversation shifting. Listening to her as she communicated something akin to a fear about their relationship - his face began more serious. Whether or not this should be a secret. Well that was a tough one. He didn’t like the idea of keeping it a secret, but was it a good idea? He instantly thought of Jarvis. Of Carva even. There were so many complications to consider. “Hm… that’s a tough one, love,” he said. “On one hand it’s true that some cowards might resort to sneaky tactics to manipulate you. On the other hand it means deceiving our allies, and does complicate our lives a bit…,” he murmured.
This wasn’t something he was just going to be able to decide. “We should probably discuss this a bit more before coming to a conclusion,” was his reply. He didn’t know where he stood yet. Perhaps more discussion would help them decide.

The Saiyan hybrid giggled at Tarro’s reaction to her jab, her blue eyes appearing to shine as she gazed into his. She knew that she had won this particular round of banter, although she would possibly lose one day with how good Tarro was at it.
“I certain hope he isn't. Not that it matters, since you're mine now. You were hard to get and are unlike anyone else I’ve ever been with. No one is better than you. I’m glad I ended up with you. I can end things with a perfect record now: no one has ever been able to resist the temptation of taking me to bed when I wanted someone.”
Tomina gave Tarro a mischievous grin. Tomina was a bit vain sometimes. Although she was playing with him again. She wasn’t even thinking about the others she slept with when she decided to accept Tarro as her mate.
Tomina slid her hand other the covers, trailing her finger up Tarro’s chest before rubbing it in circles. She liked the closeness they had right now, as opposed to everyone else, who she had not shared a tender moment with. Tomina chuckled as Tarro proclaimed that he wouldn't let anyone insult her for being a half blood.
“You’re a little bit late. The people who tormented me for it are long dead. I figured out that once I became stronger than them, they stopped giving me crap for being a hybrid. Although your enthusiasm to protect me has been noted. I’ll remember that my knight vowed to protect me the next time we go at it.”
Tomina purred out, sliding her hand to his waist and holding Tarro close. She leaned up and pecked his lips, revealing in the comforting embrace that Tarro had pulled her into. Even though she was much stronger than him, Tomina felt safe next to him like this.
<He really is my knight in shining armor. I always knew he was different, but to think hr thought so strongly for me. I wish I could have seen it earlier. He really is the best.>
Tomina rested her head just above Tarro’s neck, enjoying the warmth and comfort that Tarro was providing for her. When he talked about how he felt about how they should handle how obvious they would make their relationship, Tomina replied almost instantly.
“I don’t want to keep it a secret. I want everyone to know that we're together.”[/color]
Tomina slid her leg over Tarro’s, looking at him seriously. It wasn’t as though the happiness had faded from her, but it wasn't appropriate for this kind of conversation.
“I’m more than confident that we can handle any treachery sent our way. Besides, I’d never give in if you were taken hostage. There's no guarantee the enemy would keep their word, and I won't let myself be subjugated when they might just kill you anyway. I’ll do everything in my power to save you if that scenario came to pass. Although I intend on pushing you so that no one will be able to do that to you.”
Tomina gave Tarro a moment to let that sink in. Tomina's position was very clear. Why had she given Tarro a choice then? Although it all became clear fairly quickly. “I’m giving you this choice because you're my mate, and I’m not going to force you to do something you don't want to do. If you feel like the risk is too much, I won't think any less of you for it. You now know what you're in for, so now it's up to you.”
Tomina’s eyes gazed up into Tarro's, looking at him expectantly. Tomina had said she wouldn't mind if Tarro wanted to keep things a secret, but she had made her position very clear. The hybrid waited for an answer. She had put things into Tarro's hands, and it was now up to him to decide where things went.
