Unlike most days that he spent down in the depths of Hell, the Demon was feeling a little bit more adventurous on that day. He had recently been plotting to break free from Hell itself but now... he just needed to bide his time till he was ready to leave. That of course meant that he was going to begin exploring, flying around the deeper pits of Hell to look for something, ANYTHING that he could do to spend his last remaining time there. It was honestly very exciting to think of who exactly he was to meet down there, anybody could be waiting for him. Honestly, all he hoped for was that he wouldn't meet anybody extremely powerful that would want to kill him before he had a chance to escape Hell. That was the last thing he wanted, to be erased.
"Now, what can I do around here..." he would mumble to himself a bit as he would let his power flow freely, partially in hope that somebody who could sense his power would come and seek him out at this point. He wasn't flying particularly fast either, as he was mostly just trying to be seen if anything. He didn't find much in a sad twist of fate though, as most individuals that he was finding floating around were only doing so because they were little spirit clouds with no way to walk on two legs. Those wouldn't be able to entertain him at all really, so he had to consistently move on... his own ki sense wasn't picking up much either, sadly, so he was mostly ready to condemn himself to a fate of having to go back empty-handed.
Hopefully, that wouldn't be the case. He was looking to learn something new or meet someone interesting... he didn't really mind how it would get done. [Bernael: 371,024]
Galen's time in the afterlife had been quite long when in comparison to most renowned warriors who previously fell in battle. The thing is, he wasn't rushing. As a matter of fact, he was - at one point - almost ready to embrace his fate and move on, adapting to the fact that he was dead, just like many people before him, common folk and warriors alike. Maybe he would be reunited with his dead family and friends from Goddodin, maybe he would discover a whole new scope of existence withing the upper realms, just like he had discovered when he went to King Kai's planet and such. But fate... Fate was always a surprise to the human and once again it changed everything he had expected when he first reached this place.
His resolve had been renewed and now it was steel like; and it wouldn't be broken again. He had found a new purpose, a duty he would firmly embrace, welcoming the burden of responsibility upon his shoulders. He was ready for that. During his stay he learned a lot, not only from old master such as Corn, but also from new masters and people he met, such as King Kai, Master Mutaito, and even Liari. He was ready to go back to his world, but again, his original plans were to be briefly changed for there was one last thing the afterlife was willing to teach him. And how are the odds, right? For him to meet with another renowned warrior who had been dead for quite some time - even more so than the human - just before he left this place? Fate is all.
As he reached the edges of hell, after placing Liari's bottle open somewhere near it, he senses a very strong ki signature nearby that seemed somewhat similar. He couldn't yet identify it, for it had changed quite substantially since the last time they'd met, but he decided to investigate it nonetheless. "Hmmm... I wonder who is this person. His energy doesn't seem evil to me, and yet he is in hell. Maybe he is just like me and like to explore, but I can't help but to think I know this guy..." and with that in mind he calmly walked towards the energy source; slow enough so he wouldn't be potentially seen as some sort of threat, but not so slow he would take forever to reach it.
Galen would be there within a minute and was allowing Bernael to fully sense him.

The Demon would remain looking for something to do, his arms folded over his chest as he'd think almost silent to himself about what exactly he wanted to do. That was until he felt a large power signature moving towards him. It wasn't at a threatening pace, rather moving towards him like it was curious. Whether or not it was hostile, however, would be up to it. It could just be slow. Something about the energy itself felt... right, however. It didn't feel corrupt or sinister like most other energies felt when he explored the deeper parts of hell. Without trying to be too hostile or anything himself, the Demon would just wait there for the man person to arrive, turning and facing him.
"...Hmm?" he'd look curiously as he made this noise to the swordsman who had come up to him. He didn't look all too familiar... but then again there were probably hundreds of billions of people throughout time that he never met, and in the afterlife, every single one of those people was a possibility for him to see. He'd let the silence drag on for only a few seconds before he'd pipe up himself, smiling softly. He realized that he was looking around just to explore and meet people... this was a choice opportunity, no?
"My apologies, I should introduce myself... My name is Bernael, who might you be, sir?" his eyes would lock themselves on the man, not really sure what kind of approach he should take to all of this. This person was in hell... did that make them bad? Surely not, even the Grand Supreme Kai entered hell briefly to meet with him, which meant others might be able to as well. For the time being, he'd just have to go with the idea that this person was neutral, and that he could defend himself should they make any hostile moves.
