It wasn't much for Whis to just teleport the Saiyan back to their planet, not that he had a chance to see very much of it... in fact he didn't get to see any of it as he was immediately transported into a very familiarly designed room. There was absolutely nothing here, nothing but pure white for as far as the eye could be save for a small living area with the only exit to this infinite dimension. This space contained beds, a bath, shower and a small kitchenette with food that seemed to restock itself. However if Komatsu were to look inside the pantry and refrigerator he probably wouldn't recognize any of the foods inside as they were all alien in nature. Not that he would mind when the time came, having lived off of next to nothing at all for a decade.
"Great... another year of this crap. going from a mid teen to an adult is pretty intense honestly..." Koma would grumble to himself as he walked towards the bed he would be claiming as his own. He immediately started to undress, removing his body armor as well as his jacket and shirt. All that he left on would be his pants and belt, he didn't even keep his boots. Why bother, everything was just going to get shredded up anyways.
He had to admit, having a year to fully master the power of a Super Saiyan god was quite appealing. There was no one here he could hurt, no one here to fight either but at least he could push himself endlessly here. He would suck in a deep breath before taking off into the vaste emptiness. He wouldn't stop until the little Oacis was far gone from sight, feeling that he wouldn't jeopardize his only means of escape by powering up.
"Right! If the universe is at stake I can't slack off... I might not have wanted this power but it's mine now and I have to make sure I"m more than up to snuff in this tournament. I cannot, and I will not fail!" He goaded himself, tapping into the powers given to him by his brother and allies. His power level would seem to blink out of existence as it rode to immeasurable levels! His hair would shift and sway as if a breeze had caught them until finally they became red. His size would seem to diminish slightly, though his power was incredible. He looked a few years younger, and as he opened his now Crimson eyes, there would be a sense of fear to anyone that would look upon the newest Super Saiyan god.
He would flex his arms, open and close his hands again and again to get a feel for this form as he had only used it once before. He could feel exactly how taxing it was on his body and was glad as hell he had a full year to work on this. Within moments, Komatsu would vanish completely as he moved into an extremely rapid set of punches and kicks, firing off massive blasts of energy in just about every direction except for the oacis. Had anyone else been in the chamber, it would look as if there was a far off light show happening.
Speaking of, Carva would feel a strange sensation pull at his chest in the middle of whatever he would be doing. With little time to react, Carva would just pop out of existance only to reappear within the same chamber in which Komatsu was training. Having been successfully recruited by the little King and their Champion, Whis decided it was a good idea for both Saiyan brutes to train together... perhaps the two could learn something from being locked in a room for a year together?

The Commandant awakened after a long power nap that day, not long having left his battle with Nasu. It was a very satisfying battle, one where he'd learned on the King's respect for him. He had once thought his worth in the Saiya-jin Galactic Kingdom was that of a mere grunt, but would discover that Nasu had trusted him as one of his Commandants. As he sat there, pondering the upcoming tournament, he smirked. He thought about all the maggots he would whip into shape following this tournament. He would make the King's army as strong as steel, if their Universe didn't get erased.
As he pulled on his white boots, he shook his head. The stakes were high. These stakes were higher than ever before, and Carva realized the gravity of the situation. Fastening his chestplate, he took in a deep breath. This was the armor of an Elite, designed to his specifications upon his request. This particular armor would stretch as his form changed, whether he become a Great Ape or a Legendary Super Saiya-jin.
Carva wore a skin tight black suit covering everything underneath, wearing a pair of white combat boots, matching gloves, and a white chestplate with golden trim. On his right breast was the symbol of the Kingdom, emblazoned proudly.
Stepping out into the dual sun above him, a bit of sweat formed on his brow. This area was empty, save for the ruins that surrounded him. Carva sighed. This was to be his training ground. He didn't have alot to work with seeing as how his Mansion was destroyed on Saiya, his "danger room" along with it. As Carva stepped forward, his black hair would sway in the wind. Slowly flourishing his arms out to his sides, he'd begin to steadily increase his power. Not too fast...his energy was destructive. He'd destroyed entire mountains without even lifting a finger. No. This would take control. This would take total control over his energy.
He knew nothing of these Universe Four warriors, save that they were the Unknown. So he didn't know where to begin training, but he would flip and practice his kicks and punches. He'd work up a sweat in the hot sun out thwre, challenging himself to be more precise yet trying to control the energy he put into every single punch. Warrior clan Namekians would gather to observe the Saiya-jins rigorous training regime, but he was in the zone. He saw none of them.
And soon...the would no longer see him. At all. Carva would suddenly blink out of existence with not so much as a peep.
He'd closed his eyes for a moment as he'd focused his energy once more. But as he would open his eyes, he'd hear nothing at first. Nothing but what sounded like a grandfather clock. His eyes darted back and forth, widening. For as far as he could see, there was a blank nothingness. At first, it felt lonely. With Komatsu's God Ki, he hadn't noticed the man there. But he heard him.
With a start, the Legendary Super Saiya-Jin turned toward the Super Saiya-jin God and froze in his tracks. That was his opposition on Earth! Wasn't this guy Nasu's enemy? Tch...this couldn't be a trick. Not at a time like this, what with their whole Universe at stake! It couldn't be!
The old Carva would have attacked first, live or die. But fighting the fear festering within him, Carva approached the newly powered up Koma...it was him alright. He could see the physical differences, but those eyebrow ridges gave Koma away. He took a deep breath and broke the silence with a very matter of fact, professional tone, folding his arms over his chest. "Two questions. Where the Hell am I and two, what the hell are you doing here? I was beginning my training for this tournament...and next thing I know, here I am. So, please, enlighten me."

"HYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
Komatsu's voice would echo through the time chamber as he powered up to his full potential, the godly ki rising within him to levels Komatsu didn't know he could reach. It was a whole new high, a dangerous high that the Saiyan would need to get used too before the tournament. If he could master this power before then... Then along with Nasu there was no way they would lose, could they? He would continue training himself, pushing his body further and further with every movement, not even registering the fact that another being had appeared within the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. It wasn't until Carva got up a little too close and personal, that Komatsu nearly whacked him in the head with a godly punch. His fist would stop mere inches away from Carva's head, the Saiyan Overseer looking confused at the fact that there was someone else present... when it finally registered though, he would lower his fist and step down onto the ground, letting his aura fade from around him, though his hair and eyes remained red, indicating the godly power that flowed through him.
This man... he'd seen him before hadn't he? For some reason his face pissed him off right away and he couldn't place it yet. Just where had he... Earth. Oh this was that one prick from Nasu's Kingdom to call him out as a coward for failing Natto. He would visibly grit his teeth, his nostrils flaring slightly as he would take a deep breath to calm himself. It was much easier to do just that in this god form truth be told... he felt a lot of the emotion he had bundled up normally just wash away, like none of it really mattered... and it didn't, who gave a shit what this random person he didn't know, thought of him?
"Right, so first off, cut the attitude or I'm going to make this the longest year of your life." He warned the self proclaimed elite in front of him, his red eyes staring into his own as if he was staring down into his very soul.
"If you're here... it looks like The God of Destruction decided you'd be my punching bag for the next year. If you're in the tournament too... that means whatever you have against me, you're going to have to put aside. We've got more to worry about than petty grievances between Alliance and Kingdom, understand? Now, to answer your question. We're in a separate dimension within Whis' staff. A year in here is just a day in our world, so we can train for 1 whole year in 24hrs. As for the reason I'm in here? Well I was sent here first for starters, and with all the power I can swing around it's probably the safest place to keep me. As for why you're here? Again, probably to be my punching bag unless you can learn to keep up." Komatsu said seriously, giving Carva back as much attitude as he had given him. He wasn't going to sit by and let some nobody, in his oppinion, try to push him around. He was done being the pushover, the one that constantly failed. This time... things were going to change...
His first moments in this legendary place were quite strange, and almost violent. Carva recognized the fact that Komatsu was much more powerful than him. His pride wouldn't allow him to admit it, but he couldn't let that pride give way to stupidity. That's how you die. As the fist came close to the warrior, he prepared himself to attempt to dodge but he took a deep breath as thankfully Komatsu would stop. He exhaled. "That could have been very bad...but in any event, I would have tried to dodge."
He had an attitude at first, but when he thought about it...his knowledge of Komatsu was only what he was told by the recruits of the Saiya-jin Galactic Kingdom. For all he knew, they'd all formed their own opinions of Komatsu, but thinking deeper, Carva shook his head. He didn't know much about his unlikely training partner at all. So after he had that bad attitude and said those things to Komatsu, he did something extremely surprising for him. "Alright. Excuse my unwarranted attitude. It's just strange when one minute you are training and there are Namekians watching you and the next moment, here you are, standing in front of a sworn enemy of your King. I don't know yous guy's beef with one another; which brings me to another point."
He did not advert his eyes from the God Saiya-jin's gaze, a cold feeling washing over him. The eyes were the windows to the soul, and Koma was peering into Carva's. This would be the moment when even Carva would realize that he was not evil. Carva was just a damned good soldier that any Saiya-jin would have to respect. He bowed his head. "I do apologize for the things I said back on Earth. I spoke out I turn, because honestly, I didn't know the situation. But the past is the past. You and I are here for a reason and I agree, we have to put our differences aside in the best interests of our Universe."
As Koma would explain to Carva the nature of this strange place, Carva would fold his arms across his chest and nod his head. This was very strange to the young Saiya-jin, but at the same time he felt excitement. After all, a whole year's training in a say could be extremely useful. It may have even helped him to break his own limits, and develop a trump card he'd been working on since Nasu had explained the stakes of the tournament. "A year's training in a single day?! Incredible! This place must be some sort of magical place, though I never got to meet this Whis fellow." Carva's dark eyes were wide with excitement, his Saiya-jin blood rushing through his veins, burning. He grinned. "As for being your punching bag, don't expect me not to fight back. I'm going to do everything within my power, fight with everything I am to match you. And as with every fight...I will learn everything you have to teach me."
It would become obvious to Koma that Carva was growing, both as a warrior and as a person. Carva fully recognized that if the two did not work together, then the both of them would be erased. Then he would never be able to become a God like Nasu or even Koma. Or...to surpass his Elemi hybrid counter part Tomina. His eyes narrowed momentarily in that thought, but then he offered his hand to Koma in a gentlemanly gesture. "As I do not believe we were properly introduced, plus we might as well get acquainted, my name is Carva." Would Koma see the difference between now and then? Would their training work out?

"Tried being the keyword" Komatsu growled in irritation with the taller saiyan. He really was an irritating one, he reminded him so much of the guards back when he was young on planet Vegeta... Far too hot headed for their own good, filled with nothing but an ill placed pride in skills they didn't even posses. The only reason Komatsu hadn't taken them out back then was because he didn't have the strength he did now. He was just a child, and so someone like Carva, someone who reminded him so much of them, was no longer able to instill fear or even hesitation within his heart. Instead, here he was, holding the power of the gods as his own and no doubt intimidating the shit of the other saiyan, even though he was trying not to show it.
