A shoe heel dug into the rubble, crushing the debris beneath it. Tomina strode through the remains of what was once a thriving city full of people. Now all that remained of it was a few buildings with half or more of their structure vaporized and wreckage scattered about the place. <I can’t believe someone was brazen enough to demolish another Earth city right after the planet was invaded. In theory that would have meant that the strong defenders protecting Earth would have been on their guard. Yet this city was destroyed regardless. Whoever did this was a cunning, ruthless individual with a huge pair of balls. I bet they would be fun to fight, heh.>
Tomina made her way toward once was the middle of a city that still should had been there. Tomina was honestly baffled that someone had managed to accomplish this. When Nasu and Jarvis invades Earth, “heros” crawled up drop every crevice to defend the planet. Yet no one had come to the defense of this city.
<Was it because it was almost abandoned? There were still people in that city though. Tch, those “heros” are rather selective. They come in droves to fend off the Saiyans, yet they don't defend this particular city. What happened to the whole “don't hurt innocent Earthlings” crap they were preaching? They were all a bunch of hypocritical bastards.>
Tomina took the Vegetean fighting stance, panning her eyes over a few of the buildings. In a flash she was off, darting towards the nearest building. She fired an energy blast at the bottom half of it, completely slicing off the foundations.
As the once tall skyscraper fell down, Tomina lept on top one of the falling pieces, rapidly punching and kicking it to smash it into pieces. She darted through the air, taking out the rubble with flurries of strikes.
Tomina then lept into the center of the falling pieces, crossing her arms in front of her face as she built up energy. She let out a battle cry, trusting her arms to the sides and created a cyclone made of blue flames. The swirling vortex spread out drop her, enveloping all the falling debris.
Tomina landed on the ground, bending her knees and breathing heavily. She quickly caught her breath again, straightening her body and gazing up towards the sky. Not a single piece of debris was left. The only thing that fell from the sky were stray embers.
Tomina had picked this spot to train because it was isolated, yet still habitable. She was sure that no one was going to be out here, unless if Cornatto came to inform her that the team had been assembled. Other then that, she expected to be in complete isolation.
Hasenya was at a complete loss for what to do now. There was only so much a crippled cloud of smoke could do to change the world, even if it was from the background. Productivity was most definitely down, and she was in dire need of either something she could do at her current level of power or some cheap and quick means to get stronger. Shortcuts to greater strength were never a good idea, and given her heritage they came with an added risk, but if things were to continue on like this then she would just have to take those risks. She wandered about, lost in thought as she contemplated what her next move should be, until she felt a familiar power. One that sent a rather uncomfortable tingle up her spine, almost making her shudder. The power of her cousin brought out a very childlike glee in the usually very bitter Elemi, she just couldn't hide the smile on her face. Of all her relatives she thought to meet, she expected Tomina to be the last one, assuming that she would be on a different planet.. Like Saiya or Namek or something. Something Hasenya wasn't thinking would be important places to check out.
Fond memories and instinct drove Hasenya to book it for the source of the energy she was feeling. Starting off at a run, but quickly ascending into a boosted flight that would take her into the ruins of a destroyed city. One that she recognized far too well, even more than two decades into the past. The irony of such was not lost on Hasenya. It was in fact, quite depressing to think about. To think that she and her cousin would be back in this same city, just without the looming threat of some universe devouring Makaioshin to ruin their lives. Or rather, erasing one life and destroying the absolute hell out of the other. Fiery wings carried her down bad memory lane to the rather impressive sight of her cousin taking down a skyscraper, just for laughs, it seemed like. She kept an arm over her face and had her wings flapping, keeping any dust or debris from getting near her or hitting her in the face. When Tomina finally finished with her fun- or with randomly exerting her dominance over inanimate objects- it could be either one, from all Hasenya knew in her years from another time knowing the Saiyaness- Hasenya drifted closer but still kept to the air and at a comfortable distance. The Elemi really didn't want to become a humanoid version of that skyscraper.