The Demon would pick up a rock and start kicking it up and down, playing with it like a ball for the time being as he'd keep his eyes on the man. "I don't suppose you're looking for something to do as well, huh? That'd be a nice coincidence. I'm not going to be around in this place for too much longer, so I'm trying to make sure I enlighten myself on everything it has to offer." the man would smile a bit as he would slowly stop kicking the rock, letting it fall back onto the ground as he'd finally just give the man some room to speak, he didn't want to be rude, but he hoped that he would provide something. While it was nice to meet someone new, he was hoping for something more than an additional dead contact in his metaphorical phonebook.
Like he imagined, he was sure he knew him from somewhere, but it was not until Bernael introduced himself that the name rang a bell. The human landed near him with a quite surprised look on his face and, as he rested both his arms on his waist, he spoke to the hybrid boy. "Wow... Bernael, eh? That name does ring a bell! Aren't you the guy who used to always be by the previous Kami's side?" he outright asked him but with a quite casual, almost innocent tone; he wasn't judging Bernael by his alignments in the slightest and that much was clear. "It's rather odd we never actually met before... I used to be the Tower Keeper of Korin, so, in a sense, for a moment, I was an ally of hers." he added, chuckling a bit as he proceed to fold his arms. "Name is Galen. I've been around here for a while... I was exploring after I finished my training with King Kai, so I decided: Why not see what Hell is like? Sounded like a plan! Hehehe!" he finished by saying.

The Demon would blink very slowly as the man would say that his name rang a bell. He supposed that he wasn't entirely a blip flying under the radar if he was being invited to this upcoming tournament, but at the same time, the merit that he was given wasn't one that he wanted to hold onto any longer. "To a degree, that sounds like me. Some may know me by other actions but that one isn't so bad." he would slowly think over his time with the previous Kami, he supposed that was definitely his most active time alive before he went to hell. A small smirk would cross his face a few moments later though, as he'd wave his hand a bit. "Anyway, how about we move passed such ways of linking one another. This is our first proper meeting, so we can measure our own merits from there." he would speak a bit softly, seeing as this man wasn't judging him at all it seemed, he wanted to give him the same kindness.
The name would ring out in his head and... nothing, least, he didn't remember hearing about this person. But there were many people that he didn't hear about throughout these years most likely. Would he even see any old faces if he went back to Earth? Such a sad thought would quickly be shaken out of his head as he would reaffirm what he needed to say. "It is nice to meet you Galen, I... wish I could say I haven't been around here a while, but I've been down here for quite some time myself. In fact, I actually was planning to just stay but... something has come up I suppose." he would think about the Tournament of Power for a second. He had progressed a fair bit but he was still a long way off of getting truly ready for the tournament, he needed to push himself even farther if he planned to be of any use for his allies, and his small fight against Cornatto showed him that he was on the lower end of his teams power scaling for the time being, even with the large demonic power he could pour into his attacks.
Bernael's mind pondered over a bit more of Galen's words before he would respond further. "King Kai, huh? I was told he had his eyes on me as well at some point by the Oni at the front desk. I made some poor decisions though that ended up blowing up in my face... so let's just say I messed that up and got placed down here. I hope you enjoy your time down here, Galen." he would look away for a moment as he spoke. He had enough time to reflect on his actions and he wished he could take them back at this point, but they were his own faults, nobody else's. Slowly, he would look back towards Galen with a smirk on his face. "In any case, I hope this place isn't treating you poorly. If you have anything you'd like to check out I can tag along, my time is limited but that doesn't mean I won't milk it for all its worth, could be nice to see what you're like in any case." the halfbreed would just float upwards a bit and move closer to Galen, just staring at the man as he waited to see what he had in mind, if anything.
Seemed like he was mildly bothered by his past and Galen made sure to take a mental note of that in order not to bring it back; he didn't want to start on the wrong foot with someone who he knew could become a potential ally or friend, but luckily, despite being mildly bothered, he didn't seem to mind it all that much. It was a bit funny he didn't know who he was, but it just reaffirmed how much the previous Kami didn't care for anything or anyone other than herself and, for that, he was glad she was now gone and the path was open for him to become the Guardian the world needed and deserved, but he kept those thoughts to himself.