Tarro chuckled again, finding her response cute. He supposed the newness of their relationship did that to him. Normally he’d try to chain down her ego, but at this moment he was… well… happy. For the first time in awhile. And so he simply wanted to revel in that happiness as much as he could. “Well you certainly put up a fight. I guess in the end you were just too stubborn for me,” he chuckled while grinning. The two’s closeness made him feel secure. Having someone in his bed like this was… comforting. Not the kind of comfort one felt to make them believe nothing can harm them, rather it was more akin to the bliss one felt when on a high. The whole world seemed different from the perspective of the two of them keeping warm under the covers of this spacious space vessel.
His smile widened at the response to his seemingly chivalrous statement, though he hadn’t thought much of it when he said it. “True. I guess I’ll just have to save it for the next idiot daring enough to look down on my mate,” he stated plainly with a grin. He wouldn’t stand for anyone who would attack her. Flare and Komatsu came to mind, as he remembered the many things they said to her on Earth. Though he wasn’t sure he could ever close the gap of power there.. He would certainly try. Pressing against her lips gently briefly. God- he loved the taste of her lips on his. He could lay here with her for hours, but they both knew they couldn’t. They had other things to do before arriving on the planet after all.
Tarro’s smile faded in response to Tomina’s however- his eyes peering at her with interest. When she brought up how she felt about keeping them a secret he listened, though his smile cracked back a little as he heard her reasons. It wasn’t the most comforting sentiment, but he wasn’t exactly a man who desired such things. He was just as much a warrior as she was. To expect her to cower and let herself be compromised for him was about as high as disgrace could get. Though he was becoming a more enlightened Saiyan as far as morals and ethics were concerned, the core of his pride was still well intact. “Aye. I’m a bit set in my ways I guess, heh. I’m not very fond of using deception like that either. I prefer to face a lot of my problems head on. Though I would like it if I could somehow learn how to block our enemies from reading my thoughts. A few precautions like that wouldn’t be too much I think…,” he said with a nod.
“Besides… if everyone knows about us… then I'm totally allowed to punch Carva’s teeth in as he continuously tries to proposition you~,” he said with a rather soft smile, though the statement was completely serious, as he’d do that.

Tomina’s only response to Tarro’s highlighting of her stubbornness was a wide smirk. She was especially proud of getting Tarro. Although technically he was the one who managed to catch her. But she was never going to admit that.
The Saiyan hybrid smirk widened into a grin at Tarro’s proclamation of taking out the people who looked down on her. Even though the only people who could look down on her at this point currently far outclassed Tarro.
“My, my. That's quite the claim Tarro. Beating up anyone who tries looking down on me. Your level of confidence is astounding. Were you like this growing up on Natto, or am I just rubbing some traits onto you?”
Whatever the reason, Tomina really liked his level of confidence. Tomina returned Tarro’s kiss, a soft jolt running through her body as her lips pressed against his. Was it going to be like this every time they kissed? She certainly hoped so. Tomina rubbed Tarro’s chest, reveling in the closeness both of them were sharing.
Tomina’s smile faded a bit as they moved to a more serious subject matter. Tomina was wondering if he would ever bring it up. It was such an important thing that she planned on bringing it up while training Tarro.
“I’ll teach you the technique Natto developed to protect the mind. That style Natto created is a crude imitation of the Vegetean style, and I normally would have cut off a hand before learning a single tech. That Kai and Ash forced my hand though. God, learning that tech was like trying to swallow my own vomit.”
Tomina hated that she had been forced to learn that technique. A lot of people fought using more cowardly methods though, and she had to find a way around it. Still, no one could breach her mind now. Tomina shifted, tapping a finger under her chin thoughtfully.
“I’m definitely going to have to teach you that technique. It’s effectiveness is dependent on how strong you are. That works out perfectly though, since I plan on teaching you the Vegetean arts. I’m going to push you harder then you’ve ever been pushed before.”
The moment that Tarro made his position on their relationship clear, he would find himself suddenly underneath his mate. Tomina had flipped him so that she was on top of him, her hands pressing against the mattress. She was staring down at him, her eyes gleaming with excitment.
“I’m glad that you feel the same way. Now that we’ve got that settled, I’m going to mark you so that everyone knows that you're mine.”