"Unwarranted attitude is difficult to get around when you're a saiyan, it's just as much part of our blood as fighting is. Just remember who you're speaking too next time you want to throw it around. Getting your facts straight before you go and accuse someone more than twice your strength will also make sure that you live longer. " He said coldly, his red, fiery aura seeming to flare out in a sudden burst of emotion at the comments he was making towards Carva. He was trying so hard not to punch him in the face because of the grudge he held against him... Had the two encountered only a few days earlier, Komatsu would have been wailing on him endlessly here in the chamber.
"Look, let's put things as simply as possible. My brother and I view the world from two very different angles, that's why we formed two separate saiyan factions. We are not enemies, I've never considered Nasu an enemy. A thread, possibly, but I would never... I didn't... I wouldn't have killed him without good reason. Anyways..." With that he would just give Carva an eye roll, taking a step back and immediately placing himself in his newly perfected fighting stance of the Dragon style. His ki would flare out around him once more, but the saiyan didn't move from his stance.
"Call me Komatsu, and if you don’t want to get your ass kicked, I suggest coming at me with everything you’ve got Carva, and if you want to stand a chance, power up to your absolute maximum straight off the bat” The younger saiyan would taunt, charging a teal ball of energy in his right palm. Infused with his Super Saiyan God powers, he would bring it backwards as he charged it a little bit before hurling it towards Carva in an attempt to get him to move.

He could stare at Komatsu in his God form all day and not show an ounce of fear. You should make no mistake about it, deep down, Carva was intimidated. It was even more a mix of emotions than anything. Koma reminded the Saiya-jin of noone he'd ever seen before, unless you count the Godly ki which he could see, but not feel. The mixture of emotions Carva felt was fear and strangely enough, excitement. Standing before him wasn't a friend nor enemy, but an obstacle in his own training and path to be a God.
Carva knew it to be true that Komatsu far outmatched him in power, but he was fully prepared to take everything the more powerful Saiya-jin could throw at him. The list of names was an impressive one; Kinoko, Tomina, Nasu, Cervez, Jarvis, so on and so forth. Carva, for the most part, had always been overpowered. But this wasn't a curse. It was a blessing. His Saiya-jin blood loved a challenge, and boiled at the thought of it.
""Tried" may have been the keyword, Komatsu..." he grinted, folding those massive arms over his chest. "...but one thing you will come to know about me is that I do not back down from any man. Your power is intimidating, but I will give this everything I got."
Think before he spoke. "Yeah. I learned to do that a long time ago." He would have said. He thought about the time he "hit on" the Queen. She nearly killed him and Komatsu could definitely do so if he didn't watch his step. He nodded his head. "Things are said and done in the heat of battle, often time without much thought behind them. That was my mistake and I am willing to own up to it. I am a Saiya-jin warrior; I am a man above all. There was no honor in my actions on that day, and once again I apologize."
Maturity was something not often witnessed from Carva, so perhaps Komatsu found himself privileged to see such. But as Komatsu explained the relationship between he and Nasu, the color drained from the face of Carva and his eyebrows raised. "Wait, what? You two are brothers? That's...you're so different...I don't know what to say to that but I suppose I understand. We seek power...no matter how we get it. You Saiya-jins seek peace..." he shrugged. "...I don't understand it, but whatever thrusts your spaceship. I love to fight."
So when Carva noticed his training partner drop into a fighting stance, he himself would drop into his Legendary Arts stance. He would listen to Komatsu for a moment and smirk, speaking confidently. "Oh, trust me...you may very well kick my ass, but I will keep getting right back up! Either way..." he pointed at Komatsu. "...I will learn how to do that...the red hair, the massive power. One day, I will be a Super Saiya-jin God!"
His eyes narrowed and reflected the light of Komatsu's Spirit Ball. That Ki...it was enormous, his senses burned as it formed! As the attack was launched, Carva's form would flash with a neon green, blazing aura, his hair turning a greenish gold within seconds. He looked surprised at the very speed at which he was able to raise his own energy!
There was no time to celebrate though, for he braced himself and leapt...not flew...out of harm's way. Carva would nimbly land on his feet and prepare himself for the next attack, now in full on Legendary Super Saiya-jin form! "That was a strong attack...perhaps you'll teach me one day? Now! Let's go, Komatsu! I'm not afraid!"

To say that Komatsu was irritated by this saiyan was an understatement. He apologized? His attitude seemed to take a 360 degree turn now that Komatsu called him out and it just caused him to roll his eyes. This was going to be the most annoying year he had ever spent alone with someone else... and that was saying something seeing as his last two chamber partners where Chris and Flare... He had been hoping, in the brief moment Carva had arrived, that being stuck in here with another full blooded saiyan would prove beneficial... though it seemed like this guy was just s full of hot air as the Empire Saiyans were.
It was at that moment that Komatsu launched the Spirit Ball towards Carva, and just at it seemed that it was about to hit Carva's body would disappear, re-appearing in a new location to which Koma would only shift his eyes to look towards him, once more looking at him with such disdain. It was no secret that Komatsu held no love for the saiyans that followed Nasu.