When Bernael said that King Kai had been expecting him, Galen nodded. "I can see that." and he truly could; if not by some mistakes he had committed, Bernael could be considered a real hero. He had stood against the ones who threatened to destroy the Earth time and time again before he lost his way and trusted the wrong people. It was a shame he hadn't have the time and opportunity to make up for it and was instead sentenced to hell. Galen shrugged when he asked if he was enjoying his time in hell. "It is... Quite different from what I've expected, but... Not too bad, as weird as it may sound." he said, resting his hands on his waist and looking around the place once more.
Bernael was even gentle enough to suggest he could tag along Galen, despite the short time he had available, but before the human could even answer, someone who could not be sensed approached the area.
Mysterious Spiritual Warrior
"Isn't that fate? It has been a while since I've found two warriors who souls align, kekeke!" the creature chuckled. Galen turned around, quite alarmed, only to see this warrior with odd clothes and a halo above his head, which showed he was, akin to the two earthling warriors, another dead soul roaming in the afterlife.

A soft chuckle would be let out of the hybrid once Galen brought up Hell not being too bad. It was funny how different people could experience different things. Bernael, when first thrown down into this place, felt a striking pain inside of him like he was cast aside and abandoned, sure enough, he felt true despair. But over time, with the help of others he met down in this place, including Diana, he learned to accept it for what it was. To an extent, the negativity associated with it was only brought about by the concept. If he was told this was the afterlife and there was no other Upper World to go to, he would have taken it in stride most likely and just found the people he met to be unlucky visits of the bad side of the afterlife. As well, his failure and inability to believe in himself and instead rely on what others had told him, made him feel intense regret and remorse for what he did. He could atone all he wanted for what he did, but it wouldn't change anything unless he believed in himself as well.
The hybrid was about ready to get going with the earthling before a voice would make him flinch. He hadn't even felt a power approach the area...? So why? With a bit of urgency, but not trying to put up a hostile approach, the Half-Demon would turn his head towards the voice to stare onward for but a moment. They looked kind of odd... but they weren't a god or anything like that, sort of like when he had met Diana. This person was sure enough deceased and apart of the afterlife. Further, it seemed that they didn't mean any harm, at least for the time being. Their demeanor was... more playful it seemed.
After a few more seconds, Bernael would turn to face directly towards the creature, examining them further. The odd clothes that it wore immediately stood out to him, and it was of no race he had ever seen before. He would slowly shake his head before refocusing on the creature, giving a little smirk to show that he wasn't trying to be hostile either. "I'm sorry sir... what do you mean, exactly? I'd love to believe in fate... but, what brings it about in this instance?" the demon would blink a couple of times as he put it into thought. Two warriors? Souls align? Only him and Galen were there so perhaps it was meant to be them two. But he couldn't help but wonder in what case their souls align, and what this creature had to do with bringing it up? He would pause for a short time before prodding a bit further. "Though... I am quite intrigued. You snuck up on us, your power was invisible to the senses. There is suppressing your power level... but cloaking it like that is impressive. Who are you?" the demon would stop with this, he had asked all that he really wanted for now. He didn't want to bother this creature.
Galen seemed just as surprised as Bernael, but he let the hybrid demon do the initial talking. His logic behind that was: since Bernael had been in hell for longer, maybe he knew how to approach people here the better. It may have been a flawed way of thinking, but hey, that was all he had right now. The strange creature laughed when Bernael inquired about his power level and he just cracked a mischievous grin before he spoke. "It's because I'm too strong for you people to actually sense me! Kekeke!" he teased, floating a little more towards them. Galen arched one of his eyebrows and dared to speak. "But sir, that doesn't really make sense... Unless...!" and as he seemed alarmed, the creature laughed a bit more and nodded. "Kekekeke! Yes! I have the ki of a god, but I'm not god of any sorts! Just mad strong so I can pull this one off! Kekekeke! I'm a Metamoran! A master of fusion, and I just noticed that the two of you could actually become an interesting fusion! Kekeke!" and as he said that, Galen's jaw dropped a bit.