Tomina leaned down, pressing her mouth against Tarro’s neck. When she pulled her lips away, she left behind a clearly visible hickey on his skin. She didn’t pull back completely though. Tomina leaned forward, whispering softly to Tarro in a sultry tone meant just for him.
“I thought I could hold back and show restraint for our first time, but you're tempting me more by the second. I’ve never been with a man who would confidently defend me like you would. Your jealousy towards Carva gets me riled up. The fact that you care so much as to fight opponents stronger than you has lit a fire inside of me. Since we're both bound for hell when we die, I’m going to give you pure ecstasy and bring you to Heaven as I please.”
Tomina slide her hands down, laying her upper body down so that her chest was pressing against Tarros. Her palms pressed against the bed, slightly raising her upper body enough to look down at Tarro.
She was gazing at him with an intense, smoldering stare. Tomina felt a fire inside of her heat up so much, she was sure that Tarro would be able to feel it. Tomina didn't want this relationship to be based entirely around sex. Yet despite having a tactical mind, she was still a slave to her emotions.
<God, how does he do this to me? I’ve never wanted someone as badly as I do him right now.>
Not only did Tomina like Tarro more than anyone else, he often pressed all the right buttons, whether he realized it or not. He appealed to her vanity, exchanged witty remarks that gave her a run for her money, and expressed a strong desire to protect her, despite how much stronger she was then him.
She especially loved his jealousy towards Carva. The fact that Tarro was possessive of her to the point where he’d take on stronger foes with him drove her wild. And this was on top of every other trait she attracted her to him. She was hopelessly in love with Tarro. Despite their difference in their power, she was Tarro's just as much as he was hers. Although right now she was going to take the reins.
"Maybe a little of both. I've always been like this, but you brought it back out of me~," he said with a smirk, his eyes looking at her rather lustfully. She wasn't the only one suffering from the excitement of their joining. He was completely consumed by her right now, perhaps that was what new love was like. All reason, all logic, all their focus was directed into this wild inferno of a romance, as it burned through everything in their path. Neither of them could stop it from overtaking them as they were far too deep in. This same hot fire burned at Tarro as their lips touched again, smiling as their lips parted. God, he never smiled this much before. She was really killing his signature brooding. Tarro nodded seriously however as Tomina began to talk about some mind technique she learned to keep out others. "I'm sure that must have been tough for you, what with your stubbornness and all," he said with a teasing smile on his face. She was stubborn, and even sometimes frustrating. Ever since they met her stubbornness had grown to bug him and make him angry. Over time however he found himself enjoying their arguments, their banter. He realized all the annoyances and anger was in actuality just passion, and it was then he realized that he was blindly in love with her. In a way he had only been once before.
With Aru, at least before she broke his heart. In two completely different ways.
He eased his hold of her so she could shift and make herself comfortable. It was kind of cute how seriously she was taking this. He had found since he met her that his love for her was different from his love for Aru. Aru had been his best friend for the longest of times, so his love for her was only natural. It wasn't as passionate however, but rather just... comfort and warmth. He respected her more than anyone. Perhaps he idolized her even. With Tomina however he found himself unbelievably under her spell. Since finding out she was a Demon, a part of him couldn't help but wonder if she was an enchantress. That could explain why this felt so intense, so unbelievably powerful. He found himself understanding her, connecting with her. He recognized her faults, but saw past them. He was hopelessly and completely devoted to her. And that wasn't ever going to change. As his thoughts flurried his head, he smiled to himself.
His attention was broken however as Tomina spoke of teaching him her martial arts and teaching him her techniques. "You did promise to train me before leaving for Earth," he chuckled, as he reminded her. He laughed again however at the last part about pushing him harder than he'd been pushed before. "I don't know... you were pushing me pretty hard earlier," he said jokingly, speaking about their prior intimate moments. "It'll be hard to top that," he noted sternly, though the slight inflection of his tone indicated that he wasn't serious. Even he was surprised however as she flipped him on his back, the covers wrapping both of them together a bit snugly. His black eyes staring into hers as he gazed upon her with a look of true desire now. She knew how to get him worked up. He was only just recovered from their previous consecutive sessions, and already she wanted more. This was the first time he'd found himself out stamina'd in the sheets.