It was only now, that it was too late, that Hasenya was having her doubts and thinking about going back on this. As much as she wanted to see and talk to her favorite blood relative.. What would she say? Unless she told Tomina the truth, there was only so many words that could be exchanged and Hasenya was almost certain that at least two of those would be 'fuck you'. Looking back on it now, she should have stayed back and thought about what she was going to say or even do if she were to approach her cousin. Now she had to think fast, before she came off on the wrong foot. You could bet your sweet ass she was nervous. The Elemi descended slightly, just to make herself more visible but not enough to touch the ground. The pale girl furrowed her brow, unsure of what to say so she simply let the first thing that came to mind come out. "Are you Tomina?"

At the sound of a voice, Tomina looked up to find a figure in the air above her. They didn't seem to be that strong, going by the energy that she was sensing from them. Although they were kept aloft by something unusual. They were sporting a pair of fiery wings. So they could manipulate fire a little bit, which had the Saiyan hybrid intrigued. Although they wouldn't make a very good sparing partner with that level of power. If she knew her name, then Tomina could only think of one reason as to why they'd come here.
"You've got the right gal. Did that God of Destruction send you to fetch me? Is Cornatto too busy to gather the full team together on his own? Honestly though, they're just handing out my identity to people who I don't know. I want you to fix that and tell me who you are."
For Tomina, the only way this person could know her name was if the higher ups told her. This likely had something to do with the Tournament of Power. She slid her hands to her hips, tapping her foot impatiently as she looked up at the woman above her. Tomina was not someone who liked to be kept waiting.
Hasenya fidgeted and squirmed, not even a peep out of her after her initial poor greeting and she was already feeling like she just couldn't do it. All the possibilities she could think of seemed to play out at once, the consequences of being here too soon, too late, or even at all would have been too much to bear had she not been through so much already. She was momentarily lost in her thoughts when she furrowed her brow and let out a soft growl, not fully realizing where she was and what she was doing for just a brief moment. Just brief enough to embarrass herself. "No, nobody sent me. I came here myself. I know you because I.." Hasenya trailed off, hesitating and feeling as if her voice had just grew legs and ran away before she could finish her sentence. Would it be right to assume that Tomina and Flare knew each other? She may have had knowledge from the past, but it wasn't exactly Supreme Kaioshin level of knowledge. She snapped her jaw shut and shook her head. "I know Flare. My name is Hasenya." She finished simply, not wanting to push the limits of her confidence much further beyond incomplete and either vague or blunt statements.
She let herself drop to the ground and then stepped closer to Tomina. If she were going to have to woman up and try to have a real conversation with a relative that up to this point had been dead, then by the Kais she would at least having it at a proper distance and try to maintain her composure. Relative or no, Tomina was still a woman to be respected, and hovering in the air like some coward and stuttering like a frightened child was no way of showing that due respect. The hybrid took a deep breath, finding her resolve and taking advantage of it while she lasted she opened her mouth to speak. Far more clearly, this time. "I wanted to deliver a message, and I was hoping for a favor. A big favor, but I'm not exactly sure how much time either of us have for that to happen."

Tomina watched Incredulously as the strange girl squirmed uncomfortably in front of her. She didn’t appear to be scared persay, much to Tomina’s annoyance. If someone was going to act weird in front of her, it better be because of fear damn it! But no, this was… she didn't know. Now this person was growling for some reason. Freaking growling! No rhyme or reason.
So the higher ups hadn’t sent her. Then why was she… oh. A vein started throbbing on Tomina’s temple the moment that Flare’s name was mentioned. Wasn’t it enough that she was going to have to fight beside her for the fate of the universe. Apparently she was just going to have to reside herself for dealing with her aunt until the tournament was over.
“Now what, is she bragging to all her friends about the fact that she beat me? I was wiping the floor with her fiery ass the whole fight! Even a brainless bimbo can win against an experienced fighter if they get a strong enough power increase at the right time! After this tournament is over, I’m shoving my foot so far up her cunt that the only thing she’ll ever be able to give birth to will be my shoe!”
