The young man awoke within the confines of his parent's home, his vision distorted and blurry. Suffering from dizziness from the shedding of his tears over the loss of his sister. There was a great weight on his heart that was hard for him to lift. Gripping his sheets the young man turned to his side staring at the wall. The room was dark his clothes were placed at the foot of his bed. The sound of his mother weeping echoed to his room it was low but still distinguishable. He didn't sense his father at all which meant he was gone to that realm. Why did he always bounce back and forth like that? Especially at a time like this during his mother's mourning. Had he no love for his child who was lost.
It took a while until he finally mustered the strength to sit upright in bed, he ran his fingers through his hair swinging himself out of bed. His legs were extremely wobbly leading him to believe he had been out for awhile. He grabbed onto the footboard of his bed, cling on for balance. He grimaced in pain that he would actually struggle to get out. He took a few more steps that led him to his doorway. By now his legs were weak but he was able to support himself now. Stumbling down the hallway towards the staircase, where his mothers' cry grew louder. She must not have heard him moving because she had a very keen sense of hearing.
Taking one step at a time down the stairs he lost feeling in one of his legs and collapsed down the stairs. "Ow..." His mother arose from her seat to assist her child from the floor. "Your body is still trying to readjust I see. I may have a way solve that, but it will be a tad difficult." The woman sniffled wiping her nose with a tissue and assisted Suusao to the kitchen. "What did you have in mind mom?" The boy asked curiously, but he had a strange feeling he knew the answer. She beckoned him to make his way towards the basement, to assist him down the stairs. "No more accidents Suusao."
Once downstairs he recognized the room anywhere it was just like the training room Kuuyomi had in her apartment on Earth. "Gravity Training eh. It's been awhile since I stepped foot in one of these." His mother seemed surprised he was aware of the only training method she saw fit. "Well, I see you are more than well acquainted with this machinery. I'll leave you to it then, I have errands to run in Maima, but I won't be gone long." The woman fired up the machine with suitable configurations set at twenty times gravity. Which should haven't been too much of a problem for Suusao seeing as how his body was well accustomed to ten times gravity. This would be a cakewalk for him.
His mother would walk past kissing the boys cheek and caressed his hair cupping the back of his head. She touched her forehead to his and made her way back up the stairs. She couldn't fool him her own child, this gravity training was only for him to ease his mind. Which on the surface seemed harmless, that was only to hide her pain and refrain from speaking with him about the recent events. The machine finally kicked in as the pressure started to weigh him down. His knees buckled slightly under the gravitational force. Until It became too painful for him to stand as he fell to his knees. He forcefully worked his muscles to give him the ability to stand upright again.
From a standing position, he would slowly position himself in midair and would allow himself to spin clockwise. This was similar to what humans called cross fit. He wasn't an expert nor had he really paid much attention to it, but this seemed legitimate enough. On his fifth revolution, he grimaced before falling to the ground in pain. Raising himself back up he leaned forward doing a handstand and remained in this handstand for a few moments. A single bead of sweat got into his eye. It stung a bit just not enough for him to lose his focus. He bent both of elbows simultaneously, squeezing the muscles in his midsection, he pushed his body back up.
Some time passed and he fell over on his backside growing tired from the simple workout, but it showed that ten times gravity was far easier. Clenching his fists he did feel a slight sting on his shoulders and biceps which meant something was working. "No pain. No gain." The boy chuckled to himself it felt good training his body and was beginning to get used to this level. Only one thing left to test out and that was the combat simulator. He was sure that his mom had a lot of free time on her hands, and knowing her she wasn't doing any of those stereotypical wifely duties. Married or not his mother was a proud Saiyaness, but he knew she hit her limit a long time ago.
After a countless number of password guesses, he finally figured out how to activate the combat sim. "Jeez, mom why so serious with security...Oh" The boy stumbled upon a recent Training Log of his mothers and to his surprise, she'd been recently training at sixty times gravity. Except it didn't last long the timestamp measured out to about ten minutes she spent in the room, and he wondered what could have happened to her. The combat simulator UI gave him multiple options for training types. The only one that caught his eye was the speed test. The objective would be for him to avoid the energy beams, while at the same time progressing towards the back of the room. Once there he would be required to press a button to indicate the exercise was complete.