"You follow him so blindly... have you, or any of the Kingdom Saiyans truly bothered to learn what it was the Remnant Alliance is about? It's not peace we seek. Instead we fight for our right to chose our own battles, not fight the one's of a selfish King. I refuse to fight for a cause that I don't believe in, and that's why the Remnant Alliance have become a mercenary group. We will only fight those battles we chose. Don't get the idea that we're docile and we don't like to fight... because that will bite you in the ass. In fact, new plan. You're going to spend this year trying to stay alive. That should be some good 'training' for you" He stated with annoyance still clear in his words. If Komatsu had been impressed with the fact that Carva dodged his attack he didn't show it. This was a perfect way for Komatsu to test his new skills... the one's that had first appeared to him in a dream. These were improved techniques of the Doragon no Seishin... and unluckily for Carva, he would be the first one to have these techniques tested on.
Komatsu would begin to focus all of his ki to the back of his throat, no energy was yet visible to Carva as he charged up the Draconic power inside of him. As he called on the power of the Eternal Dragon, Komatsu would smirk, the faintest glint of energy visible behind his canines.
"Don't get ahead of yourself just because you could dodge that, I bet that tired you out didn't it? And let's just get this straight... you're just my prey for the next year, I"m not teaching my prey how to fight back." He stated before sucking in a deep breath and then exhaling the energy he had been gathering onto Carva. A golden flame like energy would escape his mouth, firing off towards Carva like a rocket making for orbit. This time, there would be little chance for the Legendary Super Saiyan to avoid him. He could feel he had a limited amount of time left in his Saiyan God form, so he had to take CArva down before he lost his grip on these powers...

Most everything Koma likely thought about Carva was one hundred percent correct. He was cocky, he was brash, and he was a lot like his Kingdom brethren. He loved to fight. There was one major point of separation between he and those lower class recruits. His attitude screamed it, even though his armor merely spoke in whispers of it. There was a word for his kind, those who were born with a natural ability to fight and who spent constant hours upon hours honing their skills. Elite.
This Elite feared nothing, not even a Super Saiya-jin God. There was a slight bit of intimidation though. That couldn't be helped. But no, he didn't see a literal God. He saw a challenge and the rushing blood, the pounding heartbeat, his synapses firing off like lightning and releasing endorphines. The challenge of Komatsu was the perfect drug.
Ingesting this drug was dangerous, even for a warrior as fit as Carva was. As he dodged the attack in perfect fashion, he fell to one knee. It wasn't because Carva was tired. No. Instead, Koma would see a thoughtful look in his eyes as he spoke to the Legendary Super Saiya-Jin. He spoke of blindly serving his King. Of choosing his own battles, stuff and such. Carva drew in a deep breath as he prepared himself. <Tch. He should take his own advice before preaching to me. How could he possibly know why I chose to join the Kingdom? He was on Earth. Of course, saying that out loud would be the death of me. He wouldn't understand why I've done what I've done. I had to get stronger...I needed his tutelage, Nasu's. I needed other warriors to look at as competition to push me to surpass them...Tomina...and Tarro...even Kinoko. He wouldn't understand...that...all I've ever wanted was to be the best!>
With a low growl boiling up from his chest, and without a hint of visible fear, the brave Commandant would stand up. In the white light, he'd present quite the shadow standing at his seven feet, his golden green aura blazing. He recovered his stance and stood resolute against the God, bearing his canines. "Good to see you and I can agree on one thing, Koma. I do not just love to fight...I live for it! You may be stronger than me, and I know there is no way that I can win this in my current state...but that doesn't mean I am going to be your..."prey". Animals evolve to outrun their predators, and so shall I!" He sneered. "...I took enough of that shit from Rubega growin' up!"
The strange nature of Komatsu's next action would make Carva narrow his eyes and raise his hands higher, bracing himself. He was well aware of the power such beings possessed now, Koma being a God and all. He couldn't sense the man's ki. He had that advantage in most fights, but this was different. His eyes would widen a bit, the blast coming faster than he could react. His armor would burn and crack as he was struck, and soon...that familiar white light would be all he could see as his form dropped back to it's base.
Then...darkness.
Fourty Eight Hours Later
"Tch..." the room slowly came into focus, Carva gritting his teeth. Where was he? How did he get here? "...what...what the Hell just happened? Last thing I remember was appearing in that weird place...all white...then Nasu's brother..."
"Shit..." he grunted as he tried to sit up, bandages constricting his airflow. Taking such a hit without being completely vaporized was a fear in itself, but to not die from it? At least he could say he was stronger than before, if nothing else. He recalled that he was supposed to be training for the tournament. Slowly, Carva turned himself and sat up. His damaged armor was gone. He wore only a pair of black gi bottoms, his abdomen wrapped in white bandages.
The room appeared to be some sort of bedroom, a room more comfortable than Carva had ever encountered. The bed was a twin sized bed with a soft, pillow top matress and at least three pillows, with soft Egyptian cotton sheets, red in color. Carva limped forward a few steps, and a light twinkle caught his eye. Looking at the table next to the bed, he saw it sitting there. A tiny red capsule with two Cs on it and a physician's mark. "...hrm...is this some sort of trap? Could be...that Koma isn't the nicest guy in this Universe..." His lips curled upwards. "...neither am I. Besides...he has a Saiya-jin's honor. He wouldn't resort to petty tricks. So..."
Carva's Theme
As tough as stone, Carva winced ever so slightly at the pain caused as he raised the capsule to his lips, popping it into his mouth. He could feel it, just as he suspected his bones were mending. The bruises would slowly dissappear. He chuckled to himself before heading out, his expression darkening as the room outside the "safe room" seemed to have changed.