If Tomina had any idea who exactly she was talking to, she may have refrained from using that specific wording. Or maybe she would have said it anyway while laughing. Regardless, she watched as the girl made her way to the ground and moved a little bit closer to her. Well at least she was brave enough to have a conversation with her face to face. Now that she got a closer look at her, she wasn’t that bad looking either. A few days ago Tomina wouldn’t have minded getting a closer inspection of this person’s body. Given with what she was sensing, there was only one way she could have had a fun interaction with this person.
“Hasenya huh? Well you’re certainly right about one thing: we might not have that much time left. Although I’m sure as hell going to do all I can to make sure that we do. I’m basically on probation from doing any killing right now, so you might as well gather your courage and tell me this message you have for me. Oh, and you might as well ask me for that favor as well. I don’t really do those, but since you don’t seem strong enough to tangle with me in a spar, you’ve got to entertain me somehow. It’s the least you can do for interupting my training session.”
Tomina crossed her arms, waiting for the white haired girl to speak. Her foot began to tap against the ground again. The Saiyan hybrid was not a very patient person by nature outside of a fight. She could be as patient as she needed to be in that scenario, even though it wasn’t her preferred fighting style. She didn’t have any for just about everything else though. Hopefully this girl wouldn’t get cold feed and tell her what she needed to know from her promptly.
Hasenya had bit her tongue and remained quiet through a lot of very similar vulgar rants from Tomina before, but talking about the hybrid's very own mother that way.. She couldn't help but to let it get under her skin. Any trace of fear that might have been left on her face was gone, replaced by irritation. There was no hiding it with the way her brow furrowed deeply and how her lips pressed into a tight line. Embers played at the tips of her fingers, which she was quick to try and conceal by balling her hands into fists and shoving them into her pants pockets. If she weren't so intent on keeping her identity hidden, she would have gone at Tomina right there and then with no regards towards the power difference between them. Taking her anger out on Tomina or having it beaten out of her made no difference. It wouldn't have been the first time she had chosen that way to bring herself down from the brink of throwing a temper tantrum and going nuclear on anything that had a face she could melt.
"I might sound a lil' crazy when I say it, but if you and your allies aren't careful and more vigilant in these next few years, you're all gonna find yourselves six feet under with a' bunch of clueless kids wonderin' where their mommies and daddies went, but they'll be sure to follow." With the way her tone dropped to match her mood, it almost sounded like a threat, until she continued to speak. "Even your enemies aren't safe, so you should likely reconsider just who your enemies are and aren't, because you're gonna need as many allies as possible if you hope to even possibly avoid what could be coming your way. I'm not exactly able to give details.. But there's your message, do with it what you will. I'm gonna be sticking around here and doing some training myself, hopefully be useful when the time comes."
And since the option.. rather, order had been given to her, Hasenya decided this would be the perfect opportunity to let herself loose. She could've settled with torching some ruins, but apparently today was Christmas. Getting an ass kicking from one's cousin for Christmas sounded bad on paper, but as weird as it sounded, Hasenya missed getting a boot shoved up her ass every now and then. "Don't brush me aside that quickly, lady. The way you've been talkin' has really pissed me the fuck off and I'm eager to see this 'boot' you're going around shovin' up peoples cunts. Sounds like a perfectly good waste of a boot, if you ask me." The hybrid gave as much as she got and then brought her fists out of her pockets, raising them to her chest and popping each of her fingers deliberately slowly, just to really taunt her. "I had another favor in mind.. But I think giving me a better chance sounds fair. I might just entertain you after all. Punchin' rocks and plugging holes with your boots sound like very boring hobbies to have."

Now that was interesting. The moment she started dissing Flare, all trace of her previous fear and nervousness gone. Even more interesting was the brief spark of flames that had appeared before the white haired girl had tried to conceal by putting her hands in her pockets immediately. Tomina had learned to pick up on little details: it came in useful in fights. There were always some little ticks and habits everyone had while fighting. Sometimes it easy to notice, other times it was difficult. But getting to know an opponent's habits made reading them easier. This person did not have a poker face in the slightest.
