He sat there, head hung low with his eyes focused on the sterile metallic floor of the room. He'd spent the better part of the past six years of his life in this very room and it'd come to be home to him. It had come to become familiar. It wasn't difficult to see why either. Fluorescent lights burned overhead, illuminating the plain white walls of the twelve by twelve foot room. The very light from those walls kept him docile. It kept him weak. It went against the very nature of the blood flowing through his veins, though he'd not have noticed. His spirit was broken long ago.

There were two reasons why he'd be allowed out of this tiny room. One, he'd be allowed out if the bastard needed a planet eliminated and he never got to see his surroundings before he got there. All he would remember would be a pitch black ride, and waking up...back in this damned room. The only other time he would be allowed to leave this hellish room would be to "train" with his Uncle Rubega.
He sneered to himself. That bastard, that Uncle of his. That fucker had kidnapped the young boy when he was but a six year old and killed his parents right before him. At twelve years old, Carva had experienced beatings, abuse, and ridicule the likes of which no child should ever have to endure. He shook his head as he sat there though. It was hopeless. There was nothing he could do to stop Rubega at this point. At this point, the boy was an all purpose tool for a mad man, a rogue pirate who would use him and a select few others to clear off planets for sell.
Like the Saiya-jins of old, he was raised to conquer. But only at his Uncle's beck and call. Though this room kept him calm, there was a rage burning within the youngster's soul. He glowered at the floor, silently.
Meanwhile...
"Oh dear...this...this is incredible..." Doctor Mota observed, looking through the lens of a powerful microscope. The man wasn't a Saiya-jin, but he was a trusted biologist in the employ of Rubega. As he looked deeper into the specimen, he commented to himself. "...I haven't seen these cells in a long time. They're very different from those of his kind who are considered "normal"."
"So, you have studied Carva? And my suspicions were correct? I thought so. He could be incredibly powerful one day, even born as lower class trash as the case may be." The cruel pure blooded Saiya-jin would sat as he leaned back against the wall, arms folded over his chest. He shook his head. The kid they'd taken from Earth had far exceeded even his own expectations in sheer power and usefulness. Still, he was afraid. One of those birds on that far away planet they'd sold to the Kold Demons...
Flashback.
"Aaaaahhhh..." the alien let out a long, pained breath. That old planet seemed like a distant memory to all. Rubega and his men didn't normally remember their conquests, they arrived, destroyed, and left. But this premonition he'd been given by the old priest, the bird like alien, he remembered his words that day all too well. "....your child is strong indeed... *cough cough*...took out all my best...but...though we may die, I want you to think about this you cruel bastard. With such power, and the way he looks at you...imagine it...*wheeze*...imagine what he will do to you! We will have our vengeance...even...*cough cough* even if not by our own hands!"
He remembered those words. He remembered saying to the old bird that Carva wouldn't dare stand up to him. The pipsqueak wouldn't ever measure up the Captain Rubega.
Present Day
"Tch..." he huffed and pushed himself off the wall. Oddly enough, the warrior didn't have a tail. He was born without it, as were his siblings. He pushed those thoughts out of his head of Carva turning on him. The boy was scared, to be sure. But after many battles fought for Rubega, the older Saiya-jin couldn't help but shiver as he realized his nephew's power seemingly kept growing. "...is he healthy, Mota? Will he be ready to stimpromp those nasty cockroaches, or must I dirty my own hands?"
"Sir...you haven't conquered a planet since..."
Rubega shot the alien a look. "Answer my question."
The loyal scientist would freeze in midsentence, both interrupted by Rubega and scared to death. He would soon answer the question in a favorable manner. "Yessir, the kid's endurance, health, and stamina are all optimal. But...he may be a bit unstable once he looks at the Blutz waves. We may need to increase the frequency of the AntiBlutz in his blindfold and ankle bracelets on this mission. He could be quite destructive if not."
"And you're not concerned about the radiation frying his brain, Mota? He is STILL my nephew after all..." Rubega smirked. "...if anyone hurts him, they will have to go through me. I can't have my investment dying, now can I?"
"No...no sir...he'll be ready..." Mota answered. He knew better than to disagree with his Captain. Besides, he'd made a mint off of Carva's torture. Just as much as Rubega if not more that he didn't tell the "fearless leader about. Neither could afford to lose the young Saiya-jin.