The sun blazed high in the sky, as if it was a hot summer day. For as far as the eye could see, now there was an expansive wilderness for the warrior to take into view as his brown eyes searched for Komatsu. His tail swayed in irritation. "...what the Hell is this?! Where are we now?! Where are you?!"
At first, getting no answer, he would remove his bandages. Instead, he would wrap his fists tightly with the medical tape as if a boxer getting ready for a fight. Then, blazing into his Legendary Super Saiya-jin form, he'd call out with a roar, pupiless eyes flashing red momentarily. "Round two, Koma! Show yourself! You haven't broken me, I am still HERE!!!!!"
His hellish Saiya-jin Pride would scorch the grass at his feet as he prepared to take on his biggest challenge!

The golden flames that spewed from his mouth were far more brilliant than he imagined they would be, and a lot more taxing. They radiated that same supernatural light as the dragonballs did when they had been summoned back on Namek... the strength behind this technique was absolutely incredible!~ It empowered him and boosted his ego quite a bit! However, as the large blast was about to strike Carva Komatsu had to pull abck on his power, at least just enough to make sure the blast didn't outright vaporize him. He worried he didn't manage to do so in time, but as Carva was knocked away and out by the last, he flew over to ensure the man's survival.
Thankfully Carva was in fact alive and Komatsu sighed heavily both in relief and exhaustion as the power of a Super Saiyan God would suddenly leave him, returning him to his base form, just like the unconscious Carva at his feet. This was going to be a hell of an annoying year... He hated this saiyan... no matter how much Carva tried to sweet talk or show some form of respect Komatsu couldn't get rid of the resentment he felt towards him. It was a hatred anywhere near what he felt for Jarvis... it was a different kind of feeling all together, but he felt that Carva was just someone he wouldn't willingly get along with.
"Such a pain... Whis couldn't have sent Nasu here instead..? This isn't going to benefit me much at all..." He would grumble as he leaned down and grabbed the cracked armor around Carva's neck, dragging the saiyan that was a full 2 feet taller than him back towards the Oacis, the small zone that held the door, and portal back out of this dimension. He would unceremoniously toss Carva onto the bed then move to find the first aid kit, proceeding to bandaging up any of the major wounds he had inflicted on him for the time being. Carva could just take a medical capsule whenever he woke up...
48 HOURS LATER
Komatsu had been training on his own for the past two days, using the power of his imagination to create various terrain and foes for him to fight against as he waited for Carva to re-emerge. He wasn't all that surprised that Carva was still out cold, and half expected him to be out for a full week... unfortunately for Komatsu he would sense Carva's energy rise up again, indicating that he was waking up. Immediately, Komatsu would activate his god form, making his power level vanish from existence.
Carva would start yelling into the dense forest that now surrounded their oacis, his power spiking as he transformed himself into his Legendary Super Saiyan Form again. Komatsu flew low, using the brush to hide himself until he managed to get behind the oacis where he would fly up and land quietly on the roof, crouching down low so that Carva wouldn't see him. He waited for the brute of a saiyan to create some distance between the building and himself before Komatsu would start charging up the attack he had been practicing over the last two days. A smirk would cross his lips as Komatsu brought his right fist close to his abdomen, fuelling it with the power of the divine dragon as he launched himself towards Carva's back. The form of a golden dragon would envelop Komatsu as he lunged, extending his fist towards Carva and *WHAM*, suddenly Carva's shoulder was struck and literally flew off of Carva's body and landed somewhere in the grand forest, even the aura of this attack was powerful enough to cause damage to Carva, knocking him right back out again...
1 WEEK LATER
Every time Carva would wake up and walk out into the forest, Komatsu was on him like the most fierce of predators. Day after day Komatsu would only knock Carva out with one hit, shredding his body again and again, ripping off one limb after the next as he trained his new ultimate technique to perfection. Now any normal being would either be dead or in an ICU bed after the harsh treatment the saiyan overseer was dealing on the Legendary Super Saiyan, however every time Carva was knocked out anew he would heal the saiyan both by his own power as well as the capsules he had brought into the chamber with him. The capsules hadn't been meant for anyone else but him... but oh well, he supposed this year of training would have some benefit after-all, Komatsu would master the Dragon Spirit Fighting Style...
1 MONTH LATER
With every passing day you could see the brutish saiyan learning... every day Komatsu would knock him out, Carva would try something different when he awoke. Every day he would make it just a little bit farther away from the Oacis before Komatsu would get him again and send him right back to the starting point. Day after day, month after month this harsh treatment would continue, not all that different from the treatment Tomina had given Koma as a child imprisoned by the Empire. The only difference was that Carva was aloud to keep his tail, and Komatsu wasn't burning him alive. He had to keep his methods much more tame, as he wasn't out to break Carva, only to strengthen him... They needed stronger fighters to protect the Universe during this tournament, and what better way was there to strengthen a Saiyans body?
6 MONTHS LATER
This time, Komatsu was waiting for Carva quite some distance away from the Oacis. Even if you flew up above the lush forest that filled this dimension now, you couldn't see it anymore. What was more, Komatsu remained in his Super Saiyan 4 transformation, instead of his Super Saiyan God transformation, this way Carva could sense him, and like a beacon he was sure the Saiyan would come for him. Komatsu was resting his back and head against the trunk of a tree, eyes closed and seemingly sleeping in this ape like transformation, just waiting...