Granted, Tomina didn't really have one either after the girl opened her trap and started yapping. Tomina honestly didn't know whether to feel more mad or confused by her rant. She wasn't making any sense to her, and was being annoying about it. Seriously, what the hell had she even said? The hybrid scoffed at the younger girl's ramblings.
"What the hell kind of cryptic bullshit was that? Look girlie, I would love to talk about the next few years with you right now. But If me, Flare, and the rest of the team that the goofball gathered up don't win the Tournament of Power, then we won't even be physically able to be six feet under. Even if the tournament wasn't a pressing issue, I don't give a shit about orphans. Hell, I've left plenty of those in my wake to most planets I've visited! Unless you can tell me what these threats are or any of the details, then all of this information was useless to me! I don't need anyone to tell me who my enemies are: I've known who they are my entire life."
Although Tomina wasn't so sure of that anymore. Not that she was going to let this girl in on her doubt. With all she had learned recently, there were only a couple of things she was sure of still. Everything else was all vague for her. Fortunately the girl in front of her made the current situation very clear for her when she outright challenged her to a fight. Tomina wasn't bothered at all by the taunt that was sent her direction. If the grin that spread on her face was any indication, it was more amusing to her then anything else.
"Okay, if you're talking that big, then you've got to have more power to you then what I'm sensing. Even if you hadn't brought her name up, you remind me a lot of Flare. Are you her little sister or something? Or are you one of the dozen half siblings that my father shot out into his whore of the week?"
Her father had gotten around in his younger years apparently. She had met a half sister in person. They were part Heran, and yet were surprisingly docile. It would make some sense if this person was another one she wasn't introduced to her. Tomina cracked her knuckles, getting ready to deliver some punishment on Hasenya.
"Well it doesn't matter who you are I'll do exactly as you asked and show you the boot that you want to see up close. I have plenty of them to spare, so I'm fine with leaving one of them in you. After I'm through with you, you're going to be begging for that favor underneath the boot that isn't shoved inside your cunt!"
Tomina lunged forward without any warning, landing a few feet in front of Hasenya on her left foot. Her right foot she had deliberately placed behind her when she landed. Bending forward, she swiftly brought her back leg up and kicked directly at the place where the sun didn't shine. Tomina tended to treat threats as promises to those she made them to. Hakobe found that out the hard way when she told him that she would cut off his tail and shove it down his throat.
"Cryptic is as good as I can give without angering somethin' or someone." Hasenya simply shrugged. Hell, she must've angered something just by coming back here, and even more so by interacting with family. "It'll make sense in time, I hope. I've got a lot'ta knowledge but there's too many variables in play for me to say things with a hundred percent certainty. So even if I were upfront and clear about it, it could end up being false information.. Not intentionally false, but you can't take that at face value."
She wouldn't get much time to say much more as Tomina came at her without so much as a small warning. Hasenya wouldn't even get a chance to lower her arm for at least an attempt at what would've been one sloppy block. She just didn't have the speed, despite having the right reflexes. Now Hasenya was no stranger to intense level of pains, but that kick easily reached her top five 'wouldn't want to experience again' kinds of pain. "Oh, sweet.. Merciful Kais." The hybrid choked out in a high pitched little whimper when Tomina's boot made brutal contact with her no no bits. Hasenya took a deep, shaky breath and wrapped her hands around Tomina's leg. She didn't plan to retaliate after a hit like that, but she needed something to keep herself steady while she tried not to succumb to the painful almost electric shock that had sent through her body. Whether her bits were non-functional or not, that still hurt like all Hell. Hasenya clenched her eyes shut and pursed her lips tight before her body seemed to melt, or turn into a small cloud of ember-filled smoke. She wasn't about to try to physically pull herself off of Tomina's boot, so she thanked the Kais for her defunct physiology and materialized some short distance away, on her knees and clutching her girly bits, panting, breathing hard. and.. laughing?