He groaned softly as she kissed his neck, whispering into her ear sensually, "Alright, but this is the last time for today...," he said with a small giggle. His hands reached out as the two began their final bit of love making for the day. What she whispered next into his ear though only made it all the more intense. His smile widened as he said one last thing before the two got busy... "I love you, Tomina," he said.
What happened next was easy... all bets were off. Though he wasn't sure if they were going to be able to contain their volume this time...

“Hmm, then I better make sure it doesn't get buried inside again. I like these new sides of yourself that you're showing today.”
Tomina loved the the hungry look Tarro was giving her right now. She had never seen Tarro so alive before, so full of vibrant energy. It was all because of her. She wasn’t going to let him down, and continue to being him as much joy that he was giving her right now.
Tomina simply shrugged when Tarro commented on how hard it must have been to give in and learn Natto’s mental resistance technique with how stubborn she was. There really wasn't much more she could add: Tarro had hit the nail on the head.
“It wasn’t that hard once I sat down and learned it. Thanks to Kinoko’s training, I’ve become quite efficient in mental techniques. I still prefer throwing fists instead of thoughts, but it pays off to be prepared.”
Tarro’s laughter was very contagious. She was pulled along for the ride, her own voice ringing out in laughter. Tomina swatted at his chest with her palm, looking at him with amusement.
“That’s right, I did promise you some training. Well tomorrow you're going to get it. You’d be surprised with how hard I can push people while shaping them up. I can promise you that things will get more intense as time goes on.”
Tomina had said that with a straight face, although knowing her it was possible that it was another intentional innuendo. When Tomina made her next move on Tarro. She froze when she heard him… giggle? Yeah, that was definitely a giggle. She gave Tarro a smirk. She wasn't going to let him hear the end of that one.
Tomina leaned forward, freezing once again when Tarro said words she didn't expect him him to repeat that day. He had said them so easily this time too, like it was the most natural thing in the world for him. Her face broke off into a dazzling smile.
“Ohhhh boy. I didn't think I could want you even more, but you pulled it off. Prepare yourself darling: I’m doing a bit extra just for that.”
Tomina made due on that remark. She found a way to spice things up even further. Needless to say, the both of them had quite a bit of fun.
The Next Day
Tomina was humming to herself as she put breakfast on the table. It wasn't anything too elaborate: just the standard rations that they ate while traveling. Two glasses of water were set on the table as well.
Tomina was dressed in her armored gear. After taking a quick shower, she had gone into her battle gear to prepare for her training with Tarro. She looked over at the sleeping figure with a smile. She still couldn't believe that she had a true mate. Someone who loved her for who she was.
<I’d normally say that he's the lucky one to be graced with my love, but I feel like the lucky one foe ending up with.>
Tarro had been her best subordinate, although it never really felt like that. He had good sense about him and understood how things worked. He became the person she fell back on the most, trusting him with important things. They were often on the same wavelength as one another. It had been a unique interaction between Captain and squad member.
Now they were an item. Tomina honestly couldn't see herself with anyone else. They were on the same page, and understood each other perfectly. He was everything she could have wanted in a mate. Tomina never thought she'd feel a happiness like this ever again. It was a welcome light in an otherwise dark universe.
“Well I’m prepared for anything you can throw at me…,” he said, unable to help getting the last word in before the two kissed again... Tarro had slept great following their last session. It was probably the best night of sleep had had in a year… he could hardly believe how refreshed he felt when he got up. He didn’t groan when he got out of bed, nor did he try to get a few extra minutes of sleep in. Rather the Saiyan warrior actually had some energy, getting out of bed rather happily. He.. was happy. At least for the moment. To think that things could have gone from so bad to so good in just one day’s time. The smile that he had on his face was unusual to anyone who had known him in the last year. Tarro was usually more of a smirk type of guy, or even a dashing grin. But a genuine smile - that was rare sight to behold, maybe unrecognizable even. Still… he knew he couldn’t dwell on his happiness. They had serious business to do today and when they landed (wherever it was that they were going) they would have to work on their revival efforts.