Over that half year, Carva would continue the futile effort of coming out of the safe room and perhaps getting a bit further into the forest. And day after day, the result would be exactly the same as he'd find himself back in this comfortable bed. Back under those soft sheets. He'd developed scar tissue where the capsule had regenerated his shoulder, but left a nasty brown scar. Carva would do nothing to hide it, nor would he complain. He grunted as he sat on the bed that morning, waking up from one of the many beatings given to him by Koma.
<Yeah. He hates me. But who can blame him? At least I know I'm doing my job right. I am what those Earthlings would refer to as a villain, am I right? Or am I...who have I killed that didn't deserve it? Those monks on Earth, yeah...but that was a different time. Love me or hate me, they will learn to respect my power. Why kill anyway? If one leaves no survivors, who will spread my legend?> he grasped at the sheets, feeling his body throbbing with sheer pain. His body, it cried "stop", the there was a spirit inside of the Dark Knight of Saiya that cried "Never!".
He looked down at the table and the obligatory medical capsule sitting there, staring back up at him. With a sigh, he took the capsule into his large hand and flipped it a couple of times. He'd almost debated on leaving it sitting there, his pride having grown exponentially since the encounter in the throne room. He looked up at the ceiling of the oasis, hatred burning for a moment as he thought about Rubega. Then, wisdom would show in his eyes as he recalled what he had been told by his Uncle.
"You think these beatings are bad? You don't know anything of true pain, Carva! Now get up! Get your ass up and stop crying, you should be thanking me for making you stronger!"
Those words, that scene. He remembered his nine year old self, on his hands and knees. He remembered blood pouring from his lips, his ribs pounding. He winced as he thought about the pain he felt as a child. He remembered his bones snapping, breaking. He remembered a cold feeling washing over him as he stood there, then he thought about the darkness he'd seen as he passed out from these beatings.
He stepped into the bathroom of the oasis, where he would disrobe after having healed himself once again. He turned the water on, as hot as it could be. A normal man would have cried out in agony as the scalding hot water pelted his taut skin, muscles flexing as he washed himself. He was reminded of the warmth inside the healing tank after every time he would be beaten to unconciousness by his cruel Uncle.
As the water would cut off, he'd grab a towel and dry off. He'd dress himself in his training gi, solid black with purple undershirt and purple lining on his boots. Those visions would flash through his head once more of Carva being dominated by his Uncle and beaten. Then healed. He gritted his teeth. "Never again...never by anyone. Noone will *ever* dominate my fighting spirit..." he'd say, stepping out into the oasis, his black hair blowing in the wind as he tightened his belt.
The warrior's eyes darted back and forth, half braced for an attack from Koma. He would be ready this time, no doubt. But when nothing would come, Carva's head would tilt. He could SENSE Koma. This was strange indeed. He shook his head, wondering what the man could be up to. Each time Carva had encountered Koma and been knocked out, he'd not seen it coming. Granted, his power still dwarfed Carva's, but it felt a bit more manageable than before. <What in the Hell is he thinking? This is different...confusing. Perhaps I should go and see what's up.>
Just as Komatsu had predicted, Carva slowly lifted off of the ground and flew off in the direction of his ki. It was strong, feeling white hot to Carva. However, he would follow the man's signature like a moth to the flame, and upon finding him he'd stop in mid flight. Looking down at Koma, he'd study the man's form. It was odd to Carva, as he tried to surmise what this form could possibly be. Then it clicked to Carva exactly what he was looking at. It was the form he'd had a brief glimpse of back on Earth.
Cautiously, he'd descend into the area Koma had chosen to apparently nap, his eyes narrowed in both frustration and confusion. At first, he'd keep his distance. He wasn't about to get himself knocked out again...no. He would soon calmly call out to the more powerful Saiya-jin, trying not to startle him. "Komatsu? Are you still alive there? Why haven't you attacked me?" He'd come to expect the attacks by now. He awaited an answer from the leader of the Remnant Alliance.
Koma could sense Carva's every movement from the Oacis, his Ki sense now trained on the warrior at all times, even when Komatsu had been out here training he was sensing Carva's energy as he slept. If he wanted to keep ahead of Carva he couldn't let him sleep by. Even now as Carva's energy approached him the younger saiyan would let out a yawn, his eyes opening lazily as Carva landed in front of him. Komatsu would look just so relaxed sitting there by the tree that it would almost seem un nerving considering how he would beat down CArva the instant he saw him here. For a long moment all Koma did was stare at Carva when he asked why he hadn't been attacked yet.
"Honestly? I got bored. I was hoping you'd rise up to the challenge already but I guess you aren't all you make yourself out to be. If you're the kind of person Nasu's making his Commandant's then it's no wonder our people nearly went extinct." Komatsu would say harshly, stretching his arms up above his head, his legs stretching out as even his reddish tail would stretch before moving back to a slouched position against the tree he was sitting against. He's bring his arms back behind his head as he didn't yet move from his spot.
"I finally let you out of your cage and you come running towards me. Instead of sneaking up on me you address me directly. Carva, if I wanted you dead I could have killed you what... 180 times by now? You won't find that same restraint during the Tournament of Power. We aren't just fighting for our Survival, we aren't just fighting for our pride or to get stronger, we are fighting for our Universe. We won't just die if we lose, we get erased. No legends, no memories, no after-life, that's it. Everything just stops. So unless you're going to be serious in your training with this, get the fuck out of my sight and let the real warriors handle this." It was an obvious attack on Carva's ego, but one he needed to make clear. He needed to make sure Carva understood the actual risks and the actual reason they were fighting. This wasn't just another battle, this was it... the big one, this was the reason they all grew as much as they did, even if they didn't know it then.