Indeed she was, Hasenya was quietly laughing her ass off and nursing at her brutally handled special place. "Ha.. Fuck, that was wild. I knew it was coming and it still hurt like a bitch, damn." The elemi chuckled weakly, flopping over onto her side and then taking a particularly deep breath. The pain was mostly in her skull by this point, but damn was she feeling stupidly tender. Going to the bathroom was going to be an uncomfortable experience for this coming week. Despite all the apparently crappy parts that came with that kick, Hasenya was still losing her shit. Of course it hurt to go any higher than a quiet chuckle and the occasional guffaw, but she was still clearly amused by something. Or maybe she was just a huge masochist.. No real telling from an outside perspective, but Hasenya was just incredibly happy to be interacting with her cousin again.

“There's a very short list of people who would be worse to piss off then me. Your knowledge doesn't mean jack to me when you keep it all locked up in your head. Sounds like it night not be good information anyway, going by how you're describing it. Too many variables? Speak in a language that I understand, because it sounds incoherent ramblings to me.”
Tomina felt a small bit of satisfaction when her boot slammed into the white haired girl. Oh, she enjoyed the act itself. However it was a bit too easy to be truly satisfying to her. She didn’t even have to transform to hurt the girl. She would have preferred it if she had to work for it. She hadn’t even released any extra power: this was her at her weakest.
Although Hasenya’s reaction to the kick did make a chuckle escape her lips. Abject cruelty was fun in its own right sometimes. Tomina watched as Hasenya grabbed onto the leg that she was holding up. She hoped that she was trying to pull her to the ground. That move would have had a lot of spunk to it, and would have been a pretty ballsy way to try and catch her off guard. To her disappointment, it seems as though Hasenya was only grabbing her to support herself. Tomina gave the white haired girl a smirk.
"Hey now, my leg isn't a training wheel to help support you. If you can't withstand the weight of your own words, then you should keep your mouth shut. You best get serious before I do permanent damage down there."
Then to her surprise, Hasenya dissolved into smoke, and reappeared out of the range of her physical strikes (at least for the moment). She just knelt down there on her knees, clutching her body in pain and laughing. Tomina's smirk widened a bit as Hensenya just chuckled away. Even when it was clear that it was hurting her, she was laughing her guts out.
"You know, you're supposed to use a dodging technique like that before I hit you, not after. What's so amusing that it has you laughing in stitches over there? Don't tell me you're the sort of person that enjoys this type of thing. Maybe you really are that weak and just really want a beating from someone strong, eh?"
Tomina let out some chuckling of her own, albeit a bit less profusely then what Hasenya was doing. This person was very interesting, that was for sure. Since she was entertaining her very nicely, she'd give her a moment to catch her breath. Then she would get back to inflicting punishment on the white haired girl.
"Ya move far too fast for me to dodge.. Too fast for my body, anyway. Gave my brain a right nasty shock when you cunt punted me." Hasenya wheezed, wiping her sleeve across her forehead and staggering to her feet, keeping one hand on her hip to keep her steady. Not once did she take that grin off her face through Tomina's taunts and insults, which likely didn't help her look any less like some pervert. Hasenya held her gut for a moment before she seemed to recover, standing straight and rolling her shoulders back before looking back at Tomina. "Nothin' too funny, but you kick just as hard as I.. remember." The elemi paused after whispering the last word of her statement, catching herself just barely before she could accidentally spill the beans for what felt like the twentieth time. She then sighed, raising a hand to push her hair out of her face. She couldn't be too sure that Tomina would give her the time to think her decision over before giving her another brutal hint, so Hasenya decided it would be now or never.. There was no telling her cousin would be coming back from that tournament, after all. This encounter was more than enough to put her in a good mood and make her comfortable, so she felt she might be able to get it out a little more clearly without having to speak in rhymes in riddles like some goblin living in a swamp.