The first thing he saw when awoke was his mate in her battle armor just out of the shower. “Something on my face?” he asked with a chuckle. He then rose out of bed and made his own way toward the shower now. “I’ll be out in a little bit~, love,” he said with a wink. Turning on the water - Tarro began washing himself as the shower door closed behind him. It was a amazing that no matter how wet his hair got… when he dried it it just popped back into place without changing at all. Coming out with a towel wrapped around his body - Tarro reached inside the case where his alcohol was stashed. Luckily he had carried a spare pair of tights and armor for the mission in case something happened to the one he was wearing. The last edition got pretty much blown to pieces by that kid. Tarro would change into his new clothes without too much trouble. Another black jumpsuit with the dark green chestplate, with dark grey on the pads and the edges of the armor. It was nothing new to see - as it was his standard uniform. If she wanted to see him in fashion outside of this - they’d have to go on a vacation at some point outside of duty. He very rarely wore new attire. And with that he waited for her response, expecting her to take charge as usual. WC: 443

At the sound of Tarro’s voice, Tomina turned to look over at the face of her mate. She gave him a wry smile at his comment.
“Well it's my own fault. I made a mess out of everything. Go get washed up darling: there are matters to discuss once you get out.”
Tarro came out from the shower with a towel wrapped around him. Tomina watched him, shamelessly watching as he got dressed. He had a lot of muscle, as most Saiyan males tended to have. He had just the right amount of them in her eyes. She liked the way they flexed and rippled when they moved. He was also well equipped I'm other areas as well.
Once he got dressed, Tomina sat up straight, looking over at him as she got down to business.
“I intend on teaching you the variant of the Vegetan Arts that was passed down through my family. Some high ranking members of the Empire were taught some of the royal variant techniques, save for one. I learned all of these techniques over a period of time. I can condense the training while making it a little harsher without too many issues. The final technique might be problematic though.”
Tomina paused, letting this all sink in before she moved on. Tarro had the right to know what he was getting into. It was a considerably risky proposition.
Tarro grinned as he felt her eyes watching him get dressed. “You’re not very subtle you know. I can feel your chest hardening from over here…,” he chuckled before turning to face her. After whatever banter she prescribed back he would let the two of them get back to business. She certainly knew how to get right into it. The Vegetean Arts - the style of combat taught to children and soldiers who fought in the Empire. Everyone had expected Tarro to learn the Soy Arts growing up on Natto.. And in a sense he had. The basics of it anyway. But truthfully it never did quite fit him. The Soy School was rough, aggressive and these were traits that Tarro had. But it was also.. Undisciplined. Some would call it savage even. And that made it something that the Saiyan was not very good at even during his peak. “I’ll be ready for whatever you throw at me, love~,” he said with a bit of confidence and a smirk. “Besides… fierce and grueling training is exactly what I need right now anyways, so we’ll be killing two birds with one stone.”

Tomina smirked at Tarro’s banter. She liked it when he was acting like this. It was much better than him brooding around all day.
“And I can see your dick hardening just from the thought of me getting aroused. You're very familiar with how I am when I’m all worked up, and wouldn't mind going through that again. Besides, why shouldn't I admire my mate's physique? There's no need for modesty at this point.”
Tomina purred out, locking her eyes with his. Oh, how fun their banter was. Sadly they couldn't spend all day doing that, and had to talk about training. Which admittedly was something that she was looking forward to doing with Tarro.
“You better be, since I’m going to make this a very hard regiment. Just because you're my mate doesn’t mean I’m going easy on you. We’ll see how much you love me by the time this is all over, darling.”
Now there was a word she would never have seen herself using. Still it only seemed appropriate as a response to Tarro calling her love. It seemed like both of them had words they intended to call one another, and no one else.