This talk about fusion was so otherworldly even to someone who had been exploring the depths of the afterlife that seemed just like a tale, but he knew better than to doubt people nowadays. "M-master of fusion? What is that supposed to mean, sir?" he politely yet cautiously asked. The creature stuffed his chest, quite proud of himself. "It means I know a way two beings can become one, although to anyone who is not a Metamoran like me, it has a time limit, small inconvenience, kekekeke, but still quite the useful ace up a sleeve! Kekeke!" he said, and, despite the surprise, Galen seemed quite intrigued by what this creature was saying. The human's eyes glanced at Bernael, trying to catch a glimpse of how he was reacting to that.

Bernael's eyes stayed locked onto this new creature as it spoke, making sure to overhear what Galen said as well but with a lot less urgency. He trusted the man not to say anything that'd upset the creature, and of course he was more doing questioning like the Demon was. At least they were on the same page of not being hostile. So he had God Ki... huh? That was something a mortal race could pull off? That was quite interesting... the hybrid was curious if he would ever be able to pull off something like that one day, but eventually pushed the thought to the back of his mind as he decided to look at the front. A master of fusion? Noticed the two could become an interesting fusion? What could that possibly entail, exactly?
Galen seemed just as confused by all of this as well, so he just waited for the Metamoran to answer about the subject before he got into it himself. The conclusion itself was quite shocking, leaving the Demon sort of taken aback. His face first showed a glimpse of confusion, before curiosity, and then some sort of determination. "That does indeed sound like an ace up the sleeve, a time limit is still quite generous for something like that to exist at all." he would cross his arms a bit in thought, slowly mulling over the idea in his head. What exactly was this guy talking about with fusion... like, could the two of them do something to become one? It seemed to be outside of racial limitations.
It was finally time to poke at the idea that the Metamoran posed. "So you think the two of us could make an interesting fusion, that means... you can show us?" Bernael would position his arms in a thinking pose as he thought about it. If he and Galen were both defenders of Earth... knowing how to fuse would be quite a positive boon in the future if they were both alive. But that was just the first part of it. If they both memorized it well enough they could probably make sure others knew of this technique as well. The only worry, of course, was others learning it off of them from watching in battle. That just meant they had to be careful. "If that's the case, you can count me as interested as well."
Galen nodded in agreement with Bernael; if they could use something such as fusion - even with a limited time - it could be quite helpful. From what he had heard, Komatsu and Christopher's fusion was the reason the Saiyan King had been defeated when he attacked Earth the last time. "It does sound like a helpful technique! I would be forever grateful to learn it, sir!" and he could barely hold the enthusiasm in his voice, and the Metamoran just laughed a bit more on his normal fashion. "Kekeke! I will see if you guys have some talent! Kekekeke! But I've gotta say... Fusion between a human and a demon would be almost impossible, but this one demon has some human in him!" he remarked, as he stared at Bernael.
Then, with some concentration, the body of the metamoran glowed and, shortly after that, it split! He was now two creatures that looked exaclty the same, only one of them was red and the other one was blue, but they sported the same clothing. "I am Masa!" the first one said. "And I'm Mura!" and they even sounded similar. Then, both laughed at the same time and they leaped, putting some distance in between each other. "And now we are about to teach you two..." one started. "The fusion dance!" and that revelation made Galen arch both his brows in surprise. "D-dance?!" and he blushed lightly as they began to demonstrate the steps.

Bernael smiled softly as Galen seemed to show the same desire to learn the technique. That meant they well enough could attempt to try since both were in agreement there. The hybrid looked a bit curiously as the Metamoran began to speak as well, giving a firm nod as it confirmed something with them. "I am indeed. I'm glad that it won't prove a problem." his soft smile remained as he realized he didn't mess up the process of making this technique work. In fact, perhaps him being half demon was more a boon to the outcome of the fusion? In any case, it seemed this metamoran was going to teach them the technique in the next moment.
For a short bit, the Hybrid thought that the metamoran was going to explode as he started glowing, getting about ready to block before he split into two...? No, that wasn't it. They were the same beings but their colors were off. Perhaps the being they met was the fusion of these two, given the purple color of its body, which these two mixed to be. Even in this split body, they acted like they were still fused, perhaps prolonged fusion between two beings so similar made them turn into one another. The hybrid slowly crossed his arms and listened to them say their names. Masa and Mura, huh? Interesting. "Alright Mura,Masa. I'm ready to see this fusion technique." but the halfbreed couldn't be prepared for what they were about to show him.