"Before you go giving me the cruel dominatrix treatment for free with more of those suggestive words ya barkin' at me over there, I'd ask you if you wanted me to make more sense or if you're content with beating my ass, but knowin' you I think I know the answer to that. So I'm just gonna go with the former, and hope kicking me in the lower regions isn't so fun that you interrupt me." Hasenya was mostly kidding around, but she was sure they both knew there was some truth to her words. Hasenya was kinda like one of those Tickle Me Elmo's you could punt across the room and still get a high pitched squeal of a laugh out of, so no doubt Tomina would prefer to hear that over more cryptic garbage. She would need a good minute to prepare, too. It wasn't the kind of energy she often called on the use of, due to it's origin, but it was all she had after coming back to the past and it would serve as better proof to her next words.
"I don't really expect you to, but would you believe me if I said I were Flare's daughter? You did say little sister earlier, so I don't think I'm coming out of left field too hard with that.."

"This is what happens when you have the reaction time of a human. And here I was deliberately trying to slow myself down. I even gave you a full second to react to my kick and told you where I was aiming in advance. That was more then enough time to do that smoke technique. You've got to do better then that!"
There she was, still... smiling. Then things got strange. Tomina frowned at Hasenya's next choice of words. She must have damaged her more then she thought with that kick. Kicked as hard as she... what? She couldn't hear the last word that she said. The way she worded it seemed to imply that she encountered Tomina before. Although she had no recollection of the white haired girl.
"I think you're confusing me for someone else. You're weak enough that just about anyone with a decent power level could put you on the ground with a good kick. I imagine getting beaten up is a regular occurrence for you."
Ah, finally. Maybe now she would get some answers. Sure she was still having fun beating Hasenya up, but she wanted some answers from this strange, cryptic girl. Somehow the answer she got was even stranger then she expected. Tomina blinked. Then blinked again. She squinted her eyes at Hasenya, leaning forward slightly. This was all kinds of weird.
"I know Elemi don't age for a very long time, especially after they get really strong like me and Flare. But Flare is only slightly older then I am. The only way for you to be her daughter is if she got pregnant when she was 6, and then immediately had you put in an incubation chamber. Well if nothing else you've saved yourself from the cruel dominatrix treatment for the time being. You should explain things to me clearly before I decide to go back to that. Unless if you actually do like that kind of thing. Then you can just reside yourself to being my punching bag. I really do need to vent right now."
This was starting to get weird for Tomina. And this was coming off of learning that the afterlife existed, gods determining the fate of their universe by using a scale called the mortal level, which Tomina only barely got the gist of, and that she would have to fight another universe's fighters in a tournament. She didn't think things could possibly get any stranger for her. Boy was she in for a surprise.
"Yeah.. I am a little slow, I'm sorry." Hasenya huffed. Tomina was right, but then Hasenya wasn't about to tell Tomina that she had the partial intention of letting herself be hit to begin with. That woulda pissed her off more, and then she wouldn't be able to get a word in- at least that's what she had assumed, anyway. Hasenya couldn't even bring herself to laugh at the ridiculous scenario Tomina had come up with, this was not going to be a fun topic for her and she felt incredibly anxious knowing that whatever proof she has might not be enough to convince her cousin she is who she says she is, and not some demon lackey. She shook her head, furrowing her brow. Now or never. "I can't resign to that, as much as I'm in the mood to really want to at this point.."
She peered back over her own shoulder, looking to Excalibur's hilt. She doubted Tomina would recognize the legendary blade in it's new form, but she would still need it for her explanation. The hybrid unsheathed it from her back and then brought it up over her head, ramming it's tip into the ground in front of her and letting it rest there. She then motioned to it with both her hands and looked up at Tomina. "I came from the future.. Couple decades or so, I'm assuming. I used what power I had then combined with what I can only assume was all of Excalibur's and paid a huge price for it. But it's worth it, because I want to save mother.. And you. She died when I was real young, that was when Chris took me in and got me on the path with Excalibur here. Didn't take long for him to die, and that was when I got stuck with you.. Things were getting real bad by then, and I'm sure if it had been an actual decision for you to make, I woulda been kicked to the curb. Or at least you sure made it sound that way on some of your drunken rants."