"Seems simple enough let's get started." The young cracking his knuckles as a loud chime rang throughout the room. Suusao sped to the back of the room as a small energy beam whizzed past his face. Followed by another two aimed at both his shoulders, but before he could react he was sent flying backward. Sliding across the ground unable to catch himself. "How the hell would I get past that." An idea surfaced in the young man's brain as he got back on his feet charging his ki, attempting to force himself into his Super Saiyan form again. The boy let out a loud battle cry as his eyes shifted from blue to green, his hair-raising upwards and it's color changing to a golden blonde.
"That's more like it. Let's get started then." Suusao sped towards the back of the room sidestepping to beams aimed at him. He was only halfway there yet he was able to easily notice the increasing number of beams fired. As well as the increase in time between each pattern of beams fired. Just a little ways to go and he would be able to do it. The next pattern of waves proved more difficult this time, and left him in the same spot avoiding most of them. This took up at least two minutes of his time. Easily putting his target time out of reach, and so he decided to improvise. Performing a simple dodge roll he waited again for the next wave. This time instead of moving as the beams were fired, he would take his time to get there. It was very similar to a battle only the one with greater patience could attain victory.
The energy beams started firing shots at an alarming rate, causing the boy to change his approach. Even though his strategy was working prior to this, it seemed he'd be forced to go with his initial approach. His movements were shapeless, formless like water it impressed even himself. At this point he managed to make up the loss time, and eventually completed the excercise placing him just above the highest time. It didn't dawn upon him until a large screen appeared showing a ranking list of time trials. Right at the second spot was his name, above his name was his mother that was no surprise. That is until he noticed that his sisters name Kuuyomi was right below his. Her time was beaten by ten seconds, it made Suusao's face tense, and placed his hand over her name.
"I suppose that old man Juun actually had been teaching you a few moves. I've seen better, but hey I'm your mom. I want the best for my son." The white haired Saiyaness entered the room. The sound of her boot heel echoing throughout the room as she approached. "Which is why my dear son. I want you to join the Remnant Alliance. I want to see you grow and get stronger. I want you to live on for you sister. Staying here will do you no good." Suusao cocked his head to the side in confusion. "Erm...What's the Relevant Alliance Mom." She rubbed her eyes in frustration, "The Remnant Alliance Suusao is a group of high skilled individuals from across the..." The woman was cut off by a noticably thoughtless remark. "Eh I'll pass. I'm not much of a group guy mom. I hardly had any friends on Earth. Even the principal at my school told me I don't work well with others." The woman was astonished, "A..And what exactly is your plan?"
The boy floated into the air similar to earlier and began his gyro style training while talking to his mother. "Well mom. Back on Earth I picked up a few skills over the years. One of them being starcraft building. I figure I could use the parts from your old spacepod, Dad's old spacecraft, and my old spacepod. I could fashion me a ship and explore all that the Galaxy has to offer. Hopefully learn a few things especially find out how the hell I got back here, and by here I mean to the land of the living. So think of it as a quest for answers you know." Never had Suusao spoken so lightly to his mother, and even she was far more impressed by his reasoning, watching him spin around in midair was beginning to make her dizzy. "I'm impressed son. Sounds like you've got things figured out, but I would still feel satisfied if you were to atleast see what the Alliance is. It will just make me feel like you are safe. They have a headquarters here on Namek not far from here. When you finish up your training I want you to go."
His brow furrowed giving his mother no response, she knew him well, and he'd respect her wishes no matter what. Even if those wishes were absolutely nothing he ever wanted to do. It was in his nature to listen her, and if he did it he'd surely have to listen to one of his father's lectures. As abnormal of a family they were he didn't see much difference between them and sitcom families on television. Stopping himself after his thirteth revolution his mother stepped over to the machine shutting down the gravity chamber for him. "Alright Mom. I'll go check it out now. Just let me get some new clothes." The young man felt a major difference in pressure, and felt a little more at ease. Still the thought of teaming up with some random people didn't sound too fun.
Powering down his transformation his appearance reverted back to normal, and he made his way upstairs to prepare for this meeting. Hopefully things would go great and maybe his mother may change her mind at the last minute. Maybe this Remnant Alliance was no longer a thing, and he could focus on building his ship. Then again this was just wishful thinking on Suusao's part.