Tarro stared at his lover, the two looking back at each other with their shared smirks in silence for a moment. It was uncanny how well they got along. “Pft. You know full well I’d be tearing into you right here, right now on this floor if I was aroused. My mind’s on food and training right now, love~” Tarro quipped back. He walked over by her until he was right next to her, reaching over her with the two really close as he grabbed one of the rations. They weren’t that flavorful, but they filled him up he guessed. He’d have the time to enjoy a real meal when they got off this tin can of a spaceship. He didn’t say a word, teasing her by being so close to her. She was hyper sexual and easily aroused. He had to say it was quite entertaining.
“A hard regiment? Sounds just like my style. Besides I’m quite used to you being rough, if you remember.. Heh..,” he said as his grin widened. “Being serious though - I’m ready as soon as we finish up with these rations. We’ve got a lot to cover,” he said as his smile faded into a stern expression. They had goals to accomplish and enemies to kill out there in the Universe. He wasn’t going to slack off now. Even if he was happy for the first time in awhile.

Tomina’s smirk widened, leaning her upper body towards Tarro. Where had this Saiyan been all her life? If only he had been like this when she picked him up at the bar. They wouldn't have danced around things for as long as they did if he had. Although maybe it wouldn’t have meant as much as it did now. So maybe it was for the best that things played out the way that they did.
“Oh my, Tarro. And here I thought you were a much classier Saiyan. Turns out you love getting down and dirty as well. You know, I don't think I believe that you’d do that kind of thing. Perhaps sometime you’ll prove me wrong.”
Tomina gave her mate a flirtatious wink. Oh, she would love the idea of Tarro just having his way with her. She wasn’t going to take the reigns all the time, and Tarro taking the reins without any prompt would be rather exciting. She grinned up at him as he stood beside her and let out yet another suggestive comment.
“Well for your sake you better not get used to it too quickly. Although I bet just the thought of rough play gets you hard.”
Oh, she did enjoy that type of bantering.Tomina stood up, reaching out and poking Tarro forehead with a finger. She had an amused glint in her eyes.
“Hey Tarro, do me a favor and don’t go all serious on me again until we get into the gravity chamber. I’d like to see you smile for a little while longer.”
Tomina liked seeing her new mate happy. It also brightened her spirits up as well. Considering everything that had gone on in their lives up until now, she felt like they deserved all the happiness they could get.
Tarro’s gaze flickered downward for the briefest of moments as she pointed her chest up at him. She knew how to tease him, that was for sure. He grinned at the view for a second before putting the ration in his mouth. When he was done and finished listening to her flirting- he simply laughed lightly. “It’s only a matter of time, that’s for sure,” he retorted back playfully, finding the spirit of their banter light and amusing to him. He was much less wholesome than she was making him out to be. Maybe one day he’d show her how much.
Tarro was trying to avoid getting her riled up too much though, as he really was serious about training with her today. He worried that if he poked her too much, then they might end up getting swept into the moment and getting carried away. They were both pretty passionate after all, the last day or so fresh on his mind as evidence. Training today was just more important. He needed all the help he could get in order to advance. “I’ll try to pace myself,” he then said almost sarcastically, not really worried about the intensity of the training. He felt he was ready for anything.
He was a bit surprised as she got up and suddenly extended a finger toward him. Not sure if this was a test - the Saiyan wasn’t quite sure what was coming or how much force it was going to have. He let her poke succeed however, trusting that she wasn’t going to preemptively attack him (though he was curious on why she did that). This faded however as it seemed to be a simple poke, though he found the gesture odd to say the least. Before her arm retracted however he grabbed it. It wasn’t necessarily a rough grab, though one could hardly call it soft either. It was just simply... firm. He pulled her into him with a slight tug, and when she came into him held her by the waist. With the two in close proximity of each other with the male Saiyan holding her close to him- he simply stood there in the moment with her as he smiled. When she asked him to keep the smile up longer, it only grew. It seemed like an easy request.