Hasenya turned her gaze to the ground, her shoulders slumping as she let her arms hang loosely at her sides, like someone had dropped a huge weight on her. "I wouldn't have blamed you- Lots of friends, relatives, allies, and not just enemies wanted me gone. All because of who my father is- and what he did to my mother. It's likely already happened, so I don't doubt there's a littler me running around here somewhere. As much as I'd love to see that.." She trailed off for a moment, looking back up at Tomina and allowed the other half of her genes to show. A dark, twisted aura of dark pinks, purples, and blacks formed an outline around her body and then exploded around her body as her cursed power reached it's height. She wasn't strong in comparison by any means to Tomina, but still far stronger than she had been just a moment ago if Tomina were still keeping track of her power level. "Y'wanna take a guess as to who that guy might be based off this, or do I have to explain that, too?"

Wait, now the girl was... apologizing to her? Then she was acting all annoyed. Just what exactly was going on here? She couldn't read this girl at all. Especially after she implied that she really did like getting the shit beaten out of her. Who was this person really? Soon enough, she got her answer.
Well, she couldn’t say that her life wasn't interesting. She thought she had reached the peak of strangeness when Cornatto teleported into her ship and started relaying all kind of information regarding the afterlife and the upcoming tournament. But this topped even that. Flare’s daughter traveling back from the future? Tomina could have never had imagined this scenario in all of her wildest dreams.
Tomina just stared incredulously at the white haired girl as she told her story to her. She had never seen Excalibur before this point, so she didn't know what it was capable of. She had come back to save Flare, and the hybrid.
Normally Tomina would laugh this all off and mocked her for telling such a ridiculous lie. But with everything that happened recently, anything seemed possible. Tomina watched as an aura surrounded Hasenya. Tomina took a few steps back, gritting her teeth as she felt the energy coming from her. It was stronger than before, but that wasn’t what troubled Tomina. The signature felt eerily familoar, and not in a good way.
“Caesar!”
Tomina hissed out the accursed name. There was so much venom in her voice. Caesar was her father? Well it was certainly possible, given certain circumstances. But was that what was actually going on. Tomina stood up straight, eyeing Hasenya wearily.
“You claim to be from the future, but you could just as easily be one of Nakiya’s creations. She has them everywhere, and they take all kinds of forms. Nakiya is also very skilled at gathering information. But there is one piece of information that only one other person alive those. If you really know me so well in the future, then you will be able to answer this question.”
Tomina had mental barriers that prevented people from getting into her mind. So there was no way she could probe her to get the information. Hasenya was going to have to answer this on her own. Tomina studied the white haired carefully as she asked her the question.
“I was born to serve the Saiyan Empire. My duty was, and still is to carry out the will of the rest of the royal bloodline. Who’s will do I follow?”
Tomina slid her hands to her hips, waiting for the white haired girl to give her answer. To anyone who knew the hierarchy of the Saiyan Empire, this would seem like a no brainer. But then why would Tomina ask such an easy question? Hopefully Hasenya would get it right. If she gave an incorrect answer, Tomina would beat her to death.
Hasenya couldn't help but to flinch as if someone had raised their hand to her in response to Tomina's reaction. "Yeah, I know.. That's pretty much the reaction everyone has had. You're the only person that knows, as of right now.. Until I can find my mother, assuming she hasn't died or been kidnapped yet. My luck up to this point as been pretty shitty so far, so hopefully there's some sort of relief headed my way cos' I'm starting to see some appeal in what one might call the 'coward's way out'." She growled lowly, furrowing her brow and looking down towards her feet, and Excalibur.