Komatsu would stand up to his feet slowly at this point, his crimson aura rising around his frame in a much more normal looking fashion than when he was in his god form. His power level was already at it's peek without touching that power, and so he waited for Carva's answer before going any further...
Post PL: 349,122 (With Komatsu's permission, for story purposes)
The two were as different as night and day, yet they had their similarities. Standing face to face now with a bonafide Super Saiya-jin Four, Carva would at first find himself intrigued. Komatsu had gotten far stronger since their encounter back on Earth. Even Carva had to admit, the powerful Saiya-jin, even in his youth, had him far outmatched as far as power went. His way of thinking was that he had too much honor to outright sneak attack the younger Saiya-jin, for as black as his heart was he still held a warrior's honor. He folded his arms across his chest as he listened to Koma, his teeth gritting in his mouth.
The man had finished his first admonishment of Carva, who's body had become surrounded by trembling air, as if heat was rising from his body. His face began to redden, his ears heating up. Koma would likely begin to feel the man's power beginning to rise slowly, in a more stable and controlled state. Nonetheless, it was there. Destructive power. Lightning would begin to arc off of the warrior as he began to speak. "Are you done?" His voice would drip with venomous anger. It was almost as if the angrier he became, then the more powerful he became. "Nasu didn't PICK me to be his Commandant, first of all. Even if he did, your brother has damned good taste. Despite what you may think of me, I am one of the Kingdom's finest warriors! I am everything I make myself out to be and more!" With a growl, his hair starting to flash that greenish blonde, he began to step forward toward Koma with a rage burning in his eyes. "I can't change the fact that the demons attacked Saiya while we were on Earth! I can't change the fact that happened, but you damned well better believe that I will rip the fucking Queen's throat out first chance I get!"
"Do you know what it's like, Koma?! I don't know your business, because Kami knows you've said nothing of yourself to me this whole year! But imagine the fact of going to Earth, simply to say goodbye to your fuckin' mother and father, leave the past behind?! Their Graves were there! I just wanted closure!" His fists were shaking at his sides, his pupils fading in and out. Koma had struck a nerve, even if he hadn't intended to. Carva was involuntarily going through some sort of metamorphosis. "Imagine it...hearing that your very own planet was destroyed, millions of your people wiped out! And you could have been there to prevent it! Imagine the rage that pumps through my veins every day, the way it boils my blood!"
Carva stared at Koma, a firey hatred burning in his eyes as he closed in. His body seemed bigger at first, his own ki cracking his skin. His power had grown to what Koma had felt before. That very same level when he first entered the chamber. "You die...you go to Hell, and you train! You get a body back, more powerful than before and you come back only to find yourself on Namek! Fucking Namek...and that's when you learn that you HAVE no home to go to. You have nothing to lose, so you engage in every single fight you can...because the one thing you want...is power..." His form finally changed...it was like the Legendary Super Saiya-Jin form, but his power was ENORMOUS compared to it's previous incarnation!
Full Power Legendary Super Saiya-jin(X37)(Also approved by Koma) activated! 12,917,514!
"You think I don't understand what's at stake?! I do understand, because this tournament gave me new life! This is our Universe...and I don't care...how many of their people have to die! I will not let this Universe be erased! I will save it!" The insinuation that Carva wasn't taking this seriously had driven the warrior toward the edge. But the insinuation that Carva wasn't a real warrior? That pushed him over it!
Carva would explode forth and cry out in sheer anger, as fearsome a warrior as ever. He was finally unleashing the rage which he'd been holding in, and he'd strike out at Koma with a straight right jab aimed straight at the nose! "DON'T UNDERESTIMATE ME! DON'T YOU EVER DO THAT AGAIN!!! HAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHH!!!!"

Komatsu would seem unfazed by Carva's sudden power increase, standing completely still as he stood opposite the Legendary super saiyan. The look on his face seemed bored as the saiyan roared at him, talking about his struggles, wanting power and how he understood what was at stake. He obviously wasn't very impressed by the fact that Komatsu was looking down on him, but how could he not? Through everything Carva had been through, he was still as basic as saiyans could get. He would raise both of his hands in front of him, palms open as it looked like he was silently asking Carva to stop. Instead however, two large spears of ki would appear above them. Even as Carva came at him with a fierce strike, Komatsu would just scoff as he leaped back and jumped up into the air, spears still hovering in his hands.
"That pride is exactly what is going to get you killed in this tournament. It's exactly what's going to expose the Saiyan Fighters to a weakness they aren't prepared to face. Saiyan's are way too stuck on their pride, and as soon as Universe 4 finds that out they will extort it! Not only against you but against Nasu, Cornatto and even Tomina! You and the rest of them are far too stuck on your own selfish pride! If you really know what's at stake you need to learn that there is a place for that Pride! And that place is not in the Tournament of Power! So quit your bitching." He would growl right back at Carva, throwing the first spear towards Carva from his right hand. The spear would soar forward towards Carva's chest, aiming to pin him back against one of the tree's. If Carva managed to dodge it the spear would suddenly change course to chase after him.
"I'm not saying to outright abandon your pride and abandon your honor, but learn that if you can't see passed it you will doom us all. I would rather kill you here than risk you dooming the rest of the Universe with your idiotic sentiments." He stated, suddenly launching the second Spear Gun towards Carva. Both of those blasts were extremely deadly, each capable of inflicting an incredible amount of damage against Carva is he was somehow unable to block them.