His eyes widened as they spoke the words 'Fusion Dance'. This couldn't have been some kind of joke, right? Perhaps this was supposed to be a form of comedy to prepare them for the real technique? They truly did show they knew fusion due to being two separate beings now but this couldn't be the real technique. But in any case, the Hybrid Demon would stare at the two as they began their dance. It was so much worse than 'a joke'. The dance itself seemed utterly absurd as they started it... was the path to fusion really so, self-degrading? Then again, perhaps going through the steps itself would be more entertaining to do, than watch. With that in mind, Bernael would start to follow along with the duo's steps, waiting a few seconds to do so, making sure that he was behind them so that he didn't miss anything at all. He still wasn't sure if this was really the path to fusion, but it could be entertaining and maybe playing along was the key to get them to cough up the real technique.
The teaching of the fusion dance was quite the work. It was embarrassing to Galen and it seemed to intrigue Bernael as well, but the two metamoran were making sure they took it seriously with their remarks. "You should always say" one started. "FUUUUUUSION, HA! As you proceed to move your hands" the other continued. "Above your heads!" the first concluded. The way they spoke was enough of a clue of their aligned state of mind due to the extensive time they spent fused together. But during the lessons, they explained many things, always one completing the other's sentences. "If you mess it up..." one started. "You may end up a fat loser!" the other said, chuckling. "Or a skinny weakling! Keke!" they explained and although Galen wasn't sure they were being literal, he decided there were risks involved in a poor performance of this weird dance. "I see... But, sir, how long does the fusion last?" he asked, and they were kind enough to promptly answer. "If you are not like us!" he started. "Only for about 30 minutes!" Mura said, but Masa had something else to add. "But if you use a LOOOOT of power..." and Mura concluded. "It may last as little as 5 minutes! kekeke!" and that was a very important set of information.
Galen was taking a mental note of everything and trying to get the steps right together with Bernael. After a few hours of practice, they decided they were ready to try it. "Follow our steps!" Masa said. "And fuse like us!" Mura instructed and, with the order being issued, Galen leaped so he could be side by side with Bernael, but before they could start, the Metamorans interrupted again, with both of them pointing their fingers at Bernael. "Your ki is much stronger!" he started. "If you don't suppress to match his..." and the other finished for him. "The dance will not work!" he stated.

With how extensive this lesson was for the two of them, it seemed this very well was the technique they were talking about. That, or they were making such a joke last way too long. But nonetheless, he didn't want to mess up the training, so the Hybrid decided that it would be best to learn the dance in full. They gave the two of them a lot of information to go off of, such as how they had to say the exact same lines together as they moved their hands. Furthermore, the outcome of a failed fusion could easily dramatically ruin their ability to fight. That meant this technique could be useless if not perfected beforehand, and make a hard fight even tougher. Furthermore, it seemed to last 30 minutes which could mean everything in a true battle. Seeing as the smaller time limit was for a ton of power output, the two fail states they mentioned before most likely took up the larger time limit. It meant every detail had to be examined fully, but the Hybrid tried not to mind and learned along with Galen as they practiced for hours.
The Hyrbid's eyes slowly glided over to Galen as they were in a position to start the fusion dance for real this time. Bernael was about to move his arms into position to actually begin the first step, but both of the Metamorans practically singled him out for a second. "Huh?" he'd sound a little surprised as they called him out and talked about needing to suppress his power. That was easy enough, and if the dance itself would not work without it, he'd easily comply. "Alright." his eyes slowly closed shut, pushing his ki sense out to Galen to get a notion of his power level, before immediately dropping his own as best as he could with his ki suppression. His power fluctuated around as he cross-checked his power compared to the Earthling before he was satisfied with the match that came up. Hopefully, that was all that he needed to do for preparation.
With a look of determination in his eyes from all of the time spent learning the technique, he'd look back towards Galen to confirm that they were going to start with just a look of the eye to make sure they were in somewhat sync for this. He wanted to believe that the time spent getting the steps right would mean something.