“Alright, love. I can maintain it a bit longer for you…,”

Tarro had been such a gentleman before. Now he was unashamedly admiring her assets with a smile on his face. Well, that wasn't exactly true. Tarro didn't stare for that long. He admired her figure for a short period of time before getting back to the conversation. It would be unfair to sort him with the unsavory lot who wouldn't stop staring at her. He was a gentleman in his own unique way.
He wasn't eyeing her like a piece of meat like many people had in the past. He was respecting her while also appreciating what she had. It was one of the things that drew her to Tarro. He respected her while at the same time acknowledging her beauty.
Tomina stretched her arms above her head, her chest pushing out further and enhancing Tarro’s view. She liked the special kind of attention that only Tarro gave her, and she wanted him to know that. She conveyed that to him without saying a single word on the subject matter.
“Oh, I know it's only a matter of time, and I can barely wait for it. Well, I’m going to have to be patient for awhile. It makes the payoff all the better once we get there.”
Tomina gave her mate a coy little smile. She honestly was eager to see what Tarro had in store for her. He was the most unpredictable partner she had ever had, she didn’t know what to expect with him. Traces of her small grin remained on her face as she talked to Tarro about his training.
“You will pace yourself just fine. Even though you’ll be put through hell, you’ll make it through the training regiment. You’re my mate, and the most capable person I know. I wouldn't have accepted you as my mate if I didn't believe in you.”
Tomina’s eyes widened in surprise as Tarro grabbed her arm and pulled her in close. She looked up at her mate in astonishment as he held her by the waist. Where did that come from? Tomina wasn't complaining though: she liked the level of assertiveness he was displaying. She smiled back, reaching up and running her fingers through his hair.
"My my my... Tarro, if this is what you're like when you're happy, then I best make sure you never keep brooding for long. You have an amazing smile. I’ve got to make sure it lasts until we get to the training room.”
Tomina gently cupped both of Tarro’s cheeks with her gloved hands. Her fingertips gently traced the outline of his face. She leaned up and kissed Tarro gently on the lips. It was a sweet, tender kiss with no trace of the lust that they usually had.She felt warmth spread throughout her body. She didn’t want the moment to end.
Tomina pulled back after a minute, giving her mate a sweet smile. She backed up, sliding out from his grip on her waist. They couldn't spend their whole day like this after all. Which was probably what would happen if they didn't get going.
“Alright Tarro, we need to get going. There's a lot of ground to cover, so we can't screw around and slack off.”
Tomina walked towards the door, traversing slowly so that Tarro would be able to follow her. She wasn’t in a rush to get to the training room either: she was going to cherish every moment she had with her beloved mate.
“Oh you have no idea..,” he teased with a wink at the notion that it’d pay off when they got there. But he needed to preserve his energy for the training. If he got too winded he may not have the energy for what he had in mind for her. To be honest he wasn’t quite sure what Tomina had in mind. He had a feeling that all of their previous training sessions were somehow child’s play compared to what she actually had in store for him. And those particular sessions on their own had been pretty grueling. He was both excited, and admittedly a little terrified.
He had to believe he could handle it though. Not just for her sake, but for his as well. “I’ll try not to disappoint you then~” he would say before he pulled her into close proximity. If he’d known taking such initiative would heat her up like this, he’d have done it more the previous night. He kissed back, the two of them pressing their lips gently against the others for a brief but exciting pause in the conversation. “It’s all because of you…,” he would say in response to the complement of his smile. Even before all the devastation and the tragedy, he couldn’t recall a time where he was as happy as this. They were in the midst of a colossal disaster and yet neither seemed conscious of it, as they got lost in the other completely.
He allowed her to pull away from him, knowing that the moment needed to end now (despite his reservations). “Alright. We can screw around after we’re done. Assuming I can still move that is...” he would crack on as one final joke (but yet totally serious statement) before the training began. With that he would head with her towards their planned day.
But no matter what pain she put him through in there - he was all the happier for it.