And just like that, after everything Carva had done...after everything he had said. It was all futile. Even reaching the next evolution of his transformation was for naught as the Spears would strike him in each shoulder, causing blood to spray forth into the air. He'd find himself stuck to that tree for a moment, for what felt like an eternity as his hair would fall into it's natural state. He'd open his mouth to speak, with only a light trickle of blood coming out...then he'd see stars for a moment...and finally, complete and utter darkness. He'd find himself appearing to be dead, but there was no white light.
The Next Day
Still dark...
The Commandant laid prone on the bed, silent as death itself. Was this his fate? How could this have happened? He was picked by Nasu and approved by Cornatto to join Universe 7's group of greatest warriors yet Komatsu had defeated him at every turn. He'd beaten the man, nearly broken him...literally killed him, had this been the outside world. But it seemed that every time the nightmare would end, it would rewind and begin again.
His chest began to rise and fall slowly, his blood slowly beginning to pump through his veins. It was shallow breath he had, his heart barely beating inside his chest. Thumpthump...thumpthump...the Legendary Super Saiya-Jin's hand would clench at the sheets, sharpened nails ripping it. The pain by now was excruciating. Endless training for a year, even with tiny breaks, was something any warrior would feel the effects of. Finally, he groaned slightly as he sat up.
As he stared at the med capsule on the table he couldn't help feel that blood beginning to boil. Finally, instead of taking it, he fired off a blast of green energy that would cause a small explosion next to his bed. Then...he would drop his power completely, down to zero...as if he were really dead. Meanwhile, the table and capsule were reduced to ash and Carva would mumble. "Fuck that...I am not a charity case. He's not going to treat me like one." He would force himself to stand, his injuries pushing him backwards. "Grrrr..." he growled in a very beastly manner, pushing himself to his feet. He was mostly angry because he knew Koma was right. Shaking his head, he'd keep his power suppressed.
He sighed. <All this he said...he's right. This isn't for me...this isn't for Nasu. My pride is secondary to the survival of our Universe, as much as I hate that. My honor will mean nothing if we lose...and I have yet to strike him once. What sort of warrior am I? That changes today. He's gonna remember me. And in that tournament, we're gonna win. By any means necessary!> he thought to himself, teeth grinding and fist clenched.
For now, he'd train by himself, fighting the pain. He'd push himself harder and harder. No matter how much it hurt, he'd stay surpressed and hone his skills in a hidden clearing. Until...finally...one day...
A Week Later - No Sign of Carva's Ki
No matter what Koma found himself doing that day, he wouldn't sense Carva. The man had seemingly dissappeared from the Time Chamber as if erased. But Carva had located his partner. He'd make not a sound as he got closer...staying out of sight as he cupped his hands at his side. Suddenly...like an exploding sun, with only a sound barrier destroying explosion, the huge green beam would fire off toward Koma as Carva powered it up with incredible speed! If it did hit, Komatsu would be in some pain!

It honestly didn't seem like Carva was getting the point at all, the idiot was too focused on his own pride and ego, just like every other Saiyan was. While Komatsu himself was a Saiyan and very prideful, he knew when to put it aside... these things did have a place on the battlefield under normal circumstances, but this was far from normal... if they were to survive this they were going to have to pull out all the stops and stop limiting themselves with these mundane feelings.
Today, Komatsu had decided to take it easy, his body ached and cried from the amount of training the saiyan was undergoing in the time chamber. While he was training hard, he hadn't been able to push himself very far, at least not beyond mastering the techniques of his new martial arts style. It was a long year, he missed the thrill of a real battle, a real spar, and as masochistic as it sounded he missed the feel of the pain that came with fighting a worthy opponent.
Koma would roll over onto his wide, his arm propped up to be used as a pillow as he rested in the lush grass of the forest he had created. It was so peaceful just then it felt... strange. He didn't associate that strange feeling to the fact that Carva's power level had vanished, he was too relaxed, and frankly too tired to care just then. So what if he let his guard down a little bit, it wasn't as if that idiot was actually going to take advantage of a sleeping Saiyan.
He would let out a heavy breath, cozying up into himself when he felt a sudden, enormous power right behind him. His eyes would shoot open, and before Komatsu could even lift his head off of the ground, that enormous power found it's mark, striking him square in the back and vaporizing the ground and greenery around him. He couldn't help the cry that left his lips as, even though Komatsu had managed to bring up his shield, he was still blown away, burnt and battered from the sudden attack that would have vaporized anyone else.
Komatsu found himself crashing through multiple trees before he would finally come to a stop. His grey, scale like armor covering his body was cracking and battered, blood seeping through some of the cracks as bunch marks were visible through the broken scales. It looks like maybe he had underestimated Carva's will to win this thing.
He would laugh lowly, coughing a few times and bringing his hand up to cover the blood that would escape his lips.
"Cheap shot... I was... really hoping... for some sleep... heh... Good Job" He would say as he landed on all fours, trembling from the sheer amount of damage inflicted on his unprepared form. Had he transformed he would have been able to withstand that attack, but he had chosen to let his guard down... Now though was a different story. He would glow a bright gold as he would suddenly ascend to his mastered Super Saiyan 2 form, his power level making some of his injuries more bearable.
He pushed himself up to his feet, wiping his mouth as his body slowly began to try and heal itself.
"You finally ready?" He asked Carva, not yet assuming his fighting stance as he still needed a moment to recover.