Bernael's feet moved to a spread position, both of his hands pointing out to the side facing away from Galen. Immediately, he'd start to shuffle towards the earthling while bringing his arms up and over his head till it was mirrored on the other side, facing towards Galen now. If they were in sync, they'd have met in the middle with their arms pointed inwards of the two, all fingers pointed out that way. "Fuuuuuu..." the hybrid spoke the first command response for the dance as all of this happened. Within another split second, his leg on the outside of the mirrored pair would cross up and passed the inward leg, the demon now standing on the tips of his toes for the remaining foot. Alongside this, his arms passed over his chest once more back to the starting position, however, his hands were now fists. "...Sion." he spoke out further at this point, finishing the first full word for the dance.
Next was probably the most crucial bit, as it had so many different ways it could fail. Nonetheless, the hybrid immediately shot his outward leg as far as it could go, pointed out. He leaned over during all of this, his arms both arched out with his fingertips entirely straightened out to touch the tips of his fingers with Galens, had they done it in sync with one another. "Ha!" Bernael let out this last word with a mighty roar of his voice. All that remained, was to see if the pair had done it right. This was the true test of their training. [Suppression: 222,835] [Attempting to use the Fusion Dance with Galen ]
Apparently the fusion dance technique wouldn't work just yet because of the gap in between their powers. Galen arched both his brows, surprised with the information and then he blushed, scratching the back of his head, feeling rather ashamed of his lackluster ki energy levels. "I'm so sorry, Bern. I feel a bit ashamed I'm not on your level..." he began explaining himself, only to be interrupted by the Metamorans. "This does not matter!" one started. "The power will still be overwhelming!" the other finished the explanation and Galen nodded, acknowledging their explanation and then proceed to focus on performing the quite ignominious dancing technique.
Galen perfectly mimicked the movements Bernael was performing in a mirror fashion, aligning himself to him as they proceed to follow the steps of the technique. "Fuuuuuuu... SION!" he started as he moved his body and arms, pending to the side and stretching both his index fingers in order to touch the tip of Bernael's fingers. "Ha!" he exclaimed upon touching the fingers and, all of a sudden, an immense bright light took over the place as their bodies and souls merged together. The sense of individuality was vanishing quickly, but none of their memories or experiences, feelings even, disappeared. Instead, they were the pillars of the personality of this new being that was being born through the power of the metamoran secret technique. "Looks like..." the first one started. "They truly did it!" the other completed, nodding as they both chuckled, folding their arms in front of their chest.
The form of the creature was a perfect mix of the physical features of Galen and Bernael. It had pretty much the same clothing of the Metamorans before them and, as it couldn't be different, a sword on his back as both the warriors who were part of this fusion were swordsman.
[Fusion Power Level: 418,268]
"Quite strong!" he chuckled. "And now you have all the abilities!" the other continued before allowing the first to conclude the line of thought. "That both of your fusees have!" he stated, making a brief nod. "So, how does it..." and the other finished the sentence. "Feels like?" they asked.

Bernael made no reaction to the light that overtook their bodies as they fused, seeing it more as a completion of their training than anything intimidating. But soon enough, the being known as Bernael was no more and in the spot of the two, was one. A magnificent specimen of power compared to what the two of them were suppressed down to before. It had even surpassed the power the single demon had on his own despite the lowering of his own power, they were entirely powered up. "So this is the power of those two known as Bernael and Galen fused... I suppose that means I'm Berlen." the two voices within the fusions body mixed together into a perfect blend. It was almost pure insanity how versatile this sounded. It took a moment to process the power this body held, as neither of the fusees had ever tapped into a base power this high before. It was certainly the ace up the sleeve that they said it to be previously.
After giving the realization enough time to process, the fused fighter turned towards the duo who had taught them this technique. "It feels like a rush. The output is unreal compared to what those two used.I wonder how much stronger I could get." the last line was more a question towards itself. Its arms moved to its sides as it pulled upon the power of the hybrid's potential to unleash a massive white aura around their body as their fused voices let out a gigantic roar in unison. Their power level quintupled itself in an instant as their eyes dropped to meet their hands, before looking back towards the duo of Metamorans. "This Fusion Dance... to think its limit shattering aspects could go this far. Mura,Masa... I must thank you both for giving me life on this day, they couldn't have done it without you two." the fusion's hands dropped back down by its sides as it stared towards the Metamoran duo. The two fusees were of one mind now, however, how would that change the outcome of this technique? [Fusion Mastered Power (x5): 2,091,340]