The question asked wasn't necessarily a hard one to answer, but it did force Hasenya to dig through some rather painful memories in search of the right answer. It wasn't hard to tell it was painful, either. Not the kind of pain even someone as talented as Nakiya could create in a lab. Her aura flickered and she seemed to be on the verge of a panic attack, her eyes wide and pupils dilated like some horrible event was playing out in front of her. Except the only thing she was looking at was the ground, and her Excalibur. Then it became painfully obvious what the answer had to be- She dug far too deeply only to realize that her most recent memory of being with Tomina in her timeline held the key. The hybrid had made a similar promise, it should have been obvious from the very start.
Her vision blurred and blood pounded in her ears, her heart pounding like a battering ram against the front of her ribcage. She could vividly recall her final conversation with her cousin, as if she were living through it a second time and having to once again experience the heart shattering pain that followed just before her departure. "It.. It was Karen. You wanted to carry out her will, but then- I.." She struggled to speak, struggling to get anything out just above a whisper. Her hands shook and her chest tightened, bile rising in her throat which she was quick to push down. "You died. I didn't get to see the body, because.. you told me to run. And I did, me and Excalibur. We ran and we.." She cut herself off, shaking her head and bringing her hands up to grab at her temples. Hasenya closed her eyes and clenched her teeth, looking more downwards at her feet and shaking her head. "No more- It's Karen. The answer is Karen. I don't want to think about it anymore." She whined pathetically, as if to plead and beg.

“Well, your father has made more than a few enemies, myself included. Assuming he really is your father and this isn't a ruse. When the strongest contestants met up to talk strategy, everyone there wanted to murder the bastard. He was managing to piss off the God of Destruction even. The only reason anyone held back is because right now we need him. Speaking of which, that's the last time I saw Flare as well. So she should be somewhere on this planet. Maybe she went and used the time chamber early.”
At least that's where Tomina hoped Flare was. If she had actually vanished now of all times, then it didn't bode well. Tomina was not fond of Flare, to put it mildly. Yet she acknowledged that her strength would be useful in the upcoming battle. Hopefully they were just developing some secret technique or something. If they had actually vanished, then that would put them in a hole.
Tomina glowered over at the other hybrid. Surprisingly she found herself mad at the sentiment was throwing around now. She didn’t like it when people just went and gave up on things.
“Most of the time things never go the way you want them to. If they did, then I’d still be royalty, Planet Vegeta and the Empire would still be around, and I would have won against Flare and taken over this miserable rock. Endure and keep pressing forward! If you’re telling the truth, then you fucked the laws of space and time to get here. So suck it up and keep living!”
Tomina barked out at the white haired girl. Later when Tomina stopped and and thought about it, she did it find it weird that she just up and gave a prep talk to someone she was seriously considering killing. She really did hate when people went and gave up to that degree.
Tomina froze, those words echoing in her ears. She reached up and gingerly pressed her palm against her cheek, like she had been visibly slapped. Her mouth opened, but no sound came out, try as she might to say something. She was in such shock that she didn’t even register that her legs stopped supporting her. The next thing she knew, she was sitting on the ground, staring at her neice. Her neice…
“Holy shit… It's true. I told you about her…”
That was something she wouldn’t have done unless she truly cared about someone enough to trust them with that secret. Tarro was the only person she had told about Karen and how important she was to her. She couldn’t deny it: Hasenya was from the future. She had so many questions whirling around in her head right now. She still was too shocked to stand up, so she leaned forward, her elbows resting against her knees as she looked at Hasenya intently.
“Alright then… you’re from the future. I’m guessing that the favor you want involves helping you save the universe or something, right? I mean you’ve already told me you’re from the future, so you might as well not hide anything… now. Fuck, this is going to take awhile to get used to.”
Tomina pressed her palms against his knees, leaning forward slightly and giving Hasenya her undivided attention. It was safe to say that beating the snot out of her was off the table. Unless if Hasenya really wanted her to do that like she had been implying. Although right now was one of those rare instances where she felt like talking more than she did fighting. There was certainly a lot to be learned here.
